I’ve been holding off meeting/talking to Isobel bc I kind of want that scene to be the crux of yves’ arc in act 2. she’s been having this conflict of nature thing going on because she’s the cleric who is helping/saving people but I also think her memory is starting to get triggered as she explores moonrise. she feels a sense of dread and familiarity with the place which is pushing her to slip into the dark urge. but anyway, I’m crying tho because of this line that wyll says -

wyll thanking her for showing him the best side of her and then cue the act 2 durge scene where he’s there by her side encouraging and cheering her on as she fights against the dark urge im so sick actually…..!!!!!!

You know how earlier this year I read that sapphic romance book about like, the woman who worked at a gym and the love interest who ghosted her fiancé on her wedding day and I hated it and hated pretty much all the characters and found it generally awful in terms of writing and well, everything? God. Everyone was so hateable in that one.

Lol. A month or two ago I got a YA book that I initially didn’t realize was by the same author (although I did learn early on), but it was like. So much better to me than the other, and now I kind of want to read her other YA books too lol. I think I just feel like maybe her writing style suits YA better or something bc whatever the fuck that gym one was was. Uffda. Tbf I was given it for free so I can’t complain a ton but.

#by bug #i admittedly don’t read a lot of modern romance stuff so it always makes me wince a little #historical romance I really tend to enjoy tho #esp sarah waters books or things that are similar to them bc they’re not like. fully romance but tend to have legit stories and twists #I recommend them very much for wlw romance #anyway. the one I just finished was ‘some girls do’ & it was a super fast read but kind of wholesome ig lol #i would recommend for the age range anyway. or ig ppl like me who didn’t get exposed to books like that earlier and want something cute #now I move onto something sadder called ‘forget me not’ which is also YA I think? but more depressing?#I think it’s about two girls who are planning to run away after school but one gets amnesia??? lol idk man #so far I do like the writing style a lot tho #I have higher hopes for this one

Me playing Mario vs Donkey Kong: Man this game is so janky! I’ve got so many unnecessary deaths because of it! How are you supposed to do some of this stuff?!

#Super Mario #Mario vs Donkey Kong #Flor talks #got to this amount at world 6+ if you’re wondering #and tbf most of my deaths in the first 6 worlds (and 6+) are in levels that give you a life; so it’s easy not to lose many lives #tho I NEVER would’ve reached 99 lives had the time attack mode made you lose them for each failure #finished this game yesterday and it’s a huge mixed bag #fun enough to finish 100% but it’s definitely going to end up in the pile of never-touched-again completed games #thing is I do like that it’s difficult and that enemies can one-shot you #but a lot of deaths are due to jankiness rather than a skill issue; which gets very frustrating very quickly #a lot of times I considered going into casual mode; which I ended up doing for two challenge levels #those levels being the long bob-omb one bc their hitbox is the worst thing about this game #and the vertical ghosts shy-guys one bc how the hell are you supposed to get all presents without getting hit ???#now I did complete those levels on time attack but also time attack doesn’t have presents to get #on that note my favorite things about this game are time attacks and the ‘plus’ worlds with mini mario #I think the fact you don’t lose lives for time attacks removes some pressure and allows you to experiment (and die) a lot #it’s also a very satisfying mode; the time is tight so it requires skill and having to learn a level; I really like it !#As for mini Mario his movements are incredibly janky but it’s a cute little guy; I love them so much they’re adorable !#So doing levels with one of them is great ! Lots of ‘don’t talk to me or my son ever again’ vibe too
