The thing that’s so special to me about Emily Prentiss being lesbian is that she’d be a specific type of lesbian the media is sorely missing.
This is a very middle-aged woman with multiple sexual experiences with men that significantly impact who she is as a character (pregnant at 15, seducing Ian). Like they are canon, and undeniably formative experiences for her personality and how she interacts with other people/the team.
Having her realize her sexuality now would not only be such an incredibly story arc, it would also be representing so many lesbians who don’t get that type of representation.

Something I think is cute is that - y’know how Raph’s eyes are more on the yellow side?
Well, you know who also has slightly yellowed eyes? Donnie.
While Raph’s are more yellow, I think it’s cute that this is something that they share and I don’t see it pointed out too often?
It’s also something they both share with Draxum and Splinter’s current form (though again, these two have much more yellow sclera than the boys do.)
But yeah, I like that there’s this little detail that ties Raph and Donnie together, even if it’s small.

Modern adaptations of The Iliad and Odyssey and Persephone often feel so unimaginative and dull when they’re completely removed from the oral tradition context they were composed for. They’re poems written for the philosophical traditions of the ancient world, and they feel like fireside fables because they are; full of warning about piety to fickle and demanding gods and steeped in this old-world mythological logic that’s still so captivating.
It’s not the most enjoyable reading by any means, but I can recall and retell the story of Odysseus tricking the cyclops so easily, the way I couldn’t for even my favourite books. It’s written for storytelling, and it’s a bit of a lost art!
And you really do lose me when I read an adaptation of the classics and it’s got a surface layer of the myth with no poetry underneath. When you’re bogged down in the literal or mired in the traditions of modern narratives, you totally drain the magic from the thing.

anyways i genuinely hope all of these jokes about philza, jordan, etc being old and senile doesn’t get internalized by any of the kids in this fandom. you’re not old in your 30s. you’re not past your prime, you haven’t wasted away your “golden years”, turning 30 or even reaching your 20s doesn’t mean you’ve already passed the best years of your life. your teens and early 20s are most likely not going to be your peak. it’s okay if you haven’t had the big, life-altering coming of age story or life-changing trip by the time you’re out of high school or college. it’s okay if you haven’t blown up on content creation or haven’t had the opportunity to even start. as funny as some of the jokes can be, and as much as they’re meant to just stay jokes, it’s been shown that they’ve already had an impact on how some of the younger fans view aging and one’s lifespan, and i hope something can be done to counteract that at some point

Jon silently making contingencies about every doomsday he can imagine. Jon using all he knows about investigative journalism to make sure none of the evil universes he keeps encountering are permanent problems. Jon knowing every persons weakness because he’s paranoid making sure there’s not an injustice-like event in his world. Jon making friends but making sure he can take them down if the worst comes, too.

All I’m going to say I think now that my brain remembered part of what it was thinking is that Taylor and Joe went through a lot together (good and bad) and regardless of how it ended or what led to it they both seem to be determined to keep that private and not throw each other under the bus and in the end they’re just two very, very different people whose outlooks in the long term were just never going to align and never has that been clearer.

Lmao okay so Cassandra and Daniela were the loudest advocates for having pets in the castle but Alcina always said no because it’s plenty of work for everyone to look after the three daughters and no one has the energy to do the same for pets (because tbh the daughters can’t do much on their own they have maids that literally do everything for them like they barely even dress themselves there is always someone helping them and this is just ONE example)
Anyway, years and years later, life made a full circle and one Cassandra Dimitrescu was asked by her very own daughters if they can have a pet. Cassandra took a moment to realize that if it’s not for her wife, this family would be in shambles because Cass can barely keep herself alive let alone her children. And then she realized that her mother was right. It is a lot of work already and having pets is not going to work.
Cass would rather die than admit her mother is right but she fully gets it now

Need you to know how incredibly entertained I am whenever Crassus or Cassius make the 'i am unimpressed' face in your art!
I’m glad! they share a lot of body language similarities on purpose, but the ‘I’m not impressed with this,’ expression is my favorite

I know midnight mass goes super hard on the cannibalism imagery but it really got me going like. Yeah the Eucharist is just Like That tbh. You’ve been there all morning and you’re so hungry and they pull out those shitty little cardboard wafers and the wine (sometimes they had grape juice for the kids,) and they tell you that it’s the literal flesh and blood of this guy they’ve got nailed naked and bleeding to a cross on every wall around you and that scene where everyone’s tearing into each other is exactly what the inside of my head looked like at 9 years old dude. Idk how you’re supposed to come out of that experience and NOT be into cannibalism.

wangxian is actually one of the only ships i enjoy reading modern AUs for bc i feel like every single one i’ve read has still effectively capture how fucking weird wwx and lwj are. like yeah they’re in the modern day they’re college students they’re professional whatevers but they are still the oddest fucking guys ever. and it’s even more charmingly odd in a modern setting bc they’re gonna talk about defying fate and standing for justice and dying in each other’s arms and then they’re gonna call an uber

You know those kids shows where there’s like a happy upbeat host to it that kids go wild over?
Thinking about Vulcan children bringing that kind of energy to a person who just posts “How To” videos that aren’t aimed at kids at all
