I went to a bird park for my birthday last week and oh! My! GODDDDDDDDD! I thought it would be just local endemic species which still would’ve been amazing, but they had my absolute favorite birds from around the world and ahhhhhhhh!!!! so photo dump rated 1 to 10

1. Himalayan Monal because that’s my second favorite bird of all time and I never ever thought I’d get a chance to actually see one!!

2. Blue-bellied roller. Rollers are one of my favorite groups of birds and I was so happy they had one and managed to get a fairly good photo of him in flight!

3. Roseate spoonbill- one of the birds I’ve always wanted to see, and I didn’t know they’d be there! There were so so many of them it was amazing!!

4. Parakeets!!!!! We got the chance to feed them and they were all over me!!! Definitely got a bunch of bites because they were pecking at me like crazy but so worth it!

5. Scarlet ibis!!! They were so much more vibrant in person than in photos which I didn’t even think was possible!!

6. Golden pheasant- completely took my breath away, just such a magnificent bird!!!

7. Great crowned crane- so so fuckin magestic. Right up close to us and they’re my favorite species of crane- there were also some gorgeous Sarus cranes and demoiselle cranes too!

8. Blue crowned pigeons!!!! Much bigger than I had thought they were, but just as majestic!!

9. Great Argus. My family burst out laughing because I saw it and immediately shouted “OH MY GOD THE GREAT ARGUS” and they thought it was hilarious

10. Malayan peacock pheasant. My jaw dropped when I saw them because again I never thought I’d see one in person ever. They also had mountain peacock pheasants a which are some of my absolute favs but they were much more shy so I didn’t want to bother them and didn’t get any pics

Runner ups: silver pheasants, black-necked swans, toco toucans, satyr tragopans, magpie jays, red-billed blue magpies, hyacinth macaws, Brazilian teals, and so so many beautiful waterfowl. Best day everrrrrrrrr 😭😭😭

the moment christian realises he’s absolutely a broken man. like the way toto’s hair was ALWAYS dark, it has always been dark, no matter his age, literally no signs of aging to that man except for maybe the one million lines on his face but still! christian’s aging was much more visible, first the hair, then the glasses, when toto just kind of. stayed the same. so the moment christian sees it, it’s over for him.

the eyelashes were first. it’s such a minor, small detail that he barely even notices until one morning he wakes up before him and sees one or two single eyelashes just. white.

but the hair? oh jesus. christian is The First to notice.

“Did you use dry shampoo this morning or something?”

“What? Dry shampoo? What is that?”

“Darling…” Christian almost can’t believe it. “Toto, I think you’re going grey.”

“What?”

Christian’s thumb brushes the cowlick at the back of Toto’s head, watches as the hairs bend and follow before they fall back into shape. They’re losing colour, just in that spot, fanning out like a flower that’s slowly running out of ink, a brownish grey, some strands already fully white. Christian’s heart aches at the sight of it. He bends down and presses a kiss to the spot, lingers.

Toto shuffles out of his hold. His hand comes up to the spot Christian just kissed, rubs at it like he will be able to feel the grey or maybe rub it off.

Christian finds himself smiling, with heart shattering fondness, down at the man he loves more than anything in the world.

He reaches out and finds Toto’s fingers, doesn’t push them away, just rubs at them, soothingly. “It’s finally happening, huh?”

“You need to take a picture and show me.”

Christian chuckles, and does. It’s right there, almost like white powder stuck to Toto’s roots, like dry shampoo that he didn’t comb out properly. Only it’s not that, it’s real, and it won’t go away. Christian knows all too well.

“How is this— Is it only this? Only that spot?”

“Yeah.” Christian brushes his fingers through Toto’s hair, checks the dark strands. Anywhere else he’s as dark as he used to be, perhaps a little lighter on top, at the back, but that’s from how much time he’s spent in the sun lately. He's had a stray white strand here and there, but this is new.

“How long has it been there?”

“I have no idea. I only just noticed.”

“How long do I have left do you think?”

Christian startles a laugh, smothers it to the wild mess of Toto’s hair when he wraps himself around him from behind, rests his forehead there. "Don't make it sound like that. It’s just grey hair, it doesn’t mean anything other than you getting even sexier. I'll have to come up with a new way to fight off all your suiters."

Toto scoffs the shortest little puff of amusement, but there’s a little edge to him. “You find this sexy? One little white patch? Sexy?”

“Very.” Christian presses another kiss to his head. “You'll be salt and pepper in no time."

“I’m so old.” Toto almost sounds disappointed.

“You’re my husband.”

Toto scrunches up his face, like he’s unwilling to give Christian this, even though it’s a winning argument. "And so old."

"I'm married to an old man," Christian agrees, lightly, just to be a shit, but then the meaning of his words hits him. "We said fifty more years, though, alright? At least. That's a done deal. We shook on it."

Toto looks up at him. Knows. Knows what he's saying, what he's not saying, right away.

“Fifty more years,” Toto echoes. Covers one of Christian’s hands with his own.

"At least," Christian says, serious.

Toto rolls his eyes, just a little. "At least, yes. But that is a very long time to be stuck with you."

"And you better be fucking grateful."

Toto's face morphs into a smile, so wide that his eyes close with it. He leans up for a kiss. Christian allows it. “I get it now," he tells him, one hand going back to his hair, brushing soft strands out of his forehead. “Why you get so riled up when I'm wearing my glasses.”

"I don't get riled up-" "Oh, now you're old and a liar, huh?"

i just realized two things!!!

one: louis will probably hear from other vampires (telepathically) about lestat going and divulging their secrets and what they want to do to him (which ultimately is moot since akasha comes in the end)… how do you think he would react or feel if this were to happen?

second: i really really do hope they adapt the “do you love me now?” “yes” lines that loustat do before the big concert since they’re sure a pivotal point for them 🥺 do you think this is something they’ll adapt as well (or in some form make it their own if it’s not a literal adaptation of the line) or do you think this will be something they’ll take longer to show us (i mean we already know but louis saying it explicitly is huge)

I mean, we saw how he reacted to threats to his own life because of divulging secrets, right?

However, that threat being leveled at Lestat could mean different behavior. It depends a bit on the way their relationship status is, if the reunion was real, and so on. The love is always there so Louis would, eventually, start to worry for him, and try to find him, like in the book I think.

Just the level of worry, and the way Louis expresses that might be a bit different here^^.

It’s been years since a kiss made Jason weak in the knees, since a man made his heart skip a beat and butterflies tickle his stomach. That it's Dick only makes sense—he was the last to steal Jason's breath; it's about damn time he came to give it back.

Three years and it felt like a lifetime; three years and it's like no time at all because Dick still kisses the same.

It makes Jason want to tease him, but the implication that Dick hasn't kissed anyone since Jason leaves his cheeks flushing hot; a pink stain that burns even the tips of his ears. That besides, what would it say about Jason that he remembers Dick's affections so well?

“To think an honorable knight would want to spend their homecoming with a common street whore.” Jason jokes, so breathless he feels lightheaded.

Through the press of their lips Jason feels Dick smile—feels the breath from his laughter, filled with wonder and awe.  It’s contagious; Jason can feel himself smiling, too.  Just as wonder struck, just as awed.

“Nothing honorable about me.” Dick says, not missing a beat as he kisses the corner of Jason’s mouth, the cut of his jaw and the line of his neck.  Pulling down the hood of Jason's cloak to expose the hickeys that line Jason's throat and leaving his claim over them—suck marks, bruises; a disparately chaste and tender peck to Jason's fluttering pulse before Dick is smiling again, "Nothing common about you."

Jason tries and fails to still his heart at the praise, distracted by Dick's sinful mouth and all of his languid, open-mouthed kisses. He'll make a mess of Jason; he always did. His other patrons always hated it, but to hell with them. It's been three years. Jason wants to walk away from this encounter wrecked; he wants to be leaking for the next man to see—wants everyone that has him after to know that Dick had him first and fucked him better.

In a broken, gasping voice, Jason teases, “So you say, but you’re the one who 'single-handedly' ended a war.  Marched dead men out from a slaughter and back to their home and families.”

“Is that what they’re saying?” Dick asks, distracted as he gets Jason off on nothing but the low pitch of his voice and the span of his hands along Jason's hips.

“Mhm.” Jason hums. “Rumor has it you even brought the gods to their knees.”

“I’d much rather bring you to yours.” Dick quips, pulling back just enough to smirk at Jason, and it's here that Jason sees how three years have changed Dick. Three years of fighting a war not his own, made to bleed in the colors of the Court -a prisoner to king and country- and Dick's once steady hands tremble, that persisting light in his eyes a flickering, fading thing.

This AU is a mess because it's a little grand for where my skills are. Also, this is actually a fantasy story with magic and yet there's no mention of it anywhere yet because this was also a rough draft of a more intimate scene and I was supposed to go back and edit but whoops ahhhhhahaha. While these two are making out and fooling around? They're actually tucked away in an alcove. And the 'Court' is partially flooded (because Dick's gravity magic drew the ocean closer over the years he was kept there), so they're standing in shallow water and because Dick is all happy there's supposed to be water pulled up around them and water drops being all pretty and ahhhhhhhh

In the same happy vibes as above, Dick making them both weightless because he's so at peace ;U;

Like Jason actually startling a bit and snickering because Dick's magic gives away how happy he is. Jason finding some relief in that - that it's not just him.

Also, during the war: monstrous!Dick Grayson who bore down on everything and devastated entire cities ///u///

Another detail - the excessive use of magic staining Dick's fingers/hands black because idc what anyone says that's peak character design ahhhhhhhhhhhhh

I'm sorry it took me a few days to get back to you! College is a huge transition, and I'm not gonna lie, it can be hard. It's scary to be on your own, and away from your support system. My advice is to join some clubs, keep busy, and talk about it. The cool thing is, everyone is going through the same thing. Everyone is scared, and everyone has no fucking clue what they're doing. ngl I really look forward to the reunion of the younger Satoru and Suguru with MC :)) I just know they’re going to be clingy af after all that has occurred and the current situation is gonna be the cherry on top - also I find your Gojo Clan characters to be absolutely amazing (Toru’s dad especially 👀) and I love the diverse range between them yet how they all have similar traits to connect them besides their physical ones (their humor and more laid-back attitude when compared to the other old-school Clans for example)

Ahhhhhhhh, I’m looking forward to our reunion too. Lmao! Gojo will be especially clingy right off the jump. Suguru is still coming around but after this last debacle Gojo is definitely becoming attached.

😭😭😭😭 That is seriously the nicest thing to hear that you are enjoying the Gojo family. I know it’s a fine line between non-canon characters being interesting and annoying and I really try to keep that in mind. One of the choices Gege made in not giving Satoru a family really bothered me. Gege in an interview when asked if Satoru has family stated, “Who knows?”

Well Gege may not love Satoru but we the fans fucking do. Our baby deserves a family! I decided I didn’t want a hostile family environment for those I made up (Inumaki, Ino, Gojo so far) because all the ones Gege expanded upon in JJK ARE traumatic.

I’m thrilled you like Satoshi Gojo. He’s definitely the pillar of their family despite being more reserved. While he was never a misogynist like some of the other clan heads, being a father of daughters changed his perspective on things. He was able to see the struggles women face growing up and wants to make the world a better place for them to thrive in. I’m trying to show that in his actions.

I LOVED this episode. All of the stuff with Weiss FINALLY blowing up at the bullshit of Atlas was so freaking good. And then the fight with Tyrian, where we finally get to hear the guy talk more, was excellent

I have to admit, he’s fucking awful, but he’s very entertaining. I am not immune to a skrunkly little stab guy

Next time I’m hoping for the aforementioned fight and hopefully afterwards an explanation from Qrow to the kids about The Plot. Because if you’re gonna let them wander around mostly unprotected, they deserve to know. They deserve to know anyways, they’re lives were just destroyed by one of Salem’s minions, but now you really have no excuse

Also maybe Blake and or Yang next time, since neither of them were in this episode. Probably gonna take a break from Weiss since she had her whole blow up. Good for her, good for her
