WELL SINCE YOU ASKED! :D what's the best way to get to know your d&d OCs?? do you have a collection of info about some of your favorites somewhere? a series of memes? writing pieces? I'd love to have a good starting point to get to know them!

AHH HI HEY HELLO FIRST OF ALL I LOVE YOU FOR ASKING!! I wish I had a good, like-- something succinct to answer with, lmao. I have an OC About Page on my art blog, but it needs updating and isn't accessible on mobile :') I've been meaning to do pinned posts and/or make a carrd or something to intro all my OCs, I just need to get around to it... and like, since all I ever draw or talk about is my OCs I've been meaning to make it a point to prioritize it haha, so, I think that'll be my immediate post holidays project 🤔

as it currently stands, I tag everything related to my OCs both on main and on blujaydoodles with that OC's name, including answered asks and memes and stuff. I also keep up running '[oc name] insp' tags for everyone on main but idk if those would be of interest to anyone but me lmao, they're mostly like, vibes and shitposts and/or aesthetics that remind me of that OC in some way

Elyss is my water genasi ranger! she's spent half of her life feeling isolated from and unwanted by other people and the other half of her life living alone in the woods, and has spent the entire campaign being surveilled and influenced and betrayed by forces outside her control absolutely constantly, so she has a lot of Issues around love and trust and belonging and control, and a lot of trauma that her campaign's circumstances just keep compounding :') also she's a kill machine, and also she's my longest-running dnd character and still my favorite, my beloved girl

Idri is my forest gnome rogue! she's an arcane trickster whose dad wanted her to go to Wizard College but who opted to join the circus instead because studying tomes all day sounded boring, and when her mentor at the circus died she quit to join an adventuring guild looking for fame and excitement (and to just kinda opt out of processing her grief entirely oops lol no thanks bye) Her campaign is dead in the water so I don't talk about her as much anymore but she's still my lil sunbeam and I lov her ;n;

Juniper is my human druid! She comes from a long line of druids; specifically her family are traditionally the village Wise Woman, but she ran away from home to apprentice with cartographers instead because she's a big nerd (and struggles with suffering and mortality and doesn't think she'd make a very good full time village healer at all tbh) In her campaign she's the only one without, like, Severe Backstory Trauma and she's a mom friend with a martyr complex trying to solve everyone's problems while being wildly out of her depth to relate to anybody else, so she's anxious all the time :'). Also she's FINALLY dating the monk after like two real life years of obliviously mutual pining <3

Aubree is my halfling fighter! She's a lil bit of a roughneck, but fiercely good-hearted; blunt, loud, picks fights she knows she can't win if it's worth making a stand on principle for what's right. She also has a boar called Truffles, whom she found and adopted as an abandoned runt and now rides (and dotes on, that's her best friend). She also died three sessions into her campaign, but she got better, so the story around all of that is, you know, The Whole Thing this campaign is about and oh man it's been A Lot

Melliwyk is my gnome wizard/ artificer! At the beginning of her campaign, the art of creating magic items was eons-lost in her world, so, her whole thing was trying to rediscover or reinvent that process. Now her campaign is mostly about unraveling ancient mysteries (good! her whole jam!!) and uncovering deeply evil and complex conspiracies (wuh oh, not so good!). Her whole thing is she wants to learn EVERYTHING and try EVERYTHING and her originally intended vibe is 'low wis chaotic mad scientist who is blithely unconcerned with risks or consequences', which, she's had a lot of character growth and gained a lot of depth but that's still the heart of her as a concept. Also she has Magical Narcolepsy as the result of a failed experiment, so she spends a lot of time collapsing into an ungainly heap or being carried around in someone else's backpack

Nyssa is my satyr warlock! She's one of my older dnd OCs but there's not as much to say about her because I've never been able to play her regularly :') She's a sweet, gentle creature from a small and closeknit hedonist utopian satyr flock in the woods, so when I have played her it's been a lot of playing with the dissonance in 'gentle pacifist whose warlock magic is mostly aggressive' and 'a satyr trying to navigate Society, with like, clothes and money and (as far as she can tell) no sex for some reason??'

Felix is my NEW BOY that I fixated on instantly despite only getting to play him like. three times. and his campaign probably being dead before it started :') he's a forest gnome inquisitive rogue who loves Finding Stuff Out; he spends most of his time people watching and eavesdropping and taking it upon himself to investigate mysteries just out of curiosity. he also loves small animals and is friends with, in particular, most rats, cats, and small birds

Quick n dirty rundown of other OCs I talk about significantly less, for various reasons: Kethri, my utter sweetheart halfling bard who has found herself thrust backwards in time and, to her dismay, into a position of significant social power for reasons that are still unclear; Tsakesh, my khajiit archer who just wanted to explore some dwemer ruins and examine some weird devices but ended up wrapped up in some daedric end of the world bullshittery; Ambrose, my half-elf bard who is a poet, linguist, and ancient historian studying the ruins of a lost people who all mysteriously vanished at once; and honorable mention to Indigo, my gnome circle of stars druid pirate who's only a one shot character but whom I keep drawing and thinkin about anyway because they're cool 😌

So Hello There to all people following me who are still there. I guess it’s finally time for an update and what may happen in the future So, why I disappeared? Honestly? I can’t really pinpoint the reason. I finished highschool, got to my dream college, finally moved to a big city and now I have the adult resposibilities™. Another thing is, after the second DLC my passion for doom kinda fizzled out. I still love the base game and I do hope we get some more lore either through next game, spin-offs books, comics anything that isn’t streams really. It was just hard to do anything doom related when the game’s end left a bad taste in my mouth. Another thing is that, I am now a trans dude and i go by he/they! I know the “now” might sound weird but I started this blog when i was stil a cis woman. So woho to me coming out. So now that we got through the updates and comfirming that i am in fact not dead, time to say what will happen or at least what I hope will happen. I will try to go back to writing my fic, I still think about it, I’m still working on the story and I have a a lot of stuff written for it, I just need to organise it and maybe make it sound somewhat good. I also have other stories with my doom ocs planned out that i want to put out there somewhere. I might ignore the lore of the dlcs somewhat tho, purely because I don’t like them. There are also new fandoms I’m Into, mainly Devil May Cry so don’t be surprised when you see the wacky woo hoo pizza man himself on my blog. At first I wanted to keep it purely doom but with twitter collapsing on itself rn and other websides and social media being meh at best i will just kinda, throw evething in here, it’s my blog after all. And yes i might write or draw something from these fandoms too. How often i will post? it’s hard to tell really. as of now uni is surprisingly *not* kicking my ass but who knows how long that will last. Another thing is that I draw slow as fuck same with writing and with my schedule already being busy I don’t have that much time to work on stuff. sometime in this last week, or this week coming, my blog has turned/turns 10. god. a decade old. a whole ass chunk of my life i’ve spent on this hellsite. when i began on here, i was a kid. a lost, lonely, depressed and anxious 15/16 year old kid. a kid scared of her future. a kid confused about her future. what to do for uni. to change schools or not??? to do drama/acting at uni or english/philosophy or to move 8hrs away to another regional uni to “escape” her “washed up, dead end hometown” that was so typical of all the pop-punk music that she was listening to at the time.

she was a tad overdramatic, loud, “funny” (as described by her school friends) and terribly forgetful in regards to homework and school assignments. she was angry at the world, most especially the catholic school she was fucking sick and tired of attending. but she was convinced that since she was the so-called “funny girl”, that she simply couldn’t be depressed or anxious. she believed herself unloveable because she didn’t look like a weird mixture of hayley williams and emo-pop queen lights. but now, i no longer believe that i have to look like the women that i looked up to in the ~emo scene~. fuck beauty standards. i am loveable.

in the years since joining tumblr, i’ve managed to get through business college, my undergrad degree and, well, failed out of postgrad due to obvious burnout and health issues amongst other things. although i’ve lost many friends irl and many followers/mutuals online on here. for those who’ve stuck around to see me get through all of this, thank you. to all the friends/casual mutuals that have since deactivated or only followed me for a short time then unfollowed; thank you.

like obviously i was never/have never been a massive popular blog on here, like thebootydiaries or vampireapologist (who has since deactivated a couple of months ago) with tens of thousands of followers. my follower count is still close to the 8,000 range at 7,892. obviously that’s still a lot of people (and of course, porn bots lmao and many, many non-active blogs), enough like one super old post from like 2012 tumblr pointed out, enough for a small to medium sized city or town, or something like that. i don’t know how many people i’ve really reached. i really don’t know how i actually amassed this small army of people.

i am aware though, that on other platforms like snapchat (lmao does anyone even use it anymore in 2021???)/instagram/youtube/tiktok etc, i’d PROBABLY be considered as some type of ~micro influencer (🤮🤮)~. hell, i actually had a bot slide into my notes about being one on here on this hellsite back in 2019. i don’t know if i’ve ever actually ~influenced~ anyone on here with my shitposts (when i started making some) or my personal posts. i don’t know my reach. even though, now, i do occasionally get featured on buzzfeed listicles (although pay me buzzfeed along with the OPs of those original embedded posts), i still don’t know how many people i’ve reached… and even with my very occasional checks of google analytics lmao. on top of this, grappling with the loss of followers at times is much, much easier than it was when i began on here and the first few years following that. i know that my follower count doesn’t determine my worth and stuff.

but over these 10 years, i have grown. i turn 26 this year. back in 2011, 15/16yo me never thought she’d be here. she was partially down the suicidal thoughts hole, with things about ~picturing her funeral and wondering who’d bother to turn up. if only she could pretend to be dead for a day to see who’d give a fuck~ and 16-18yo me was defs down it with her HSC hellscape thoughts in 2012/2013. that 3rd floor tafe/tech women’s bathroom window drop and the thought of scarring her class for life (and that cool dude from catholic school that she crushed on who ended up at tafe with her) with jumping out of it onto the concrete below. instead, she just posted on fb about ~being a failure~ etc which ultimately did lose her a bunch of facebook friends lmao. it was practically the same thing. her mental breakdown after the end of her hsc, where she let her earrings go green and get infected in her ears because “fuck self care, bc what the fuck is it??? i’ll never get better! let me fucking wallow in my self loathing bc it’s the only thing that i’m fucking good at!!!” so i no longer have my ears pierced. oh! it was just all too fucking much!!

i am happier today. i no longer have those semi-suicidal thoughts. hell, i almost died in 2020 from a fucking bowel aneurysm, after my stomach tumour excision surgery. that forced me to put things into perspective. i appreciate the little things . i appreciate the very few friends that i actually have. yes. i’m still depressed and anxious. some days are still shitty and hard. but nowhere as hard and shitty as they were back when i began on here 10 years ago.

how the fuck last 10 years have gone past, with my ass on here; clearing out my blog and caring more about doing that than my uni work (lmao whoops); having made some lifelong friends both internationally (from the US) and long distance domestically in australia, it’s been a long ride; i honestly have no fucking idea. obviously over these past 10 years, i’ve debated with myself over and over and over again whether i should delete/deactivate this account or not. would it make me healthier??? more than likely. but then when i have meltdowns or just inner ramblings i have to get out somewhere, where else to post??? on fb?? obvs not. it’s “attention seeking” or the like on there. no one will read them. no one will resonate. but on here??? even if i got/get one “like” in the notes or one “yo i feel this” response in the tags or replies, it feels like i’ve reached someone??? okay yeah. i know this place IS NOT therapy and i’m not using my followers as amateur (or probs even actual professional) armchair psychologists…. which is a thing i think people need to stop doing internet-wide: but that’s a whole other post that i reblogged a few days ago lmao. i really need to get another therapist, actually lmao.

but it’s the community i’ve found hard to leave. i have what feel like friends, when i’ve never been employed (still as of yet); and when all of my irl friends/acquaintances are working and doing the whole ~adulting~ and ~grown up life~ thing right. it’s also the frenzied rabidness of spite with hating staff’s godawful ideas. the memes. oh the memes. and also the RaWrInG 20s XD emo scene reemergence on here that’s kept me here. the messy petty drama from time to time of big blogs fighting it out.

this place really is bizarre and fun sometimes. and also the fact that i can still hide behind the ridiculous “roaring pikachu” URL that i made all those years ago. i am anonymous. it’s freeing. but on fb it’s all like “WHY WONT YOU ADD A BANNER IMAGE AND TELL US 20 FUN FACTS ABOUT YOU!!!!!???? 1. Why did you choose this url?

its sort of like a pun between yall dont know and the fact that, hopefully, sincerely, chanyeol does not in fact know that i run this blog lmao i changed to this after a long time of being bread-jinie and i wanted to rebrand. i will, however, do my best to never change URLs again because the masterlist switch over was a complete hassle

i have a fic recs blog called @yeoldontknowiread. as to why i have it, i know it hasnt been updated in ages since ive been kind of on hiatus, but i think reading and sharing work on this platform is immensely important. i actually read quite a lot of fanfiction, and i try my best to share the things i read. im very very behind on recs at the moment cause i try my best to write something substantial for every recommendation i make. as a writer, i know exactly the kinds of thoughts and feedback on fics that make my heart soar so i try to put in the same energy to my recs. community is only fostered when there is reciprocation

hmmm since april 2017. i actually had my 4 year anniversary this year and i did have plans for things but i got roped into real life things and couldnt celebrate the way i truly wanted to :(

no but sometimes i think i should. i view tags as a library on top of my knee jerk response to things. most of my tags are just my initial thoughts or feelings at any given moment, so those take precedence over a specific queue tag

5. Why did you start your blog in the first place?

when i was getting into exo, i was reading fanfiction like crazy. i used to write fanfic quite a lot in other fandoms, but at that time i hadnt written anything in about 2.5 years. exo was the first re-introduction to that feeling of excitement and inspiration. after about 3 weeks of straight reading, i decided i wanted to write again. i wrote the prologue to hero in about two hours and tried logging into AO3 to post it. sadly i forgot all of my log in information because it had been years, and was getting frustrated. i really wanted to put it somewhere out of fear that id lose interest if i didnt do something with it, and everything id read had been on tumblr. so i made a tumblr just to put hero lmao i didnt have any mutuals. it was a blog with straight 0. i hadnt even created an account to interact with writers before that moment, i really thought id be a silent reader forever. but exo woke me back up and for that i am eternally grateful.

6. Why did you choose your icon?

the yours music video is...so stunning? like the colour theory throughout the whole thing is truly so inspiring and gorgeous. and this shot of chanyeol looking at the painting took my breath away, truly. tulips and the color of peach, like do you know how evocative that is? ugh

my header was made by @jamaisjoons for my birthday this year because shes literally the most talented person when it comes to graphics. and this was so kind of her to do, i cried a lot

The two of you are a real team. You’re more laid back and chill while Choptop is loud and crazy, you both go together perfectly. Seriously, even your interests match up nicely. You like collecting bones and dead things? One of the perks of dating a cannibal and living in the middle of rural texas is that there’s bound to be bones just lying around somewhere. Expect Chop Top to bring you human bones from his family’s previous victims, but if you’re not cool with collecting human bones then he’ll take you out to look for animal carcasses. You like jokes? So does Chop! He’s probably really into really bad jokes as well as dad jokes - also a few dirty ones if you’re okay with that. 

Chop Top has PTSD too so he understands what it’s like but he doesn’t understand what you’ve specifically gone through. If you’re comfortable speaking about it with him then he’s all ears. He himself doesn’t really like to talk about the war, but he might if he’s feeling a bit vulnerable. He isn’t very educated on bipolar disorder so if you’re ever feeling overwhelmed or having a depressive episode, Chop Top is one of those people who cries when he sees other people cry so if you’re ever upset you may have to end up comforting him, but he’ll also try to get your mind off of those negative thoughts and try to tell you the dumb jokes that you told him that made him nearly fall over laughing. When you’re feeling more hyper he will keep a closer eye on you just to make sure you don’t get yourself hurt - he may be a sadist but he’s also a gentleman, sort of. Also he’s perfectly fine with you being trans! He doesn’t think any less of you and won’t let anyone treat you badly or misgender you . He is very supportive but he will need you to educate him more on the topic.

Chop Top loves your style since it’s close to his but a little move evolved and he will probably take inspiration from you and try to steal your clothes and if none of them fit him he will steal your sunglasses. Also he doesn’t understand half of your shirts but he still thinks they’re funny - you definitely would’ve had to make a lot of them yourself since this is the 70s, and Chop Top would 100% want to match with you. Your wardrobe is full of bright colours and shitposts (do you like those shirts with oddly specific texts on them? Because that’s all I can think about). Imagine Drayton trying to figure out what the hell your shirts mean. “Never underestimate a man who was born in July and plays the guitar and is terrified of their aunt, and does everything they can to avoid her at family gatherings- What in the goddamn hell is that supposed to mean? What’dya mean there’s worse ones?” Think about it, you and Chop Top laughing your asses off as you both show Drayton your shared collection of weird shirts, congratulations - you’ve broken Drayton. 

Another thing about this rat is that he craves your affection. He’s a very clingy man and that mixed with your physical affection? Heaven to him. The two of you will just lay in bed cuddling for as long as you possibly can before Chop Top needs to get up and deal with his family. Chop Top definitely hates leaving you alone - probably even more than you hate being away from him - but at the end of the day when you guys are reunited, it’s just endless kissing and cuddling until you fall asleep. The joys of being an edgy 14 year old on the internet who was really into media where my favourite characters kept dying. I’ve had this URL for so long and it’s twinned with my AO3 so I wouldn’t know how to part with it.

Too many. Got the standard LGBTQ+ and my current special interest of ATLA, plus my communism/socialism/veganism/environmentalism from when I first got into veganism that I still use occasionally.
