Your toes dip into the heated pool as you lean back on the palm of your hands, head tilted up to gaze at the inky, black sky that houses a plethora of twinkling stars. For a moment, you allow your eyes to close, basking in the soft breeze that flows over you, hear the rustles of the leaves from a tree off in the distance, listen to the dull padding of bare feet on the smooth concrete that outlines the large infinity pool you’re sitting on the edge of as they get closer to your relaxed form, and just when you think he’s going to take a seat next you — your lips curling into a knowing smile in anticipation — you realize you were utterly wrong.

The padding of feet quicken, yes, getting closer to you, yes, only to disappear as soon as they arrived, a loud ‘SPLASH’ accompanied by a rather generous amount of water spraying on your unexpected form. A shocked gasp escapes your parted lips as you squeeze your eyes together, rubbing the water out of them only to open them a second later. Once they focus, you’re able to see the culprit as they pop up for air underneath the water, shaking their head like a wet dog and allowing you to get even more wet.

Your eyes narrow into slits, and puffs of laughter leave his mouth as he waddles his way in the water to you, smoothing his hair down with his hands attempting to tame his long locks, he uses his body to naturally part your closed thighs, hands coming to land on the thick of each one.

Water droplets fall in cascade off of him, and you squeal in detest when he suddenly lurches forward to capture your lips with his, leaning his drenched torso against your once dry one, the white oversized shirt of his your wearing becoming nearly transparent when he pulls away with a mischievous grin, eyes darting to your black, lacy bra that became exposed underneath the fabric due to his actions.

You cross your arms over your chest in defiance, bottom lip jutting out that he wraps his lips around once again with a gentle tug, hands slowly sliding up your thighs to grab onto your love handles and you twitch when his thumbs dig into a well known ticklish spot of yours.

“Jeon Jungkook!” You say in between exhales of laughter, him only stopping when you begin to whine, tummy tightening from the amount of exertion you give out from laughing so hard and you clench your thighs around him with a half playful, half serious threat. “I’m going to pee all over you if you don’t stop!”

“Okay, okay! I’ll stop.” He finally relents, and turns around in your hold, his head now comfortably leaning back to use the valley between your breasts as a pillow. Your arms fold around him as you give up on being dry, tucking his head underneath your chin as his fingers dance lightly up and down your arms to gaze with you up at the stars once again.

When you’re not looking up at the stars, your line of sight shifts to the city lights on the horizon, and if you strain your hearing enough you may just be able to hear the muffled honking of car horns, or envision the restless chatter of a place that never sleeps.

Moments like this come few and far between in your relationship, and for this night in particular, you’re extremely grateful to hold him within your arms — to feel the curve of his body, feel the warmth and weight of him as he relaxes against you, smell his usual shampoo he uses, listen to his voice that softly sings along to a random song on a playlist he turned on not too long before he came out here to accompany you, and you just allow all that is him to fill your senses.

He feels you slouch against him, tighten your hold, and he smiles to himself — his hands now rubbing up and down your thighs lazily, lightly — alternating between rubbing and drawing abstract images upon your skin that pop into his mind as he daydreams about you and his future with you.

When he stops singing, it takes you a minute to realize, having gotten lost in his touch that makes you sleepy, your eyelids on the verge of fluttering close, but you will them not too, wanting to prolong this bliss for just a bit more.

“What are you thinking about, lovey?”

The warmth of your breath that tickles the top of his head as you speak, is a sharp contrast with the rest of his chilled body that still remains half out of the water, and it makes him shiver.

“Mostly about you.”

You chuckle lightly, chest heaving that makes his head bounce a little against your chest.

“Mostly, huh? What else are you thinking about then?”

“Alright, you got me. Just about you. Now that you’re in my life, I can’t get you off my mind.”

You hum. The vibration flows through you, gently massaging the back of his neck. He gives your thighs a light tap, twisting in your grip to face you again. He nuzzles your collarbone, the neckline being too big means that it always falls down one shoulder, not that he’s complaining of course. The light smell of chlorine invades his nostrils, and his nose crinkles in disgust.

“You smell like chlorine now, I hate it.”

You snort, amused. Gripping the sides of his face with your hands, you pull him up to you and kiss the tip of his nose, and this time when it crinkles it’s cause he’s smiling so wide.

“Now, who’s fault is that? Cause I certainly didn’t plan to smell like chlorine now, did I?” You tease him, hands falling to caress either side of his neck and he smiles sheepishly at you, face guilty but not remorseful, judging by the laughter you can see dance inside his eyes.

“I know a way we can get rid of that problem.” His tone is light, airy, suggestive.

Your brows raise, head tilting to the side as you eye him with a wary look. His hands grip the edge of your wet shirt, tugging it up above your waistline, and his cool hands dip beneath the soaked material to meet your skin, floating up your sides, only stopping when his thumbs meet the bottom of your ribcage.

“Oh? How so?” Your voice is tight, strained — and you would be lying to yourself if you said that your mind didn’t immediately drop into the gutter of spicy imagery involving you both. Your breath hitches when his large hands make their way up, grabbing two handfuls of your clothed breasts, giving them a subtle squeeze. He leans up, hair tickling the side of your face, breath fanning over your ear as he whispers four words.

“Do you trust me?”

Not even a second later.

“Yes.” Your reply is broken, but it’s all he needs to hear, and then he does the unthinkable — pulls you into the water with him.

You don’t even have time to close your eyes, let alone hold your breath, before your head crashes underneath the water. The scent and taste of chlorine fills your nostrils uncomfortably, making you break the surface within seconds as you choke on the water that spills out of your mouth.

When your ears finally unplug, the first thing you hear is a gut bellowing laughter, and you spin to where Jungkook is clutching his middle. His eyes widen, but you’re too quick when you suddenly grasp his thick locks with two hands and shove his head back beneath the now rippling waves of pool water.

He thrashes, throwing himself up at you and grips you by the waist, tackling you backwards into the water. This time, you atleast have time to hold your breath, bubbles coming out of your nose before you once again rise to the surface.

Jungkook throws his hands up in surrender, chest heaving from exertion and adrenaline, much like yours. You stare at each other for a minute, trying to catch your breath. The corner of your lip quirks up, and that’s all it takes for a laugh to billow past his closed lips that fight off a smile — the action causing your own laugh to manifest until you’re both holding onto the sides of the pool as an anchor from laughing so hard, you’re both crying.

Once things calm down, he uses his bulked up muscles to heave himself back into a sitting position by the pool, extending his hand out to you to help you sit down beside him, now back in the same spot you were in before he pulled you in.

Sitting side by side, his hand holds yours that lays on your lap, feet kicking lightly back and forth, causing a rippling effect to disperse throughout the pool.

Turning your head to look at him, you have to catch your breath that gets caught in your throat at the sight before you — Jungkook leaning back on one hand, eyes cast outwards towards the city skyline — said skyline along with the night sky serve as the perfect backdrop to his already handsome figure.

Jungkook’s forehead crinkled in worry when you suddenly get up to your feet, and when he goes to follow you, a question hanging off his lips, you stop him with a hasty ‘stay there, don’t move!” He listens.

Hands fidgeting in his lap, he waits for you to come back. When the tall tale sign of your bunny slippers he got you for Valentine’s Day recently shuffle across the floor, his head swivels to look at you.

“Wait! I said don’t move! Go back to the pose you were just doing!” You wave your hands in front of you, angling your phone and squatting down to get the perfect shot of him when he follows your instructions to a T.

He hears your camera shutter click excessively for a few minutes, you making a sound of approval in the back of your throat.

“Perfect.” Your eyes are focused on the screen of your phone, and he swears he sees stars in your eyes that shine brighter than the ones out right now.

Drinking you in, his eyes soften, voice full of emotion and sincerity with his next words.

“Yeah, you are perfect.”

Your eyes flicker up to meet his, and you send him a cheeky wink, locking your phone and using it to gesture to the inside of the house. He sucks in a breath, pupils blown wide when he sees you grab the edge of your shirt and slowly pull it up and over your head, tossing it on the ground just outside the patio doors. One foot steps in, then half of you. Crooking your pointer finger, you beckon him over, voice sultry, yet demanding.

“Why don’t you show me how perfect you think I am?”

“Gladly.” His face darkens, full of lust and love.

And show you, he does.
