I know it's not how you rationalize it to yourself, but your posts about Israel/palestine come off as a support of the destruction of Gaza and ethnic cleansing of Palestinians. Insisting that it's a war (Palestine isn't allowed to have an army, and Israel cannot claim self-defence against a territory they occupy), denying that Israel is at fault, obscuring support of Palestine in general as being motivated by antisemitism - it paints a picture.
At least 30 000, probably closer to 100 000 Palestinians have been killed as of now. That is so monumentally worse than anything currently happening to Israel / zionists. So when you spend most of your energy focusing on those wrongs, or insisting that people talking about Palestine should focus on them, it comes off as brushing it off or trying to diminish its importance.
You don't have to answer, as I'll be blocking you, but I'm asking you to please consider what you're willing to support, excuse or tone down, and why. I know what it's like to be too focused on the discrimination we're facing to really take in what other groups might be going through.
hey anon, that's some great useful idiot syndrome you got there. how much college debt did you go into to earn it?

task: answer the following question. do you believe in curses? respond as completely with relevant information as possible.
Grian: Well, that's a lie. This isn't a task. I know it's not a task, I set the things up! Not sure why we're getting a question as pointless as this one, but sure, mysterious scroll, I'll answer. There's no such thing as curses, unless you're Timmy, in which case it's funny, yeah? Besides, I didn't actually kill Etho. Even if that did count, self-fulfilling prophecies aren't the same thing as curses, and I know which one I fall under.
Joel: Do I believe in bloody curses what kind of question is that? Do I really get hearts just for answering this? This feels like a prank or something... well, whatever. There are no such thing as curses, except the Boogeyman curse, which I sort of had today, but it wasn't actually the same at all. A lot of the bloodlust, sure, but a lot more... Etho had to be the one to do it, huh? And it's not the same. Not comforting. That's a stupid thing to say actually. Take it out of wherever you're putting this. Cut it out of the recording. Comforting. Please. As if it were ever... Yeah, I'm done actually. Don't have a good answer. Go away.
Scott: What, other than Jimmy? Bless that man, he may not have died first, but he sure tried his best. Sure, I'll believe Jimmy is cursed. I mean, mostly he's just kind of stupid. Lovingly so. I mean, despite him being stupid, I put up with him, right? That seems like a complete answer to this question. Jimmy's an omen but we put up with him anyway. That's all.
Mumbo: NO RESPONSE GIVEN.
Pearl: Oh, I mean, I'm probably cursed. That's what everyone liked to say at one point. I think... I mean, I think this time I have good friends, which is nice. They don't think I'm cursed. And it's not like I--I mean, it's surprisingly fun, acting cursed! And I am just acting. Acting scary, blowing up dance floors, all of that. And I don't really have to this time, so... Maybe I'm not cursed? And since it's acting, it's not real? This is a weird question.
Etho: Oh, man, that's a question. Um, do I have to answer? Because I feel like if I say no, that's really just asking for it, but if I say yes, I have to explain myself. Uh, I think I'm abstaining, unless the zombie thing from earlier counts. That was scary and I hated it. Curses are scary and I hate them in general, but apparently I'm good at them, if you ask everyone else. Um, it's not the only thing I find scary that apparently I'm good at.
Scar: Why, of course I believe in curses! Look at poor, poor... Timbert? Timmy? Jim? Gosh, sorry, I'm very tired right now. That's more proof of curses, by the way! That I'm tired. I've been tired straight since the desert, let me tell you what. And that, my friends, is a curse like no other. What a terrible beast, loneliness is. Wish me luck breaking it, because it's not happening this season!
Cleo: Oh, you mean the thing people like to blame instead of their own actions? Nah. My soulbond was kind of a curse, I guess, but even that's at least half just... bad people. Bad relationships. Good ones, too. We're all just doing what you can, you know? No script, no curses, no characters, just... Oh, I hope everything turns out tomorrow. Sorry, that's unrelated. It's just nicer to hope than to preemptively blame things on curses that don't exist.
Impulse: Well, I mean, I didn't until you just asked me that, but now I feel like I should. Wouldn't that be nice? Being cursed instead of just sort of unlovable? Sorry, no, that's mean to Gem. I shouldn't say that about Gem, she's been good this season. Super, super cursed, mind you, in the like, game mechanic sense? But she's been good, no backstabbing or inability to get love involved. Um, and I guess that's not fair to Bdubs, kind of, except it also totally is and I haven't forgiven him. So I guess if they ask I said I believed in curses, and that's why my life keeps circling clocks? Don't put any of that other stuff down, I'm trying to work on that.
Lizzie: NO RESPONSE GIVEN.
Gem: I was just cursed for a task, but that probably isn't what you're asking about, right? I'm new, so I don't know! A task is a concrete thing to believe in, like bloodshed or victory or fun and games. You don't have to believe in those to know they're real, either! They just are, whether you like it or not. I understand that much!
Tango: Gah, don't talk to me about... Deep breaths. Look, I don't care if it's a curse, or if it's just me being really bad, or what, I'm not going out pointlessly this time. Jimmy managed not to die first, I can manage to not go out to a stray arrow or my own bomb or a misstep this time, right? Is that so much to ask?
Skizz: Huh? Curses? I mean, I don't think so, and to be totally honest I think it's kind of mean the way people sometimes rag on people about them. Everyone's got so many good things about them! Why do people like to focus on the unfortunate luck, huh?
Bdubs: Hah! Curses! Let me tell you about curses. When I see curses, I eat them for breakfast. I don't got curses, I've got better things to do! I've got my buddies with the Mounders, and I've got-well, I'd say keeping Etho safe, but he's being weird at me again this season. Not that it matters. It never matters. Etho and I, we're... The point is, that doesn't matter anyway, because I have the Mounders, and they're the ones who matter here. And because I'm a strong, independent Bdubs, who doesn't need anyone but my bow and my perfect, flawless fighting prowess! Sorry, what was the question? I've been thinking so much lately that it's just sort of made everything else pop out of my head, so it's hard to keep track. I'm sure I answered it flawlessly, though.
Martyn: Of course there are curses. That's half the fun for you lot, isn't it? Putting your little curses on us and watching us rail against them. Bet you think it's real cute to ask us what we think of the things, too. "Oh, what do you think of curses," like we have any control over them. Please. If I had any control over curses, Jimmy--or, well, no, I guess that one was technically broken, wasn't it? Sure doesn't feel like it. Point is, curses are bad, and they're definitely real, and I hate you for them, got it?
BigB: Look, man, if you're trying to get me to write my character out for you, just say so! I won't tell anyone. We can come up with a hole thing about holes and red tasks and the Backrooms together! It'll be fun! After all, you probably don't know what kind of curse to say I have, right? Haha, just kidding. I have no idea what I'm talking about. Luckily, neither does anyone else, so I think that evens out between the lot of us.
Jimmy: NO RESPONSE GIVEN.

i saw this tweet and found it interesting for two reasons. one is that some people base how good cartoon network would be to toh by how it treated su, and despite the fact that su’s treatment by the network was considered poor at the time, now its thought to be exceptionally good in comparison to modern shows.
two is how exactly su got impacted by a limited budget. a common criticism is how characters like connie, peridot, and lapis are left out of missions. but balancing a lot of characters is not only hard but also costly (extra animation, extra voices—it’s been revealed that the show is limited to a set number of characters per episode otherwise they’re over budget). animation mistakes are not uncommon since retakes cost extra. the entire reason the original show got cut short was due to loss of funding!
#i don’t know if pay rates differ per networks#but a.ivi and s.urrashu have said that they needed to work outside of su in order to make sufficient funds#it only makes me wonder what other ways su suffered from a lower budget#that we as the audience never got to see#in the vein of the too-little characters complaint#another part of that is that low-stakes episodes should’ve been abt the main cast instead of the townies#like last one out of beach city and too short to ride vs restaurant wars and kiki’s pizza delivery service#i definitely see that especially since that isn’t budget related#nor would it seem to be network related (even if cn had an ‘episodic episodes’ quota it could still be abt the gems#(another side note: /would/ cn even have a requirement that the show make episodes that can be watched standalone?#this is a question for the people who were around when su was airing#what episodes often got rerun?#was it the townie eps or the lore eps?#for example i heard that su once did a ‘peridot event’ where they just reran peridot episodes#which had eps that skip around in the show#did they even care about airing the story so that it made sense anyways?#id get it if the low stakes townie episodes were the ones getting rerun))#but i have such a boring view on that which is i think it’s simply because the creators like townie eps#like in interviews r.ebecca s.ugar has said she’s the type to be really invested in background characters#answers in interviews have been crafted in ways to hide what’s really going on though tbf#prime example of this is rebecca and ian saying the wedding being interrupted was meant to follow the common trope#when later in the art book they said that it was bc cn rejected the ep bc it ‘wasn’t interesting enough’#both could simultaneously be true! it’s a psychology thing though where people make up nice-sounding explanations behind what they create#in retrospect because they want it to be thought out in such a nice way they believe in it#the bigger problem is that not matter how many episodes there are of them#it can be hard for ppl to be invested in the townies the same way they are invested in the main cast#i’m sure that a million writers have made surefire advice on how to get an audience to care about characters#but off the top of my head i think it’s because 1. most don’t have strong motivations to get truly invested in#(exception is ronaldo but people find him too annoying to care about him)#okay i had more points and explanations but i hit the tag limit and idk if anyone is actually reading this so bye

When you answered the ask asking about your art style (which is a post I keep looking back on bc what you have to say is very interesting) in one of your screenshots of you talking you mention something about how most if not all of your symbolism is self referent and I was wondering what you meant by that!
Tumblr media
Hellloooo. I’m glad you found my ranting interesting. Here is some Dirk art I’m probably never going to finish for your troubles.
What I meant by that when talking about any symbolism in my art is that it doesn’t reference outside sources - e.g. where some art might use something like religious concepts, animals, real life events to represent ideas, I tend to use things more like colors, contrasting objects, composition. That sort of thing. So things that are inherently a part of the work itself rather than connections to the real world. If I ever do use symbolism otherwise, it’s usually comic related even still. Although I have done pieces with religious symbolism before too, haha.
I don’t know how to describe it other than “self referential” because I’m not really sure what else to classify that sort of symbolism as. Just… artistic maybe? Non literal? I couldn’t say. I think it all basically just goes along with the majority of my art nowadays being more figurative than literal. Sorry if this doesn’t explain it very well. It’s also funny to think that anyone is “Looking back” on any of my texts posts though, haha. To me I feel like I am just dumping my words on my poor followers. Surprising. Thank you for reading.

What I wanna know is if people without kinks have the same amount of horny as me but just towards more normal things, or if I just have extra horny. Because like, I can be on my bed, not even feeling worked up at all, but think “eh I’d like to come rn” and find the first wav I come across and reach orgasm in like 2 minutes. Whereas if I wanna cum without snz stuff, I gotta kinda be in the mood, and really settle myself into a fantasy, or search and search for porn that actually does it for me - it’s a bit of a process.
So what I wanna know is like, is the latter just the normal vanilla experience of self pleasure? Or can vanillas just like look at people fucking and cum in 2 minutes the way I can listening to someone sneezing

Yeah, this is a really weird ask, but have you heard of the fanfic Ivy and Freckle in Watered Daisies and, if so, what's your opinion on it?
i’ve definitely heard of watered daisies, hard not to when the fandom ( particularly reddit ) is so ‘traumatized’ by the work. i even gave it a read if i remember correctly due to my own curiosity, that and the other fic where rocky saves them. so i’m acquainted with it somewhat! as for my opinions, i don’t think i have any worth noting? while the fic is dark, i genuinely don’t think it’s that bad for a character death fic … the actual scary parts, aka the drowning, are only present in the last two-ish paragraphs -- and those parts are written extraordinarily well! but it’s still brief, leaving me rather curious as to why the fandom views it as such a dark and awful fic, especially when they could’ve just not read it at all? i think some fans just have a tendency to overreact, honestly, or maybe they’re just little kids who shouldn’t be engaging with lackadaisy at all, much less be reading such a triggering work! either way, the whole ordeal around watered daisies is as interesting as it is baffling.
the fic itself is fine! i do applaud someone writing something so different and going against the mold even if there was a risk of upsetting fans. the concrete shoes are a swell idea for a death fic as well, and my favorite part was actually within the end note, where they paraded what happened to freckle and ivy as an unsolved mystery. there’s a lot of creativity in the writing itself, and it’s by far the best dark fic i’ve seen for lackadaisy … although that’s not saying much, since there isn’t a lot of that type of fic in the tag anyway. but as i said, my opinions on this piece aren’t vast or anything. while i like aspects of the work and admire the bravery to post it, i don’t exactly mull it over outside of a ‘the reaction to this one work is insane!’ sort of thought. and sure, i actively enjoy dark topics in fanfic, but character death is one of many subjects i usually avoid, tag wise! so i don’t reread fics like that often, much less go looking for them … so overall? it’s just not for me.

I love your Aegon Dreamer AU, funny version. The night Viserys dies, Aegon wakes up from a drunk stupor and is terrified and just takes Sunfyre and gets gone. No one knows where he is. What the heck do the Greens do?
this is actually the plot of my aligon au aksksjsjs
I go back and forth a lot on this tho, I think especially with Sunfyre missing they’re likely to just crown Aemond, with Aemond promising to marry his kids to Jaehaerys and Jaehaera. I think having a grown man in charge is considered better on the whole, and I also think the Greens would want to project Masculine Strength when faced with Rhaenyra’s counter claim, something crowning a near toddler (what is he like 6 when he dies?) might not do. But i do go back and forth on this a lot, because technically Jaehaerys IS next in line according to the Greens, then Maelor, THEN Aemond and I do wonder if Aemond doesn’t get talked into settling for like, Protector of the Realm or Regent like Rogar Baratheon was.
And with that change, I mean it’s just a cascade. Would Aemond even be the one to go to Storm’s End, if he’s King or Regent or would he send someone in his stead? If Luke death and B&C doesn’t happen right away, it makes the outset of the war set a different tone. Aegon really only gets angry and antsy after B&C but I think Aemond is much angrier and much more impulsive than the already very angry and impulsive Aegon. I think some sort of escalation is inevitable when the two sides come face to face for the first time, and double if the people who come face to face involve Aemond.
I do wonder if Daemon doesn’t maybe like…use the excuse of Rhaenyra’s miscarriage for his “son for a son” stuff ie “daughter for a daughter.” I think it’s a stretch to use the death of baby Visenya as a pretext for killing Jaehaera or even maiming her but idk, I also wouldn’t put it past Daemon to do something like that. Especially when, imo, Luke & Jaehaerys’ deaths are meant to show us that the situation has already escalated beyond control bc these people are too angry and paranoid and awful to reign in their worst impulses. It won’t be Luke & Jaehaerys, but it WILL be someone. The question is - if Rhaenyra can use Aegon disappearing to sow doubt about the Greens, and quickly take the crownlands, can she force the greens out faster? Yes she still has the Triarchy to contend with but if she takes the capital quicker, she’s in a better place to get rid of that threat and retake the Reach and Riverlands. On the other hand…does Aemond push for war FASTER than Aegon even outside a big blowup? If he’s more brutal, deals with them faster…does that stop everything in its tracks? He’s really at a disadvantage here when he’s lost a dragon and rider and losing Aegon also sets him back with allies - it just looks real fucking bad!

Tumblr media
𝐃𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐎𝐍 is very composed at the beginning, taking in the pretty sight of you on your knees for him. And he’s sure to tell you as much, too. Throughout the whole thing, he makes sure to offer you a lot of praise, gently encouraging you to go further, to take more of him.
He’ll hold your face with a delicate hand, trace a perfectly manicured finger over your cheek or down your throat or push the hair from your face, tangling his hand in it if your hair is long enough. It’s as if you two have all the time in the world, his patience seemingly endless as he savours this moment.
Though, of course, even Dantalion isn’t completely unaffected by this situation and he doesn’t pretend to be. His moans are as pretty as the sight of him leaning back on one hand as the other runs through his silky blond strands. Look up at him and appreciate the sight as he does his and feel him twitch in your mouth.
Where he cums really depends on the situation and how both of you are feeling. If he doesn’t want to ruin your clothes or make up (though taking him would probably ruin it anyway), he’ll gladly spill down your throat. Though as an artist, the idea of painting your face is definitely just as appealing to him.
Tumblr media
𝐕𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐅𝐀𝐑 is definitely a little mean to you. But you have to understand, he just gets off on seeing you struggle to take him as pearly tears decorate your water line. So cry a little more for him, won’t you?
His hand is roughly grabbing your hair (or your head) as filthy degradations fall from his lips. Though surely, tagging on a possessive ‘my’ to those stinging pet names will soothe your nerves a little.
He doesn’t mind the way your nails dig into his thighs as his hips thrust to your lips, in fact, the slight pain pulls a low groan from deep in his chest. If you’re comfortable with it, his hand might wander to lie around your neck like an exclusive piece of jewellery and he smirks at the way he can feel you gag around him. Seeing you take everything he gives you so readily sparks something in him.
There are few times when Val doesn’t want to cum right down your throat and he always does so with a slightly breathless groan, holding you still against him while you watch his abs flex with his high. After pulling out, his thumb collects everything you didn’t manage to swallow the first time around so you can correct that.
Tumblr media
Honestly, once you put your mouth on him, it becomes all too clear why so many people watch 𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐋𝐀𝐒’s stream solely for his voice. It’s like he was made to moan your name and his melodic voice dropping lower than usual is reason enough to have you squirming in your place.
This demon is very generous with his reactions in general. Be it encouraging you to hollow your cheeks more and taking him deeper by talking you through it or scraping his nails along your scalp to ground himself, he is letting you know you’re making him feel so good.
Not that it is hard to guess, with the way his hips grind on their own, accidentally making the tip of his cock hit the back of your throat (something he will apologise for later unless you already told him you liked/ didn’t mind it) or with the way his head is tipped back, lips parted to let more of those sinful noises through.
Stolas would love to either cum on your face or on your chest. There’s something about seeing you covered and marked by him that makes his brain bluescreen, no matter how messy it is to clean up. It’s easy to overstimulate him like this, so more often than not he will pin you down and return the favour so you don’t get any funny ideas.

no major fic updates just yet guys TAKE MY WOY OC I MADE LIKE. April of last year IM PLUGGING SOME INFO ABOUT THIS GUY IN THE TAGS.
I may also redesign her soon or something. Make her more bug-like with some stuff. I can cook guys let me cook !!!
#THIS IS VAL !!!! dubbed her as a he/she er..#I have lore about this guy and his homeplanet Amore and the Lovebugs..#all that’s really important to know is that ive based the worldbuilding for Amore around svtfoe’s mewni#design wise mostly. I’ll emphasize.#in terms of the societal parts of Amore the kingdom kinda flourishes in the arts of all sorts and trade within the kingdom it goes crazay…#they were pretty closed off from the rest of the galaxy though. like their tech and stuff is pretty outdated compared to most of the other-#planets with atleast escape ships and all that fun stuff.#foreshadowing#ANYHOW lovebugs are silly guys I think of them as like weird hedonistic freaks of sorts#they have very big dionysus worshipping energy to them just to give a perspective#and of course they prioritized relationships and the different forms of love#romance actually wasn’t even the big thing that built the kingdom#it was more like a love for community and friends#which is also kinda silly because of the monarchy aspect to Amore and all that#OH ALSO these guys go absolutely crazy with fashion and makeup. gender isn’t a major thing in the kingdom in my eyes#you WILL serve cunt!! /silly#WORLDBUILDING ASIDEEE Val was the prince to the kingdom and was set to be the heir to the throne#the designs are like three different route ideas ive had for Val#the first is just a baseline design so like. pre amore‘s destruction from dominator#the second is like a good ending design of sorts to my ideal lineup for a season three for woy with val continuing to embrace the lovebugs-#history and culture even with Amore gone and a good portion of her people#and the third. is a bit hard to describe because it’s more of an au but it’s just a concept idea I had of Val teaming up with Dom#(it would be short lived like probably a few months max so dw)#and silly note i joked about the idea of val being an ex to peepers BUT I WANNA DEVELOP THAT MORE BEFORE I SHARE.#tap into that this may be cringe but i am free mindset or something slash silly TEEHEE#BUT YEAH Val’s just a silly gal in my heart and soul no matter what. ive missed her a lot i wanna work on fics with him and especially to-#develop more stuff for Amore and the Lovebugs before Dominator’s destruction of the planet#BUT YEAH i wanna Val post more. go into depth for their dynamic with the other characters and all that#I may cook some more stuff with him once I get these stargazing fics all set and whatnot SO WE’LL SEE!#also /nf but if anyone would wanna ask questions about val/amore/lovebugs ask away I’d love to answer any questions! 🥺

begging twitter to stop showing me tweets of people with no reading comprehension misrepresenting things I said but since i was going to make this more in-depth post Anyway .
when i say imogen is better read as a metaphor for generational trauma than she is a metaphor for queerness or chronic pain, i’m not talking about legitimate traits she has as a character. obviously she is queer. obviously she experiences some form of chronic pain (though i would argue her magic better suits chronic illness not pain because she states that it’s Not always painful, but it does always influence how she lives her life).
when i talk about how well she’s understood as a metaphor, i’m talking about when i’m looking at her as a part of a story, as an arc that i am witnessing rather than in the more typical fandom way of this is a fictional person who interacts with exandria as real people do. and that is a fun way to interact with characters, i enjoy it a lot! but when i say imogen (to me, as i for some reason have to clarify on my own blog which implies that these are my own opinions and not absolute fact that needs to be accepted by people on the internet with different experience and opinions than me) is best read as a metaphor for generational trauma, it isn’t a dismissal of her queerness or her illness, it’s just me thinking looking at her from that angle is more compelling.
imogen has been one of my favourite characters and least favourite characters in campaign 3 because i tend to analyse her through a lens of generational trauma and she ends up looking extremely familiar to me as someone with a family that carries their’s heavily which is as comforting as it is frustrating.
for me the main thing that looking at imogen through a queer lens of literary analysis fails to account for is harm. on the one hand - the harm that imogen experiences, not because of how people treat her for who she is, but that exists simply as a factor of her being ruidusborn. on the other hand a the harm that imogen causes. not to say that she is some malicious villain waiting for her chance to harm others, but that there are things about being ruidusborn that very much do incline her towards violence in a way that she might not otherwise be - i think about the conversation after she went nuclear and chet brought up people being scared of her connecting that to her father keeping distance. the only harm that queerness provides comes from society, and that isn’t the case in exandria. even metaphorically, the thing that society fears in ruidusborn people (while it has certainly been exacerbated by centuries of superstition and practices like we saw in zephrah) is a tangible threat. imogen’s magic when not controlled can wipe out a city block, but queerness poses no threat.
that’s why i’m not compelled by imogen’s backstory as a queer metaphor. not because i’m some imodna anti (i very emphatically am not but this fandom kinda makes me wish i was sometimes) or because i think exandria’s lack of homophobia/transphobia means that characters can’t be viewed through a queer lens or that critical role doesn’t contain some of the most compelling queer metaphor i’ve encountered. imogen just isn’t one of those characters, not because she isn’t queer, or because i think her story shouldn’t resonate with queer people, just because i find the generational trauma angle more consistent.
it’s similar with the chronic illness angle, which i will refer to as illness but you’re welcome to emphasise pain, we all have different vocabularies for the experiences we face. but just to give context i’m running off laura’s comparison of imogen’s powers to her own sensory issues and anxiety which while often Lead to pain, fall more into chronic illness in imogen’s context to me. and i do think there’s substantial comparison for imogen’s story as a metaphor for chronic illness, but i think that was much more true earlier in the campaign than it is looking at her from the current context. her beginning motivation being her search for knowledge about her powers really resonated with me as similar to someone experiencing symptoms of chronic illness but who could neither figure out how to treat them or what they were caused by.
but then imogen got more information, specifically about her mother, and her priority became not understanding her powers but understanding her current state as a person - how had she become the person she is, inclusive of her powers but very much emphasising her lack of a mother who became more and more present in the unweaving web of ruidusborn lore. that’s when i was less compelled by the chronic illness reading and more compelled by viewing her as a metaphor for generational trauma. had that not been enough on its own, imogen’s visit to relvin and her recent thoughts on her mother would be enough to convince me.
the part that makes me hesitant about this post is that generational trauma is so intensely linked to the contexts under which it is created and perpetuated. so i can’t really point to specific scenes as evidence of specific things that prove generational trauma is the most compelling and i don’t really want to unload that much of my own experience to clarify my thoughts on a character. but vaguely, i will say that imogen’s relationship with her parents is obviously the clearest source for my reading her as a metaphor for generational trauma. the fact that relvin, the only person in her family without the thing that draws society’s ire, is also the person that she has the most willing anger at is also indicative of this to me. in general, imogen’s rage that so easily transitions into sadness and vice versa comes out a lot in conversations about parents. most recently, i think about ashton’s lovely speech about found family and his distrust about parents and how as they were speaking, laura seemed to be playing imogen as sadly in thought versus months ago when fearnes parents showed up with striking similarities to liliana and imogen’s words of wisdom were let’s hurt them all.
and like. to me that angersadnessvengeancegrief is particularly evocative of the feelings that arise when you are in a family with generational trauma, especially when you are aware of it. because imogen can and has followed the logical steps that have led her and her family to where they are. early on when recounting her relationship with her dad she seemed wistful but understanding of the distance between them. in nearly every encountered with a parental figure imogen seems to be some level of distrusting for the most part, but she’s still holding out hope that her mother will see the good side. and further, there’s the complication of how dire her losing her powers seems to be, and how inextricable her powers are from every aspect of her life. she’s also southern and from a blue collar family. this means nothing except it also means a whole lot.
this is messy and not well organised but if you want a good essay you’re gonna have to pay me money for it but tldr: i say things i believe on my This Is My Opinion Blog and i don’t think i need to explain my thoughts to strangers on the internet but this was already half written in my drafts and if people are gonna shit on my opinions please at least do it in good faith and shit on my actual opinions not the ones you’ve decided i have.

I'd love to see the first time Time met Wars in in the IAU?
I’m actually working on writing that out eventually! It’s not done but I can give you a wip for now.
Also fair warning, it’s... gonna be angsty when it’s finished. Just heads up. It’s... already pretty angsty. Sorry in advance.
Link suddenly caught movement out of the corner of his eye, glancing over at the child his mother had been protecting. He’d nearly forgotten he was there with how quiet he was being.
The boy was small, probably only three or four years old, with blond hair similar in color to Link’s. His scared eyes met Link’s from where he was huddled at his mother’s shoulder in a scarf too big for him, and Link felt his stomach sink at their color, only a few shades off from his own.
“...The boy?” he asked his mother, already knowing the answer.
“Your.... brother, his name... name is Link,” she breathed, her hand still cupping his cheek. “So that h-he would... find you...” Her breath stuttered, and Link held his hands more firmly over her injury, despite knowing the gesture was in vain.
“Take care of him,” his mother whispered. “Please, Link.”
Link closed his eyes, then reopened them as he put a hand over his mother’s trembling one. “I will. You have my word.”
She gave him a smile, and faint as it was, Link abruptly felt a deep longing rise up in him, one that made his eyes sting. Suddenly he had the urge to beg his mother to stay with him, to fight harder, not succumb to the injuries so he could properly talk to her, know her, maybe even love her.
But he knew it was too late.

i remember it used to be a bit of a fandom pet peeve of mine that some people would forget that the gung ho guns and eye of michael were two separate groups with some membership overlap but then stampede came along and made the eom into a project of conrad’s backed by knives. another example of how the reboot feels like bad fanfiction.
