Hello hi Inny I am SO SO SORRY I swear I have been staring at this for the whole month it's been in my inbox and just haven't had the spoons to writeeeee!! But here you goooo, hope you enjoy and it makes up for how long it took!!!

Willie likes nicknames, okay? Sue him, they're cute little things to call the people he cares about! And if it happens to startle fun reactions out of them, all the better! They have a whole list they cycle through of silly things to call their boyfriend, and the way he blushes when they call him Hotdog or Drummer Boy never fails to make Willie's heart skip a beat or two.

So yeah, Willie likes nicknames. However, even though Alex enjoys being called by nicknames (at least by Willie), he's not usually one to use them. Until now apparently.

"I got your favorite, Pumpkin," Alex says as Willie wanders out of his bedroom at nearly 11 am.

"You're the best," Willie mumbles, taking the paper cup from him and relaxing into his arms. "Did you already have work this morning?"

"Yeah, I had to open," Alex explains, pulling Willie up against his chest. "I didn't want to wake you."

"Thank you," Willie responds, turning their head to kiss the side of Alex's neck without dislodging their place on his shoulder. "Late shifts are going to kill me."

"Please don't die," Alex murmurs, nuzzling his hair. "I'd miss you too much."

Willie chuckles. "I'll try."

He finally takes a sip of the coffee Alex brought home for him and sighs happily at the warm, chocolatey flavor of the mocha. As his brain wakes up though, he realizes something important about what Alex said earlier.

"Wait, this isn't pumpkin," he says, glancing up at his boyfriend in confusion.

Alex's brow furrows. "No?" he agrees, though it sounds more like a question. "You don't like pumpkin in your coffee?"

"Well yeah, but you said you got my favorite, pumpkin," Willie clarifies, rubbing a hand over his eyes to clear away the sleepiness.

"Oh," Alex says then, and a familiar blush starts to spread over his cheeks. "Sorry, no, I was trying to call you Pumpkin, not talk about the coffee flavor. Cause-" Alex cuts himself off to wave a hand down at Willie's body.

Willie looks down, confused, before realizing the shorts they'd slept in were bright orange. They stare for a second, then burst out laughing. "I didn't even notice," they admit.

Alex smirks and pulls them in closer. "I figured, since those aren't even yours I don't think."

"Since when do you have shorts like this?" Willie asks, still giggling.

"Since Reggie got them for me as a gag gift in August," Alex explains. "They look way better on you though."

"You called me a pumpkin," Willie points out.

"A really cute pumpkin," Alex counters.

Willie raises an eyebrow and takes a long, slow sip of his coffee.

"Well fine, should I call you something else then?" Alex offers.

Willie bites their lip to keep from smiling too much. "Well what did you have in mind?"

"Wouldn't you like to know, Sanderson," Alex teases, backing up and releasing Willie.

"Oooo, which sister am I?" Willie retorts, setting down their drink and following Alex into the kitchen.

"Oh, Sarah, definitely," Alex declares. "You've got the great hair and everything."

"So I'm the pretty one then?" Willie says, making a show of tossing said hair. It's definitely still a mess from him not tying it up before bed, but oh well.

"You are and you know it," Alex responds, smirking and leaning over to peck him on the cheek.

Willie tries to chase him for a proper kiss, but Alex turns around to face the stove. "Hey!" Willie protests.

"Sorry, I gotta make brunch, Maizy," Alex says, not sounding all that sorry.

"Okay, I'll bite, 'Maizy?'" Willie asks, moving over to cuddle up against Alex's warm back.

"Julie was going on a whole tipsy rant last week about how corn in Spanish is Maize, and so a corn maze is actually a Maize maze," Alex explains. He nudges Willie's arm aside just enough for him to reach the fridge and pull out an egg carton. "Plus, you're both corny and a-maze-ing, so it seemed fitting."

Willie can't help but giggle at the story. "Wow, so I'm pretty and corny and orange, good to know," they joke.

"Well the orange is temporary," Alex points out as he cracks a couple of eggs into a shallow bowl and whisks them around with a fork. "I suppose calling you Hot Chocolate would be more permanently accurate."

"Wowwww, comparing my physical appearance to food? Very progressive of you," Willie teases, knowing full well that's not what Alex meant.

"Hush you," Alex laughs, reaching around to poke Willie gently in the side with his free hand. "1, you're hot. 2, you're like the sweetest person I've ever known. 3, you drink so much cocoa in the winter that I swear you have a second stomach just for the stuff. And 4, it is not my fault that that paint chip EXACTLY matched your hair color."

"Hey don't you start on my beverage choices," Willie retorts, grinning and hooking his chin over Alex's shoulder to watch him throw the first piece of egg/milk soaked bread onto the frying pan. "You drink just as much tea as I do cocoa."

"It wasn't a critique, just a comment," Alex says, smiling like he's trying not to laugh. "Although I'm gonna run out of nicknames if you keep shooting them down this fast."

And somehow that's the thing that catches Willie off guard. Because Alex doesn't really call people nicknames. Let alone spend time thinking about various options.

Alex must feel Willie stiffen against his back, because he turns so he can wrap an arm around Willie's waist. "Sorry, I didn't mean to overstep," he says softly. "You just... you always have a ton of them for me, and I like it and you like it, so I wanted to return the favor. Or something. I don't know. Random thought while I was waiting up for you last night."

Willie quickly shakes their head. "No I don't mind," they say, catching Alex's gaze and smiling. "It just kinda surprised me I guess."

"So-" Alex starts, but Willie slaps a hand over his mouth before he can finish.

"You don't get to apologize for being the cutest and sweetest boyfriend ever," Willie informs him, before shifting his hand over to cup Alex's jaw and pushing up on his tiptoes to finally capture his lips with their own.

Alex chuckles against their mouth and pulls them closer, returning the kiss happily. They keep it short, since there's still food on the stove, but Willie stays glued to Alex's side while he finishes cooking.

Once everything is turned off and they're both settled at the table with their plates of french toast, Willie asks, "So do I get to see the whole list now?"

Alex groans, hiding his face in his hands. Willie suspects it's to conceal his smile. "You'll get the rest of them eventually," Alex promises. "Probably."

"I'm going to hold you to that, Applejack," Willie laughs.

Alex using nicknames is new. But Willie could definitely get used to it.

eating this tf up omg. the "knowing better" portion makes my heart hurt because it's true, Don uses people with such little consideration ..; but this time its so different bcuz he feels that unusual sense of guilt both as he begins manipulating Bull, and by the end where Bull wakss up and starts strangling him .. he knows better deep down that what he does is wrong yet he continues that behavior

the "twisted pleasure" reminds me of how Don does seem to still get a small kick from how easily malleable everybody becomes beneath his manipulation, but also i think it could apply to Bull (and other victims) feeling that odd sensation of warmth and safety when they begin falling under the manipulation ...

"feeling breathless" omg .. okay i like this both ways . Don feeling breathless from being choked and his breathing becoming shallow is the more literal sense that this can be taken in, but also i like the idea of Bull "feeling breathless" when he's under this spell of sorts. maybe it's a personal thing but when i get overstimulated or im in a tight situation i feel unable to breathe as well; in the state of the maze, Bull is described to cover his ears and hear Don's voice as an overbearing kind of noise. i think that state of panic and overstimulation could leave him with a lack of breath, from both too much going on and the anticipation of escaping that state so he could re-enter the real world

and finally, the "growing cold, will you let me go?" ;; again, i think it can be taken very literally with Don pleading for Bull to understand that he didn't mean what he did, and how he begins to almost lose his grip on consciousness as the strangulation lasts longer .. but also i think it can be taken in the context of their feelings. any remaining warmth or forgiveness Bull could have held for Don has now faded into nothing, warmth going cold. and the "will you let me go?" in a questioning tone could be from Don's perspective, questioning two things; will Bull not turn back and save him from his vulnerable state ? and will Bull ever find it in himself to forgive Don for his actions, therefore "letting go" of the hate he has for him?

Our Song - JILY - something about this song screams jily to me and idk what. 'mama I didn't kiss her and I should've.' - James complaining to Sirius that he didn't kiss her and sirius being sympathetic and shit but also making fun of him is so so themmmm. 12.
