jurassic park 3 is a comedy.
ive taken my time to rewatch to jurassic park 3 to prove why this movie is a comedy - it is - here is why;
- alan just trying to talk to the fucking bird?? "can you say alan? alan?"
- alan having to say no jurassic park questions and then "or on the other island... which i was not a part of" and watching the hands drop each time.
- THE FUCKING RAPTOR GOING "alan. alan!" TO WAKE HIM UP
- the shitty fade to black when alan blacks out. there's something so funny about it.
- the spino. just the spino - everything about it, it's too funny.
- paul kirby coming out of the plane yelling "AMANDA", seeing the spino, and IMMEDIATELY running back into the plane.
- "nobody move a muscle." says alan. spino roars, everyone but alan BOOKS IT. he's just left there, standing.
- amanda calling udesky and he's just fucking dead.
- "you don't wanna know." from eric about the t. rex pee.
- when the spino is just standing there, with the phone going off inside it. and the horror music over top. it stands there. MENACINGLY.
- bird cage falling onto the pterosaur and drowning it lol (i thought this was quite funny).
- THE SLOW FUCKING TURN OF THE PTEROSAUR'S HEAD TO ALAN AND EVERYONE
- the ceratosaur?? it's just funny. something about it.
overall, jurassic park 3's genre should be changed to a comedy film.

Now that everyone on here is talking about the minecraft movie I'm going to throw in my two cents. I think that the minecraft movie should be about a dad who knows nothing about minecraft and his gamer child getting isekai'd into minecraft by, like, a wizard or a curse or something. Freaky Friday style. They have to work together and defeat the ender dragon to get out. The dad doesn't really understand the child or their hobbies, and every time he tries to get into minecraft on his own (on the kid's computer) he doesn't really like it or get it. But by throwing them into a minecraft world and forcing them to play in a sandbox, they both realize that it's really fun to play video games (like minecraft) with the people they love. Also this wouldn't work if it took place with hardcore world rules. It could be animated and both of them could have steve's character model but the kid has a propeller hat on theirs.

oooooo white people in my replies really saying ‘I can excuse racism but I draw the line at homophobia’
Not surprised since this is the site that only talks about racism and thinks it’s a big deal when they see it demonstrated in the cartoons and comics they like *coughs* dungeonmeshi *coughs* (for example at least. I haven’t seen THIS many white ppl talk as in depth about racism on here as much as these fandom nerds, man. I stg. Like “Ohhhh, so you all DO acknowledge that racism is real? Just not in real life even if you could feel it slapping you in the face at high speed. Gotcha.” It’s crazy.
Tumblr is like, 90% white and is extremely centered around them. That’s why you barely see stuff that’s important to black and brown people ever trending here or being talked about. It has to be something incredibly huge to the point where even white people can’t ignore it like they usually do, to talk about it here.
They only talked about George Floyd here because the topic of his death became world news. Even people in other countries were talking about it. Before him, it was probably Ferguson and Trayvon Martin… most of them are still trying their best to ignore the genocides because it’s a “touchy subject.” What do you expect from white people who live in their own bubbles of comfort and refuse to pop it with a needle??? They find comfort in their privilege and faux ignorance (they love playing stupid to avoid conversations about important things outside of fandoms like, are these mfs born with half a brain dedicated to fandom or what.) That’s literally all these mfs make a big deal out of, especially on this annoying ass platform. The ao3 mfs will go to war for the site that allows racist ff and cp like it’s no big deal. I wonder how many people here even donated to the site while actively scrolling past dono posts from folks who really do need help. They act like they’re doing a civil service by defending this site that makes over the amount of it’s intended dono goal in minutes.
Then you already know as soon as you even bring up racism in the stuff they like, they start ganging up and harassing black bloggers especially, calling them TERFs and the whole nine. Anything to make that person look bad for being concerned about the racism that they have such an intense aversion to. God, it’s absolutely exhausting knowing that these people would have no problem choosing a cartoon character over your entire existence if they COULD. Isn’t that fucking sad, man?

netflix's avatar really encapsulates everything about the live-action remake trend that has been going on for years. it has nothing new to say, nothing to add in relation to the original work, so it tries to mask that emptiness with an attempt to correct perceived 'mistakes' made by the original work in order to validate its own existence -- except these 'mistakes' are often just character flaws that were intentionally put on the show in order to be explored and generate conflict (the most obvious example of this being the removal of sokka starting the series with sexist beliefs he's forced to confront, and that being replaced with a whole bunch of nothing).
but since correcting mistakes is the only real guide they have when adapting the story, it results in something even worse, which is a fear of making the good guys appear morally questionable in any way. so even other traits that cannot really be described as straight up character flaws (the way sokka's misogyny is) but that may make the character appear unsympathetic to the audience get sanded down. aang is in a serious quest that may cost the lives of thousands of people depending on how it goes, so the audience might find it inappropriate if he seems too goofy and carefree, right? it might seem like he doesn't care, so let's tone that down. katara might come across as bossy and annoying to some people if she expresses worry and jealousy over how fast aang learns waterbending, so let's just remove that plot point entirely since we want the audience to like her. etc etc, so on and so forth, until we have two cardboard cutouts where the original characters should be.
