Hero's jaw dropped, "It was you? All along?"

"Surprised?"

"Obviously! I told yo— I told Author Name my fan theories! My OTPs, my NOTPs!" They couldn't believe it. They were talking to their favorite author all along? They gasped! "I told you about my AUs and fanfics and fanart!"

"And as fun and validating all of that was, I also found your fandom blog by the way," Hero visibly paled, "and I loved reading every single one of your fanfics, not to mention your insightful analyses and theories. I also adore the incorrect quotes you make, very in-character. And since we're airing out dirty laundry, then, to be entirely honest, the only reason your OTP is canon right now is because I wanted to see if you'd be distracted enough at our next fight. And you were!"

"But- but- they were endgame from the start!"

"Nope! I never intended that! They were supposed to be friends, nothing more."

"But all the clues! The foreshadowing!"

"All in that shipper brain of yours, Hero. But I will be taking the credit, of course. And for all the theories and ideas I had thought up all along and you were just 'right' about."

"I'll pummel you!"

"Not if you want your OTP alive, dearie."

"But-"

"Sorry, Hero. But here," they took out a thick hardcover from their duffel bag, "Here's the next book. Hasn't hit the shelves yet."

The crime-fighter reached for the book, a mix of suspicion and giddiness. It was weird. Their favorite author was their nemesis? What's next? Their online friend is Supervillain? Well, they do both like the color blue... Hmmm...

"Earth to Hero?"

"Huh? Yeah, yeah." They took the book.

"Open it. To the dedication."

Hero did. It said,

To my favorite fan. You're my hero.

And it was signed by the author.

When Hero looked up, Villain was gone. And so was the priceless antique typewriter. Stolen from right under Hero's nose. Just like their heart.

Hellowwww, I was re-reading some of your old posts to stave of the boredom and I realised you had an OC: Meghan, a descendant of Gravity, that I completely forgot about shjdjdjsksksksks. So any fun facts about her? Is Meghan going to get focus, even if it's just one chapter, or is she only going to be mentioned? Also did she and Kai date or is is just pining for one another? Also, sidenote, I reread the part where Kai threw himself off the boat and soooo many emotions hbndsjknnsddjsds why are you such a good writer, getting emotions from me hekddskds anyway happy Friday :D

So any fun facts about her?: She really only exists because I thought it was silly that the blonde cheerleader (Maggie) had a name but the brunette didn't, so I gave her one and then she grew a personality, as you do. She likes pumpkin spice lattes, is an incredible gymnast (hence the seriousness about cheerleading), and dreams of pursuing an acting career! And being a Descendant of Gravity gives her an affinity that both makes her "attractive" as a person, and also better at controlling her movements while weightless (again, that's the gymnast thing. But imagine being an actress that can do your own stunts *-*)9 )

Is Meghan going to get focus, even if it's just one chapter, or is she only going to be mentioned?: I don't really have plans to put any huge focus on her (certainly not to the extent of Jesse and Olivia, and probably not even as much as Miranda, Harleigh, and Sunni), but she does comes in handy as a supportive character when needed! ....honestly, she's probably going to have a bigger role in the Royal!Legacy au than she does the main story if we're being truthful fghfdggdsd (there's still plenty of time to cook something up though)

Also did she and Kai date or is is just pining for one another? They dated 😏😏😏😏😏😏 not for very long nor very seriously, but they did have a thing! (Firefallshipping, if you want a name~) Nowadays they are still friends, though the Chad thing does keep kind of getting in the way... (but she also teases Kai relentlessly and jokingly makes a big deal about being his ex once Skylor comes into the picture skhgdjgskdjskak)

🥺 Is there a certain type of moment or common interaction between your characters that never fails to put you in your feels?

Well it uh heavily depends on the interaction and how close these characters are tbh but oh my god just,, the soft moments when Character A is just relaxing with Character B and like they trust each other with their life- I LOVE getting to write shit like that immensely so (my trust sadly got broke a long time ago lmao) but I love such trusting moments when it comes to exchanges with any characters I write, I love writing characters who trust one another so much, its very intimate to me

Lmao there’s been so many of these but three recent fics I’ll pick from random- one (it wont get posted for reasons but still) its a fic where uh my yugioh oc Patrick... Let’s just say a certain evil spirit bastard traumatized him at first BUT NOW he just saved his ass from someone probs killing him and is carrying him home bridal style bc hes uh injured bad and Pat is questioning everything, hes like that math meme

2: Being Kane scaring the everloving shit out of Daniel in the horror movies fic and Daniel getting so angy gfjkdlfjgdsld it was really fun to write bc I had it planned from the get go

and 3: In JLOT just, Virgil pretending he doesnt love the fucking daycare attendant is the biggest damn joke in that series,, at first hes like their ROBOTS lmao i dont love them that’d be weird but hes already drawn hearts on a pic of Sun he drew, it is very fun to write this out and it made me laugh to write him in a panicked hurry to scribble the hearts into stars

an honorable mention would be in IWTDFD Chapter 2 where Y/N freaks the fuck out on Hunter n Steph

LMAO- the superior question, for a joke answer- I fucking fight for my life in my google docs every single time I open them, im fighting so hard and about to get my ass sent to the shadow realm of writers every day, every day i wake up i fight my wips and brain in a 2 on 1 handicap match- ...for a serious answer it HEAVILY depends on the story, for examples

something like JLOT is being outlined with every chapter, I’ve been outlining it from day one whereas something like the Team Hell No horror movie night story is just on the fly by the seat of my pants, some stories are outlined, others are not

This one I can answer VERY fucking easily,, in my G/T content you can ALL tell I am a sucker for the borrower/tiny in the giants hands, I am a SUCKER for them trusting the giant to be gentle and careful with them as they carry them from place to place and or even to just HOLD them there, I’m a sucker for hands stuff (dont take that out of context I am begging you-) when it comes to G/T, I very much love just this tiny fuckin creature having s o much trust and faith in a MUCH larger and terrifying being who could EASILY hurt or kill em in a second

I like to write trust getting broken VERY much so as well FJKDLKFJGDS- I love trust just in its intimate state but its very satisfying to watch trust get broken,, some other things that often tend to appear is angst,, just angst- even in the fluff stories- lmao I am the epitome of aw dont be scared ...bE TERRIFIED MWAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Hmmm I'd say it's a tie between Uzui and Gyataro. They were both very dynamic and fun characters to have on screen. I think Gyutaro wins by a slim margin cuz I really enjoyed Brandon McInnis' performance

not that there's many to choose from but I did like Daki, both her design and the threat she posed (before she got nerfed cuz her brother showed up *rolls eyes*)

The Force is just as surprised as they are.

So when a flash of orange darts around the corner accompanied by two white blurs, Anakin and Obi-Wan don’t even get the chance to blink in appropriate surprise before they’re on the ground. A knock to Obi-Wan’s head and in the delay, his wrists are bound with Force suppressors. He half crumples when they make the fatal click, strength, peace, power smothered under frigid metal.

Ahsoka almost feels bad.

Almost.

The real pain comes after weeks in those horrible cuffs, the hole in your head, in the air, where your whole life used to reside growing sharper, hungrier, darker. But Obi-Wan will understand that soon enough. Just like she had.

“Ahsoka?”

It’s Anakin—isn’t it always?—and his voice is dripping with shock. One of the guards Ahsoka had taken with her on this little hunt, Cross, has Anakin’s arms wrenched behind his back, but the Force suppressors still dangle from his belt. Ahsoka is banking on Anakin’s confusion, his attachment, to keep him weak. She can’t take that same chance with Obi-Wan.

“Ahsoka you—you’re here.” His eyes are wide like a child’s, and Ahsoka can practically see all the things he wants to say crowding behind his tongue. “What’s going on? Are—are you alright?”

It’s been months since she’s seen either of them and when she’d trudged down the steps of the Temple this was certainly not how she’d expected their reunion to go. A small part of Ahsoka, the part that’s still the other one, grips her ribs and screams to be let out. To reach out to her Master, her brother, to slip back into the spot between him and Obi-Wan where she’d fit so well for years. Her throat grows tight. Ahsoka despises her. And so she leans harder on the Force like she’s been taught and hopes the voice—voices—will die out in agony. Starting with his.

“Ahsoka?”

Obi-Wan hasn’t spoken yet. Silence is a weapon too and Ahsoka doesn’t appreciate such chilling indifference. She remembers why she’s here. Not to talk or back down or weep. She’s here to kill.

She takes a soft step forward and almost like he knows what’s coming, Anakin starts struggling against the guard, trying to push himself to his feet, words tumbling out of his mouth. “Ahsoka, wait, wait, wait, what’s—what’s going on?” Thunder cracks low in the sky and it’s only then that Ahsoka notices the enormous hole blown out of the Temple hallway. Smoke blackens the night sky and shrieking sirens collide with the screaming Force. “Ahsoka?”

She can tell he’s trying to ignore the flashing gold of her eyes, but he can’t look past the blood-red beam of light that ignites from her saber. Ahsoka has never seen him more in denial, more heartbroken than he is kneeling before her now. Her ever-sure steps stutter and to compensate, she digs down into her rage. Anger keeps her strong, keeps her fighting, it shields her from the weakness that love or pity or regret will sink her to.

“Ahsoka, stop!” Her hand is already shaking on her lightsaber hilt. Ahsoka strikes Anakin across the face, her metal-laden fist cutting a line of blood down his cheek. She’s never preferred such hands-on combat, two lightsabers and her agility give the distance and speed she needs to fight, but rage—and it’s rage, she tells herself, not sorrow, not grief, not guilt—is weighing her down.

That’s fine. Power can be a million things and so can Ahsoka.

The need to adapt has been forced on her by the very people Anakin and Obi-Wan are trying to protect, and it’s always good to give back.

She realizes she’s still hitting him. Anakin’s face is awash in blood—Ahsoka doesn’t know what’s his and what’s from her own knuckles. She looks at the guard and he releases him. Anakin stumbles back and up, heads outstretched in front of him. He wipes his face, clearing as much of the blood as he can and his lightsaber is ignited a shaky breath later. Obi-Wan might be saying something at last, but it’s lost as Ahsoka bounds toward Anakin. She lets instinct and primal, brutal fury take over. Their sabers clash.

Later, when Ahsoka has cried and screamed and torn apart her new quarters on Coruscant, she won’t remember what happened. All of a sudden, she’s towering over Anakin, both their lightsabers gone. She’s mildly surprised when she realizes she was actually able to best him, then scolds herself for not having faith in her new teachings. A swift kick to Anakin’s ribs leaves him gasping, and Obi-Wan is definitely saying something, but Ahsoka knows she’s far from vindicated.

“Ahsoka, stop,” comes Anakin’s voice, strong as it is quiet. “Please. Listen.” His eyes are bright blue through the bruises, the blood, and Ahsoka has always folded first. She squeezes her eyes shut and stumbles away, tearing apart whatever vile emotions swarm her.

The Force is dark and stormy around her, suffocating, but powerful. It blocks out the pain, the grief, the failure Ahsoka feels, and she clings to it.

Anakin is standing, one hand clutching his ribs, when she looks up again. His hands are reaching for her. “I don’t know what happened, but whatever it is, we will fix it.”

Furious tears race down her face. “You can’t stop this!”

Ahsoka wants to scream. She wants to scream because this is hard, far harder than she’d expected. The Jedi are wrong, the Jedi are evil, she’s had more than enough experience to understand that. How many times has she heard their immeasurable list of crimes, how they abandoned their own principles and people, their own children. Words flicker through her memory. “The rift in the galaxy is not our fault.”

But Ahsoka has learned that it is.

Given the right circumstances, a little education, nudging (pressure—torture—part of her brain cries) by the right people (the wrong people—don’t you see, child?—this is all wrong) and here she is. And here they are.

And she has a score to settle.

Ahsoka grits her teeth, taloned nails cutting crescents in her palms.

There will be justice, there will be recompense, and by her hand.

She looks into the eyes of her old Master and it’s like looking into the past. There’s that sick feeling in her chest again and Ahsoka crushes it, pushing down until something shifts and then snaps, sharp shards of glass cleaving her ribcage.

Ahsoka raises one shaking arm and chokes him with the Force, his feet drifting off the ground, back pressed hard against the wall. Though she’s never done it herself, she’s seen it from Anakin plenty of times and Ahsoka now understands the fury he wields that’s always surprised her.

His hands scrabble against his throat, desperate stare pleading, trying to reach her.

Something burns her eyes. Her fist tightens. “You were supposed to be there!”

The words tear through her, ripping the already scarred air. Months of unsaid words choked back swell, clogging her throat, and she can barely breathe past the broken syllables. With another yell that scrapes her insides raw, she throws Anakin down on the other side of the room. They both gasp for breath. Obi-Wan has stopped talking.

Anakin pushes himself up on a shaking arm, eyes darting straight to Ahsoka’s crumbling facade. Salt stings her lips.

The guard—Ahsoka thinks his name is Double—shoves Obi-Wan down beside Anakin, and his bound hands immediately go to Anakin’s trembling shoulder. Mumbled questions fall from his tongue, panic twisting his tone. Anakin’s eyes never leave Ahsoka’s.

“You were supposed to be there.”

The words are quiet, rough, homesick notes barely speaking through her tears.

Obi-Wan’s head whips over his shoulder, grey eyes too hard to read, and Ahsoka decides he’s never looked at her with anything but ice.

Hell has frozen over and so have they.

Anakin is openly crying, his gaze melted into waves of sorrow meeting Ahsoka’s gold-eyed shore. Obi-Wan has always been a glacier. Icicles prick his cheeks.

Biting rage sears Ahsoka’s chest. She doesn’t care what it takes; she’ll burn this Temple to ash just to feel the thaw.

Injured as he is, angry as she is, Anakin is too easily thrown when Ahsoka coaxes the Force to her will. Obi-Wan reaches for him, helpless, his hands useless under those cuffs. Anakin flies back, his shoulder clipping the side of the hole in the wall, and he tumbles off the edge. Ahsoka rushes forward, for a moment scared she’s killed him, but his hand—his metal hand—is digging into the rim of the hole, just barely holding on. The metal creaks.

It’s not a far drop, not enough to kill him anyway, and Ahsoka doesn’t know if she’s disappointed or relieved. She tries to be disappointed. Rain beats down against his face, but his eyes are bright blue when they look up at her.

She sees his lips move, hears the faint notes of his voice—something like I’m sorry, something like please—but the clouds scream over whatever he’s trying to say. Ahsoka looks away. Something is on fire out there, even in the storm, and the horizon is darkened by smoke.

“Ahsoka.”

Her head automatically jerks down to meet his imploring gaze. That sorrow again, that guilt, worst of all, that hope. Both halves of her howl with the roaring rain.

“I’m here now.”

You were supposed to be there.

“I’m here.”

Ahsoka can’t tell what’s rain and what’s tears on Anakin’s face, can’t tell the same on her own. She looks behind her at Obi-Wan, for reasons she doesn’t bother to understand, and sees him struggling against the guard harder than ever. She wonders what he would do if he was free, almost calls for his release just to see.

But she has already spent too long here, made too many mistakes. The weak part of her has grown louder, and she needs time to smother it completely.

Ahsoka looks down at Anakin again, salty tears biting through her gritted teeth. She calls her lightsaber to her hand, hovering it just next to his face, barely searing the edge of his skin. The red glow makes him look dead already.

“I could do it.”

Then she tears herself away, turning into the shadowed warmth of the Dark Side.

It’s a disappointment, it’s a failure, it’s a relief drowned by wrath at having allowed these parts of her past to live. Obi-Wan shudders to his feet, bleary eyes panicked as he rushes to Anakin, Double and Cross now dutifully following Ahsoka out. There’s sounds of struggle, movement, shifting robes. Ahsoka can almost picture Obi-Wan’s strong grip, Anakin hauling himself back up into the Temple, hair sopping, water pooling down around them. It’ll stain the stone. If it survives that long.

By the time Anakin pulls trembling limbs up, his mind still shaking off frigid rain, raw betrayal, chilling hurt, Ahsoka is already gone.

Once Upon A Time Rewatch: 7x22 Leaving Storybrooke

Omg it’s the finale! This is wild! To think I started writing my thoughts on each episode every week on April 6th, 2019. It’s been very nearly 3 years! And now here we are! It’s been so fun and I’ve loved having this little outlet to express myself. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed rewatching and analysing. What a journey it’s been. Thank you to everyone who’s read or interacted with these posts in any way! I hope you stick around to read my views on Once Upon a Time in Wonderland starting next week!

The dwarfs! Granny! Archie!

Good Lord, Margot nearly ran Grumpy over! You just know it’s cause she didn’t have her glasses on. Put your glasses on, girl!

Ha! She listened! Cause she definitely wasn’t wearing them at the start of their journey. It must have been a wild and dangerous ride to sb.  

I can’t believe Gothel and Drizella messed up her eyesight for the curse. Drizella was probably jealous of her and Alice and thought, “hmm, I know what I’ll do,…make her wear glasses mwahahahaha!”

Jokes on you, Driz! Her glasses are awesome.

Jesus! Granny was gonna straight up shoot them with a crossbow! What the hell Granny?! That’s extreme. Now they’re running at them with pickaxes! Oh my God!

Zelena! I missed you!

It must be so weird for past!Zelena to see her grown up daughter. And I guess for Robin to see her younger self.

“… that magic bean hiding in the cupboard.” Of course there is. Rumple is screaming in the distance.

There in the snow globe! I got caught in the snow on Thursday. It was suddenly like a blizzard. It’s weird it was snowing in March but it’s not the first time that’s happened. But my poor doggy, Happi, got caught in it too and she has a cold. Luckily, she had her adorable winter coat on, and we carried her like a princess, wrapping her in my own coat like a burrito for good measure. She seemed to enjoy herself haha.  

Oh! How have I never caught this part?! Wish Rumple, or rather Wish Henry, stripped Rumple of his powers and immortality! So, Rumple’s kinda got what he wanted already. Wow, the Author is so freaking powerful that he can even take the Dark One’s power away. I always wondered how Rumple could suddenly die so easily. The only issue is that if his magic was taken, he shouldn’t have been able to rip out his own heart. And also, he probably should have taken out Wish Hook’s own heart first. Though I’m guessing that was impossible and maybe Hook’s shrunk like in Wicked with Boq.

Jared is so good at being a villain. I remember Lana was so proud. Me too Lana. Me too. Remember when he was ten???!

Where do they all get these magic-hindering cuffs from? I thought Pan made them? There even in the Wish Realm? I guess Wish Pan could have brought them with him.

But he hasn’t saved her. He’s a different Henry.

The way he grabs her arm and slashes her hand. Ruthless!

In the Wish Realm stories are written in blood and tears? I thought the Wish Realm was a happy place, where the good guys prevailed over the Evil Queen. I’ve been lied to!

I know Regina loved Robin but come on?? Facilier’s only just died! I would have preferred if she had seen Facilier in her dream, but I am biased.

Is Regina having some kinda magic dream here? Did Robin’s supposedly destroyed soul somehow make his way into Regina’s dream? Or else, how did she get the feather?  

Aww Rumple and Wish Killian bonding!  

The fact that Alice had Maui’s Hook suggests she must have wished for it. Her wish magic is so powerful and was so underutilised! She can summon things from other realms. She can summon anything! I wonder if she can summon people across realms. I would have thought she could if she just wished for them.

And now I’m sad, because, if only Killian had used Maui’s hook to free Alice straight away. *cries forever*

I love that they make it clear Alice still has magic. I think that the only additional powers she had as the Guardian were the abilities to sense the dagger and absorb the darkness.

The way Alice shakes herself as though scolding herself after she approaches her father. I’ve shook myself like that so many times. And Robin’s right there to comfort her straight away.

Oh, he is King Henry! I thought so.  

Did Wish Henry run out of ink? I guess Cruella’s hair only contained so much.

I’m still sad they didn’t make the Blue Fairy the ultimate big bad of the show. They had such an opportunity in s6, and it would have made so much sense. God, I wish she was the final villain and had a villain monologue about how she orchestrated everything and how she even played Rumplestiltskin so that he’d cast the first dark curse. She was the one who told him about the curse in the first place. God, it would have been the perfect end. In my heart she’s the big bad. I do feel sorry for the Wish Blue fairy. She’s gonna live out her worst nightmare forever. That sucks.  

Rumple is sad that the magic of the Guardian is gone, and he seems to believe that because of that he’ll never be able to get back to Belle, but all the Guardian could do was free him of the darkness. Isn’t the darkness technically gone if his Dark One magic and immortality have been taken. I guess the darkness could still live within him.

Poor Killian. Alice needs you! Stay strong, buddy!

Curious Archer have been courting for 10 years. Holy bananas! It makes me wonder if there were laws in the NEF preventing them from getting married.  

And they’re both so happy! This is so sweet!

How’s he gonna take on all those guards on his own? I guess Robin’s gonna shoot arrows at them from afar but still.  

Regina was so freaking scared. It looked like that guard was gonna stab Henry. But then, has Wish Rumple taken over Wish King George’s/Snowing’s castle? Why are they dressed like the Wish Evil Queen’s Guard’s then? It can’t be the Wish Evil Queen’s castle because that was taken over by Split Queen. I’m confused but I’m gonna go with the former option.

Snowing!!!! Babies!! You don’t understand how much I’ve missed you!!

Yeah, the table’s there. It’s definitely Wish King George’s castle. It makes sense that Wish Henry would be there but not that his guards would be dressed like the Evil Queen’s guards.

So, as suggested by the official prop books, Regina’s nightmare prison is on a rock in the middle of the ocean, Snow’s is in some desert (I guess cause her name is Snow), Zelena’s is in the Nautilus (or should we say, on the naughty list), Alice’s is to be trapped in a frozen tundra with trolls (Is she in Arendelle? Because that would be fun. It should have been trapped in the tower again because lbr that would be her worst nightmare), Wish Blue’s is in the creepy woods from the Snow White movie, Charming’s is in Neverland with the Lost Boys (which very nearly happened, of course), Wish Hook’s would be in Wonderland (Ouch! Killian doesn’t have the heart to tell Alice that being so near to her is killing him. I wonder if it was made worse by all the time they spent together under the curse. Maybe his heart was corrupted every time they were near each other, but he just couldn’t feel the pain from it.

Oh. I forgot Wish Rumple planned to trap everyone. Charming tells them to scatter throughout the realms so it’s not just the people of the Wish Realm Wish Rumple wants to trap. I have to wonder, to what end? And I hope Snow and Charming and literally everyone else were able to hold onto something rather than fall into their nightmare.

Oh, the portals opened because of Wish Henry’s anger, so when his fury subsided the portals closed. I literally never knew that.  

That was a really cool and terrifying sequence!  

I can’t believe he’s hugging her though. She still killed his grandparents and kidnapped his mum as far as he knows.

But how did giving his heart to Killian kill him? Not to mention Wish Rumple. The only way I can try to explain it is that it was the nature of the curse of the poisoned heart and the two Rumple’s are connected by the darkness?

I don’t really understand how Henry is Rumple’s undoing but maybe they’re referring to Wish Henry? That doesn’t really make sense because he wasn’t the boy who led him back to Baelfire.

I always wonder if that’s really Belle he sees here. She’s just a lot younger than when she died. Do people de-age in the better place? Did Henry sr. and Cora? And Belle here seems so ethereal, it makes me wonder if this is just a vision of her.

This whole idea about casting another curse was an interesting one. I feel she should have asked the people of the other realms if they wanted their realms moved. I guess she can do it without altering their personalities and memories, but can a dark curse really be good? I guess they wanted to end the show how it started, with a curse and a royal ceremony. And I do kinda like the idea of the United Realms. I want it to be a real theme park. But I did like it when it was difficult to go from realm to realm. I think overall I prefer them to be separate, but I think they wanted to keep with the theme of everyone being able to find one another.

She wants everyone she loves to gift a small piece of their hearts to cast this curse? Sounds dangerous.

Regina, this is kinda a terrible idea, hun.

They finally revealed who Lily’s dad was in the last few minutes of the last episode haha.

Wow. Wish Henry embraced Regina real quick. And it looks like he’s wearing a Sherriff’s badge, so I’m guessing Emma has accepted him as her son. I mean, he is. As far as we know there’s no Wish Emma and she must have memories of raising him.

Oh, I’m glad they showed Zelena using magic. Otherwise we wouldn’t know which Zelena this is. It’s present-day Zelena not past Zelena. Good to know.

Prince Neal’s grown up a little! Cool! So, they’re stuck back in a time where he and Robin are like, 8 or 9. So they’ve been stuck back in time for around 3 years since Regina cast the curse. If Drizella and Gothel’s curse took them back in time, why couldn’t this curse take them forward into their own time? It must have created another timeline because Zelena and Robin would already have known their futures and it didn’t seem like they were in the United Realms at the beginning of 7x11. I could be wrong though. It just would have been nice if they’d met up with their family from their own time but the reason why they didn’t do that was because Emma would be in her 60s and I guess they wanted the original main cast to be recognisable for the last episode. This could have been avoided if Lucy was born earlier. In my head they go back to their own time after this ceremony.

11. If you ever did any storylines, what is the one you’re most proud of?

I’m constantly displeased with my storylines looking back (see: a reboot of my Core Legacy), but the concept for the Pastille Gen 3 is the one I’m most proud of. It was heading somewhere good/gamechanging, and I hope to get back to it... At some point.

I’m very proud of what’s coming up with Lunacy, though, so I hope the inspiration and excitement carries through.

I’m also lowkey very excited about Gen 3 of the Blooms??? It’s the first that the gameplay lent itself to a sort of “story” so... I am very excited.

31. The first legacy memory that pops up in your head?

In my original TS4 legacy, which I completed before ever posting on tumblr, I had to go to reddit to help me choose an heir because I just COULD NOT decide. The overall consensus was Skyla Scruggs, I was happy, everything was good. She was going to be a Scientist, like her ... grandfather before her, she met a coworker, she got a promotion, she got pregnant & had a baby etc. 

And then I had her take a bubble bath before we did the heir pictures.

She died of laughter the day her daughter Poppy was born, in the middle of taking the heir portrait.

That whole legacy was a gameplay MESS, tbh, but that moment seriously stands out to me. RIP Skyla Scruggs, you beautiful wonderful mess.

– ten  /  INSPIRATION FOR MUSE. Tbh, I made “Sinaka Kyralih” when I was first getting back into writing and roleplaying in 2010 and was supremely impressed with myself in that I could take my first and soon-to-be-married last name, flip it backwards, change where the space was, and tadaaa, generate a name that sounded like an actual name. Hooray for me! As far as “inspiration” for Kyra went, I took the lazy way out and stuck in parts of me (which would be easiest to RP with ;D) and pushed the idea of wanting to get out there and find adventure, and went with it. She fights for what’s right and won’t hesitate to stand up for her ideals. She won’t back down from a challenge. She’ll do all that is in her power to help her friends and back them up. She enjoys exploring and likes to be out in nature. She can be really silly, and intense. She’s in the Path of the Twelve and frequents dangerous locales to keep the peace in Eorzea and doesn’t regret a minute of it. She likes to play with people. Is she lazy in regards to mundane activities? Ridiculously so. Does she whine and complain? Frequently. If she’s not complaining about something minor then either she’s supposed to be in charge, something is actually wrong, or she realizes she’s with people who don’t think it’s cute/endearing. Is she perfect? No. 

The Calamity helped develop her greatly; the five-year gap gave her time to grow ha she caught up to my age during that and I was all >O about it when it happened xD I made her 5 years younger than me for... well I had a reason back then, anyway xD OH WELL THOUGH, HAPPILY SWAPPING AGE FOR A LITTLE MORE HARD-WON MATURITY AND ANGST, MWAHAHAHAHA and then never mentioning the other members of the Path of the Twelve, including the player’s Path Companion, gave me alll kiiinds of room for angst >D which I happily indulged in (my entire ‘sol’ tag, mwahahaha). But she remained completely happy and normal and playful and ridiculous and aggravating on the outside, just :) a little broken on the inside. hooray!

KHIT’LI WAS A SEPARATE CASE BUT THIS IS GETTING LONG SO TLDR: Handsome, spoiled, rich little Keeper Princeling from a well-respected Keeper clan from the time of the Crossing; his grandmother is the head honcho of the clan and is a direct descendant from the first Mewrilah matron, making his line like the direct-direct descendants and his mother next-in-line for that role and his sister (they’re close!) training to take up that position later in life. They’re traditional Keepers but living in a much larger-than-”normal” family group (like 6-10 families together rather than the one nuclear often shown in Keeper quests), and males are expected to leave and wander and w/e, but I thought it’d be fun for me for his family to make the male’s role a little more important - their clan has “important” ancestry, and they claim their coloring is closest to Menphina (dark purple-blue dusky skin, like the nighttime sky, with hair the color of moonlight~), so they don’t give away their important “seed” for nothing; rather, they trade with their male’s attentions (alongside normal trade things, like furs and etc.). Weekly ratings, etc. ex: The Aliapoh’s want a Mewrilah-sired offspring? There’s a price~ 

BUT ANYWAY I wanted Khit’li to be driven by the want to not have to take on that wandering lifestyle. He wanted to be taken in by another family, permanently, as he can’t stay with his own, and will do whatever it takes to get there. He wants to be wanted, but will settle for being found indispensable by another family unit - so much so that they will trade whatever it takes to retain his services permanently. So~ he trained intensely growing up to be perfect in all things Keeper poor thing thought he could just stay on if he did well enough ;u; and when that didn’t work, he petitioned to train as a healer to make himself more desirable, the petition passed, and so he went out in the world to train as a conjurer (and then an arcanist when the elementals didn’t much care for him either way) and flirt (and flirt hard) with any Keeper with a crossings-last-name (since only old families could hope to afford what he had planned). He’d drive her crazy to the point she’d want to mate with him, but can’t without a trade agreement with the Mewrilah clan, and when she took him to her clan to start those negotiations he’d wow them with how useful he was and charm all of their young women and make himself indispensable with how well he hunted and healed them and cooked for them and painted faces and told traditional stories and would be so charming that when he suggested they trade for his permanent services they wouldn’t hesitate and would go through with it. 

And then he’d have a home.  (ಥ﹏ಥ)

Anime Watchlist #2

My original post for this has gotten too long so I’m starting a fresh one!

So when last I posted I decided the next thing i was gonna knock off the list was Angel Beats and here’s where I’m at now:

I finished watching Angel Beats!

Man what do I even say, this show was really sweet/kind and enjoyable, no matter the episode it was fun!

I would’ve liked to have gotten a lot more on the backstories of the minor and major characters and I feel like the emotional gutpunch would’ve resonated more if we had gotten that time to spend with them.  But I get that they were limited by the 13 episodes they got instead of the intended 26 they originally planned for. 

It’s a credit to the show that the characters are still endearing enough naturally for a lot of the story to still hit its mark nevertheless.

The writing was a lot stronger when it focused on a single character (like Iwasawa in episode 3 and later Otanashi in episode 9) rather than the whole mystery supernatural highschool comedy vibe so I think it might have been more solid if it’d been a character of the week show with elements of the mystery plot route rather than a mystery comedy show with some bits of character development scattered about. But again I get they were way too limited for time for that especially with such a complex scenario to unfold in just 13 episodes.

The soundtrack was so well made and I REALLY enjoyed it, especially the opening and Iwasawa’s songs.

My favourite parts were probably episode 9 as well as the 12th episode - even with the unexplained plot bunnies ep 12 didn’t quite get to, you could tell the mounting of the ending climax was in a rush but there was enough purity of feeling that the message still reached my heart so I still liked it, Yui was definitely the strongest character of the show and it’s because of that that it worked out.

Angel Beats was the kind of show that brims with potential and then cuts off suddenly leaving you wanting more, I definitely think it had more to say, but what it did say moved me. I wanted to root for these kids and protect them and I loved how much they loved each other.

I’m not sure how to rate this show, but I can say that I enjoyed it very much regardless of its flaws it was entertaining as all get out.

Now, I get to choose what to watch next! MWAHAHAHAHA

Straight off I think I’m going to save Laputa for last so that’s out for now. 

I’m still angry at director Mamoru Hosoda over the ending of Wolf Children so let’s leave The Boy and The Beast out for this time’s choice.

Space Dandy and Baccano! are hard to choose between. 

On the one hand, Space Dandy’s by the same people who made Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo which are both shows I really gelled with, tastewise at least it’s probably going to be up my alley if it’s anything close to the standard of those two! But liking the other works by it’s creator is all I’ve got to go on as I know nothing else about the show itself besides the fact that it’s well loved by its fans. 

Baccano! on the other hand, taking it’s name from the Italian word for ‘ruckus’ the synopsis of this one looks really interesting, ‘a tale about immortal gangsters spread over decades’, that sounds so cool! I immediately wanna know more. It’s another super popular show too, with a dedicated cult following so I’m curious.

But.. it being supposedly spread across decades while only being 16 episodes long is mildly concerning to me. Considering both Eden of The East and Angel Beats; the two shows I last watched for this list didn’t seem able to fit their character development and plot in with such a limited time frame. I’m concerned the same problems will hold true with Baccano!

I’m going with Baccano! 

But I’m going to go in with as low/few expectations as I can manage.

An 8 page zine for Halloween

How a single drawing inspired me to write and illustrate a short story.

Even though I always feel super creative around September and October because of all the drawing challenges with amazing prompt lists, I couldn’t participate in any this year because of book deadlines, and it would be way too much extra pressure/work. That said, I was playing with some of my new Procreate brushes by Retrosupply (specifically their ESSENTIAL PROCREATE BRUSH BUNDLE) and found myself drawing a Halloween little scene, with two months in advance. Had so much fun with it that I started warming up my work drawing sessions with other Halloween snippets, so after the cemetery with the lettering, I drew a frog Prince, and with those two drawings I started thinking of a story. Now, I’m not a writer, and my only goal was to make a thread out of these spot illos I had in my head, so they would make sense together. Instead of the pressure of making 31 drawings, I settled for 6 spots plus the cover, and turned them into a 8 page mini-book (a letter size paper that you fold into turning pages as explained in this video) with some very simple sentences. The fun in this project was the challenge of just using 3 brushes (for the most part) to create B&W illustrations, and I certainly would love to explore this further and work on illustrations for a middle grade or young adult book.

“Trick Or Treat?” - A Halloween Tale

There’s a tiny gate with a bell on the east wall of the cemetery, but no one knows who lives on the other side in the spooky cabin. 

On Halloween night, Kevin decided to ring the bell for Trick Or Treat. 

“Who dares to disturb the dead?!”

“Trick or Treat…?” Kevin mumbled, his voice trailing off.

A lady dressed in black picked up his pumpkin basket and made some gruesome candy appear out of thin air with magical powers. 

She invited Kevin in and began to tell him all about her best friend, pointing at the huge photograph of a bride, who would join her later that night; and how marvelous their Halloween Nights always were. 

“Oh don’t mind Harry”, she continued. She had preserved her pet toad under a glass bell jar but still missed him very much. 

The lady in black, Fran was her name, felt so lonely without Harry, that she decided it was finally time for a new pet. Mwahahahaha!

This definitely makes things more difficult because I anticipate JD is going to beat me in immunity. I was playing just to finish it for personal reasons not necessarily to win immunity and now wow! Welp. That F6 vote? Did NOT go to plan. Gosh darn Owen! Why do you not want to follow my agenda? Why wont you just do things that'll benefit me and screw you over! :) It was the right move for him though, I should've handled that idol play much better. I could've saved Logan grr. I am SO pleased that they beat their survivor record, but I'm disappointed, as I feel like he was caught in the crossfire of people targetting me. Now, its time to fight. I've just gotta think 'Never Give In, Never Give Up, Never Surrender'. I will FIGHT for my place at the F3.

Me and JD has discussed it somewhat beforehand, but I couldn't get ahold of her and had to go with my gut and play it. I just had to think W.W.J.D. (What would Jay-sus do). Now that Owen has won immunity, I feel like my dream F3 has been dismantled :/ Like Logan is gone, which I'm so sad about and I'm so afraid JD will go next. She has been my number 1 since day 1 and I would hate for her to go :/ I have two plans now. 1) If JD goes, I have to aim to go F3 with Trydia. I don't think Lydia gets many votes, as those who'd vote her, would vote for Trevor and I could present myself as the opposite to Trevor, as a strong social threat (Trevor has burnt some bridges) 2) If JD stays, I aim for a JD + Lydia F3. If I can pull that off, that'd be amazing whew. But, I've made F4 which is truly truly phenomenal! :)

I CSNT remember when I last made a confessional but I'm yay I did the puzzle!!! It was worth it to stay up all night and do it bc if JD had gotten immunity with ali's stupid final five power or whatever that would have been not good!!!!! Wow. Anyways I want to vote out JD and then hopefully I can win the next immunity too and send out Ali. A final three of me Lydia and Trevor would be good idk we will see! I lowkey think I have a pretty good case to beat Ali so Idk if something weird happens I guess I could vote for Lydia with Ali and Trevor and Lydia would vote for me and I'd do a tiebreaker against Lydia. But hopefully I can just beat him at immunity anyways. Also for some reason apparently Ali told Lydia that JD has an idol?? I don't think it's true but idk. Legit if JD has some idol that can be use this round when all of the others could only be used last round I'm not doin it anymore like I'd walk in a heartbeat if that happened bc it makes literal zero sense. The hosts aren't bad and it would literally be awful and pointless and djdjdj Idk! Idk. That's why I don't think it's true. Y'all know better than that and Ali is just reaching. Like if literally everything in the game had to be used by f6 besides a ring that jd-Ali had and an idol they had I would probably die that is the most riggt thing I can imagine. So I'm not really afraid of this "idol" but nice try Ali I guess

Well, I made F4 WHEWWWWWW! Its hugely dampened by JD going however. I need to do this for her now. My allies have fallen, but I'm still fighting! Its been such a bumpy ride, my dream F3 has disintegrated, everyone wants be gone, the other three in the F3 are a final three, but I'm still fighting!

Yikes. The issue with me saying 'Owen more like no win' is that Owen literally wins at F3? I think Trydia are so decided on getting me out, that I might need to win immunity and force their hand. I think I may've made some headway with Lydia, but that might be her pretending that. The issue is, to persuade them, I have to degrade my own game and thus, I need to prepare my counter-arguments, in case I'm blessed with a place at F3. I may've given the ammo to load their guns, but I have cannons aimed right at them too! For a F3, right now, I'd vote Owen over Trevor and then Trevor over Lydia. But, I have different arguments for each of them. In my opinion, the best option for each of them (the vote I can most likely persuade them on), is that Lydia should vote off Trevor, but I'll try and convince Owen as plan B, and Trowen should vote one another (dunno how likely that'll be! :)). I dunno, I'll try and find a way! :)

I feel pretty good about this challenge. Mostly all I have for right now is work tomorrow and like an escape room thing for my friend but if I can get a super good lead tonight then I shouldn't have to worry too much about tomorrow. I really feel like I probably need to win it though. It's easy for Lydia to decide I'm a bigger threat than Ali and clock me. Plus, if Ali wins then idk what I'll do! This challenge doesn't seem like Lydia or Trevor's forte so hopefully I can pull it off. It's do or die time. And I'll worry about finals once I'm there, but for now I need to focus on this!

I REFUSE to be Wentworth'd. I need to win this challenge, so I need to beat Owen (the main threat). I am determined to dance, write a story, pose in a toga. ANYTHING I need to do to make it :)

I'm making some progress. I'm pitching a Trydia + Moi F3 to Trevor. I think that's his best shot. If I win the immunity, I'd probably get rid of Trevor, but if I don't have that luxury, I'll take any seat I can get! :)

I AM DEAD. I... ACTUALLY WON. THIS CAN'T BE REAL. I CAN NOT BELIEVE THIS IS HAPPENING. Also, people that have been being super vague when it comes to the vote are FINALLY talking to me lmao! :) I wrote a short story about cockroaches for the challenge and it seems like we have three of them mwahahahaha :) I DON'T MEAN THAT REALLY. I love them three. Its been a bumpy ride, but I love all three of them! :) I AM IN THE FINAL THREE THOUGH. THIS IS INSANE IN THE MEMBRANE. (insane in the brain)

So last night I tried to get both Trevor and Ali to vote for Lydia instead of me but after sleeping on it I'm content with my position in the game. I told Ali to just vote me out. I know it's kind of seen as giving up, but the only other option I have is tying with Trevor and doing a tiebreaker and I'm pretty sure I would beat him at it... I am an extremely competitive person. I don't give up. I fight until I win or I lose. But I think the journey I've had in this game is testament enough to the type of player I am. From the very first vote I've been in a position of control. I decided to vote Linus out. I decided to turn on Jay. The Matt vote was supposed to be someone else until I talked to the right people. I completely turned the target from Duncan to Sam at final nine, and at both final seven and six I was a deciding vote to go against Ryan and then Logan. I've made plenty of moves and navigated myself out of situations where my back was against the wall and I don't think anybody else in this game was able to do that. And I think if I tied with Trevor and beat him and went to the end with Ali and Lydia, I could win. It's right there for me. But it comes at the expense of someone else who I truly love and care about, and I can't do that. Coming into this game with Trevor I expected that it would turn into us against them and that one of us would be a causality along the way. Instead it's turned into a kind of personal struggle I think, whether it's me versus Trevor or me versus myself in a way. Trevor has played really well (maybe not as good as me hahahahaha @trevor :~) ) and it's tough because I am proud of him just like I'm proud of me. He always tries hard and he seems to come up short a lot of the time and it doesn't really thrill me to think that I could crush his chances when I know it means just as much to him as it means to me. We both want to win the game. But the difference is that I've been there before. I've won. And he hasn't. And so I've come to this conclusion that like.... I've won on my own terms before and I've had success and I've lost games because I was the biggest threat, but the one thing I haven't done is LOSE on my own terms as well, and I think this is a good way for me to give up something in order to benefit somebody that I care about who is equally deserving. This decision doesn't make me a bad player. It doesn't discredit the things I've PROVEN I could do. I manipulated most of the players here. I am proud of my game. Stepping down at the final four doesn't make me any worse of a player and it doesn't make this story of mine have a bad ending. If anything, it's a testament to the type of person I hope to be. I'm leaving 3-1 tonight and I want it to be that way because I am confident that this is how the story ends. And I've still got some manipulation left to do workin' that jury to vote for Trevor!!! :~) Thank you guys for a...UNIQUE experience. I had a lot of fun and it was refreshing to have some control in a game after the last couple I played went horribly out of my grasp. I love y'all!

Well, I would've wanted Trevor out tonight, but Lydia and Owen aren't gonna vote him grrr. I feel like if I pitch it right, I could (?) have a shot at this. My plan is to play up that I did well in all aspects. Competitions: Won the joint most, Trydia didn't win any Social: My social game is my strong suit, so I need to highlight that Strategic: Eddie/Ryan votes especially, generally involved in votes during middle to late merge. I'm so pumped to have made F3 though. Little old me, who'd have thunk it?

LYDIA

I was trying for like an hour Saturday night to convince Trevor to vote me out instead of Owen IF Ali won immunity.  I'm being forced to go to this ftc. I don't want too.  Here are the reasons why: 1) I'm so tired.  Half my inactivity is cause of my new job and ugh the idea of having to write like an opening, and read peoples shit and omg no thanks. 2) I'm scared of ftcs.  It's a deeply rooted fear, caused by getting my ass dragged over and over.   3) It'd be so much more interesting to see the three boys fight it out.  I'm not usually a menist, but I just feel like I'm emotionally checked out and am not gonna fight for it. 4) My resume is this game is a joke.  I mean I helped Trevor and Owen, and tried to get myself in a good spot to make moves, but kept getting fucked over. 5) I love to write a jury speech for all of these three boys cause I have very different but interesting relationships with them, and have lots of thoughts about their games that are never gonna be expressed.   Also I feel like it makes sense for Trevor to vote me out because it might split the Ali/Owen votes enough that maybe he could get majority.  I feel like this ftc won't even be a competition, which is cool I love Ali, but I also want a good ending so. Fuck it.

I sorta wanna do a final wrap up of the jury, before the craziness of FTC, just based on my thoughts of playing with them. 1. Rob- I really regret not pushing for him to stay at his vote out. I think he's sweet and I hope we can stay in contact! :) 2. Isaac- Loved him. Wish we could've spoken more 3. Matt- Yikes! Really liked working with him, voting him out was purely a game move. Hope we can stay friends 4. David- Didn't especially talk to him, someone stole my 'robbed' line from the Rob vote in their vote for him :) 5. Sam-  SO sad when he went. Maybe my lowest point game wise/ when I felt most out of the loop. Loved meeting him. 6. Duncan- In some mid-merge confessionals, I said some things about him 'lacking socially'/ being patronizing or something. In reality, that was just my pride, being annoyed that he'd given me (correct) advice, on things I was doing wrong. In reality, he was being helpful, and I was just too proud to accept useful advice. I retract all that I said about him needing to improve socially! :) Really liked him too, hope we can stay in contact, when the pressures of the game are over. 7. Ryan - Tea Time with Ryan was, in hindsight, iconic. Loved forming a relationship with him, after he dragged the whole tribe. Can see the experience he has as a veteran player, and why he is so scary! 8. Logan- UGH. WHY DID HE HAVE TO GOOOOOO. I loved talking to him, after our rocky swap start, to the merge. So happy to see him beat his survivor record and he is in my top 3 favourites from this game! :) 9. JD- RIP. THOSE TWO VOTES WERE ROUGH. My dream F3 being shattered and my two favourites going home back to back was... no good. Really loved meeting her, wanna 10000000% stay in contact. I think, at one point, I said something too, about her not thinking strategy moves through. I take that back too, as it was me being reluctant to leave Trydia behind, and she was more ready than me (she was right) 10. Owen. Owen, who deserved to O-win. I still don't fully get why he wouldn't vote Trevor, when Trevor was voting him, but anywho. Loved talking to him too, and it was a shame he became such a threat woomph. Being in a F4 with a couple and a trio of best friends meant the F4 vote was kinda tricky!
