Every time YouTube nonsense happens I'm always like "I can't wait to see what Sergle says about this" because you're the only person I follow that talks about YouTube nonsense.

I am a filthy youtube enjoyer so you can absolutely count on me and GODDDDDDDDDDD... I mean the apology is not NEARLY as funny as the blunder, so it hasn't kept my attention as much but like the obligatory upfront thing is that, like, it is good that they posted it, they apologized for being insensitive and whatever, they're not scraping their channel clean or going forward with their old plan to only post their shows on their own platform, and these are technically good and correct things, because they could have pretended not to notice all the negative feedback. So like, responding is good. BUT LIKE I HAVE QUESTIONS NOW... Because they took SO LONG to film and upload a video that basically is just "we fucked up, we're sorry, we're not gonna do that anymore", which doesn't exactly take a writer's room several days to cook, but I DIGRESS... They were quiet for long enough for everyone to LOOK REALLY CLOSE. After the initial reaction, people had time to do some pretty comprehensive cost breakdowns for their stuff, and for what they have to be pulling in from adsense, sponsored segments, patreon, merch, and touring Like, they'd need to be really mismanaging their finances, because they're doing very well for themselves, making good, stable money, and the vids they make are super duper advertiser friendly. SO... you take long enough without putting out a holder statement or a quick heel-turn apology or anything, it gives people more time to get comfortable with not liking you, and also to dig around and google things about you, or scrape up info/trivia about you to corroborate their new opinion of you. It gets personal, is what I mean. So pulling this move has still, at BEST, caused some permanent damage to their relationships with fans, in both directions. They all got a huge flood of negative feedback, and even a perfect, emotionally mature, non-entitled person would have a negative reaction to people being upset with them at such a high volume. But now they're gonna remember the things that people have said about them, and there's no way that at the very least, Steven isn't gonna feel spiteful about this. People TOTALLY unloaded on him (funny) (valid) about his evangelical christian conservative leaning tesla privileged out of touch boy gold flaked ice cream eating ways. He definitely is going to remember that ppl said they never liked him in the first place. As for Ryan and Shane, people didn't have any dirt on them, but they definitely still received a lot of angry messages from people, most of which will have been reasonable, but they're gonna remember the really really mean and intense ones. Anyway, they made a booboo dumb enough for jack to want to make a skit about it, so for that I'm very grateful, because I thought it was really really fucking funny

What advice would you give someone who is writing poetry

Hey! I definitely have a lot to still learn myself as I'm quite new to my attempt at poetry (so I’d love to hear everyone else’s opinion/writing process in the comments) but since you're asking here's my take (sorry in advance if you just wanted a one-line answer..I’m not so good with that)..

In my opinion, poetry is all about provoking emotion..making you feel something..therefore “good” poetry is subjective due to the way individuals experience life and emotions differently.. In most cases (especially writing for fun/self-expression), it’s not something that needs to be technically correct (imo) like an academic essay, rather it just needs to make you feel something, so here are my tips/step-by-step process at this current time

Write for yourself AKA make sure that you like(love even) what you have written.. don’t write with other people’s interpretation/perception in mind (as “good” is subjective and you’ll never be able to settle on anything). You’ll feel much more motivated to write if you are encapsulating your own experience as accurately as you can (it feels productive to turn your pain into something more tangible).. Write the thing that you wish someone else had written that makes you think “damn.. that is so me” if you’re able to do that I’d call it a success. (My fav pieces still make me feel something each time I read them and make me feel glad I wrote them, as noone else had). I say this because we are all human at the end of the day if you’re feeling it, there’s likely going to be another human out there who is grateful that you have so accurately been able to translate a generally indescribable feeling into words.  

To be able to do the above (make yourself & others “feel”) I’d start by reaching as far down into your emotions as possible.. Everyone knows about surface-level happiness, sadness etc. but what is it more specifically that you are thinking and feeling.. or what is something that you think you might feel or do if you were to become totally unhinged.. Imo poetry isn't the place to downplay your emotions or soften your language - say the things noone wants to say, the things that are “wrong” to say, don’t hold back, allow yourself to be violent, angry, sad, toxic, or pessimistic in your writing, even if you’re an optimistic/cheerful/kindhearted person irl (people are often SHOOK regarding the strikingly different persona I portray in real life vs my writing..we are all multifaceted creatures at the end of the day).

Now you might be wondering how to put the above into actual poetry..a lot of people will just “find the words” because they are talented like that, but for the rest of us.. Controversial (whilst beneficial)I don’t think an advanced vocabulary is necessary to write impactful poetry (my vocab is shit & has barely developed since I was 10 years old cause I stupidly stopped reading books until only a couple years ago).. So instead what I personally do is I write out in as much detail but in simple language, how I am feeling/what I want to portray..like you’re trying to express something in your diary or a text message you’ll never send…  At first, this is going to look like a 10yro has written it and that’s so fine because you want a clear understanding of what you’re trying to portray in your piece.. now all your related thoughts are out, attempt to rewrite it in a way that is slightly more comprehensible (usually I’ll write it in notes app so I can still have the original versions to refer back to to make sure I am encapsulating what I originally wanted) and basically rewrite a couple times until it appears more refined

Then, your original wording might be perfect as is (I would say always go with your gut feeling) but the thesaurus and dictionary are your best friend!(bless google) If a certain word kind of “ruins the vibe” of the piece and it no longer feels “poetic” just google synonyms for that word, you can even search “synonym poetic” for further options. Don’t just use any synonym though.. If you’re undecided between a couple words I would highly recommend googling the specific definition of each word and compare, because usually definitions will have a very nuanced difference and that nuance can make all the difference in being able to accurately portray your point. 

Have fun with the spacing, the lines the layout, the use of grammar (idk the terminology).. utilise these things to transform everyday sentences into an art form! Don’t get caught up in the right or wrong!

 Now reread, you want that poetic rhythm of some kind, a state of flow.. Read in your head, then read out loud then read with your own experience in mind, then detach your mind from your own experience and read from an external point of view if you wish! Reading out loud will help you see if it’s readable (duh) and the wording problems, whether that be needing to change word or remove a word or add a word will likely fix themselves! I personally would focus more on emotional impact than aesthetic but ideally a bit of both is great!

This seems like an in-depth process but all this usually occurs within about 5-10 minutes per poem cause I don’t have the attention span to spend any longer on it (maybe oneday I’ll actually refine my work properly lol but for now it’s just my form of therapy). You’ve got this! <3

Other random things I’ve learned

-Keep a log of specific words, phrases, sentences, ideas etc. even if not at all refined in your notes app on phone as you randomly think of them so you can potentially come back to it later! (If you don’t you’ll likely forget and never think of it again lol)

-Sometimes the most simple thought/concept to us (based on the fact it has circled in our brains for a lifetime so we are bored of it) can be super impactful & significant to others, so just write it anyway

-Go with your gut feeling if you’re tossing up any of your ideas, words, expressions

-Remember that quote “art should comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable ” - you’re never doing toooo much

-personally ive had to drop the academic ego and learn to be more than okay with being shit..you’ve gotta just do it and accept most the things you’ll write could be shit but it’ll mean there is opportunity that you write something decent amongst it all.

-DO NOT compare yourself to other people writing poetry cause it can be so disheartening!!!! we are our own worst critics.. just remember we are uniquely ourselves, no one else can write the way we write.

-PRACTICE!!!! But basically just do that by writing as much as you can. I know it’s always said but seriously I started writing daily 4 months ago and whilst I wasn’t actively trying to improve there is a massive difference noticed by myself and others between the quality of what I wrote 4 months ago and now.. It’ll just start to click! I write every day but some days I don’t have it in me to write a poem so I’ll just write a thought or feeling or diary entry for that day to keep the routine plus you can possibly come back to it for poetry inspo. 

-fake it til you make it !!!! poetry is expression !!! anything can be poetry if you want it to be :)

-I also read not long ago that writing isn’t something where you peak in your twenties (thank god for me) but rather a lot of writers become successful a lot later in life! So this gives me a lot of hope that things can only improve! Considering I was able to improve in 4 months, imagine 4 years or even 1!!(exciting! I hope I get much better!)

-If you want to know how to be more creative, more metaphorical or a lot more visual with your poetry.. Don’t ask me.. In fact I need tips myself!! I’m going to guess it has something to do with my shitty vocabulary.. I hope that I can challenge myself to improve with this overtime as well, but for now I find it cathartic to just work with my literal thoughts and emotions. Similarly, if you want to know how write about uniquely positive experiences hmu in the future when I’m more healed but maybe not yet lol.

CONGRATS if anyone actually read through all this… you deserve an award! (let me know if anyone actually did and if it was at all helpful) I hope you can find even just a component of this somewhat helpful??!! maybe it was all obvious who knows haha but also please remember I’m not very experienced in writing poetry myself, this is just my attempt at keeping myself sane :) All my love x

Breaks were rare in the realm, and you couldn’t even take advantage of it because Danny Fucking Johnson was outside of your shacks small window taking pictures of your half-naked body. You were only in your shirt and underwear, staring at the ceiling and wishing Danny would leave. You had stopped touching yourself once you heard the first snap, though you were sure Danny had gotten a picture of you fucking yourself.

This camera had to have unlimited storage, you’d been counting the snaps you heard and so far you’re at eight. You knew he was purposely leaving the flash on, Danny wasn’t ashamed to admit he had a thing for you. If Danny didn’t have the added strength the entity had given him, you would’ve probably jumped out of the window and tackled him onto the cold ground. That, or atleast put your clothes back on. You glanced towards the window, sending a glare out into the dark forest. You could only hope Danny saw you.

Danny was supposed to be a heartless murderer, a man whose only job was to make your lives here even more of a living hell. You questioned how he even got to the survivor side… but then again it’s Danny Johnson, he could weasel his way into anything. Who knew how many pictures of you he had on his camera?

Then, as you began to fall deep into the rabbit hole of Danny’s camera, an idea struck you. You had always liked Danny, as annoying as he was. He never killed you in trials, he talked to you whenever he saw you, and to be quite honest, he was pretty hot. Sure you’d only seen the plastic scream mask, but he had a nice build and the sigh he let out when a pallet was slammed down on him was nothing short of attractive. He’s most likely never gotten a picture of you where you were more exposed than you were now. So how about you change that? You pondered on either stripping right now, or somehow stealing his camera and leaving him a surprise to come back to. The latter seemed more your style, so you sunk back into your cot and waited for the perfect time to strike.

After what felt like a few hours had passed, you left your shack and began making your way to the river separating killers and survivors. You were dressed in a tight, black long sleeve and the best pair of pants you had, which were still stained with blood and scattered with cuts. Not the sexiest thing you could’ve worn for this, but with what you had in mind you weren’t too worried about your outfit. You knew Danny kept his spare masks in his shack, and he had recently worn his red, horned scream mask (the best mask in your opinion) so you knew it would probably smell like him. You planned on wearing the mask as you enacted your plan, the ‘grand finale’ photo taken with the mask placed on your chest so Danny could see your face.

He usually took his camera with him to trials if he was gifted a mori, but thanks to the help of Meg, who was tunneled out very quickly into the match she had been in, you learned he didn’t have one. You also learned that Dwight was a ‘locker-fucking, sandbagging, dickwad, shit excuse for a teammate’… interesting. So, your plan should be pretty easy to execute. You had no idea how the aftermath of this would go, but you were pretty sure Danny’d be ‘speaking’ to you about it once he noticed.

You had made it to the river, staring down into the endless, pitch black water. The river gave out low echoes of the entity that you couldn’t understand, but looking at it for too long made you feel sick. Shaking the feeling off of your body you took a step forwards, the water enveloping you as you swam across. Stepping out of the river, your body was completely dry. You weren’t going to question it. You could see the killers’ shacks beyond the trees, Danny’s of course being the shack the farthest from your current location.

A bit of mindless walking later and you were at his shack. You could only hope he wasn’t there, your entire plan—your entire journey over here relied on if Danny was at his shack or not. You approached the side of the house and peeked through a dusty window, unable to spot him anywhere. You smiled and rounded to the front of the shack, forcing the locked door open. You expected his shack to be messy, disgusting, like a killer stayed there. To your surprise, his shack smelled nice, his masks were neatly displayed on the wall, his cot was made and his cameras were resting on an old dresser.

You grabbed his signature camera, as well as the red, horned mask and sat down on his cot, turning the camera on and deciding to take a quick look-see through his camera roll. You groaned when you saw the first picture, which was of course you with a hand in your underwear. the other seven were of you, laying in your cot in nothing but a shirt and underwear. You had to admit, Danny wasn’t that bad of a photographer. Most of the other photos were his mori, but alot were of you. And then, just as you began to grow bored of seeing the same things, you came across a video. Instantly intrigued, you relaxed back into Danny’s cot and pressed play.

Upon pressing play, it became clear to you what Danny had recorded. The camera was facing him, his mask was pulled up to expose his mouth, a small scar ran over the left side of his plump lips which he was biting down on in an attempt to stay quiet. Your cheeks flushed as he flipped his camera around. A pair of your underwear were in his hand, which was wrapped around his cock and pumping it at a brutal pace. Satisfied with your work, you leave the shack and begin the long trek back to the survivors side. There wasn’t any point in talking to the other survivors, you knew you’d be getting a visit fairly soon anyways.

Maybe that's a hot take, but I do think Wrathion being absent in Legion is a great writing choice.

Sure, entirely sidestepping the character who self-fulfilling prophecy-ed the expansion into being might seem silly, but for Wrathion's own ark it makes perfect sense.

Because at this point Wrathion is absolutely convinced that Azeroth is doomed. His plans to muster an army capable of dealing with The Burning Legion could not have been more of a failure. He has every reason to believe that his vision of the end is guaranteed to come true and that he is the cause of it. Just from him touching the problem, even with the best intentions it got worse in every way.

That's entirely too much to take in for a person who's entire purpose is proving to the world and more importantly to himself, that his nature and heritage is NOT that of a world ending monster.

Not going to lie, big mood checking out of trying after fucking up so bad it reinforces every single doubt you have about your worth.

This is exasperated by Wrathions self perception as a ""smart guy who sees the reality for what it is"". When you conclude with certainty by using cold facts and logic that you are a failure, are always wrong and break everything you touch, a depressed mind won't catch the contradiction between "I'm always wrong" and "my self assessment is correct".

Not only does Wrathion's pride feed his faith in his doom prophecy, the irreversibility if his mistake. It most definitely makes him completely unpreceptive to the possibility that whatever he is currently thinking bout himself may not be true.

Makes sense why Wrathion would be paralyzed in a dark corner somewhere the entire expansion.

But then the unthinkable happens: mortals beat The Burning Legion, and we beat it so hard Fell is now more or less off the multiverse politics chart for the time being. We kill a Titan for god's sake!

Which for Wrathion was probably such a relief and, barrirring actual therapy, exactly what he needed. Not only could he rejoice that his mistake literally wasn't the end of the world, it meant his prophecy was wrong. More importantly here he has the best possible proof that mortals of Azeroth can stand up for themselves. That he doesn't need to be the one hero to save the day, but that perhaps just participating in the process is enough.

My headcanon is that it was enough to let Wrathion put himself back together somewhat and after climbing out of that hole he jumped into Void research as an outlet/distraction. Hence why he is suddenly the best specialist on protection against Old God corruption in VoN.

And after all of that Wrathion gets character development that allows him to be content with playing a secondary role in defeating N'Zoth. He was invaluable yes, but he allowed us to take center stage, puts his trust in us to do our thing. And in my opinion self isolation and paranoia/need for control where the main things that left Neltarion vulnerable to old god influence.

Which makes it so neat that this is how Wrathion finally gets an oh so needed W. As well as quite literally allows black dragons to return ro Azeroth.

Feels good to say the Truth: Purity makes living in this shithole worth it. All the pointless psychology, personality typing, and horoscopes I learned for the world's sake is fake- I can't get along with debauched people. Doesn't matter how much we superficially have in common, there's nothing to say to people who have worms for brains. All their medical theories are wrong as well. I've attributed the headaches, nausea, restlessness of the heart and mind my body got around ordinary people as a personal problem, turns out those are symptoms of being fucking disgusted. I don't have to be around yeasty beasties talking about their deplorable conditions being "normal sexual health problems" anymore. Proud about their rank pussies & dicks being heterosexually active while growing 1 billion cultures in their body. Makes sense why I feel best when I'm alone while they feel calmer around me.

I wanted to be problem so I could fix myself which I tried for at least 10 years, but no, most people make me sick. I've only felt good around one person in my life. People like the idea of a spotless mind but when you actually apply it to your life they're ready to diagnose you with one of their delusions. I've always been sane and sound of mind: I don't want to objectify women, I don't want to "loosen up" and I don't want to forget God. I'm more relaxed than anybody I know: I've never worried about not having enough sex, whether I'm attractive enough for the billions of degenerates nor have I ever worried about amazing a stupid psychopath.

I stopped talking for a few years altogether (which were some of the best years of my life, looking back...) because everything I said was wrong or dismissed but of course, they could spew their psychic sewage in my presence without a single fuck about how I felt. I’m really glad that people in the TMNT fanbase have finally started calling out the insistence that 2012 Splinter is irredeemably abusive. As well as how the criticism comes across as racist. The way the character is depicted in the show versus the way he is often depicted in fan content is like night and day. I’m open to different fan interpretations, but I’ve seen an insane amount of fans confidently state that he’s canonically abusive. And this is one of the worst misinterpretations of canon I’ve ever seen in fanon.

2012 Splinter was raised in Japan, and seems to take on a more East Asian style of parenting. He’s stricter with his sons, but usually when they put themselves or their brothers in danger. However, I would say that he’s far more gentle and understanding than anything else. And I would like to clarify that reasonably disciplining your kids and teaching them right from wrong is not abusive. That’s what it means to be a parent. Never correcting misbehavior is another form of abuse, one that borders on neglect.

Another thing to consider is that he’s in a very unique situation. Splinter and the turtles are mutants. They will never be accepted by society and will always be seen as monsters; he knows this. He teaches his sons how to fight so they can defend themselves in a world that will try to hunt them down and kill them. He has nightmares about his sons dying. The show explores the terror he faces as a parent, which is something he’s already experienced with the loss of his daughter and wife.

Splinter is devastated and relieved to find that Miwa is alive. He loves her as his daughter, but that doesn’t mean he no longer sees the turtles as his sons. He views them as being his children just as much as his biological child. He clarifies this to Leonardo. The reason I love TMNT so much as a franchise is because it’s one of the few pieces of media that explores familial love within an adopted family. And TMNT 2012 constantly reiterates that family can look unconventional and does not need to be bound by blood.

Splinter is a realistic depiction of a parental figure. Most parents in media are either abusive or perfect with no in-between. Splinter is the type of parent who tries his best but still makes mistakes. In real life, there is no such thing as a perfect parent. Even the kindest parents are going to make mistakes from time to time. But my favorite thing about Splinter is that he almost always owns up to his mistakes. Rather than doubling down or pretending he did nothing wrong, he admits his wrongdoing and apologizes. And that’s way better than a lot of parents.

I don’t want to get too personal, but I grew up with several abusive adults in my life. I know firsthand what it’s like to experience very violent abuse at the hands of an adult. It fucked me up and I’m still recovering from it. Pretty much none of those adults ever admitted wrongdoing or grew as a person. In their eyes, they were always in the right and I deserved what I was getting. I would’ve loved to have a patient and kind adult in my life like 2012 Splinter.

Abuse looks different for everyone, and I don’t want to imply my experiences are universal. But as someone who did grow up in that environment, it’s upsetting to see people blow Splinter’s actions out of proportion in order to validate their dislike of a him. To me, it feels like fans are using the abuse as a tool to make their opinions look morally correct. As a writer, I understand making alternate universes to amp up the angst potential. But insisting that fanon is canon is where I draw the line, especially when it comes to willfully misinterpreting a character.

Also, by holding back your ideas, it makes your mind become unnecessarily clogged with so much unreleased energy. The hate that's hardest to ignore is yourself, so you just have to make yourself more loveable for yourself. The rest is a piece of cake to handle.

Although you're encouraged to execute your ideas, you should not ignore it when your mind tells you that something is a horrible idea. When you're feeling really unmotivated to work on something, it's your mind will tell you that something is not worth trying, or at least should take more time to process. If this happens, you should probably work on something you're more enthusiastic about at the moment.

Those who refused to celebrate your achievements, are not the people you should keep. So, just let them go, and continue being yourself. People probably always telling you that you don't deserve good things happening in your life. Despite being exposed to such negative mindset for a long time, you still have a feeling that it's not all that you deserve in your life, and you're absolutely right. It's your soul reminding you that there's so much more in your life, and you're destined to receive the things you always deserve. Those who telling you otherwise are just trying to keep you stuck in the shitty situation they're suffering. Don't let them be obstacles for the abundance and blessings coming in your way. Yes, I am aware that this is comedy and it is not a real world. But, I remember when I read the au manga on which Katarina remembered her past life when it was almost too late; and even there, when Katarina is presumably the perfect lady her mother calls her spoiled child. It's Ike she is never good enough in her eyes.

Maybe I am projecting, but I never could find their relationship in any way as a punch line.

It is more her mother than anyone else, but her parents aren't as flushed out nor do we get a lot of time with them, especially interacting with Katarina so it is harder to really understand their dynamic or motivations, other that how it is used for comedy and to keep Katarina from just accepting her future marriage - got to keep the plot alive.

The best sense I can get from her mother is that is doesn't like to stand out or be perceived as different, or embarrassed in society (that is the only reason we have really been given) - which is why she is so ridged and measured herself - typical noble lady? Katarina, especially after the memory awakening, isn't really able to truly conform to her mother's (and society's) standards, and is too excitable and I guess too open or blunt, not as composed and proper like the other girls behave. Even though she has adapted to many of the mannerisms, her personality is still fixed as her 17yo past self.

It is an interesting choice to have Katarina's mother prefer Keith to her, mostly because he is 'smarter' thus understands how to conduct himself better and not embarrass her or the family. At least that is my impression. Yeah, it can bother me too, which is why I mentioned it :) but I do try to keep it in perspective, as much as I enjoy the series, I am aware of what it is and what it is not. Since we do get more Keith, it does feel like him falling in line with the mother's perceptions (and acting like 3rd parent) is coming more from a 'it serves my wants' rather than him truly finding fault with it or Katarina (at least most of the time), that is my impression anyway - not that that matters to Katarina. It has been a while since I read the series, might need to refresh my memories.

It is also very clear that the very trait her mother tries to correct, is also the key reason everyone ends up falling in love with Katarina. So perhaps that is just the author's way of highlighting how many others in society have been raised this way and that is why so many are so closed off or put on a 'fake' self to others. I'm sure Katarina's mother's attitude or standards are pretty normal in other households. Katarina's modern memories and attitudes end up being better and healing to all those she meets who never experienced a genuine and open friend.

Patton Sanders

Just felt like sharing my very nuanced opinions about a certain side. He's not my favorite, but I see a lot of myself in him. Which is both a good and bad thing. Be very warned this is heavily based off of how I act vs. how I've seen him act in canon, but I'm not going to bring up specific in canon moments. It's just how I remember him.

First things first, I adore Patton, but he's trying to juggle too much. He's trying to control his emotions, be the example Thomas is to lead by, be the 'dad' persona, and keep everything in check. Because of this, Patton is manipulative, but I don't think he means to be. I think, most of his manipulation, honestly comes from a place of, things need to be this way morally, if they aren't then Thomas might be a bad person, and if that's the case I've failed him. What am I supposed to do them? Which is a huge weight for any of the sides to carry. Feeling as if though they failed him because they couldn't lead him down the correct path. But what Patton doesn't seem to get, is that he's not the only one making those judgements on morals. All of the sides have their own views on what's a priority and what's moral or immoral. I think in the redux, Patton finally realized that(to an extent, idk if it's an in depth revelation yet), because he saw that he was hurting Thomas. But in seeing that, he and the others ended up hurting Roman, who had looked to Patton for the more moral side of things, because he had thought that only Patton could make the call on that. Because of the sway morality has on the princely side, who's supposed to be doing his best to always do the moral thing, Roman ended up getting really hurt because of this. Also Patton's silence in the end was telling for how his views had changed and he wasn't sure of his stance on anything or anyone anymore, including Roman. Everything was just flipped upside down and shattered for him. Because he had been basing his morality off of his feelings. The feelings he had been trying to juggle, repress, and hide from the others. Yes he had talked to the others about his feelings and repressing and hiding them. But that doesn't mean he's stopped, it's hard to stop a habit that's been so ingrained into your head that no one knew about until recently. And this repression is because he has been raised to view these negative emotions as 'bad' and 'evil' so how could the others like anything about him that isn't perfect and good? And in turn, if Thomas isn't perfect and good, then that's Patton's fault. And on top of that, he's trying to be the dad persona to all of us, someone who's happy and loving. Someone you can always look up to and rely on. He's trying to be all of that, do all of that, and he can't. He's putting too much on his plate, and hurting those closest to him because of that, and he's only just grasped that he's been hurting Thomas because of Janus.

And because of all this, I can't hate him. As someone who was raised in a Christian household, there's a lot of expectations to be perfect. Because I was always 'happy' at school, I was known as the happy friend, where nothing could go wrong with me. I didn't have emotions other than happy. Teachers always looked at me for my good behavior, which only made my need to be seen as perfect worse. Because if I wasn't perfect, who was I? And it ended up with me hurting others, and I never meant to, it just sort of happened. It took my whole world being shattered in middle school for me to start seeing that maybe that wasn't the way to live. That much pressure isn't good for anyone. And it's still a struggle for me, and I'm seeing Patton, someone who is so much like the old me, struggling to learn that for himself. And I can't help but try and cheer him on his journey. Yes he's messed up, and owes a lot of sides a lot of apologies, I am not denying that. But in order for him to try his best to not repeat the behavior, he has to figure out the best way to stop doing it. Which is hard, it's one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. And I wish I had had someone who was going through the same thing as me when I was younger, to be able to help me pick up the pieces. So because of all this, I can't hate him. And I hope he's able to figure out how to love himself, flaws and all, so he can start loving others for their flaws too.

Bottling up their abilities and emotions often leads to it bubbling out in explosive ways. They inevitably lose control of themselves and embrace this part of themselves. Though they are hesitant to do so, it is part of their journey as an individual and it will happen eventually.

Princes take the role of the villain in many cases, even if they are heroes in the beginning. At the end of their path, princes have always found themselves to be villains deep down.

Personality:

A prince is someone who takes what is expected of them, internalizes it, and bases their whole life on this thing that is expected of them. Whether it be from the people they care about or from society, a prince will make it their sole duty to live up to this expectation. They often place themselves on a pedestal, and falling from this pedestal would detrimentally harm the prince internally. Their success is what drives them to keep going, and failure is not an option for them. 

They struggle with pushing themselves and others to their breaking point, often unintentionally. The prince doesn’t want to actually harm anyone. They just want to make sure everyone, and themselves, are performing at 110% of their ability. Their “best” is never enough for the prince, and the prince often believes that everything has room for improvement. This mindset can be extremely useful, and princes can make for excellent leaders, but it can also lead to their own downfall. Overexerting themselves and others is a huge risk when the prince is in charge.

Princes often struggle with their ego and keeping it in check. They perceive themselves to be the most capable person in their group, and they make that very clear in their actions and in the way they speak. They might not want to say they think they are better than others directly, but they certainly think so in their own minds. 

Their god complex can be their biggest flaw, and they tend to not listen to others very well. If someone has a differing opinion or way of doing something from the prince, the prince will decide that they must be wrong and that their own way is the only correct way. For this reason, it is hard to convince a prince when they might be wrong. In the prince's mind, only they know how things need to function properly, and nobody else understands. 

The prince is excellent in debates and getting their thoughts out. They make their thoughts known clearly, and often make sure that those around them are aware of them. They are blunt, and this can come across as rude in many cases. They don’t often mean to be rude, and they have a hard time understanding what they say is wrong when it is taken in this fashion. 

Princes can be manipulative in nature, and this is often due to how they want to be the ones running the show. They want things done the right way and will make sure they can get others to do what they need them to do, even if that means manipulating them into doing so. 

Perfection is everything to the prince, and they are organized with everything they do. They are neat freaks in many aspects. They are clean, speak fluently, and will keep mental lists of everything that must be done. They thrive off of this sense of order, and any sort of chaos will lead them to stress out about a situation. A stressed prince often acts out and unintentionally hurts others. When they are stressed, they tend to put their priorities above those of others in order to bring themselves a sense of control. Control is important for a prince, and they feel useless when they don’t have a hand in controlling the outcome of a situation.

The mind of the prince is constantly in motion, calculating and thinking about what they should do next. The prince’s mind can become a battlefield of their own making, causing turmoil and restlessness. Their thoughts can drive them into insanity, as they overthink everything. Their logical minds are what allows them to be so organized in the first place, and it's where they do most of their planning. Their intelligence in this aspect is one of their strong suits. 

Princes are dramatic in many ways.  They don’t mean to intentionally cause a scene, they often truly do feel that their problems are to the extremes they depict them as. They can be perceived as needy and overbearing to be around. They have things that bother them and tend to vent about them to others, even if that person doesn’t want to listen. Princes are sensitive beings. When their emotions get out of hand, princes are no stranger to letting others know exactly how they are feeling.

Princes have a hard time managing their own emotions, as seen by their dramatic demeanor. They often feel their negative emotions to extreme levels. When a prince is upset about something, they show it and make it obvious to those around them. Again, they don’t mean to be dramatic, and they truly just cannot get control of their emotions. This lack of control in one’s self often leads the prince to become more distressed. 

The prince is a pessimistic individual, always seeing the negatives of a situation. It is why they try so hard to improve things in their lives. They see all these flaws and only think about how they could make them better. When they can’t do anything to change a situation, they are often left distraught and desperate.

That's not patronising it's literally true

Too many minors nowadays think that being a minor means that the world revolves around them. That everyone should cater to their tastes and they should never, ever, be exposed to anything that challenges their world view or upsets them even a little - unless they personally approve of it.

First of all, this is ignoring that during your childhood is actually the best and most perfect time to have things challenge your world views so you can formulate opinions with as much context, information and lack of bias as possible before those things become so stubbornly ingrained within your psyche that it is difficult for you to accept other opinions or new facts.

Also having emotions like 'sadness' in response to media is fine. It's fine to not always feel happy. If you don't want to feel sad, don't engage with media that promises to make you sad.

Secondly, if you pirate a movie rated for people above your age, if you play a game with an age rating you do not meet, if you read a book from sections aimed at adults, if you read a fanfiction which uses the correct age warnings and various other tags, if you click the 'yes I am 18' button on a NSFW site, if you unblur a blurred pictured with a warning on it - it is your fault you saw that.

It is unreasonable to expect that all adults, and teens ready to see more mature things, should not be allowed to have media reflecting their interests and the harshness of the real world. Should not be allowed to tell their real story, or tell a fictional story about real bad things that happened, because some people might not like it and some of those who don't like it might be children who shouldn't have engaged with it in the first place.

It is not patronising to assume that if you, a child, are incapable of stopping yourself from ignoring these warnings, then maybe you need to talk to a trusted adult about putting parental controls or similar on your devices. That's literally what they're there for. If you see yourself as too mature for that, then you must take responsibility for exposing yourself on purpose.

"Adults have a responsibility to keep children safe!" Your parents, family, teachers and doctors have a responsibility to keep you safe. Strangers on the internet who happen to be adults have no responsibility except morally. In which case, tagging systems are in place to keep you safe and yes, that is good enough. Stop being entitled.

I'm an adult, the body is an adult, and still there is stuff I hate seeing on the internet. I hate being exposed to it because it's not tagged. But I wouldn't go out of my way to ignore warnings that it's there and then complain that it exists.

"But x is dangerous even for adults to view!" Is just an opinion.

You as a minor are responsible for your own viewing, or you need adult supervision.

You as a minor will not want to abandon your interests once you are no longer a minor.

The word 'minor' is not a magic word you can use to have things changed to meet your needs.

Especially when there are also plenty of 'minors' who would happily not want the things you, personally, want censored because they enjoy darker themes etc

In other words, the internet's issue is not that there is content generally inappropriate for many minors, but that minors are allowed free reign over said internet and then get a inflated sense of self importance about internet content (all internet content) needing to be for them.

I get it, you can't conceive of caring about what adults like. Adults are all gross, violent predators who are only valuable insofar as they can make content you like, say the things you want to hear and have the opinions which you deem as morally sound.

But that's just not how the world works. It's fine to be distressed by things and wish you hadn't been, but if you chose to ignore warnings the takeaway should be "Well that was my own fault." not "Let's bother this stranger to try and make them censor their art because I didn't like seeing the Dead Dove they had in the Dead Dove bag, which is the appropriate way to store a Dead Dove that you've found."

Nihil, seeing that you are only in a long but light dressing gown, then grabbed his cape which he is carrying on his back and he helps you put it on your shoulders.

After a while, you accept his offer when you see his sweet gaze almost begging you. So you go out.

Nihil took you to the Abbey Gardens. Magnificent gardens filled with dark red or white roses, some flowers of different kinds of the same color or black. This garden, your peers would surely not appreciate it, but you do it.

The young man called Papa stopped on a bridge over a river in the terrace, which surprised you a bit and, honestly, worried you. But your worry disappears when you see him smile softly at you as he grabs your hands and kisses the knuckles of one of them.

A blush quickly spreads over your cheeks and you pray with all your heart that Nihil didn't notice.

The man looks at you straight in the eyes, and says in a hurry :

"- I'm not going to cut corners... I'm not hiding from you that I don't want to confess. So just- let me... Will you?"

After his words, you feel his lips rest against yours.

By no means am I, or anyone, calling Ollie “the most perfect little revolutionary known to man” there’s no such thing. And no one is saying it's not nuanced or that there aren't limits to what Ollie can do for others. No one can save everyone. But, again, Ollie is the one who actively takes a vigilante stance against the system. Many other characters call themselves heroes and that's the difference. Ollie acknowledges that he is working against the people in power, that he is inherently a criminal, and that being a criminal that doesn't inherently make him bad or good. that's the broad view so that we're on the same page. It does seem on that fact we agree. By being a firefighter or a paramedic, you serve your community. They place their lives and time on the line for others. Ollie, in my opinion, serves the community by being a vigilante. And by holding himself accountable within his community for his actions he is serving the community because Ollie swore to protect them. He can't protect the people if the people don't trust him to do the right thing nor if they don't believe he doesn't hold their best interests at heart. I never said Ollie turning himself in was good or bad, I just agreed that time and time again, every time there's a revolution in history, the country once again falls because they have no plan for what to do after. Ollie is one who is trying to come up with that plan.

Ollie is the kind of person who thinks everyone has a moral obligation to vote. That is playing into the system, that is a vital part of his character. No one is saying he isn't a part of the system or that he isn't also a product of society, what we're saying is he's the kind of character who's trying to change those problems. Q: A lot of people think Bai Zhu an unlikable character in the beginning. What's your opinion on him?

A: From the perspective of Bai Zhu, he's a pure and simple person with his own firm principles. He's not the perfect male protagonist, especially that he appears too sharp in the beginning. But in fact, what he values most is that the patients get the most timely and effective treatment. Therefore, in the early stage, he and Xiao Yan have some disputes about the ideas of "curing the disease" and "saving people", which is why his teacher sends him to work in the emergency department. Through his daily interactions with Xiao Guang (adopted son), his family background and the treatment of different medical cases, he gets a deeper understanding of the profession as a doctor: it's not only about curing diseases, but also about heart.

Q: What are the similarities between Bau Zhu and you?

A: Hahaha, we both have the surname Bai. We're similar in personality: we're the people that stick to our decisions.

Q: What homework did you do to play Bai Zhu?

A: There're a lot of medical cases, so I put more effort in preparing each case, understanding the cause and treatment of them. The other is to sort out Bai Zhu's character development. He's not a traditional "grow-up" character. He's someone who experiments gradual changes, from complete rational in the beginning to emtional empathetic at later stage. So I put more focus on specific and subtle details.

Q: How does it compare to the first doctor you played? (Bai Yu played Xie Nanxiang, a medical intern, in the 2015 drama "Grow up")

A: It's completely different. The first time I played an academic loser who learns to improve his skills to become a better doctor. But Bai Zhu is a very capable doctor and his development is more about understanding the relationship between medicine and humanity. Basically, from a poor student to a top one. Besides, this drama is also different. You imagination was limited to the characterization of Bai Zhu, and in the professional part, we completely followed the guidance of the on-site supervisor doctor.

Q: In the drama, Bai Zhu is an emergency doctor, and there will be many first aid operations. What are the difficulties in shooting these operations?

A: The biggest difficulty is that we think that doctors will be in a hurry when rescuing people, but in fact they are very steady when they are doing so. Because we haven't really experienced so many things that doctors have done, it's difficult for us actors to find out the real state of doctors when they rescue. I remember a scene where Bai Zhu was on his way to a meeting. He encountered a chain-reaction car accident on the highway and had to open the airway for the patient through the sunroof. We are not professional doctors, and the rescue scene on the highway is a very urgent situation. We are not so familiar with and skilled in medical operation procedures. It was really quite challenging for us.

Q: As the best surgeon of the department of cardiac surgery, how is the shooting of the professional operation scenes of Bai Zhu done?

A: We need to remember the usage and gestures of various medical instruments during the operation. If there are lines during the performance, it's easy to ignore some real details. Many doctors will definitely watch medical dramas, and they will know whether we are right or wrong at a glance, so the director payed a lot of attention in details to help us. And we had doctors with the crew throughout the play, and they will help us correct our gestures or practical things at any time.

Q: How do you feel about the collaboration with Yang Mi this time? What's your opinion on the role of Xiao Yan?

A: I think she is great. We had a lot of professional terms to say, and it was very hard for me. And even if you understand these terms, it is difficult for you to remember them. But she always said them right. Her role is very capable and calm. Xiao Yan and Bai Zhu actually have some differences in philosophy, but after experiencing many things together, they make progress together and have integrated each other's ideas with themselves.

A: After filming this drama, I realized that it is really not easy to be a doctor. They dedicate so much time in curing diseases and saving lives that they really don't have much time to live a good life.

In my eyes, they are angels in white, who heal the sickness and save people. It used to be a superficial feeling, but after playing a doctor this time, and experiencing the pandemic, they're the persons that I deeply admire and respect.

Q: In the play, many cases are used to tell the stories of doctors, patients and their families. How do you see the relationship between them?

A: I think it is mutual understanding and mutual trust. Doctors are a group of people who help patients to overcome the diseases. Doctors, patients and their families should be on the same front, more like allies facing illness and death together. They're equal and should respect each other.

Q: If you could say one word to Bai Zhu, what would it be? What about Xiao Yan?

A: (To Bai Zhu) Pride is still needed! Bai Zhu is the kind of person who doesn't listen to what you say, you have to let him experience it by himself. It's good, just keep going.

I want to say to Xiao Yan: "put away your pride, Xiao Yan, hahaha, forget about that ex-boyfriend, forget about your fiancé!".

Q: Can you share a little secret of healthy life?
