it would explain why percy is more fluent in latin than most of the other greek demigods and also how he is described as straight up GORGEOUS. gorgeous enough for hazel to think he was a roman god. A roman god in disguise (which, by the way, is confirmed to be a huge compliment considering that percy said in the calice of the gods that you could recognize a god in disguise by the fact that they tend to make themselves look a little too perfect)

how sally is also "strikingly beautiful" in canon and i do not remember where but im pretty sure she has also been described to look like a "warrior princess" or something along that and descending from a goddess of love would explain how she managed to attract poseidon despite not having any characteristic related to the stuff poseidon is the god of (most gods chose their mortal partners based on that; ex. wills mother being a singer or annabeths dad a professor) also apollo in the trials of apollo saying that he understood why poseidon was attracted and if he were still a god would have tried hitting on her too

Also! the swan being one of aphrodites/venus sacred animals but at the same time a symbol of loyalty. and whats percys fatal flaw? loyalty

Knowing that Will like canonically listens to true crime is so funny to me but mainly because of how many like serial killers and just general crime and cults that went on in the 50's so imaging Nico just being like

Nico: "Uhh.. i remember once back when i was little i met this really cool guy named ___"

Will: "THE SERIAL MURDERER????"

I like to think that pre-Oracle Rachel painted scenes from both wars, but she and Percy have no idea until they go back and reflect.

Percy notices, cause Rachel shows him her art, but he just rights it off as weird, even tho something doesn’t feel right.

Like, that’s DEFINITELY a replica Achilles mourning Patroclus. Only it’s two girls, one with flowing hair and a melted face, the other kneeling over her friend, face stricken with grief. He thinks her eyes look familiar. An immortal stands over them. Although they remind more of Ares and less of Thetis.

She has another painting that reminds Percy of a story from the Gigantomachy. Hera cowers under Porphyrion, about to be attacked. Only instead of Zeus and Heracles coming to her aid, it’s a guy with blond hair. His armor and sword is distinctively NOT Greek, but he opts to not comment on it. Rachel did a good job.

There’s more in her little studio, they both dismiss them as dreams. They make Rachel uncomfortable and Percy feels bile rise the more he looks.

He doesn’t realize until months later. It hits him while on the Argo. Him, Jason, Clarisse. THEY were the heroes in those paintings. Jason was the one coming to Hera’s aid. Clarisse was mourning Selina. He was fighting giants.

It all clicked into place, and he tried to remember what else her paintings for-told.

all this olympic content got me thinking about swimmer!percy

swimmer!percy who starts competing in his high school because his teacher recommended it to him

swimmer!percy who becomes the most rated athlete in his school because he ALWAYS wins

swimmer!percy who finishes in like record time and everyone’s confused because that’s like an olympic record he just broke and he didn’t even break a sweat

swimmer!percy who does so well in regionals he makes it to nationals

swimmer!percy who started this for fun but somehow ended up at paris 2024 summer olympics and is going wild over some chocolate muffins with that one norwegian swimmer

swimmer!percy rates the chocolate muffins 9/10 though but only because they’re not blue.

swimmer!percy who accidentally qualifies for every olympics after that and somehow breaks his own records each year.

I think we as a society didn’t dwell enough on the fact that in tsats’ dream sequence Nico saw Kronos (child eater terrifying titan) and his first thought was about how tall and gorgeous William was.

Headcannons!

Nico does gymnastics- he's super flexible.

Will is the complete opposite-stiff as wood but strong.

Jason (who is definitely not dead) loves teamwork games- football (soccer for the americans) basketball, rugby, volleyball, cricket, etc.

Sally and Paul legally adopt Jason and Thalia, and Jason stays in Percy's room when he goes to college.

Annabeth used to read Artemis Fowl and got a lot of tricks from the books.

Nico likes to play DnD, and is always pestering Hades to play with him.

Nico learns how to braid afro hair for Hazel, and does cute braids for her whenever she visits camp.

Leo and Calypso break up and part as friends (manifesting for a future book)

Jason and Leo get together (more manifesting)

Rachel is pan or ace.

Nico and Rachel are beasties, and he goes over to her house to listen to Olivia Rodrigo and MGK

For Will relief he hasn't died yet and Thanatos isn't here to collect his soul, but he's really confused right now, the death himself heard his prayers and now is here to... Have a talk with him??

turns out that the god in front of him is also Hades son-in-law and chose to give some advise to the new family's addition because he sympathises with the poor guy.
