oh this is the DREAM, especially on a chilly winter day

the fact that there's a presence next to you when you wake up is strange enough already- normally Childe is up and out of the house long before the sun rises, being a Harbinger and all- but the surprise sets in quick as a whip when you open your eyes and see Foul Legacy instead. you gasp, startled, and jump back, landing unceremoniously on the hardwood floor with a thud, and Legacy lets out a concerned yelp, quickly rushing over to help you back to your feet. at this point you haven't had a lot of interactions with Childe's Abyssal half, but his claws clasp your hands delicately, touch feather-light as he chirps apologetically, gently nudging his head under your chin

Legacy practically lights up when you hug him in return, tugging you back into bed and curling his body around yours, his head in your lap. tentatively you begin to run your fingers through his soft coppery hair and he begins to purr, a strong rumbling from his chest that fills the entire room as you bundle yourself and the monster in your lap up in blankets again. after a moment Legacy's head pops out from under the covers, looking up at you with an adoring gaze, bumping against your hand like an affectionate cat asking for pats. a smile spreads across your face as you scritch behind his horns, Legacy tilting his chin up and purring blissfully, the room filling with warmth despite the biting chill of outside

Childe apologizes to you later- he truly didn't mean for that to happen, Foul Legacy took control of their shared body in his sleep because he missed you

so my dad was watching the show, and I recognized the people from your gifs and stuff so I said, “oh is there a character name Jamie?” Bc that was the only character remembered

and he laughed at me so hard. He repeated how the show was called Ted lasso and there’s no Jamie character and I was like. But there’s a character name Jamie right????? so I’m not sure what’s going on but he seemed to find it funny so you might as well and maybe I’m getting a head of myself and these are all different shows.

I still don’t know if “Jamie” is in Ted lasso

So... this isn't the first time I've had COVID but it is the first time I've lost partial smell and taste. I can still get base-level salty/sweet/sour, and hot/pepper apparently, but that's about it right now. I could smell some very strong things a couple days ago... I'm not positive that's true today?

I'm someone who struggles with regularly finding food appetizing at the best of times due to mental health stuff, so if anyone has tips for mitigating this when most of my go-to foods just taste like salt now, I would appreciate it. I already feel like I'm going to be spending a lot of grocery money on meal replacement shakes for a while.

Ya know, I said it offhandedly in the tags of the last post but I'm wondering what a Chica themed cookbook would include now. Pizza is the obvious one, same with cake and cupcakes. She has some canon stuff with something about chowder, Chica chug, Chica bites, uhhhh the uhhh skinny taco from Help Wanted 2, lemon Chicabars, the blendee, and whatever else she normally has I dunno. Her Fizzy Faz flavour is pink lemonade so there's that too...

She's then got the whole mazercise thing, so fruit smoothies and just general stuff with fruit is probably gonna work. Obviously she's a chicken, so there's that too.

Honestly, I can see her having a cake section where she tells the recipes to her friend's favourite cakes. So the obvious would be carrot cake for Bonnie then I dunno a lemon lime cheesecake for Monty or something?

I think the thing about a Chica cookbook is that it's just so easy to visualise and work with that it would be kind of hard to get it wrong, and yet, this isn't a real thing that exists for some reason??

it gets quite cold and cloudy in Liyue during the winter, the sky taken up by either rain or occasionally sleet, which means hazardous conditions as you walk to work but more importantly, NO SUNLIGHT. no sunlight means there are no warm sunrays coming through your windows, which means that Foul Legacy cannot take any sunbathing naps!! it's very distressing, Legacy adores the sun almost as much as he loves you, and every day of winter is spent hidden under blankets or snuggled up against you for extra warmth and comfort, burying his face against the crook of your neck with a despairing whine. neither of you are Pyro wielders either, so you're limited to just holding your Abyssal beast tightly as his soft fur fluffs up to its limit

that is, until a friend (Zhongli) suggests that you make Legacy a heated light source! you suspect it's partially because he wanted to not have to deal with Hu Tao for a day, but it ends up going surprisingly well, minus a poor house plant that accidentally caught fire. Legacy is over the moon, trilling and chittering in delight as he immediately flops over, chilled blood slowly warming under the light- Hu Tao even gets to pet him a couple of times, he's so relaxed! and after she leaves he wastes no time, tugging you down and pulling you tight against his chest, rolling onto his back so he can stare up at you, blissfully drowsy and warm. you scritch behind his horns, and his only response is a deep, content purr as he bathes under the light of embers and flickering flames
