Okay, like I know, it's fantasy, but you know what bugs me about the like - specific kink trope of "Shrinking is a virus and now shrunken people are treated like shit"?

There is always no world building. Or the most lack luster so the author can get straight into the kink part they wanna do. Like, yes, I get it. You want to get directly into giant people torturing small people for your domination kink. Let's ignore that for a minute and tell me the ins and out of your world. What's the contagion rate? Is there a vaccine? Why is it only affecting XYZ of the population? If they're deemed pests, why are they still out in public? Do they have to pay taxes? If it's contagious, why would anyone wanna risk being *near* them, let alone doing noncon stuff to them? What conspiracy theories came out of it? Are there people who believe it to be a hoax? Are there long term side effects?

I know Downsizing was not a hit for a lot of GT people but I fucking ATE UP the world building they did. I want a TV series that shows off every part of that world. I wanna see the long term effects

Like - I am not into this trope unless it's horror but unfortunately I have been in multiple parts of this community for almost 18 years now and it still bothers me when I'm browsing for things to read and come across it.

he does however haunt the narrative by the ambiguity his position in the group brings, by not escaping his family's curse yet bringing about change in both his family' situation and in Fushi's perspective, by being enough to make Fushi not immediately bristle to the thought of Hayase's bllodline, by being the one Hayase descendant we saw Fushi ever transform into. He's by admission not smart enough to be a knocker's ally, yet his last move is to outsmart both Fushi's enemies and the knocker. He's both remembered in a worse light by those who lived with him and in a better light by Fushi who couldn't trust him yet feels responsible for his suicide. Also his character design, as all Hayase's reencarnations do, rocks

yet. YET. This is all neatly wrapped inside a cringe yandere-in-training who doesn't like Fushi's friends and his every word is tailored to make you feel embarrassed. He's like 17, learned all he knows about love from books and after he lent those for Fushi to read, made a marriage proposal. How do I even come back from this.

Alright, the parseltongue thing has me curious.

How do you think Harry's first meeting with all the other Astoria LI's go?

Harry doesn’t hiss at Medusa as much as he does to Hydra (what with the cap on her power) but he does occasionally fall into it. The first thing he ever says to her is “You’re pretty” in Parseltongue and Medusa adores him from that moment forward.

Hades is odd around Harry and none of them know why least of all Hades himself… at first anyway. It’s kind of like how Hades was with Andy, seeing her mother laid over her every movement but not quite. It’s something older. Something familiar. Something that hurts as much as it seems to heal. Immortality is strange like that. The wheel turns ever onwards even if those left alive don’t recognize it at first.

Cerberus (and his brothers) adore Harry okay. Cerberus ends up having to babysit during an emergency once and the two of them become besties immediately. He doesn’t know why a sleepy Harry calls his aura Padfoot, but he does feel at ease with the kid like he only has with Hades or his brothers. He doesn’t know why.

Chimera also gets a bit of the hissing treatment though again not as much as Hydra. He is also not nearly as fluent in Parsel as the other two and is a bit lost frankly. He is mostly amused by this little kid and is very good at encouraging Harry and not letting him get spooked when he does something magical.

Astraeus (as much as I love him) wouldn’t be like A Thing™️ in this one as it follows the Alex route unless the rebuilt H.E.R.A. tried to make peace between the titan children and the gods way down the line which would be funny because he would be mystified by the godling that stands at his parent’s elbows even when most of the pantheon have pulled back from H.E.R.A.
