there should totally be a survey about trans[modal], trans[not binary], trans[somegender else/null/genderless], transfem and/or transmasc experiences, all in one survey for the sake of including people who are transfem and transmasc... [c]afab tfem/[c]amab tmasc, intersex tfem/intersex tmasc & perisex female tfem/perisex male tmasc inclusive. just for any and all trans experiences, for people to talk about it.

i think it would be very enriching and results could/would most definitely help with the understanding of fellow experiences as well as strengthening the bonds of the trans community. i think the majoeity of the issues in this community are based on things like RADICALIZATION, ANTI-TRANS PROPAGANDA, BIOESSENTIALISM, A LACK OF UNDERSTANDING and generally not putting yourself in someone's shoes, either by choice or because one cant do it.

in general, i think this would be very lovely for the trans community. in fact, it should also be inclusive og GNC/cistrans people, because yhe transing ones own gender has many different ways of happening, be it innermost or outermost. all trans experiences should be cherished, i think, so this would definitely give light to a lot of things.

for the survey, there would be a blog for it (that some big blog could help with sharing around), and people would be able to submit their stories in the survey and choose if its okay to share. anonymity choices, tagging for stories that may be triggering or otherwise visceral, and much more.

i think it would be very good. very helpful. very good for the strength of trans unionship. please feel free to make any additions to this or tell me what you think!

Transgengen Pride Flag

Transgengen (transgendergender), transgengender (transgendergen), or transgendre: experiencing or using transness as a gender; when transgender is one's gender.

Trans is usually not one's gender identity, instead it's typically classified as a gender modality or a descriptor (modifier/specifier/identifier) of one's experience between AGAB and current/actual gender (or their desired gender, for those who feel they didn't achieve their gender yet).

The term may be useful for transemphatic individuals. The "counterpart" could be transmodal (but that's ample too).

New Mutants: War Children one-shot

Back in the early-ish days of the original New Mutants, the young alien Warlock is having a SERIOUS panic attack as he realises that his destiny means that he will have to grow up to replace his parent, Magus by killing him, and in doing so will have to eliminate all emotional attachments, including his all friends in the New Mutants.

His panic gets a little out of hand and as well as blowing up half the school he starts lashing out in fear, infecting his friends with transmode virus including Magik, which is a VERY bad idea as it means she goes all Darkchylde, but now with a terrifying technorganic twist!

Things go badly for the team after this with nearly everyone being infected by Warlock's virus and Illyana going full on demonic evil

And there end up being only two left Wolfsbane and Cypher...

.. the two members of the team with the lowest self images as regards superpowers.

Also, Doug bringing the queer subtext of his relationship with Warlock like a champ Plus him being able to speak with Rahne in her wolf form is a new addition to canon, but makes sense given his powers.

And then...

Warlock is at his most terrifying, Doug is at his most scared but, brave little SOB that he is, he still faces off against him, completely unarmed and defenceless, except for his absolute love for, and trust in, Warlock

And his trust is rewarded.

I love that Doug's first response is to ask what's wrong with his friend.

Oh yeah, these two are toegther for the long haul (and so it proved to be)

Time Is a Flat Stepping Disc Part 89 The Illyana Rasputin timeline issue by issue

New Mutants #47 Teleporting everyone out to survive Magus's attack took a lot out of Illyana, but the demons of Limbo show that she has earned their respect as their queen and perform a ritual of restoration for her. Still though, when taking the team back to Earth, Illyana doesn't realize they have shifted in time, and though it's nice to be in a period where her swordfighting skills are appropriate, of course the Mutants need to get home--which is complicated when it turns out Magus has infected Limbo with the transmode virus.
