Moscato Punch
12 servings
Moscato wine is sweet and originally comes from Italy.  This punch is very tasty and is both sweet and tart.
Ingredients
1 (750 ml) bottle of sparkling Moscato wine, chilled
6 ounces of pink lemonade a bit thawed
1 cup lemon-lime soda, chilled
2 tablespoons truvia (or other sweetener)
Garnish: Frozen raspberries (optional)
Directions:
Add the sparkling Moscato wine to a large pitcher, followed by the pink lemonade, lemon-lime soda and truvia. Stir to mix the ingredients.
Before serving add some frozen raspberries to the drink if desired. Frozen fruit is preferred to ice as it does not dilute the punch and won’t water it down.
Note:
Sweeten to your taste.

Sitting in class where you’re learning about sugar and sugar substitutes and realizing you might know more than the Professor because you gave a talk on different types of sugar substitutes and how they affect the making of sugar cookies at 11 years old and she’s not giving all the information.
Honey makes super soft sugar cookies but they’re so sticky. Agave nectar cookies are gross. Sugar sugar cookies are the basic and Splenda ones have an aftertaste that is bad.

Easy Energy Balls
2 cups Old Fashioned rolled oats
½ cup creamy peanut butter (no sugar added, or any nut butter or sunflower butter for nut free)
⅓ cup honey (or agave syrup for vegan) OR 2 spoonfuls of Truvia Monk Fruit Spoonable Jar
¼ teaspoon kosher salt
¼ teaspoon cinnamon
¼ cup vanilla or chocolate protein powder (optional; we use this one)*
3 tablespoons mini chocolate chips
Mix all ingredients together in a bowl. Freeze the bowl for 5 minutes.
Roll the dough into 20 small balls, pressing the dough together with your hands. We used a 1 1/2-inch cookie scoop (#40) to make uniform balls. You can also make smaller balls if desired. (If the texture of your nut butter makes the dough very dry, add a little more honey or a few tablespoons milk of choice until you can press it together into a ball shape.) Refrigerate for up to 2 weeks. Enjoy!

Acid Reflux Smoothie
1 serving
This is a very thick yet tasty smoothie that can prevent excess acid from being produced in your stomach and thereby can act to prevent heartburn.  These ingredients actively fight acid reflux.
Ingredients:
1/3 cup old fashioned oats
¾ cup almond unsweetened milk
¼ cup plain Greek yogurt
¼ cup baby spinach
1 banana, frozen and cut in chunks (before freezing)
½ pear
1/8 teaspoon ginger powder
½ teaspoon truvia (sugar substitute)
Directions:
Place the oats in a food processor.  Pulse until the oats are reduced to a powder.
In a blender add the milk, yogurt, spinach, banana chunks, pear, oats, ginger powder, and truvia.  Blend until smooth and creamy.  This might take a couple minutes or more depending on your blender.
In a glass, pour in the smoothie from the blender and enjoy!
Note:
Bananas need to be peeled and cut before freezing them as it is not possible to peel or cut them once they are frozen.
If you don’t like bananas substitute dates.
If you want the smoothie thinner add more milk.
Sweeten the smoothie to your taste.

I'm going to rant because I'm just so frustrated about all those things they make for flavoring your water...and how I can not use them.
Because I have this interesting thing called Dermatographism - Meaning "write on skin" which is a histamine reaction in my skin cell walls. I'm part of the 5% of people or so that have it. When it is in a flare up it makes my skin itchy, and makes it so if I get any kind of scratch/pressure on my skin it will cause a welt for a few to several minutes where it is very itchy and red.
What is one of the things that causes flare ups of this? Sucralose. That fake sugar that every sugar free/zero sugar/less sugar item seems to have. I just want some flavor in my water. I can have the sugar and calories, but no one seems to make any without sucralose. Sucrose, glucos, etc are all fine. I can have sugar and even most other sweetners are fine..but sucralose, the most common for like every low calorie drink ever...makes me itch. Stevia/Truvia also makes me itch, but that is less important.
I have not been able to find something to flavor my water since I have a hard time drinking plain water about 70% of the time....I hydrate via tea, gatorade, milk, juice, broth, etc. Water is something I can only comfortably drink in small quantities or feel water logged/bloated for some reason. I need some flavor, but I can not find anything I can safely add. I just need to add some lemon juice or like....something to make it easier to drink. I wanted to use Mio or one of those...but no. They do not make those sucralose free. So I get to be here sad.

7/20/23 Food Diary
I forced myself to eat a little more today because I was feeling faint and shakey, and I didn’t want my metabolism to fall too much, but I’m still in a deficit, so it should be ok! I made some protein “cookie dough” for lunch, and it was pretty good! I only wish I had some cookies and cream protein powder left because I think that would taste better than just vanilla.
Lunch: 260
PB2 powder 120 kcal
Vanilla protein powder 68 kcal
Chocolate chips 72 kcal
Truvia sweetener 0 kcal
Dinner: 680
Alfredo pasta 610 kcal
Garlic bread 70 kcal
Snack: 51
Pickles 51 kcal
Total: 991
-280 exercise
Net: 711
Sometimes eating a little more is a good thing! I’m trying to convince this to myself too, and it’s hard, but when you restrict really low your metabolism can slow down a lot and burn less fat. Remember to drink tons of water (I usually average 8-10 cups a day including black coffee—I just don’t log it), and eat a little more if you feel really faint! Skinny is the goal, but we still need to take care of our bodies!

going to do my best to not eat until dinner and try to omad my burger and two beers so i can actually enjoy it because last night was not comfortable and i could barely sleep i was so anxious over how much i ate yesterday since i had the kefir with some cheerios and a banana so i could stop worrying about sh*tting myself !!!
but i was still worried about it so i got up for the bathroom at least 12 times in the night and couldn’t get comfortable because i could feel food in my stomach and ughhh
so plan today is: coffee with nutpods creamer and my new brown sugar truvia + either an orange or something else small (under 50 cals) at around 11 am, take my magnesium, vitamin d and allergy pill with that. drink lemon slice tea after that to help my blood sugar hopefully and then start drinking green tea and peppermint tea during the day until burgers at around 5 to 6 pm, then start my fast for the night and actually follow thru this time
