As good as DuckTales 17 is, what is one thing you would change about it? I’ve noticed that its fanbase, while passionate, can be critical. Not overwhelmingly pretentiously critical like Star Wars fans, thank god. Critical out of love is more like it.

I'm actually one of the more forgiving fans of this show's flaws, because for what it was, it was a great reboot that exceeded my expectations when I first saw the promo art to it. It's a fun watch and got me hooked enough to make this blog.

That being said.

This may seem obvious but, the one thing I would change about the show is I would give it more seasons. As fun a ride as The Last Adventure was, it was obvious that there were still a lot of stories, character arks and adventures the show could have covered that it sadly didn't have the chance to because of its cancelation. I know that's not the show runners fault, more so the execs of the company that owns it.

It's not like the show isn't profitable or popular, or why else would there still be active fan discords of it, why have a DuckTales globe trotting event thrown in Epcot, why have the DT characters (specifically the 2017 version) be a prominent part of the chibiverse cast? (I have my own hangups about the chibiverse show)

There's still a market for the Duckverse otherwise the DarkWing Duck reboot wouldn't still be greenlit.

I'd at the very least like to get more DuckTales stories in comic or graphic novel form, there's still so much material and lore to explore.

I've already told some friends how much I'd love to see a graphic novel series on Isabella Finch's adventures. Have a narration from her published book play over the scenes or be written in the corners of the panels and show how things really happened in the scenes. Show more child Bradford, show us how Isabella really was. Give us an Interesting look at the characters and a great Indiana Jones or G rated Venture bros parody.

Give us more character growth arcs for some of the side characters that didn't get resolved in the show. Show us who Huey Dewey and Louie's Dad is and what happened to him. Show us how Scrooge and Webby handle the new biological father/daughter dynamic they both just found out about.

I guess what I'm really trying to say is, GIVE US MORE DUCKTALES, IGER!

#i almost said it was crazy there was none but actually it unfortunately makes sense #people are too obsessed with buck and his traumas and whatnot to switch it up #which isnt necessarily a bad thing buuuut #i just noticed people often take other characters traumas slash storylines and give it to buck...#anyways think of the bobby and athena angst here #newly engaged bathena and bobby gets horribly injured #would he heal similar to how buck did or would his be much harder and maybe a worse outcome #would he be lucky to keep his leg or go back to work ...#its like his back injury all over again #this is just constantly on my mind like the freddie storyline could have been more #he was actively trying to kill bobby and athena....#could have easily turned into a jonah like plot where he kidnaps them both ... or one of them as leverage for the other...#or if there was more confrontation between them...#anyways this is a missed opportunity guys #if i could get my shit together and write this would be on the list but the chances of that happening are slim #cursed to come up with interesting ideas but no ability to write them ...#bobby nash #athena grant #bathena

me after attempting to get back into sims and realizing i had a lot more to do than play the game

#hi everyone #I’m going around hugging you all #okay now that we are gathered here today #i will simply acknowledge that i have been gone for a very long time and then also acknowledge that maybe it was for the best #i relied on sims to be my only creative activity even if i tried to write a book at the same time #and also. i prioritized sims over real life responsibilities. that’s just a deadly combination lol #but I recently noticed I just replaced sims with Netflix. with YouTube. with anything that gave me quick dopamine #literally became addicted in a sense. still am but I’ve been cut cold turkey from most everything #I get off work and go. okay I’ve done the dishes and the laundry……..I could read or write or bake….#I try to write and sometimes i get a good hour #then I read for a few hours and then get tired of it #and I made cookies Tuesday so I’m waiting for those to be gone before baking again #I’m just so pitiful that I feel BORED and don’t know what to do #so I said….. okay what if I do sims for an hour.#I downloaded some new cc Tuesday and tried to play yesterday #y’all ……………….. I can’t find the energy anymore to set up elaborate scenes and pose my sims and plan posts #I said wow… this is boring without my intervention and fake story #I said wow…….. all this for what? for tumblr? yes I created cool things and provided joy. but is that inherintly important compared to my #own joy? my own everyday activities I should be doing?#y’all I do not leave the house unless we got out to eat or shop or travel to our parents #.. I have little desire to. I’m trying to find that desire #but my husband is busy with grad school and work and I don’t want to do anything by myself #I’ve found myself in one heck of a slump #I didn’t want to be human for awhile. just had no desires no interests no ambitions #I was slacking off SO HARD at work. I just had no drive to do well #I’m still working on it. I’m still trying to get caught up. I’m still trying to force myself to move every day.#but I am struggling y’all. and I can tell you that sims… sims isn’t helping rn but I want it to so bad. I want to get back into it #I didn’t mean to disappear on everyone. I got married and then life got busy and then I fell into this hole of nothing #I didn’t even WANT to crawl my way out. but my husband has helped a lot. having busuu explain cases without actually explaining cases is kind of wild to me. like yes this is dative. this just makes sense to me, a person who speaks a heavily case-dependent language. however hearing it explained as "we are performing and receiving the action of looking into the mirror" is like. well i suppose this is correct yes but what a way to phrase it

the worst part of this job is client interaction because i can really be out here asking y/n questions and my client will literally tell me every single thing EXCEPT the answer to my question

#i am AT MY LIMIT AGAIN MY DUDES #all i wanted to know from my client was 1) is there a problem with the tenants vacating because i am getting the vibe it's a Problem #and 2) if there is no problem when is the move-out date #this is just so i can draft this stupid settlement deed right #it's all information i need like if i could do without this i WOULD just so i wouldn't have to claw information out of my client-#-like it's killing him to tell me things that i actually have to know to be able to do the work he's engaged me to do #and he went on a whole spiel about how he's going to take opposing counsel to the law society like ?????????????????#buddy can we go one step at a time #that side track went on for almost ten mins and i was actively trying to turn the convo back!!! but we got back to the main issue!!#and i PRY that information out of him by baiting him to answer like i'm fucking cross-examining at trial #and come to this conclusion that it sounds like the tenants ARE vacating on the 29th #to attempt to get a firm answer i go 'okay so the tenants WILL vacate that's what you're telling me?? there's no problem??'#and he said 'under the tenancy act we can't force them to leave'#WHAT DOES THIS MEAN #BUDDY YOU'RE KILLING ME #what's a nice law job where i don't have to talk to people #work stories #sarah talks about herself
