you sigh, putting your phone down and rubbing your temples. dating as an idol is so tiring and sometimes you honestly forget why you even try. but you love your boyfriend so much. beomgyu is your good friend and sometimes you fail to remember to be sneaky when hanging out. even small things like going out to eat together makes fans assume you’re madly in love. this isn’t the first time you’ve been roped into media with beomgyu and you’re certain it won’t be the last. 

with your swift rise to fame, you’ve had many dating scandals in your time. what pisses chan off the most is the fact that it’s never been him that you’ve had a scandal with. you’ve gone out on many public dates before and no one has ever picked up on the fact that you’re together. he even kissed you in the view of a sasaeng one time and they didn’t notice. he wonders if it’s intentional on the media’s part or if they’re seriously just that oblivious. 

you run your hand through your hair, trying to fathom why the general public knowing about your relationship is so important to him. everyone within the industry knows so why does everyone else have to? relationships can ruin idol reputations and he doesn’t seem to care. maybe it’s because you’re both already so big that he’s not worried? or he’s hoping your fans are just accepting enough to be okay with it?

after a late night at dance practice you finally get the time to check your phone. you know chan had a fansign today so you decide to check on some of his fan accounts. you smile as you’re met with cute photos of him posing with gifts from fans. you find lots of updates on things he said as well. his current favorite movies, foods, tv shows and… songs. of course he mentions you. it’s cute that he listens to your music and likes to promote you to fans. 

you jump as you realize sana is perched over your shoulder, reading your text messages. “he’s gonna get in trouble when people realize he keeps talking about you,” she comments, clicking her tongue. you sigh dramatically, slouching your shoulders. “that’s what he wants.” suddenly all your members are gathered around you, confused as to what you’re talking about. “i got into another scandal with beomgyu and chan is jealous that it’s not him. so he’s putting in extra effort to try and get people to assume things.” your members share a weird look between them before turning back to you. “i think you should go on the most public date ever and make sure everyone knows you’re with lee chan of seventeen,” lily smiles brightly at you. this comment shocks you a little but you agree. 

“will you guys help me set up a giant celebration at the restaurant under our dorm?” you ask and they all agree excitedly. you all rush to get back to your dorm, eager to plan an extravagant dinner for you and your boyfriend. you talk to the owners of the restaurant and they agree to vacate the restaurant for you. they even promise to make food on the house. your girls help you pick the perfect outfit, hair and makeup for the event. they even “accidentally” tell a well known media outlet that you have plans for tomorrow and they should be there.

you sit in eager anticipation waiting for your boyfriend to show up. you can see a photographer out of the corner of your eye, waiting for something to happen. you hear the backdoor open and chan walks in, confidence filling his every step. your eyes fall on the suit he chose for tonight. he left his blazer undone, showing off that the buttons resting on his chest were begging to burst open.

the two of you eat your food happily, the atmosphere feeling very comfortable. your share anecdotes from your lives as idols, laughing that the ridiculousness of your respective companies. before long, your meal is coming to an end. chan gives you a look you know all too well and you’re quick to scurry away, up the stairs and to your dorm. your boyfriend follows swiftly behind you after thanking all the staff.

Big Ol' Rottmnt Fic Rec List

Hi, I've needed to do this for a while, so here's a big bundle of fic recs from me !

I've broken it down between one shots, chaptered fics, and series. I'll try to mention what the character focus is along with a brief summary and some personal thoughts. If you need more details I encourage you to check the fics summary and tags for yourself! I will only include an author's tumblr account if it's easy for me to find haha

One Shots

Mama's Boy - ashtreelane: Technically two chapters but it feels like a one shot. Casey Jr. angst, involving him finding out that maybe you can fix kraang infections and that he failed to save his mother. I love when people really pile the grief on Junior after all the fighting is over and the fic does it so well.

Forget-Me-Nots - GibbousLunation (AKA @klunkcat ): Hi, oh my god??? Leo and Mikey centric angst, in which saving Leo from the prison dimension has an insane ripple effect. Mikey dying? Nah he's going to start getting erased from every timeline and Leo slowly watches it happen (and refuses to do nothing about it). I utterly adore how this fic handles this concept. You see almost all of it from Leo's POV, noticing the little changes but writing them off as memory failures, because of how subtle some of it is.

Fight or Flight - pickledcarrotsandradish: Leo centric, post movie, Leo keeps waiting for his family to start lecturing him about all the dumb stuff he did during the invasion, and they aren't, so it's getting to him. A very neat narrative about how self loathing can warp our perception of how others see us. A++++

The Friend Zone Sounds Pretty Good, Actually - Cryptvokeeper: Eating this, eating this. You probably already know I love aroace Leo and this fic is an INCREDIBLE exploration of that. Even as just an ace person it hit SO many notes where I was just like "Oh god... I've been there buddy". And as a bonus the dynamic between Leo and Yuichi is v sweet. Love this a lot I've read it like five times.

Pink in The Night - unnamedmystery: Incredible April/Sunita fic. Like seriously this author wrote April's crush so well I think I was starting to fall in love with Sunita. Just incredibly cute all the way through, and great April writing, adore it.

《 until then, matriarch 》 - chiangyorange: HI OH MY GOD A nice chunky oneshot about Karai, about her being a leader, and it's phenomenal. It hits and hits and does not miss, really going in depth about her emotions involving her father turning into something wicked and having to destroy him, and how it ruins all of her good memories.

The Kindness of Collision - SpoonerizedSwiftness (AKA @splickedylit ): Hi I still remember the fic and the art suddenly showing up in the tag and then I was thinking about it for the next like five weeks aslkdjf A very interesting idea that when the turtles reach the age they were in the doomed timeline before things got reset, all the memories of their other life more or less hit them like a train. All of them have to comb through that information and it's a wonderful and emotional ride.

Chaptered Fics

Hamartia - Punable (in progress): Hi this is one of my all time favorite rise fics, mainly because in a way, it helped me come to terms with my chronic pain. It's Donnie centric and smack full of angst in all the best ways. Shorthand summary, an explosion in Donnie's lab almost takes him out (or kind of DOES take him out) and the recovery is not only long and agonizing, it may only go so far, and Donnie doesn't cope well with that.

Kick It Up a Notch - Brokenpitchpipe (completed): Hi this is my other all time fav rise fic. Donnie centric separated AU in which Donnie is raised by Draxum. My love for it stems a lot from the characterization of Donnie though, and even Draxum in this case. Not to mention that in a lot of cases it matches the vibes of the show. And in spite of all the humor, there's a few really gut wrenching moments. 10/10 will re-read.

Lightning in Our Fingertips Today - DaFlangsLairde (AKA @daflangstlairde-art) (completed): Leo and Donnie centric, mostly angst, with body swapping between the twins which results in Donnie finding out that Leo's ninpo hurts him. Love love love the character writing in this, and also how the swap is written.

Under Pressure - ParvumAutomaton (completed): Not sure this is a single character focused fic, but basically April goes cave diving and is out for a while, and the turtles get worried and go looking for her. This might be personal bias but as someone who gets really into caving stories, this fic hits the spot for so many reasons. A really great emotional ride, and if you wanna see April go through it then I super recommend it.

Nothing Haunts Us (like the things we don't say) - mad_and_thick_as_theives (completed): A lot of great fics by this author btw, but this one personally stood out to me. It starts of silly and light only to sweep in with the emotional weight. Turtles are all cursed with a truth spell, basically, but I think my favorite bit is who gets out of it first (and why). V sweet.

Creation of a Philospher's Stone - IgnisCanis (completed): Whoooo boy, if you want some Draxum centric character exploration this is a great one. It really fleshes him out as a morally grey character and also does a fantastic job at writing Mikey when he finds out.

The Ol Switcheroo - radishhqueen (AKA @radishhqueen) (completed): Haha not going to lie I have a few by this author (so I'll only tag them once) but MAN. Hands down my favorite take on future leo coming to the past, and maybe I'm biased because I like when those fics actually explore Junior's character in the process buuuuut I love it. Junior's already struggling to adapt himself to the present, and after getting caught up in a foot clan spell which summons his sensei to the present too it really doesn't get any easier.

Vigilantism for Fun and Profit - radishhqueen (completed): The Cassandra Jones fic ever. Zero contest. If you're uncertain about writing Cassandra because she had so little development in the show I encourage you to read this for inspiration (I know it inspired me a lot). It does such a great deep dive into her character post show and a bit of the movie too. Honestly anytime radishh has a Cassandra fic I am clicking.

Tried to Grow Up Good - Sroloc_Elbisivni (AKA @sroloc--elbisivni )(completed): The Casey Jr. fic ever. CRAZY in love with this post movie take on him. It's messy, it's fun, it's so so real and you get a good chunk of Casey Sr. in here too. Adore it.

Hold On (Or Three Times Donatello's Soft Shell Almost Killed Him, and One Time it Saved His Life) - dunk_on_em (AKA @spockazilla )(completed): If you ever want a bit of angst involving Donnie's shell this is my go to. Every chapter has an emotional swing, even the positive ones. And shows something most people might see as a disadvantage as a good thing, actually.

Atlas, My Brother - swampcryptid (AKA @the-name-is-rizzotherat)(in progress): Get your Raph angst, specifically involving him always shielding his siblings, this time via a curse. My guy is already going through it and I think it'll get worse if a solution isn't found.

I've Got You Under My Skin - Cass_Phoenix (in progress): More Raph angst, and some Donnie, a truly chilling exploration of the possible consequences to connecting with the kraang. This fic constantly has me on the edge of my seat, and constantly stressing for Raph.

What We Leave Behind (How We Start Anew) - iam57311 (AKA @iam-57311)(in progress): Any Baronjitsu fans here? An alternate take on canon in which Draxum and Splinter co-parent the kids since they're first born (made?) Hilariously while I love the Baronjitsu content in here, I think some of my favorite parts are actually with the sisters, Big Mama, and Draxum's sister who is so so cool I love her.

Proof of Redemption - iam57311 (complete): Another one of theirs! A short and sweet lil close to canon fic about Draxum steadily gaining the trust and affection of the Hamatos, with each chapter focused on a different character. I love how they're all paced out from each other, really hits how some are much slower than others to trust Draxum hehe.

No Crime* Only Brooches - OllieTheScribe (AKA @olliethescribe) (in progress): Well I have to get THE HypnoWarren fic in here. Such a fun take on these characters, I love love love the backstory they built up for Warren too, plus the dynamic between these two and the turtles after (eventually) become friends haha.

Minor Interference - bambiraptorx (AKA @bambiraptorx) (in progress): What can I say? This fic is delightful. Between the hilarity of the turtles going with Draxum just to mess with him, the lore additions for yokai and the Hidden City, HoH Donnie, and their slowly building dynamic, always eager for a new chapter with this one.

Series

A Butterfly with a Mechanical Wing - Amethyst_Goldenwind (AKA @amethystgoldenwind ): Donnie centric series about being a non-verbal autistic. I'm always fond of non-verbal/mute explorations of characters, and so far I really like how, because his family has grown up with it, all of it is very normal for them. The various forms of communication are delightful. Excited to see further entries.

Analogous Hues - alwerakoo (AKA @alwerakoo): It's a separated AU with similar titling themes as my own, needed to check it out. The titles are just about all they have in common though! This AU focuses a lot on the turtles (Raph and Leo with Splinter and Donnie and Mikey with Draxum). I love how this explores not only the dynamics of the two groups and how different they are, but also the dynamics between each of the siblings, also how some magic sibling connections can influence that. Not to mention the different home life in more ways than one. If you're into separated AUs that really dig into the turtles dynamics try this one out !

I think the mashup comes down to: I'm still on that trapeze, still trying everything to get you looking at me, but if I roll the stone away, they're gonna crucify me anyway.

The basic story of the combined songs is relatively simple in that: you are doing everything you can to get someone's attention, because you need it in every way possible and are not getting it. I want you to laugh with me, I want you to look at me, I want you to touch me, I want you to pay attention to me, I want you to love me.

I'm going through my archives from that night and lol the posts still make me laugh. First of all this one isn't not true lol. But also, if you want to dig deeper into the story told in the mashup, there are a couple of ways to take it. On the surface, it could be a story about attracting the attention of, say, the masquerade reveller when you feel like you've been ignored. (Hence the linked post lol.)

But on a larger scale, it could also be the story of trying and trying and trying to get someone to pay attention to you, to love you the way they used to, and when that fails, falling to the, well, interloper's glances. I had reblogged this post of Jaime's at the time and I think that still sums it up. And in my tags on that post I even said there was a pipeline between "trying everything to get you laughing at me" to "stopped trying to make him laugh, stopped trying to drill the safe" which is such a gut punch if you think about it-- but that's also outside of this mashup haha. BUT it's all part of the same continuum of being ignored and feeling unwanted, and what to do you do when you feel like you've exhausted everything you could possibly do to get your loved one to see you? Well, you start directing those efforts elsewhere, especially when someone else is giving you the attention that eludes you at home.

On the night I posted:

“Spinning in my highest heels, love, shining just for you” to “I dream of cracking locks, throwing my life to the wolves or the ocean rocks” is soooooooo 😵‍💫

and that reminder was a little ouchie 😩 And also reminds me of the contrast of, "when I break it's in a million pieces" to "what if I roll the stone away, they're gonna crucify me anyway" and "if long-suffering propriety is what they want from me, they don't know how you've haunted me so stunningly." Like, I am giving this everything I have to be the person you want me to be so that you can be the person I need you to be, but what happens when that's not enough? I shatter behind closed doors. (And then I start becoming someone else, for someone else.)

I totally forgot about this one (like I have most of the mashups lol) and this was so interesting to revisit!

Breaking But Not Yet Broken - Psych, Shassie, M, ~8.1k, 2012

After being held captive and hurt, Carlton's relationship with Shawn starts getting complicated.

this was my first ever whump fic, and it was so fun to write that i have simply never stopped writing whump since lol. like, yes, technically this is me projecting on lassie for 8k words, but it is also an exploration of the loneliness of healing after trauma (even when someone went through the same traumatic event as you!) and allowing yourself to Be vulnerable when you already feel that all your defensive layers have been forcibly removed from you.

both shawn and lassiter are characters with a ton of these defenses, and they try to default back to them or find comfort in them (with mixed amounts of success) but even when they aren't working (and they can recognize that they aren't working), they can't simply Stop their bullshit.

Mistakes We Never Made (Until Today) - Psych, Shassie, E, ~3.6k, 2015

Things pick up from where they started. His marriage is on its last legs, and Shawn Spencer comes waltzing back into his life.

so this is a post-canon fic where happily-ever-after fails, the canon relationships break up (and it IS the men's fault to be clear; juliet and marlowe have never done anything wrong in their lives--), and these two decide to use each other to self destruct.

and i love it kdsjfksd. look. i love fluffy shassie. i love romantic shassie. i love slow burn shassie. but they are both capable of being such unrepentant assholes, and writing them being their worst selves is so much fun. an extreme vibe of 'bitter exes but they just started dating.'

everything lost - Good Omens (TV), Aziraphale/Crowley, Gabriel/Aziraphale (One-Sided, Abusive), E, ~33k, 2023

For two-thousand years, Aziraphale was sexually harassed and assaulted by the Director of Heavenly Operations. Years after Aziraphale and Crowley break free from Heaven and Hell entirely, Gabriel shows up on Aziraphale's front step with no clothes, no memories, no divine powers, and an inexplicable, unshakeable attachment to Aziraphale. Old and new trauma alike plague Aziraphale as he struggles to get rid of Gabriel without bringing the wrath of Heaven down on him and Crowley both.

i saw the GOs2 trailer and lost my mind. this plot bunny sprung forth from my mind fully formed like athena. she was written and published before the season dropped because i felt in my heart that gabriel would get a face-turn and people would get weird about dark!gabriel fics, and because i wanted it to be irrefutable that i knew nothing about the season before writing.

which didn't need to be a thing i was worried about at all lol. but i had a trailer, a poster, a feather duster, and a dream, and i made it work.

aziraphale whump, my beloved. love using aziraphale's kindness, pragmatism, and manners to keep him locked in a deeply unpleasant situation that's slowly whittling away at his nerves and sanity.

i also really love putting crowley in an outsider position. aziraphale hasn't told him what happened; it's supposed to be over. when crowley wakes up and starts to help him, the presumption is that they'll get this settled and then never see gabriel again, so what point is there in bringing up old hurt? i love writing crowley and aziraphale as a Team, but they spent 6k years pretending they aren't, and i like thinking about the residual habits that they're gonna have to work to get rid of.

Ash and Blood - Psych, Shassie, E, ~61k, 2015

A string of identical murders leads Lassiter down a dark and treacherous path.

in 2012 @inouken asked me to write a lassie vampire fic and i emerged three years later with a novel. like a normal person!

this is really long lassie whump with some shawn whump thrown in for spice. it could count as case fic, if you're good with knowing who the killer is in the first 5 chapters.

because this is one of zax's first wordcount monstrosities, i had a lot more room to play around with characters. shawn and lassiter's relationship develops fast, but i had more room for them to become serious about each other instead of it being right away immediately (even tho those feelings were already there). i played around with some OCs and tested them against the main ship. my biggest regret is not doing more with gus and juliet, but the bits of them that are in here really lead towards the strong relationships they have with their respective partners and are v in character and i'm proud of them.

but OVERALL i really love this fic. i feel like there's a good balance to psych humor vs being in lassiter's head (when babygirl is naturally grim and grumpy when he's Not dealing with suddenly dying and becoming a vampire), relationship fluff vs people dying and figuring out how to fight back, and developing an understanding of the OCs i introduced (feds and santa barbara vampires) and how they fit into finding/taking care of The Killer.

Lambs To The Slaughter - Good Omens (Book/TV), Aziraphale/Crowley, Lucifer/Aziraphale, E, ~142k WIP, 2019 - Present

An angel and a demon dance along the knife's edge of destruction together in an eternal waltz. The demon who had been Aziraphale and the angel who would be Crowley answer to powerful forces that care not for the individual cogs in their celestial machines. This will be their undoing.

twirling my hair, so this is lambs, my reverse omens fic where aziraphale is the sheep demon azram and crowley is the star-spinner seraph corvai. it's my pride and joy and wouldn't exist without @transfemmbeatrice for brainstorming, obsessing with me for YEARS, writing large portions of the middle-end and end with me, and making corvai and azram Real with me.

i go into many AUs with the mindset that i want to push my faves off script. i want them to still be recognizable as themselves, but i wanna see just how far i can twist them around the core of Who They Are.

and i went into lambs with the idea that i wanted azram to be someone terrible but not irredeemable. the idea that he would be simply 'evil' and written off as such didn't appeal to me. i wanted to ask Why a character like aziraphale (a blended form of book and tv; this is why god uses they/them pronouns to set them apart from both) would become harsh, cruel, possessive, sadistic, beyond just Falling and just Being that way after. and how to balance that with the softer parts of who aziraphale is (as said earlier in the bit about everything lost: kind, despite everything, and so capable of loving both crowley, humanity, and earth to his own detriment).

corvai is, similar to aziraphale, a good angel. she is what a good angel should be. unlike aziraphale, corvai is a punk with authority issues and a lot of anger at heaven, at god, and at themself. trade in canon crowley's anxiety for constantly simmering anger and a lack of experience dealing with demons other than azram that means corvai lacks crowley's defensive layers of cool. he's very open and earnest, even when he knows it's a quick way to getting hurt.

i originally wanted there to be some question about whether corvai was secretly raphael but i added the tag to clarify later that they're not. azram will take his time learning this, because azram is an idiot even though corvai, unlike the rest of the seraphim, cannot heal, and raphael is, famously, the healer.

i could keep going but i'm going to cut it off there bc this post is long enough and our power blinked so i'm scared if it'll even post and if you read this far, congrats! i'm sorry!

Her fics are always thrilling in their emotional rollercoaster, and never fail to warm my heart and make me just… feel with every fibre of myself. I absolutely love and crave that reading experience.

This fic is a quintessential example of that Peony experience:

George feels a wave of relief washing over him at the thought that he still has time, that he can still get his shit together and stop feeling so utterly broken every single moment of the day, and then maybe he will be good enough for Lee. Sometimes he feels like the pain and the loss have woven through every fibre of his being, that his whole body is made out of grief, raw and wretched beyond repair. But then Lee takes his hand, or he threads his fingers through George’s hair, whispering something that George can only feel against his skin, lost words that make him shudder and reach for Lee, to feel him there and have him close. Real.

21. If you wrote a “missing scene” in redux, what would it be?

scene of penguin & mr. freeze disposing of jason's body, maybe. :) the panicked 'oh fuck we actually killed him' and then having to get rid of his corpse quickly before the bats find out what happened.

idk. redux doesn't really have space for a missing scene, beyond an alt pov maybe. bruce was injured and forcibly benched in the batcave and that's why he was able to get on the plane that quickly. and i don't think i ever even allude to that in the fic so i suppose that's something i could explore!

26. Would you rather write a fic that had no dialogue or one that was only dialogue?

only dialogue i love dialogue dialogue is my favorite thing to write. sometimes when i'm drafting a scene i'll write the dialogue first and add in the tags and actions in post.

dialogue and conversation and communication. i adore that shit.

honestly i think trying to write a longer no dialogue fic could be interesting? one where you have multiple characters who are doing things... emphasizing nonverbal communication and motion and all of that. could be fun, but it would be a challenge, so i do prefer only dialogue at the end of the day.

30. Have you ever written something that was out of your comfort zone? If so, what was it, and how did it affect your approach to writing fic thereafter?

hmmmmm i'm not linking it (and it's not on ao3 anyway) but Under False Pretenses. it's a 27k wings of fire fanfiction about my ocs. it was the longest thing i've ever written, at that point, back in 2022 i think. i had it planned out completely and it dug into a terribly messy character dynamic (izula was a hivewing & psyche was a silkwing in a society where silkwings are functionally slaves, what they had was almost a romance but izula was actively serial murdering silkwings... lots going on in that fic.)

it was my first real foray into something longer than thousand word snippets. and i think it gave me a lot of confidence in knowing that i am capable of writing and planning longer things. that i can put together a worthwhile narrative.

it taught me a lot about how to plan out and write a fic i think. i made mistakes putting it together that means i'm not super proud of the final product but it was a big first for me.

40. Do you tend to reread fics or are you a one-and-done kind of person?

depends on the fic but i 100% do reread my favorites!! sometimes i'll dig back through longfics just to relive a specific scene if it sticks in my brain. this happens a lot with the climatic scenes of poisonivory's jayroy fics.

earliest batfam fic i found that i still go back and reread from is Bleed the Poison Out (What’s Left Behind?) i think. i'll just dip back in and read through chapter 5. i will warn you that this is a 'titan's tower was a murder attempt' pit-mad jason fic with associated fanon characterizations and tropes that i avoid nowadays. chapter 5 still does things to me emotionally. the author also wrote Aftermath which is a bruce & jason fic i will wholeheartedly rec in its entirety i love that thing <3

there's also Triple Red (wc x dc jayroy) but that is a feast best experienced in its entirety. all 80k words in one sitting or nothing. Stable Relationships is also a jayroy fic I've been rereading. we've barely even started this slowburn and i'm already obsessed. i'm starting to suspect i might like jayroy.

anyway i swear there are more that i'm failing to remember right now. i'll also reread my own fics. shamelessly. i love and adore you compound fracture i am thinking of you always compound fracture compound fracture you look stunning today.

answered here but since there are many fics that i admire forever...

i wont write like this because it's a certain level of meticulousness that i just know i'm not willing to dedicate the time to achieving, but hey it's time to mention door, opening again. the sheer level of detail in every single line... i am mesmerized. jason's knowledge and competence comes through in the narration simply because! he knows so much shit! on such a level of detail! out here naming specific muscle groups and chemical makeups and types of radio communication. absolutely incredible. the mere act of reading it made me feel smart.

and thank you for asking me about fics, truly!! i hadn't read any in so long and going through my bookmarks was a lot of fun. i was surprised how many i still remembered quite well even about a year later. and if you like a particular theme or trope or kind i would be genuinely delighted to find more for you ☺️ when i returned to spn fandom i spent a few months absolutely devouring as much new fic as i could find, but the sheer mass of what's out there can be quite daunting i think

as for deancas: i think it's worth a try, really!! i was hesitant at first because i dislike the tropey cheesy sort of destiel and so many fics are AUs which i don't enjoy, but i do have a soft spot for certain dark-ish ideas. the possession fic was exactly what i was looking for and the casifer fics were delicious (i have more of both of those tropes bookmarked if anyone is interested)

i actually remembered two more deancas fics i liked so i'm just taking this opportunity to link them dhsbdvdv (absolutely no pressure to read my recs ever, by the way!!)

12. longest fic you read this year- the stars and their children by bonesandthebees y'all this fic is sO HECKING GOOD also would you believe second and third place longest fics were. also by bonesandthebees. dskljdgklsh they do rly rly good stuff!!! one of the other runners-up was redstone and skulk by silverskye13, which, while like. fourth place length-wise, it is the next one to be written by someone other than bee XD (i am including it here speCIFICALLY so i can rec it because i am constantly in a state of yelling about it ever since i found it a couple weeks ago it's sO GOOD!!!!!! and i am GOING to do art for it i sWEAR-) (that and boatem knights au bc that is mentally vibrating me)

15. favourite headcanon of the year- hmmmm. i've been listening to martyn's secret life lore stream so i'm trying to think of things that aren't the mcyt lore i was literally just listening to, and like. trying to remember what fandoms i was even Actively Looking At Stuff For. splat3 came out this year, but all the lore stuff for that that isn't Strictly Canon is like. oc lore, not like headcanons for the games, so i don't think that counts. i got big into a couple hermitcraft folks this year, but i'm still slowly dipping into it? i'm still very new to the fandom side of things so i haven't seen much, it's p much just been limited life and secret life, which isn't even hermitcraft really. redstone and skulk that i just linked prev is actually my first fic for anything hermits that i've read, sooooooooo don't think there's rly anything there i can grab at. oh yeah tears of the kingdom came out! and i still haven't beaten it so i've been avoiding the tags for it for a while now so. out of touch on that one.

1. Are you named after anyone?

i am not! my parents very specifically wanted to find a unique name for me, which then became extremely trendy when i was in my late teens. so now every time i meet a girl under the age of 10 there's a 50% chance we have the same name, but on the other hand for the first 15 or so years of my life i'd only ever met one or two people who shared my name (lisa is not my real name)

umm i honestly don't remember specifically, probably a few months ago?

i played a lot of badminton and tennis and loved swimming as a kid and i would occasionally play basketball and volleyball! i wasn't very good at any of them, though, but i had fun! on the more adventurous side i've also done rock climbing, rappelling, hiking, and scuba diving and probably some others which i'm forgetting

i haven't been scared by a scary movie in fifteen years so happy endings i guess? i don't seek out horror content (but i've been meaning to so recs are welcome!!) but when i did, i generally found horror novels and video games much scarier than movies

probably a travel blogger. being able to travel the world and write about my experiences and be paid for it sounds like a dream. but failing that i would love a career in like finance or consulting where i get paid a lot and get to travel and work with a lot of clients but also with numbers
