Ryan was also a cross-country running enthusiast who aspired to study engineering. He was murdered heartlessly -lynched by a cop, who are now trying to carefully justify this by saying HE was the violent one... Ryan was on the spectrum of autism, and he was triggered by something before his killers arrived -and although he was being calmed by his father, he became very understandably upset when the cops arrived -and instead of LEAVING Ryan alone and calling in for additional mental health support -and attempting to de-escalate the situation a cop shot him at least 3 times. WTF can a garden tool have on a fucking gun? And not only did these cops LET Ryan bleed to death on the ground, the Sheriff's department has yet to release a full, unedited bodycam video to the family.
The cops have been called a handful of times previously, so they knew Ryan had autism. These cops need to be held accountable, and there needs to be better interventions with mental health crises. Cops should NEVER be on the front lines for this. They're not educated, trained, or have the abilities to help people -especially kids and youths in vulnerable situations.
Ryan, may you rest in peace and power.

Body cam footage of Tyre Nichols lynching has not been released as of my writing this. But I do have more information.
5 police officers were fired and charged with 2nd degree murder, kidnapping, and excessive use of force. (I just typed "officers charged with murder" in the news search and all of the results were this. I didn't even have to specify Memphis.)
2 firefighters were also fired due to the role they played in his death.
They're calling in the national guard in preparations for the protest.
EVEN THE POLICE CHIEF CALLS IT HEINOUS AND INHUMANE.
Reports from Twitter say they're closing businesses early and boarding up.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
They're calling this worse than the Rodney King footage which happened 30 years ago. (I just read what happened and what the actual fuck.)
Yeah. I'm changing my terminology here. This is nothing short of a lynching of Tyre Nichols. And again the footage hasn't even been released yet.

I have been thinking about how I wish to word this post as best I can. Yet, I struggle to find the right words to describe how I feel. Anger, guilt, sorrow, and most of all, a deep fear of what is to come.
Nex Benedict was a 16-year-old, gender-fluid Cherokee kid. They loved animals, especially their cat Zeus. One of their favorite pastimes was Minecraft. But this past week, their life was brutally cut short by a group of transphobic girls. After being ganged up upon by a group of girls in a bathroom, Owasso Public Schools would refuse to call the police nor an ambulance. No, instead, they would suspend them for two weeks, but that wouldn't matter;
Nex would die within 24 hours of the incident, after they were lynched.
Chaya Raichik, owner of Libs of Tiktok, posted grooming allegations against one of Nex's former teachers, after they stated they proudly supported LBGTQ+ students. After which, the smear campaign worked, and the teacher was fired. Ever since, a wave of immense homophobia and transphobia has swept through Owasso -- with Nex being a victim under its tide.
Nex's biological grandmother (their primary caregiver) has received more than enough for funeral costs, and plans to donate the rest to advocacy groups.
Please consider donating to Oklahomans for Equality. They are really struggling after an embezzlement scheme, but are planning to do a vigil for Nex.
I am in so much fear knowing this happened so close to me. I am doing my best to be a light that can out shine this hate. But please help me spread the word. Reblog this post. Share this outrage, and let us hurt. But we must do something.
Please do not forget your queer siblings in the South.

On This Day In History
August 28th, 1955: Emmett Till is lynched.
A Black 14-year-old accused of whistling at (or flirting with, or putting his hand around the waist of) a White woman, he was abducted, tortured, and murdered by two men who were not punished. The description propelled Till, posthumously, into the forefront of the American Civil Rights Movement.
The men, Roy Bryant and J.W. Milam, were never convicted and publically told their story, selling it for $4,000.
The woman, Carolyn Bryant, has also not faced justice. On August 10th, 2022, a grand jury declined to indict her.
Claims that Carolyn Bryant recanted her entire story are incomplete and misleading--she now says she cannot remember the exact details, and she apparently said some of her story was false during an untaped portion of an otherwise taped interview.

i dont know whats gotten into me, but i cant help but feel mad. mad that i have to keep preaching my OWN struggles.
and i know too fucking well that if you arent mexican- if you arent at the VERY LEAST latino- this shit is gonna fall on deaf ears
no one understands the loss of spanish speaking parents teaching their children english first so that they dont get discriminated against for a thick accent until you experience it
no one understands the amount of praying parents do secretly, praying that their young childs skin will pale by the time theyre old enough to get a job until you experience it
no one understands the embarassment of not knowing spanish fluently (because your parents didnt want people to dog on you for your accent) and being shamed for not being able to speak perfect spanish for your not mexican peers that say "oh so youre mexican, say something in spanish, then" until you experience it
no one understands the rage of finally learning about the mexican american war and manifest destiny- listening to the obnoxious american pride of texas, california, utah, and nevada as they step on my ancestors like stools and ignore their stolen land until you experience it
no one understands the betrayal of the forgotten 597 mexicans that were lynched between 1848 and 1949 whos identities were labeled as white instead of mexican until you experience it
no one understands the erasure of the mass shooting that occured in El Paso, Texas on august 3rd in front of a walmart where Patrick Crusius murdered 18 Hispanic Americans and told the police that he was trying to kill as many mexicans as possible until you experience it
no one understands the heartbreak of the murder of Luis Ramirez in July of 2008 when a group of white boys beat Luis Ramirez to death on his way home until you experience it
all i am asking- ALL I AM ASKING- is to let us be heard.
please reblog.

This episode of Andor depicted so many real life occurrences and did it so well that it almost hurts to watch. Pointing out just how real this type of oppressive action is to the point where it’s so frustrating that this stuff has happened in the first place and still happens every day.
This episode we learn that Cassian’s adoptive father’s name was Clem, explaining why Luthen gave him that code name. But this episode goes into more about the way his father was unjustly murdered.
Hanging is a recurring theme in this show, directed at the characters of color like Cassian and Lieutenant Gorn, and I do not think it’s on accident. Especially in the context of oppressive forces taking over. Cassian’s father was hanged. And truthfully, it was a lynching.
But for a black man to be (almost) shown being hanged, the implications of that with the history that black people have had, hit so close to home. It’s so pertinent. I don’t know if it was written that way with an black actor in mind. But to me, it’s important that they did that. Because it happened. Black people were lynched in America and left for days and weeks to serve as an example. And in some places, it’s still happening. There is heavy trauma in that.
And Cassian’s traumatic past haunts him the whole time he makes plans to leave Ferrix. Here he has his adoptive mother telling him that she was proud to hear about the rebel heist on Aldhani, that she doesn’t know he helped carry out using his father’s name. So proud that after avoiding it for years, she walked down the path to the square where Clem was hanged.
Cassian hears this and leaves. The flashback spurred on by his nearly crossing paths with stormtroopers. But the whole time he’s away on this warm beach planet, he’s on reasonably on edge. Then another familiar scene happens which often ends in death. He’s profiled again for looking “suspicious” and accused of several crimes he did not commit.
So many trips to the store have been cut short by instances like this. And he nearly loses his life due to the recklessness and carelessness of the shore trooper that stops him.
But it doesn’t even end there. Because of the empire retaliating against rebel action, he’s sentenced to prison for 6 YEARS when it would’ve originally been 6 months.
BOTH are too long for a crime you didn’t commit.
Just watching the trooper talk to him in circles made me angry. And that’s the point. We’ve seen it all too often. It’s very familiar and realistic and painful and overwhelming. But it needs to be highlighted. I’m glad that it’s being highlighted.

@colecassiidy
Twenty one. Resigned to his fate. The world before him darkening. His own strangled cries sound far, far away. Death embraces him...
and then. He hits the floors. His lungs fill with air. The rope that held him taught- slack. When the world brightens just enough, he takes off. He wastes no time, forcing his jellied legs to just go! Instinct takes over and he bolts in the direction of his saviour.
A stranger with dark hair, mounting a magnificent stead. Hosea cannot understand their actions; he can only hope that their mercy persists-that they give him an escape from this dreaded place. The Sheriff had been keen to rid this town of a starving young man, stealing to survive. He'd only stolen a chicken, damn it!!! The unforgiving Sheriff will not allow him to slip away with ease.
Tumblr media
Hosea says nothing as he closes the distance. The town folk and Sheriff already kicking up a fuss behind him. His eyes look into the other's- pleading. Hand raised, begging for him to take them away.

I just found out puppychan is on tumblr now under a different username and ngl, the whole situation with them just feels so....conflicting
On one hand a lot of the shit they did is straight up awful and stuff that should not be excused (endangering minors / innappropriate interactions with them, that racefaking incident they had for a bit 💀, the constant suicide baiting, among many other things)
But on another I just feel...man. i can't help but feel bad for him. I followed him when Antoonz was directing his bigoted ass audience towards him when he was still a minor, and all the ableist, racist, transphobic and straight up violent shit that was thrown Puppychan's way was genuinely awful - ESPECIALLY at such a young age. (I still remember the lynching art someone made on the day of his 18th birthday...ugh.) Not to mention it feels like the internet was kinda the only coping mechanism he had, and a really unhealthy one at that. It's very clear the internet just fucked him up a lot from being exposed to so much shit at a young age.
Don't get me wrong - I'm still incredibly disgusted by the things he's done and I do think people should definitely be warned about his antics. But part of me feels just...sad - sad that this clearly unwell person needs help and has been through so much shit, and they've dug themself into a hole, and because people are constantly on their tail they dig even deeper into said hole. It's like the Chris-chan thing all over again.
I will never condone any of the harmful shit that he did, but I do still hope he someday leaves the internet, finds a proper support system and works on himself. (And learn to stop blaming his harmful actions on his mental health issues). Cuz the internet is the last place he should be right now.

Yall, I know these are trolls, but I'm so tired of seeing this shit.
Have you seen the state of America? As one example. Reproductive rights are being attacked/are being scaled back entirely or, in many cases, have been eradicated, thus ending access to safe abortions for folks who need those services.
What about the trans and queer people being harassed and killed indiscriminately because of rampant cissexism/queerphobia/transphobia, or rape being called a 'hazard' of the job for women who serve in the US military. What about the white supremacists boldly storming Capitol Hill with zero consequences while Black people are being systematically lynched by cops...
Also, what about the many women are disrespected is MANY fields -especially in one's that are still male-dominated because of sexist bias and misogyny, like the gaming industry. Cultural misogyny exists everywhere.
I also see many western and european men get on social media DAILY via their platforms and podcasts with their shitty manosphere red pill bullshit and talk in length about how women belong in the home/are 'naturally' inferior or whose existences only mean something if we give birth and get married. Not to mention the endless slut shaming of women with 'high body counts.' Put on your thinking cap please.
Because using Islamophobic rhetoric to say Brown men rape their partners and that Palestine is inherently a misogynist country is beyond horrific and you should be ashamed of yourself.
Palestinian women, alongside the entirety of their communities, are one of the most educated people in the world. And in case your bigoted self has been glued to CNN, Palestinian women and children represent 70% of those genocided in Gaza in the past six months. And just as many Palestinian journalists have reported and activists/voices have spoken about -Palestinian men are the ones using their bare hands to search through rubble after IOF strikes, who are taking care of stray animals and are risking their lives to get to aid trucks to get food for their families. The one's, alongside their colleagues, comforting children who have been orphaned or permanently disabled/or severely injured because of bombings. I cannot believe I have to implore people to see Palestinian people's humanity because ya'll have been brainwashed by zionist approved propoganda in the West.

About the Tyre Nichols lynching by police officers.
The part I'm most stuck on right now. Is after the body cam footage was released (on Vimeo). The number of people reblogging my content leading up to the footage being released saying stuff like "Yeah. I saw the footage on the news and then the news anchors talked about it for a while."
I thought about it, and I'm not going to watch the footage. Because I got all of the information I needed from the lawyers and family talking about it.
He was unarmed.
It lasted 3 minutes.
There were 5 officers.
He was crying for him mom.
His face was unrecognizable.
His neck was broken
His mom couldn't even watch the entire thing.
Even the police chief called it heinous.
Like. There is nothing that can justify that. I don't need any more information than that. That's all the information I need to determine that these officers lynched this man.
Black pain isn't your content. It isn't your airtime. It's not your discussion topics. The lynching of a Black man and Black trauma isn't your discussion topic for profit. It's only your discussion topic to enact change.
What did they even talk about after? Because given the 8 facts above alone, there's nothing to talk about. Shoot. Only the first two points alone is enough to determine that there's nothing to talk about.
Anything beyond an angry rate about how fucked up this was is unadulterated trauma porn. Unadulterated picnic lynching trauma porn.
The ONLY discussion you need to have after that is what events took place in this country to lead up to this level of police brutality and how we're going to fix it.
What the actual fuck.
These people are HURTING. The trauma alone they're experiencing just from knowing this happened it heart breaking. Black people are HURTING. And you're turning it into your trauma porn.
