Cas drags him all the way back to the car without stopping for tomatoes, or Sam's carrots, or the free-range eggs that are way too expensive but Cas buys anyway because you can taste when the hen is well cared-for, Dean (whatever that means). They slide into the car, still not talking, and sit in silence for several long seconds. Dean stares at Cas, who stares out the windshield at the parking lot.

Owen, Tyler, and DJ are mostly unchanged. Cody plays up his geeky traits and whatever flirting skills he had in canon are completely gone here, since Gwen doesn’t even realize he likes her throughout the season.

Speaking of which, Beth’s artistic talents are a more active part of her characterization, hence the stickers and paint splatters. Ezekiel’s more of a basket case. Jeremy (Killer Bass) is a mischievous prankster who the rest of his team quickly deems an annoyance but keeps around for his unorthodox thinking. Addison (Not Killer Bass) is a fast talking hustler who’s smuggled a ton of sweets into camp and barters them off to the other Gophers, mostly Owen, Izzy, and Cody, in exchange for assistance. She’s a member of Heather’s alliance, bringing their numbers up to five, but she’s clearly a wildcard who’ll flip on her if it’s convenient. Heather can’t trust so easily, but Addison’s ironically one of the few who doesn’t hate her.

-interestingly, ty WAS essentially in a coma-like state, like how the spy said, which supports that it’s expected that ppl die in the PD eventually, and go into comas. I’m wondering if those who normally get sucked into the PD and die, theyre dealing with it by themselves, have no one to “pull them back” like taylor and/or ashlyn did, and they stay in a coma. 

-rlly hope the boys arent like “possessed” or smn. Maybe the soul is like, tainted? Those big black eyes man… (ALSO THAT PREVIEW IMAGE WITH LOGAN AND THE BIG BLACK EYES??? WHAT??)

-going off the dead PD ppl turn into phantoms theory>> If a phantom is killed, their connected person in the RD who was in a coma dies fr permanently

NUMBER THREE: Ashlyn and the Phantoms (cool new band name) 

we know the kids are getting influenced by the PD, making phantom noises (further supports phantoms were people theory) but with Ashlyn's "really strong" connection to the PD, she's in special danger. If one can turn into a phantom without dying, it's gonna be her. Ryan the spy said that "the girl" – assumingly ashlyn– should be "especially" at risk of danger. This could be bc she was the one who interacted with the rift, or bc she already has a higher level of phantom influence on her. 

-when ashlyn told the phantom to let go, and her friends to calm down, both times she spoke with a black speech bubble WITH PHANTOM NOISE LINES NEAR IT. this is different than characters who have also spoken with black bubbles (aiden, logan, taylor). obviously these have been with threats/malice, but they didn't have the red lines. These times ashlyn has spoken, the phantom acknowledged her voice, and her friends' spell-like violence trance was broken. Theory: ashlyn not only can hear phantoms, but she can speak their language sort of

-when ashlyn was born, a phantom like touched her in a blessing/cursing sense which is part of the reason why she can hear phantoms and her strong PD connection. possibly even possession???? 

-tldr i want ashlyn to enter her monster girl era 

The evil gang seems confused why the kids have lasted so long. maybe Ashlyn's PD connection goes both ways. she provides a strong anchor to the RD. Maybe the PD is USUALLY all desolate with the pillars that we saw in the finale (maybe it's even an afterlife of sorts?), but Ashlyn makes a huge radius (~30 miles! (assuming kids were driving at least 60mph for 30 minutes)) of the PD around where she wakes up mirror the real world, creating a safer space for her and the kids. meanwhile a normal person that gets sucked into the PD gets thrown into a desolate hell world different from the RD (also maybe stuck there permanently), causing them to die much quicker. 

-maybe this influence is even part of the reason why RD tyler is awake (And aiden)

-Ashlyn's influence extends to jamming the recording devices like some kind of weird phantom static.

-Broke: Ashlyn's parents wanted her to learn self defense and have a knife bc they're in the military. Woke: they want her to be able to protect herself after the phantom scare when she was a baby

-Also THANK GOD she’s finally acting on her intuition. Sm times she’s been like “this feels bad!” and doesnt do anything. Almost makes me wonder if it’s a supernatural intuition based on phantom stuff. Like shes WAY OFF from the hospital and the drama and is like “HMM! Smn going on” 

NUMBER FOUR: Origami gang and Co INC. 

-The gangs symbol is an origami crane (orizuru). the crane in East Asia has longevity as one of its symbolisms, with some myths saying it flies souls up to paradise. there's the popular myth that if you fold 1000 cranes you get a wish.

Heres where the evil twist comes in. The gang boss believes that if he traps 1000 people in the PD as like, a sacrifice, then he'll get a wish and he'll ask for eternal life or whatever. this gang is a cult and he's tricked everyone saying that they'll also get a long life but really it's probably only gonna be him 🤫 So they go around to different haunted places in America and pick ppl they sense can open these shadow rifts and get sucked in. the phantoms may be ppl they trapped in the past and they've turned into phantoms

-Ryan, the guy who's spying on the kids, maybe is ALSO "Mr. thomas". he just puts on a wig and is a good actor lol. this is the reason why he asks about "Mr. Thomas's" fate. What goes against this is that Ryan seems to know all about the PD mechanisms, which doesn't fit Mr. Thomas being confused abt ashlyns hair. Unless he wasn't expecting it

– or "Mr thomas" could just be Ryan's friend or brother or smn. A low ranked guy in the gang that got stuck with roping Ashlyn into Savannah, but doesn't know the truth/details about the PD. 

-the gang mentions that "both sides" are trying to track them. either the government and a supernatural hunting group, or even some force in the PD like some Alpha Phantom like the devil who's like "Where's my dead people quota hello?" or better yet "you're messing with MY domain and I'm gonna Get You". 

-This is based solely on the Boss' appearance and smiling countenance: the gang Boss is Aiden's uncle, his dad's brother, his weird, estranged brother who's also evil probably. I'm really hung on this idea don't mind me 

-you have to be able to make a paper origami crane from memory to be an official gang member /hj 

NUMBER FIVE: Gen story/Character arcs and futures

-ready for a “power of love and friendship” aesop. these kids are gonna be so Bonded now after these traumatic experiences

-i had come up with an elaborate “death order” but thats now completely jossed now so im ignoring that

-PRAISING THE FREAKING LORD THAT ALL THE PARENTS KNOW NOWAND THAT MIKE BELIEVES THEM AND IS HELPING HIS DAUGHTER. DAD OF THE YEAR AWARD. IF ANYTHING AHPPENS TO HIM IM SUEING!!!!!

- SO NOW that all the parents know, and like, have seen all the phantoms and everything and BTW WILL PROBABLY GET SUCKED INTO THE PD AT SOME POINT because they felt the shift like the kids did, they help the kids get to Savannah yippee!! a cool Big family squad force they all hop on a working school bus or smn and drive there. PLs

- the families getting sucked in would be HUGE cause they arent prepared. Logan’s grandparents and Lily are top targets 😭

So the kids are gonna get kidnapped. that's definitely gonna be a thing, either mid S2 or ending. up in the air whether the kidnapping is successful or not. (assuming the gang would be smart enough to get rid of the kids’ phones when they get them)

-actually I'm placing my bets now S2 finale will be them getting kidnapped and it just cuts off there for another awful cliffhanger.

-since it seems Mr thomas will be involved, he'll ask the kids to stay after school to talk abt their failing grades or smn, and then maybe they're hit with knockout gas??

OR the gang has been spying on them so they pick a time the kids all separated and jump them. 

-maybe this is when aiden knowing where ashlyns dance studio is is actually plot relevant!!?? like he (and Ben probably cuz they're always together) are able to escape their attackers and Aiden goes to help ashlyn cuz he wants to make sure she's OK. and she's either fine cuz she's a girl boss and can kick butt, or he saves her oo la la 

–lol imagine kidnapping is successful, gang tells kids why they were kidnapped, (if Evil Boss Uncle theory is true this helps facilitate this) but Ashlyn "goes off" on Aiden yelling and "attacking" him and stuff saying he's part of the gang, he planned it all along etc, but it's all a ruse to have the gang think she'll cause another energy spike (and Aiden gets this and plays along) so assuming the kids are locked up, the gang opens their cell to stop ashlyn, and that's when they escape lol

so like, i THOUGHT ashlyn/aiden was gonna be a slow burn but HAHAHA. i mean not as freaking slow obviously as like Miraculous love square lol, but like slow for thriller standards? But things are gonna be heating up between these two 😏 watch ashlyn be ~conflicted~ and ~in denial~~. And meanwhile poor aiden is a confused boy who doesnt know what ash wants like “b u told me to give u space and now here u are grasping my hand like ur life depends on it” 

Sorry back to character arcs:

Ashlyn: Learn to trust and connect with people, make friends, lean on others. Could be nice if she accepts and admits the kids are her friends by the end of S2, leaving the next season for Aiden/Ashlyn dev specifically? More development about her connection with the PD, which could put friendship to the test. [already getting this with her dad and Aiden so this is great]

Also she has the freaking GUILT like i expected! Watch her think tay hates her for like a week before tay is like “no?? I hate the ppl who did this to us instead” and then they hug it out 👍

Taylor: Willing to bet money the twins are unhealthily codependent on each other. She is on the edge bro. Unhinged feral. Is probably gonna be more angry in general despite it being a bad idea, like the top has been blown off. Bottled up emotions~! 

Still thinking she’ll get close to Ben too (whether anything romantic develops on top of it is debatable, but I can see it. theyve already got a cute little closeness going on)..

Tyler: Get this boy some ~THERAPY~ help he’s so depressed and angry. Learn to have hope again (like ben 😭). He has so much negativity inside him, i dont think that’ll help with whatever is going on with him rn like, hes probably in the THICK of the PD influence. He’s kinda like ash, needs to learn to rely on others.

Logan: Seems to be overcoming his fragility well if the arcade scene is any indication. Still has self-worth issues to overcome due to his parents' abandonment. Maybe we'll learn more about that in S2. That could be a rumor and the real reason he lives with his grandparents is that his parents died but idk why that'd be hidden unless their death was suspicious (like, drug ring?? His gpa got the GOODS APPARENTLY). 

Ben: Still needs to find a new passion for life, i suspect playing musical instruments like the guitar will be the answer (thank you tyler). Tho maybe learning to love his altered voice could happen? (tons of dudes have a rough/husky singing voice that ppl love) But this is probably unlikely.  

Aiden: Good Lord like, Aiden being (most likely) suic.idal in the past (and possibly even still NOW?) has floored me. I figured his loneliness and suspected parental neglect was bad but IT’S BAD. Dude wants to feel alive and not depressed… frick. AIDEN ARE YOU going to therapy??? Do your parents KNOW??? Is that why your parents finally settled down?? Guh. this on top of probably untreated ADHD.

–I’m assuming now Aiden started dying his hair to try to get any fragment of serotonin. 

– Kinda wondering if he grew up in a "toxic positivity" mentality home, where his parents are like "we're so privileged we shouldn't complain" ?

– im actually THIS close to beating Aiden’s parents with a stick.

-guessing now that the twin’s dad had cancer or smn

-hey uh what about the photo Logan took of the phantom back at the sorrel-weed house?? surely he still has it? can he show the parents?? will they be able to see it?

-Logan saw the whole Aidlyn hug from the roof from his snipper position, change my mind.

-Another “death” will happen in S2, possibly even two deaths. (GOD I WAS RIGHT)

-Mr thomas switches sides and helps the kids, gives them info

-Ryan (the spy) switches sides and helps the kids

-the tour lady Jasmine and the Boss are a hot evil couple 

also kinda want them to have a Rourke & Helga dynamic where he throws her under the bus at the last moment and she's Bissed 

-I want the boss to die by his own evil plan. 

–i doubt a redemption arc will happen but I'd be down for it if done well.

-*grabs your shoulders until they bleed* listen. Aiden saved ashlyn, now I need her to save him. I need this.

9-1-1: Lone Star's Ronen Rubinstein and Rafael Silva are setting network TV ablaze with their fiery queer romance.

Tarlos is here — and ready to take over.

Coined by fans of Fox’s hit procedural drama 9-1-1: Lone Star, the affectionate “ship” name is a portmanteau of the show’s queer main characters: firefighter-turned-paramedic Tyler Kennedy “T.K.” Strand and Carlos Reyes, an Austin police officer. The LGBTQ-inclusive series centers on the lives of emergency responders and also boasts names like Rob Lowe, Liv Tyler, and transgender actor Brian Michael Smith.

Watching Lone Star, which opens a fourth season in early 2023, it’s easy to see why fans love Tarlos. Their relationship — which began in the pilot episode in an Austin honky-tonk and evolved into a roller coaster of casual hookups, breaking up, moving in together, and eventually getting engaged — is a story LGBTQ+ fans could only dream about seeing on network television just a few years ago. Seeing these two characters — with their movie-star good looks and boys-next-door appeal — navigate life and love in relatable ways gives fans giddy feelings with every new episode (which is why discussions of Lone Star continually trend on Twitter during the television season).

Fortunately, out actors Ronen Rubinstein and Rafael Silva have the chemistry to bring these two Lone Star boys to life.

“I can’t imagine doing this with somebody that (a) you don’t like and (b) you don’t mesh well with on set,” Rubinstein says of Silva. Since they started this journey as Tarlos when Lone Star premiered in 2020, the two have grown close as both colleagues and friends. “I can’t imagine doing that with somebody that you don’t get along with and you don’t respect and you don’t love as a human being,” he adds. “I can honestly say that’s how I feel about Rafael.”

“Ro and I are just so fucking different as people…. But it’s this sort of yin and yang thing,” says Silva. “Two of the same pieces of the same puzzle are not going to go together, they’re just not. They have to be different in order to complement each other, and I think we do that very well as actors and as people.”

One of the first scenes the two shot together was a sex scene, and like with any intimacy on camera, that required a lot of trust — even if at the time, they had just recently met. But the two used their real-life newness with each other to their advantage, as it paralleled how T.K. and Carlos were also just getting to know each other, creating a realistic pairing that the stans simply can’t get enough of.

“At that point, when you have a bunch of people just watching you make out and do that, you have to rely on your partner,” Silva says. “It’s like we only got each other right now, so let’s just do whatever happens here, just go with the flow. Let’s just go.”

Tarlos, with all their confidence and chemistry, is one of television’s better examples of an LGBTQ+ couple just getting to live their messy but meaningful lives without extreme trauma keeping them apart. A couple like Tarlos was a portrayal Rubinstein and Silva didn’t see a lot of growing up, and that helped motivate them to portray T.K. and Carlos in a way never before seen by generations of queer TV watchers.

Silva, who was born in Brazil and spent the early part of his childhood there, says he was raised in a very male-dominated, machismo-drenched culture with a stigma surrounding gay people. It wasn’t until he was a young adult attending Pace University in New York City that he was exposed to queer culture, and he was able to “actively, fully be myself” as a gay man. And it wasn’t until he saw Viola Davis’s badass bisexual Annalise Keating on ABC’s acclaimed How to Get Away With Murder that he felt like he saw something of himself represented on television.

Like Silva, Rubinstein, who spent his childhood in the U.S. but was born in Israel after his family left the Soviet Union following its collapse, had a similar experience growing up in a culture that taught folks being gay or queer was verboten. “It just wasn’t a thing that was ever brought into my world,” Rubinstein says.

That is, until he caught the acting bug. Going into Manhattan for auditions and exploring the West Village introduced Rubinstein to people and cultures that he had never experienced before, and that’s when he started to realize he could truly be himself and like both men and women. (Rubinstein publicly came out as bisexual in April of 2021 while Lone Star’s second season was airing.)

“I remember going there, just wandering around, and I was like, ‘Oh, wow, this is amazing,’” he recalls. “I think that was probably the first time where I started looking at men differently. Especially growing up, [I don’t remember] anybody talking about being bisexual. That wasn’t even a term that I even knew existed. It was just gay or lesbian.”

Though they didn’t have much representation growing up, Silva and Rubinstein are elated by how many people are touched by Tarlos. “It’s really all over the world right now, it’s unbelievable,” Rubinstein reflects. “I’d be lying to you if I said, ‘Yeah, of course I knew it would be like this,’ or ‘Yeah, I expected it.’ First of all, just for this storyline to even be birthed, it is so risky. Especially for a network like Fox. If it wasn’t for [creators] Ryan Murphy and Tim Minear, it wouldn’t be possible, and it’s still shocking me to this day.”

What was also shocking for Silva and Rubinstein (in a good way) was getting to see just how much love fans were ready to give in real life, as the two got to meet Tarlos stans over the summer at the Dream It Not at Home convention in Paris.

“We met a lot of people saying, ‘I’ve been saving money to come here, I’ve been working overtime,’ so all I could hear was, ‘I’ve been putting in effort in order to see you,’” Silva says of the experience. “When you hear that, you feel the responsibility to also take them in.”

And they’re not taking any of that love and support lightly. With season 4 of Lone Star on the horizon, and with more Tarlos promised to viewers after a breathtaking proposal scene at the end of season 3, Silva and Rubinstein are more committed than ever to nailing their parts as authentically as possible. And they can’t wait for fans to see what season 4 has in store.

“I’ve definitely been shocked and surprised already within the first couple episodes. There’s definitely been some storylines where I’m like, ‘What?’” Rubinstein says. “It’s hard to predict what’s going to happen on the show, especially with us, so that’s been really cool. It keeps you on your toes, and when I get a script, I’m literally flipping through the pages as fast as I can because at any moment, there could be a bombshell — and we’re definitely going to have a couple this season.”

“Right off from episode 1, we’re going to find out some things that are funny, but it propels on to several beautiful episodes after the first one, and it’s going to be intense,” Silva says. “It’s going to be fun to watch and fun to do. Like what Ronen said, you can’t really expect much because things change a lot. Whatever you think is going to happen, Tim always brings something better than what your imagination can perceive. I think the fun part is just waiting to find out what actually happens.”

“The biggest thing is all paths lead to the wedding,” Rubinstein adds.

As the actors reflect on the future of their careers beyond Lone Star, both remain optimistic that LGBTQ+ representation is only going to improve, and they both want to work on projects that push boundaries and are more inclusive of historically marginalized identities. For Rubinstein, that means seeing more projects with bisexual male leads, and for Silva, that means adding Latinx representation to mainstream American media.

“I would love to do movies and work with some of my heroes, whether it’s Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, Christian Bale. I’ve been putting that out since I’ve started this journey, so hopefully it happens,” Rubinstein says. “I think, selfishly, I would like to see more male characters who are bisexual, especially in leading roles. It’s strange that it’s not happening more often. Maybe it’s going to take me to produce something or be the one that does it, but I’d love to see more of that. I think there’s a lot of stories to be told, but especially in the LGBTQ+ community.”

“If I’m going to dream, I want to do things that challenge me, that make me scared, but where I can also have fun and also, I’m going to say selfishly, where I can achieve a certain level in my career where I won’t feel like I have to explain myself,” Silva says.

I didn’t used to but I try to now. It took me a while to get past “if I thank them for the kind words that means I agree and they can call me big-headed!” but now I think perhaps the commenter and I will become friends, as though this was still the LJ days or whatever.

I am answering these together to say that with 412 works it’s rly hard to come up with an answer because I’m bound to forget something that’s either angstier or happier than the one I pick D:

No, despite writing occasionally Problematic stuff. Maybe I’m just lucky with that? I think on AO3 the worst I’ve ever got is a comment or two on Ten/Reinette fic about how it is a TERRIBLE pairing and how dare anyone write it. I think I deleted those, or if I haven’t then I meant to, because fuck it they’re properly tagged so the enraged anons must have deliberately chosen something that would offend them.

This sort of thing is why I still have an automatic flinch reaction when people tell me they like Rose Tyler.

9. Do you write smut?

Of course not! I write very thoughtful and insightful character studies in which the characters being studied fuck, that’s COMPLETELY different!

Not often, I’m more into the idea of crossovers than actually writing (or reading) them.

I don’t think so.

Yeah, a few times.

Yes but not for years.

I’m going to say Doctor/TARDIS because that’s a safe answer to such questions.

Never say never – I’ve had ideas that did finally get written a decade later.

I think it’s dialogue, which is also usually the easiest part to write. (I am a bit of a Fic Snob about how characters should sound like themselves in fic, including in AU fics where is even more important and also if they go OOC in those then that should be the point that’s being made.)

17. What’s your writing weaknesses?

The bits that aren’t dialogue. Urgh, why must things need to be described! Why must I tell the reader who is speaking!

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

Well I usually see it in the context of “a phrase or word in the language we assume the characters are actually speaking” (mostly pet-names, for some reason) and that just makes me go “So what language are they speaking in the rest of this story? In the rest of this sentence, even?” Not a fan of this, nah.

Tyler and The Hyde don't really have strong opinions on toys. I feel like if you have any in your collection before you start seeing him, he wouldn't say no to incorporating them into your routine, but his one condition is, he always has to be inside of you in some capacity when the toys are in use.

Tyler/The Hyde definitely likes to make his relationship with you known, but you have to be an actual nightmare to get him to tease you. Tease? Only for disciplinary purposes.

Thoughts on 4x13-4x23 TBH I had a lot of fun watching this half! I liked Elena’s no humanity arc and I enjoyed Silas fucking around with everyone and getting inside their heads. I also liked the detours to NYC and the storybook town Katherine compelled. There is some good foreshadowing this half and it was definitely much better than the first half of S4 (at least to me) The worst part was Bonnie’s storyline because of how tragically it ended and that she wasn’t in control of herself for much of it (this season was rough for her, might be her roughest). Also everyone appears to be dumber for plot reasons (or maybe it was just Damon being put in charge too often). Thoughts below!

The way Rebekah body slammed Elena CTFU!!

Klaus is such an asshole. As much as I have enjoyed some of the Klaus and Caroline scenes this season (my feelings about them have evolved, they are a necessary evil lol) stuff like this will always turn me off about them.

This Forwood scene is both touching and heartbreaking. Caroline reassuring Tyler he did the right thing because he freed the hybrids, and calling him a leader. They’re so great.

Again it's so cruel how the show is handling Beremy in regards to Bonnie. They came back together pretty quickly, which isn't a bad thing because it shows Jeremy has been pining this whole time (which your own fault my guy). However, they are just setting Bonnie up because he's gonna die! All those shirtless muscle grazes for nothing.

Rebekah dropping truth bombs though about how everyone should shut up about taking the moral high ground.

I like that Caroline always finds a way to stay alive! She knew she could use Klaus’ feelings for her against him to cure her, and she doesn’t have to give him anything in return. Adapt or die.

These beach/forest island scenes are making me zone out, I have no idea what's going on with this plot and very ready for it to end.

Nah Klaus was being way too nice and forgiving, Tyler and Caroline needed to be quicker figuring that out.

For someone who hates Elena she sure does talk about her ALL THE TIME JFC Rebekah, get a life.

But EL OH EL at Elena trying to get Stefan back to worshipping her by talking about his feelings on being human and when she asks why he didn't tell her he says "because it wasn't about you" BURN!

I like how you can subtly tell its Katherine when she goes to bite the hunter. Elena never would have done that.

Stefan and Caroline have great silent communication.

Sometimes I read Reddit against my better judgement and for some reason they all believe Stefan and Bonnie should have happened. But I’m sorry after 3.5 seasons into this rewatch Stefan doesn’t give a flying fuck about Bonnie! Whatever “friendship” people think was “ignored” does not exist! He basically told Damon to leave her on that island with a 2000 year old psychic immortal because Damon needed to use the sire bond (!!!) on Elena. Bonnie doesn’t really fuck with him either, ever since Grams died she keeps her distance more than I noticed before. I think Bonnie recognizes how much Stefan is a lying liar who lies.

I think that’s why Bonnie ultimately got closer to Damon than she ever did to Stefan. Not that she trusts Damon or even really likes him until S6, but he at least shows her who he is all the time.

Damon and Caroline do not have good silent communication lol.

The crazypants Bonnie scenes are amusing in a scary way during all this heavy stuff.

This was one of the most emotional episodes of this show ever and I mean that in a good way. Nina deserved more accolades for her performance because it’s really heartbreaking, and she does a fantastic job of switching from extremely emotional to “emotionless” humanity off.

The scene where the trio walks out of the house while it’s burning you see Damon and Elena keep walking together but Stefan stays back a bit to look at the house and gets separated from the two of them. I felt like that was foreshadowing that Stefan is going to move on and essentially leave the triangle.

I feel like Stefan always has a vervain needle in his pocket LMFAO! Phone, keys, wallet, vervain needle. It will also endlessly amaze me how often vamps get roofied by vervain needles in broad daylight and just no one cares.

The way NH!Elena stops when she sees Stefan and Caroline dancing and stomps over GREATEST MOMENTS IN TVD HISTORY! I firmly believe this is the first time we see Stefan have his more than friendship feelings for Caroline (the ones that scared him and he pushed away) and actually act on them.

OMG am I ready for Rebekah to go away already!

Klaus and Hayley have ZERO chemistry wow. They definitely get better on TO but this was painful to watch.

Personally I would have told Stefan “not my problem” re: NH!Elena but Caroline is nicer than me. She’s also still kinda falls for his tricks at this point (wait until S6 my friends).

KLEFAROLINE! I can’t believe this is the only episode ever that they all shared scenes at the same time.

Isn’t Shane dead?!? I can’t follow this storyline at all man.

You can always tell how bad the show is treating Bonnie by how bad her wig/hair is and right now it's getting bad again. It looked great with the curtain bangs but the full bangs are a no-go. How this show managed to make Kat Graham look NOT gorgeous on purpose is it's most heinous crime.

I think we can all agree when Klaus said “don’t underestimate the allure of darkness Stefan, even the purest of hearts are drawn to it” it was him propositioning Stefan and Caroline to have a threesome.

I’m really enjoying the NYC scenes and the flashbacks. It’s giving a different feel to the show and I like it, almost the opposite of how it made me feel in the beginning of the season. Maybe we’re transitioning with Elena again but this time it's about having no humanity and hedonism so it's like grimmy, dark and sexy. Also change of scenery once in a while is a good thing.

Klaus pushing Stefan against the tree was way more sexual than the script intended me thinks. Then Caroline rushes over, and that’s why we only got one episode of this throuple, le sigh.

Silas appearing as everyone was a good villain for this half. Gave everyone an opportunity to play something different, plus there’s always something scary about a shapeshifter especially one that can read your mind.

Bonnie going cray-cray again but even worse her hair and this dull dress WTF?! Like they gave her prom queen but at what cost! I hope Kat burned this wig once she was free from it.

I personally feel like the Steroline prom dance affects Stefan more than Caroline. She maybe feels a little tingle after they share a look but Stefan’s reaction is way more played up. He’s the one who lowers his head like they might kiss and then the breath he takes after. My heart. Love how this becomes such an important moment in their love story, especially for him. He mentions it in his speech about loving her changed his life, and oh yeah his friggin' wedding vows!

You know Caroline is moving up in the TVD food chain when Matt turns a dig about her from Rebekah into a compliment!

Matt being the trigger for Elena made sense, he got the biggest emotional reaction out of her when she first saw him in the woods. I don’t think Damon got any real emotional reaction out of her tbh, and Stefan got some with her jealousy over Caroline and when he compared her to Katherine. This just proves Matlena should have been endgame like I’ve always said!

Sorry but I love how everyone doesn’t even entertain the idea Elena could kill Katherine. They are like she’s 500 years old and 500x smarter than you, you will die.

Lexi’s comments are great foreshadowing for Steroline. They are ambiguous enough that they don’t say Stefan has feelings for Caroline but they don’t deny it. Lexi definitely seems to think so though and she's known him for over 100 years so...

I know Katherine and Elena have tons of reasons to want each other dead but it felt like they played it up on purpose this episode and the next one to make them fight and give Katherine the cure. It’s not OOC or anything just feels more manufactured than it needed to be.

I can’t believe they killed Bonnie! I know it’s temporary but JFC she can’t catch a break, this was an awful season half for her. Fuck Julie and Dries.

I can’t believe they had Stefan graduate LMFAO zero people believe he attended more than 2 classes this whole year.

I like how the Klaroline scene in 4x23 and the Steroline scene in 6x22 work in tandem. I used to view it as a conflict but now I appreciate how they work so well for Caroline. Two hot powerful guys promising her their heart and she gets to choose which one whenever she wants since they both gave an open timeline. It girl behavior!

I don’t think I ever zone out more than when Damon and Elena make one of their yelling love declarations of toxicity. I will never understand their appeal.

Poor Stefan. I do feel a little bad but they did hint all season he was going to be the one to move on and he knew it too. Through a rewatch it’s easy to see the hints and foreshadowing. His scene with Damon where he says he’s “not not happy for you” is great too because that’s what matters to him more in the end.

hiiii so this turned into a part 2 of this one because some tags from some people (you and @rockitmans and @annepi-blog and @neryreadsfic, if we want to name names) so here we go:

7: ...to shut them up AND 10: ...desperately

Kurt should be more excited about this. He has a third date with a cute guy tonight. But for some reason he’s not thrilled. A week ago, even earlier this week, he was. Because a cute guy liked him and wanted to go out with him for a third date, and maybe he’d finally get to properly kiss a boy. And then his own anxieties got in the way. And then he kissed his roommate/best friend. And that changed things.

It’s not just that he properly kissed a boy. It’s that he kissed Blaine. His roommate. His best friend since they met earlier this year. And it’s that now, he can’t stop thinking about that kiss. About how it made him feel. And he’s not sure if he would feel that way with the guy he’s about to go on a date with.

It’s not like he doesn’t like this guy. Tyler is sweet and funny and he likes talking to him and they’ve had a nice time the past two times they’ve gone out, but… But he’s not sure. There’s still some butterflies with Tyler, but with Blaine… that was like fireworks. He’s not sure. He needs to be sure. So he gets ready for this date and hopes that it’ll help him figure out whatever his heart is trying to tell him.

The date starts off fine. They’re talking, they’re laughing, they’re having a nice time. But sometimes Tyler just doesn’t get him the way Blaine does. True, he doesn’t know him as well, but… But for some reason, he can’t stop thinking that he’d be enjoying himself more if he were with Blaine. He can’t do this. Not to himself, not to his date. So about halfway through the date, he tells Tyler, “I’m sorry, but I don’t think this is working. You’re a great guy, really, and I’d be glad to stay friends, but I can’t do this right now.” And Tyler lets him go. 

Kurt decides to walk back to his dorm. It’s not too far, and it gives him more time to think. All of this isn’t just because he kissed Blaine. Yes, that has something to do with it, but… But maybe he’s been hiding what he actually feels from himself for months. Because there’s that unspoken rule that you shouldn’t date your roommate because it can mess everything up. And because he thought there was no chance Blaine might have feelings for him. But then he thinks back to that kiss and… And what if he was wrong? He needs to know if he’s wrong. Needs to know if there could be something.

He bursts into their dorm a little more frantically than necessary. Blaine looks up from the textbook he has open on his bed and starts to ask him “How was your date?” But before he can even finish that sentence, Kurt is grabbing his face and kissing him like he’s been drowning and Blaine is air. 

“Um hi,” Blaine says once they’re breathing actual air again. “Is this a thing we do now or something? And aren’t you supposed to be on a date?”

“I couldn’t do it,” Kurt starts to explain. “I couldn’t keep dating him.”

“Did he end up being awful after all?”

“No. Not at all. He just– he wasn’t what I wanted. He wasn’t you. The whole time, I just couldn’t stop thinking about how much more fun I would be having if I were there with you, and about when we kissed and—” And this time it’s Blaine cutting him off and kissing him as if what he just said is something he’s been waiting to hear. 

"Oh," Kurt breathes out, smiling. "So I guess this is a thing we do now?" 

"Yeah, I guess it is." And Blaine pulls him smiling into another kiss.

Author’s Note:  I know no one asked for it specifically, but I wrote this first.  I also just finished my last exam today and had some downtime before things got busy for me. I felt like I did terrible with this backstory and I’m sorry this is so short.  I also switched the ‘person’ angle this is written in a lot. Sorry. You were working when your Dad texted you to pack a bag for 1 week, maybe more.  You were living with him at the time, but you were thankful that he found TK when he did because you couldn’t lose your brother after it had already felt like you had lost your mom to the divorce.  As much as you didn’t like the sudden shift from New York to Texas, you went because you wanted to support your brother.  You also figured if Texas is as people say it is, then there will not be as many drugs down there for your brother to get his hands on should he want to try what he did that night again, at least in Austin. 

You were making breakfast in the kitchen when TK came in.  “You know, after being in Austin for 6 months, I feel like I should have gotten used to the heat.  Nope.” TK laughed at your attempted humor.  He feels bad that he had to uproot your life when your dad made both of you come down, but after countless reassurances, he was made aware that the only thing about New York you missed was the snow.  

“Speaking of things heating up…”

Nothing like that.  I just…” He was biting his lip and avoiding eye contact.  Whatever it was he wanted to talk to you about, it was serious.  You stopped cutting your banana and faced him fully paying attention to what he had to say.  “I wanted to know if you would like to meet my boyfriend.”  That was not the thing you expected to hear on a Tuesday morning.  

“Are you sure TK? Are things serious? Did you tell him about why you came to Texas?”  

“Yes, 99% sure, and yes he found that out when he arrested me shortly after we got here.”  Things were at a stalemate now.  On one hand, I wanted to be happy for my brother, but on the other, the last time my brother had a boyfriend who he thought he loved enough to almost propose to him, he got into a breakup, and almost died had our Dad not found him in time. 

“Ok. Set up a lunch with all of us and I’ll be there.  I promise I’ll try not to interrogate him.” 

“I think interrogating is a part of his job.” He threw back with a smirk. 

“And looking out for my brother is a part of mine and that’s a job I take VERY seriously.”  TK then looked at me with eyes that if they could talk would say ‘I’m thankful I have you in my life.’

**Fast Forward to Meet-up Day (and through most of the conversation because I didn’t know what to write)**

“So you’re telling me you went Sherlock and Watson WITH OUR DAD to find the ambulance crew.” You knew your dad was stubborn, but he went into full-on detective mode when you heard this story.

“I mean it helped that TK left us a bread crumb.” Carlos turned his head to look at TK.  You could automatically see the love in his eyes as he looked at your brother.  You had been seeing that look the whole night.  

“Ok, I’m going to go to the bathroom quickly before you both start exchanging embarrassing stories about me.”  TK pointed at you. 

“What?!? I would never.” You state back giving your best innocent face. 

 “You would and you know it.” Then TK left you alone with his boyfriend.  You both just stared in the direction TK left waiting for the other to start talking.  

“Ok, I’m just going to say it.  I approve of you and my brother because I see the way you two look at each other with love and adoration in your eyes.  But I’m going to be frank with you.  The last time my brother thought he found ‘the one’ he overdosed and almost died that night.”  Carlos just nodded at you looking back down at his food scraps.  From that body language, you could tell that he knew about TK’s past history of substance abuse.  “So I’m going to be the protective sister.  I approve of you two, but if you hurt my brother I will kill you. You got me?” 

“Yes, mam.” Carlos nodded at you quickly.  Getting my approval must have been something important to him if he was taking this conversation very seriously.  

“Now that that’s out of the way, have I told you the time TK got a wedgie on the ladder truck?”  Carlos laughed at your attempt to break the tension, unfortunately for you, TK returned from his bathroom trip.  

“And you will not be telling that story anytime soon.”

The rest of the night went by smoothly.  You loved to see your brother so happy with someone who made him feel happy and safe.  You parted ways in the parking lot giving each of the boys a long hug before driving back to your Dad’s house.  

**TK POV**

“So, what did I miss? Did she threaten you?”  Carlos smiled as he got into the passenger seat next to me.  

“Yeah, but in the protective sister kind of way.  I like her.”  I took his hand over the console and interlocked our fingers.

“And I think she liked you.  Thanks for being the best babe and being willing to do this.” Carlos’s other hand came up and cupped my cheek.

“I love you too.” *Kiss*  I started the car and drove back to Carlos’s place keeping our fingers interlocked the whole ride home.  No matter what drama went on with my parents, I’m glad to know my sister and my boyfriend are always going to be there for me.

Some thoughts on the teen wolf movie:

Overall I quite liked the movie, I feel a bit embarrassed saying that after seeing what everyone else thinks about it but I can’t help it lol. I’m not gonna lie I do think there’s both a lot pros and cons to it, so here’s my thoughts on it:

To start off I really loved the time jump it just made sense to me and I love seeing how the character’s ages were now closer to the actors ages instead of them still being in their teen years or early twenties. I didn’t know that was going to happen so I was pleasantly surprised by that. Knowing that Scott still worked with animals and deaton was so sweet to me, Lydia being a fucking was boss was just *chefs kiss* The Hale’s having a family business, awesome. Honestly just having a good portion of the characters back on screen was awesome to me lmao, didn’t realise how much I missed teen wolf til I watched it.

The beginning of the movie was pretty awesome, I never thought that they would open it up to Liam in japan, he’s speaking Japanese and serving customers at a restaurant, this indicates that’s he’s been there a while. Hikari had a cool intro alongside Liam, it’s obvious she’s a badass and you get to see small bits of that throughout the movie. this could’ve been a really good opportunity to create a new strong Asian woman/character that people like me (I’m part Asian) could relate to but instead of making her completely different and new, the writer/s took all of Kira’s traits (Kitsune, sword etc.) and dumped it onto hikari, which to me felt really lazy and probably racist which doesn’t surprise me considering how they treated Arden Cho (go watch partner track on Netflix!!). It’s also obvious that there’s a relationship between hikari and Liam which was also left unexplored because after the intro they were both sidelined throughout the rest of the movie which is really annoying. I’m also a shipper of Liam and Theo as I know others are 👀but honestly for whatever reason, even after only having Liam and hikari for like five minutes I do actually think they’re cute together and if we got to see more of that, I would totally watch it.

I love how malia is still the same when it comes to her thoughts and honesty 😂 glad they didn’t change that too much about her. MALIA AND PARRISH!!!?? I never would’ve guessed they be a thing and I’m not mad about them either, I mean they were pretty hot together but I did find it a bit random and unnecessary.

Derek hale has a son and his name is Eli, I think all The Hale family members seem to have really cool names, don’t ask me why I’m focused on that, I just am lol. Seeing derek have a new family considering he lost all of his other loved ones and his pack got killed made me really happy, I think it’s a logical way to grow his character since we’ve already kind of seen him as a brother and mentor type figure to Scott. genuinely thought we’d only ever see him have kids in fanfics but now it’s canon and I can’t believe it. I am surprised at his death, I was scared earlier on when his neck was bleeding so it was even more devastating when he actually did end up dying later. Tyler did a great job playing Derek and I’m really glad the could get him back for the movie. Derek keeping stiles jeep and fixing it up just gave me all the sterek feels. And the fact that Eli grew up on stories of all the characters 😫

Eli Hale is easily one of the top three best things in this movie for me, he’s a perfect addition and the fact he has so much stiles in him just makes me appreciate his character even more. Maybe they wrote him that way on purpose to fill in for stiles/Dylan but that doesn’t bother me either cos I thought he was introduced really well. I love how they kept stiles part of the movie through Eli with his personality and his obsession with stiles jeep whichleads me to the relationship between Noah and Eli which I freaking adored. I honestly wish after dereks death that Noah would be the one to take in Eli instead of Allison and Scott. I think it would have been better for Scott to just be his mentor and alpha and keep that separate from being a father figure which Noah already kind of is (that’s how I see it anyway). Also Allison tried to kill Eli, so unless Eli’s forgiven her it doesn’t really make sense for them to be a family.

Scott to me felt like the character who changed the least out of all of them which is not a bad thing. I said earlier that I love how he stuck with deaton and dogs, you could see throughout the show his passion for it and I love that that hasn’t changed as he’s gotten older. although after seeing him in the whole firefighting situation at the start, I honestly could see him as a firefighter. He’s got super strength and hearing, like he’d be great at it. I’m glad they wrote it so him and malia were already broken up before Allison came back because I don’t think I could watch malias heart get broken by Scott still being in love with Allison. I thought the reunion between Scott and malia was really funny.

Allison is back!!! The shot where she’s walking and the two cars explode in the background was 🔥🔥 She was a pretty good bad guy, especially going after Eli and Derek because she was ruthless about it which reminded me of how Chris argent was at the start of the series when it came to Scott and Derek since he was pretty ruthless with them too. it was so creepy the way the nogitsune used her especially by pretending to be her mom which made me GASP 😮. And it was super heartbreaking that she didn’t have her memories too. When Scott told her he was still in love with her 😍 the looks they gave each other right after he said that, threw me back to the earlier seasons, it was really cute.

JR bourne did such a good job with chris’ reaction regarding Allison being back. He’s had such great character growth throughout the series and he’s just even more badass in the movie. Also when he was swearing 😏🔥 wish we got to see more of him and Melissa, I’m assuming they’re still together since there was a small hug between them after everything was over but it’s not enough for me lol I need more, I loved them in the show. Another person on tumblr (can’t remember their username sorry!!) said they finally got Melissa a weapon!! and I had the exact same thought, she’s awesome.

Peter had the most Peter hale entrance to the movie and I loved it, I still think he’s an asshole tho lol. Also that scene when they were at the cliff and he’s on his hands and knees sniffing at the ground was really funny to me.

They could not have had mason and Liam further away from eachother throughout the entire movie like wtf, not even a little acknowledgement like a hug between them or anything. With mason being a deputy, I thought made sense because he had the brains and the whole problem solving thing similar to stiles so him being a cop and using his researching abilities etc to solve crimes and seeing him work with Parrish and the sheriff was cool to me since they weren’t really characters that interacted in the show… but if we’re being political I’m not sure if it makes sense since he’s young and black and I’m not sure if he’d buy into the whole “if you want to change the system, you have to be part of it” kind of thing, I don’t know if I’m reaching or reading too much into that but let me know what you guys think about it cos I’m not sure 😅

Lydia, oh Lydia. I love you. She’s a powerful woman, she’s got her own office, she’s all fancy, I love it I love it. Having to imagine her having nightmares of stiles being dead is horrible!! Like why couldn’t he just be on a special assignment some where as an fbi agent so he couldn’t be back to help them. Them not being together after everything is really sad and I’m just grateful they didn’t kill him offscreen. Anyway back to Lydia, when she screamed Allison it gave me chills and took me back to the earlier seasons too, glad to see they got a reunion hug between them. I love how she towed Jackson around with her and he still kept his attitude 😂 I laughed when he was talking about Ethan

Adrian harris, when he revealed himself I was genuinely shocked because I totally thought he died in the show so that was a pretty good plot twist to me, and the fact that he got dragged to eichen house!!! Lol you deserve it asshole.

I think the nogitsune was a good choice of villain to bring back, he’s creepy and manipulative and the fact that Scott’s bite managed to give him werewolf powers!!?? I didn’t see that coming at all!! I thought it was really cool like him turning into a werewolf was like the next level of him being a villian. Everytime the oni we’re on screen, the synchronicity between them had me on edge, watching the gang take them down was really cool, when Derek, Scott and Eli lined up to go after the nogitsune I cheered 😁 just seeing them together with all there different eye colours, I just thought it was really freaking cool.

Throughout the movie I was thinking that if they wanted to kill the nogitsune they’d have to kill Allison too since they’re like connected or Allison would sacrifice herself and die again and I’m glad that wasn’t the case. When Allison had to shoot Scott with the arrows I really thought they’d kill him off and Eli would end up being the next generation kind of thing which is sort of what happened only Derek ended up sacrificing himself instead of Scott dying 😫 if I am being honest with you I think I could make peace with Scott dying if it meant Derek being able to raise his son. The shot with Eli at the end really gives me hope for spin-offs in the future which I would definitely watch but I’m not sure others would be inclined to agree with me. I think the movie was kind of choppy and think that if it was made into limited/mini series like somewhere between 4-8 episodes then it would flow a lot better and would be a lot more appealing to most folks, characters would get better screen time between them, we could get flashbacks (I mean there’s a 15year time jump, stuff has happened!), proper funeral for Derek, I don’t know…I think they could’ve made it work for a tv show. Feel like it’s inappropriate to think about this since it was a eulogy/funeral scene, but omg everyone looked super hot in their outfits - Chris in a turtleneck, Allison in a suit and skirt, Noah in the black suit, Melissa and Lydia’s dresses, Peters suit was next level of course… just they looked really good ok 😫😍

Eli is a lacrosse player and it reminded me of Scott and stiles when they were first on the team 😊 it was hilarious when coach made Scott get back into the game even tho he’s and adult
