Comin’ in Hot: Seven Things to Know About our New Heat Shield
What goes up, must come down, and from space, without burning up in an atmosphere. That’s why we’re pumped for the Low-Earth Orbit Flight Test of an Inflatable Decelerator, or LOFTID. Launching on Nov. 1, 2022, with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) Joint Polar Orbiting Satellite System-2 (JPSS-2) mission, this technology demonstration marks the next step in advancing an innovative heat shield design that could one day be used to land heavy payloads – including humans – on Mars!
Tumblr media
Here are seven things to know about this innovative re-entry system:
1. LOFTID is the first-ever in-orbit test of this technology.
Inflatable heat shields, called Hypersonic Inflatable Aerodynamic Decelerators (HIADs), have been in the works for more than a decade. In 2012, the third of the Inflatable Re-entry Vehicle Experiments (IRVE) launched on a suborbital sounding rocket from the Wallops Flight Facility, demonstrating a 3-meter (10-foot) diameter inflatable heat shield.
Tumblr media
But the LOFTID re-entry vehicle, at 19.7 feet (6 meters) in diameter, will be the largest blunt body aeroshell to ever go through atmospheric entry. Designed to withstand temperatures as high as 2900°F (1600°C), this first-ever in-orbit test of this technology will prove if it can successfully slow down large payloads – such as crewed spacecraft, robotic explorers, and rocket components – enabling them to survive the heat of re-entry at planetary destinations with an atmosphere.
youtube
2. You can find out how this tech works in real-time.
LOFTID is unique in that all operations will happen within a few hours of launch. After the JPSS-2 satellite safely reaches orbit, the LOFTID vehicle will separate from the upper stage of the Atlas V rocket and begin re-entry into Earth’s atmosphere. If all goes as planned, the technology will help the vehicle decelerate from hypersonic (more than 25 times faster than the speed of sound) down to subsonic flight, less than 609 miles per hour for a safe splash down and recovery from the Pacific Ocean.
While in flight, engineers at NASA’s Langley Research Center will receive location data every 20 seconds and onboard sensors and cameras will record more comprehensive data about the technology’s performance. You can get a behind-the-scenes look at Langley’s Flight Mission Support Center where the LOFTID project team will be monitoring the flight test at NASA.gov/live following the launch.
Tumblr media
3. A lemon-sized capsule ejected into the Pacific Ocean will hold key flight data.
The LOFTID re-entry vehicle will record both sensor and camera data during its flight. The data will include the temperatures and pressures experienced by the heat shield and will illustrate how well the technology performed during the demonstration.
Although the goal is to retrieve the LOFTID re-entry vehicle after it splashes down in the Pacific Ocean, the team wanted a back-up option just in case they can’t recover it. Enter the tiny yellow package called an ejectable data module (EDM) which will also record flight data. The EDM will be released from the spacecraft at an altitude of about 50,000 feet. It will free fall into the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Hawaii and should land within 10 miles of the spacecraft’s splash down location. A recovery team, that has practiced hide-and-seek of the EDM on land and sea, will use GPS to search an approximately 900-mile area of the Pacific Ocean to find their “lemon.”
Tumblr media
4. This heat shield packs a punch.
Although NASA has historically relied on rigid aeroshells, parachutes, and retro-propulsion (rockets) to decelerate people, vehicles, and hardware during entry, descent, and landing operations, a benefit of inflatable heat shields is that they take up less space in a rocket, allowing more room for other hardware or payloads. LOFTID’s aeroshell has been folded and tightly packed down to 4 by 1.5 feet for launch and stacked in the United Launch Alliance (ULA) Atlas V rocket payload fairing.
Tumblr media
5. LOFTID is dedicated in honor of one of its innovators.
LOFTID was developed as a partnership with ULA and is dedicated to the memory of Bernard Kutter, ULA manager of advanced programs, who passed away in August 2020. Kutter was instrumental in advancing the inflatable heat shield design and developing the plan to test the system on an Atlas V rocket. He was an advocate for both space technology and expanding access to space. Kutter’s NASA and ULA counterparts agree that LOFTID is unlikely to have made it to space without his vision and passion.
youtube
6. LOFTID is made of tough stuff.
Synthetic fibers make up the inflatable structure, braided into tubes that are, by weight, 10 times stronger than steel. The tubes are coiled so that they form the shape of a blunt cone when inflated. The thermal protection system that covers the inflatable structure can survive searing entry temperatures up to 2,900 degrees Fahrenheit. Researchers used the same heat-shielding materials to create a fire shelter prototype for firefighters battling forest fires.
youtube
7. You can make your own LOFTID Halloween costume!
Still looking for an out-of-this world Halloween costume? With a few commonly found materials, like orange pool noodles and duct tape, you can create your own LOFTID costume. However, we make no promises of protecting or slowing you down from becoming the life of the party.

Jungkook is an incredibly precious human being. He’s bratty, and sweet, and meticulous, and charming, and calculating, and assertive, and introverted, and above all, hand-fistingly, brow-scrunchingly, high-pitched-wailing into the night, cute.
He’s so cute it almost destroys me.
Tumblr media
The trust he has in ARMY, is something I hope we never take for granted. It’s rare, and many would argue unwise to consistently express such vulnerability to millions of people who may have their own motives. And nobody knows that more than Jungkook - a multi millionaire who has lived in the spotlight for almost a decade. And yet, with ARMY, when he feels anxious or can’t sleep or whatever, he feels comforted being with ARMY, being watched by ARMY, sharing tiny bits and pieces of himself with ARMY.
Goodness.
I hope y’all are saving up for JJK1. He’s clearly working hard at it, and he’s said since last year he’ll be releasing music after Yoongi.
And this is more or less confirmed
Tumblr media
Edit (because someone DM’d me they can’t understand the chart. Sorry btw. Sometimes I forget Korean isn’t very accessible. So here’s a key to understand the chart.)
Stars: albums - the letters within the stars indicate whether it’s a mini, full, solo, or repackage album.
M : mini-album
J : full-album
U : unit/solo-album
R : repackage-album
日: Japan-album
Blue-shading : concert/tour
Grey shading : fanmeet
*
Personally, I’m prepared to go all out, as I have for Jimin and Yoongi’s releases, year to date. With JK’s musical output so far, I’ve resigned myself to the possibility his album could be the poppiest of the seven, and that’s not really my taste tbh. But I’ll be looking forward to it because even his pop-py, EDM-laced preferences are executed well, and it’s always possible he blindsides me and surprises me with a very different sound than what many expect of him.
Either way, he’s working hard so I trust the product will be excellent.
I hope we’re all gearing up to run this race again, this time with JK as the Bora-flagbearer. Like with Jimin’s FACE, and Yoongi’s D-DAY, it will be a race in two parts: a sprint then a marathon.
Please stay hydrated, take your vitamins, check your iron levels, take care of yourself, and prioritize the boys if they’re the reason you’re here. The competition will be fierce, solo stans will raise hell, and everyone will want a piece of him. It would be nice if the core fandom can manage to keep their heads on straight and focus on Jungkook.
Aside, JK’s sleepy Wlive reminded me of a VCR that’s haunted me for years.
This one:
Tumblr media
Maybe it’s the same sleepy pose, and the eyes…
Actually, the whole Serendipity MV comes to mind when I remember JK’s Wlive. And Jimin is the reason.
Tumblr media
*
Sigh, these men.

🏎️܆ ͟͟͞͞  =    —     𐀔 ( 𖠵 )  ‎ ،  ‎ so let’s ride! is the first full album by arm candy that was managed by multiple companies. in a cross event between ideal music, mystic story, and plus plus ent, it immediately made waves as an innovative approach to the ever-evolving musical landscape. although the concept strays from what the group usually does, kpop’s boyfriends never disappoint in any release.
→ delivered to @ratedstar for ficswap!
Tumblr media
① inspired by 90s hip-hop culture, racer aesthetics, living life in the fast lane, and choosing a good time over a long time.
originally supposed to be a mini album, so let’s ride! spiralled into an amalgamation of reviving scrapped music and bringing as many music producers into one room as possible. what should have been four tracks max decidedly became twelve tracks in total, all spanning above three minutes. various outcries from fans of the companies’ other groups demanding this treatment went unheard, as per usual.
every song played its part in bringing together the whole, but there’s no doubt that various tracks stood out from the rest.
01 : AS THE RUSH COMES is an ambient introduction to the otherwise fast-paced synth-pop album. with airy vocals describing the descent into a fantasy, one could interpret it as the listener beginning to dive deeper and deeper into the rest of the track list. three minutes and forty-two seconds long.
02 / .5 : AUTOBAHN is one of two title tracks. the texturized instrumental is the pillar of the song when the enticing tokyo drift-reminiscent visuals simply aren’t enough. the song solidified itself as a staple in arm candy’s discography immediately, demonstrating their duality. three minutes and eighteen seconds long.
03. / .5 : TALK SAXY is the second title track of two. left behind is the racer concept as arm candy go full 2000s boy band multiplied by infinity. they return to their roots, even going so far as downscaling the quality and filming the choreography in an upsized cheese grater. the saxophone which is heard all throughout the song adds that perfect addictiveness to an already catchy track. three minutes and eleven seconds long.
04 : GO BIG OR GO HOME is a future-house song which blew up on social media after various edits of the members. it gradually gained the attention of european countries, specifically the united kingdom. what was once a throwaway track developed into a certified club special. three minutes and twenty-two seconds.
05 : SUPER CAR may be the most jarring out of the entire album, written by jeyeol of dachi. it is heavily influenced by edm and electronica in which the members brag about their achievements and appearances. three minutes and thirty-five seconds long.

other people can do this idc but what og song(s) made you fall in love w each dj unit in d4? like, what song made you go "oh this unit IS good."
will go in unit order of L!H!G!! w explanations on why/how:
hapiara - trance tours it took me a WHILE to properly take a liking to hapiara (sorry). jsyk i didn't start w the anime so i didn't have that connection w them when i started playing. trance tours was one of the songs i just went "ehh fuck it sure i'll play it for fun" and then got blown away by the guitar and their vocals in there. i love guitar.
peaky - stormy link LISTEN. LISTEN. it isn't because of yuk.aeso but when i heard that beginning part w the synths it hooked me in so bad. i was so used to the ~130 bpm and 180-185 peaky songs i didn't listen to the other ones at the time. big bang and electric countdown were nice but to me they didn't click w me until stormy link. it was different to the usual peaky songs and it sort of dragged me in.
photon - akatsuki (fruits mix) and wonder wonder trip it's a tie tbh bc i actually didn't start properly listening to photon until after i watched anime?? lmao? akatsuki fruit mix showed me a taste of the non-dance photon songs. it gave me a floaty feeling and i loved it a lot?? wonder wonder trip on the other hand made me feel excited and like i was going on a trip (wowwwww) w friends lol. kinda tho sad at the same time bc i lost connection w my friends and p much had no one (wow that got serious anyway--)
m4 - boom boom shake it sound like a edm filipino christmas song remix. this song made me realize "wow these girls are siiiick" and made me love merm4id a lot more. lol. m4 is actually the unit that had a genre i was used to the most so,,, yea thats it tbh idk what to tell you. also the hard level chart scared me when i first started playing and it stuck w me.
rondo - prayer[s] and calendula WELL DUH IT'S THESE ONES. calendula and its lyrics spoke to me a lot at the time when i was Going Through It and prayer[s] was just sick as fuck ok? i felt like ascending and leaving the hell hole i was in at the time w both songs.
lyrilily - pining for the moon this song is actually the reason i kept playing d4dj. genuinely. i love this song so much, it's one of my top favorite lyrilily songs. it's so playful, chill, upbeat and happy. similar to rondo, it made me forget i was kinda not having a good time mentally. pining for the moon makes me relax a lot and im thankful for this song existing bc i wouldve have never fallen in love w d4dj..
call of artemis - do the dive ofc i count them duh. reminds me of old dance music so of course i love coa, raychell's vocals never disappoint me.
unichord - synchronicity call me basic or whatever but i genuinely loved synchronicity when i first heard it, even if it wasn't that popular when it first released. i sang the beginning part A LOT for weeks. lol.
abyssmare - raindrops and then now or never it took me a while to like them yeah GO AHEAD AND KILL ME IDC-- raindrops was the song that made me go "ok.... maybe theyre alright" and made me tolerate abyssmare's music and now or never is genuinely my most favorite abyssmare song. i love its vibe. that song cemented to me that abyssmare is one of my favorites. (aka all of them)

TOMORROW X TOGETHER Reflect on the ‘Sense of Pride’ Collaborating With Jonas Brothers for ‘Do It Like That’
Tumblr media
The fast-rising pop collab connected two superstar boy bands, as well as OneRepublic hitmaker Ryan Tedder, in ways that go beyond music.
TOMORROW X TOGETHER‘s highly anticipated entrance into the music industry in 2019 generated immense interest as the latest addition to the esteemed roster of Big Hit Entertainment (now BIGHIT MUSIC), whose strong music history was laid by chart-toppers BTS and innovative singer-songwriter Lee Hyun.
Meanwhile, a cornerstone of TXT’s musical story has been the array of worldwide collaborators including global hip-hop stars (Coi Leray, iann dior, pH-1, Woodie Gochild), rising singer-songwriters (Salem Ilese, Seori, Lilas Ikuta), punk-rock icons (ModSun), EDM heavy-hitters (Alan Walker) and more. With TXT’s prime-for-pop-crossover smash “Do It Like That” alongside the Jonas Brothers, fans saw how the process goes beyond music.
Ahead of the July 7 release of “Do It Like That,” the K-pop stars shared a series of teaser videos to piece together their biggest Top 40 moment yet. Amid the U.S. leg of TXT’s Act: Sweet Mirage world tour, the quintet jetted off to meet OneRepublicfrontman Ryan Tedder in the studio. While the super-producer behind multiple Hot 100No. 1s already pumped some mainstream magic into the track, adding TXT’s Republic Records label mates in the JoBros expanded the song’s appeal to a broader generation of boy-band fans for maximum pop appeal.
With nearly 20 million views on YouTube since its release, the song is beginning to connect worldwide in its quest to become—as TXT’s eldest member Yeonjundescribes it—”the perfect summer track” for 2023.
TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s Yeonjun, Soobin, Beomgyu, Taehyun and HueningKai‘s took a moment to delve into the collaboration with Billboard to share behind-the-scenes anecdotes, aspirations for the song, who would make the best TXT/JoBros sub-unit and the latest message to their fans, affectionately known as MOAs.
youtube
Billboard: Tell us more about how TOMORROW X TOGETHER and the Jonas Brothers came together for “Do It Like That.” Have you ever previously connected with Jonas Brothers, or was anyone a longtime fan?
YEONJUN: It was our first time meeting Jonas Brothers for this collaboration and I had personally been a fan of their music growing up and even practiced with their music as a trainee, so it felt surreal to be working with them. “Do It Like That” seemed like the perfect summer track and when Jonas Brothers also expressed their interest in the single, we met up in the States during the U.S. leg of our world tour in May to make this collaboration happen.
TOMORROW X TOGETHER has collaborated with several artists, but we got to see you meet, interact and record fun content before the song release. What was the vibe like? Any fun stories from the day?
TAEHYUN: From recording the track to shooting content, this collaboration was such a fun project. Jonas Brothers were even cooler in person and their friendliness helped us work together in a chill environment.
BEOMGYU: Jonas Brothers were incredibly welcoming from the moment we met. They were just as enthusiastic as we were about shooting content, which we really appreciated.
YEONJUN: We gifted Jonas Brothers our most recent album The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION! We shot a lot of content together, and I remember being pleasantly surprised by how good they were at filming TikTok videos.
Do you want fans to look out for anything specific in the music video?
HUENINGKAI: Viewers will be able to see how much fun we had on the set if they pay attention to TOMORROW X TOGETHER and Jonas Brothers’ facial expressions and gestures within the music video!
Fans loved Jonas Brothers’ sharing “concept photos” in the style of TOMORROW X TOGETHER on social media. Did you enjoy?
HUENINGKAI: We thought their concept photos turned out really well and felt a sense of pride seeing the positive reactions from fans.
In what ways do TXT and Jonas Brothers have similarities, and in what ways are they different?
TAEHYUN: I’d say TOMORROW X TOGETHER and Jonas Brothers are both artists who have a jam-packed discography with quality music. We, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, are not related by blood like Jonas Brothers, but the five of us are a band of brothers too and a family nonetheless.
What are your personal and professional goals with this single?
SOOBIN: It would be amazing to achieve good results on the Billboard charts with “Do It Like That,” but more importantly we hope that this single acts as a window for more people to discover TOMORROW X TOGETHER and get to know us.
Sometimes K-pop groups split into “sub-units” for certain performances or albums. What would be the best combination if one member of TXT and Jonas Brothers formed a duo?
BEOMGYU: I think HUENINGKAI and Nick Jonas would make the perfect duo because their vocals complement each other very well.
TOMORROW X TOGETHER has a lot of big things coming up: Headlining Lollapalooza 2023, a Disney+ documentary, of course this new single. What’s your message to fans as you roll it all out?
SOOBIN: We can’t spoil too much, but including our new single, we have a lot of exciting plans coming up for the rest of the year beyond what you mentioned. It’s a busy time for us, but we’re thankful and working hard to put our best foot forward for the many opportunities to meet our MOA. As always, we would appreciate our MOAs’ excitement and support every step of the way!

mulling some stuff over and the recent timeline theory I rbed had me thinking- might have to modify the date of when characters were spawned in redux au.
First big one is I'll most likely have to make Phantom a late-stage release, with a purpose to combat Corrupted Units. Another Creator in redux would have snuck him into the code without Luni noticing
This also means Phantom will have trouble getting along with other Units because he's new and mysterious, making him look aloof and distant as similar to his personality in canon, but with more anxiety. classical music is still a comfort for him since many pieces have a consistent tempo for him to focus on (Cyko finds similar comfort in EDM* lol)
Additionally, Reaperess Magy will be promoted to a similar role but still has the training program to run
I'm slowly adding to the roster of Units that were sacrificed to the Corrupted army that Luni is building during the first Corruption Event and delegating most of the canon GW guest/cameo/volunteer designs to the Corrupted army by default if they don't get designs (sorry Nyxeria Luiselle- you're too stereotypical for me to feel comfortable fixing) so that I don't get anyone on my ass about changing them.
GW in this case will be unrelated to any of the other canons and as such, any characters exclusive to those canons will not be involved (sorry senpaibuns, carolina, pandora, tela, myo- you get it). characters that are crossed over may reference those canons but the focus will be on GW.
*- we both quite enjoy EDM but a new one he also enjoys is phonk. I explained to a friend recently that I liked phonk bc 'the skipping in the music sounds like my brain skipping around and stopping in the middle of a train of thought before moving on' and we're both ADHD as hell lol
looped this song for a hot minute while writing this

"Like the things that once filled our world with beauty, the dreams we had for the future died."
TW1ST: 180° is the second extended play by South Korean girl group, TWIST. The album was released on May 5, 2017, through JYL Records. Consisting of nine songs, including the three singles, “Come Back Home”, “Triangle”, and “Overdose”. Musically, the album spans between R&B, hip hop, EDM, metal, and dance-pop. The group earned the title ‘self-produce’ group as all members have taken the lead in the album production. “Come Back Home” was written and composed by Chaeyoung and Hyerim, whereas “Overdose” was composed by Sohye and written by Hyerim. “Triangle” is the first track that contains credits from all the members, in which the live arrangement consisting of an electric guitar and violins were composed by Sohye and Chaeyoung, while the lyrics were written by Mina and Hyerim.
As a sequel to their first eponymous extended play, TW1ST, 180° was a commercial success. The album debuted atop the Gaon Albums Chart, with over 400,000 copies sold in the first week, with Twist breaking their own record for having the highest girl group first week album sales, which was previously held by the predecessor album known as TW1ST. By the end of 2017, 180° had sold over 700,000 copies, making Twist hold the top two selling girl group albums of the year.
The lead single, “Come Back Home”, debuted atop the Gaon Digital Chart with other 567,888 digital units sold in the first week of release. The song remained atop the chart for four consecutive weeks. The second single, “Overdose”, debuted at number two on the Gaon Digital Chart with 309,362 digital units sold. In the first week of June 2017, “Overdose” rose to the summit of the chart with a huge increase in sales after the group held a one-time performance at the Apollo Theater in New York City, leading the performance to gain popularity. “Overdose” topped the Gaon Digital Chart for seven consecutive weeks. Due to the sudden traction from the viral performance, “Overdose” peaked at number 10 on the US Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100. The third single, “Triangle” peaked at number 80 on the Billboard Hot 100 for the week of September 3, 2017.
For the album’s release, a special “TWIST Comeback Show”, hosted by a collaboration of Mnet and MTV, was broadcast live worldwide on May 6, 2017. The show consisted of performances from the following albums: TW1ST and 180°.
Promotions for the album focused primarily on South Korea and the United States. Twist were apart of the following lineups:
Dream Concert
SBS Super Concert
Incheon Korean Music Wave
American Music Awards
KCON NY
Tumblr media
TRACKLIST:
Crush
Like It
Bye Bye

ERA HIGHLIGHTS:
It was difficult to follow up to the release of TW1ST, the general public counted them out, but Twist came back FIGHTING!
Come Back Home topped all the real time charts, earning 50 perfect-all-kills.
Overdose was the REAL hit of the album! It became bigger than Come Back Home and earned 73 perfect-all-kills.
Overdose debuted in the Bubbling Under on Billboard at number 10!
Sohye had a vengeance. After a winter of taking violin, guitar, and writing lessons, she composed Overdose as her first project. She then enlisted Hyerim to help her with the lyrical material of the song. 2HYE lives on!
Mina joined the cast of Hello Counselor, to give advice to individuals!
As a gift for such a successful first half of 2017, Twist went on vacation to Malaysia!
To get to know the members more, Chaeyoung began her own radio show; Chae’s Clubhouse, where the Twist members and other idols are interviewed every week.
Performance Highlights (Iconic Moments / Popular Performances):
On 050417, the official comeback stages for Come Back Home and Overdose took place at Mnet Countdown. The stage for Come Back Home was rather futuristic, inspired by The Matrix and TLC’s ‘No Scrubs’. Each member had a white monochrome and colorful latex outfit suited for them, as they would dance in unison. The Overdose set in comparison was rather dark, sleek, and simplistic with white greek statues surrounding the girls. The beginning of the performances shows 20 backup dancers in the form of a choir as they surround Twist. Chaeyoung and Hyerim are directing the orchestra before the song begins.
On 050717 at SBS Inkigayo, Twist descended onto the stage from the ceiling via a small shaft and broke the glass wall that is used as an entrance to their performance of Overdose. Notable moments include Sohye opening up the performance with an electric guitar solo which transitions into Hyerim’s opening verse, Chaeyoung and Hyerim’s duo rap at the bridge, and Mina’s high note before the bridge.
At The 2017 Mnet Asian Music Awards, Twist performed a symphony orchestra version of Overdose, which included 100 members and backup dancers on stage performing various string instruments of the melody. At the opening of the symphony orchestra segment, Mina has an operatic vocal solo stage and is followed by Sohye’s electric guitar solo segment. The girls are seen rising onto the stage in a ring of blue fire, which intensifies with every movement of the symphony behind them. Notable moments include a dance break before the bridge, Chaeyoung and Hyerim’s duo rap, Hyerim’s signature hand movement that commands the audience from each direction to sing or scream louder, and a solo Hyerim dance stage. The performance received critical acclaim and is listed as one of the most iconic MAMA stages.
At The 2017 Melon Music Awards, Twist performed a rock version of Triangle with an orchestra live band to enhance the live instrumental of the song. The girls are seen descending onto the stage as angels with fluffy white wings in a ring of pure white light (in contrast to the ring of blue fire they stood in at MAMA for Overdose). Notable moments include Sohye’s violin solo, Hyerim’s runway walk before her bridge (insp @ 3:01 here), Chaeyoung’s screamo rap, Hyerim’s high note at the end (4:30 here), and Mina leading a metal-insp dance break.

Key Glock Continues His May Hot Streak With a Flute-Driven New Banger
Tumblr media
An independent force in rap music since his teens, Memphis star Key Glock does not mess around. Offering a taunting warning to anyone who might try him, the Paper Route Empire artist shares "F*ck Around & Find Out," his new single and music video. "F*ck Around & Find Out" is an uptempo, flute-driven banger. Glock slides through the flute loops with panache, effortlessly stacking punchlines and flexes that he knows his competitors couldn't possibly match: "Yeah my shirt wrinkled, but I still brought that iron out/Beefin' with the kid, I guarantee you gettin' slimed out," spits Glock. In the video, now trending at #21 on YouTube, Glock retreats to the mountains of Colorado, vibing in his mansion with his custom Louis V slippers as he gets a haircut before his sold out Red Rocks show.
"F*ck Around & Find Out" is the second of five new singles that Glock plans to release this month. "F*ck Around & Find Out" follows last week's "The Greatest," a Bandplay-produced single. Earlier this morning, Glock shared the video for "The Greatest," showcasing his custom yellow Cybertruck. The five-pack of singles arrives during the fifth month, and serves as a tribute to Paper Route Empire and Glock's cousin and mentor Young Dolph. #PRE5L
youtube
The new singles and music videos arrive on the heels of "Let's Go (Remix)," which reunites Key Glock and Young Dolph over triumphant production. Peaking at #59 on the Billboard Hot 100, Dolph's remix added fuel to the fire of "Let's Go," which was already one of the biggest hits of Key Glock's career. The song racked up hundreds of millions of streams, reached the Top 5 on Urban Radio, and has earned play in sports stadiums across the globe. The song inspired a cinematic video, directed by Chris Villa, a 7-minute epic for which the young rapper learned fight choreography and did his own stunts (10 million views to date). The song is a mainstay on the Billboard Hot Rap Songs chart (#20 peak) and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart (#20 peak), and spent nine weeks on the Billboard Hot 100. "Let's Go" is the standout track from Glockoma 2 (Deluxe), an expansion of his February 2023 album Glockoma 2, which spent 8 weeks on the Billboard 200, peaking at #13. Last month, Key Glock united with Brazilian producer Alok, one of the world's most popular EDM artists, for a high octane "Let's Go" (Alok Remix).
Tumblr media
In April, Key Glock performed for the first time at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado, headlining a bill that also featured Young Nudy and BigXThaPlug. The young rapper sold out the show, performing his hits in front of 10,000 adoring fans, and even inviting a lucky few onstage to rap along with songs by Key Glock and Young Dolph. The Red Rocks performance continued momentum that started in 2023 with Glock's fast-selling SiriusXM’s Hip-Hop Nation Presents: Key Glock – Glockoma Tour,” with support from XXL Freshman TiaCorine, Dallas riser BigXThaPlug, and his PRE associates including Kenny Muney and Jay Fizzle.
Now with more than 15 million monthly listeners on Spotify, multiple Hot 100 hits to his name, and 59k tickets sold in 2023 alone, Key Glock is on the brink of taking his no-holds-barred Memphis sound to the mainstream. Stay tuned for much more music from Key Glock in May.

The rap-unit did their thing. This was a fun, harmless hip-hop track with a catchy hook and upbeat edm beat I can shake my ass to.
tripleS "Girls Never Die"
youtube
This is the OT24 debut, and while I like the concept (as usual) the song is a mid-tempo jazz infused pop track that lacks a punch. The "lalalala" part works as a hook but still, I wish they would have done a bit more with the track.
Stray Kids feat. Charlie Puth "Lose My Breath"
youtube
The song had potential, the chorus is really good and catchy, but overall, the track is too busy. There is too much going on for a song under 3 minutes. They should have actually let the song breathe! Also, the autotune is severe and the comical background noises unnecessary.

do you have a must listen for tvxq songs? thank u!!
i do !! i am gonna go with mostly tvxq duo songs but if you want to know some recs pre-split lmk (or just check some of the most popular songs on their artist pages on streaming services)
the chance of love: their last album release in korea (it's been years rip) but it's literally the best song ever. like absolute smash hit banger kings of adult pop and suit concepts
keep your head down: their comeback song after the split. bad bitches uniting, they had one chance to not be kicked to the curb by sm too and they took it. reinvented music as we know it.
humanoids: actually the best repackage of any kpop album ever and this song blueprinted anything you see 4th gen boy groups do nowadays. fathers and kings of noise music of edm !!!!
viva: legendary iconic incredible killer most amazing b-side from the humanoids album. she has legend status in the fandom for good reason!
light my moon LIKE THIS: yunho and changmin made two separate solo songs for their jpn releases and then those songs got combined to one tohoshinki song and it's the gayest things they've done in years. happy pride month
before u go: rnb excellence from the vocal kings. the second half of this song is just both of them going off the hinges with their voices, which is perfect. people always mention changmin's vocals (rightfully! the king of kings) but yunho is always matching him on these songs bc he is that good.
jealous: my favourite tvxq / tohoshinki song from my favourite album XV. this song has everything. strong guitars, vocal harmonies that go crazy where yunho gets the lead harmony, asinine horny lovesick lyrics ... a toho classic!
the reflex: b-side from their tohoshinki summer release last year and another song of the century. whoever @ avex chose for them to sing about pining after your long lost now married ex-flame ... i owe you millions for the spectacle
spellbound: another legendary song in the fandom .... for many their best album title track / best era overall. it's definitely up in the top 5 minimum bc their music is so damn good. spellbound i love u no one can be u and that is ur power
disvelocity: a hidden gem !!!! the legend the most iconic. my personal favourite tvxq b-side it goes so crazy. it is legit just so good and one of my fave songs ever
hope this little list helps you check them out heheeee <3333

Might as well formally introduce myself for this app:
My name is Extolant, I’m a EDM producer and performing DJ from the United States! I’ve been producing a little over 5 years and have played shows in a few different states. I’m most notable from my Twitter where I shitpost often.
For my day job I’m a Biomedical Equipment Technician, and I was formerly an Arcade Technician.
I’m primarily an FL Studio user with a bit of experience in Bitwig. My workflow is slow though so it’s not often that I post new music. I’ll be promoting any future releases in this app as well as my other pages!

Billboard USA Exclusion Zone Episode 3 (02/25/2023)
Tumblr media
I'm glad that last week's chart is very chill and all that because this week not only we have Rihanna songs here because of Super Bowl, but also there are some Italian songs because of Sanremo (Italian song competition for Eurovision). Let's not waste anymore time we have 18 songs here so strap in!
-----------------------------------------
22. "Lost" by Linkin Park
With Meteora being almost a decade old, Mike Shinoda decided to released basically a B-Side album with this being the lead singles. This song made me realized that Meteora has hold up so well that even its B-side and demo sounds like something that would be released today.
29. "Cenere" by Lazza
Okay we have five Italian songs debuted this week thanks to Sanremo, so I will keep these pretty brief. The first song here is a downbeat dance tune that I would like more if it wasn't for Lazza himself being a non-presence.
32. "Due Vite" by Marco Mengoni
I think out of all the language in the world, Italian language is probably the perfect language to sing ballad in. Beside that, I love the piano here.
42. "Supereroi" by Mr.Rain
Is this guy recording his vocal with an ASMR mic because he's way too close to the mic and mixed so up in the mix. Also did you really have to use a thunderstorm sound effect just because your stage name is Mr.Rain?
71. "Diamonds" by Rihanna
Now we are in the Rihanna portion of the show and ending your performance with this song is kinda inspired, even if I found this song to be overwritten and Rihanna sings like her cheek got stung by a bee.
76. "Facilita Ai" by Ze Felipe
Okay how do I describe this song hmm...Imagine if you make a progressive EDM song but you are DJ Mustard and you only have Brazilian preset on your FL Studio. Take that as you will.
77. "We Found Love" by Rihanna ft. Calvin Harris
Speaking of EDM probably one of the biggest EDM songs of all time. And yet, with how versatile Calvin Harris can be, this is probably his most basic production work ever and yes even more than Summer.
94. "Love On The Brain" by Rihanna
It's kinda interesting how most Rihanna songs that charted in Global Excl US chart this week are either her pop songs or RnB songs...with one big examples that we'll get to. (Though I wish Needed Me charted here)
104. "IL BENE NEL MALE" by Madame
I think our of the Sanremo songs debuted, this song is my favorite. It sounds like early 2010's synthpop songs that emphasis on heavy low end.
126. "Only Girl (In The World)" by Rihanna
And this is probably the best EDM/club Rihanna song. I especially love the soaring chorus with the synth goes one semitone higher in the last chorus.
142. "Stay" by Rihanna ft. Mikky Ekko
This song is boring yada yada yada. The most interesting thing about this song is that the most notable thing that Mikky Ekko has done after this song is making a song for a Netflix series called "A Babysitter's Guide to Monster Hunting".
145. "Fighting" by BSS ft. Lee Young Ji
Okay not gonna lie this song by the special unit for SEVENTEEN is probably the best song debuted this week. It's just a burst of energy through and through and that rap break bruhhhhhh.
152. "La Bebe" by Yng Lvcas
I think the biggest winner for this Winter of 2023 is definitely Mexico with now their reggaeton artist having a hit. Shame that this song is boring.
169. "En La Intimidad" by Emilia X Big One X Callejero Fino
I think if the drum isn't like the biggest thing about this song (literally) I would've enjoyed this song.
172. "Bitch Better Have My Money" by Rihanna
I'm so glad that she brought back this song in the Super Bowl because holy shit this song kinda aged well? Still though this song doesn't suit Rihanna at all lmao. If you wanna hear the good rap Rihanna song go listen to Lemon, her collaboration with NERD
193. "Where Have You Been" by Rihanna
Yeah I don't hate this one as much as the shadowy figure with a piano has led you believe. This is because I played too much of this song on Just Dance 2014 and it became a part of my childhood. Also please Ubisoft work on the deal with Rihanna again thank you.
195. "Tango" by Tananai
This song sounds like a soundtrack to a FPS game about a battle in the Stalingrad and your protagonist is from Soviet Union.
196. "El Gordo Tras El Mando" by Chino Pacas
Okay now I can see why some people don't like this type of music. Why is that basoon (?) mixed so badly in this? This sounds so crispy and in the worst way.
I highly recommend you readers to listen to these songs.

god being a lesbian that has never had a lesbian friend is so fucking isolating. idk why it took me so long to realize why i always feel some sense of loneliness. in a world built upon comphet with very little lesbian spaces, let alone queer spaces, fuck it sucks. i love my friends but they are all so straight and 90% of my conversations with them involve talking about a man. and it is so mentally draining to pretend to be super invested and interested when in actuality i do not give a fuck. there’s so many things i’m interested in that i am never able to share with other people. i can talk for hours about critical role, the last of us, the cool mechanics of league, the amazingly complex book i just read, a new edm song my favorite artist released, the queer movies i watch, stupid lesbian drama and very relevant lesbian discourse, and none of my friends in real life see that side of me. there’s so much about me that even my best friends don’t even know about and it makes me feel so fucking alone sometimes. but to some degree i’m used to it, and i had to deal with that my whole life.
even living in arguably one of the most queer locations in the united states, how is it even possible that I don’t have a single lesbian friend? i try so hard to connect to people and it always falls flat. i have so much to share and nobody hears what i have to say. like damn i have a 600 dollar tattoo on my forearm and nobody takes interest in hearing why i love the game it’s from. so i suppose that’s why i resort to the internet. i am so so thankful i have the technology to connect to queer people across the world bc i certainly would’ve lost my mind by now if i was living in the 1800s.

ALBUM REVIEW TIME 👹
Today we are reviewing one of my fave kpop group’s new album MAXIDENT by Stray Kids with the title track Case 143
Tumblr media
I just wanna say how I’m so proud of these dudes, they write and produce their own music and their skills get stronger with every release 🫶🏻 anyway on to the review
Case 143 - 7/10 - it’s definitely interesting. I was worried i wasn’t gonna like it all that much based on the snippet on tik tok but it’s much better within the context of the whole song. This song does what they set up in the previous release Maniac and improves upon it. Although the first section of the chorus is jarring, its a huge ear worm and im addicted to it. If Stray Kids were going to do a love song this is exactly how i expected them to do it 😭 (also give the music video a watch you won’t regret it, it’s quite funny, felix gets slapped by a cooked chicken 😀)
Chill - 8/10 - a song written and composed by our Hannie!! His songs are always so nice!! This is a cool jazzy style r&b song. It takes some similarities from lofi music too and some classic hip hop beats and overall its so good. Han’s solo written and composed songs have only improved since debut and i love it so much!!
Give me your TMI - 9/10 - This one is for all my living tombstone fans and fnaf fans!! The crunchy instrumental is everything and the drop into the chorus is so interesting. Also when Changbin starts the song with a strong rap that seems like complete nonsense, you know the songs gonna hit!! But yeah keeping up with hip hop sounds, the incorporate crunchy edm and alternative rock style sounds too and it just makes this song so funky I love it!!
SUPER BOARD - 6/10 - where do i start with this song… the intro itches my brain so hard. The “nada da shooom super board” gets stuck in your head so badly 😭 the song leans into a more rock style but instead of an electric guitar riff, you get these synth sounds and it adds that retro flare to the song. Although the repetition of nada da shoom super board can get a bit annoying and lessens the replay-ability of the song for me
3RACHA (Bangchan, Changbin, Han) - 5/10 - this is well and truly a Drill song. Like this is something straight out of the streets of south london. The raps of our producing unit are satisfying to my ears however this style of music just isn’t my personal taste and i don’t think i would listen to it often. Not a bad song tho ✨also ik chan is australian but im claiming changbin and han as honorary brits for this song
TASTE (Hyunjin, Felix, Lee Know) - 8.5/10 - when Hyunjin described this song as a cold version of red lights he wasn’t wrong. They need to keep this man in the studio his brain is amazing. 4th member of 3racha?? Perhaps. Whenever you put Danceracha (this unit) in the studio expect a hoe anthem honestly. I’m very proud of how Hyunjin and Felix’s vocals have improved. Lee Know really gets to use his more powerful vocals and that makes me so happy!! Also the drop in this song is insane. Listening to it isn’t enough i need it shot into my veins 😭
Can’t Stop (Seungmin, I.N) - 7/10 - my vocalracha 🫶🏻 this is a pop rock style song. They worked with one of day6’s producers for this track which you can tell!! But it suits them so much!! Seungmin and innie’s voices are so lovely the drums and guitars are so strong. You will absolutely catch me dancing about to this song 😭 however i will say that the mixing between the vocals and the instrumental feels a bit off. Idk how to explain it. Also they cut off Seungmin’s high note, gonna sob.
Circus (Korean version) - 8/10 - This was the title track for their lastest Japanese mini album so i’ve heard if before. Its a bop. But I will say i think the korean version flows a lot better between the english lines and the korean ones. Where as the Japanese version felt a little too sharp?? But yeah Circus would slay is every language if we’re honest
Anyways, Maxident Album of the year. Also is you ever wanna talk to me about Stray Kids pls send me an ask, I love these dudes so much 😭🫶🏻
