HIIIII POOKIE I FREAKING LIVE YOUR BLOG :D
I do have a request that would be fluffy and interesting i think, maybe some headcannons about a “MCYT with a s/o who has cold urticaria”? It’s basically a rare allergy to the cold with hives and rash and everything. Like Cold weather, showers, Cold anything on the skin basically.
I'm mostly interested in Sapnap, Tommy and Schlatt, if you could do small headcannons for the Three I'd live to! But you can also choose only one of them, it's up to you!
HELLO POOKIE!! THANK YOU AND THANK YOU FOR THE REQUEST! I GOT YOU!! I will try my best to write these as accurate as possible, this is the first time i’ve heard of that so if anything is not accurate or seems wrong i am sorry!! i’ve also been WAITING for a sap request. i botched my sapnap fic and wanted a redemption😛
Various!myct x Gn!reader
Ft: Schlatt, sapnap, tommyinnit
Schlatt
-Schlatt would definitely do a ton of research after you told him about your allergy. He would want to make sure he knows EVERYTHING.
-he would stress if the AC in the house was too cold. Scared that you would break out. I don’t think it works like that though.
-He would make sure to let you shower first so you can get warm water. He also takes unnecessarily long showers and doesn’t want to make you wait on him.
-He has a jacket for you in his car incase there’s ever a drop in temperature when you guys are out and about.
-He also keeps burn and rash creams in his house and car for you.
Sapnap
-Same as schlatt, he takes the time to do research and educate himself and his roommate dream. He wants you to be comfortable and understood.
-He trust that you know your limits and boundaries. he’ll be cautious at times when his anxiety is high but then he remembers that you know yourself best and you’ve had this allergy for a while so you know how to handle yourself.
-He lets you have free rein of his hoodies and sweatpants, he thinks you look great in them as well.
-He would make stupid jokes like “Babe watch out! don’t die!” when you walk by the freezer section in the grocery store.
-He went out and bought medicine and lotions that help the rash and pain.
TommyInnit
-Like the other two..He did research. you have to do research to understand complex things like that yk? Him and his mom sat down and did some research and listened to you explain it.
-He definitely sat down with you and asked ALLLL the questions he had, very specific ones.
-He jokes with you anytime the temperature slightly drops, tommy has the worst timing with jokes sometimes and they’ll occasionally land wrong. You guys make up fine though.
-Definitely has a stash of blankets in his closet and carries around those hot hands things. you know the things that you shake and they produce heat? yeah those.
-He likes putting the rash lotion on you whenever you do breakout , he’s very gentle with it and enjoys doing it because it makes you feel better.

Hello! I saw your post about Wooyoung’s health condition and I was surprised that it seems like he has the same health condition that I do! Just wanted to spread some further light on the condition. This is, of course, based on my own experiences and might not reflect Wooyoung’s (especially because mine is pretty bad and I get flare ups VERY easily). For me, going out in the heat for just a couple of minutes causes a flare up. The rashes/hives will last for however long I am outside and typically remain for about 30 minutes to an hour once I start cooling off. It also isn’t really in isolated areas either, the hives are on your ENTIRE body. This means that not only are you really hot but you feel like clawing at your own skin because everything itches. I currently have to carry epi-pens with me everywhere I go on the off-chance that I go into anaphylactic shock since its basically like my body is having a severe allergic reaction to my own sweat. I’ve luckily never had to use these (super thankful for that). Also wanted to add a HEAVY emphasis on the rarity of this condition. I got misdiagnosed with a simple heat-rash like 3 times before a dermatologist finally told me that what I was experiencing was not normal.
With all this being said, I’m really glad that Wooyoung is on hiatus while they figure out what’s going on. Especially since he is often doing high-energy dances that will likely lead to flare-ups. I’m glad that he and his company are prioritizing his health because it’s really hard trying to figure out how to live with a condition like this, especially since there isn’t a lot of knowledge on it.
Also, if you’re interested in researching the condition to try and understand it a bit more, it’s called Cholinergic Urticaria. I hope this was informative to some degree! Feel free to ask questions if you have any and have a good day!
Hi! Thank you so much for this! I looked up the condition when KQ made the announcement and I, like others, could not really find this kind of information on the condition, I've seen a few people with this or similar conditions try to help explain to other fans what Wooyoung might be going through. I know he's said on Fromm that he's focusing on his health and taking medicine.
Thank you!

Cursed Herb: Nettle (Essay)
Tumblr media
I learned some time ago that in England there is a festival called a Nettle Eating Contest. I couldn't believe my ears. It is probably the raw nettle that is used, but a remarkable feature of this herb is that the mere contact of the leaves with the skin causes pain. This pain is caused by the fact that the nematocysts in the leaves contain formic acid, which is the substance that causes the pain. The so-called "urticaria" is actually a rash caused by nettle. Nettle translates to needle and describes the sensation of being pricked by a needle. If you get stung, you'll be in pain for a whole day. This plant is classified as a member of the Urticaceae family, but ``Aiko'', which grows wild in the mountains of Japan, is also called the queen of wild vegetables due to its delicious taste.
However, if you cook (boil) this nettle, the formic acid will be removed, and it is also an ideal food rich in vitamins and minerals. The flavor is quite strong, so I season it with ``konbu dashi'' which has a similar strong flavor.
It also has many medicinal properties,
1) Diuretic, anti-inflammatory effect
2) Is it effective against Alzheimer's disease because it contains a large amount of boric acid?
3) Since it also contains boric acid, it can be used to treat rheumatism.
4) Because it contains a large amount of silicic acid, it was used for gout and rheumatism.
5) Clean your mouth to remove plaque and gingivitis
6) Purify the blood
It seems like it has a lot of medicinal properties. I pulled it from the materials I have, but it seems that this is not the only medicinal effect. It's a herb with tons of medicinal properties.
Now, although nettle has such medicinal properties, I stopped growing it this year. Nettles are highly prolific, so the seeds that ripen can be scattered across the boundaries of your home. If you wonder what's wrong with it and it hurts all day long, it could be a problem with my garden management.
I would like to "eradicate" the nettle before that happens, but the nettle also does not wither easily. It's a strong plant.
Nettle, an herb with excellent taste and medicinal properties, is a cursed herb in the above sense.

Irritated skin can be caused by a variety of factors. These include immune system disorders, medications and infections. When an allergen is responsible for triggering an immune system response, then it is an allergic skin condition.
Atopic Dermatitis (Eczema)
Eczema is the most common skin condition, especially in children. It affects one in five infants but only around one in fifty adults. It is now thought to be due to “leakiness” of the skin barrier, which causes it to dry out and become prone to irritation and inflammation by many environmental factors. Also, some people with eczema have a food sensitivity which can make eczema symptoms worse. In about half of patients with severe atopic dermatitis, the disease is due to inheritance of a faulty gene in their skin called filaggrin. Unlike with urticaria (hives), the itch of eczema is not only caused by histamine so anti-histamines may not control the symptoms. Eczema is often linked with asthma, allergic rhinitis (hay fever) or food allergy. This order of progression is called the atopic march.
Allergic Contact Dermatitis
Allergic contact dermatitis occurs when your skin comes in direct contact with an allergen. For instance, if you have a nickel allergy and your skin comes in contact with jewelry made with even a very small amount of nickel, you may develop red, bumpy, scaly, itchy or swollen skin at the point of contact.
Coming in contact with poison ivy, poison oak and poison sumac can also cause allergic contact dermatitis. The red, itchy rash is caused by an oily coating covering these plants. The allergic reaction can come from actually touching them, or by touching clothing, pets or even gardening tools that have come in contact with the oil.
Urticaria (Hives)
Hives are an inflammation of the skin triggered when the immune system releases histamine. This causes small blood vessels to leak, which leads to swelling in the skin. Swelling in deep layers of the skin is called angioedema. There are two kinds of urticaria, acute and chronic. Acute urticaria occurs at times after eating a particular food or coming in contact with a particular trigger. It can also be triggered by non-allergic causes such as heat or exercise, as well as medications, foods, insect bites or infections. Chronic urticaria is rarely caused by specific triggers and so allergy tests are usually not helpful. Chronic urticaria can last for many months or years. Although they are often uncomfortable and sometimes painful, hives are not contagious.
Angioedema
Angioedema is swelling in the deep layers of the skin. It is often seen together with urticaria (hives). Angioedema many times occurs in soft tissues such as the eyelids, mouth or genitals. Angioedema is called "acute" if the condition lasts only a short time such as minutes to hours. Acute angioedema is commonly caused by an allergic reaction to medications or foods. Chronic recurrent angioedema is when the condition returns over a long period of time. It typically does not have an identifiable cause.
Hereditary angiodema (HAE)
Hereditary angiodema (HAE) is a rare, but serious genetic condition involving swelling in various body parts including the hands, feet, face, intestinal wall and airways. It does not respond to treatment with antihistamines or adrenaline so it is important to go see a specialist.
Skin conditions are one of the most common forms of allergy treated and managed by an allergist / immunologist, a physician with specialized training and expertise to accurately diagnose your condition and provide relief for your symptoms.
