What if Leo and Usagi kiss under a mistletoe. Will they actually do it?

(For those who have not seen the Christmas Aliens episode; Raph’s operating a movable mistletoe to help Casey get a kiss from April and Mikey is missing for most of the Christmas night, getting chased around the city by some thieves).

Well… no. Not yet anyway and for quite some time.

It’s 2004, world wasn’t very kind to gay people back then, or helped much with figuring things out for young queers (I would know, I was one). He still needs some time to precess. He just found his first best friend and he’s cool and strong and makes him happy and that’s all he wants to think about rn.

On the other hand feudal Japan was surprisingly okay with two men being involved romantically (despite the problematic side of things… good place to remind everyone 03 Usagi is a teen as well), so he’s a little confused by Leo’s mixed messages.

It’s okay, they’r still kids figuring things out. And when they will, there’ll be time for kisses.

Out of curiosity, do you think your Gemini fan kids could exist in the shows canon universe? Marsh and Lake are seriously so adorable I’ve low key accepted as Donnie’s kids in the shows future canon. Also how does the krang apocalypse play out in the Gemini AU? Is it prevented or is there maybe Gemini bad timeline?

Gosh, I dunno-- I guess I don't see why not! :3c I hadn't ever thought about it too much, but there really isn't a ton of reason that they couldn't, assuming Donnie and Sorrel still meet!

Also, there are Kraang in the Gemiverse! I haven't exactly sorted out all the details yet, but what I do know is that there's no good future/bad future... there's just one timeline! The Kraang do invade and Gems and Co. do kick it in the Apocalyptic Warzone for a while... but the whole fam survives and they do eventually win the war!!! (because anything else made me too sad ; w ; and I realized at some point that it's my au so i can just do whatever I want :D yay)

You like Casey Jones a lot. What do you think of her being shipped with April?

Yes.

It's prob the only ship I care about in rise. I like to believe if the show had like 7 seasons then this is where we'd end up. Casey/April is a TMNT classic. And rise's version is enemies to lovers + GAY? My recipe for an OTP.

Having said that, I am a little weary of capril in the fandom simply bc Casey is a VERY underrated character, and I HARDLY see her but when I do, it's shipping art/fics (I will say this is changing). But I fear sometimes that people only like her to ship but don't care outside of her being with april. The fandom hasn't even scratched the surface with casey's character post show/movie and I'm more interested in exploring that rn than the romantic side of things.

The Mattekudasai

I feel especially around you the Mattekudasai is extra chipper around you, practically begging to be picked up by you. If you do hold it in your palms, it does a cute little hop or nests on your hands like a real bird does. Usagi himself is probably a little flustered if you gush over his stand. Not to mention if you’re one of the first to quickly ask for something, the Mattekudasai jubilantly gets to work on it. (It even appears rather chipper you respond so quickly).

Sometimes this stand also likes perching on your shoulder, at a certain point it never really wants to leave you. (Much like Usagi himself), and tries to block your way when you try to leave to the best of its abilities.

"Kanon-" the twin on the left says, "and Anon Ouma," the sister on the left finishes before they say in unison, "we're really excited to meet you all!"

"Seiji Ouma is my name! Please don't be mean, and we can be friends! I'm the only boy, so don't pick on me too much..." the boy pleads softly.

"I'm Aki Ouma... and it's they/them, so don't mess up on purpose," they say curtly. Seems people must mess up on purpose to make fun of them often.

"And at last, I'm Machiko Ouma, Ultimate Model. So don't do anything weird, because I'll pepper spray you without a second thought," she warns, smiling at you before doing a curtsy. "It's a pleasure to meet you. So... may we have a promo?"

i was watching the usagi episodes of 2012 last night cause ive never seen them and theres so many moments where mikey cracks a joke and u see the others in the back giggling or smiling :’) they definitely stepped up the writing in the later seasons, in some areas at least. also the usagi episodes are genuinely so good i was like :0 the entire time watching them

oh yeah the last season of 2012? so much fun to watch. it's so silly but it really feels like they just went so gung ho with it. the animation also really floors me, it's so much better than say season 1. but yeah the writing! it feels a lot more fleshed out i guess? shame that we got some really good moments just as the show was ending but that last season doesn't get as good of a rep as it should imo. there's some really good moments in all those episodes :] guess the writers and animators wanted it to go out on a high, and it certainly did :D

I hate Usagi because of the TMNT fandom's use of him. He's just Leo's boyfriend and that's all apparently? I mean what about focusing on him being a samurai in his own story that exists? This is why I don't like him or Leosagi because Usagi just gets thrown in as Leo's boy toy that has zero characterization what so ever moving forward even the ones that add him to the story he wasn't in or exited in like rise just turn him into Leo's boyfriend. But he literally isn't a tmnt property and he has his own story that never gets talked about unless it's to ship Leosagi and that's why I hate him and the ship because he only exists to the tmnt fandom as Leo's boyfriend and he can be so much more than just that I wouldn't mind it so much if people focused on him as a character by himself and not just as Leo's boyfriend.

I get what youre saying and Im sorry you feel that way, I think they have a cute relationship personally but I can totally understand where you come from

Sometimes in Leosagi content it feels like Usagi doesnt have a personality outside of being Leo's boyfriend, and he has an incredible story of his own that rarely gets talked about

It would be nice to see the fandom explore his character a bit more and I would especially like to see the ninja/samurai dynamic between Leo and Usagi more

However I have no problem with people shipping characters from two completely different fandoms, people used to do it all the time

It doesnt sound like you hate him, it sounds like youre frustrated whenever you see him because the fandom only uses him as a love interest

Again, I think the ship is cute, Im not crazy about it but I see why people first began to like them (it all started in 2003 honestly, maybe even the 80s version), I occasionally get annoyed when all I see for them is theyre boyfriends with no regard to their characters (cause to me it goes both ways)

But at the end of the day, it just something that people like, its something that makes them happy
