Every time I think about the Tree of Feelings I can't help but be a little underwhelmed at how the most popular depictions of it is just. the tree. on a hill. surrounded by miles of nothing but grass and maybe a few houses in the distance.

You know what I want? I want Mei to be able to stand up to her parents after being built up confidence-wise by Wukong after they try to be jerks

I want Mei to stick up for herself and what she believes in and what she wants while Wukong watches from the sidelines proudly

It fits very well in my Valleys AU actually!

Xiaojiao has a lot of struggle with standing up for herself when it comes to her parents so she'd definitely have grown a lot to be able to talk to her parents without flinching. I think the best part is that it's on her own too; SWK's just watching and making sure it doesn't get violent (which is thankfully not something her parents would do but it was just a precaution)

Xiaojiao sets her foot down and says what she needs to say before turning away when they try to reason her into coming back to them

Good for her. Proud of her.

Since I did angel Sebastian, now we got demon Sebastian Went for a psychedelic style, the colors ended up looking really good altogether. At first I wanted to be more accurate to the reference I got the pose from, but this is far better imo. Also this time I left some of the sketch lines since I believe it gives the drawing a nice texture too!
