SIREI! Who else is hyped up for The Hundred Line Last Defense Academy game?! That title is such a mouthful LMFAO, but AHHH?! I just can't believe that a new Danganronpa game is coming!! LITERALLY OUT OF NOWHERE-- but I am not complaining! WOOHOO! Anyways, I drew the new mascot because they are a cutie! I am so excited to know who Sirei is! I hope he's friendly as his shape is!

Happy Pom Pom Friday!!!

Character/concept description:

Pom Pom is a virus/glitch formed by the scrapped side-scrolling arcade game from the early 90's “Pom-Pom Panic”. Pom Pom (the main character of Pom Pom Panic) for whatever reason gained sentience halfway during the game’s development. The game was cancelled halfway because the publishing company thought it was too bizarre of a concept and mascot character to gain interest. Pom Pom heard of the news and took it way too personally, as she literally cannot fathom why someone would think she’s ‘bizarre’-even to the point of getting ‘axed’. Prompted by the ‘poor judgement’ Pom Pom went rouge-breaking from her game to ‘axe’ any ‘approved’ game mascots/characters she thought could count as ‘bizarre’ like her.

people are drawing Steamboat Willie Mickey doing all this crazy shit and whatnot, but you could always do that. you can do that now, with current Mickey, just fine. it's fanart and it's legally protected. hell you could take Disney-drawn Mickey and put a caption about unions or whatever on it and it would still be protected under free speech and sometimes even parody law.

what is special about public domain is that you can SELL him. you could take a screenshot and sell it on a tshirt. you can use him to advertise your plumbing business. people have already uploaded and monetized the original film.

you could always have Mickey say what you want, but now you can profit off it.

The thing that gets me the most about so-called "mascot horror" is that, for all that it depends on predatory marketing toward a child audience, one of the most consistent througn-lines of the genre is that it seems to regard actual children as existentially horrifying. Every last one of these games apparently takes place in a universe where metastasising into some vast eldritch monstrosity is the normal course of childhood development, and it requires carefully maintained special conditions for the process of maturation to yield a regular-ass adult.

 Rambleberry Juice Punch

 Ingredients:

And why these people? What makes them special? And what happened to the handlers? I would appreciate any comments, theories, or overall opinions on this.
