Better dishes, better days

The hero and the villain finally team up to take down a mutual enemy. After long hours of planning (throwing hands eraser) and discussion (insults) they finally have it down. Hungry they go out to a new restaurant/bistro that just opened(aka neutral ground aka no one has the ins with the kitchen for poison), with a cuisine they barely know.

“The food was great!” Hero sidekick

“Omg yes I’ve never felt this satisfied. I could just lay in the sauce all day!” Villian sidekick

“Truer words have never been spoken, my friend!” Hero sidekick #2

“Yeah it was good. But I’ve had better.”

Everyone turns to the hero. “What do you mean ‘better’? You’ve never had this cuisine before ?!?” The hero’s sidekick and childhood friend states. “Yeah what are you on about?!?” “This was a masterpiece!”

While the hero tries to talk themselves out of this, the villain smiles smugly yet softly in memory of having cooked them this dish before.

Honestly, i hated it. Getting V killed made absolutely no sense and the ending kinda ruined the show for me. It makes me especially sad cause killing eve couldve been ~that~ show that breaks all the barriers and gets remembered as epic, but for some idiotic reason, they decided to go on the opposite way and now theyll be remembered as just another show w the burry your gays trope.

Everyone kept saying Eve was so cold and distant from V this season too.

Now we now it's cuz that absolutely Trash Can Writer was trying to show Eve was done with V. She wanted them platonic. Unhinged.

Honestly thank God for Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer who refused to play into the platonic way that Neal had written them. The small looks, the unvoiced yearning like when Eve closed the door when V was arrested.

They really did that for us and I love them. They knew their characters well and even given a shitty script still absolutely fucking served. Stan forever.

A scream of relief. A platonic kiss. Please. That's not what that was, no matter how much Neal wants to tell us otherwise.
