I also think it's nice that they made Camilla a sci-fi nerd and Luz a fantasy nerd. They're genres that are often seen as completely opposing one another by many people, which is what we're led to believe about Luz and Camilla in season 1. Luz is silly, nerdy, frequently in over her head and irresponsible and loves the boiling isles. We're led to believe that Camilla is the normal, conventional TV mother who'd be disgusted and terrified by the demon realm if she saw it.

Then yesterday's lie gives us a lot of nuance to this, and we realize that while they're still very different and now on opposite sides of a conflict, both mother and daughter are incredibly kind people (seen in their treatment of Vee) who love each other but struggle to make the right choices without hurting one another.

Then thanks to them drops all this Camilla characterization and we realize! She was a nerd too this whole time! The wedge between Camilla and Luz is motivated by past traumas and grief! and for the future has them switching sides on the central conflict of where Luz should stay (Camilla now wanting Luz in the demon realm because it's what's best for her, and Luz believing that staying in the human realm is what's best for the people she loves). They finally talk and realize that, like Willow pointed out earlier in the ep, the two are so alike. Camilla reveals that she's a secret nerd too! That she had a hard time growing up and accidentally hurt Luz trying to save her from the same fait! It's so important to me that Camilla keeps calling Luz a good witch. It's affirming her interests and goals, reminding her that she's just as good as the hero of her favorite story. And Luz finally only realizes that she wants to be understood...when she's finally able to understand her mom. When she realizes that the woman she loves and admires is just as much of a nerdy screw-up as her and that there's hope for her. Her palismen ends being multiple animals at once, showing both how Luz making unconventional choices (like carving an egg) keeps paying off for her and how her potential is limitless now that she finally knows and accepts her own goals, but to me it also reminds of the fact that Camilla is a vet and passed a love of all the weird and unliked animals (like wolves, possums, snakes, etc) to her.

It's just so so sweet and it really shows how much love and thought the crew put into this mother daughter storyline (FTF haters are not welcome on this page, respectfully). I can't wait to see how both of these misunderstood but healing women (who radiate "little/big sister" and "mom" energy respectively) are gonna interact with a) the lonely, easily manipulated and well intentioned but ignorant collector (a mix of both their interests as a magic being with a space motif! I just realized that lol) and b) the nasty puritan white man who's really obsessed with conforming to society's norms even when it literally doesn't benefit him at all.

Even though it aired ages ago I'm still not over Yesterday's Lie being such a buck wild episode. Just imagine what it's like for Vee to have never met Luz, to have barely even seen Luz, and then suddenly to live within the negative space around Luz's existence. Hearing this stranger's name constantly, seeing her picture in every room of the house, haunting her room like a ghost, learning every intimate detail of how her mother talks to her and dotes on her when it's just the two of them, and trying to square it with the secret knowledge that Luz abandoned this life and no matter how long Vee waits on tenterhooks Luz keeps not coming back. Looking in the mirror every single day and meeting Luz's eyes and thinking "how dare you" and "please don't ever come home."

Eventually, she finally starts feeling like this could be permanent. She tries to change her style, make this face and body and life into something that's hers instead of a stranger's. This is her best possible outcome and the closest she can come to being loved for who she is - stealing Luz's life and identity, but remaking it how she likes. The idea of being cared about and accepted as basilisk number five, as Vee, is something she can't consciously want because she can't even imagine it as a possibility. (Really, she even likes getting to pretend not to be a basilisk - fourteen years of trauma who? She's an ordinary teenager with nothing to unpack.) She tries to destroy her guilt by destroying every reminder of Luz - everything that's undeniably Luz's, that she can't steal and make her own, has to go. (The way she pauses at the picture of Luz as a child, before sweeping it into the trash box with everything else. Ice cold.)

And like some divine punishment or cosmic joke, Luz immediately returns. Vee looks into the mirror and sees a stranger again, and this time it's literal.

Once again, we have people in the Owl House fandom missing the point, so let’s talk about it.

This contains spoilers for The Owl House, season 3 episode 1, “Thanks to Them”. If you wanna go into the episode blind, scroll away.

So the 1st 6 minutes were released at a panel in NYC basically giving us a montage of events that were clearly supposed to be their own episodes. 1 of which was Vee deciding on a new human form since she obviously can’t use Luz’s form anymore. & once again, people are upset by the new design bc it doesn’t look “good” or match their headcanon. People are mainly upset that she doesn’t look like the Nocedas.

Y’all.

Why should she have to?

The only reason Vee took on Luz’s form in the 1st place is bc Luz was the 1st human she saw. & the next human she saw responded kindly to the form she picked out, so she stuck with it.

You all seem to forget that Camila may have been the 1st person to treat Vee w/ kindness, but she wasn’t the 1st person Vee cultivated a bond w/. Her bond w/ Camila was based on what Luz had already established.

The 1st bond that Vee created w/ other people was w/ her camp friends, & that was the bond in which she could behave most like herself.

Not to mention that by the time we meet Vee, she hasn’t been living w/ Camila all that long. It’s been a couple weeks if we’re being generous but in reality it could’ve been days. And she wasn’t exactly living as herself, she was living as a changed version of Luz.

I’m not trying to discredit or downplay Vee’s bond w/ Camila. I’m saying that by the time she changes her appearance . . . what they have is still relatively fresh. Vee’s only been able to truly live as herself for a few weeks.

She doesn’t need to look like the Nocedas.

She’s allowed to look like her own person.

For those of you saying she looks bad, chances are high you saw her new design in a video taken on someone’s phone of footage displayed to a large crowd. Plus, y’all said the same thing about Amity when she dyed her hair & Hunter when he cut his. & they both look FINE.

& for those of you complaining about how she’s white & blonde . . . her hair is pale green & blue (like the skin of her basilisk form) & she’s noticeably darker than the other white protagonists (Hunter & Amity). Come on.

In conclusion, Vee’s allowed to look like her own person & not like a family she’s known for a few weeks by the time she changes her form.

His eyes are still red, by the way. In this Universe, Colli was adopted by Darius so far. That's why his last name is only Deamonne instead of Clawthorne-Noceda-Deamonne-Whispers.

"Ow! You're hurting me!" It was a sunny day in Gravesfield as a certain little boy with otherworldly fluffy lavender hair and a heart of gold was bothered by Jacob Hopkins, the local conspiracy theorist. He pretty much kidnapped Collin Deamonne, who was also known as Colli.

"You're an Alien! Which means you're going to make me very rich and famous!" As soon as Jacob had said that, Colli let out some very confused noises. "W-what are you even talking about?! I'm a human, why do think I'm an Alien?!"

"Your red eyes and your 'skin condition'! And the shade of your hair! You're the only person who has naturally lavender hair! That's weird!" Jacob said as he put Colli into a cage. "I don't know why my hair is lavender, but I'm a human! My red eyes are very rare, but it does exist! As for my skin, it's called vitiligo, you meanie!"

Before Jacob could respond to this, he was tackled to the ground by Hunter. The blonde boy was angry! Very, very, very, VERY angry! His anger increased even more as he noticed that his beloved little brother Colli was inside a cage. Hunter gave the conspiracy theorist the beating of his lifetime.

Afterwards, Hunter immediately opened the cage and wrapped his arms around Colli. Then, he turned to Jacob. "Listen up, you idiot! Our Dad is Darius Deamonne, the best Police Officer in Gravesfield, and I'm going to tell him what you've done to his youngest son!" With this words, Hunter picked up Colli and returned home with him.

Later, Darius arrived at Jacob's door. He had an restraining order in his hands. Darius had the strong urge to kill this idiot for hurting Colli, but he didn't want to go to jail. Therefore, the restraining order. "Stay away from my family!" Darius said with a very deadly glare. "U-understood!" Jacob squeaked.

Meanwhile, Colli had a very long cuddling session with Hunter. Hunter showered his beloved little brother's adorable face with lots of soft and loving brotherly kisses. Colli smiled as he intertwined his fingers with Hunter's. "You are my greatest treasure." Hunter whispered softly, his magenta eyes were full of love and adoration for his sweet little Sunshine. The seven years old boy pressed with infinite tenderness his forehead against Hunter's.

"yeah ams?" the latina respnded with, "so my dad just asked me a super scary question and i need your answer." amity said quickly not taking her eyes off her scroll. "well what is it?" "he just said "hey mittens, your aunt amelia is hosting a party and i wanted to know if you wanted to bring luz?" and like i'm super nervous rn." amity said. they then looked at eachother for a brief, quiet moment.

"w-well is your family nice?" luz stuttered. "i mean, theyre like super posh but yeah they're nice." "i'm sleepy" luz whispered. after chatting for a bit the twins left and now the girlfriends were left alone. "amity?" luz whispered. "yeah?" "i love you too luz noceda." amity replied as she chuckled softly and lifted up luzs face to plant a kiss on her lips and rubbed her cheek with a soft smile as she pulled luz closer dreading having to let her go. they then fell asleep in eachothers arms as they both had a dreamless sleep.

Day 9: Vee Noceda

(quick story: I got so demotivated for the last few days, insomnia is a b*tch, I'm just gonna write anything before and after W&D, hopefully the shadowban is lifed)

Vee Noceda is an interesting character. I know some people don't like comparing characters from different shows just based off a few facts, but Vee and Amethyst is so similar in so many ways, even have the same voice actress Michaela Dietz, an amazing voice actress.

The few first sneak peeks of Vee is thrilling, from the first letters sent to Camila from summer camp, to "Luz" in the shadow sitting with Camila. And when the reveal happened, she's just a scared immigrant basilisk from the Isles. I like that aspects so much. Characters that looks like they can kill you, but turns out to be a cinnamon roll, I love them so much.

Her backstory is in my opinion the second saddest one in the show, after Willow. One that Michaela Dietz can relate so heavily, because of how similar it is to Amethyst's. A character that wasn't supposed to exist, ran away, found her new family and found love. And it wasn't ended there for Vee, she still had so much struggle, even got spied on, trapped, and caged by a conspiracy freak.

This might be a hot take, but I think Vee did so much to so much to bond the gap between Camila and Luz. Vee helped Luz see how caring and endearing Camila actually is, while Camila finally talked to Luz to help Vee. And to that, I say, is pretty awesome.

There really isn't much to say about Vee, but she's a very neat character in my opinion. The mysterious doppelganger turned into a cool sister for Luz.

Okay, so, not too long ago I had this idea for a Disney Crossover, where I asked you all what sounded better.

And everyone seemed to agree #3. So, now I can explain why I brought this up.

I wanted to see if I can find some roleplayers who can play some of the Gravity Falls, Amphibia, and the Owl House characters. With myself included to help out.

The idea for the plot is this: There is a omnipotent dimensional being who's job is to observe different universes and write down all their events. Something like the Watcher from Marvel, who for now, I will call the Observer. The Observer's kind focus on their tasks and avoid getting involved.

However, this particular Observer ended up coming across the universe of Gravity Falls and became invested in their story. To the point they became a fan, drew a lot of fanart, and made a lot of theories of what was going to happen. Until the series ended up ending, which caused the Observer to become depressed.

Until they came across the other universes like Amphibia and the Owl House. Becoming fans and began observing their whole story. But once they ended, the Observer decided to do something about it.

So, the Observer created a secret world in an empty pocket dimension in order to create a brand new story involving the characters from these three universes.

From the main cast (focusing mainly on the main stars of the series), the supporting cast (the best friends), and the family members (even extended/adoptive families). All being brought in the moment their series ended and finding this world a combination of their world.

All being brought in to learn to work together and go up against their greatest enemies. All resurrected or freed to work together to try to destroy their enemies. With the Observer being the more-powerful being & limited their powers to keep them from doing something that will be beyond their control.
