Secret, Kinda - C.S.
"oh, please, we already knew." or... the one where you and chris soft launch your relationship to his brothers, only for them to show absolutely no shock at all. warnings: none! fluffy little fic <3 word count: 503 a/n: divider credit goes to @uzmacchiato!
"are you sure you're ready? we don't have to do this yet."
you nodded, smiling at chris as you sat in his car, outside of his home. chris had given matt and nick the excuse that your car was in the shop, so he had gone to pick you up to hang out with them today. little did they know, you two were holding a secret to release while you were all together.
you had been secretly dating chris for about six months now. nobody knew, including his brothers and all of your immediate families. you didn't want to tell people because you weren't sure if it was going to work out, due to chris' open, loud, career, and your quiet, private, demeanor. but that was what drew him to you.
against all the odds, it had worked. you were already a little bit of a public figure when it came to the triplets, having appearing in a video or two here and there. all of your socials were always set to private so that only people who you trusted could see what was going on in your personal life. you hadn't posted a thing about dating chris, only photos with all three or at least two of the triplets in them.
you hung out only when nick and matt were busy, or when chris could come up with a cover story to escape the house by himself. but now, confident in the strength of your relationship, you were ready to tell people. starting with your best friends, and chris' closest family.
you were greeted with a huge hug by nick as soon as you walked in the door, it putting a wide smile on your face.
"how have you been??"
you laughed, walking into their kitchen.
"nick, i saw you yesterday."
"okay and?"
you shook your head, stealing one of matt's root beers from the fridge, cracking open the can.
"i've been good. we actually have something to tell you though."
you sat down, motioning for chris to follow you. matt was already seated on the couch, a knowing look on his face.
"yeah?"
chris nodded.
"yeah."
nick sat, his own drink in his hand.
"okay, so spit it out already!"
you grabbed chris' hand, smiling.
"we're dating."
nick screamed, a matching smile on his face.
"I KNEW IT!"
he turned to matt, his hand outstretched. matt sighed, shaking his head before pulling his wallet out, handing $100 over to nick. chris stared at them, incredously.
"what the fuck?! you bet on us?"
matt nodded, laughing.
"oh, please. we already knew."
nick nodded, excited over the relationship news and the newfound benjamin in his pocket.
"the bet was on if you'd tell us before the month ended or not. i bet you would, matt clearly bet you wouldn't."
you stared in shock before laughter escaped you, doubling over at the ridiculousness of the situation. chris still looked floored, looking between his two brothers.
"how did you know??"
"chris, you're a terrible liar."

Hello! This is my first time ever requesting something on tumblr ^o^
I was wondering if you could do any BLLK characters would react to reader coming out as asexual? (Someone who feels little to no sexual attraction). And how they are with it?
Take ur time! ( ´ ▽ ` )
ofc my love!! the first time anyone ever came out to me was my middle school bff and she was ace, so y'all hold a special place in my heart <3 for this fic I'll do Chigiri, Ness, Sae, and Kunigami!!

➜ in my mind chigiri hyoma also falls somewhere on the ace spectrum (probably demisexual) but he just didn't have a name for it ➜ you coming out to him helped him a lot with discovering a new part of his own identity ➜ whereas there are def some boys in blue lock who i think no sex would be a deal breaker for, chigiri isn't one of them ➜ i think chigiri would've already known you're ace long before the two of you get even a little romantically involved, so he already knows what he's getting into with you when it comes to be your boyfriend ➜ but he wouldn't have it any other way
"Hyoma~" you sing as you open the door to the hallway outside the locker rooms, "look what I have~" Chigiri looks up, pushing some of his hair from his face. You're holding out a roll of something that looks like athletic tape but it's patterned in a way he can't discern from all the way over here. "What is it?" he asks, reaching out and taking it from you. You plop down onto the bench beside him and he turns the tape over in his hands. Black, grey, white, and purple stripes. "What is this design?" "It's the ace flag!" you say excitedly. "Another friend of man who does basketball-" Chigiri grimaces, but you brush it off "-showed me this Etsy store that makes athletic gear in pride theming." He nods and looks back down at the roll of tape. "Is it for me?" "Umm . . . I mean, if you don't want it, I can always take it back," you say sheepishly after a second. "No, no, it's cool," he says. "I just already have a lot of tape so." "Sorry." He frowns and looks over at you. Your smile is waning and he sighs. Chigiri lifts a hand and pats your head, kissing your forehead softly. "I like it, I'm happy. Don't worry," he says softly. "Don't look so sad." You laugh quietly and nod, before resting your head on his shoulder and sighing. "I'm glad," you whisper. The next time you see him during practice, his knee is all bandaged up with the tape, and you can't help the way your heart flutters. He really did like it.

➜ alexis ness asks a lot of questions about your sexuality ➜ after all, the aroace community is definitely not as well known or talked about in the grander LGBTQ+ space, so he's not super well versed on it ➜ at first he takes it as you saying you want to break up with him and gets super worried and anxious, but once you explain how being ace actually works, he calms down ➜ you're one of the most important people in his life, so he really doesn't want to lose you
"My love, please, it's okay-" you try to say through Ness' shallow breathing. "You promise we're not over?" Ness asks- no, practically begs you to say. His sweet eyes are so wet from tears and he's hiccuping as snot leaks from his nose. You're not sure how this reaction is making you feel. Certainly not good though. "No, Ness, we're not over," you insist. "I promise. I'm . . . I just don't want to have sex. Ever." "Who cares about that? As long as you're not leaving me!" He's so earnest with it, and you just can't handle how sweet and sad he's being all at once. "I mean, this is a deal breaker for a lot of people, I get it if you want to-" "Do you want to?" he asks incredulously. "No! Of course not!" "Well God gave me a hand for a reason!" Ness says cupping your face. "And besides, I'm not only with you for sex! I- I don't care if you're . . . what was it?" "Asexual." "Asexual, yes, that! I just," he sighs, finally seeming to have gained the ability to calm down a little. "I just don't want you to go anywhere. I like having you with me." You sigh and lean into his touch. "You mean it?" "Yes! Absolutely!" he kisses your forehead and then presses his against yours. "Tell me if I accidentally mess something up, okay?" You shake your head. "You won't." "Just in case, yeah?" You giggle and nod. "Got it."

➜ sae itoshi genuinely could not care either way ➜ honestly, not having to have sex probably makes the relationship a little easier on his half ➜ he's a busy man, and he's always bouncing around between spain and japan ➜ and while yes, phone sex is a thing, it doesn't come close to the actual act, which you very much need both people present for ➜ it makes your reunions while you're doing long distance a bit easier on him, since he doesn't have to worry about going straight to the bed with you, but instead can just chill
When Sae sees you at the airport, he practically collapses onto you. He smells like the airplane and is all musty from his traveling, but you couldn't care less. You wrap your arms around his middle tight and do your best to lift his body weight a little so he's not crushing you. "Missed you too sleepy," you tease, scruffing the hair that peeks out from under his beanie. "C'mon, let's get your suitcase and go home." He nods against your neck, before sighing and straightening up into a standing position again. The time between getting his luggage and getting back to the apartment is a blur you could not pay him to recall. He collapses onto the couch after taking his shoes off and just lays there like a log until you come up to him and sit next to him. "Sae," you whisper, poking his cheek. He opens his eyes and stares up at you, before holding your hand and kissing your fingers. "Hmm?" he groans. "I missed you," you say, rubbing underneath his eyes. "Have you been getting enough sleep?" "I'm trying to sleep right now," he grumbles. A pang fills your chest and you nod. "Okay, I'll leave you. Sorry." Before you can move too far though, Sae yanks you down onto the couch and practically drags you into his chest. "Don't go," he whispers and you smile. You kiss the tip of his nose and as sleep yanks his eyes shut once more you whisper, "Welcome home."

➜ kunigami rensuke is definitely the kind of man who cares more about who you are as a person than what you can offer him sexually ➜ when you tell him that you're ace, he kinda just stares at you blankly, and then is like okay?? ➜ he's genuinely confused as to if he's supposed to care or not ➜ like, he strikes me as the type to never be the first to make a sexual advance. he's the type to sit patiently and quietly until you make the first move ➜ honestly, you could've not said anything at all, gone your entire relationship with him having zero sexual intercourse and this man wouldn't have bat an eye
When you asked your mother if you could sleepover at Kunigami house, she had no worries. His mom on the other hand did. "No closing doors please," his mom begged before you got there. "Mom, would you just listen to me," Kunigami groaned, putting his head in his hands. "Rensuke, please, I was a teenager too once! I know what happens with these-" "Mom, gross," he cries. "I don't want to think about that." "I'm just saying-" "And I've already told you that she doesn't want to have sex with me. Or anyone. She's not like that!" "But how do you know?!" "Because she told me. She's asexual, she's not going to want to have sex with me, even if I beg her to!" His mom falls silent, her posture still stiff as ever though. His little sisters watch from the stairs, intrigued as to who Kungiami's invited over for the night. Finally his mom slumps and leans against a wall. She gives a dramatic sigh before finally smiling at her son. "Okay fine," she says gently. "Maybe just leave the door halfway open?" Kunigami rolls his eyes, but before he can say anything, the doorbell rings. He perks up and heads to the door. "Rensuke!" his mother calls after him, and he comes to a stop. He looks over at his mom, noticing how tight her expression still is. Kunigami sighs and smiles. He pats her shoulder and says, "Okay mom. Okay."

- C H A P T E R S E V E N -
Breakfast.
It was always a chaotic start to any day when it came to making the first meal of the day. Those that were up and dressed, and ready with far too much energy coursing their body at the start of the day, would congregate in the kitchen to make breakfast for the rest of the house to feast upon. And this morning, Darkest and YN were the first ones ready. And, with the help of Jemel shouting orders from the other room and Spuddz speaking in sign language because he’d set himself a challenge on not speaking for the day, they got to work on making omelettes for the house.
Omelettes with cheese, omelettes with ham, omelettes with both cheese and ham… because the ingredient list was lacking and they could only do so much with what they had in the fridge and in the cupboards.
Where Darkest was on egg duty, and had done expertly well in cracking the shells and emptying the contents into the measuring jug in front of him, YN was on chopping and prepping duty. Grating cheese and slicing the ham, ready to tip into the pan when the eggs were partially done on one side, prepping each one individually for people to come and grab as they walked by.
Everyone’s mugs were out on the kitchen island and waiting for them to be filled with either orange juice, a cup of tea or a cup of coffee. A box of teabags placed alongside a jar of coffee, the orange juice kept in the fridge to keep it chilled, spoons set alongside their mugs in case they needed them.
All YN could think about was consuming another good, warm and ‘perfected to the taste’ cup of tea that morning - which was something she definitely couldn’t live without. Her day would always start with a cup of tea, whether it be with her breakfast or to take back to bed on a Sunday morning where she would recuperate and take things slow, and her day would always end with a cup of tea (decaf, of course, she wouldn’t consider herself a lunatic who drank caffeine before bed), whether it be one she took to bed when reading a good book or whilst she took a seat and caught up on the television she had missed over the course of the last few evenings when she’d been hunched over her laptop in her office and editing and scheduling videos to post on her Youtube the following day.
When she’d woken up that morning, after feeling a soft nudge to her shoulder, the first thing she was greeted with was two steaming cups of tea in Arthur’s hands. One for himself and one for her, which she found adorably sweet and she couldn’t believe it when she realised he had remembered what she told him on the first day they entered. “You’ll always find me with a cup of tea in the morning.” She vividly remembered saying it to him, with every single morning to follow being started with a cup of warm liquid that she savoured till the last drop. A kiss to her cheek that came with it after he had sat down on her bed and passed it over to her, surprisingly good for his first time making her one
Her day never felt complete without one.
“I have a weird feeling about today, you know?”
YN looked up from the chopping board and glanced at Darkest, “how so?”
“I don’t know. There hasn’t been a major twist yet. No shock factor to the show,” he explained, using a spatula to flip over the seventh omelette he had sizzling in the pan on the hob, “something’s coming. We’re at day seven of this season now. There has to be something that’ll change the dynamic of what’s going on here.”
And YN, too, had a weird feeling.
Everything seemed to be going almost too well in the house; the morale was high, there seemed to be no tension in the house, everyone was laughing with everyone, there were no arguments and everyone was feeling a lot more comfortable now that a week had passed. They were sharing stories about the most personal moments in their lives, throwing banter between themselves, feeling as if they were the only people still alive on earth. And it was evidently clear that things were deepening between her and Arthur and they were slowly making progress with one another… so, it was almost like she knew that something was going to come along and ruin the peace they had going.
It was never going to be easy-breezy, straight through to the final day, without a single bump in the road.
She didn’t want to agree verbally with Darkest, and she chose to keep her feelings private, but she was very much sitting in the same boat as him.
“Let’s not manifest it,” YN laughed softly, “if you don’t speak it into existence, it’ll never happen.”
Once omelette number eleven had been made to perfection, which was going to be YN’s omelette because she was kind enough to let everyone go ahead of her, and once all the utensils were soaking in hot water in the kitchen soak, she took a seat next to Arthur and reached for the tomato sauce sitting beside the salt and pepper grinders in the middle of the table.
“What do you think?” She asked him, looking at his half finished omelette and watching as he took food off of the fork in his hand, a grin on her face when he chewed and swallowed, “good? What one did you get?”
“Really good,” he smiled, placing his knife and fork down on the tabletop, “I think I got cheese and ham. There’s definitely some ham in there and I can taste some cheese sprinkled in there. Well done, you.”
“Not me you need to thank. You can’t fault Darkest and his culinary skills today. I just prepped the fillings, he did the rest,” YN grinned widely and looked over at Darkest, a tea-towel draped around his neck and hanging over his shoulders, “think he did amazingly, considering he’s never cooked a meal before in his life. So he says.”
“I haven’t,” he clarified, his ears pricking up once he realised he was being spoken about, and nodded, “I think we make good chefs, YN. Gordon Ramsey will be quaking in his boots.”
“We’ll be seeing you on Celebrity Masterchef soon,” YN teased and his eyes widened, pointing at her in amazement, “I can see that. Gone from barely cooking himself a meal to winning Masterchef. I’ll be your number one supporter.”
Laughter filled the room and she felt Arthur’s hand resting upon her thigh underneath the table, the warm pads of his fingertips squeezing at the flesh of her leg, a tingle sitting in her belly. And it amazed her at how his arm fell so casually to her thigh, like it was something that happened so frequently and happened to be a common movement he made around her, no thought behind it yet it was something she thought about all the time.
And in that moment, she was gone. Butterflies erupting in her belly and it wasn’t because of the omelette she was enjoying. Her legs wobbling like jelly underneath his touch because it was delicate and soft and the feeling, alone, had her wanting to feel it just a little bit more. Heart-eyes bulging, metaphorically, from their sockets as she settled her mind on just what was happening.
Smitten, was the word she would describe herself as.
Absolutely smitten for him.
There was no way that what was happening between them, from the cheeky glances she could feel when she was going about her day in the house to how she would make eye contact with him when she found herself looking for him to how he was the first face she saw when she woke up in the mornings and how he was always looking at her when she woke from her night’s slumber with a sleepy smile on his lips.
And, really?
She was looking forward to pursuing her feelings just a little further and testing the waters on just what the future held for the both of them.

“Housemates, please report to the Challenge Area.”
For the sixth time that week, and like clockwork, the whole group of them rushed and bundled their way into the four grey, empty walls of the so-called Challenge Area. No one had any idea about what was about to happen once the door closed, without an inkling of a hint all but a screen to explain what they were about to be challenged with, and they situated themselves down in their given teams as they awaited the rules of the next game.
“In teams, housemates will go head to head in answering the same questions,” Anastasia read from the screen, “if the teams give the correct answer, they will all be given one point,” she concluded.
This one felt easy, YN thought to herself, and she knew she just had to follow her gut instinct when answering because it was a 50-50 win, either way.
There was no way she was letting the other team come out on top of this challenge - she needed those points to gain a little more leverage on the leaderboard and lift herself from the bottom and back to the middle of the table. And part of her wanted to beat Arthur, the competitive streak in her finding an outlet because as happy as she was when he won, she wanted to experience the feeling of being a winner.
“Mr Beast has seventy-three point eight million subscribers. Are Ed Sheeran’s monthly listeners on Spotify higher or lower?”
YN read the question from the screen before everyone, almost immediately turning to her team - Jamie, Jemel, Anastasia, Johnny and Darkest - with an answer she was pretty confident on.
“I’m pretty sure it’s higher,” she whispered to her team, “fairly certain I saw something similar to this on Twitter before I came in here.”
“Are you sure?” Jamie asked, crouching down, with the rest of the boys, to a level where they could all whisper and still hear one another, “seventy-three point eight is a massive number.”
“It’s not a huge gap between the two numbers but he’s got about another half a million more listeners than Mr Beast has subscribers. At least, that is what I read,” YN confirmed, nodding alongside her answer, “I’m confident enough.”
“We’re trusting you,” Jemel teased, standing back up straight and resting his hands on YN’s shoulders, squeezing them gently before raising an arm up to signify their answer, “we’re saying higher, locked in.”
The waiting killed her.
Her knee was bouncing up and down with nerves, her stomach felt like it had dropped to the floor and she could feel the shaking of her hands as she prayed she was correct and didn’t make herself look like a fool in front of her team. She was confident enough, she hoped.
When the room flashed green and she read the word ‘higher’, she cheered and pushed her arms into the air. Congratulations and well done’s were said above her, a squeeze of her shoulder from the guys behind her, and she exchanged a little cuddle into Anastasia’s side as they revelled in their win and their prize of one point.
“Anastasia has one point three million subscribers,” Steph read, cheering and pointing at the girl on the opposite bench to her, “is the population of Birmingham higher or lower?”
Both teams hushed up and they conferred with each other.
“Lower, locked in,” Arthur spoke into the room, bringing YN’s team out of their discussion, his fingers pointing down.
“Higher, locked in,” Jemel spoke for the blue team, pointing towards the ceiling above them.
This one had their brains racking. Neither of them on YN’s team knew what the answer was going to be, throwing around different thoughts but barely settling on a definitive answer, this one being a throw away answer and one that they didn’t care if they got wrong because they weren’t sure to begin with.
But when they saw ‘lower’ on the screen, their heads rolled back in annoyance.
“I wish I had more subscribers than the city of Birmingham,” Anastasia murmured jokingly, feigning sadness before she cracked a smile, “but one million is still crazy to me. I can’t lie about that.”
✦•······················•✦•······················•✦ ✦•······················•✦•······················•✦
Hearing his name being called when he was at his most comfiest - almost asleep as he laid flat out on his bed with his pillow squashed up between his cheek and the mattress beneath him, arms folded beneath it, with YN sat beside him as she held a gentle conversation with Jemel about his life outside the house - felt like a kick in the teeth. His eyes were sore, stinging from the lack of sleep and the desire to close his eyes for just a moment to give him a break from the bright lights around him, and it took a lot of willpower to tear himself from the warmth of her side and down the hallway to the tiny room set up for the one-to-one interviews in front of the camera.
“This better be worth it,” Arthur grumbled as he slipped through the door, digging his fingers into his eyes to rid the sleep that was clinging to his eyelids, “I’m so tired, my god.”
He situated himself down in the chair, adjusting the hoodie over his head and pulling the sleeves over his hands, crossing a leg over his other.
“Good afternoon, ArthurTV.”
“I don’t even know what time is anymore,” he informed the camera, “time is non-existent here. I was about to go to sleep and you’re telling me it’s only the afternoon?”
“Only the afternoon,” Sugarlips clarified, “how are you enjoying your time here?”
“It’s been a lot of fun, yeah. We’re all a lot more comfortable with each other, too, so we’re delving into conversations that are a lot deeper than we’d have thought we’d go when we first met,” Arthur said, nodding alongside his words, “although, there are moments where we’re clashing and almost butting heads. We’re tired, we're bored, we’re getting on each others’ nerves because we’re around each other twenty-four seven so it’s bound to happen. We work things out though.”
“Who are you closest to in the house?”
Arthur cackled hoarsely and leant back in his chair.
“I’m probably closest to Jokeman, you know? I-”
There was a robotic cough that came from the camera before him, a choked out ‘bullshit’ that followed, and his eyes widened. Taken aback, pink forming on his cheeks, and he laughed nervously whilst bringing his hand to the nape of his neck, rubbing his skin up and down in a way to keep his emotions at bay.
Of course, he wanted to scream about how he was feeling from the rooftop. Because he was bursting at the seams to relieve his inner-most thoughts about the situation he was in, wanting to express what the hell was going on in his mind because he’d never experienced such a scenario before and he never expected something like this to happen when he signed up for the show… he just wanted a little boost into his career as a Youtuber, he wasn’t hoping to find someone of the opposite sex whom he gelled so well with and had hopes for better things to happen when they walked out the front door when their time on the show came to an end.
But he was more respectful because he knew YN was reserved in what was happening. She was worried about what people were going to say, scared to hear what the outside world thought of them, and he didn’t want to feed into that. He understood her feelings, understood she wanted to take it slow because, deep down, so did he.
“Okay, you got me there,” he covered his face with his palms and rubbed his eyes with his fingertips, “Jokeman is up there though. But, it’s YN, isn’t it? You want me to say YN.”
“We’re not forcing your hand into saying anything, Arthur Television,” Sugarlips clarified but Arthur cocked an eyebrow up in the direction of the camera, a smirk toying at the corner of his lips, “but you can’t lie when there are cameras in almost every room.”
“I’m not denying anything,” he chewed on the inside of his cheek nervously and held his hands up in defence, “if you know the answer then why did you ask the question?”
“You got us there,” the robotic voice retorted back to him in a mimicking tone and he wondered, in the depths of his brain, why on earth he was biting back at someone who was clearly fishing for content for the show on the other end of the microphone, “we’re expecting a thank-you for this.”
“Oh, you’ll be invited to the wedding,” Arthur smiled widely, his cheeks pinking up at the curve of his cheekbones, “but, yes. YN is the one I’m closest to in this house. I’m always looking for her when I’m bored. I feel better around her, a lot more comfortable when she’s in the room. And I think we bring out the best in each other.”
“Everyone on the outside is really loving the chemistry between the two of you, a lot of people rooting for a good outcome,” Sugarlips explained, “how does that make you feel?”
“It makes me feel good. Really good,” Arthur nodded, “I never came looking for such a connection with someone else in here. I told myself that the friends I made along the way were just a bonus to the situation I’ve been thrown into, but YN’s really become something special. I think we’d have met in the future, with the jobs we have, but the opportunity now has been eye-opening for me. I’m going to tell her what the outsiders are saying. She needs her mind to be put at ease.”
✦•······················•✦•······················•✦ ✦•······················•✦•······················•✦
“If everyone could just,” she stretched her arms out to prevent anyone from walking passed her and carried on walking, ushering people back into the kitchen area and out of sight from the lounge area, “if you could all stay in here and not come out until we say so, that would lovely, thank you.”
“Why?”
“We’re planning something,” Darkest grinned, rubbing his hands together in a mocking and evil way and stepped backwards out of the room with his eyes wildly diverting between everyone to warn them not to even think about following him, “don’t come in, don’t even think about looking. Just stay in here. We won’t be long.”
The door closed for a moment and the nine of them were left wondering, discussing, throwing around what one earth the two of them could be doing that required a room to themselves and all of them not to take a peek at what they were doing. Someone suggested a dance that they were making up to entertain the rest of them. Someone suggested a made-up story that they were planning on telling everyone. Someone assumed it was for a challenge they’d been given and suggested that they had to do something stupid before the whole group to grab themselves three points. Someone even joked around and said they just wanted some time to themselves without being interrupted but they knew that was nonsense… god bless her boyfriend on the outside.
So when Steph opened the door and revealed the secret that her and Darkest had planned, YN didn’t know what to say.
Before the ten of them, the lounge room had been given a makeover.
Two of the three sofas had been pushed together, to form a square-shaped and makeshift bed, with a white sheet tucked across the seat cushions. A few Haribo love hearts had been placed in sporadic positions, almost like they’d been thrown from across the room, and there were glasses of an almost-pink fizz that was bubbling away in champagne flutes.
Anisa stood behind YN and gave her elbows a squeeze, a cheeky grin on her face as she urged her to keep stepping forward into the room, Anastasia glancing over every so often to grab looks at just how in awe the girl was of the space before her. Arthur cautiously followed close behind and stepped into the room, practically beside YN, and he felt his cheeks flushing pink at the effort they’d gone through to create a space so cosy and romantic looking.
“What’s this?”
Steph pushed a glass full of drink into YN’s hand, claiming it was ‘lady’s first’ and she smiled as YN took it from her hand to take a quick sip of the fizzy liquid, passing the second glass over to Arthur who took it from her hand and took a swig.
“Well, you two seemed to spend a lot of time together recently,” Darkest started, stretching out his arms in a fashion that showed off the room before them, “and we know that we’ve been taking the piss out of it and teasing you both about liking one another which, by the way, is very obvious and you should do something about that,” he continued, a smirk on his lips as he watched the two of them try to shy away from the conversation, “we made this room all romantic for you so that we could actually force something to happen between the two of you.”
“Stop it,” Arthur whispered under his breath, looking at YN as she looked back at him, “can you believe-”
“Don’t deny it, Mister Television,” Steph laughed at him, “we’ve seen you guys all day today. The little looks you give each other, the gentle touches, the hugs. Heck, I even saw you kiss her cheek at breakfast when you gave her a cup of tea. You might as well just smooch and make it official for us to celebrate.”
“You guys are so fixated on this right now. We’re not an episode of Eastenders,” YN informed them, shaking her head and taking another sip of the drink in her hand and she popped a smile on her lips, “but this is cute. Real cute.”
“Plus, we all need a pick-me-up since Jemel left so,” Steph shrugged her shoulders and began ushering people out of the room, “this is keeping us all distracted. We’ll be thinking, all night, about you both and whether you’re enjoying our set up, and not how we’ve just lost someone from the house.”
✦•······················•✦•······················•✦ ✦•······················•✦•······················•✦
“This really is actually so sweet of them,” YN whispered softly, adjusting her position on the two sofas pushed together and laying her head back against the pillow, watching as Arthur took off his cap and set it on the side. His hair was tousled, and he had a bad case of hat-hair, but YN found it endearing. His fringe being messed by the peak of his cap, sticking in all directions, and it made him ten times more irresistible to her than before. “I guess we can’t keep denying it now.”
“I guess not,” he laughed, “were we that obvious to people?”
“Clearly,” YN snorted, “I guess they saw through all of the constant denial.”
“I tried so hard to make it less obvious that I had a little something more than just liking you as a friend,” he admitted shyly, “I was just hoping we could get by in here, become good friends, and then maybe try something more on the outside but-”
“But here we are,” she smiled, sitting up and twisting in her place to face him, crossing her legs and clasping her hands in her lap, “we might as well entertain it for them here. Not that I want us to be exploited for humour and content but we can always do something more private on the outside.”
“I was ready to go to bed,” he said, leaning back against his pillow and resting his arms behind his head, “I’m so tired, my eyes are stinging.”
“You’re telling me,” she snickered, “I’m not struggling to sleep at all but, at the same time, I am struggling. It’s like my brain is blocking me from getting too comfortable in this place. Like, I’m such a slob at home and I’ll just chuck my clothes anywhere in my bedroom and leave dirty pants and socks on the floor and such and I feel like I just can’t be myself outside of my front door.”
“Oh, my god,” he scoffed and shook his head with a smile on his lips, “I’m the complete opposite. I’m a clean freak so everything has to be in order before I even think of going to sleep. I’m struggling to sleep in here because of the people. The ones that snore and the ones that sleep talk. God, I’m such a light sleeper and it’s such a curse.”
“I don’t snore, do I?”
He shook his head.
“No, you’re quite silent. And you’re very pretty when you sleep,” he admitted shyly, “not that I watch you or anything but it’s kind of hard not to when you have the bed next to me and- that still makes me sound weird-”
“You just keep digging the hole that makes you look even more creepy,” YN joked and he groaned and covered his face with his hands, “I’m just kidding, you donut. If it helps and makes us even, you’re quite pretty when you sleep, too.”
“I wish they gave us some notice or something,” Arthur hummed, bringing his hands down from his face yet there was still some discolouration in his cheeks from their usual pale look with a deep pink taking its place across the stretch across his nose, “I could have been more prepared.”
“Yeah, I could have topped up my make-up, done my hair. Made an effort,” she claimed, “could have dressed up instead of appearing in shorts and a jumper.”
“You look lovely, regardless,” he smiled softly, “I don’t think they were planning on telling us their scheming plans for our secret ‘date’.”
He used his fingers to indicate quotation marks around the word and her head dropped down to look at her lap, a grin bursting to appear on her lips.
A date.
Even if it was just something of a joke to the rest of the house, it felt (almost) real to her.
And she would have considered it a real date, their first date, had it not been for the cameras recording and collecting content for those on the outside and the listening ears of the nine other housemates waiting to hear the gossip and the juicy details of what had happened without them.
She felt comfortable around him.
And if it wasn’t for the cameras around them, and the listening ears of those housemates waiting outside the room to have insider knowledge, she would have opened up a lot more to him than she had done. Being around Arthur made time pass by in the blink of an eye. What felt like half an hour had been a good two hours and it brought great annoyance to the two of them when they were interrupted by the ping of a comment appearing on the screen - that time had come again and YN wasn’t sure what she was expecting this time around - and a bombardment of people flocking through the door as their little ‘date’ had been interrupted at the worst possible time.
The small space where the sofas had been pushed together were now full of people slouching over the cushions, squashing YN’s legs as the girls laid across her space and making the large room feel small to her, the boys leaning against the backs of the furniture but some seemingly finding comfort in the corners.
‘FootAsylum, can you send Arthur and YN on a date’
“Already happened thanks to us,” Steph grinned at the camera and wrapped her arm around Darkest’s neck, pulling him close and offering his fist for a fistbump, the two of them glaring into the camera with prideful looks upon their faces, “you’re welcome, YN and Arthur lovers. Giving you what you wanted.”
‘Loving the bromance between Jokeman and Arthur-’
“Yes, my brother,” Jokeman cheered and walked towards Arthur who was laid upon the sofa, leaning over the back and squeezing his shoulders, “although, it’s starting to get a little crowded in this little circle so I’m willing to step back for my lovely girl to have you all to herself…” He gave YN’s hair and ruffle and she pushed him away, playfully, “unless-”
“No, Jokeman,” YN laughed and reached for his hand, “as much as I adore you, two is company and three’s a crowd. Definitely a crowd.”
“Understood,” he smiled and gave her a wink to which she reciprocated, “I’ll have him at weekends. You can have him on weekdays.”
‘Make Johnny take stephtoms on a date I’m sensing the chemistry 👅😂’
“Yes!” YN cheered, thrusting her arms into the air and grinning widely at Johnny before smirking at Steph, “I can repay the favour for this glorious date night that you set up here. We can fixate on you two rather than me and Arthur then. The house’s hottest new couple.”
“Yeah, nope,” Johnny shook his head and stood to his feet, “no offence, Steph.”
“None taken,” she smiled as he walked out the room and YN frowned playfully, “guess we’re living vicariously through you and Arthur when it comes to dates and romance in this house.”
It wasn’t long before everyone was saying goodnight and it wasn’t long before Arthur and YN were left alone, again, in the living room.
Sofas still pushed together and the sheet had been exchanged for the duvet from Arthur’s bed so that they could sleep a little warmer in the lower level of the house, something that Anisa had brought down after everyone had settled down for the night. The lights had been switched off in the entirety of the house, and the lounge room had succumbed to darkness, apart from the tiny red power lights coming from the cameras in the corners of the room. Arthur was standing on the other side of the sofa as the lights had gone out, his t-shirt being chucked onto the floor and his legs shimmying out of his trousers, leaving his clothes in a heap on the floor that he would sort out in the morning. There was no way he was rummaging around in the dark when all he wanted was to climb back onto the sofas and crawl under the duvet with the girl he was rather infatuated with.
“Can you see where you’re going?”
“Not at all,” he claimed and as he tried to find the edges of the sofa and attempted to climb over, as his unlucky fate would have it, he stubbed his toe on the foot of the sofa with enough force to give the piece of furniture a jolt and make YN jump as she cosied down beneath his comforter, “fuck.”
A soft giggle escaped her lips as she tried to find him in the dark.
“Are you okay?”
“Mm-hm,” he hummed out tensely and she could hear the pain in the sound that came from within his chest, “that hurt.”
“I would offer to kiss it better but I’m not into that kind of thing,” she teased and he tutted jokingly, “sorry, lovie.”
She felt the weight of his body fall beside her on the sofa cushions and she groaned as he leant on her hair in an attempt to get comfortable in the dark, something he profusely apologised for until he got himself comfortable under the covers, his leg brushing against hers as he stretched out across the expanse of the sofa. And YN couldn’t lie, it felt weird to have someone in such close proximity to her when it was something she’d not experienced in a long while. His body radiating enough heat to keep her warm and she was thankful for the duvet as it trapped it and kept the two of them snug.
She couldn’t lie about how she felt when there were butterflies in her belly from what was happening.
Here they were, in a makeshift bed together after finally coming to terms with how their feelings for each other were just as strong as they both felt for the other, cuddling up under the covers. Her hand fell upon his bare chest, she felt more comfortable on her side and found she had a leg draped over his hips, his arm wrapped tightly around her as he held her close, her head falling perfectly into the space underneath his jawline. He still smelled divine with the lingering scent of an aftershave still clinging to his skin, and she could feel every muscle, every ab, every inhale and exhale of breath that he took rhythmically.
She couldn’t lie about how thankful she was for Steph and Darkest for actually forcing them into initiating something because she realised she made herself look like a fool in her head over heels state for the boy beside her.
“Goodnight,” she whispered, giving him a soft squeeze.
“Goodnight,” he responded, giving her forehead a quick and gentle kiss, “see you in the morning.”

Lute: How could fuck up that royally? Actually. Don't answer that, I know the damn answer. You're a fucking idiot.
Adam glared at the woman: Fuck you, bitch. I was asleep! This thing is fucking stuffy- and it gives me that weird eyebrow wrinkle that I hate.
Lute rolled her eyes, and folded her arms: Fuck, you're vain.
Adam: Obviously, you know who I am right?
Lute: Just- shut up. We're going so far off fucking topic it isn't crazy.
The first man groaned and rubbed his helmet, why couldn't he have just slept with it on?!
Adam: Okay. Look. He's lost his memories once, I can just go in there, bash him on the head again- and boom! I'm scott free!
When Lute gave him her signature look she always flashed in his direction when he says stupid shit, he groaned.
Adam: What's even the big fucking deal?! I'm too hot for him, or something?!
Lute: He hates you. Remember? Lilith sprinkled a lite bit of bullshit into his herbal tea and he bit down on that hook like a fucking fish.
Adam: Fucking- horny dog, you mean... he tasted her pussy once and all of a sudden everything she says is fucking gospel... great, so now he knows I'm THAT Adam and he hates me all over again... I've dealt with it before, I can deal with it again...
Lute scoffed: Didn't you try to drown yourself in Eden because-?
Adam: S-Shut up! I did not! I feel into a puddle and decided to lay there for a moment, alright?!
The exorcist shrugged and crossed her legs, tapping her fingers against the table: Not what I heard. Or what everyone else heard. You were so distraught by their betrayal of Heaven that you walked into the deepest lake in Eden and tried to drown yourself. Some tales say, it was Lilith herself that pulled you out.
Adam: ...I didn't do it because they betrayed fucking Heaven... I had feelings too, alright? I wasn't some fucking... soulless husk.
Lute: Hm. Again, off topic.
Adam: What-?! How is my pain off topic?!
Lute: Well, because it is. The lies of Lilith on the other hand? If Lucifer reacted this way to seeing your face, those lies could now be fresh in his mind all over again.
Looking down, Adam hated how much that realisation hurt. He knew Lucifer hated him. Even before losing his memories was. Maybe he shouldn't have allowed that small piece of him to hope that his memories went back before Lilith got her claws into him.
Adam: ...Sera's going to be fucking pissed...
Lute stared at her commander before sighing: You realise you don't have to disclose everything to her.
Adam: How can't I?! She reads everything like a fucking book! She probably already knows...! I... I have to...
Lute: Adam. This isn't Eden, you don't have to-.
Adam glared at her: Yes. I do. You know how they are... don't tell me not to say anything, because you of all people know I have to...
Lute sighed, she had no idea how someone so old could be such an idiot: Try fixing this shit first, hm? Before you run off to Mommy about you fucking up, how about you try to FIX it? Speak to Lucifer, see where his head at, and find a way to fix it and move on. Who knows, maybe this isnt that big of a deal- don't you fucking yell at me.
The exorcist pointed at Adam as his mouth opened, but he quickly shut it and folded his arms.
Lute: Just, try my way for once, will you? Fucks sake, Adam. Use that brain of yours for a moment. Sera would like it if you took the initiative for once instead of crying to her.
Adam: Crying-?!
Lute: Shut up, Adam. Just. Try.
As Lute stood up, she pointed to Lucifer's door: He's as fucked up as you at the moment... who knows, maybe he'll like the new you.
Without another word from either of them, she walked out of the meeting room, locking the door afterwards. Adam stayed at the table, with his arms folded tightly around his chest.
Even after all of these years, he's still scared of Lucifer and what he thinks of him.
Remember Me?
((Based off the comic by @i-december you can find the comic here!))
@beef-brisket
Charlie didn't know what else to do, she was at her wits end and out of options. She didn't want to do this but seeing as her dad and Adam had such a long history and he only seems to remember Heaven, Eden, and by extension Adam....... He's the only one she could turn to.
Adam: So he really has no memory whatsoever?
Charlie: No...... I'm not sure what happened and I don't know what else to do.
Vaggie got up and marched over: You don't really think your dad will be safe with the likes of HIM!? He won't be safe!
Charlie pinched the bridge of her nose: He's not safe down here, anything could happen to him. That's why..... I need Adam to take him to Heaven.
Adam nearly choked on his spit: Are you fucking insane!? I can't just take him up there, Sera will lose her shit! He's banished for a reason!
Charlie: I know!...... But if he doesn't remember what he did he won't understand why he can't go home.
The first man sighed, curse his bleeding fucking heart.
Adam: Where is he?
Charlie took him to Lucifer, who was sitting ever so neatly on a chair. He looked the same but that wasn't the problem was it? It was the inside that got all mangled.
Adam: I can't take him through the pearly gates.
Lucifer tilted his head and smiled: Adam?
-
Adam: Sera is going to fucking kill me.
Lucifer was with him walking through Heaven, Peter nearly fainted when he saw Lucifer smile and wave at him even so politely.
At least he has manners and won't cause trouble.
When they got to Sera's office Adam had to explain everything and it was like pulling teeth. He hated when she looked disappointed in him.
Sera: This was very irresponsible Adam, he could be faking for all we know.
Lucifer was just playing with the cuff of his sleeve, probably not understanding what's going on.
Adam: Right.....

Quite literally 80% of my muse list
#tbd.#◜✧ . ❪ ooc. ❫#ask to tag#Someone close these DAMN men's mouths. Nothing good EVER comes out of them being open 😭#I think the worst offenders here are Lyney; Tobias; Sethos & Sugilite but Toma & Naotora sure were Up There too before getting a boyfriend#They DO stop flirting once they have a s/o bc why would they intentionally flirt w sb else when their s/o is right there 🤨 HOWEVER.#Flirting is so entrenched in their routine that sometimes they don't even realize they're doing it til they're halfway thru the sentence#since most of the time it's done them well. For getting information; finding people for schemes; making friends; having fun ETC ETC ETC!#Some of them would have such a hard time acclimating to new non-flirty strategies bc of this force of habit 😭 ADJASHDSAGASDHSJ#Them opening their mouth to say smth flirty to a rando/friend: (saying nothing for a LONGGG second) (forcefully closing it again) (Cough.)#It goes away in time ofc. It just takes a bit in the beginning of the r/s bc we're talking a Decade or more of flirting /daily/ w everyone#At least for the few who flirt more for fun rather than for obtaining info/pawns it helps more than you'd imagine if their s/o flirts back!#As for the others (eyeing Lyney In Particular)..... well. just smack them like a TV that's not working properly til their habit dies out 💔#The men on my roster are some of the worst to get close to. Are there ever times Malyshka is in the mood for some retail therapy and actually encourages Bucky to go wild with the black card?
Bucky knows you're not always comfortable letting him spoil you. But he knows one place you can't resist. thats the newindie bookstore downtown. He'll buy out the entire place if you want.
Pairing: Mafia!Bucky x Reader
WC: 1.8K
CW: Bucky being a menace, flirting, teasing, kissing and a hint of upcoming smut. Bucky is taller than reader. Minors DNI.
A/N: Written on my phone and unbetad. Also we're going to ignore that this is a week late.
You rarely agree to let your mobster spoil you the way he wants. So when you do get in the mood to indulge him and let him buy out every shop on Fifth Avenue, Bucky takes full advantage of the opportunity.
Sometimes you get the urge to spend his money, let yourself enjoy everything he has to offer.
Other times, he has to bribe you.
“I have enough clothes Bucky. I can only wear so much jewelry,” you sigh like you’re aggrieved by this conversation. He knows you too well to fall for your act. “I don’t need anything else.”
Oh, you don’t? We’ll see Malyshka.
Bucky runs his thumb across his bottom lip, a hint of wicked amusement flashing across his face. “So you’re not interested in checking out the new bookstore that opened up on broadway?”
You freeze. Eyes flickering in his direction the second the word bookstore rolls of his tongue. Oh. He knew that would get your attention.
“If you want, I could close the place down. Let you shop in peace. Pick out as many books as you want for as long as you want,” He offers, his casual tone in a stark dichotomy with the excited gleam in his eyes, lips curve into a smirk and he leans forward, elbow on his knee, chin resting on his palm. Watching with you inch closer and closer to his trap like a lion patiently waiting for a gazelle. “If you want me too.”
This man. This sweet, insufferable, incorrigible man. You look up, searching the ceiling like it has a good excuse for you to turn down this offer. It doesn’t. And you don’t. So you spent an hour arguing with him over the way he showers you with gifts and yeah, you just demanded that he stop spending so much. But the prospect of unlimited books is enticing.
And he knows your weaknesses. Bucky doesn’t play fair.
His teeth are at your neck. And you’re so close to giving in that he can taste it. “You can tell me about your favorites while I carry them for you.”
You can see it. Clear as day. Your six foot something mobster in his signature black suit, sleeves rolled up past tattooed forearms, carrying your books as he follows you around the quiet bookstore, listening to you ramble on about your most anticipated series. The mere thought is like a shot of vanilla whiskey straight in your veins, warm and heady, making your heart race. Your resistance falls and crumbles the more you picture the two of you surrounded by books.
And when you meet his eyes, he knows he has you. He’s going to spoil you one way or the other.
The bookstore is a converted music store. Some of the old art work is still displayed on the walls. The framed album covers emphasize the laid-back aesthetic. Large windows covered in quotes block most of the summer sun, leaving the warm overhead lights to cast a dim warm glow over the rows of packed shelves. The unmistakable smell of books drifts through the air. Oversized plush chairs paired with small tables are scattered throughout the space. The only other people in here are a couple of employees sitting at the checkout desk.
He’s a few steps behind you. Looking even better than you fantasized. Jacket discarded on a table near the entrance. Books piled on one arm, his tattooed biceps bulging under the growing weight. One book turned into two turned into the towering stack he’s carting around.
At first, you thought he was only asking about your books to be polite. But the longer you talk, the more interested he becomes and the more you realize he genuinely cares.
He wants to know everything. Why you picked out that particular book? I love this author. Why you’re reading this series. This was recommended to me and the first book ended on cliffhanger. I’ve been dying to know what happens next. Why you prefer this genre over that one? I guess I love reading about love.
That gave him pause, and he stores that little detail away for later.
He decides he’s going to get copies of every book you picked out and read them. Bucky has this constant need to know more about you and he’ll take every opportunity to gain insight into the things you like.
“What’s your most anticipated read this year?”
“Too many to name Bucky,” you laugh.
“I got time Malyshka.” His free curving under your chin so he could gaze into yours. “Tell me about them.”
He means it. You’ve been in here for hours now and he’s never checked his watch or pulled out his phone. Never get even a hit of being bored.
He’s too busy paying attention to the books you linger on, figuring out your preferences, noticing the way your eyes light up when you spot a special edition. He’s too busy watching you to think about anything else. He’s too busy falling more in love with you.
The more comfortable you get, the bolder your choices are. His brows quirk here and there when you start selecting your more salacious choices.
The teasing is gradual, feels natural, almost as if the two of you have always done this, like this is your hundredth time browsing this bookstore and not the first. His questions are both hilarious and endearing.
Why do you need to read a mafia romance when you have me? So you can read about billionaires, but I can’t spend money on you. I see how it is, Malyshka. You read a lot of smutty things, don’t you? I’m noticing a kinky little pattern here. Want to tell me about it?
No.
Well.
Later. You hissed that, eyes covertly searching the space even though it’s just the two of you on the second floor. He only grinned. You have no idea that you’ve already told him more about your fantasies than you realize.
He lets that go for now. Bucky plans on questioning you again. In private. With a lot less clothes on.
You stop in front of a particular series, already anticipating his response. It’s difficult not give yourself away, willing your lips not to move. His brows raise slowly as you pull the alien romance off the shelf. The cover is, well, it’s something, it couldnt be mistaken for anything other than a smutty alien romance. Choices were made. It’s not like you’re going to read this in public.
You stare at him staring down at it and you place it on the stack.
His gaze lifts and he drags it down your frame and back up, an unreadable expression in his deep blues. You shrug, lips slipping between to hide a chagrined smile. Heat fanning across your face.
“Malyshka is there something you want to tell me?” He takes a step closer. “Anything I should know—” His tongue sweeps across his bottom lip. “—about this particular fantasy?”
“No. I only got that because—,” you start when he takes another languid, deliberate glance over the cover. “Wait. Let me explain. And besides you’re not supposed to judge a book by its cover.” You do but that's not the point.
“Oh I need to hear this,” he laughs, peering down at you. “And for the record, I’m judging you and this book.”
You could pick the wildest book in the place and he wouldn't judge. Tease yes. Of course, he's obligated as your man to do so.
If anyone else said that you would have been offended, Bucky would have been offended.
But there’s something about the way he says it with the right balance of endearing amusement and playfulness that the thought never crosses your mind. You lean into your instincts and decide to play his game.
“You know what. Forget it,” you sniff, letting your face drop, arms folding across your chest and you turn away. If you know him as well as you think you, you have two seconds before you feel his body heat on your back. "Maybe you don't deserve to know how the alien mating ritual."
Not even a second later, he immediately follows you with a murmured please tell me kissed softly below your ear.
You do. Although the explanation for the book isn’t any better than the cover when you get to the vibrating 'additions' the aliens possess.
Bucky teases you throughout. All lighthearted. Never demeaning. Done in a way that leaves no room for embarrassment, not when he has you laughing in the middle of the monster romance section.
You love how comfortable he makes you feel, how it easy it is with him. You can share these parts of you and know that while he may play and tease and question, but he’s never going to make you feel bad for whatever you read. And he’s intrigued. Even if he won’t admit it aloud.
“So let me get this straight. This alien spur thing happens to fit right next on her cli—” he cuts off with a chuckle when you elbow him right in his middle of his firm six-pack.
“Yes. It does. And before you ask, she enjoys every second of it.”
By the time you get to the end of the aisle, the conversation tapers off when you get distracted by a set of books with sprayed edges. It takes a minute to find the first in the series, you pick it up and flip it open to the first page, the book heavy in your hands.
The first paragraph is all you need to make up your mind. When you turn to add it to your pile, you find Bucky gazing at you with this indescribably tender expression in his eyes.
“You don’t know what you’re doing to me, do you?”
“What?”Your mouth goes dry and every inch of you becomes aware of how close he is. But not close enough.
Bucky doesn’t answer, instead, he takes the book from your grasp and sets everything down on one of the tables.
His footsteps are quiet on the carpet. He keeps going until you’re backed into the shelves. His hands cup your face. “No idea.”
The words barely leave his lips before they’re on yours. The kiss starts off sweet and slow. You breathe him in, hands gripping his waist. His tongue slips between your lips and the taste of you awakens him. His lips meld to yours. The kiss becomes more. Possessive and deep. Needy. You feel his groan and it makes you shiver. One hand slips down to your ass, and he pulls you closer. He can’t get enough. He wants more. Needs more. God, you make him greedy. Bucky’s going to take everything and give you even more.
He breaks away, his lips hovering above yours, forehead pressed to yours. His cologne lingers on you, warm and fresh. “This looks good on you.”
It takes a second for your brain to catch up, still stuck on the way your lips ache from his touch. “What does?
“Being spoiled and happy. It looks so fucking good on you Malyshka. Makes you even more stunning. You have no idea,” he murmurs softly, chaining kisses down your throat, your pulse pounding under his touch. “No idea that I’d know I’d do anything to keep you looking like this.”
He steps away, leaving you breathless and needy, holding the shelves of the fantasy section for support. Runs a hand through his hair, adjusts his erection and picks up your books. Debates kissing you again. Decides to wait until your in the car, he knew he got the windows tinted for a reason.
Grins at your flustered expression and winks.
“This is just the start.”
How do we feel about these two and reenacting one your favorite books 👀

We NEED more soft!Rafe after the new season. He moved out and got a whole house to himself maybe he could ask his girl to move in? Becasue he wants her there and to be part of his life...his new life where he's a better person
Request: SOFT RAFE PLSSS
I don't know when I found time to write this, but enjoy soft!Rafe asking his girlfriend to move in with him! Feel free to send more requests, I'll write when I find time
Warnings: soft!Rafe, relationship moving quickly, mention of Ward's death
—
‘’Rafe, I truly can’t see. I’m not cheating,'’ you promised as you walked with Rafe’s hands over your eyes.
He had picked you up in late afternoon and refused to tell you where you were going. Just that he wanted to show you something...and that you had to close your eyes during the whole drive.
Rafe laughed a bit, trusting you. ''Okay, okay.''
You walked a few more steps, then he stopped and removed his hands from your eyes, revealing a large two story house.
A frown formed between your eyebrows. ‘’Who's house is this?''
He wrapped his arms around you from behind, resting his chin on your shoulder. ‘’Mine,'' he whispered in your ear, giving you a gentle kiss on your jawline. ‘’As of this morning.''
Surprise filled your face. ‘’You bought a house?’’
Every time Rafe showed up to your place after a fight with his family — most often his father —, needing a bed to crash in for a few days, you tried talking to him about getting his own place. It would solve a lot of conflicts. But Rafe always said he wasn’t ready to leave the family nest.
Behind you, Rafe hummed. ‘’I bought it with a part of my dad’s inheritance money. Sharing a house with Rose is not possible anymore. Too much has happened...’’
You covered his hands with yours in silent support. You’d heard the ugly stories about Rose and Rafe. He hadn’t always made the best decisions in the past, but Rose constantly blamed him for everything bad that happened to the family. Rafe may have deep personal issues, but it was wrong of her to villainize him.
‘’Do you want a tour?’’ he asked, his voice brimming with excitement, and the eagerness in his eyes made it impossible for you to refuse.
You followed Rafe up the steps to the porch of his new home. He fumbled briefly with the key before pushing the door open, but just as you were about to enter, he pulled you to a sudden stop.
“Wait,” he ordered, his strong arms wrapping around you as he effortlessly lifted you up.
You squeaked, startled by the sudden move. ‘’Rafe, we're not married, you know,’’ you said with a soft laugh, looping an arm behind his neck. ‘’You don't have to carry me over the threshold."
He set you down gently on the wooden floor of the entrance hall and shut the door behind him.
Inside, the house felt big and empty, its openness accentuated by the sunlight streaming through the uncovered windows.
‘’I don’t know why, but I expected it to be fully furnished,’’ you admitted, glancing towards what you assumed was the living room.
Rafe chuckled, his fingers lacing with yours as he guided you further in. ‘’Some people do buy them furnished, but this one wasn’t. You’ll have to help me pick out furniture because I suck at decorating.’’
The kitchen was massive and even had two ovens — a rich people thing. It was unfortunate Rafe didn’t cook. The backyard had a large patio where Rafe mentioned wanting to set a barbecue and a firepit, and maybe one of those large daybeds. He wanted his house to be cozy and feel like a home, not look straight out of a fucking magazine.
As he led you into the last room upstairs, the master bedroom, Rafe's voice grew soft. The words were burning on his tongue, but he didn’t know how to say them.
‘’And here's our bedroom. I mean, the bedroom.’’ He made a mistake on purpose, just to see your reaction.
You tried to hide the smile that spread across your lips, your heart beating fast in your chest. The slip of his tongue hadn't gone by unnoticed. Did he truly mean for you to live here with him? Was this why he took you to the house and insisted on making it a surprise?
‘’There’s a big bathtub in the master bedroom, and—’’ Rafe continued, moving toward the bathroom to show you the bathtub, but you were not listening.
Moving in with someone is a huge step in a relationship, not something you can decide on a whim. You and Rafe had only been together for a few months, so it felt a bit early to take that step. But then again, everything in your relationship had moved quickly from the start. He met your parents two weeks after your first kiss, and said ‘I love you’ after twenty-six days of dating — yes, you had counted them.
When Rafe glanced back at you, he noticed you seemed deep in thought. ‘’Is everything okay?’’ he asked, an eyebrow raised in concern.
You snapped out of your thoughts, shaking your head. ‘’Yeah, everything’s good,’’ you replied, smiling at him. ‘’I was just thinking of all the time it’ll take us to christen our house.’’ A mischievous grin curled on your lips as you walked toward him. ‘’Maybe we should start now. It’s a big house.’’
Rafe’s eyes flickered with surprise as he heard what you were implying. He expected you to refuse, to say it was too soon.
‘’You’ll move in with me?’’ he asked, a hint of disbelief in his voice.
You nodded, and a smile curled on Rafe's face. He's never been happier.

Girl dad smoke (taking care of wife a daughter)

notes: okay i know this was sent in bc i asked for modernau reqs but i feel like i can write this better for the actual sinners universe smoke... :)))
You let out a hum of contentedness, leaning your head back against your husband's shoulders. His arms were wrapped securely around your waist as you both lounged on the outdoor settee, taking in the Mississippi sunset before you. His hands rested on your growing stomach, thumbs stroking gentle patterns.
You were almost six months along in your pregnancy, and Smoke had been with you every step of the way, as he had promised you when you first announced the news to him.
"You know," you broke the comfortable silence. "I think we're having a boy. He sits so low, 'n all the ladies say that means it's a boy."
"Stop calling my daughter a boy," he mumbled with a kiss to your temple, smiling when you let out a laugh.
"You mind what we have?" you asked.
He shook his head no. "Long as they healthy and grow up to be that 'n happy, I'on really mind."
You smiled at his words, placing your palms on top of his hands.
Life as an expecting mother was going by a lot faster than you imagined. One day you were with your mother picking out materials to make baby clothes from, the next you were sitting back relaxing as Smoke, Stack and Sammie attempted to build a baby crib.
"It don't look right," Smoke frowned. He stood behind you, arms wrapped around your stomach like they always were whenever he was around you lately.
"Man, how else it's supposed to look?" Sammie huffed, and you laughed. They'd been at it since the early morning and it was almost four o'clock now.
"Not like that, nigga. Why it only got three legs?"
"'Cause we're not fuckin' done with it yet, bruh. Chill, goddamn." Stack kissed his teeth, and you took that as your queue to get them something to drink, leaving them to bicker amongst themselves.
Your growing family was everything to you, and your heart warmed at every moment they spent tending to you and your unborn child. That was, when Smoke let them get close to you.
Smoke was already overprotective of you. but you when carrying his unborn child? It's like people needed permission to even breathe near you.
He needed you in his eyesight at all times or he'd start going insane. Never wanted you to do any heavy lifting, or even lift a finger if it was something he could handle.
"Whatchu doin' that for?" he'd scold you when he caught you about to step on a dining room chair to grab a box of your things from the top shelf.
"Elijah, I could've gotten that," you smiled sheepishly when his hand held your waist to place you back down on the ground, picking the box up for you.
"Yeah well, you ain't need to do all that when I'm right here," he kissed your cheek, sitting down on the chair with you in his lap as you opened up the box, revealing things from your childhood.
All this never phased you, if anything, it just solidified the feeling you had that he would make such a great father.
─── ༉‧₊˚✧ ───
"Stack, you drop her an' I swear to God, we gon' fight," Smoke mugged his brother as he played with his daughter, throwing her up into the air and catching her again.
"Man, move. I'm not gonna." Stack kissed his teeth, tickling his niece.
Three years ago, you gave birth to your daughter, Amaya Marie, and ever since, she'd been such a light in your life. Today, everyone was celebrating her birthday at yours and Smoke's house, the bustling sounds of laughter and chatter all around you.
You could hear her giggles as she played around with her Uncle Stack, the only important thing at the moment being that she was happy.
"She's fine, stop worrying," you brought your hands to either side of your husband's face, literally smoothing away his frown as you caressed his skin. He hummed, tearing his eyes away from his daughter to look at you, kissing your lips thrice.
Amaya had changed Smoke's life in ways he didn't even know could be changed. He found himself having a new purpose in life, catering for both you and her. Everything he did was for the both of you, making sure she didn't grow up to know the life of hardship and struggles.
She may have had your eyes and nose, but her personality? Oh boy, that was growing to be all Smoke. He spoiled her, as you often complained, but that didn't stop him from doing it.
Every new dress, new toy, new hair clip had her fawning over her father even more.
"Daddy look!" Amaya came running towards you both, as fast as her little legs could carry her. Smoke pulled away from you to pick her up and your eyes widened as she waved her hand in your face, showing off a crisp $10 bill.
"The hell?" you mumbled, looking at Smoke who just shrugged at you.
"Where'd you get this from, baby?" he asked Amaya, kissing her cheek over and over.
"From Uncle Stack," she managed to say through her giggles as Smoke tickled her.
You rolled your eyes playfully, knowing that if it wasn't Smoke giving her money, then it definitely was one of her uncles.
Just like her daddy, Amaya had grown to be quite the negotiator at just three years old.
"Is that right?" Smoke smiled, a little idea forming in his mind. "You wanna get some more?"
Amaya nodded, waving the bill around in her hand. He adjusted her in his arm, his free hand taking a hold of yours, leading you to sit down at the table with the rest of the ladies, Pearline handing you a cool glass of lemonade as you sat down.
"Say bye to mama," Smoke brought her closer to your face, and you smiled when she kissed your cheek, waving goodbye.
"Don't hurt my baby, Elijah," you warned him, taking a sip of the drink in front of you. He waved you off, walking away from you and towards where Stack, Sammie and them were, beers in their hands as they stood around laughing.
The smile on Stack's face grew when he saw two of his favourite people approaching him. "Wassup lil' bit?" He ruffled the top of Amaya's head, messing up her curls.
"Now, you know damn well Y/N gon' get you for doing that," Smoke swatted his brother's hand away, trying to fix his daughter's hair. "Heard you gave lil' miss some money."
"Yeah, she deserves it." Stack smiled.
Smoke nodded, looking down at Amaya you was already looking up at him like he hung the planets and stars in the sky. "Go 'head baby, just like we practiced before," he whispered to her.
Amaya nodded, turning around in her father's arms. "This ain't gonna work, Uncle Stack," she spoke clearly, waving the money in his face now.
Stack paused mid sip, furrowing his brows. "Whatchu mean by that?"
"I mean," Amaya huffed. "This isn't enough."
Stack cut his eyes to his brother, who held a proud smirk on his face as he looked back at him. "Girl, it's $10, that's plenty for you."
"Nuh uh," Amaya shook her head, earning a laugh from Sammie. Who handed off the music to Slim so he could join the conversation.
"Say Stack, you gettin' pressured by a youngin'?" he laughed, dodging when Stack stuck his arm out at him.
"Aight then," he bent down to Amaya's height in his brother's arms. "Name your price."
Amaya thought hard for a moment. "A hundred."
Stack let out a loud laugh, and even Smoke chuckled at that. "Girl, I said name a price, not be delusional. Must get that from your mother," he mumbled the last part, but Smoke heard loud and clear, punching Stack's shoulder. "It was a fucking joke, my God."
"Try a lil' lower baby. Don't lowball though, that's how you get 'em to take you serious," Smoke encouraged her, rubbing her arm soothingly. She nodded, turning back to her uncle.
"40."
"20."
"40."
"25."
"50."
"Aight, I'll give you forty, stop this madness," Stack huffed, opening his wallet as Amaya turned to Smoke.
"I did good?"
"You did great baby," he kissed both her cheeks as Stack handed his niece the money.
"We gotta take her with us one day, almost had me emptying my pockets." Stack watched as she ran over to her mother with all her money, smiling when she looked their way.
"Man, shut up."

trust [ceo!h x shy!reader]

synopsis: bambi wants to try something new
word count: 7.9k
contains: ceo!harry x assitant!y/n, deer!reader vibes, fluff, age gap (9 years), shy reader, boyfriend!h, smut (soft smut like very gentle and loving), inexperienced y/n
this is part 4 of Bambi, read part 3 here
. . .
How do I shave down there without getting red, itchy bumps?
Follow these six simple steps to prepare for your first time!
How to suck dick 101
Y/N scrolled through a Reddit page at her desktop computer at work, the screen glowing softly in the dim office lighting. It was a page she had found after typing into Google, ‘how to prepare for your first time.’ Hundreds of subreddits appeared, each packed with questions and experiences Y/N hadn’t even considered until reading about them. She had fallen down the rabbit hole, finding a question and then getting lost in the responses.
Lostrabbit23: I lost my virginity at 15 and it was the worst experience of my life!!!! Lasted five minutes and the guy came before he even put his dick inside me, I swear.
Redberry5: Lost my virginity at 25 and it was a good experience. I’m glad I waited for the right person.
Whitedude32: Can’t understand how people can still be virgins past 18 tbh - just get it over with and live a little.
Y/N gnawed on her bottom lip, her eyes absorbing every word on the page. It seemed unnecessary, and she knew she was overthinking as she normally did, but… Y/N had a boyfriend now. A real boyfriend. And with every boyfriend, she knew what was expected.
The more she read, the more she realized how little she knew. A seed of doubt planted itself within her, growing with every scroll. What if Harry found out just how inexperienced she was? What if he didn’t think she looked pretty naked and ended up having second thoughts about being with her? The thought made her stomach twist in knots.
"Are you watching porn?" Lindsey sauntered over to Y/N's desk, balancing a stack of binders on her hip. Y/N's heart skipped a beat as she frantically clicked off the incognito tab and opened a random Microsoft Word document.
"W-What?" Y/N stammered, her cheeks flushing a deep crimson. "No! Of course not."
"Hmm," Lindsey placed the binders down with a soft thud and crossed her arms, her gaze narrowing. "Then why do you look like I just caught you red-handed? That’s not like you."
"I wasn’t doing anything," Y/N blurted, trying to keep her voice steady. "Just looking at today’s meeting notes."
Lindsey leaned in, peering over Y/N’s shoulder. "These notes are from three weeks ago."
Y/N’s eyes darted to the date at the top of the page. "I was catching up?" she added, her voice faltering.
Lindsey raised an eyebrow, skepticism clear on her face. "So, is this Reddit obsession new, or have you always had it?"
Y/N’s face burned hotter. "I-I don’t know what you’re talking about."
Lindsey gave her a pointed look, "You left your tabs open during lunch. Rookie mistake."
Y/N felt like dying, “I did?” She almost felt like crying, embarrassment washing over her entire body she could feel it burning, “I-I was just researching stuff,”
Lindsey’s expression softened slightly, a smirk tugging at the corner of her mouth. " What kind of 'stuff' are we talking about here?"
Y/N hesitated, her fingers nervously tapping the edge of her keyboard. "Just… things. You know, advice. Relationship stuff."
Lindsey’s eyes lit up with curiosity. "Oh, relationship stuff? Now we're getting somewhere. Who’s the lucky man?”
Y/N and Harry were both sure that Lindsey already knew they were an item but they weren’t going to risk slipping their facade by bringing it up, “Just somebody.”
Lindsey looked knowingly, “Okay well are you planning on taking the next step with this just somebody?”
Y/N hesitated, unsure how to respond. Whenever things got too intense with Harry, she had a habit of pulling away or steering the conversation elsewhere. It wasn’t because she didn’t want to share those moments with him—she did. But she needed to feel ready, to prepare herself for something so intimate.
“I... I think I want to,” she said softly, avoiding his eyes. Her voice trembled as she added, “I just... I just want to be good.”
Lindsey’s expression softened immediately. “Oh, sweetheart,” she murmured, stepping forward to wrap Y/N in a warm hug. The gesture brought a lump to Y/N’s throat. In the weeks since she’d started her new job, Lindsey had become like the older sister she’d never had—someone she could trust completely.
Pulling back, Lindsey held Y/N’s shoulders firmly, her voice gentle but steady. “First of all, you never have to do anything you’re not comfortable with. Sex isn’t a performance, it’s personal. It’s about intimacy, connection, and trust. Whatever happens is between you and whoever you’re with, and that’s all that matters.
“Second,” she added with a small smile, “it’s not as complicated as people make it seem. Even if it’s awkward or messy at first, that’s okay. You’ll learn together. That’s one of the best parts of being with someone—discovering their little quirks, preferences, kinks and everything inbetween. Trust me, you’ll be fine. And if anyone ever makes you feel less than beautiful in the process? They’re not worth your time.”
Y/N exhaled, feeling a weight lift from her chest. “Oh no, he’s perfect,” she confessed, her voice tinged with a dreamy sigh. “Better than that. He’s... everything.”
Lindsey chuckled, glancing at her watch. “Well, speaking of perfect, it’s time for us to take a well-deserved lunch break.”
“What?” Y/N blinked in surprise as Lindsey grabbed her hand, tugging her toward the door.
Before she could protest further, Lindsey swung open the door to Harry’s office, revealing him seated at his desk in a perfectly pressed suit. Y/N hadn’t seen much of him that morning, and the sight of him made her heart flutter. She wanted nothing more than to cross the room and curl up in his lap.
Harry glanced up, his lips curving into a warm smile as soon as he spotted her.
“We’re taking an early lunch,” Lindsey declared.
Harry raised an eyebrow, checking the clock on his wall. “It’s 11:30. Lunch doesn’t start for another hour.”
Lindsey waved a dismissive hand. “We’ve been working so hard we deserve an extra break.”
Y/N snapped out of her daze just in time to nod in agreement, though the gesture only made Harry’s gaze soften further.
“Is that right, Miss Y/L/N?” he asked, his tone teasing.
Y/N felt her cheeks heat up. “Mhm,” she mumbled. “We’ve been working very hard.”
Harry chuckled, his gaze flicking back to Lindsey. “Fine. An hour extra, but that’s it. If anyone asks, you’re running errands.”
Lindsey grinned. “Yes, boss. Oh, and we’ll need your credit card.”
Harry scoffed. “Not happening.”
“Worth a shot.” Lindsey shrugged, then headed for the door. Before leaving, she shot them a pointed look. “I’ll grab my coat. No funny business, you two. I’ll be waiting outside.”
As soon as the door clicked shut, Harry stood, straightening his jacket before walking over to Y/N. He reached for her hand, his voice dropping to a soft murmur. “Hi, baby.”
“Hi, Harry,” she whispered, her breath catching as he leaned down to kiss her gently.
“Everything okay?” he asked, his eyes searching hers. “You don’t have to go with Lindsey, you know. You could stay here and spend your lunch break with me.”
The suggestion was far too tempting, and Harry’s smile only made it harder to resist.
“She hasn’t even told me where we’re going,” Y/N shrugged, trying to play it cool despite the rapid beat of her heart.
Harry reached down, tangling his fingers with hers. His touch was warm, grounding. He pressed a soft kiss to her forehead. “Wherever she’s taking you, make sure you don’t overdo it, okay? We still have plans tonight, remember?”
Y/N’s stomach fluttered. Harry had been teasing her about the surprise date all week. She was excited, but also nervous—especially after his cryptic text telling her to wear something she didn’t mind getting dirty.
Harry kissed her again, but their moment was cut short by a loud knock on the door.
“Hurry it up in there! Time’s ticking!” Lindsey’s muffled voice called through the door.
Y/N couldn’t help the giggle that bubbled out of her, and Harry’s lips curved into a soft smile at the sound.
“Here,” he said, pulling his wallet from the inside pocket of his blazer. He slid out a gleaming gold AMEX card and pressed it into her hand.
Y/N’s eyes widened. “O-Oh, no, I couldn’t possibly—”
“Bambi,” Harry interrupted, his tone firm but affectionate. The nickname made her heart skip. “Take it.”
His commanding presence was enough to make her stop arguing. She looked up at him, cheeks tinged pink, and nodded.
Y/N stared at the card in her hand like it might bite her. “But Harry,” she whispered, glancing up at him with wide eyes, “I don’t even know what to do with this. What if I lose it? What if I spend too much? What if—”
Harry chuckled softly, the sound warm and reassuring. He cupped her cheek, his thumb brushing over her flushed skin. “Bambi, all you need to do is enjoy yourself. You deserve it.”
Her lips parted, and she blinked up at him, unsure what to say. “I’ll take good care of it,” she promised in a tiny voice, clutching the card. “And I’ll bring it right back. I promise I won’t spend too much!”
“I know you won’t,” he murmured, a hint of amusement dancing in his voice. “I trust you.”
Before she could overthink it any further, Harry leaned down and kissed her forehead again, lingering just long enough for her to feel the warmth of him. “Go have fun.”
Her heart did a nervous little flip at the reminder. “O-Okay,” she stammered, her voice barely above a whisper.
Lindsey’s voice interrupted again, sharp but teasing. “Alright, lovebirds, seriously! I’m giving you ten seconds before I come in there and drag her out myself!”
Y/N squeaked and turned to the door. “Coming!” she called, her voice high-pitched and rushed.
Harry smirked, clearly enjoying her flustered state. He stepped back and adjusted his tie, looking every bit the polished professional, but his eyes were still soft as they followed her.
“Be good,” he teased, his voice low enough that only she could hear.
Her cheeks turned an even deeper shade of pink. “I’ll try,” she mumbled, giving him a quick, shy smile before hurrying out of the office.
Outside, Lindsey was waiting with her hands on her hips, an exaggeratedly impatient expression on her face.
“About time,” she said, grabbing Y/N’s hand and tugging her down the hallway. “Now, let’s see what kind of trouble we can get into with that fancy credit card of his.”
Y/N let out a soft giggle, her fingers curling around the card in her hand. She glanced back toward Harry’s office door one last time, her heart still racing. Even though she was nervous about tonight, she couldn’t help but feel a little giddy, too.
Lindsey noticed the dreamy look on Y/N’s face and rolled her eyes with a grin. “You’ve got it bad, don’t you?”
Y/N looked away, pressing her lips together as a shy smile spread across her face. “Maybe,” she whispered, her voice barely audible.
“Oh, you’re adorable,” Lindsey laughed, throwing an arm around her shoulders. “Come on, let’s make this lunch break worth it.”
. . .
Y/N stood in the small changing room, staring at the pile of delicate lingerie Lindsey had hung on the door hook. Each set was softer and more intricate than the last, made from lace, satin, and ribbons in pastel tones of blue, lavender, mint, and blush. She felt like a clumsy giant in a room of dainty, breakable things.
“I don’t know if I can do this,” Y/N called softly through the door.
“You’ve got this,” Lindsey replied encouragingly. “Try the pink one first. It’s so you.”
With trembling hands, Y/N picked up the light blush pink set, the soft lace slipping between her fingers like a whisper. She changed quickly, careful not to look too long in the mirror, and hesitated before stepping out.
“Alright, let me see,” Lindsey said, her voice full of excitement.
Y/N cracked open the door and peeked out timidly. “Promise you won’t laugh?”
“Promise. Now, come on!”
Taking a deep breath, Y/N stepped out, crossing her arms over her chest shyly. The pastel pink lace hugged her figure, delicate straps tracing over her shoulders and down her back. Lindsey’s eyes lit up as she took in the sight.
“Oh, you look so cute!” Lindsey grinned. “It’s perfect! Very soft, very sweet. What do you think?”
Y/N glanced at her reflection in the mirror outside the stall, biting her lip. “I don’t know... It feels like... too much? Or maybe not enough?”
Lindsey shook her head, placing a reassuring hand on Y/N’s shoulder. “It’s not too much, and it’s definitely not too little. It’s elegant and adorable, just like you.”
Y/N flushed and retreated back into the stall to try the next set. The routine continued for several minutes, with Y/N emerging in pastel greens, blues, and creams. Finally, she reached for the last set—a soft taupe-pink shade, almost like the color of cocoa mixed with milk.
When she stepped out in this set, Lindsey gasped softly. “Oh my god.”
Y/N immediately crossed her arms again. “Is it bad? I knew it was too much—”
“No!” Lindsey interrupted, shaking her head vehemently. She stepped closer and took Y/N by the shoulders, turning her toward the mirror. “Look at yourself. You look like a little deer.”
Y/N blinked at her reflection, her brow furrowed. The taupe-pink color complimented her skin tone, and the simple but elegant design made her feel... grown-up, yet still herself.
“I... I don’t know,” she murmured, her voice shaky.
“Hey.” Lindsey crouched slightly to catch Y/N’s gaze in the mirror. “You’re beautiful, Y/N. Stunning. And Harry is going to lose his shit when he sees you in this.”
Y/N’s cheeks flamed. “Lindsey!” she squeaked, burying her face in her hands.
Lindsey laughed, wrapping an arm around her shoulders. “What? It’s true! Now, I think we’ve found the winner. Let’s go pay before I start crying over how cute you look.”
Y/N nodded shyly, stealing one last glance at herself in the mirror. For the first time, she felt a spark of confidence in her chest. Maybe Harry would love it.
Or, at the very least, she loved it—and that felt just as important.
. . .
Y/N sat comfortably in the passenger seat of Harry’s Porsche, her old t-shirt soft against her skin and her blue jeans slightly worn at the knees. Her baby pink ballet flats rested lightly on the floor, toes tapping absentmindedly as she gazed out the window, trying to decipher where he was taking her.
Harry, effortlessly cozy in his sweater and loose-fitting jeans, kept one hand on the wheel while the other held hers over the console. His black Vans were slightly scuffed, white socks peeking above the edges. At every red light, he lifted her fingers to his lips, pressing a tender kiss against them as if it were second nature.
“Did y’have fun with Lindsey today?” he asked, sparing a glance in her direction.
Y/N hesitated for a moment, then cleared her throat. “Y-Yeah, it was… fun.” She tried not to think about the underwear she had bought earlier particularly because she was currently wearing it beneath her very casual clothing.
Harry’s lips quirked up in amusement. “You don’t sound too sure about that.”
“No, it was!” she insisted, sitting up a little straighter. “It was really nice. I don’t spend a lot of time with other girls, so it felt… different. In a good way.”
His smile softened as he gave her hand a reassuring squeeze before returning his focus to the road. “Y’know you’re welcome to spend time with Sarah and Alessia too.”
“But they’re your friends,” Y/N frowned. “Wouldn’t you feel like I was taking them away?”
Harry scoffed, shaking his head. “Of course not. What’s mine is yours, love. You’re my girlfriend, remember?”
Y/N’s lips twitched, a giddy warmth settling in her chest. She let her head fall back against the headrest, a slow smile curling on her lips.
“What?” Harry grinned, flicking his eyes toward her for a second.
“I just like it when you say that,” she admitted.
“What? Girlfriend?” he teased, his dimples appearing as he chuckled.
“Mhm,” she hummed, cheeks heating up. “I can’t believe I’m a girlfriend.”
Harry laughed, bringing her hand up to kiss her knuckles. “You’re not just a girlfriend, you’re my girlfriend. All mine.”
She liked that label even more.
Later on, the soft crunch of gravel beneath the tires signaled their arrival. Harry pulled into a small stone parking lot in front of what looked like a quaint, cottage-style home. The windows glowed warmly against the dusky sky, lace curtains fluttering slightly from the inside. There was no sign or indication of where they were, just an inviting little house with flower boxes lining the window sills.
Y/N glanced around, unbuckling her seatbelt. “Where are we?”
Harry smirked, already opening his door. “You’ll see.”
Curiosity buzzed in her stomach as she climbed out of the car, the crisp evening air wrapping around her. Harry met her at the front, slipping his hand into hers and leading her toward the wooden door.
Before she could ask any more questions, the door creaked open to reveal an elderly woman with wispy white hair pinned up in a loose bun. She wore a pastel apron dusted with flour and had a kind twinkle in her eye.
“Harry, darling!” she greeted, pulling him into a soft hug before turning to Y/N with an equally warm smile. “And you must be Y/N! Oh, you’re just as lovely as he said.”
Y/N’s brows shot up as she looked between Harry and the woman. “He’s mentioned me?”
“Oh, love, he wouldn’t stop talking about you,” she chuckled, stepping aside to usher them in. The scent of vanilla and butter filled the air, making Y/N’s mouth water. “Come in, come in, we’ve got cakes to decorate!”
Y/N’s jaw dropped slightly as she turned to Harry. “Really?”
Harry grinned, squeezing her hand. “Thought you’d like it.” Y/N let out a delighted squeal as she followed him inside.
The cozy kitchen looked straight out of a storybook—wooden shelves lined with jars of sugar and sprinkles, floral-printed tea towels hanging neatly by the stove, and a large wooden table in the center covered with piping bags, frosting tubs, and trays of undecorated cupcakes.
Y/N hesitated at the doorway, her fingers curling around Harry’s sleeve as she peeked inside. “I’ve always wanted to do a baking class,” she admitted, eyes wide with curiosity.
Harry turned to her with a grin. “I know,”
She furrowed her brows, “How did you find out?”
“You’re brothers told me,” He shrugged.
The elderly woman, who had introduced herself as Margaret, beamed at her. “Don’t worry if you’ve never done this before—I’ll show you everything!”
Y/N’s fingers fiddled with the edge of her sleeve as she stepped further into the cozy kitchen, taking in the warm scent of vanilla and sugar. She glanced at Harry, still feeling a little surprised that he had gone out of his way to plan something so thoughtful.
Margaret handed them each an apron, and Y/N hesitated before slipping hers over her head. As she struggled to tie the strings behind her back, she felt a familiar presence behind her.
“Here, Bambi,” Harry murmured, gently tugging the ends and tying them into a neat bow.
Y/N swallowed, her fingers curling slightly against the fabric of her apron. “Thank you…” she said softly, peeking up at him.
Harry just hummed, the corner of his mouth twitching as he reached for his own apron.
Margaret clapped her hands together. “Now, let’s get started! We’ve got a few cakes ready for decorating, and you two can pick whichever frosting colors you like.”
Y/N followed her to the counter, where bowls of pastel-colored buttercream sat beside trays of undecorated cakes. She hovered near the edge, unsure where to start.
Harry, on the other hand, grabbed a piping bag without hesitation. “I used to work at a bakery so don’t be surprised if my cake turns into a masterpiece,” he declared, scooping up a generous amount of frosting.
Y/N watched him for a moment, then turned back to her own cake. She carefully picked up a piping bag but hesitated before squeezing it. “What if I mess it up?” she murmured, more to herself than anyone else.
Margaret overheard and smiled warmly. “There’s no such thing, dear. It’s just cake. If it doesn’t turn out how you want, we’ll eat the evidence.”
Y/N let out a small giggle, feeling a little more at ease. She took a deep breath and pressed down on the piping bag, carefully swirling the frosting onto the cake. Her hands were a little shaky, but as she stepped back, she couldn’t help but feel a tiny bit proud.
Harry glanced over and tilted his head. “That’s cute,” he said, nodding toward her cake.
Y/N tucked her chin down, suddenly feeling a little self-conscious. “You think so?”
“Yeah,” he said simply, before turning back to his own. “Almost as good as mine,”
Y/N peeked at his cake and bit her lip to hold back a giggle. His frosting was uneven, the swirls lopsided. She glanced up at him, unsure if she should say anything.
He must have noticed because he smirked. “Go on, laugh.”
She shook her head quickly. “N-No! I—I think it’s lovely.”
Harry chuckled, nudging her lightly. “lovely, huh?”
Y/N felt her face heat up and quickly focused back on her cake, hoping he wouldn’t notice.
Before she could react, Harry swiped a bit of icing onto his finger and gently smeared it across her cheek. She gasped, eyes widening in surprise as he leaned in slightly, a playful smirk on his lips.
“I think you’re lovely,” he murmured.
Margaret smiled knowingly. “You two make a lovely pair,” she said as she reached for some sprinkles. “Now, who wants to add the finishing touches?”
Y/N reached for a jar of soft pink sugar pearls, her fingers barely brushing Harry’s as he reached for the same one.
He didn’t move his hand right away, just glanced at her with a small smile. “You take it,” he said softly, his pinkie finger poking her hand. Y/N ducked her head, feeling a flutter in her chest as she carefully took the jar.
With the finishing touches added—Harry’s cake looking as delightfully messy as ever, and Y/N’s decorated with delicate swirls and tiny pearls—they both stepped back, admiring their work.
Margaret beamed at them. “Wonderful, both of you! Now, how about some tea? You’ve earned it.”
Y/N nodded quickly, grateful for something to do other than stand there under Harry’s watchful gaze. She followed Margaret to a cozy table near the window, where a teapot and delicate china cups were already set up. The scent of chamomile and honey filled the air as Margaret poured them each a cup.
Harry stretched out beside Y/N, his long legs brushing hers beneath the table. He didn’t seem to notice—or if he did, he wasn’t letting on.
As Y/N stirred a spoonful of sugar into her tea, curiosity finally got the better of her. She glanced between Harry and Margaret before speaking up softly. “How do you two know each other?”
Margaret smiled as she set down the teapot. “Oh, I’m an old friend of Harry’s mum. We go way back.” She turned to Harry with a teasing glint in her eye. “She’s actually coming to visit next week for his birthday.”
Y/N froze, her fingers tightening around her teacup.
Birthday?
Her mind spun. Harry hadn’t mentioned his birthday. Not once. And now she had to meet his mum?
Oh. Oh no.
She must’ve gone silent for too long because Harry’s gaze flickered toward her, his brows furrowing slightly.
Then, under the table, she felt it—his hand, warm and steady, pressing gently against her thigh.
Y/N’s breath hitched as she looked up at him, wide-eyed.
He didn’t say anything, just gave her a knowing look—one that was both amused and reassuring. His thumb brushed lightly over the fabric of her jeans, a silent gesture that somehow grounded her and made her even more flustered all at once.
“You alright, Bambi?” he asked, his voice low enough that only she could hear.
Y/N swallowed hard and nodded quickly, even though her heart was racing.
Harry’s lips twitched, clearly not believing her. But, mercifully, he didn’t push. He just kept his hand where it was, a steady presence beneath the table.
Y/N took a sip of her tea, hoping it would hide the blush creeping up her neck.
She had two problems now: figuring out what to do for his birthday and somehow surviving meeting his mum without making a complete fool of herself.
And, judging by the knowing smirk on Harry’s lips, he was well aware of both.
. . .
“Thank you for having us,” Y/N said softly, offering Margaret a small smile as they stood by the door.
Margaret waved a hand dismissively. “Oh, nonsense, dear. It was lovely having you both.” Then, with a knowing smile, she added, “You’re welcome to come back and do some baking with me anytime, Y/N.”
Y/N’s eyes widened slightly, caught off guard by the offer. She glanced at Harry, who was watching the exchange with amusement, then back at Margaret. “Oh—I’d love to,” she said shyly.
Margaret patted her arm warmly before turning to Harry. “Take care, love. And don’t forget to call your mum.”
Harry groaned playfully. “You’ve been talking to her too much.”
Margaret only laughed, waving them off as they made their way to the car.
Once inside, Y/N fastened her seatbelt and turned to look at Harry, who was adjusting the mirrors. She hesitated for a moment before finally voicing the thoughts swirling in her head.
“You didn’t tell me your mom was coming to see you,” she said, her fingers fidgeting in her lap. “Or that it was your birthday.”
Harry shot her a side glance, lips twitching slightly. “I didn’t want to panic you.”
She frowned. “About your birthday?”
“I don’t like the attention,” he admitted simply.
That made her pause. She looked at him, watching the way his fingers tapped idly against the steering wheel.
Silence settled between them for a beat before he spoke again, his voice quieter this time. “Are you mad?”
The question shocked her. Her brows knitted together. “No, of course not,” she said quickly. Then, softer, “Just… worried.”
Harry turned to her fully now, one arm draped over the steering wheel as he studied her. “Worried?”
“What if your mom doesn’t like me?” she murmured, her voice barely above a whisper.
His expression softened. “I think she already does.”
Y/N blinked. “Huh?”
“You’re all I talk about when I speak to her these days, Bambi,” he said, his voice warm, sure. “Believe me when I say you have nothing to worry about.”
A small huff left her lips as she sank deeper into her seat, still unsure if that made her feel better or worse.
“Bambiiiiii,” Harry drawled, his tone teasing. “Give me a kiss.”
She almost smiled, shaking her head as she turned toward him to say something—maybe to protest, maybe just to stall—but she never got the chance.
Before she could speak, Harry cupped her entire face in his hands, tilting her chin up as he kissed her.
Y/N melted instantly, her hands hesitating before resting lightly against his chest. His thumbs brushed over her cheeks, his lips moving against hers with a kind of lazy confidence that made her stomach flip.
He pulled back just enough for their noses to brush, a smirk tugging at his lips. “You taste like frosting,” he murmured against her mouth.
Y/N let out a breathless laugh, her fingers curling slightly against his shirt.
Maybe she was still nervous about meeting his mom. Maybe she was still reeling from the fact that his birthday was next week. But right now, in this moment, all she could focus on was him.
“Come on,” Harry’s hand rested on her knee, “Let’s get you home.”
The drive back was quiet, comfortable. The occasional hum of a song on the radio filled the space between them, but neither of them felt the need to talk much. Harry’s hand rested casually on the gear shift, fingers drumming lightly, while Y/N watched the familiar streets pass by through the window.
Before she knew it, they were outside her house. Harry shifted into park and turned toward her with a small smile. “Home safe, Bambi.”
Y/N reached for the door handle but hesitated.
She didn’t want the night to end just yet.
Biting her lip, she turned to face him properly. “Do you… want to come inside?”
Harry blinked, a flicker of surprise crossing his face, “Yeah?”
Y/N nodded, suddenly feeling a little nervous under his gaze. “Yeah.”
His face softened into something warmer, more curious. He tilted his head slightly, studying her. “You sure?”
Y/N swallowed, then nodded again. “I just—” She exhaled, giving a small shrug. “I’m not ready for you to leave yet.”
Harry’s expression changed, something fond flickering in his green eyes before he reached over, fingers brushing her chin briefly.
“Then I won’t,” he murmured.
With that, he shut off the car and stepped out, rounding to meet her at the front steps.
Y/N’s stomach fluttered as she unlocked the door, fully aware of Harry standing just behind her. And as she pushed it open and stepped inside, she couldn’t help but smile when she heard him close the door behind them.
“Everyone’s asleep. We can go upstairs to my room,” she whispered, locking the front door behind them. Slipping off her shoes, she glanced back as Harry did the same, his movements quiet and easy.
Without thinking, she reached for his hand, her fingers curling around his as she led him up the stairs. They tiptoed carefully past her brother’s rooms, the only sound the faint creak of the wooden steps beneath them.
Once inside, she gently shut the door and turned to find Harry standing in the middle of her room, his gaze slowly sweeping over the space.
It was strange seeing him there—so tall, so effortlessly cool—against the soft pink and white of her bedroom. He looked almost out of place, yet somehow, he didn’t.
His eyes landed on the mannequin in the corner, where a partially finished dress hung, delicate ruffles cascading down the fabric.
“Did you make this?” he asked, his voice laced with curiosity as he stepped closer, taking in the details.
Y/N tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, suddenly shy. “Yeah… it’s taking a lot longer than I thought it would.”
Harry turned to her, something like awe flickering across his face. “Bambi,” he murmured, shaking his head slightly. “You should be working with the design team at Pleasing, not stuck behind a desk.”
Her eyes widened, heat creeping up her neck. “Oh, no, no,” she protested quickly, waving a hand. “The desk job is more than enough.”
Harry just hummed, still admiring the dress. “At least give it a think.”
Y/N blinked, a confused smile tugging at her lips. “Wait, are you offering?”
Harry turned to face her, already standing just a step away, the small space of her room almost too close. His lips curled into a teasing grin. “I don’t know… do you want me to?”
Her heart skipped a beat, and before she could answer, Harry intertwined their fingers, his touch sending a jolt of warmth through her. He lowered his head, his lips ghosting over hers, just a breath away.
“I think you’re going to do such great things, Bambi,” he murmured, his voice soft but certain. “You don’t need me for that.”
Y/N’s breath hitched, the sincerity in his voice melting the walls she had built up around herself. Her chest tightened, and before she could stop herself, she kissed him, her lips pressing against his with a soft urgency.
His hands cupped her cheeks gently, his touch grounding her as she stepped back, the backs of her knees hitting the edge of her bed. They both tumbled onto it in a tangle of limbs, Y/N’s heart thudding loudly against her chest.
His hands moved to her hips, fingers digging into her skin beneath her shirt, pulling her closer. The warmth of his touch made her pulse quicken, and her mind raced, completely overwhelmed by the closeness.
Her thoughts scattered, and she found herself whispering, almost breathless. “Y—you can take it off.”
Harry’s hands stilled, his brows furrowing in confusion. “My shirt, I mean.”
His lips parted slightly, eyes widening as he processed what she’d said. “Are you sure?”
She nodded, her heart in her throat, “I-I’m sure,” She replied.
Harry didn’t respond at first, his eyes scanning her face to make sure she truly meant what she said. His fingers tugged on the ends of her shirt and she nodded once more to let him know it was okay and what she wanted.
Harry lifted her shirt, his fingers grazing her skin as he pulled it over her head. The cool air prickled against her newly exposed skin, but the way his gaze darkened sent a different kind of heat through her.
"God," he murmured, voice thick with something unspoken, his eyes scanned the underwear she was wearing. He said nothing at first, Y/N’s nerves growing at his silence. Her first instinct was to put her shirt back on to cover herself up but his fingers wrapped around her wrist, “Are you real?”
Y/N giggled, “I think so,” she poked her tummy and Harry laughed.
“I must have been good at some point in time, I don’t think you’d be here if I weren’t.”
“You are good Harry,” Y/N murmurs.
“For you,” Harry whispers, “I’ll be anything. Anything y’ want, Bambi. I’ll bend and break myself to be whatever you want me to be. I’ve never been one for religion, but I’ve only ever prayed long and hard for someone like you, and now here you are. You’re like holding a piece of Heaven.”
Y/N's breath catches, the weight of his words settling deep within her chest. She reaches up, her fingers brushing against his cheek, tracing the lines of his jaw with a softness that matches her racing heart. "Harry..."
His eyes soften as they meet hers, the intensity never wavering, but there's something tender in his gaze now, something that says he's not just talking about desire, but something deeper, more profound.
Y/N swallowed hard, her fingers twitching at her sides before she reached for the hem of his shirt. He smirked, eyes locked onto hers as he helped her tug it over his head, his movements fluid, confident. Her eyes rounded at the tattoos that littered his muscular torso. Her hands hesitated over the hard lines of his chest, the warmth of his skin under her fingertips making her pulse stutter.
"Go on," Harry urged, his voice low, teasing. "Touch me."
Her breath hitched, but she obeyed, palms trailing cautiously over his chest, feeling the steady, unshaken beat of his heart. Unlike her own, which was hammering in her ribs. She traced her fingers over a particular tattoo on his left pectoral.
Her gaze lifted to meet his, and she noticed the way his chest rose and fell with every breath, the warmth of his body against hers making her pulse quicken. Harry’s eyes softened as he watched her, his lips curling into a smile.
"Relax, love," he murmured, cupping her chin and tilting her face up to his. "S’just me."
And then he kissed her again—deep, sure, in control. His hands slid down to her waist, pulling her flush against him, and she melted into him, letting him take the lead, letting him guide her through the intensity of it all.
They kissed for a while, Harry’s hands roaming over her skin, slowly learning the contours of her body as though he were memorizing each moment. Y/N melted into him, feeling the heat between them grow, her heart racing, pulse quickening under his touch.
Y/N pulled away for a brief second to catch his breath, his eyes were hazy, his lips were pinker than usual and lazy grin lingered on his lips. “What are y’ thinking about Bambi?”
She wondered how he could already read her so well. Her mind had been drifting the entire evening to this very moment, and now she was in it, her mouth dry and she couldn’t seem to conjure up the words. “H-Harry I-” The words were on the tip of her tongue, her mind drifting to a reddit article she read three days prior with tips on this exact situation.
Harry waited patiently for her to continue, letting her have her space to gain the confidence to ask whatever she needed to. He could see the uncertainty in her eyes, the hesitation in her voice, and he respected it, not rushing her, not pushing for anything.
She sighed, her words barely above a whisper, "I bought this bra today."
Harry nodded, a soft smile tugging at his lips. "It’s very pretty, Bambi. So pretty on you." His lips brushed the side of her neck, a gentle, tender gesture meant to reassure her.
But Y/N could feel the weight of her own thoughts pressing on her chest. "B-but there’s a reason I bought it," she continued, her voice shaky.
Harry paused, his lips stilling against her skin as he pulled back slightly to look at her, his gaze full of warmth and curiosity. “What do you mean?”
She took a deep breath, her heart pounding in her chest as she gathered the courage to speak. "I... I want to try things with you."
Harry’s expression softened, the shock in his eyes mixing with a deeper understanding. He gave her a moment to continue, sensing that she wasn’t finished.
"I want you to do stuff with me." She felt her cheeks flush, but she held his gaze, refusing to look away.
He stayed silent for a beat, his fingers gently brushing a strand of hair from her face, his voice calm but filled with concern. "Are you sure?"
She nodded, her hands trembling slightly as she reached for his, needing his touch to ground her. “I want to touch you.” She whispered in his ear, her cheeks scorching.
Harry choked, “Bambi,” He could feel himself hardening in his trousers.
She quickly continued, her voice a little shaky. “But y—you have to help me because… reading things online make it hard to understand, and those articles about… it’s confusing.”
Harry took her hands in his, his thumbs brushing over her knuckles as he looked into her eyes, his expression filled with warmth. “Hey, it’s okay,” he reassured her gently. “We’ll go slow. No pressure. I’ll help you, I promise. What is it you had in mind, Bambi?”
“I’m too embarrassed to say it out loud,” She admitted, breezing past the whole ‘pretending to be confident’ moment she had pictured in her head. “I feel embarrassed not knowing anything.”
Harry’s gaze softened, and Y/N wasn’t sure why it comforted her. He wasn’t showing sympathy, frustration, or excitement—his expression was unreadable, almost effortless. It was as if her uncertainty didn’t matter to him, as if knowing nothing made no difference at all. Being with her was enough, and whatever came with it was just a bonus.
“How about I’ll help you first,” He gently guided her onto his lap, his hands steady on her waist as he settled her against him. “Just follow my lead, yeah?” His voice was soft, reassuring, but there was an edge of something deeper in his tone—something patient yet undeniably wanting.
Y/N’s breath hitched as she adjusted herself, feeling the warmth of his body beneath her. His hands, warm and firm, traced slow circles on her hips, grounding her. “You don’t have to rush,” he murmured, pressing a soft kiss to her temple. “This is just us. You and me.”
She exhaled shakily, her fingers gripping his shoulders as she let herself relax against him. The feeling was new, overwhelming but not in a bad way. Safe. Warm. Intimate in a way she hadn’t expected.
Harry’s fingers trailed up her spine, his touch featherlight but deliberate. “Tell me what feels good, Bambi,” he whispered, his lips ghosting over the shell of her ear. “We’ll figure this out together.”
Y/N swallowed, her body tingling at his words. “O-okay,” she breathed, trusting him completely.
Y/N shuddered as Harry’s hands splayed on her thighs, his fingers playfully playing with the hook of her underwear that rested on her hips. His thumb made circles on her skin, goosebumps rising where he traced, ‘Is this okay?” He whispered, eyes looking into hers.
She nodded. His fingers sliding down further until they cupped her between her legs, “What about this?”
She gaped, “Yes Harry,”
“M’kay,” Warm breath fanned down her neck.
Beneath her, Y/N could feel Harry’s hardening length. Her eyes widened, her breath hitching as she shifted slightly, the sensation unfamiliar yet thrilling. Harry’s grip on her hips tightened just a fraction, his jaw clenching as he exhaled through his nose.
“You feel that, Bambi?” he murmured, his voice thick with restraint.
She nodded, her hands clutching his shoulders, her heart hammering against her ribs. “It’s… um, it’s big,” she admitted shyly, her cheeks burning.
“Do you trust me?” Harry asked.
“Completely,” Y/N whispered with a nod. Harry didn’t hesitate, pressing a soft kiss to her lips before his hand drifted lower.
With careful precision, he hooked his fingers around the fabric of her underwear, tugging it aside. She wondered if he could feel the razor bumps from where she had tried to shave. If he did he didn’t say anything, just whispered, “Y’ the most perfect girl. How are you real?” She wasn’t sure if he was speaking to her or himself.
The moment his fingers brushed past her folds, searching for her clit, she stiffened, a sharp inhale catching in her throat. Letting out a shaky breath, her fingers gripping his shoulders as a wave of unfamiliar yet intoxicating pleasure coursed through her. Harry watched her closely, his eyes dark with focus, making sure she was comfortable.
“Relax, Bambi,” he whispered, his lips brushing against her temple as his fingers moved with deliberate care.
Y/N’s breath hitched as he found the sensitive bundle of nerves, his touch gentle yet firm. A soft whimper escaped her lips, and she instinctively pressed closer to him, seeking more.
“That’s it,” Harry murmured, his free hand stroking her thigh reassuringly. “You’re doing so good for me.”
She felt heat pool in her stomach, her body responding in ways she never imagined. “Harry,” she whimpered, barely recognizing her own voice.
His lips curled into a smirk as he pressed a kiss just below her ear. “I’ve got you, love,” he promised, his fingers working her with steady, patient movements. “You’re truly quite perfect.”
Y/N couldn’t help but smile at his words, but then her brows furrowed as a thought crept into her mind—she wanted to do something for Harry, too. This wasn’t meant to be just about her.
But as his fingers continued their slow, torturous movements, her thoughts blurred into nothingness. Her body responded instinctively, her hips rutting against his hand when he brushed a particularly sensitive spot.
Harry groaned, the sound deep and raw, sending a fresh wave of heat through her. The effect it had on her was instant—she wanted to hear it again. So she did it once more, rolling her hips into his touch.
“Y’ gonna kill me, Bambi,” he rasped, his grip on her tightening as he fought to keep control.
Harry let out a strained chuckle, his fingers tightening around her hips as he steadied her movements. His gaze was heavy-lidded, filled with something dark and reverent as he watched her.
“So damn sweet,” he murmured, his thumb tracing gentle circles on her skin. “All wide-eyed and trembling… just like a little deer.”
Y/N swallowed hard, her breath catching at his words. His comparison made her feel small, delicate—like something precious in his hands.
Harry’s breath grew heavier, his grip on her hips firm as he guided her movements, letting her find what felt good. Y/N was completely lost in the sensation—his fingers working her with precise, devastating strokes, his voice low and coaxing as he whispered sweet praises in her ear.
“That’s it, Bambi,” he murmured, his forehead resting against hers. “Let yourself feel it.”
Her body trembled, overwhelmed by the pleasure building inside her. She clung to him, fingers pulling on the curls at the nape of his neck, his head falling back as she rocked against his hand, chasing the high she had never quite reached before.
Harry was struggling himself, his jaw clenched, his breathing ragged as her movements sent jolts of pleasure straight through him. He was achingly hard beneath her, the friction almost too much, especially when she rolled her hips just right.
“Fuck,” he groaned, his fingers faltering for a moment before he doubled down, determined to push her over the edge first. “You feel so good, love—so perfect.”
His words sent her spiraling. A broken moan slipped past her lips as the tension inside her snapped, pleasure crashing over her in waves. Her body tensed, then melted, a shuddering mess in his arms as she came undone.
The sight of her—the way she trembled, the breathy whimpers falling from her lips—was Harry’s undoing. With a deep, guttural groan, he buried his face in her neck, his body shuddering as he followed right after her, lost in his own release.
For a moment, neither of them moved, both caught in the aftershocks of pleasure, their breaths mingling as they clung to each other. Y/N felt boneless, her head resting against his shoulder, her heart still hammering in her chest.
“I think I’m falling in love with you, Harry,” Y/N confessed, her voice soft in the quiet light of her room. It was the most honest thing she had ever said, the most vulnerable she had ever allowed herself to be.
Harry’s eyes shone with an emotion she couldn’t quite decipher. Maybe it was love, maybe it was more but she couldn’t quite figure out what meant more than love. Unless what she was feeling was exactly that- something more- because when she thought about loving Harry, the word seemed much too small. She wanted to be the same person, wanted to melt into his skin and never find where she ended and he began.
His fingers traced slow, soothing patterns on her back as he held her, grounding her in the moment. “Maybe it’s your first orgasm talking.” He chuckled and she playfully nudged him before laughing with him.
As her eyes fluttered shut, inhaling the scent of him—warm, familiar, safe, she heard him whisper, “I think I’m two steps ahead of you Bambi.” and her heart pounded against her chest.
Maybe love wasn’t a big enough word for what she felt, but whatever it was, it belonged to him. And she had a feeling it always would.

Professional Hazard (And Blue Tongues)
Karina x Male Reader
9k words
18+ smut
'I expected you to have...'
'Grey hair? Glasses thick as tank armor?' You lean back. 'Let me guess—ancient and decrepit?'
'Something like that.' She toys with her iced americano, ice cubes clinking.
'Get that more than you'd think.'
'Can't imagine why.'
'Sure you can't.'
She straightens in her chair. 'Well? Are you going to ask your questions or what?'
'Did you have something specific in mind?'
'I thought you'd at least come prepared.' The sharp edge in her voice softens, adapting. 'After that email you sent.'
'I am prepared.'
'Do you know who I am?'
'I know you're Karina. I know you agreed to fund my little Italian vacation.' You keep your voice flat, unimpressed.
She laughs, short and sharp. 'They really sent someone who knows nothing.'
'Biographers aren't exactly growing on trees these days. Most of them are busy dying off.' [1]
'That's comforting.'
'About as comforting as your enthusiastic response to my email.'
'Ah.' She smirks. 'My monument to hubris?'
'Your words, not mine.'
'Christ, you're not exactly sunshine and roses, are you?'
'If only you knew.'
'Oh, I think I do.' She leans forward. 'People like me—we're your bread and butter. Desperate enough to take the abuse just to get that book written.'
'Quick study.'
'Experience, darling.' She draws out the last word like stretched taffy.
'If immortality's what you're after, we're off to a rocky start.'
'Not even grateful for the Italian holiday?'
You meet her eyes. 'Bribery's nothing new. Don't expect it to polish your image.'
'Tough nut to crack, aren't you?'
'I have what I need.'
'Meaning?'
'Let me put this delicately: my last subject bought me a year at New York's finest.' [2]
'Fantastic.' She rattles her ice cubes harder.
'You know what I think?' She sets down her drink with deliberate care.
'Enlighten me.'
'I think you enjoy this. The whole "unimpressed biographer" act.'
You pull out your notebook, unhurried. 'That'd make a great chapter one. "Local girl psychoanalyzes writer, lives to regret it."'
'There it is again.' Her smile doesn't reach her eyes. 'Tell me, do your subjects usually last long enough for chapter two?'
'The interesting ones do.'
'And the boring ones?'
You flip open to a blank page. 'They get a lovely rejection letter.'
'Which I didn't.'
'Yet.'
She leans back, studying you. The late afternoon sun catches the edge of her glass, throwing prismatic shapes across the table. 'You really don't care that I could walk away right now.'
'The door's right there.' You click your pen. 'But we both know you won't.'
'Because?'
'Because you didn't spend three months negotiating with my publisher just to storm off over hurt feelings.'
'Maybe I just like wasting time.'
'Maybe.' You meet her gaze. 'But people who like wasting time don't usually have a dozen designer brand sponsorships.'
Something shifts in her expression—surprise, maybe, or respect. 'So you did do your homework.'
'I always do.' You position your pen over the blank page. 'Now, shall we begin with the real questions?'
'Shoot.' She shifts in her chair, the late afternoon sun warming the cafe corner we've claimed.
'Tell me about your sister.'
Her eyebrows lift slightly. 'Not starting with the obvious questions?'
'Would you prefer those?'
'No.' She smiles, genuine this time. 'She's a nurse. Like our mom.'
'Close?'
'Very. She's the only person who still calls me Jimin.' She stirs her americano. 'Probably the only person who can get away with it, too.'
'Why's that?'
'Because she knew me when I was just the quiet kid who'd rather read in corners than talk to anyone. Before all of...' She waves her hand vaguely. 'This.'
'Still prefer corners?'
'Sometimes.' She considers the question. 'There's this tiny bookstore in Seongnam. When I go home, I still visit. They have this perfect spot by the window.'
'What do you read?'
'Whatever catches my eye. Last week it was about sharks.'
You raise an eyebrow. 'Sharks?'
'Don't look so surprised.' She laughs. 'They're fascinating. Everyone thinks they know them, but they don't, not really.'
'Speaking from experience?'
She takes a long sip of her drink instead of answering.
'You don't have to do that, you know.' You set your pen down.
'Do what?'
'Deflect. Turn everything into a metaphor.'
She meets your eyes for a long moment. 'Force of habit.'
'Bad one.'
'Says the person who's been matching my deflections word for word.' A half-smile plays at her lips. 'We're quite the pair, aren't we?'
'Difference is, I'm paid to be difficult.'
'And I was raised to be.' The words slip out before she can catch them. Her fingers tighten around her glass.
You wait.
'You're good at this,' she says quietly.
'At what?'
'Making silence comfortable.' She looks out the window. 'Most people try to fill it.'
'Most people aren't trying to understand.'
She turns back to you, something shifting in her expression. 'Is that what you're trying to do? Understand?'
'Would that be so terrible?'
'No,' she says.
'Progress.' You pick up your pen again. 'Though I've just realized something deeply troubling.'
'What's that?'
'Your americano's been empty for ten minutes, and you're still pretending to drink it.'
She glances at her glass, caught. 'Method acting.'
'Ah yes, the classic "I'm too invested in this conversation to pause for a refill" performance.' You wave to catch the barista's eye. 'Oscar-worthy.'
'Says the person who hasn't touched their...' She leans forward to peek at your cup. 'What even is that?'
'Green tea.'
'Pretentious.'
'Says the person who ordered an iced americano in winter.'
'It's barely spring.'
'Case in point.'
The barista arrives with fresh drinks. Karina raises an eyebrow at your cup. 'Still green tea?'
'I'm consistent.'
'Boring.'
'Strategic.' You take a deliberate sip. 'Can't blame caffeine jitters for whatever honesty slips out.'
'Sneaky.'
'Professional.'
'Same thing.' She stirs her new drink, ice cubes clinking. 'So what's next in your strategic interrogation?'
'Thought we agreed to drop the deflection thing.'
'Old habits. Ten seconds at a time.'
'That's oddly specific.'
'It's how I learned to swim.' At your questioning look, she continues, 'Ten seconds of courage. Then you can panic all you want.'
'Does that work?'
'Got me here, didn't it?' She gestures between you two. 'Letting a stranger with a notebook and suspiciously consistent beverage choices pick apart my life.'
'You could always run.'
'To where? Croatia?' She laughs at your surprised expression. 'What? I have dreams.'
'Of Croatia specifically?'
'Of anywhere that doesn't know my name.'
'That's rather poetic for someone who just called me pretentious.'
'I contain multitudes.' She mock-bows in her seat.
'Walt Whitman now?'
'See? You're not the only one who can be insufferably well-read.'
You make a show of writing something down.
You flip to a fresh page. 'Tell me about Croatia.'
'Nothing to tell. Just a place.'
'There are plenty of places that don't know your name. Why that one?'
She traces the rim of her glass again, a habit you've started to recognize as her thinking gesture. 'Have you ever seen those old coastal towns? The ones with narrow streets and buildings that look like they're having conversations with each other?'
'Been to a few.'
'I want to get lost in one.' She looks up. 'Properly lost. No GPS, no itinerary. Just... walking until my feet decide to stop.'
'Most people want to be found.'
'Most people haven't spent years being findable.' The sharpness in her voice surprises both of you. She softens it with a smile. 'Sorry. That sounded more dramatic than intended.'
'Don't apologize. It's the first time you've stopped performing since we sat down.'
'I haven't been—' She stops. Laughs. 'Okay. Point taken.'
'Progress. Again.'
'You're keeping score?'
'Always.' You tap your notebook. 'It's kind of the whole point.'
'And how am I doing?'
'In being honest or deflecting?'
'Both.'
'You're averaging about fifty-fifty.'
'Generous scoring.'
'Strategic encouragement.'
'You're good at that.' She stretches slightly. 'Making people think they're in control of the conversation.'
'Are you not?'
'Please. We both know you've been steering this ship since you sat down.' She pauses. 'Though I will say, you're the first interviewer who hasn't asked about my routine yet.'
'Your routine?'
'You know. "What time do you wake up? What's your skincare regimen? How many hours do you practice?" That whole song and dance.'
'Would you like me to ask?'
'God no.' She grins. 'But I'm curious why you haven't.'
'Because routines are what people do. I'm more interested in who they are.'
'And who am I?'
'Still figuring that out. But I know you crack your knuckles when you're nervous.'
She stops mid-crack, caught. 'Observant.'
'Professional hazard.' You lean forward. 'Tell me something real. Not about routines or schedules or practices.'
'Like what?'
'Like what you think about at three AM when you can't sleep.'
She's quiet for a long moment. 'Sometimes I forget what my natural speaking voice sounds like.'
'What do you mean?'
'You spend so many years modulating everything—your voice, your laugh, your reactions—until one day...' She shrugs. 'One day you catch yourself using your "public" voice to order coffee at 3 AM in an empty convenience store, and you realize you can't remember what you used to sound like.'
'And that bothers you.'
'Wouldn't it bother you? Losing something that fundamental without even noticing it was gone?'
'Is that why we're here? Trying to find it again?'
'Maybe.' She smiles, but it's different now. Unpolished. 'Or maybe I'm just tired of having "public" and "private" versions of everything.'
'Including your voice.'
'Including my entire existence.'
'Right.' You snap your notebook shut. 'We're getting gelato.'
—
[1] The suspicious rate at which biographers are "dying off" has become something of an industry joke. Three prominent biographers mysteriously retired after attempting to write about a certain K-pop company's CEO. Totally not suspicious.
[2] The Plaza Hotel, to be specific. Said subject was a tech billionaire whose autobiography mysteriously never made it to print. The hotel suite, however, maintains legendary status among New York's housekeeping staff for its impressive collection of empty green tea bottles and rejection letters.
—
She blinks. 'What?'
'We're walking.' You stand, gathering your things. 'Unless you have somewhere to be?'
'Are you actually asking, or is this another strategic move?'
'Both. Neither. Whatever. Does it matter if there's gelato involved?'
A genuine laugh escapes her. 'Fair point.'
The early evening air hits your faces as you step outside. She pulls on a cap—more habit than disguise.
'Left or right?' you ask.
'You're the one who lives here.'
'Technically, I've been here three days.'
'And you already know where to get gelato?'
'First thing I do in any city. Professional secret.'
'Ah yes, the biographer's handbook. Chapter One: locate ice cream immediately.'
'Chapter Two: never reveal your sources.' You turn left. 'Unless they're wearing a questionably large cap and hiding from their own voice.'
'Low blow.' But she's grinning. 'Also, my cap is perfectly sized.'
'For what? Smuggling library books?'
'That's... oddly specific.'
'Says the person who just quoted Walt Whitman in a cafe.'
You find the gelato place tucked between a bookstore and a vintage shop. The owner, an elderly Italian woman, lights up at your approach.
'Due?' she asks.
'Sì,' you reply, then turn to Karina. 'What's your poison?'
She studies the flavors intently. 'What's the most unusual one?'
'Professional or personal answer?'
'There's a difference?'
'Professional would be something elegant. Personal...' You point to a vivid blue flavor. 'That one tastes like your childhood imaginary friend made a pact with a Smurf.'
She doesn't hesitate. 'Two scoops of that, please.'
'Really?'
'What?' She raises an eyebrow. 'Scared of a little blue tongue?'
'More scared of what my editor will say when the interview notes are stained cerulean.'
Ten minutes later, you're both leaning against a stone wall, gelato dripping in the warm evening air. Her tongue is, indeed, impressively blue.
'Yah! Why are you taking a picture?”
'Your tongue. I need photographic evidence for my editor.'
She complains, ‘self-respecting people would’ve walked a long time ago.’
‘And let me guess-’
‘Correct. Take a picture if you want.’
'Pulitzer worthy.' You take another bite of your considerably more dignified pistachio. 'So tell me about the sharks.'
'You're still on that?'
'You brought up marine biology in a cafe and then mysteriously changed the subject. I'm invested now.'
'There's nothing mysterious about it.' She licks a drop of blue from her knuckle. 'I just think they're neat.'
'That's the worst deflection yet.'
'Fine.' She pushes off the wall, starting to walk. 'When I was younger, I used to think they were lonely.'
You fall into step beside her. 'Sharks?'
'Mm. Always swimming, never stopping. Everyone afraid of them.' She shrugs. 'Stupid kid logic.'
'And now?'
'Now I think they're just... misunderstood.' She grins. 'That was terrible, wasn't it? Like a bad movie line.'
'Terrible. But honest.'
'You and your honesty fetish.'
'Says the person who just admitted to emotionally relating to sharks.'
She snorts, nearly dropping her cone. 'When you put it that way—'
'Oh, I'm definitely putting it that way. It's going in the book.'
'Absolutely not.'
'Chapter title: "The Shark Whisperer”. I can see it already'
She tries to hip-check you, but you dodge, protecting your gelato. 'I'm revoking your creative license.'
'Too late. The mental image of baby Jimin crying over shark documentaries is seared into my brain.'
'I did not cry over—' She stops. 'Okay, maybe once. But it was a very sad documentary.' [1]
The sun is setting now, painting the cobblestones gold. You pass a street musician playing something soft and acoustic.
'Your sister know about the sharks?'
'Of course. She bought me the books.' Her smile turns fond. 'Still does, actually. Sends them to me randomly.'
'Recent ones?'
'Last week.' She finishes her cone. 'She has... interesting timing.'
'Interesting timing?'
'Mm.' She wipes her hands on a napkin. 'Right after I told her about the interview. She sent me one about great whites. Said something about facing fears.'
'Subtle.'
'About as subtle as your interview techniques.' She eyes your notebook, still tucked away. 'Not writing anymore?'
'Memory's better when I'm walking.' You tap your temple. 'Also, harder to write about blue tongues while walking.'
'Still blue?'
'Devastatingly so.'
She sticks her tongue out at a passing window, checking her reflection. 'Oh god, it's worse than I thought.'
'Crisis?'
'Please. I once had to perform with my hair half-green because of a dye mishap. This?' She gestures to her mouth. 'This is nothing.'
'Half-green?'
'Not going in the book.'
'Already mentally drafting the chapter.'
She groans. 'I'm starting to regret this whole walking thing.'
'Because of the blackmail material or the exercise?'
'Both. Neither.' She pauses by a small fountain. 'It's just... nice.'
'Nice?'
'Yeah.' She sits on the fountain's edge. 'No schedule. No plan. Just... walking and talking and eating questionably colored gelato with a stranger who probably thinks I'm having a quarter-life crisis.'
'Are you?'
'Having a crisis or eating gelato?'
'Now who's deflecting?'
And she pauses again, caught.
She dips her fingers in the fountain water, watching the ripples. 'Maybe I just wanted one normal evening. One conversation that wasn't prepackaged and pre-approved.'
'Mission accomplished, I'd say. Your tongue is literally blue.'
That startles a laugh out of her. 'You're never letting that go, are you?'
'It's going to be a running metaphor throughout the book. Deep, meaningful parallels between blue gelato and the human condition.'
'You're terrible at your job.'
'I'm excellent at my job. I got you to walk around Rome with blue teeth.'
'Is that the measure of success?'
'For this chapter? Absolutely.'
The street lamps are starting to flicker on, and the air has that peculiar Roman evening warmth that begs for a drink.
'Know any good bars?' she asks, as if reading your mind.
'Thought you'd never ask[2]. Fair warning though—my Italian's terrible.'
'Better or worse than your interview skills?'
'Much worse. But I can order Aperol Spritz in seventeen different ways.'
'Useful life skill.'
'More useful than relating to sharks.'
She shoves your shoulder lightly. 'One more shark joke and I'm leaving.'
'No, you're not.'
'No, I'm not.' She grins. 'Lead the way, worst Italian speaker.'
You find a tiny place tucked away from the main streets. The kind tourists don't know about, with mismatched chairs and a bartender who looks old enough to have served Caesar himself.
'Due aperol spritz, per favore.' You ask.
The bartender raises an eyebrow. 'Americano? Il tuo italiano è buono!' (your Italian was… apparently… good.)
'Peggio,' you say. 'Giornalista'
(‘Worse. Journalist.’)
He laughs, already reaching for glasses. Karina slides onto a barstool, looking around with genuine curiosity.
‘He seems pretty impressed by your Italian.’
‘Oh trust me—he wasn’t. He just wanted to be nice. That’s all. The inflections are quite easy to catch.’
‘Alright, whatever you say. Giornalista—.'
You grin at her cute prod.
'How'd you find this place?' She asks; needless to say, she likes it here.
'Got lost my first night here––five years ago. It was either come in or keep pretending I knew where my hotel was.'
'And?'
'Woke up knowing exactly where my hotel was. And how to say "I'm sorry" in Italian.'
She laughs. 'That bad?'
'Let's just say there's a reason I stick to green tea now.'
The drinks arrive, vivid orange against the dark wood of the bar.
'To blue tongues,' you raise your glass.
'And bad Italian,' she clinks hers against it.
—
[1] The documentary in question was "Blue Planet II." Her sister still has the receipt for three boxes of tissues and a plush shark from the aquarium gift shop. The plush shark now sits in her studio, wearing a tiny version of her debut outfit. Her company has tried to mass-produce it twice. She's vetoed it both times.
[2] You were never this humble about your Italian until you talked to an Italian nonna. "Qui giace la dignità di un giornalista" (Here lies a journalist's dignity).
—
'Speaking of bad decisions—'
'We weren't.'
'We are now. Tell me about the green hair incident.'
'Absolutely not.' She takes another sip of her spritz. 'Some secrets I'm taking to my grave.'
'Come on. Half-green hair? There's got to be a story there.'
'There is. A great one. You're still not hearing it.'
'I'll trade you.'
'Oh?' She turns on her stool to face you fully. 'What could you possibly have that's worth my green hair story?'
'Remember when I said I learned to say sorry in Italian?'
'The plot thickens.'
'Let's just say it involved a fountain, three angry nuns, and a very patient carabinieri.'
She nearly chokes on her drink. 'You're making that up.'
'Want to bet your green hair story on it?'
'You know what?' She signals the bartender for another round. 'Fine. But if you're lying, you're buying drinks for the rest of the night.'
'Deal.'
'And no taking notes.'
'Now that's just cruel.'
'Professional hazard,' she mimics your earlier tone, then grins. 'Okay, storyteller. Dazzle me.'
The bartender sets down fresh drinks, and you lean in conspiratorially. 'So picture this: my first night in Rome, about five years ago...'
'Wait.' She holds up a hand. 'We need to establish stakes. If this story doesn't involve all three elements—fountain, nuns, and police—you're not only buying drinks, you're telling me where you actually learned to say sorry in Italian.'
'Counter-offer. If my story checks out, I get the green hair story plus whatever happened at that music show in Busan.'
Her eyes narrow. 'What music show in Busan?'
'The one you just reacted to.'
'That's... that's actually impressive.'
'Five years of professional nosiness at work. Deal?'
She clinks her glass against yours. 'Deal. Now stop stalling.'
'Right. So. Five years ago. I'd just finished an interview with this ancient countess at the bar. I mean, it’s the bar. Who else gets to interview a countess at a bar? That’s like crazy Bourdain-level shit right there.’
She nods along. 'Of course you did.'
'Anyway, she invited me to this wine cellar...'
'Oh no.'
'Oh yes. And mind you, I was already quite drunk. And she was very, very insistent about hospitality...'
Twenty minutes and much laughter later, you finish: '...and that's why you should never trust Google Translate to help you apologize to Italian law enforcement.'
She's wiping tears from her eyes. 'The part with the cat—'
'Hand to god. Still have the scars.'
'Okay.' She catches her breath. 'Okay, you win. That was worth it.'
'Time to pay up. Green hair. Spill.'
'Can I have one more drink first?'
'For courage?'
'So I can blame it on the drink.' She waves at the bartender. 'I still can't believe you showed those nuns your interview notes to prove you weren't a street performer.'
'Desperate times.'
'Speaking of desperate...' She takes a fortifying sip of her fresh spritz. 'Ever tried to fix green hair with grape juice?'
'No.'
'Don't.'
'There has to be more to this story than grape juice.'
'Oh, there's so much more.' She settles into her seat. 'Picture this: it's two hours before a live broadcast. I'm sitting in the makeup chair, feeling pretty good about life. You know, like that particular moment where your face just… shines. Then my stylist walks in, takes one look at my hair, and just... screams.'
'Screams?'
'Full horror movie scream. Turns out the hair dye we used was... let's say "not exactly approved by management."'
'Let me guess. DIY job?'
'Worse. My sister's friend's cousin who "totally went to beauty school."'
'Oh no.' You snort, taking a hefty drink of the remaining spritz.
'Oh yes. So there I am, one side of my head this bizarre shade of swamp-thing green, and everyone's running around like it's the end of the world.'
'Which is when someone suggested grape juice?'
'Actually, that was my idea.' She grimaces. 'I'd read somewhere that grape juice could neutralize green tones. What they failed to mention was that this works for swimming pools, not hair.' [1]
'So what happened?'
'Picture a very expensive wig, three cans of dry shampoo, and me trying to explain to the camera director why I couldn't turn my head to the left.'
'Did it work?'
'Define "work."' She takes another sip. 'If by "work" you mean "did I make it through the broadcast without anyone seeing the grape-juice-tinged disaster," then yes. If by "work" you mean "did I maintain any dignity," then absolutely not.'
'The fans never found out?'
'Oh, they did. Someone leaked a backstage photo three months later.' She grins. 'By then I'd managed to fix it. Mostly.'
'Mostly?'
'My sister still has a strand of green hair she saved. Threatens to post it whenever I don't answer her calls.'
'Effective.'
'Terrifying.' She raises her glass. 'Your turn again. What's the worst interview you've ever done?'
'Besides this one?'
She kicks your chair. 'I'm delightful and you know it.'
'You're something, all right.'
Three drinks in, and the bar's emptied enough that her laugh echoes a little too loudly. She covers her mouth, but it's too late – the old bartender shoots them an amused look.
'Sorry,' she stage-whispers.
'For what? The laugh or the fact that it just shattered three ancient Roman wine glasses?'
'Shut up.' She kicks your chair again. 'I don't always laugh like that.'
'Let me guess – there's a public laugh and a private laugh?'
'There's a whole taxonomy.' She sits up straighter, counting on her fingers. 'Interview laugh, variety show laugh, fan meeting laugh, oh-that's-not-actually-funny-but-you're-my-sunbae laugh—'
'Please tell me you're joking.'
'I wish.' She slumps forward, head on her arms. 'I once had to attend a laughing seminar.'
'A what now?'
'A laughing seminar. Professional instruction on the art of the public giggle.' Her voice is muffled against her sleeve. 'There was a PowerPoint and everything.'
'You're making this up.'
She lifts her head. 'I spent three hours learning about laugh-adjacent breathing techniques while a woman named Mrs. Kim hit a triangle every time someone laughed "inappropriately."'
You stare at her. She stares back.
'That's the most horrifying thing I've ever heard,' you say finally.
'I know.' She dissolves into another too-loud laugh, this one definitely not seminar-approved. 'God, I can still hear that triangle.'
'Is that why you're here?'
'Getting drunk with a biographer in Rome? No, that's just poor life choices.'
'Speaking honest truths to a stranger?'
'Oh.' She straightens up, but there's still something loose in her smile. 'Maybe. Or maybe I just really needed to tell someone about Mrs. Kim and her triangle of terror.'
'Triangle of terror.' You shake your head. 'That's going in the book.'
'Along with the blue tongue and green hair? You're really painting a picture here.'
'It's called character development.'
'It's called character assassination.' She signals for water. 'What else are you putting in there?'
'Wouldn't you like to know.'
'Actually, yes. That's literally why I'm asking.'
'Fine.' You pretend to flip through your mental notes. 'Chapter One: Sharks and Empathy—'
'Oh my god.'
'Chapter Two: The Grape Juice Incident—'
'I'm starting to regret everything.'
'Chapter Three: Laugh Taxonomies by Aespa’s Karina—'
'I hate you.'
'Chapter Four: Why Romans Don't Trust Her With Fountains Anymore—'
'That was you! That was literally your story!'
'Was it? Everything's getting a bit fuzzy.' You tap your temple. 'Must be all that professional memory I was bragging about earlier.'
She throws an olive at you. The bartender clears his throat.
'Sorry,' you both say in unison, then look at each other and start laughing again.
'You know what's really funny?' she says, once you've both contained yourselves.
'Mrs. Kim's triangle?'
'Besides that.' She accepts the water from the bartender. 'This is probably the worst interview you've ever done.'
'Oh, definitely.'
'And yet...'
'And yet?'
'It's the most honest one I've given.' She pauses. 'God, that sounded way less cheesy in my head. Must be the spritz talking.'
'Blame it on the altitude.'
'We're at sea level.'
'Blame it on the sea level.'
'You're ridiculous.' She's grinning though. 'Is this how all your interviews go?'
'Usually there's less gelato. More gravitas.'
'Gravitas is overrated.'
'Says the woman who attended a laughing seminar.'
'Hey, I'll have you know my triangle-approved giggle is very dignified.'
'Prove it.'
She sits up straighter, arranges her features into something serene, and lets out the most artificial laugh you've ever heard. It's so pristine it's almost disturbing.
'That was horrifying.'
'That was three hours of professional training.'
'I'm concerned about your profession.'
'Join the club.' She relaxes back into her natural posture. 'We have meetings every Tuesday. Bring your own triangle.'
The bartender slides over the check with a knowing look. Last call came and went without either of you noticing.
'Well,' you say, reaching for your wallet. 'I suppose this is—'
'Wait.' She puts her hand on your arm. 'I have a confession.'
'Another one? The green hair wasn't enough?'
'I read your book.'
'Which one?'
'The one about the ballet dancer who quit to become a motorcycle mechanic.'
'Ah.' You sit back. 'And?'
'And I maybe, possibly, completely changed my mind about this whole interview when I read it.'
'Because?'
'Because...' She fidgets with her empty glass. 'You made her sound so... human.'
'As opposed to?'
'A story. A headline.' She traces a pattern on the bar top. 'Most people would've written about the scandal, the career she "threw away." But you wrote about how she names each motorcycle she fixes. How she still dances in her garage at midnight.'
'Ah. That.'
'That.' She looks up. 'Is that why you haven't asked me about any of it?'
'Any of what?'
'Don't play dumb. The headlines. The speculation. The—'
'The triangle-approved responses you've probably rehearsed?'
She laughs, caught. 'Something like that.'
'Here's the thing about headlines.' You start gathering your things. 'They're usually more interesting than the truth.'
'And what's the truth?'
'That sometimes people just want to eat blue gelato and tell embarrassing stories in a bar and talk a biographer’s ears off.'
She kicks your chair again, barely noticeable. 'Even if those stories end up in a book?'
'Especially then.' You stand, offering her jacket. 'Though I might need you to sign a waiver about the grape juice incident.'
'I knew it! You are using it!'
'Chapter title: "The Perils of Amateur Chemistry: A Cautionary Tale."'
She shrugs on her jacket, shaking her head. 'You're impossible. That AI flair was so intentional'
'Says the woman who legitimately attended a laughing seminar.'
'I'm never living that down, am I?'
'Not as long as I have a functioning memory and a publishing contract.'
The Roman night is warm as you both step out of the bar. She stumbles slightly on the cobblestones.
You offer a hand which she quickly grabs.
'Don't you dare put that in the book,' she warns.
'Put what? The graceful interpretation of contemporary dance you just performed?'
'These streets are rigged.' She steadies herself. 'Also, your hotel's this way.'
'How do you know where my hotel is?' You’re not exactly one to remember locations, probably the reason you were able to gain such a repository of ridiculous stories.
'Because it's my hotel.' She grins at your expression. 'What? You think you're the only one who does research?'
'I'm concerned about your stalking tendencies.'
'Says the person who somehow knew about the Busan incident.'
'Professional hazard.'
'You really need new catchphrases.'
The walk is quiet, comfortable. Rome at night feels like a different city—all golden lights and shadow play. A cat watches you pass from its perch on a window sill.
'Don't even think about it,' she says.
'About what?'
'Making some poetic comparison between me and that cat.'
'Please. I'm a much better writer than that.'
'Sure you are, shark whisperer.'
You reach the hotel entrance. She pauses.
'Well,' she says. 'This has been...'
'Professionally catastrophic?'
'I was going to say enlightening.'
'That too.'
The hotel lobby is all marble and soft lighting. Your footsteps echo slightly.
'I have a balcony,' she says suddenly. 'And a really pretentious coffee machine I can't figure out.'
'Is this a cry for help with appliances?'
'This is...' She fidgets with her room key. 'This is me not wanting the interview to end yet.'
'The interview ended somewhere between blue gelato and the triangle story.'
'Then what's this?'
‘Believe or not, some people just like having fun on their Italian vacation.’
‘Haha. Very funny.’
'This is...' You pretend to consider. 'Two people who might be friends if one of them wasn't writing a book about the other.'
'Complicated.'
'Professional hazard.'
'There's that phrase again.' She presses the elevator button. 'Come on. I'll teach you how to laugh properly.'
'With or without the triangle?'
She steps into the elevator. 'Depends on how good you are at making coffee.'
'Now who's the impossible one?'
The doors start to close. She holds them.
'Coming?'
You join her in the elevator. 'For the record, I'm excellent at coffee.'
'For the record,' she mimics your tone, 'that's going in the book.'
Her room is on the top floor, with a view that makes you understand why people write poetry about Rome.
'So,' she says, fighting with the coffee machine. 'This button makes it angry, and this one makes it hiss.'
'Move over, amateur.' You reach around her to press a combination of buttons. The machine purrs to life.
'Show off.' But she's smiling as she heads for the balcony. 'Bring your coffee wizardry out here when it's ready.'
The balcony is small, just enough room for two chairs and all of Rome spread out below. She's curled up in one chair, shoes off, looking more real than she has all day.
'Your professional opinion,' she says as you hand her a cup. 'Is this going to be a good book?'
'Depends.'
'On?'
'On whether you let me keep the shark metaphors.'
She laughs into her coffee. 'You're never letting that go.'
'Never.' You take the other chair. 'Though I might be willing to negotiate.'
'Terms?'
'Tell me something nobody knows. Something that won't make the book.'
She's quiet for a moment, looking out at the city lights. 'I sing in the shower.'
'Everybody knows that.'
'No, I mean...' She turns to face you. 'I sing the old songs. The ones I used to practice when I was just some kid in Bundang with a dream too big for my voice.'
'And?'
'And sometimes I still feel like her. That kid. Especially at night, in foreign hotels, when the city feels like it belongs to someone else.'
'Especially at night, in foreign hotels, when the city feels like it belongs to someone else.'
'Wow.' You let out a low whistle. 'That was incredibly profound.'
She groans, covering her face. 'I know. I'm sorry. That was straight out of a drama script.'
'I was thinking more indie movie. You know, the kind where people have deep conversations on balconies in Rome at—' you check your watch, '—one in the morning.'
'Oh god, we're living a cliché.'
'Complete with coffee and two chairs overlooking Rome.'
'Quick,' she straightens up, 'say something unprofound. Save us from ourselves.'
'My tongue is still kind of blue.'
She peeks at you over her coffee cup. 'Mine too.'
'Better?'
'Much better.' She slouches back in her chair. 'Though now I'm thinking about how this would look in your book. "Two idiots with blue tongues have existential crisis on expensive balcony."'
'Don't forget the part where one of them somehow charmed a coffee machine.'
'And the other one used to sing in her shower.'
'Still,' you correct. 'Present tense.'
'Still,' she admits. 'But if you put that in your book, I'll have to tell everyone about your fountain incident.'
'Mutually assured destruction. I like it.'
She yawns, then looks embarrassed. 'Sorry. It's not the company, it's—'
'The five Aperol Spritzes?'
'That. And the emotional toll of remembering Mrs. Kim's triangle.'
'Tragic backstory,' you nod solemnly. 'Very character-building.'
'Speaking of character-building...' She sets down her empty cup, turns to face you fully. 'This is usually the part in your books where something significant happens.'
'Is it?'
'Mm. Chapter twelve. Always a turning point.'
'You really did read my books.'
'I told you that already.' She's closer now, somehow. 'What I didn't mention was that I figured out your pattern.'
'My pattern?'
'The way you write moments like this.' Her voice is soft. 'When everything gets quiet, and the city's just background noise, and someone's about to do something...'
'Inadvisable?'
'I was going to say brave.'
'Brave is just inadvisable with better PR.'
She laughs, barely a whisper. 'You're deflecting again.'
'Professional—'
'If you say "hazard" right now,' she cuts in, 'I'm going to throw you off this balcony.'
'That would be...'
'Inadvisable?'
'I was going to say "terrible for my book sales."'
She's definitely closer now. 'Your book sales are about to be the least of your problems.'
'Because you're going to kiss me or throw me off the balcony?'
'I haven't decided yet.'
'Well,' you murmur, 'for what it's worth, one of those options would make a much better chapter twelve.'
She closes the distance between you, smiling against your lips. 'Professional hazard.'
You and Karina shared an instant spark that neither of you had experienced. Ever. The moment that first tease left your mouth, it was over.
—
[1] The sentiment of grape juice being able to eliminate green tones turned out to be completely unfounded. Despite this, wine sommeliers around the world have complained about Koreans with their distinct accent asking about grape juice’s ability to change colors.
—
The kiss tastes like coffee and Aperol and something sweet—probably the remnants of that ridiculous blue gelato. It's soft and quiet and perfect, the kind of moment that would sound made up in a book.
She pulls back slightly. 'Your editor's going to hate this.'
'Definitely.' You tuck a strand of hair behind her ear. 'Completely unprofessional.'
'Thoroughly inadvisable.'
'Absolutely perfect for chapter twelve.'
She kisses you again, and Rome keeps existing below, indifferent to your small moment of magic. Somewhere in the distance, a church bell chimes twice.
'You know,' she whispers, 'this is usually where you'd write something profound about the city of love.'
'That's Paris.'
'Now who's deflecting?'
'Still you. But I'm starting not to mind.'
She laughs, soft and real—definitely not triangle-approved—and rests her forehead against yours, your breaths intermixing, plenty of intimate eye contact. 'Is this going in the book?'
'What do you think?'
'I think...' Her fingers find yours. 'I think some stories we get to keep for ourselves.'
'I think some stories we get to keep for ourselves.'
'Even after I charmed your coffee machine? That's cold.'
She makes a face. 'You're really bringing up coffee machine prowess right after—'
'Right after you thoroughly compromised my journalistic integrity? Yes.'
'Your journalistic integrity was compromised the moment you let me eat blue gelato.'
'My journalistic integrity was compromised the moment I saw you.' You run your thumb across her knuckles.
Her eye contact wavers and her voice falters, ‘Gosh, you’re such a player.’
‘Flirting has never come so easily before.’ You whisper against her mouth.
'Oh really?'
'Obviously.'
'Which was?'
'Stare at that blue tongue some more.’'
She shoves you lightly. 'You're terrible.'
'And yet.'
'And yet.' She settles on your lap, the forehead to forehead more natural now. 'So what happens now?'
'Well, traditionally, this is where I'd write something about dawn breaking over the eternal city—'
'Please don't.'
'—with golden light catching on ancient stones—'
'I'm begging you to stop.'
'—as two souls find each other under the Roman sky—'
She claps a hand over your mouth. 'I will literally pay you to not finish that sentence.'
You kiss her palm before she pulls it away. 'Isn't that technically bribery?'
'Add it to the list. Right after "compromised journalistic integrity" and "suspicious coffee machine expertise."'
'Speaking of compromising situations...' You glance at your watch. 'It's almost three AM.'
'Worried about your reputation?'
'Worried about your triangle-approved schedule.'
'Bold of you to assume I ever sleep.' She stands, stretching. 'Want to order terrible room service and you can tell me about all the other journalists you've scandalized?'
'That's a very short list. Very enticing regardless.’
'Good.' She holds out her hand.
The night air has turned cooler, carrying the faint scent of jasmine from somewhere below. Her fingers trace the collar of your shirt, hesitant but deliberate.
'What happened to room service?' you murmur.
'It can wait.' Her eyes meet yours, playful but wanting. 'I'm conducting my own interview first.'
This kiss is different from the first. Slower, more certain. The city hums below, a distant lullaby of late-night cars and echoing footsteps. When she sighs into the kiss, it's the softest sound you've ever heard. When she falters against your forceful touches, it’s the softest you’ve ever felt a woman.
She pulls back just enough to breathe, her forehead resting against yours. Her heartbeat is quick under your palm.
'Better than chapter twelve?' she whispers.
You catch her lips again in answer, feeling her smile. The wind stirs her hair, sending strands brushing against your cheek. Everything smells like jasmine and coffee and her perfume—something subtle and expensive that you'll probably spend the rest of your life over-romanticizing.
Because that’s what Karina deserves.
Rome stretches out endless and ancient around you, but all you can focus on is how perfectly she fits against you, how real she feels away from cameras and crowds.
Your lips find hers in the dark, soft and certain now. Her fingers trail up your neck, threading through your hair, pulling you closer. There's an art to the way she kisses—deliberate yet desperate, like she's trying to memorize the moment. Your hands settle at her waist, and she makes a small sound that you know you'll remember forever.
Her lips part against yours, deepening the kiss until you're both breathless. The balcony railing presses into your back—when did that happen?—and her body is warm against yours, fitting perfectly in all the spaces between.
Her teeth graze your bottom lip, teasing. You respond by trailing kisses along her jaw, feeling her pulse jump under your lips. When you find that sensitive spot just below her ear, her sharp intake of breath makes you smile against her skin.
She pulls back just enough to meet your eyes. Her lips are slightly swollen, her careful composure beautifully undone––hair spread everywhere, but just so that she looks ethereal rather than messy. You brush your thumb across her lower lip, and she catches it with her teeth, playful even now.
‘Still planning to put this in chapter twelve?’ she whispers, breathless.
Your answer gets lost somewhere between her lips and… her lips.
Her laugh vibrates against your lips when you finally break apart. ‘We should probably—’
‘Go inside?’ Your lips find the curve of her neck again.
‘I was going to say breathe.’ But her head tilts back, giving you better access. Her pulse flutters under your kiss like a trapped bird. ‘Though inside works too.’
You pull back just enough to look at her. Hair mussed, eyes bright, that perfect composure completely undone. She's never looked more beautiful than she does right now, with the city lights catching in her eyes and her professional smile nowhere to be found.
‘What?’ she asks, suddenly self-conscious.
‘Just thinking.’
‘About?’
‘How this definitely isn't going in the book.’
Her smile turns mischievous. ‘No?’ Her fingers trace patterns on your chest. ‘Not even a little mention of how you completely forgot about journalistic integrity the moment I—’
‘Then chapter 12 would entirely consist of me betraying my profession in order to catch your lips with my teeth.’
‘Wow. You’re bad. Like, real bad.’
‘You have no idea.’
You cut her off with another kiss, swallowing her laugh. Her hands slide up your chest, around your neck, pulling you impossibly closer. The world narrows to just this: her lips on yours, her body pressed against you, the soft sounds she makes when you run your fingers down her spine.
‘Inside,’ she murmurs against your mouth. ‘Before we really give Rome something to talk about.’
You let her lead you through the balcony doors, both of you stumbling slightly, unwilling to break contact. She tastes like promises now, like stories yet to be written. Her hands are everywhere—your hair, your chest, your face – like she's trying to read you by touch alone.
‘Wait,’ you manage, as her lips find that spot below your ear that makes thinking difficult. ‘What about—’
‘If you mention room service right now,’ she warns, ‘I'm going back to my original plan of throwing you off the balcony.’
‘I was going to say 'what about your triangle-approved image?'’
She pulls back, eyes dancing. ‘Oh, that?’ Her lips brush yours, teasing. ‘I think we thoroughly compromised that at the first meeting.’
"Professional hazard?"
"Shut up," she whispers, and kisses you again.
She sighs into your mouth, a soft, vulnerable sound that makes your heart stutter.
Her fingers tangle in your hair, nails scraping lightly against your scalp, sending shivers down your spine. You walk her backward until she's pressed against the wall, her body arching into yours.
You trail kisses down her neck, learning her— the spot beneath her jaw that makes her gasp, the curve where neck meets shoulder that makes her fingers tighten in your hair. Her pulse races under your lips, a rapid drumbeat that matches your own. When you find a particularly sensitive spot, her sharp intake of breath is the sweetest sound you've ever heard.
She tugs you back up to her mouth, kissing you like she's trying to tell you something words can't capture. Her lips are soft but insistent, moving against yours with a rhythm that makes you dizzy. One of her legs hooks around yours, pulling you even closer, and you groan into her mouth.
Her hands frame your face now, thumbs stroking your cheeks as she kisses you deeper, slower, like she's trying to memorize every second. You respond in kind, pouring everything you can't say into the kiss—how beautiful she is like this, how real, how perfectly she fits against you.
When you finally break apart, you're both breathing hard. Her lips are swollen. You rest your forehead against hers, sharing the same air, neither of you willing to move away.
"Still thinking about the book?" she murmurs, voice husky.
You answer by catching her lower lip between your teeth, gentle but playful, and feel her smile against your mouth.
Her smile against your mouth turns into a soft laugh. "I'll take that as a no."
‘Take it as whatever you want.’ Your lips find her temple, her cheek, the corner of her mouth. ‘I stopped thinking about the book long ago.’
She hums contentedly, her fingers tracing patterns on the nape of your neck. ‘Good.’ Her other hand is still tangled in your shirt, keeping you close. ‘Because I have a confession.’
‘Another one?’
Instead of answering, she kisses you again, slow and deep. Her tongue traces your lower lip, and you respond by pressing her further into the wall, swallowing the small sound she makes. One of her legs is still hooked around yours, and when she shifts slightly, the new angle makes you both gasp.
‘That wasn't a confession,’ you murmur against her lips.
‘No?’ Her teeth graze your earlobe. ‘I thought I was being pretty clear.’
Your hands slide to her waist, steadying her. She's intoxicating like this, all careful control abandoned, her public persona nowhere to be found.
‘Jimin,’ you breathe, and feel her shiver at the sound of her real name.
Her response is to pull you closer, kissing you like she's trying to say everything without words. Her lips are soft but certain against yours, and you lose yourself in the feeling—the warmth of her body, the subtle scent of her perfume.
The city continues its nighttime symphony outside, but in here, the only sound is your shared breathing and the soft, desperate noises she makes when you find that sensitive spot on her neck again.
She pulls back slightly, just enough to meet your eyes. In the dim light, her gaze is soft, unguarded. Her thumb traces your lower lip.
‘What?’ you ask, voice rough.
‘I'm trying to decide something.’
"Whether to throw me off the balcony? Because I thought we moved past—"
She cuts you off with another kiss. Her hands cup your face, holding you there as she explores your mouth with a thoroughness that makes you dizzy. You respond by feeling her firm and perky ass.
‘No—,’ she moans when you break apart for air. ‘I'm trying to decide if this is real.’
Instead of answering, you trail kisses down her neck, feeling her pulse jump under your lips. Her head falls back against the wall, giving you better access. When you reach her collarbone, she makes a sound that's half-sigh, half-moan.
‘Feels real enough,’ you murmur against her skin.
Her laugh is breathy, unsteady. ‘I meant—’ She gasps as you find a particularly sensitive spot. ‘I meant this. Us. This whole night.’
You lift your head to look at her. Her lips are swollen from kissing, her carefully styled hair a mess from your fingers. She's never looked more beautiful.
‘If you think I did all of this for the fun of it, you’re clearly missing something.’
‘A gear in the head?’
‘Definitely—’
‘Gosh, how do I allow this sort of petulance?’
‘Because it’s me.’
‘You’re a player.’
‘Only for you.’ You catch her lips, even more wanting—and she forfeits it all.
You pick her up, mussing up her perfect outfit, mussing up her perfect lips. And you finally throw her against the bed.
‘You’re really roughing up Prada’s global ambassador.’
‘And ambassador to a dozen other brands worth billions—couldn’t care less.’’
She smirks, and her arms open, waiting, pliant, obedient.
You rip off your buttoned shirt, tear off your pants; now, there’s truly no way of going back.
‘Wow. That scar is a lot larger than I imagined.’ She’s referring back to the scar that you received during that drunk haze of a night.
‘It was dark. Might’ve even been a lion.’
‘Mm. Heroic. Come here.’
Now, who could ever resist that?
You rip off her clothes, each layer even more decadent than the other. And then, she was there. bra barely containing her breasts, and a layer of dampness along her sexy panties.
‘That was expensive, by the way.’
‘I’ve got a payment plan on course.’
‘Mm. Enlighten me.’
You pull her panties to the side.
She’s dripping wet, nectar spooling right on her pink core. A glorious sheen that makes you stare far longer than you should’ve. She’s red-faced at this point, and her forearms cover most of her sight, and yet, she doesn’t move, doesn’t retreat.
The first lick you place, just a brush against her engorged clit, crumbles every self-regulated triangle-approved behavior she has. Two pants turn fifty, one lick crumbles everything. Her hips coax you in ways gymnasts can’t even replicate, and of course, you oblige.
Soft licks, teases around her outer lips, swollen from all the anticipation and arousal; tonguing at her inner lips, just at the crux of her clit, gets her screaming in ways her deep voice would never register; and above all, she’s orgasming, squirting, losing every pretense in favor of her built up lust.
‘Oh~fuck—’
Her fingers find purchase in your hair, and she softly pulls you in—rides your face like it was all that she ever desired: her eternal wish.
‘Ohmygod! Imcumming!’ Her voice turns mousy, and her pupils go back in pure pleasure, coupled with hip movements thought impossible: this was the greatest pleasure of her life.
You grab her chin, squeeze softly, her cheeks molding to your grasp, and you press a soft kiss right on her kiss-bruised lips. You let her taste herself on your tongue.
‘Good. Right?’
And she nods. A complete personality switch from the playfulness she displayed earlier. Delicate.
Her hands land on your boxers as she melted into your kiss. Once you felt her palm your cock, you groaned right in her ear. She starts softly, stroking. But her strokes grow more all-encompassing as you press harder into the kiss.
‘Fuck. You’re so good for me.’
She mewls back, on the gradient slide of unadulterated pleasure.
Softly, you release your shaft from the boxer. And you press your cock right on her core. Feeling the wet heat, the sticky nectar that pooled to a mindbreaking degree.
‘It goes without saying.’
‘That I’m head over heels for you?’
You grin, ‘Well, that too, but you’re hopeless.’
‘Maybe if we weren’t so compatible.’
You grab a breast, palming it, ‘Well that, that too, goes without saying.’
She smiles, so warmly, every trace of everything else melted off her face––the sort of smile you’d never forget, and the sort of smile you’d want to wake up to… forever.
Finally, you press into her, and her wet heat envelops you, enough to make you groan, enough to make her moan like there’s no greater pleasure––because really, there’s nothing else.
Her pussy clings onto you, a wet suction that is immeasurably soft and yet, a vacuum-seal-like tightness that gets you groaning after every thrust.
Her arms cling to you, and her eyebrows knit, her small face full of emotion—all of it processing how good you fuck her.
‘Oh god. Would it be bad that I want you to declare to the world that you own me?”
‘Chapter 12—’
She cuts you off, ‘Something along the lines of: “Chapter 12: Karina is my fuckslut”’
‘I don’t tolerate Karina disrespect.’ You say, truthfully.
‘Even if it’s by myself?’
‘Especially for that case, sweetheart.’
‘Oh… you’re too good.’
‘You’re blind.’
Most popular idol in the world, and… she’s hopelessly down bad for you.
‘If I’m blind. Then you don’t have eyes—complete darkness.’
‘We’re two of the same.’
‘I’m your biggest fan.’
‘We’re two of the same.’
‘I love you.’
‘You have a way with words, Karina.’ You reply, pressing soft kisses along her jaw, whispering sweet nothings into her ear, thrusting into her harder, sharing breaths.
‘You’ve inspired me.’
And you lock lips with her, the thrusts were becoming a blur, and her moans music to your ears—it was all just… heaven.
There was no technique. Nothing too purposeful. It was all just pure affection, pure love guiding all your actions. And the fact that she’s cumming again was no coincidence.
‘Oh. My. Fucking. God!’ Her head goes back deep into the pillow and you follow suit. Pressing soft kisses that covered every square centimeter of her beauty, kisses that made her giggle even in her most orgasmic moment of her life.
‘If I knew anything that felt like this… I’d be doing it constantly.’
‘Well—’
‘That’s right,’ Karina gives a soft peck, ‘I have you now.’
You could feel her heartbeat, her skin precipitate, and her cunt pulse—it’s just heaven at this point.
‘Are you trying to convince me to follow you?’
‘2 years, finest in New York.’
‘Deal. Though you overbid a little.’
‘Meaning?’
‘Means anything you want, dear.’
The soft slick of her cunt made it nearly frictionless, just pure pleasure for both parties. Her hips gave way every time, an identity of its own, retreating when you thrust too hard, giving in when softer.’
‘Is this like a sugar mommy situation?’
‘Two words I never expected you to say.’ You both share a laugh.
‘I mean that’s what it is right?’
‘A power imbalance? Please. I can get you to buy a New York penthouse for me at this point.’
‘Well. You’re right. But—’
You bring your cock to the hilt inside of her, whilst stealing her lips for a deep kiss. She moans and mewls and gasps—music to your ears. You change positions. You bring her legs to your shoulders, and you begin kissing along her ankle while thrusting inside of her.
This time, you can see the full view. How her breasts bounce against the thrusts, how her slick has completely covered your entire length at this point, and how beautifully her face is framed between it all.
Her mouth’s agape, moaning, giggling intermittently with the jokes shared through eye contact. You bite softly at her ankle then down her legs, to her calves, then releasing her legs altogether to kiss her again.
She fits perfectly against you, small and delicate but the perfect puzzle piece under you. She’s absorbent, aware of your needs, placing soft kisses along the ridges of your eyebrows, rubbing away the day’s fatigue along your jaw and temple.
‘I love you.’
‘I love you too.’
‘I didn’t hear.’
You press against her, feeling her breasts spool against your chest, bring your thrust to the hilt, the wetness of her loins pressed against yours, all of them vividly apparent. ‘I love your beauty. I love your humor. I love how clever you are. I love how authentic you are. And I could continue on and on but I’m about to cum.’
Karina sniffled, ‘God, I was about to cry and then you say that.’ She softly smacks your shoulder, ‘just cum inside me and let’s cuddle.’
You oblige, the thrusts turn into a haze of pure pleasure, a desperate moment chasing the local maxima, and finally, you burst inside of her. Cum spooled, all inside her, and she moans so gracefully, staring at you with all the affection in the world.
‘We can worry about this tomorrow.’ She palmed your jaw.
‘Of course.’ You fall onto her, cuddling her.
Both of you are a mess, gross, bodily fluids spread everywhere, and yet, the both of you fell into a deep slumber.
A/N: I'd like to apologize for switching up styles so much (But if you enjoyed this dialogue-heavy work, then lmk!)

Q&A: Let's Have a Conclave!
Q: What happened to Pope Francis?
A: He got old and died.
Q: Why is your tag "#deadfrank 2k25"?
A: Because he died, he was called Francis (although his real first name was Jorge), and it's 2025.
Q: What's happening now?
A: The Catholic Church is preparing for a new Pope, who will be elected in a conclave, like from the noted book and movie Conclave. This conclave will be sometime between May 5 and May 10; what's going on until then is a series of funerary rituals and "general congregations," i.e. meetings of the cardinals to discuss their overall thoughts on what they might like to see for the Church when they start voting. The conclave is strictly secret but the general congregations aren't; however, the cardinals tend in practice to be cagey about both stages in the process. Cardinals who vote in the conclave itself have an age limit of eighty, but the general congregations are open to older cardinals as well.
Q: What are the important numbers to remember with the conclave?
A: The total number of cardinals voting is going to be somewhere in the low 130s; 135 are eligible, two said they couldn't make it for health reasons, and now it looks like one of those two might be able to make it after all, putting the current figure at 133 or 134. To get elected Pope you need two-thirds of that, which currently is either 89 or 90.
Q: Who's in charge in the meantime?
A: Kevin Farrell, the Camerlengo (chamberlain) of the Holy Roman Church, a frankly somewhat dislikeable old snake with an MBA who used to be Bishop of Dallas (yes, the one in Texas) before getting appointed to a central position in Rome.
Q: What is the next Pope going to be like?
A: Firm answer: Nobody knows.
My educated guess: It's going to be someone who continues a lot of Francis's priorities, but maybe not one of the big names and maybe not the priorities people in the First World tend to associate with him. The Western conservatives are alienating the sort of Global South wild cards they'd have to win over, and we're getting statements stressing continuity and finishing the work Francis started from people like Rwanda's Antoine Kambanda and Myanmar's Charles Maung Bo. These are people who are going to want to see more of Francis's informality, his populism, and probably his focus on climate action and poverty relief. What that would mean for women's or LGBT people's status in the Church could be almost anything, since plenty of people in the developing world with the above views are very socially conservative otherwise, but the full-on reactionaries seem pretty locked out.
Q: Who are some of the papabili ("pope-able") cardinals?
A: Tolentino de Mendonça, Tagle, Zuppi, Parolin, Grech, Prevost, López Romero, Aveline, Pizzaballa, Turkson, Arborelius, Ambongo, Ranjith, and Erdő are some of the names to look into here, listed vaguely from "left" to "right" (although these are tricky terms in this context and at least one voting cardinal, Malaysia's Sebastian Francis, avowedly thinks using them is a form of Eurocentrism). But it doesn't have to be one of them; in fact, it doesn't even have to be one of the cardinals voting; it just always is.
Q: Is he seriously named that?
A: Yes, the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, the bishop responsible for (among other things) most Palestinian Christians, is really named Pierbattista Pizzaballa. I'm told it sounds silly even to native speakers of Italian.
Q: Is my fave [Tagle/Zuppi/Erdő if I have anyone like that following me/Pizzaballa/whoever] going to be Pope?
A: There's no one odds-on favorite, so probably not.
Q: Is my least fave going to be Pope?
A: See above.
Q: Who are you, monstrousgourmandizingcats, rooting for?
A: Zuppi, but it's not up to me.
Q: Is Kevin from Dallas a papabile?
A: Lmao no.
Q: Why are all these people men?
A: There ain't no rule that says a cardinal has to be a man, since a cardinal is technically a separate thing from a priest, but it would be very very difficult for all sorts of logistical and cultural reasons for a pope to actually appoint a woman as a cardinal, and not even Pope Francis ever seriously considered it. There is one woman, a nun called Simona Brambilla, who accidentally got an email inviting her to the general congregations because she's the head of a dicastery (a department of the Church's central government), but unfortunately she doesn't seem to have taken the mailing list up on it.
Q: Is the process fun to follow?
A: Very fun, yes, but also stressful for those of us who care a lot about the Church's direction.
Q: What's the talk among the cardinals focusing on so far?
A: According to Italian-language news, which is usually the most informed on this stuff, the big topics are migrant/refugee issues and how powerful the Church's central administration should be, not necessarily in that order.
Q: Any drama so far?
A: Yes! Angelo Becciu, a corrupt cardinal who resigned his right to sit in a conclave after a criminal conviction for fraud, had resignee's remorse, showed up for one of the general congregations, and had to be escorted out by the Swiss Guards. Kevin from Dallas got taken off Mass duty for (iirc) the sixth of the "Novemdiales" (nine days) of formal mourning for Pope Francis and they replaced him with Víctor Manuel Fernández, an Argentinian cardinal whom the right flank of the Church despises because he's the architect of kinda-sorta-if-you-squint allowing blessings of same-sex couples. Some conservative old guard cardinals supposedly descended on their safe deposit boxes for blinged-out gold pectoral crosses that Francis wouldn't let them wear while he was alive. I'm sure there's much much more to come!

So I tried a mix of the anti method and affirmations, and I feel like I'm doing a good job shifting, but then when I open my eyes I'm still here?
I was trying to shift while showering (because you can shift anywhere at anytime ofc) and I used that method, and I always feel so close to being in my DR-- and then nothing. A slightly jarred feeling when I open my eyes, but I'm still in this reality.
I know that you don't need a final push, and some people feel like they snap into place etc. etc. I just don't know how to fully get there?
Hope that makes sense, I love your new tiktok page!
you're just expecting a jumpcut when what you're building is a dissolve.
people talk about snapping into their dr the way youtubers say and just like that i'm cured. skip the edit.
shifting is (sadly) binary. you are. or you aren't. and the moment you go "where is it?" you've voted no.
you're using the anti method (our cursed child. our gaslight gatekeep girlboss tool.) which means the foundational assumption is i am already in my dr, perchaaaanceeee i've just forgotten. cool. now act like it!!!!!!!!!!! you are brute-forcing assumption into structure.
what that means practically is:
no i want to be in my dr. no i'm so close. none of that soy milk hope-core shit. you're not on the verge of heaven, you're in heaven with mild amnesia and a blunt in your hand, therefore you say things like:
this is just the transition period. my dr is stabilising. i've already shifted, i'm just adjusting to the perception shift. every second i feel confused is just proof of reorientation. this is memory reordering, not failure.
say them out loud. say them in your head. say them while shampooing. let your hair carry the truth. you're in your dr with coconut-scented certainty.
after you say your affirmations, you don't pause and open your eyes like the secret door to narnia's going to swing open and edmund's going to hand you turkish delight (@velvetbeeez mention, hi thought of you). no. you say your affirmations and you NOTICE. how your body feels, how the water hits your back, how the tiles look, how your brain flickers. you clock the incongruences, you make a note of them, not as wrongness, but as signs of shift. like:
that's funny. this wall's never looked that sharp before. why do i feel like i'm standing straighter today? this shampoo smells like a dream. like my dream. huh.
BECAUSEEEEE. you're not seeking proof. you're documenting it retroactively. you're not manifesting...........you're remembering (she said it?? she said it!!!!). you got blackout drunk on reality and are now piecing it together from glimmers.
if you're still waiting to open your eyes and see dr hogwarts or paris or your billionaire boyfriend on a fainting couch with a camus paperback.......i am sighing. the anti method is a cognitive overwrite, not a fireworks show. you're not waiting for your surroundings to change. your surroundings have already changed, you just haven't updated the map. so update it. live like it.
"but how do i live like it if i don't see it?"
no. no. we're not doing this again. this isn't plato's cave. BABY this is YOUR cave. you decorated it, you hung the posters, if the light looks off, it's because your eyes are adjusting, not because it's not real.
so if you say things like "i'm in my dr, i just forgor," follow it with one small non-performative gesture. not a ritual, not a task, just a nudge, a little......lean. reach for a towel as if it's the one from your dr bathroom. say "thanks" to the shower water as if it's dr-filtered with lavender. look at your hand and go, "this is the hand he kisses." (or she. or they. or you. or god. i'm not judging.)
people expect a jumpcut, which is understandable. but we are doing DISSOLVE edits......... real terrence malick hours, you feel jarred because you were already in, and your cr brain did a bitchy little bootloop to remind you that it's losing control because it's a LOSER AND HATES PEOPLE WINNING. the confusion is confirmation, lean into it. say, "cute try." say, "i've had worse transitions." drink water. not because hydration = shifting (unless you decide it is, then it literally is), but because your body believes anything with enough narrative conviction.
ok. SO. what did we learn today.
stop seeking entry. start recognising OCCUPANCY; your affirmations are not doorbells. they are location pings; every "nothing happened" moment is just your brain buffering. let it load.
you're not almost there. you're not getting close. you're not so close you can taste it. you're eating it. right NEOW. the meal is just taking its shape
chew. swallow. say thank you. also. joan of arc never saw the shift coming either. well it was a different one. but you get the point
and thank you for loving the tiktok page!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You hated parties.
Scratch that. You hated parties where you didn't know anybody.
It isn't like you were anxious or an extreme introvert, and though you valued a lot the time you spent alone, it's more in the sense you can't help but overthink in this type of events, especially given the industry you're in. And so far, that industry had only given you meaningless roles. But it was better than nothing, of course, and you were glad to at least be in Netflix's call sheet for extra roles.
Your dream, however, was very much still alive. Hence, this job you've taken: working as Elvira Lind's PA, wife of famous actor Oscar Isaac. Did that guarantee you something? No, but it was closer than you were months ago. It is also the same reason why you're stuck in this party: Oscar Isaac's birthday, which you planned. You were forced to stay, both insisting it was unfair you did all that effort and didn't get to enjoy it. You didn't mind it, really: you loved planning parties. Thought, you felt in no position to deny the couple of anything, so you agreed.
Which brings you back to now, where you lay against one of the walls of the garden, sipping your drink: away from the music, chatter and people.
Today, the last thing you need is this.
You stare at your nails, bitten to the very finger in an anxious self-hating manner. It's a cruel reminder of today's failure: the audition, rejection burning in your back like a second skin.
You're growing tired of it: the closed doors in your face, the look of pity to let you finish even if you won't get the role, the condescending tone of I'm sorry, you're not what we're looking for.
You glance back at the party, your boss obviously having a good time with her husband. Well, at least she did. Sighing and trying to stay far away to be a Debbie Downer by yourself and not ruin the mood, you empty the glass in your hand in one gulp. Hey, maybe the alcohol will make the rest of the night more tolerable. Your aunt said you were a fun drunk once; you haven't seen her since you move to LA.
Isn't all this too depressing for a birthday party?
"Fuck" you exhale out loud, closing your eyes and letting your head rest against the wall.
"Rough night?"
You pay no mind to the new voice, deciding to sulk in private. So you keep your eyes close, humming as to answer: not out of wanting to engage on conversations or politeness, but because you hate silence.
"Looks like it"
More silence settles in. You refuse to open your eyes, hoping they're gone.
Despite it all, you find yourself replying. "You have no idea"
"At least there's a free bar" their voice is laced with mischief. "Very mindful of the person who organized this. And I know it wasn't Oscar, maldito tacaño" (fucking cheapskate)
Maybe it's because you shouldn't laugh, since it's your boss' husband. Or it's the way they haven't been deterred by your dry demeanor, or the fact that the voice sounds... familiar, for a reason you can't quite place.
"I did"
You open your eyes, turning to the person who decided the lonely sad looking woman on the pathetic silent corner of the garden was more interesting than the party going on behind.
"Ay, carajo!" you jump, soul practically leaving your body. You swear, after such shitty day, your head is playing games with you, and for some reason has decided to imagine your favorite actor as a coping mechanism. "Pedro Pascal?" (oh, damn)
He laughs, "Unless there's another way of calling me I'm not familiar with"
Of course he would be here. You organized the whole thing: went through the food and drinks as much as you went over the list of guests. But Elvira said that he probably wouldn't be able to make it, so of course, there was no reason to expect him nor try to put an extra effort in your look and plaster a fake smile.
Yet now he stands before you, and it's like your brain has crashed.
"Uh- You okay?"
"Definitely no" you're quick to answer, your voice sounding distant. "Now less"
"Oh!" he scratches the back of his neck awkwardly, as his face flushes a pretty pink. "Is it my fault?"
He looks genuinely sorry about it, making you borderline distressed.
"Yes" Pedro raises his eyebrows, "but not how you're thinking. Yes, in the sense you're right here, right now, when you weren't supposed to. Ms. Elvira said you wouldn't make it but oh- Don't feel bad. This is my fault, for acting weird" you start rambling. "It's just, you're my favorite actor, and I we met while I'm wearing the worst dress in my closet on my worst day ever"
Pedro gives you a shy smile. "I would've never guessed"
You quirk an eyebrow, heart slamming against your chest, agitated.
"Guess what?"
He shrugs, as to mantain the mystery. "It's up to you to decide"
You look down, to your dress. You play with a loose thread as you speak.
"It's definitely not about the dress"
He laughs, but the sound is small, as if it was for you only. Like he wanted you to be the only one to hear it, like a secret of yours to keep.
"Can I tell you something?" he leans in, and the smell of clean and his cologne get in your nostrils. "I think you're the prettiest sight I've seen in a while"
The air is knocked out of your lungs at his breathless confession. The party goes quiet, and for a second, the cold of the condensation that spills from the drink and mingles with that of the night's wind is gone. All you know is there's a warmth you've never felt before, one that is settling in your chest like it's making itself a home, like he is entering your life for it to be felt now ever since.
Everything has changed.
"Please, stop talking" he looks shocked at your harsh words for a moment, but then your face turns redder by the second. "I think I'm going to throw up and I haven't even had a full drink yet" your glass sweating as much as you now a testament to this.
"Oh-" he sheepishly looks down. "I'm sorry"
It's been a long week. You still can't believe this is happening. How could anyone in their right minds believe so?
"I don't know you"
He offers you a small smile.
"I thought you said you were a fan"
You can't choose what burns more: your face, lungs or chest. It's like he's breaking you, little by little. You're folding. And it's the unknown that terrifies you: you're not exactly a control freak, nor a cold person, but this is all too new and too soon. All he had to do was look at you, make you feel seen, and you don't know if it's years of fighting to be noticed or the way you easily believe in every word he says. He might as well just caught you the moment he first spoke, world stopping to hear his every breath and your shaky heart.
You look at him, sternly, trying from a different angle.
"You can't just say things like that"
"Why not?" he tilts his head, "last time I checked, lying isn't bad"
You gulp, hardly.
"You don't mean it" you insist.
"Why not?" he repeats. "Is it that hard for yourself to believe you're pretty?"
"It's rather hard to believe Pedro Pascal of all people rather spend his time complimenting me in a room full of pretty and famous guests"
"I suppose I like telling things the way they are. And how I see it, no matter how much you try to downplay yourself, you're still the most interesting person in this room"
Your stomach can't decide if to tie in a knot or let the butterflies fly.
"You're trying to tell me I'm pretty?"
"It's even better when you say it" he purses his lips together, satisfied. "Don't you think?"
He leans against the wall, next to your small wallflower spot.
"Pretty" he whispers into the air, his exhale condescending into the night.
"I still can't believe you'd choose to be here" he looks at you, eyebrow raised. "I mean, how interesting can your friend's wife's PA be?"
He laughs, loudly. You don't think what you just said is that funny.
"What?"
"They did said you had a bit of a character"
You scoff, pouting lightly. Pedro sees your posture relax a bit, shoulders less tense, and smiles.
"My boss talks behind my back?"
He shots you a look. "Don't you do the same?"
You place a hand on your chest. "I'm actually a honest person. If I don't like you, I'll say it to your face. Same if I do"
"And how are you liking me so far?" he asks, smirking.
Pedro knows he's playing with dangerous waters, seeing the conflict in your eyes torn between letting go or holding back, but he can't help it. Ever since the moment he went through the door and caught your lonely figure in the back, away from the noise and the livelihood of the party, he was drawn to you, intrigued by your guarded posture. Like you were bracing yourself.
"Who's that?" Pedro asked Oscar.
"Elvira's new personal assistant" he answers. "I told you about her"
"You did?"
He's surprised about that. He thinks he'd remember.
"Yeah, y/n. Rings a bell?"
Oh, that y/n. "The one who got you the costumes for your kids last Halloween?"
He thinks of the picture Oscar sent him, the words accompanying the photo carrying love and pride for his children, all dressed up. The costumes were nice, detailed, like the person behind them just knew what they were doing.
"Yeah, she did them herself. Pretty smart and useful girl; been working with us for a while. Seems part of the family by now"
He nods, distracted. Oscar gives him a knowing stare accompanied by a smirk.
"Hey, why don't you go talk to her? Está toda solita, ¿no ves?" Oscar nudges him. "Use that nice smile of yours. She's had a pretty rough day" (she's all by herself, don't you see?)
Despite his interest in you, complimenting you (more like flirting) hadn't been exactly his plan, yet as soon as he went by your side, your perfume clouded his judgment and the sight of the silhouette of your curves under your flimsy dress made him dizzy. All common sense went out the window, and by Oscar's earlier reaction, something tells him his friend expected this to happen.
"So, the rumors are true" your voice breaks his train of thoughts, "you're a heartthrob"
The tip of his ears go red. God, he loves the way your eyes lit up with fierce passion, as if accepting some kind of game he isn't aware of. That fiery crack, spark of yours was all too consuming. Pedro finds himself drawn to the fire of your spirit, not minding the burn.
He can handle the heat, anyway.
"Look how the tables have turned" you say, smirking. "Am I making you nervous?"
Maybe not that much.
But your smile, victorious grin on display, carrying the same illusion of a child on a Christmas morning, brings him down to his knees. He finds himself wanting more of it, being the one to provoke it.
"Very" he decides to reply. "But it's a good thing"
"We're good then"
"Pedro Pascal" he offers his hand. "But you know that"
"Y/n" grabbing his hand makes something settle deep in your bones. "But judging by how Elvira and Oscar look at us, I think you do too"
"Jesus" Pedro murmurs, "what are they up to?"
"Nothing good, I suppose" you look in their direction, and they both play clueless, looking away. "Don't worry, they'll pay for that"
"Oh, look at you" he teasingly touches your shoulder. Even if for brief seconds, your skin feels on fire. "Little evil thing, who would've thought?"
You barely contain a smile. "There's a lot to me you don't know"
He leans in closer to you. The lingering smell of alcohol on his breath gets under your skin. Talking about it, you need another drink, fast.
"Well, I'm interested in learning"
"Are you?" you taunt.
"Trust me. You aren't getting rid of me"
Pedro was many things: funny, charming, loyal, educated and hot. Like, offensively handsome. But he was also honest and a man of his word.
Just as told, he kept his promise to stay, committed to the whole knowing me, knowing you bit.
Months had passed and he had stayed.
You went from talking about coffee orders with way too many shots and the weather to political stances and failed auditions. Dreams and secrets. Things you'd probably never say outloud to anyone else. It had begun with loud laughs and conversations turned to hushed whispers under the palm leaves of his house. He invited you to his home: gave you a chance to enter the most kept part of his life, away from the noise and cameras, and let you settle inside, like you always belonged. Let you carve a space on his heart and mind, where you where for most of the time if you weren't sitting on his couch, two big for one person but that now felt complete, dipping under the new weight of someone else. Someone to keep.
(He told you about missing Chile and his family. You told him you had always wanted to be a mother. Spoke in Spanish sometimes like the language belonged only to your world. He shared his brief swimming career. You told him about your first kiss; bad. Said your fears, like heartbreak and the sharp solitude of being forgotten. Fame. Failure. Pedro told you to be patient, no one better to tell you so, but allowed you to break down in tears as you mumbled a What if it never happens? as he whispered back a It will, sounding so sure, your heart quieted and you allowed yourself to believe him. You always would, ever since his first promise: You aren't getting rid of me)
Oscar and Elvira, of course, had noticed. How could they not? Their most trusted and professional employee and one of their closests friends had fallen together in the slow delicious burn of the amber flame of love.
It was obvious to everyone but you. Or maybe you knew, teetering around the edges of a delicate friendship that pressed with a hurting softness on your ribs, trying to remind you it shouldn't be like this if it only meant that. Perhaps you were scared of the sharp corners that threatened your frail dancing around the real, big question:
What are we?
Maybe summer was the answer: with it's sun, salt air and sweat on shirts of flimsy material. He had already your spring and your winter. New Year's was at his house. Happy New Year, he had whispered, so close to your lips, it felt like a kiss. A silent I want you here, for all year promise behind his hushed tone, just for you to hear, no matter the fireworks and the glittery noise of music and mellow conversations of excited purposes with new chapters to be written. It was just you and him, as when you sat on the Santa Mónica Hills, white Hollywood sign below your feet, or when the poppies on that park he took you to brushed your feet with the sweet blossom of spring.
He'd taken all your cold and daises with him. The leaves growing and falling. Growing again. The smell of grass that reminded you of when you were young, running around with your brother without a care in the world. Safe. You weren't religious, but believed in a God out there who heard your prayers for Pedro to be by your side all the time.
You'd give him all your seasons. All your life.
"Nice view, isn't it?" Pedro asks, leaning to your side.
His smell, one you wore as your own, the hugs (wasn't he touchy as hell?) and fleeting lasting touches to blame, fills your nostrils. Your body stiffens at the closeness, never allowing yourself to relax at how close you were: to hearing his breath, to mapping all his face... But he always managed to amuse you, like today: his moustache was a tad bit unkempt, new greys here and there. So was his hair, yet managed to look breathtaking as the scenery below you.
"Listen, if you were going to peak this much all the trip, you could've taken the window seat" you chastise with no malice behind your soft voice. "I offered you so"
"I wanted you to have it"
There it goes. The reason you had thought about him all the flight. But again, when weren't you?
"There's no winning with you, huh?"
"Oh, please" he makes a funny face, lips in a pout. "You love to be close to me"
"As if, old man" you joke. "Whatever suits your delusional ass"
This banter makes Oscar and Elvira, sitting in the row next to you, roll their eyes.
"If we knew you'd be this annoying, we wouldn't brought you along"
Life had been crazy right now. Lots of roles and filming, especifically Pedro finishing to film The Mandalorian, a series soon to hit Disney's streaming service and one that could make him a household name. You just knew it, despite how many times he looked insecure about it. Still, he was excited, probably more than he was with the Wonder Woman sequel. Yeah, the role Oscar convinced him to take was what got him excited for the rest of the year to come.
So, before Pedro went to film a Netflix movie he didn't want to tell you about (you wondered why he seemed embarrassed to talk about it, despite committing to the role, as always) and Oscar went to fully inmerse in Dune (God, you were excited for that one), Elvira had suggested to take a break, and as a Thank you for the almost three years working for her, they took you with them. Now, Pedro was a last minute addition, him being surprised about being invited at all, but judging by the continuous stares from the couple, you think this was their plan all along.
"We're about to descend, isn't it great?" Oscar shares, holding his wife's hand. "I needed this"
"We all do" she agrees, leaning on his shoulders. He hums happily, closing his eyes as the pilot's voice announces for seatbelts to be worn.
"Should we do that too?" you whisper to Pedro, wiggling your brows.
"Oh, we should" he agrees in an exaggerated sweet tone, grabbing your hand. You're used to it, but today, more than ever, your heart beats fast. You lean to him, closing your eyes to avoid his brown eyes that seemed harder not to fall into each passing day, so inviting.
"You're not funny" you hear Oscar's voice say. "What a weird sense of humor you have, my sweet girlfriend"
Pedro clicks his tongue. "You guys are gross"
"Right, you won't be saying that when you fall in love" Elvira adds.
"You'll have to die waiting" he says, still holding your hand. "You know I don't do that"
You tense, and he must've felt so.
"You okay?"
"Yeah. I just hate the landing"
But your heart sinks like the plane over the tracks, crestfallen.
Despite the initial sadness, the blue of the sea took away the one in your heart.
Water had never seemed this alluring, so transparent you could see your feet pruning and the sand below your toes. You laughed under the sun, skin sprinkled with the salt of the sea and sweat.
"I wished the sea would swallow me away"
Outloud. Voice distant. The water isn't even at your waist, but Pedro looks at you. The couple are behind, sunbathing in their towels while music plays from their speaker.
"I would never allow that" sounding so serious. "I can't let you leave me"
You're taken back to your first night. You can't just say things like that.
"Right" you continue, "I'd do you a favor"
"The favor would be to stay. But I'd rather have it be a promise"
Promises. Funny. Why did Pedro say this things so freely, as true as a breath, when then he'd go and voice his fear for commitment and refusal for love in the next beat? Of course, you can't force nothing, nor have the right to change him. But it stings, that you no longer know what his initial promise meant. Friends. Yeah, could be that, but boy, didn't it hurt?
It isn't enough.
Your heart doesn't get the memo though, fluttering with his words.
"The promise to bother you forever?" you try to keep your tone steady.
"I can live with that if it means to keep you"
You suck in a breath.
"Look"
You kneel down, trying to avoid his face. Pedro should notice, he always does, but he's too busy staring somewhere else. Someone else. By God, this bikini you're wearing... It's making him insane. And hard. Under his swimtrucks, but you can't find out. He already feels like a creep, staring at your ass while you bend, giving him your back. Obscene images fill his mind, brain racing with filthy ideas of the position, reimagined.
He's a fucking joke.
"What?" he asks, mind elsewhere, somewhere between the tanning marks that have started to appear in your skin.
"A seashell" you hold your discovery to his face, giggling like a high schooler.
"It's cute" he murmurs, big fingers brushing past yours. He sees you gulp. "Like you"
You gulp again, this time with difficulty.
"Stop it, bobo" (dummy)
"You make it hard"
No, he made it hard by saying this things without a care in your poor heart.
You splash some water onto him, making Pedro laugh. Feisty girl, his deep voice rasps, making your cheeks flare up as your bottoms start to feel wet, and not by the shallow water. You remember then your menstrual cycle app. Fertile week, the notification said.
"If you ever say something like that again, I'll drown you"
"The compliment or the berating?" Pedro's quick to reply.
Jesus Christ.
"I'll tell Oscar and Elvira to send you home. Now"
"You wouldn't" he responds, laughing.
Your own laughter quiets down.
"That's right" with a soft, quiet acceptance. His laughter dies too at your tone, looking so deeply into your eyes, you feel dizzy. There's something you can't quite place in them. "I wouldn't"
A wind breezes by. The air has shifted. And the worst part is you both feel it.
Later that night, you joined the couple for dinner. Pedro was already there, changing his red swimming trunks for a Cuvabera shirt that clung to his broad shoulders and showed a weak peak of his soft silhoutte.
"Good you joined us"
"I wouldn't miss it" you reply to Elvira's sincere words, taking a seat next to Pedro.
What he wouldn't miss, is you. Holy fuck. Had you done this on purpose for him being a teasing ass to you earlier? No, how could you? You didn't know the effect you had on him.
The same effect that's making it so hard to ignore how your breasts are pushed up, and how it graciously adapts to your figure. He feels blood rush to his face and cock, and by Oscar's teasing snicker, he knows he's been obvious with the staring.
Nevertheless, conversation flows easily as the drinks and food. After rounds of wine and pasta from the hotel's restaurant, you feel a bit drunk. Nothing too alarming, just enough to do something stupid.
Like saying I love you.
"Are you okay?"
Despite being his usual loud self, Pedro's been spacing out here and there, and it always seems to happen when you talk.
"Yeah. 'M fine" you try reaching for him, but he stands up, abruptly so. "I just need some fresh air"
"I can come-"
"No!" his voice cracks. Fuck. Did he just yell at you? Judging by Elvira's glance, he did. God, and to your sweet offering and smile? He's going to hell. "Sorry, just better off by myself"
You flinch. Something like hurt makes its way to your face. He's hating himself more by the minute.
"Okay. Have fun"
But it's emotionless. You let him walk away, and it doesn't even take a minute of Pedro's back leaving the restaurant for the couple to gossip.
"Must be work stress"
"Sure it is, babe"
You don't like their tone, as if they knew an inside joke you aren't part of. Like you're the joke.
"I'll go after him"
You don't know what bothers you more: their silent stare or how they didn't stop you.
You find Pedro on an alleyway, propped against the wall. His features are lit by a dim glow.
"I thought you quit"
He blows some smoke. "And I thought I told you not to follow me"
You sigh, standing next to him.
"You smoke when you're nervous"
He doesn't look at you when he replies. "I don't"
You click your tongue. A beat.
"You do"
"I'm sorry, Ms. Expert On Me" he mocks, taking a drag.
"Fuck you" you retort, tired of his off-putting behavior during dinner and now. He gives you a bewildered look, making you angrier. "And don't give me that face, you're the one who's been acting weird all night. I'm just trying to be a good friend"
"If you were a good friend" he delivers the words in a way it feels like a slap to your face, "you would've leave me alone"
Pedro hardly lost his temper, yet now, his eyes burn with a barely contained rage.
"P..." you try one last time, never one to beg but finding yourself doing the impossible for him. Using that silly nickname as your last weapon.
"Go" is his last plead.
"Not until you tell me what is going on"
He loves how stubborn you can be.
He hates it.
"Go" he insists.
"No. You can't just- act like this! Shutting me out and..." you feel frustrating bubbling up your chest. "I don't know what's happening, just talk to me. Help me understand. Pedro, you can't treat me like I'm a nuissance when you have flirted with me hours-"
The words spill out before you can contain them. He lets out a cold laugh that chills your bones.
"Flirted with you?" Pedro takes another drag. "Jesus, y/n"
It's the way he said it that makes you want to vomit. Like the sole idea of it is offensive.
"Why do you say it like that?" you shove him.
His jaw tightens. Eyes red from the wine and anger. Cigarrette dangling from his lips.
"Like what?"
"Like the thought of it makes you sick, pendejo!" (Bastard)
"Why can't you just leave me the fuck alone!" he finally snaps, shouting. You stumble back slightly, almost falling due to your drunken senses. "See? This is why I told you to go. I say things I don't-"
"Don't you fucking dare blame this on me" you seethe. "It was your choice. To hurt me"
He hates how your voice cracks. Guilt creeps in.
"I don't want to" he runs a hand through his already messy curls. "I'm sorry"
"But you did. Why?"
Why do you hurt me when all I do is love you?
"Because I'm stupid" he leans against the wall, his regrets falling like the ash losing among the patters of the sand.
"You are" you stiffle a laugh. Without asking permission, you steal the half burnt cigarrette from his hands.
He let's you, without a word. He always has given you everything.
"We need to stop dragging this" you let out, flat. Decisive, as you stomp the cigarrette in the ground.
His heart beats so loud, it's the only sound on his ears.
"What's this?" voice barely above a whisper.
This means all those times he'd lean in too close, suffocating, because he'd always knock the air out of your lungs. When he'd hold your hand for too long, mind wandering to places it shouldn't. How your toothbrush stayed at his place, and he didn't tell you to take it back. How you changed the way the pillows on his bed where lined up, because it was comfier, and he never changed it to the way it was. You had changed his life in so many little and meaningful ways. He just couldn't imagine a life before you.
Without you.
"You know what this is" your voice is calm, accepting. "But you can call it what you want"
The moon shines above. The water crashes softly on the shore. The air feels humid and hot, but not smothering. Not anymore.
"I'm scared" is all he says. "Ever since one morning, I woke up feeling different. I just... I wanted you to be there. That your face was the first thing I saw when I opened my eyes"
You always know what to say. Words seem to bloom out of you. Now they're stuck in your throat, choking you up like thorns.
"I think I've known for a long time, but you know... It's hard to accept something familiar yet foreign. Old but new"
You gulp. Your heart races.
"Pedro" your own voice feels foreign to you. "You don't have to-"
This was an apology. A search for answers. This is it. It's too much to take. You'd never guess you'd hear him utter any words that spoke about the nature of your relationship, made it clear, gave it a name, less to be under the pale moonlight.
"I'm not ready, but I want to. For you. Us"
His lips aren't as close as they have been other times, yet now, it feels it can end with a kiss.
"I can wait" you reply softly, cupping his face. Your fingers grace his two day stubble, focused on the small heart resembling patch where no hair grows. "For you, anything"
You'll kiss. Finally.
But then―
A ping. Small sound. You recognize it as the one you've designated for emails.
"What's that?"
You take out your phone, seeing the mail app icon badge on your notifications. With shaky fingers you unlock it, heart trembling. Pedro places his hand on your shoulder, as to ground you. Doesn't he know you well?
It's from your agent, the one Elvira had recommended you.
You suck in a breath. Casting call, reads the subject line.
"Oh. My. God" you cover your mouth with your hand. "P-Pedro! Fuck, look!"
He has always loved your victory face. It's the best view, even with the sea in front of him.
"I got the role" you whisper. Some tears of happiness show in your eyes.
"I knew you would"
"I-I got it" you jump in excitement, a scream lost in the night. "I got it, I got it, I got it!"
This time louder. Happier. More excited. He just watches mesmerized every little jump you do and how joy seems to ooze out of your body, the energy contagious. He finds himself smiling at you, something warm as pride settling on his chest.
"I would've personally hunt them if you got rejected"
You stop your celebration, looking at him between playful and breathless.
"Good thing they didn't"
You get close again. He doesn't know when, just that now he can see the acne scars on your face.
"Because they know what's good" he replies, tucking a loose strand behind your ear with a gentleness never known before.
You can't help but smile, your nose brushing with his.
"Don't we all?"
There's a kiss. Strong. Full of yearn, like the one on movies. On songs. This is what they want to write and sing about; try to put the feeling into words. He bits your lower lip and your tongue slides into his mouth, eager. His hands find their way to your hips, tight as a promise, pulling you even closer.
"God. You taste so good. So sweet" Pedro mumbles. Drunk. Wine or you, he doesn't care. It all makes him feel warm and fuzzy. "Need more"
With a sudden burst of movement, Pedro spins you around, pushing you up against the wall, pinning your wrists above your head with one large hand. His eyes are dark and breathing ragged, as if he's lost control.
Your heart jumps in your throat.
"W-what are you doing?"
His other hand slides down the curve of your side, over the flare of your hip, to grip your ass, pulling your hips flush against his own as he grounds the thick ridge of his erection against your core.
His voice drops.
"Don't be surprised, baby. As if you haven't thought about it"
He was right but also wrong. When you came looking for him, this was the last outcome in your mind.
Other nights, alone in your bedroom, however...
Your voice comes out in a breathless whisper. Pleading. "You know they could come looking for us any minute by now"
"Let them" he whispers, heavy breaths out of his mouth, mingling with your own. "Don't you want to properly celebrate, baby? Don't act like you don't want it. What if they walked in right now and saw their assistant grinding on their friend? Dripping all over my pants like the dirty slut you are?"
He whines as you grind your hips down on him.
"Then we better put on a show, don't you think?"
The khaki does a very poor job of hiding the wet patch already forming in the fabric over his tip, and if you had more time, you'd probably ask to suck him off; that's how equally horny and grateful you are now.
"Dirty girl"
So damn hot, your arousal pools into your now wet and sticky panties. Shout out to the dress: you don't think you could've handled the pulse of your aching cunt inside jeans.
"M'sorry for not being able to, you know-" he wiggles his eyebrows, smile soon strained by gritted teeth. "Wish I could just fuck you, here and now"
"Well, you can always come to my room tonight" and pull out the spare keycard the hotel gave you, taunting him with it like a hungry dog with a bone.
He gives you a hopeful look.
"You bet I'll be there" and bites it away from your grasp.
It's so sexy, but he's soon dropping it somewhere, falling with a soft click to the sand, because he's kissing you again, whole mouth devouring yours. Pedro makes little noises, all too strained and eager, groaning as his head falls back, your damp panties pressed intimately against the cloth of his shorts.
Pedro is fucking flying. Borderline ascending. All he knows is his cock throbbs hard as your clothed pussy grinds down on his lap while you rock your hips against his.
"Fuck-" he curses, "shouldn't wore such a small little frail dress while parading around me, baby. Es una puta tortura" (it's a fucking torture)
He grips your hips tighter, fingers digging into the soft flesh as he fights the urge to grind up against you. His large hands slid up your sides, skimming over the side of your ribs, the swell of your breasts. Pedro hums in satisfaction. Along blooms something akin to pride in your chest.
"You like it?"
"More than I should" he admits, cheeks flaring up.
"So that's why you were distracted" you laugh at him, playfully swatting his chest. "Couldn't handle the y/n charm?"
"Shut up" he mumbles, embarrased.
"Make me"
He rests his head down in your collarbones, stubble making light tickles as it grazes against your flushed skin, down in the crook of your neck, hiding his face there. Pedro breathes you in, musk mixed with sweat and the fading notes of your floral perfume, then growls.
"I don't know how I'll stop myself from not having you, baby. You've fucked me up, I swear" you moan at the intensity of each word that spills from his mouth, "might not care if Oscar and Elvira walk in now-"
"Pedro!" you yelp as his hips rolling to meet yours. A pink embarrassement washes over your face, not only at the thought but also at how you're not entirely displeased. "D-don't say that"
"Oh, please. Will you tell me you don't like the idea? Should've thought about it first, then, naughty girl" he rasps, voice a low, desperate rumble. "Don't you feel what you do to me? How hard I am for you?"
With each word, a new thrust of his hips, khaki shorts against your panties rubbing deliciously. He could feel all of your heat even through the layers separating you.
Pedro groans softly, hips rolling urgently against yours as he pinned you harder to the wall with his body, his soft planes molding with your own.
What a vacation.
(Dry humping with Pedro Pascal on a hotel room during a getaway with your boss, who happened to be Elvira Lind, wife of Oscar Isaac? After being handed a role you fought hard for? Never ever even dreamed of it)
"You want to come on my cock like this?" Pedro purrs in your ear. "Want me to dry hump this little cunt until you're coming?"
The thick bulge of his erection rubs right over your clothed slit. He feels your body tensing, breath coming in short gasps. One of those dies in your throat as you feel his fingers dipping underneath to touch your slick folds.
"Jesus, baby. You're soaked" he speaks as his fingers part your lips, delving deeper to stroke over your swollen clit. "Is this all for me, sweetheart?"
He circles your clit with the rough pad of his finger, feeling your hips buck and writhe against his touch. He can feel your walls starting to flutter, your body tensing as your climax approaches.
"Let me reward you, then, for bein' such a good girl" voice a low rasp in your ear. "My future movie star"
Pedro rubs your clit harder, fingers pumping in and out as he ground his cock against you, chasing his own desperate pleasure. He too was so close, balls tight, cock throbbing and leak on his pants.
"Fuck, Y/n... come on, baby. Come for me"
He feels your body stiffen and then fall against him as your orgasm crashes over you. He groans long and low as he feels your slick walls pulsing and fluttering around his rough digits.
It's not long before he comes, hard, his cock jerking and pulsing as he spills himself in his pants, seeping through the cotton and staining the fabric.
Now it's his turn to slump against you, pinning you to the wall with his larger frame as he struggles to catch his breath. His fingers still their movements, pulling them out of your soaked heat as he tries to even his breathing.
He nuzzles into your hair, wearing a lazy smile you can't see.
"That's my good girl. Came so pretty, all for me" Pedro praises. "Made a complete mess of yourself, didn't you? Even when you knew they could come looking for us, but that didn't stop you at all, dirty baby"
You chuckle, readjusting yourself.
"Time to head back, dirty boy"
"Boo, you're boring" he jokes. "But whatever my girl wants"
Pedro leans to kiss your hand, softly. You giggle.
"I like my men obedient"
"And I'm into submission" he winks, "so we're even"
Oscar and Elvira don't ask about your thirty minute absence, yet by their unspoken married couple secret language, it's like they know or at least guess what happened. And your shared glances and smiles give it away, anyway.
"I'm heading to my room" you announce after dessert, brushing your fingers with Pedro's. A small reminder.
"It's barely ten" Oscar replies with a strange tone.
"Tonight was fun but I'm tired" you offer a rather lazy excuse. "Goodnight"
The copy of your key burns in his pocket. He abruptly stands up, not even five minutes after. He is as obvious as impatient.
"Wow, slow down buddy" Oscar grabs his arm, forcing him to sit down again. His cock twitches, as pissed as he is. "Easy. There's no rush, is it? Or do you have somewhere else to be?"
He gulps down.
"Oh, look at them. Didn't I tell you so?" Elvira laughs.
"I thought so too!" Oscar argues.
The woman just gives him a glare. "Yet who came up with it first?"
"Fine, wife wins this round" he slumps on his chair. Then looks at Pedro, pointing her. "You can't win with this one"
She ignores him, leaning forward, elbows propped in the table.
"So, did you two-"
Pedro's cheeks burn. "I'm not gonna share that-"
"-Talk" she finishes, "but now I'm curious to know what you aren't meant to share"
"Secundo eso" Oscar chimes in. (I second that)
"I need to go, really" he insists, thinking of you. On your bathroom, propping yourself in the mirror, starring and smiling too much at your reflection.
"I get it, time's precious" his friend coincides. "You aren't getting any younger dude"
This is his banter with Oscar, all playful no damage meant. But his stomach sinks.
In a way, he's right, and some of the doubts that held him back come crawling and settling on his head. They whisper until their words cut deep and find home in the darkest corners of his mind, feeding from the shadows.
A young couple passes by him. He hadn't even registered he'd stood up until the perfume of the woman, fruity, wafts into his circle. Until the man's voice and laughter is clear, full of life and less burden of the years passed by. They look so good together, and then she leans in to whisper to him, looking at Pedro. The man turns around, smiling but then looking at her, lastly at the exit doors. And they're gone. Maybe they recognized him, but right now, it feels like the universe has sent him a message.
A cruel unwarranted blow of reality.
(Aching joints meeting your brand new. The coloring of his hair that hadn't started in yours. The rough of his skin against the soft of your own. The wrinkles you had of laughter and expression opposed to those he simply had because of time. His soft planes compared to your rigid body. The size difference. The age gap. That was his reality and it fucking sucked)
His phone chimes in on cue.
Thank you for tonight. That was amazing
Pedro smiles, sadly so, as he types an answer.
It was
In past. Fitting for an ending. A goodbye.
The key burns still. But he doesn't take it out, not even when the shorts drop somewhere on the pile of clothes on his room's couch. He just falls in bed, burying his face into the pillow until the pushing force of guilt and feelings lull him to sleep.
On the other side of the hotel, moon shines it's light into an empty room, waiting bed cold with deception, many questions asked to the silence, not sure if you want the answers.
You should always trust your intuition.
It didn't fail you when you decided to leave your country behind, despite the failure, homesickness and loneliness gnawing at your heartstrings season to season.
Now? You were about to star in one of Netflix's original romcoms, and while to others it may seem small, to you, this leap in your career from background roles to lead meant everything.
It also didn't fail you when it came to Pedro. Whom you caught his first stare across the room, holding it dearly to your heart like the night you met. The age gap, different stages in life, work... all of it blurred to the sound of his low laugh and voice.
I think you're the prettiest sight I've seen in a while.
You loved being right. You hated not being proved wrong now.
For the rest of the vacation, is like Pedro did a whole switch: he made it his mission to act like nothing happened, like you hadn't happened.
Maybe, the thrill or vacation release was what he wanted, and the hoping was only on your side. The deep connection you'd nurtured for months was gone in seconds, taken away from you before you even learned what loving was.
He was commited, you have to give him that. Even on the plane, in such reduced space, he managed to remain quiet, not even batting an eye at Oscar and Elvira's questioning stares. They were probably as confused as you.
It all stayed back in the island: the sound of waves, sand in your feet and the hot sun of stolen stares and whispers lost in the humid night. The hard of the wall pressed against your back. The moonlight over the sea as he said Us. And how he tasted, like the wine and cheese he glazed his pasta with. In every cup and serving, he will be now, not like you wanted but like a ghost. Haunting.
It was over.
So were your days working for Elvira, who had become sort of a mother figure to you, especially after being away from yours. In this new stage of life, being an assistant just didn't fit into your schedule anymore, and as grateful as you were to have met them―what the family did for you―, it was time to go.
This meant you'd still keep in touch, though. Still, the chances of seeing Pedro again were low, and you have yet to decide if that was good or bad, because what made you feel giddy had turned to dread.
Despite it all, you forced yourself to remain positive. Shooting for your role was about to begin and you weren't going to let a man ruin it. You hadn't let this things hurt before, why should they now?
Pedro was different.
If for fleeting time had your paths converged, you're aware you'll remember those weeks for the rest of your life. You know it by the way your digits twitch with need, his number ingrained into your mind due to the hours spent thinking about it. You called your parents all the time, as usual yet felt guilty because now, Pedro was the first person on your mind.
He was the one you wanted to speak. Talk about your day on set. For him to go through your lines with you, like he had done before your audition. Take this, and he gave you one of his hoodies that day, the Carrie one. I'll be there, Pedro said. Now you won't feel alone. You wish you kept it, just to remember his smell, gone weeks ago of your house, last reminder he once lived in here like it was his real home.
You hated driving across his house, not daring to step a foot inside. How leaves turned from green to yellow, the orange spicy cinnamon air of November's autumn welcoming your still broken heart. How the premiere for his series was around the corner, days away, and you kept staring at the phone for too long. To congratulate him. Ask how he's been. If he's nervous. If you'll watch the first episode together.
"Hey, y/n" you raise your head from your phone, fingers hovering over his contact, yet again. You turn it off, embarrased. "Got any plans for later?"
It's your co-star, Jordan Fisher. You both share a passion for dancing, something you do a lot in this movie, Work It. It had been fun so far, and you've met the two leads, him and Sabrina Carpenter, spending much more time with the latter as you play her bestfriend. While not being the main role, you would treasure this experience forever.
"Um, I don't think so" you answer, smiling. "Why?"
"I was going to grab some drinks in this café nearby. Want to come?"
You look at your phone, then at him. You tell yourself this is okay, even if a part of you is screaming in betrayal.
No, you deserve to be happy. To go out and not think about Pedro at all. Enough moping around when no one is looking. Enough of forbidding yourself from moving on, holding onto heartache like it's a crown or a badge to wear with honor.
"Sure" you stand up, throwing your phone inside your bag. For the first time, you truly smile and don't think about Pedro and the summer sorrow. "A coffee right now sounds perfect"
Pedro has been miserable.
Ever since you came back from your trip, the distance got even bigger. Not louder, quieter: long gone the loud laughter and endless conversations. You didn't question him, just gave him those eyes full of grief, pain and confusion he hated. He avoided your stare, knowing he would cave in the moment he gazed back. So you respected his silence and distance, helped the breach grow bigger. Pedro doesn't know what hurts the most: that you stopped trying because you respected his boundaries that much, without a question, or that you had given up on him that easily.
He's currently sat on his living room, some movie playing in the background as he scrolls through his phone. He never thought he'd be one of those people, but once the bad habit started, he couldn't quit it. You'd chastise him: Look at you, trying to fit in with the youngsters and our bad etiquette. Your voice was light, teasing, but now he's reimagining it with a cruel light to it, laced with mockery. Not joking with him. At him.
His phone chimes in. It's a text from Oscar.
Pedro. Have you seen this?
Three dots. Erased. Then again. Finally, he gives up and just sends a link.
Jordan Fisher And his Co-Star, Y/n L/n, More Than Friends?
He turns off the phone, unable to see more. His breathing turns frantic, lungs burning with each breath he takes.
Pedro turns it on again, like he wants to punish himself in a way. His fingers presses over the blue text, the article showing up in no time on his screen. If the title hurt him enough, the picture below kills him.
That smile he misses, again seen through a screen, as the one's he's captured and keeps on his phone, seeing them when it's late at night and the pain of your absence becomes unbearable. But he's not the reason why you smile. It's him: young and handsome, coffee in hand with the same logo as yours.
Did he know you preferred brown sugar just because you liked the color? It's my favorite color, while looking at his eyes. Does Jordan know you always buy extra whipped cream when you order it cold? How does he know what to say to make you laugh the way only he knew: eyes crinkled, corners wrinkled and that loud sound that lit up a room? It was his, in a way, a trophy as important as any award the industry could give him. But now he's staring at it through an article, a young man by your side.
You look good. Beautiful. A dark part of him wishes you weren't doing well, that it's just a facade, like him. That deep down, you can't sleep at night thinking of him, and when you close your eyes, he's the last thing you think of and the one you dream of.
He wants you to mourn this fight that went down with cold acceptance. For you to feel the same tug at your heartstrings when you look around you, because for him, you're everywhere: in every corner of his house and life, haunted by the brushstrokes your colors painted on his life. But now the paint has dried, cracked, and he's selfishly wishing you haven't moved on. That you think of him as much as he thinks of the sand, your moans and your sweet taste. Of being so close to paradise and letting you go.
That you're hurting just means it mattered to you, yet now, with the smile mocking him on his face, he thinks you never cared.
Worst part is he deserves it. He was the one who pushed you away.
His fingers hover over his phone. No, it's not the right time. It never feels like it is, regret washing away with cowardice his chances. He's dialing other number. It takes a while for the line to pick up.
"I was waiting for your call"
Pedro rolls his eyes. "Very funny"
Oscar scoffs. "I wasn't trying to be"
"Why'd send me that?" he's asking, knot on his stomach.
"Why do you think?" voice stern, acompanied by a matter-of-fact tone. "Usa la cabeza" (use your head)
"To torture me?"
He only laughs. "So you can do something about it"
And the only thing he did was grab the closest bottle and drink until the tears of his amber eyes melted within the mirroring liquid, world reduced to a quiet blur of ringing ears and broken heart on his lonely bed, missing your smell and how it dipped under your shared weight.
Grief turned to anger fast. A fury that went in burning circles of regret and helplessness.
How could you?
Why hadn't you fight more for...
How could he even call you both?
(Call it what you want, you said)
No. He had no right being mad.
But, was he that easy to forget?
Anger makes his face hot with embarrassement and rage. His fists turn white, curling and uncurling. His hair is a mess and he knows every breath he takes now reeks of whiskey. What he doesn't know is how he ends up in front of your house after months of not being able to even call you on the phone, same white knucles now relaxed into a bright pink that matches with the drunken blush of his face, falling into the peaceful familiarity of coming home, all pain gone for a fleeting moment as soon as he senses the faint smell of your plants in the porch. Daises are my favorite, the entrance to your house filled with them. He gave you one for your birthday last year.
"Pedro?"
Had he already knocked your door? He stares at his trecherous hand. Pedro doesn't even know what to say, his name called by you sinking into his chest.
Despite his slurred senses, he can see you: your soft hair, still damp from the shower. The roses and milk aroma on your skin he so dearly missed. The way the loose t-shirt hangs from your body, paired with your Cherry Blossom socks with Van Gogh's painting on their pattern. Your bare legs make him dizzy, as if the alcohol had not done enough damage to his balance already.
"Pedro" you repeat, "what are you doing here?"
Good question. He doesn't even know the answer.
(Or maybe he does, but damn, isn't he a fucking coward?)
"Are you with him?"
"What?"
"That guy" he tries explaining, his own voice sounding distant to himself. "Are you dating?"
You laugh, coldly. He takes a step back, like you've landed a blow across his face.
"What makes you think you have the right to show up at my door after months of ignoring me to ask that?" you lean on the doorframe, dismissive, but he feels you're blocking the entrance. Blocking him out of your life. "It's none of your bussiness"
"Y-you can't be with him"
Weak. Like a fucking beggar.
"I beg your pardon? Jesus, the nerve that you have-" you throw your hands in the air, a thing you do when you lose your temper, which is frequent to happen. As calculating and driven you were, you weren't a patient woman. "Did you think it was a good idea to come by and tell me what to do? On top of all that, drunk? Fuck, you're a mess"
His shoulders slump down with the weight of shame, running a hand through his messy hair, distressed. He looks up again and examines your features.
They're the same, and he doesn't know why he's relieved, as if you were to change in months. But to be loved is to be changed, and God knows he was scared of finding another version of you behind the door, one without free hair and floral scent: one that didn't belong to him anymore.
"You didn't even call for my birthday" he looks up to you, but you look at the floor, voice breaking. "I knew that's when it was over. For real"
"Y/n-"
God, you missed the way his voice would call you. But the hurt is too much to bear, months of piled up sadness forming a storm: the one you've always been, never a calm sea like the one in front of you when you kissed, but always roaring, each word aiming to hit like thunder.
You had spent so many hours, shrinking in fear under the force of pain, body trying to cry―to release, anything―and live through just another empty night.
He, the reason of your ache, now standing before you, looking as miserable as you feel.
"You need to go"
Final. No room for more to be said. He just hates how determined you are sometimes.
You're closing your door. Shutting him out. He can see the pain on your face, let's himself believe there's a chance as he tries to erase feeling so dumb for succumbing to harmless teasing words of his friend―mixing with previous fears, and the image of you, holding hands with another. Kissing another who gets to taste the flavor of those strawberries you ate so frequently and that of your gloss. To be whole with someone who isn't him.
But it's his fault.
His, his, only his.
He doesn't want to lose you. He can't. Even if love isn't natural for the likes of you and him, he knows it's yours and his.
It can't be over. Can't. He doesn't know nanything like you. Has got nowhere else to go.
"I love you" he tries, desperate.
Your eyes go wide, with surprise, then sadness and finally rage, one that's quiet, simmering and scratching the surface to let wrath go loose.
"You can't love me"
He might as well have already lost you.
"What you did to me" The silence. The betrayal. Closing off. Throwing away in the blink of an eye. Asking why's to a rusted dead line. "Not even a friend would do" your hand grabs the doorknob with ending resolution, but it shakes. With vitriol, tears or uncertainity, he doesn't know. "So don't talk about love like you mean it. You can't just say things like that"
The soft waft of alcohol in your breath. Petricor mixing with the smell of freshly cut grass. Your shy smile and light blush despite the flame of ambition in your eyes. Your words take him back. To the night you met. He would go back and tell himself not to be stupid, not to fuck the best thing on his life.
"Please" like it pains you to say it, "stand up. Don't make this harder"
He's on his knees, begging. For what? It's over. He not even prayed but is willing to sacrilege vows he hadn't taken to keep your love.
"I'm sorry" he buries his face in your thighs. Feels the humid of his tears running and the warmth of your skin combing through his hair. "I'm an idiot"
You chuckle weakly. "I know"
"One" Pedro holds tighter, wretched. "Just one chance"
"P..."
You feel his grip loosen.
"Don't" choked up, "don't say it like a goodbye"
You kneel down to his level, tilting his head with gentle fingers by his chin as he refuses to meet you in the eye.
"At least now you know how it feels" and brush a stray tear away.
"I love you" he repeats. "I'm sorry I didn't know how to deal with it"
You let him continue, hand still on his face, stubble rough, prickling your skin.
"When I found out... This is gonna sound very corny, but that one phrase about not knowing what you've got until you lose it? It's fucking real, baby" he laughs, humorlessly. "The moment I saw those images, all I could think about was our kiss and how I'd never get to kiss you again. How you were there for me, had me like no one before. How we talked for hours, and you listened, bringing things we said sometimes, like trinkets on a box or charms of a necklace. Tiny things and moments that belonged to us. And to think you'd share that connection, that- silence, that only comes when two people understand eachother... It fucking ruined me. I forgot about my fears, our age gap-" he cuts himself off, self-conscious. "All I could think about was saying those three words I've felt since we first spoke on Oscar's garden, but was to afraid to say. Even know. You have no idea how crazy my heart is beating right now" he breaths in, deeply. "I'm sorry for loving you and having no idea how to properly do so"
It takes a while for you to realize he's now cleaning your tears. That you've stayed silent for too long.
"Why?"
"Because you deserve someone better. Someone who isn't too old. One you waste your youth with. Like him" he can't even bring himself to say his name. "You looked so good together. Fitting. No one would say anything, no one would disgrace your name. But I'm selfish, I know. Didn't wanna see you with him. At all. Almost broke my phone screen"
Each word punctuated with a green colored hurt. And that, even in all this blues, makes you feel flustered.
"Pedro" you softly call him. "Look at me"
"I can't-" he whispers, browns elusive. "I'll never forgive myself for hurting you. I wanted you to be as miserable as me, but now that I see it to be true, I hate myself"
"Were you jealous?"
He can't deny it. "Fucking seething"
You laugh. God, he longed for it. Prays for it all to be back to how it used to.
"Happy birthday"
You laugh. "What?"
"Did he tell you that?"
"Jordan?" Pedro nods. "We just met. Shooting isn't over yet"
"Well, happy birthday"
"It was two months ago" you counter.
"Only I get to wish you so" face closer to yours now, whispered words ghosting over your nose.
"Silly" you smile, sheepishly. "Are you the birthday police? You can't decide who gets to congratulate someone on their special day, you little jealous freak"
"But I get to decide this"
He captures your lips in a searing kiss, pouring every ounce of his passion and desperation into it. The unsaid yearning and ache on his tongue. It delves deep, claiming your mouth as it tangles with yours in a dance of hunger and need.
Like a couple of young highschoolers on their mother's porch, breeze flowing by their little town. It smells as home. It's simple. It's real. It's extraordinary. It's just what you wanted.
Love.
"I missed you"
You feel a surge of love and lust at his breathless confession.
"I missed you too"
With rushed steps he takes you to your bed. Your room is still the same. Your picture stands on your nighstand.
"I'm surprised you didn't tear it"
His hands slide down to grip your thighs, pushing them apart.
"I'm surprised you think I would"
Clothes go off with the desperation of two people who have circled around eachother for too long. Your bed feels full, unlike the one of the hotel, where you waited until your tears dried in the pillow.
"Well, you're full of surprises" he adds, voice strained.
Pedro settles himself between your thight, the hard, thick length of him nestling against your slick, heated flesh, groaning into your lips at the feel of you. Warm, soft... Ready for him.
His lips mark a trail down your throat, teeth grazing your collarbone. He licks and nips his way down to your breasts, taking one rosy peak into his mouth. His tongue swirls around the hardened bud.
"Pero sí fui un pendejo" growled against the skin in the middle of your breasts. "Forbid myself of tasting you when you taste so fucking good. Could devour you for hours, baby, and never get enough" (i was such an asshole)
"Please, P. Just quit the fucking talking and make me yours"
A surge of emotion and desire wash over him. He holds your stare, seeing the longing and desperation on your face. This unbridled want, he felt it too.
"Shit, baby" he breathes, voice rough and thick with emotion. "You have no idea how badly I've wanted to do this. To feel you with me, next to me and under me"
You allow yourself to believe in him. In his words and touches, cracking a fire in their wake.
"Then do"
To show just how much he means it, he forces your mouths into a fierce kiss. Pedro pours every ounce of his love, his need, his desperation into it. His tongue delves deep, claiming you. Consuming you. Making you his.
All you've wanted.
"For the record, Jordan and I are just friends"
He reaches down to grip himself, lining the thick, hard length of his cock up with your entrance.
Pedro grunts, feeling the promise of warm tight walls taking his dick.
"I don't care"
He rubs the swollen head through your slick folds, coating himself in your arousal.
"You're not even looking at me" you tease. "He's getting married next year, by the way"
He groans into your mouth at the feel of you, so hot and ready for him.
"I don't care" he repeats.
"Said I could come to the wedding if I wanted to"
Right after the last word you speak, with one powerful thrust of his hips, he buries himself inside you. A broken cry comes out of your mouth, desire coursing through your veins like the most powerful and addictive drug there is ever to exist, only rivaled by him: he, who after years of being his fan, months of friendship, a summer of love and some other months of radio silence filled with unspoken terrifying truths, is finally yours.
"With how much you bring it up, I'd think you're in love with him"
"And by how much you refuse to listen to my words, even as you're buried inside me, I'd think you're jealous"
He hilted himself fully, cock throbbing as it stretches to fill you completely.
"Quit sayin' that, when you know it's the other way around" a broken wail leaves your lips at his girth inside of you, your folds trying to adjust to his size. "Got all giddy with him, at his dumb stories and jokes. But does he know how you like you coffee? No, but I bet you fluttered your eyelashes and laughed like a fucking attention starved brat when he handed you your order. Bet he's a whole gentleman who payed for your order. Probably offered you a ride home, but can't play any of your favorite songs. The ones I know" he throws his head back, a guttural moan tearing from his throat at the exquisite feel of your tight, wet heat enveloping him. "Yet the funniest part is he doesn't know you did all of this for me"
"P-Pedro" you plead, reduced to a moaning mess.
"Tell me you didn't, but we both know how the answer goes" he grabs you by your chin. "Tell me that you were desperate to get a reaction out of me. That you wanted all of my attention. That it's me who you really wanted and not that fucker. Say you did all that little flirty whoring show to make me angry, because guess what? It worked, you desperate slut"
You should be humiliated, but instead, your treacherous brain makes your mouth whine.
"Dirty baby" he whistles, amused. "You're into that? Like me to call out your bullshit, huh? You're a real bad girl"
"I'd call myself resourceful" your voice is strained, "a girl can only do so much for to get her supposed bestfriend who dry humped her last summer to talk to her again"
He laughs, a sound that makes you nostalgic.
"And I take full responsability for that"
"Why don't you fix it the best way you know?"
"Can I get a clue?"
"Shut your mouth and start moving"
He's so compliant is hard to watch and not moan just by his sheer obedience. Surrendering himself to you and your alluring voice clouded with lust. Pedro starts to move, his hips rolling and rocking against yours in a slow, sensual rhythm. He takes his time, savoring every inch of your silky walls as he slid in and out of your depths.
"Fuck, y/n" he pants, voice ragged. "You feel so fucking good, baby. So perfect, so right. Like you were made just for me"
He leans down to nuzzle into your neck, his lips brushing against your ear.
"I love you, y/n" he murmurs the three words again, tone low and intimate.
You tangle your fingers on his hair, pulling him closer for a kiss.
"I love you"
Feels good to put it out there, but maybe he's more excited than you are, given by the goofy grin that takes over his features, eyes shining like the stars on the starry night outside.
His heart soars at your words, and Pedro can't help but kiss you with all the passion and commitment burning inside him, pouring every ounce of his devotion into the press of his lips against yours.
"Three words and you've made me the happiest man on earth, baby"
He thrusts into you harder, driven by the overwhelming feelings on his chest. He wants to mark you, claim you.
"That's it, you naughty little girl. Getting yourself all worked up after your little devilish plan" he grunts. "Gonna make you mine now and fuck you until you can't walk. Until you become a mess. So dumb you can't speak anything but my name"
His hips snap against yours with each powerful surge of his cock, the wet, obscene sound of flesh meeting flesh filling the bedroom.
"Mierda, you'd should be so fucking embarrassed, shouldn't you? Ashamed of opening your legs for a man who could be your father"
He can feel his release building, the hot, tight coil of pleasure winding tighter and tighter in his stomach. You pull him closer, arms around his neck, pulling him off his thoughts.
"I'm not ashamed" you purr in his ear. "In fact, I think it's fucking hot"
"Oh, yeah? Dirty girl likes old men?" he grits his teeth, fighting it off, determined to hold back until you cum first. "Loves to be stuffed up nicely by men old enough to be your daddy? Quit that moaning or I might just give you what you ask"
You whine, receptive to his words.
"That's it, baby. Cum for me. Cum all over my fingers like a dirty little girl. I want to see your pretty face and hear your pretty noises. Need to prove if they're better than I imagine as you clench yourself on my cock"
Pedro lets out a roar of triumph as he feels your pussy spasm around his cock, your scream of ecstasy pushing him over the edge. With a final thrust, he buries himself to the hilt inside your warm cunt, cock pulsing and throbbing as he erupted.
"Take it, baby. Take every last drop of my cum like the hungry whore you are. Let me fill this hungry little pussy like you deserve"
He grunts and shudders as spurt after spurt of his hot, thick seed paint your walls.
"Now I get to show him and any other fucker who you really belong to"
He collapses against you after emptying himself, his weight pressing you into the mattress as he continues to twitch and pulse inside you. Pedro peppers your face with kisses, restless hands roaming over your curves, touching and caressing every inch of you with desire.
"Baby, listen"
His voice is soft with scary twinges laced within as he rolls to the side, pulling you with him so that you were draped across his chest. He wraps his arms around you, holding you close, the silent vow to never letting you go on his strong grip.
"I know I keep making the same mistakes every time" he sighs, his hand stroking your hair. "Yet, it's worth it. The fame, my name, the press... It all reduces to nothing. Because when I look at you, I know at least I did one thing right"
He tilts your chin up, his eyes burning into yours with fierce intensity.
"Then run away with me" you say softly. "Where no one knows who we are"
"We can't" he laughs. "But I'd love to. For you to be mine, forever and always"
"To be with you, I would do anything" you lay on his chest, humming with approval. "I mean it"
"Well" he grabs your hand, "we can't exactly run away, but I have a close idea to it"
"I'm all ears"
He looks deep into your eyes, afraid of his own words.
"We can talk about it more later on but, how about keeping this matter... private?" your body gets goosebumps. "Just you and me. Some friends and our family. Teams too. But it'll be our little secret"
It's the start of something. That something that started on Oscar's birthday when he first called out your name. It was all about falling since then, never quite landing, not knowing what to say. Hiding behind silence the loud thoughts you wanted to shout, words you both couldn't get out, ones to be proud of.
Maybe one day you'd get to do so.
"Something to keep" you add as your way to agree. A promise, to follow him everywhere. To bring him home when he needed. To build something out of what you both feared: with late dinners, kitchen dancing, shared clothes, line reading, fleeting touches, long showers and deep kisses.
You lay again your head on his chest, content and at ease, feeling it go up and down, his heartbeat tranquil and your body soft against his rising and falling tummy. It feels right, like where you should be. Forever and always.
"Like you"
"No, Pedro" you whisper, lazily kissing him as sleep starts to lull you in to the best night you've had in months. "Like us"
It's only getting started.

need that, hamzahthefantastic

pt.1* next
—synopsis. mandy invites you to hangout with some of her friends. christmas vlog vid
notes 🫧: guys i need hamzah bad

— 🐞
you sighed with content as you finally landed on an outfit you liked. it was a plain long sleeve with a pair of loose dark wash jeans, you weren’t sure what everyone else would be wearing so you picked something simple.
your phone buzzed, mandy asking if you were on your way to her house. you sent her a voice message as you threw on your coat and grabbed your keys along with your purse and phone.
mandy had invited you over to hang out with her, martin, and hamzah and his friends, who you knew from 4freakshow.
you'd never met chase and claire before, but you've hung out with martin and hamzah a few times with mandy.
you met her when she was in nursing school, becoming friends after a few awkward encounters. she introduced you to martin and after a while you met hamzah, in person at least, since the two of you already followed each other.
you parked your car outside their house and adjusted your lip gloss in the rearview. you were a little nervous for some reason. maybe it was the fact that you were late, maybe it was the new people you were meeting, or maybe it was the vlog.
you have your own youtube channel but being apart of other people's videos always made you feel a little awkward.
you texted mandy that you arrived and headed for the front door, martin opening it before you could knock.
"someone's a little late" martin joked as he let you inside. "oh my god i forgot you guys went bald. that was a freaking jumpscare." you teased.
mandy came up to give you a hug "i know, they look insane. i did not approve." she said before you were introduced to chase and claire. chase walked up with the camera, focused on you. "hi youtube" you stuck out your tongue.
"now that y/n is finally here, the trio outfit is complete." claire handed you a set of pajamas, matching the ones her and mandy had on. you grinned and complimented the set before hamzah came out from the back hallway.
"oh hey, didn't know you got here already" he dapped you up. "boi yes you did, literally went to the bathroom to fix his hair" claire teased. "oh wait..." chase joined in, making you laugh.
"i don't know why he's got this freaking tuque on anyways. embrace the bald dude, embrace the skin." martin pulled his beanie down and rubbed hamzah's bald head, urging hamzah to push him away.
"yo! he just fucking sniffed me" hamzah laughed, grabbing his beanie from his hand. "we're just cucking the viewers i guess" martin said, leaving everyone just staring at him awkwardly.
"yeah anyways, y/n you could go change in my room" mandy told you. "heh, just be careful what you find in there" martin leaned into a shrug. "dude stop" hamzah flicked his hand over martin's head.
once you were changed, chase made you do a twirl for the camera and you posed before tripping out.
"so how come y/n gets a pajama set, but you said no to me?" martin asked mandy. "cause she's one of the girls and you're not a girl"
"plus nobody told you to wear them freak ass leggings boi" hamzah teased him and you laughed. he looked over at you, taking in the fact that he made you laugh.
hamzah always thought you were really pretty and cool, even back when you first followed each other during the 4freakshow days. you didn't even have a youtube channel back then, only posting random tiktoks he thought were funny.
"alright y'all let's get to baking, i'm hungry" chase said behind the camera before flipping it towards him.
you stood next to hamzah as claire pulled up the recipe on her tiktok and her, mandy, and chase got started on measuring things out.
“you can’t just do it willy nilly style brah, measure it” you told martin as he began pouring sugar into the mix. “sometimes you have to live life on the edge, y/n” martin scoffed.
as you continued baking the cookies, you realized how glad you were that you decided to come. martin and hamzah were always a hoot but you really liked claire and chase too.
“noo it was my legs and he said ‘you’re scratching your ass’” claire defended herself from chase and hamzah’s teasing. “girl no i was right behind you”
“we’re having booty cookies” “we got fucking booty flavor” you and hamzah joked at the same time, causing you to crack up and slap his arm.
you took your hand off, not expecting his bicep to be so strong. he nudged you with his elbow, still laughing.
“so, are you actually gonna help bake, y/n?” chase playfully raised his eyebrow. “right, standing here doing nothing” hamzah added. “oh bitch says you, who’s actually done nothing. mr. nonchalant baldhead.” you joked, grabbing the camera from chase and putting it in hamzah’s face.
“boi get outta here boi” he laughed.
while the cookies baked, you guys moved on to putting up the christmas tree. you sat down with chase and claire and began unfolding the branches of the tree. hamzah followed suit, taking a seat on the floor next to you.
rudy walked up to hamzah, who grabbed him with one hand under his belly and placed him in his lap. “awww rudy, who’s a cutie cootie coo. ah poochy poochy poo” you reached over hamzah’s leg to pet the dog.
you scratched behind his ear, unknowing of hamzah staring at you while you did it. “alright let’s put in some freaking work guys” claire said and hamzah lifted rudy into the couch behind him.
“why do you literally manhandle everything that comes your way?” you teased. “like in the video where you’re flinging around fish” hamzah just chuckled in response.
“wait chase, i like your leggings” claire said from behind the camera. “what these aren’t leggings?”
“i’m just saying i’ve never seen a boy wear leggings, it’s a compliment”
“they’re not leggings, they’re thermals! they’re long johns..long johns?” martin retorted, displaying his leg out in front of the other. “you’re wearing fucking leggings”
you and hamzah stifled your laughs in the corner as they continued and martin teared up, walking off with the camera as a bit. “claire you actually made him cry” you giggled.
you felt hamzah lean himself closer to you, taking advantage of the laughing fit everyone was in.
after a while, the cookies were done as you finished decorating the tree, adding a little christmas bunny along with everyone else’s personalized ornaments.
you turned around to hamzah manspreading on the couch, trying to ignore your thoughts about how sexy it was and followed everyone else into the kitchen.
you all iced the cookies before doing a taste test, “boi crumbl cookie could neverrrr” you joked, as the cookies actually turned out bad. “this shit is way too sweet oh my god” hamzah said, spitting his into the trash. “ew dude have some manners” martin scolded him.
once mandy ended the vlog, you all lounged around her living room until you got a emergency text from your roommate.
“bruh, my roommate messed up something with our dryer. i have to go” you frowned. “awww noooo” chase frowned with you. “it was really nice meeting you” he said. “yeah, you’re funny as fuck” claire added. “oh i love you” you hugged her before getting your coat off the rack.
“im so glad you actually came” mandy said. “well thanks for inviting me” you playfully stuck out your tongue. “i’ll see you next time we hang out in like four to six weeks” you said, sarcastically. “ugh tell me about it” she smiled as you dapped martin.
hamzah came out from the bathroom, “you’re leaving?” he asked. “yeah my roommate needs help” you pressed your lips together. “oh…..it was cool seeing you though” he dapped you up, pulling you into a small hug. “you too” you smiled, holding his hand a little longer before your phone buzzed again.
“anyways merry christmas and happy holidays everyone! byeeeee” you closed the door behind you and head for your car.
