For Fandom Friday I want to recommend A Brother is Wolf's Clothing by @laz-laz-ace-pilot

I just love this fic. The writing is wonderful and Fives' inner thoughts about what's happening are perfect. Definitely worth reading if you're into supernatural/(kind of) horror fics!

Warning, there are some graphic scenes (mostly gore post-attack) and mentions of attempted suicide.

HOLY HELL IN A HANDBASKET, BATMAN. THIS WAS INTENSE. The AU is so interesting and so very well-done. I absolutely agree that Fives's inner dialogue is so intriguing and just add to the intensity and heart-wrenching moments. I absolutely love this entire concept and the creativity that went into it. Completely brilliant. Thanks for the rec!

About Me:

I’ve had quite a few new followers these past few weeks, so I thought I would make a little about me post, just so you all know what you’re getting into.

First off, hello! My name is Madison (she/her), I’m 19 (will be 20 in January which is. . . something I’m not thinking about at the moment), I’m bisexual, extremely liberal (racists, misogynists, homophobes, transphobes, etc. can fuck off and die), and I live in Saskatchewan, Canada. My favourite thing in the world to do is write, and I love to read as well.

I love every movie and TV show (to varying degrees, but nonetheless) but my favourite movies are Endgame, Infinity War, No Way Home, Eternals, Winter Soldier, Captain Marvel, Black Widow, Ragnarok (not necessarily in that order), and my favourite shows are Moon Knight, She-Hulk, Loki, Werewolf by Night, Hawkeye (not necessarily in that order)

I also very casually read Marvel comics (just a few here and there whenever I find some that pique my interest)

DC

Admittedly, not nearly as much as Marvel. There isn’t a lot of emotional attachment. Honestly it’s bordering on contempt at this point, especially after spending money to go see The Flash in theatres

But I love The Batman, Wonder Woman, The Suicide Squad, Peacemaker, the Dark Knight trilogy, Harley Quinn, and Batman (1989). I am cautiously excited for many of their upcoming projects under James Gunn’s leadership

Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is my all-time favourite comic book and honestly just one of my favourite books of all time. It’s truly a beautiful work of art.

Lord of the Rings

I’ve seen all three movies and 2/3 Hobbit movies, and I’ve read Fellowship of the Ring (planning on getting to the other two soon). I also watched and absolutely adored The Rings of Power.

My favourite characters are Éowyn and Aragorn, but I love Merry, Pippin, Legolas, and Gimli too. And Galadriel, Elrond, Durin, Elendil, Miriel, and Halbrand in TRoP

I’m admittedly not the most well-versed in LOTR, but I do really enjoy it.

A Song of Ice and Fire/Game of Thrones:

Don’t even get me started on those goddamn shows. Seasons 7 and 8 of GoT and HoTD infuriate me on a daily basis but goddamn it I love this world so much. Westeros is so important to me

Bad Dreams

Rex wakes up out of a dead sleep, he doesn't know why. He opens his eyes and looks down at himself, Huffing when he realizes that he's transformed in his sleep again. It's only been a few months since it's happened but he has pretty good control over being a Werewolf.

He doesn't understand why he woke up until he hears a quiet whimper, he turns over and see's you, writhing around in your sleep and whimpering, tears falling down your face.

He quickly jumps into action, carefully pulling you into his arms and rocking you back and forth.

"Wake up Cyare, it's okay, it's okay." He shushes you, trying to wake you up without scaring you. You have nightmares often, it's what comes with being a General in the war.

You gasp sharply as he finally managed to wake you, you try to fight him at first, forgetting it's Rex for a minute. Rex holds onto you tight in a hug.

"Hey! Hey, it's okay, it's me Cyar'ika. It's me." You calm down a little once you realize that it's Rex, you break down into tears as you cuddle into Rex's fur.

He nuzzle's the top of your head softly, holding you close and rocking to and fro. He's holding you in his lap, arms wrapped softly around you.

"Shhh, shhh. It's okay." He whispers sweet nothings to you, his voice us deeper than when he's human but it's still just as comforting.

"Do you want to talk about it?" You shake your head no, you can't bring yourself to talk about the horrible nightmare. He continues comforting you, not pushing you to talk.

He knows that you will tell him about it when you're ready, your sobs turn to quiet sniffles and the hiccup hear and there.

"I'm sorry, I woke you up."

"Don't be, I'd rather be woken up than let you go through it alone." You nuzzle into Rex's soft fur, rubbing your fingers through it. A smile cones to your face, you love Rex like this.

When this first happened he thought that you'd hate him, but you let him know that you'd love him no matter what firm he was in. That was before you knew that he could turn back to human, and you've let him know ever since how much you love him like this.

"Are you ready to go back to sleep?" Rex asks quietly, chuckling when he gets an answer in a yawn and your eyes drooping a little. He lays you both down, you on top of him, head on his chest. You let his heart beat sooth you too sleep, as you sink into his fur.

Rex falls asleep a few minutes later, arms wrapped around you softly. You both have happy and peaceful dreams for the rest of the night.
