Menstruation day-3 and I’m struggling with energy. Physical and spiritual. Deciding between pushing myself and resting is not easy. Working when you’re still financially not where you want to be and knowing that if you fuck up, you could be unemployed again… is terrifying. I know I can get employment but I hate it. It’s not dumb of me to say that I wish I could be comfortable. I wish I were as successful as I dream of being. What does that look like? Figuring out boundaries to reduce and be aware of toxic attachment patterns is not easy. How many more people do I cut off when I realize I’m hurting myself? Or when they’re hurting me? Even if it’s not abuse? Knowing that you’re deeply and madly in love with someone (who can’t and won’t care) and feeling so protective that it’s almost primal… is not easy, especially when you’ve already told yourself that pursuing that connection is bad for you (it was) and that you deserve more (you do). And then feeling so upset that your ex/spouse screwed you over the way they did. Ugh - like babe, you helped me wake up but at what cost… and when will you fucking wake up? Coming to terms with your relationship anarchist way of being - and realizing omfg this is how I’ve been operating my whole life - is heartbreaking. I must protect my inner love and energy… because then I can love harder. And I am. And miraculously (not really - I’m actually letting myself be open to this) I’m getting all that love back to me. I deserve so much. I absolutely love the relationships I’m cultivating now - and I know I’m getting more insightful about it all day by day. I’m still in my head about what I have to offer - it would be so easy to start diminishing myself and my needs to do that. I want to just be in the flow - offer what I want, what I can, what feels right, work on connection and collaborative repair, and be. That’s how I want to be in all my relationships: work, home, everywhere.

Show that’s specifically made to be about aromanticism and asexuality as well as how aroace people are perceived by society. They are main characters. That’s the main plot.

2. Heartbreak High

Want a teen show with ace rep? No problem. One of the main characters is ace! Would you look at that! The representation already exists! It's got a ton of other rep too and it's on Netflix but somehow we never got that ace rep yet right? You don't even need subtitles for this one.

3. SkamFr (s12)

Is it a bit too much at times? Ye sure but you know what it also is? Another teen show where the main character is asexual that deals with asexuality as the main theme. And no you don't need to watch all those seasons before to get it.

4. Bojack Horseman

I didn't even watch this one but I'm aware.

5. Cherry Magic

Oh would you look at that a show with main mlm couple where one of the side characters is aroace? I mean surely it hasn't been done before.

6. Run On

You want some casual side character ace rep? Well here you go even kdramas have done it but I guess there just aren't any shows...

The whole "breasts shouldn't be politicized because the primary purpose of breasts is to feed babies!" can be a fine jumping-off point, but I really wish people thought deeper than that when we talk about the ways in which bodies are politicized and restricted.

Like, why's it that when we talk about breasts, they must have some Higher Purpose? It's true that breasts aren't inherently sexual, but they aren't valuable solely because they can potentially feed a baby. A human body doesn't have to serve a Higher Purpose in order for it to not be legislated against or policed, and I just wish people would remember it isn't always about babies, about other people, about anything else other than the people who have that body.

You know what made me really like Wyll? Like put him from "oh he seems nice" to "oh actually he's great?"

He's not sorry about making the pact. Like? Usually when a character does a deal with a devil they're like "Did I do what I had to ... or was I just weak? Should I have done something else? I should have tried harder, been better!"

He's like, no. Fuck that. I know for a fact I did the right thing, and I'd fucking do it again! And yet, you still need to encourage him to break free from Mizora. He doesn't take the initiative, you need to finesse that shit yourself.

He's somehow both meek enough in this pact that he won't even fight against it, but also confident enough that he did the right thing that he doesn't regret it. And it's a really interesting combo, to me, but it makes sense? He's done the right thing, and because he thinks it was the only correct option, every consequence is thus justified in his mind. Yes, he did what he had to, and now he must pay the price he "chose" to pay.

And it ties back to his relationship with his father, because yeah, he's grown up prepared for responsibility, but never felt like he was owed authority. So he will bear the burden, but never expect to reap the rewards. He understands why he was cast out, despite it being a massively cruel thing to do to a kid. Because yeah, of course his dad didn't want to associate with a warlock serving a devil, duh! EXCEPT THAT'S YOUR DAD!! THAT'S YOUR FATHER, WYLL!! HE SHOULD'VE TRUSTED YOU AND CHOSEN YOU OVER HIS POSITION BECAUSE YOU'RE HIS SON!!

i’ll be honest i think we put way too much emphasis on ragging on people for who they’re not attracted to or don’t wanna have sex with than just making sure people are treating people they’re not attracted too with the same level of decency and respect that they give to people they are into. like i think it’s very important to deconstruct why you might not be attracted to fat people, or masculine lesbians, or trans people, or people of races that are not your own, but at the end of the day our brains are weird as hell and we ultimately have very little control over who we end up attracted to. but what you do have control over is how you interact with and treat people that you’re not interested in. this is not even to mention that being attracted to a certain feature doesn’t even necessarily mean that you’re treating those people with respect!!!!

i can only speak to my own identities, but at the end of the day i don’t care if you’re not attracted to me because i’m fat or because i’m trans or because i’m masculine. what i do absolutely care about is that you recognize that just because i’m not your cup of tea, doesn’t mean those qualities are inherently unattractive and doesn’t make me any less deserving of respect and kindness

Man I’ve said it before but for as annoying as Leo can be to Hueso, it’s still abundantly clear that Leo has inadvertently done a lot for the man? Yeah, he’s gotten him into a fair share of hijinks, but at the end of each of those was a long standing problem in Hueso’s life solved just like that.

In particular, Hueso’s exile from the Hidden City and his feud with his brother are both solved through Leo’s intervention, and it’s also sweet that both of these issues’ respective episodes end with Hueso happy.
