(who's gonna save you, hero?)
i love whump fics where tim ends up on the ropes alone and doesn't know if anyone's gonna reach him in time
i really really love leonardo romero's inks and jordie bellaire's colors from the "i am the gun" mini telling the zur-en arrh backstory (in batman issues #128-130), so this is another loose style study
i had this frame in mind specifically, altho i couldnt quite commit to the hard inks
ALSO the concept was loosely based off the issues in legacy ('tec (1940) #698-99) where tim goes undercover and then gets nabbed by lockup and his comm cuts off in the middle of telling nightwing what's going on, which also gave us this great (but misleading) cover

Garrus' interactions with Shepard post-Thessia are so fucking well written. Everyone else is telling Shepard they're sorry or doing a soft sad voice asking if she's okay but Garrus has this moving little speech about how losing a fight isn't the end of the war and I just. He's so fucking good. He knows what Shepard needs to hear and has the experience to back up the things he says. He's so good to her

aw poor swannie :( he must be so confused
For the most part, Swannie is feeling more... numb and tired than confused. There are certainly moments when he's disorientated or doesn't understand what's going on, but he can't really bring himself to care that deeply.
But he does still have his moments. There are occasional bursts of energy from him--
Or, on the other hand, rare moments when he will suddenly go very quiet, very still, very stiff--
The rest of the family quietly thinks of these as "my brother is being fucking possessed by a twelve-year-old child," moments. They may be far from the Lake, but Donatello and Odette's souls are still entwined, and so every now and again, her influence will still rear its head. And yes, in those moments, Swannie is always very confused and very scared.

kuboyasu aren is definitely the type of guy to write a love letter confession, but instead of giving it to the person to read later, he gives it to them and wants to watch them open and read it because he thinks thats the appropriate way to confess. bro couldnt just say it out loud ??

We always make fun of Tim for being Not normal about Kon (and rightfully so) but it overshadows Kon being absolutely not normal back at him
i was going to put a bunch of caps here of "moments kon has been Super Normal about tim" but by the 4th one i was like oh this post is going to get obnoxiously long and changed my mind hksfhjd but like. it is absolutely mutual.
mr kon "hey bro haha your voice gets so deep when you're being authoritative haha" el. guy who goes to bother tim on patrol when he's feeling lost and uncertain. guy who loses his powers and his second choice of who to ask for help learning to fight without powers, after guardian, is "maybe robin" (this idea makes me insane, btw). guy who (with bart) gets So Mad when anyone's being shitty to tim. guy who just likes to pick tim up?? wf3 kon i see you.
and do i even have to mention how fucking bonkers robin!kon is???? like that's before cissie even leaves the team. he's already that insane about tim. okay!
and uh. lest we forget. "you're my robin. always will be."

“In my heart stands a scarecrow, if he’s hurt he doesn’t say so, and he chases everything he loves away
but at night when it’s colder, there’s a bluebird on his shoulder
and he whispers that he’ll hold her one bright day”

has the fam done anything with the lab or swannie's room since he's been gone? do they go in there and dust?
Mikey has a habit of sitting in Donnie's room when he's feeling a bit sad. Leo spends a good deal of time in Donnie's lab trying to dig through his files in an attempt to figure out what he was doing at the lake in the first place. And Splinter fusses over making sure things don't become dusty or sad.
Also-- Donnie does still visit every now and again! It's pretty rare, as Donnie is only 'lucid' enough to consider a field trip maybe once a week to every other week, and while he can leave his lake during the night, it does make him highly anxious and stresses him out a lot. As a result, 'field trips' mean that rather than having a full day with Donnie, they'll usually get a few frantic, high-energy hours before he essentially just... needs to go back to the Lake to lay down and recover.
(But damn, kinda worth it to get to see his Lab again though...)
