now let me preheat my bad english.....

Most of my Lao headcanons (if they are not related to a particular art I made) were yoinked from another ppl, because DAMN FELLAS your brains are sexy. 😏 So you might have heard some of them already, but here's my top general hcs for him.

NOTE: we are talking about the current timeline mk1 Kung Lao

- Lao is very expressive with his hands and he's THE TOUCH person. Just look at how many times he took Raiden by the shoulder in the first chapter alone?? He'll be pushing, and patting, and shoving, and punching you all over while telling about his breakfast or something.

- Lao is struggling with inferiority complex. Since childhood he was under a tremendous amount of pressure, he has to do things right, to be better, or else he would be mocked or punished. Now he believes that he should be the best, or he would not be taken seriously. He's constantly seeking validation in his peers, causing him to act cocky and over-confident.

- Anger issues, usually when someone questions his skill.

- People call him lazy because he tries to act like everything comes naturally to him. In reality he trains hard and takes things seriously. Like, he's fighting with a RAZOR RIMMED HAT fgs, it's not something you can master in a day! Also he always got energy running through his veins, lucky bastard... *cries in iron deficiency*

- He makes his hats by himself. With his hands. He designs and creates. ALL of them. I will die on that hill.

- He's a slow to trust, but ride or die as a friend.

- He's a trouble maker FOR SURE, but not a bully. He's respectful and polite to most of the people (if they don't provoke him), also drinks his respect-women juice.

- Master of sass and sarcasm. And yes, I think he swears, but in the right circumstances or the right company.

- He's got rizz NOW, but in his teens he had zero game because he could not keep his mouth shut and would scare off the person with the most ridiculous piece of idiocy.

- I read it in one fic and really loved the idea that Liu Kang "told the blossoms" about Kung Lao, and they really liked him 🌸 so now they are following him around and bringing him news and gossips, that's why there's always those goddamn petals aroung him aasghGHHHj 🌸🌸

- He's rolling his eyes at Johnny, but they quickly become besties.

- He actually has a cold relationship with Liu Kang. Don't get me wrong, he trusts him, respects the hell out of him and will run into a wall for a man. But I think Liu will distance himself because of all the memories of HIS Lao and how badly they sting. oTL

- That smile and a bow Lao did after loosing to Raiden? He meant that. Loosing hurted BAD, but the pain was pushed aside by the sence of pride and happiness for his best friend.

oh shit, this is getting out of hand, I'm starting to think about the other timelines and dynamics, we'll be here all week hhhhgh

About the popular ships... Well, I'm a big fan of railao (yeah NO SHIT who would have thought), but I am a multishipper, so I'm just happy to see my fav characters feeling good in someone's hands. 😊

I really like the liulao and laoliutana for several different reasons. 👀 The johnshilao (or is it laojohnshi..? erm) was the one that didn't impress me at first (love the Lao just third-wheeling with a tired expression <:'D), but recently I'm starting to warm up to all the different dynamics these three can have. And that is, in no small part, thanks to you and your kenlao agenda 👀💖 damn you created such a nice cozy universe for them I'm 🥺💕💗💖

🍓 - I got into writing fanfiction when I was 13 thanks to three different media. The first one was a book called "El valle de los lobos" ("The valley of the wolves"), by Spain's most famous young adult fantasy author, Laura Gallego. The second, oddly enough, was the show "Lost" (which continues to be my favorite TV show to this day). And the third one was none other than Superstar Saga! 😁

Those three things, combined together, made me write what would eventually be my very first long fanfic, which, luckily, does not exist anymore 😅 Later on, I decided to try and write three different fics, one for each media, and that worked a bit better. The one I remember the most was the one based on Superstar Saga, since that was when the Mario Brothers started to resonate with me. Deep down, I was already feeling the brotherly love between them, so much that it inspired me, and it was thanks to this absolute gem of a game 🥹❤️💚

I've written more fanfics in other periods of my life (2013, when Dream Team came out), and most of it revolves around the Super Mario franchise because of how important it's always been to me. And it's Superstar Saga that I have to thank for igniting the flame for my very first fanfic with these brothers as main characters. Just one more reason to love it with all my heart 🥹 (not that it was necessary though 🤭)

🍄 - Oh, so a headcanon I've never shared, huh? 🤔 Well, there are a few that come to my mind, but I'm gonna keep one of them for my Luigi headcanon post 🤭 So I'll share one about Luaisy! 💚🧡

Luigi is a bookworm. That's something that many people headcanon and I firmly believe it too. He's an avid reader and lives intensely every book he reads. Daisy, on the other hand, prefers more lively activities, such as sports, kart racing or a good video game competition (usually with Mario, since they're both VERY competitive).

However, when she sees Luigi so engrossed in reading, Daisy begins to show some interest on it too. She asks him for book recommendations and reads them so she can discuss them with him, and also because she loves to see his moved and giddy little face when he finds out that she's read a book because of him and, thus, they can fangirl together. She finds him even cuter than usual!

Still, she always prefers to see him reading, totally engaged in the book and reacting to what's happening in the story without even noticing. Daisy loves watching him make faces, and also sneaking up on him and trying to read over his shoulder without him noticing.

But of course Luigi notices (she's not exactly the queen of stealth), so what he does is start reading aloud. Daisy listens to him attentively, but is unable to sit still at all. Whenever in the book there's a kiss or a gesture of affection between the characters, she imitates it immediately: she holds Luigi's face gently to slowly and sweetly kiss him, or intertwines her fingers with his, or caresses his cheek, or hugs him from behind, leaning over the back of the rocking chair (where he usually reads), so that he can continue reading.

Of course, Luigi has a hard time remembering what he was reading after such displays of affection. He shakes like jelly, but he'd be lying if he said he didn't enjoy sharing his passion for reading with his beloved flower princess 😌💚🧡

How long have you been into F1?: a little over 2 years!!! how i managed to get into this sport via an inactive reserve driver i don't know.....

What got you into F1?: several friends were getting into it & were reading mxl fic & things of that nature and even though i wasn't really invested in any of the ships presented i ended up biting as well... but fsr i was not compelled by most f1 content / barely watched dts and instead got reeaaally into feeder series, i think perhaps because at the time i was fascinated by prospect projections + mapping / modeling career trajectories + the idea of "ceilings" in hockey and was watching a ton of jr hockey so it kind of translated over and i got to enjoy masterclasses like litr the most broken broadcast streams ever of kimi driving off into the distance in adac f4. But anyway... i also watched chasing the dream and became obsessed with oscar from that and the rest was history 😌🐨🧡

Do you enjoy Fanfic/RPF?: i definitely read it!!! RPF Is Fine etc. i've written 2 effwon fics very poorly and that's it but i peruse the 814 archives regularly..... i forever need to be better at commenting and feel very bad about my own shyness but i think this fandom has such a wealth of incred authors whom i am always in awe of x__x 🧡 tho i will say i'm also a stickler for the 4th wall and it mildly horrifies me that 814 are 75% public..... also fun fact 814 is my favorite oscar ship but it's only my #3 lando ship LOL. j(e|o)ndo you are so special 2 meee

Oh baby you already know. Antoine so very deeply regrets how he handled things at the end of the 1920s, more specifically damn near every choice he made from when he let Zelda go to England alone to turning down Giorgio’s original offer to buy the farm out West. He’s fully convinced himself that if he had made that jump at the right moment, he could have actually sold the jazz club for some fraction of what it was worth, and they wouldn’t be in such a precarious monetary situation as they are in now.

Y’all just keep this in mind because it will weigh on him forever. It will influence his choices both good and bad. His willingness to talk to Zelda but also sacrifice for her if he thinks it’s what she wants/needs because he’ll regret that forever. My boy simply doesn’t know any other way.

As far as Zelda? I don’t think it’s so much that she’s more forgiving of herself, but that’s she’s worked through some of the mistakes she’s made with Antoine, like ignoring his pain and over relying on him emotionally during the first stages of their relationship when she was generally much more immature. She’s made efforts to counteract that, so I don’t think she sees it as a regret any longer. Now in the future though…. 👀

BNHA S3 EP1 or the Pool Ep

Honestly, I've watched that ep at least 6 times in the last two weeks, just didn't have a chance to pause and talk about it until now lol That post gonna be long again 😭🤣

It's not "that much" of an important episode when you think of it, but it's still one of my favourites. Our cinnamon roll Izuku is just the cutest in this one, being manipulated by Denki & Mineta to use the pool so those pervs can spy on the girls lmao the whole thing is hilarious and cute af - I mean look at this cute baby being all fired up for training! 👇

Our little green bean is so cute and friendly and nice he even texted everyone to come and join them lmao Which is raising so many questions: did everyone in class 1-A share their numbers with each other? Does that mean that Kacchan actually gave it to everyone else, even Deku? Or is Kacchan the only one Izuku didn't text because, you know, fucked up relationship and all that, and it's only because Kirishima got the message that Kacchan came (like his bro definitely has his number and told him about the training)? Or do they all just have a group chat with the whole class so Izuku texted there so everyone, including Kacchan, saw it? I WANT ANSWERS!!!!

But considering the timing of how late Kirishima and Katsuki came to meet with them, I feel like the closest answer is that Kiri got Izuku's text and then texted Katsuki or even went to his house to drag him out or something... Kiri did say that it took him a while to get Katsuki to come, so that's probably it. The thought that Izuku can't even text Kacchan, or didn't even think he could, makes me so sad honestly 😭 (like imagine class A really does have a group chat and those two idiots are in there but never interact with each other's texts and secretly did save each other's numbers but yeah there's no way in hell they'd go and text the other because "Kacchan probably doesn't wanna talk to me", "why the heck should I text the nerd, I'm better than him!" *siiiiiiigh* I want a fic about this now lol)

So our blonde baby IS already growing up, it's subtle but for someone like Katsuki to say that he's lost to Deku, I mean that is fucking big, man. I'm certain Izuku didn't even pick up what that meant here, but progress baby, you've been acknowledged by your person! 🧡💚

As soon as he's there, he's already picking a fight with his baby nerd lmao at this stage, it's established he sees both Deku & Todo as his rivals - Hori is even already setting the tone for the next gen' of UA Big Three since the 3 of them end up being the ones winning each racing rounds and are now facing each other in the final

(Just some appreciation of how fucking hot Katsuki is when he doesn't make his bitch face lmao 🔥🧡 also the fucking V-shape he has, god dammit man!)

General Relationship hcs for Crocodile with a masc reader

First thing to realize with this man is that he is busy. So busy in fact that not seeing him for days at time isn't all that uncommon. That being said, Crocodile would want his s/o to be someone who's independent and capable of taking care of himself. This isn't to say he'd reject someone for being more needy if he truly cared about them, but being self-sufficient is huge plus in his eyes.

Someone who knows how to put their foot down is a must as well. Crocodile has plenty of people at his beck and call. Countless people he pays to do whatever he says. So, while he may not always want it, he does need someone who has his best interests at heart and isn't going to be afraid to speak their mind.

For better or worse, the most common occurrence of arguing between the two of you is probably going to be directed towards his work habits. Being driven and confident, but he doesn't always know his limits and will often overwork himself because of it. Don't be afraid to voice your concerns and tell him it's time for a break. He may grumble and argue that he's too busy to be bothered, but he appreciates your concern deep down. And waking up with his coat suddenly draped over him after having dozed off at his desk during a late night? He'll never admit it, but it makes him feel so warm and fuzzy inside.

Crocodile is someone that doesn't trust others easily and assumes most would betray him if it so suites them. It's how he treats others after all, so why assume they'd behave differently. He's strong and influential enough to not have to worry about it most of the time, but it's always in the back of his mind as well. So earning his trust enough to be in a romantic relationship in the first place is a a feat in and of itself. It's going to be slow going and you'll have to be patient, but just don't give up on him when he inevitably pushes you away or acts distant in the relationship. Showing that you'll stick around and truly want to be with him will go a long way.

I personally think Crocodile would try to keep his personal life outside of work. Having someone he cares about enough to worry over their safety is tough enough, he doesn't need them getting involved with the more seedy characters he works with. So, as far as you're aware, he's genuinely the hero of Alabasta and runs a casino. Ignorance is bliss and you couldn't be prouder of how much the man you love does for others.

If you met through his more illicit dealings though, it's a whole other story. You're the person he trusts most in the whole world and that already goes a long way. With an ability to not only defend yourself, but also kick ass and get shit done, you'll pretty much be guaranteed a While Baroque Works is still up an running, you're definitely the only person other than Robin who knows the true identity of Mr. Zero for the entirety of the operation.

Now, I can think of a few possible scenarios for what happens during the fallout of Alabasta. One is that you manage to escape without being captured. Another is you get captured and sent to Impel Down, whether you were involved in Crocodile's illicit affairs or not because the Marines and World Government just be like that. And the third is your captured but instead of throwing you in Impel Down, the World Government decides to keep you at Marine Headquarters for questioning and the ungodly amount of intel they'd assume you have. So we'll go through those one by one.

Assuming you manage to avoid being captured, relieved is the only way to describe how he feels. Especially if you were in the dark the entire time; you don't deserve to face punishment and being tortured for his actions. That being said, if you aren't someone who's used to having to defend yourself or has much of any combat experience, he's going to be incredibly worried the entire time you're separated. He may not outwardly show it, but the man is so anxious not knowing if you're okay or not. If you escaped and he knows you can fend for yourself he won't be nearly as worried, but you'll still be weighing on his heavily.

If you didn't escape and got sent to Impel Down with him and the other agents of Baroque Works, you can sure as hell bet you're getting broken out either through somehow ending up Luffy's party before they're confronted by Magellan or Crocodile also seeking you out when he grabs Daz. Either way, you're being with them is going to be a condition for him to help Luffy break out. Iva will absolutely tease him about having gone soft for someone because of it. But you don't mind too much, it's just affirmation of how much he truly cares about you.

And if you got captured and taken to Marineford to be questioned? All the more reason to go with Luffy. Saving Ace? Sure, whatever. His main priority the entire time will be locating you and woe be the fool who's idiotic enough to stand between him and the man he loves.

The big hurdle to overcome will be if you didn't know about everything before Luffy showed up. Because you sure do now and there's going to be a lot of betrayal and baggage attached to this discovery. Even if you're being held for questioning and he shows up to save you, do you even want to go with him at this point? Everything about your previous life was a lie and how do you know that won't just continue? How do you even know if the man you've known and loved these past years wasn't just a lie as well?

The hurt and distrust in your eyes when you come face to face for the first time after everything is enough to make him freeze on the spot. And the way you flinch away, as if your scared he may hurt you now that you know everything? Well that absolutely shatters his heart.

Whether you choose to stay with him or not, he'll still search you out or save you from where ever the marines are keeping you. Again, it's not your fault all of this happened and he feels he at least owes you the respect of an explanation and apology for all he's put you though.

Today’s the day. I’m going to ask Y/N’s father for his permission to marry her. We haven’t been together for very long, but there’s no doubt in my mind that she’s the one! I’ve met all her family, and they seem to like me just fine. Her dad is a different story. He doesn’t like my career choice; he says he doesn’t understand it. He’s been vocal about his dislike for the way I dress and my longer hair, and our opinions and views on things don’t always match up. There is one thing we do have in common though, and that’s our love we have for Y/N. 

After sitting in my truck for the last 15 minutes trying to calm my racing heart, I finally put one foot in front of the other and knocked on the front door. Y/N’s mother opened it and greeted me with a smile and a hug. I handed her the wildflowers I had picked on my way over as I crossed the threshold. 

I had called her a few days ago to let her in on my plan and she was thrilled! My ear is still ringing a little from the loud shriek she let out. “It’s good to see you, sweetie! Y/N’s dad is about to come in from the fields for lunch if you want to wait with me in the kitchen. I can fix you something to eat too, get you a beer to calm your nerves? Maybe something stronger? I’ll even have one with you!” Y/N’s mother seemed just as nervous as I was with the way she was rambling, but I still appreciated her kindness. She’s who Y/N gets her loving and caring nature from. “I’ll take you up on that beer. Thanks,” I smiled. She opened the two beers and clinked her bottle to mine before we each took a swig. 

Sitting and waiting for Y/N’s father was tortuous as the minutes ticked on. I was fidgeting on the barstool and my palms were sweaty. I kept going over what I wanted to say to him in my head while trying to maintain small talk with Y/N’s mother. She gave her best effort trying to soothe my nerves, her words of comfort were making me feel better, “Now I know Y/N’s father can be a bit of a hard ass, but I also know he just wants what’s best for his little girl. I see the way you and Y/N look at each other, how she lights up whenever you walk into a room. She’s completely smitten with you Adam! I’ve never seen her happier than she is with you,” I can’t hide my stupid grin, even when I try to by pressing my beer bottle against my lips. I’ve got it so bad for this girl.

Our casual conversation came to a halt when the back door opened and the sound of heavy boots hitting the floor echoed through the small hallway leading to the kitchen. “Somethin’ sure smells good in here,” Y/N’s father called out. The slight smile he had on his face when he looked at his wife quickly faded when he noticed me sitting at the counter. Y/N’s mother cleared her throat, breaking the silence that had suddenly fallen around the 3 of us, “Hi honey! Your lunch is ready, want me to get it for you? Adam here wanted to have a little chat with you too. He was just telling me all about this week’s wrestling show, weren’t you sweetie?” I smiled and nodded in her direction; my mouth now felt as dry as a desert. With a low groan, Y/N’s father spoke up, “Well, come on son. I don’t have all day; the fields still need tending to and I didn’t set aside much time for a lunch break. Let me wash up real quick and I’ll meet you in the living room,”

The ticking coming from the clock on the mantel was deafening while I sat and twiddled my thumbs on the couch. I practically jumped out of my skin when Y/N’s father made his presence known suddenly, “Let’s get things going, son. What’s on your mind that’s so important you felt the need to interrupt a hard-workin’ man’s lunchtime?” From his tone and the way he plopped down in his favorite recliner, I could already tell he was in no mood for small talk or beating around the bush. Y/N’s father seemed to be lost in thought, or possibly avoiding the topic at hand. The stillness in the room threatened to make me insane, but I wasn’t quite sure how to navigate this conversation. I said the first thing that popped in my head next, “Sir, I know you don’t like me much, but I am a good man. I can’t imagine how hard it is to give permission to someone who wants to take something that means the whole world to you away. I work hard and I’m good at what I do. I’m an honorable man and I will strive every day to be everything your daughter needs. I support her dreams, the vision she has for her future. She’s all I’ve ever wanted in a spouse, a best friend. I can’t promise that things will always be easy, but I promise to love her enough for the both of us,”

The man continued to sit in the chair, stiff as a board. I’m convinced he was enjoying making me squirm while I waited for him to show any kind of life. I was just about to excuse myself to leave, but when he eventually spoke up, his words stopped me in my tracks. “Are you sure you’re not proposin’ to me son? Them’s some romantic words you just said to me. You’re shit outta luck if you are cause’ I’ve been happily married for 40 years,” his tone and expression unreadable. “Excuse me?” I asked full of confusion. The laugh he let out came from deep in his belly and only continued to grow as he took in the dumbfounded look I had on my face. When he caught his breath, he decided to put an end to my suffering, “I’m just yanking your chain boy! You’ll have to forgive me for my piss poor joke. It’s not every day I have someone askin’ me for my daughter’s hand in marriage,” He pushed the leg rest down and stood up, still chuckling to himself as he walked over to me. I joined in, laughing nervously as I rose to my feet too. “Before you go on and say somethin’ else, I have somethin’ I want to say too,” he explained. I nodded my head, looking him in the same rich brown eyes that Y/N has and let him say his peace. “I know I give you heck whenever you’re around. It’s just the way this old stubborn farmer is I suppose. You can ask my wife, she’ll confirm just how stubborn and set in my ways I am,”

“I know that’s right!” Y/N’s mother called out from nearby. We both shared a genuine laugh at his expense before he continued, “Y/N is my baby girl, my pride and joy. We’ve had a special bond ever since she was little and sometimes it’s hard for this old man to accept that she’s not so little anymore. I know you’re a good man, son and I know she loves you just as much as you do her. I guess what I’m gettin’ at is, I’ll give you my blessing, but I have a couple of conditions,” His face went back to serious which made me swallow hard and shift on my feet a little bit, but at this point I was about to agree to whatever this man wanted as long as it meant I could marry Y/N. “Okay, sure. What are your conditions?”

“One is, you’re gonna have to explain this wrestling stuff to me again. Help me understand what exactly it is you do. Two is, you’ll talk to Y/N and her mother and convince them to let me wear my boots with whatever get up they’re gonna want me to wear to the wedding. There ain’t no way I’m cramming these size 13’s in a pair of dress shoes,” The relief I felt when he smiled a genuine smile was immediate. All tension felt like it had left the room, and it was as if a new leaf had been turned. I returned his smile, grinning from ear to ear when my brain finally registered what he just said. My words rushed out as happiness washed over me, “Yes sir! I think that can be arranged. You’ve got yourself a deal,”

I extended my hand to him, and he gripped it firmly, shaking it swiftly before pulling me in for a hug. “Well, it’s settled then. I give you my blessing to ask Y/N to marry you. Looks like there’s gonna be a wedding soon!” he sang. Y/N’s mother clapped and cheered as she entered the room, her eyes glossed over with happiness as she embraced me tightly for the second time today. “Oh honey, I’m so happy for you two! Y/N is gonna make the most beautiful bride, and you’ll be the most handsome groom! Oh! Show me the ring sweetie! Please tell me you brought the ring with you!” the excitement in her mother’s voice was contagious, it made Y/N’s father and I laugh at her very animated antics. “It’s uh, actually out in my truck but I’d be happy to go and get it,” I offered. Before she could answer, Y/N’s father spoke up for the last time of the day, “And that son is my cue to get back to the fields. I trust you’ll let us know when you’re planning on popping the question,” “Of course, sir. I’ll keep you guys in the loop,” With a pat on my shoulder and a nod, he made his way back to the kitchen and out the back door. I knew it wouldn’t be long before Y/N would be arriving since she had promised to help her mother with some of the farm chores, so I rushed out to my truck and grabbed the ring box. I opened it and the small diamond sparkled in the sun, causing me to grin at the thought of it doing the same thing once I slide it on my future bride’s finger. When I was finally able to make my leave, I smiled like an idiot the entire drive home. I started to picture Y/N in a fancy white dress walking down the aisle, right to me. I don’t know what I ever did in life to deserve an angel like her, but I’m so damn lucky she’s mine.

12. Do they have a difficult time when separated from each other, or are they fairly independent?

This is a difficult question to answer, because honestly I don't think they'd have been apart much in the months before Yoichi got bodied :') So it's hard to know whether they'd have been anxious apart or nor, but just going on vibes and desire I'm gonna say no.

Mostly because I think Kudo would be fairly well-adjusted to being alone, and unlike AFO I like him to have an inherent trust in Yoichi and his ability to take care of himself, so he's not anxious when Yoichi is out by himself nor is Kudo anxious when he himself is out on his own because why would he be? Yoichi is much the same in that he trusts Kudo to take care of himself, and also knows that his hero will come to rescue him if he calls :)

Ironically since their love is more pure they have a far easier time being independent. That doesn't mean they don't miss each other when they're gone though (⁠╥⁠﹏⁠╥⁠)

18. How do they care for each other when one of them is wounded/sick?

INTERESTING because Yoichi is probably used to being the one cared for, right? Since his immune system is so bad and his body so frail? But I also think that would make him the BEST nurse, because he'd know very well what actually helps when Kudo is sick and what won't help much at all, so he can take care of him and help him get better without Kudo feeling smothered.

On the other hand—a Yoichi freshly out of the vault probably hates being doted on when he's sick. He doesn't want to be touched, to be talked to, to be looked at, he will fucking FIGHT you if you come near him with food when he's nauseous and ill. So Kudo likely doesn't get much of a chance to play nurse, unfortunately :') He just leaves water and protein shakes by the door of whatever room Yoichi has locked himself in this time to sweat out his fever.

Wounded though? Yoichi loves when Kudo is the one taking care of his injuries, because his touch is so so gentle. Hands he's seen do many, many painful things, hands that he's seen assemble and wield weapons with a soldier's grace becoming so soft and kind when he places them on Yoichi's skin. Kudo always kisses his hand afterward, always says "I know, mi tsukai, I know" when Yoichi hisses in pain, and Yoichi melts every time. Better than morphine, on God 🙏

28. Who’s the better chef? Do they cook for the other?

Yoichi! Yoichi had to learn to cook very early on—street rat problems smh—and as his brother brought home more and more lavish ingredients he got to be really good at it. He and Bruce Third are usually in the kitchen making food if you can't find them anywhere else in the compound.

Kudo cannot cook worth a shit though. That man burns water 😔

ohhh, that's a good question 👀 there might be a scene like this in the future for "The Way You Claim Me" but I can give you a little bit of insight on how sukuna might feel in that moment 😌

sukuna comes across as unbothered, but he is extremely overprotective over the reader. that side of him comes out in certain moments and it's a natural response that catches him off guard because...why does he care so much?

I do allude to this a few times that she's one of the only people who keeps a level head around him, and is also one of the only people who isn't terrifed/repulsed by him - so to see her emotional or detached will shock him.

like, in my last sukuna drabble he gives the reader that ultimatum not because he wants to hurt her, but because he doesn't know how else to deal with her emotions towards him and thinks he can almost force his way into getting her back to normal.

which is also why I think if he catches the reader having a break down, he'll be very uncertain on how to approach her...but the man will instantly melt on the inside. he'll feel a discomfort in his chest that is so unfamiliar it agitates him. even though he's terrible at articulating it, he's completely devoted to the reader and that's how I like to portray his love towards her. he's not the kind of person who would grovel, apologize, or whisper sweet words to console them - but he wouldn't be able to stand seeing her in so much pain.

his reaction to me would be the smallest gesture but it carries so much meaning; he would very gently approach the reader, circling his arms around her, pulling her close to his chest, softly rubbing her lower back until he can feel her relax in his arms...and she won't be able to believe that he's just standing there holding her in such a tender embrace. he'll stay like that until she calms down, before asking in a very relaxed voice if this feels better. when she looks up at him he'll wipe away any leftover tears and kiss her on the forehead and her cheeks.

if anybody else was the reason behind that reaction, he would put an end to that problem within seconds. it won't be long before the people around you realize that crossing you meant knocking at death's door.

however, if he was the reason behind it, then it would be the only time he would ever consider himself a vile being. he wouldn't be able to stop thinking about how he hurt you - and it eats him up from the inside out but he would be really good at hiding his guilt.

even though they both naturally just bicker with each other, sukuna would approach serious arguments quite cautiously after this because he won't be able to stand seeing you break like that again. he would find himself asking: "what do you need?" if your upset with him because it'll be the only way for him to know exactly what he can provide just to make you smile again 🥺

A - Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)

Tungst is extremely affectionate, to the point where it could become annoying. If he’s out with his partner, he definitely wants them to sit on his lap. Then he can wrap his arms around their stomach and press kisses against their neck whenever he feels like it. His love language is physical touch, so any point of contact works for him. He just wants to touch his partner as much as possible and be touched in return. He loves holding hands, playing with his partner’s hair, smacking their butt as they walk by, or just a random kiss.

B - Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)

I feel like Tungst would be friends with Fives and Jesse. He’s such a flirt, and I could see them meeting at 79’s, sharing a couple of drinks, and then getting absolutely wild together. They would woo all of the lady’s at the bar, dare each other to do stupid things, and then drunkenly walk back to the barracks together. Tungst is a friend that anyone would want in their corner. His passion and zeal are unmatched, and he gets super protective of the ones he cares about. 

C - Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)

Tungst loves cuddles. It brings together his two favorite things, his bed and his partner. If he could lie in bed all day and cuddle his partner he would. He wants to be the big spoon as much as possible, but wouldn’t mind if his partner wanted to hold him instead. He also enjoys cuddles with kisses, so his partner should always be prepared for both, however, if he’s not careful, it might lead to more.

D - Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)

Tungst has some domestic abilities. I wouldn’t say he’s the best cook, but breakfast in bed is not out of the realm of possibilities for his partner. However, mugs of fresh caf in the morning are definitely something he likes to prepare. Tungst would be eager to settle down with the right partner. He dreams about having a family one day and with the right partner, he thinks he can achieve it.

E - Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)

Tungst does not beat around the bush, and he would break up with his partner in the most chivalrous manner, face to face with an honest conversation. 

F - Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quickly would they want to get married?)

Tungst is 100% committed. It’s part of his personality. He does things all the way or not at all. When he sets his mind to something, he cannot be easily swayed away from it. If his partner ever cheated on him, he would be absolutely devastated. 

G - Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

Tungst is very gentle with his touches and caresses, but his words can come out harsher sounding than he wants them to. However, there’s no maliciousness in his words, he’s just really passionate about the things he talks about and the things he likes. If his partner asks him a question about something he’s passionate about, they better be prepared to sit there and listen to him talk about it for a while. 

H - Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)

Tungst wants all of the hugs. His hugs are gentle, soft, warm, but also strong. Being hugged by Tungst is like being hugged by a warm fluffy blanket that’s just been pulled from the dryer.

Very fast. As previously stated, when he commits, he commits 100%. If he knows he loves someone, he’s not going to waste any time, so he’ll just come out and say it.

J - Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)

Tungst doesn’t get very jealous. He’s a very confident person, and he trusts his partner. If someone is hitting on his partner, he’s more likely to get mad than jealous, especially if his partner is physically uncomfortable with the situation. He’ll walk right up to the situation, put his arm around you, and kindly ask the other person to leave.

K - Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)

To be kissed by Tungst is to be kissed by an angel. His lips are so pillowy soft it will make a person melt and forget everything they are thinking about. Tungst will kiss his partner everywhere, but his favorite places are their lips and their neck. In return, Tungst also enjoys receiving kisses anywhere on his body, but a kiss on his neck right below his earlobe will drive him crazy.

L - Little ones (How are they around children?)

Tungst wants all of the babies. He wants to have kids, and he needs a partner that wants kids too, either by natural means or adoption. Tungst is buir-shaped and would be the absolute best father.

M - Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)

Tungst is not a morning person. He hates the mornings because that means he needs to exit the warm confines of his bed. If he could marry his bed, he would. He just loves to sleep. So, any partner should expect lazy mornings, where getting out of bed is a chore. However, he does enjoy morning cuddles and will spoon his partner until something forces him to leave his bed.

N - Night (How are nights spent with them?)

Nights can go in several directions depending on what he’s in the mood for. A quiet night in with a holo-film and a pizza is probably his favorite way to spend a night. However, if he’s feeling more energized, then a late night at 79’s filled with food, drinks, and dancing is also in his top favorite ways to spend the night. But at the end of any night, he will always curl up next to his partner and cuddle them until they both fall asleep.

O - Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)

Tungst is an open book. He will tell his partner whatever they want to know. THere is no question that’s too private for him to answer. Tungst values openness and honesty in a relationship, and if he wants his partner to be open and honest with him, then he needs to model that first. 

P - Patience (How easily angered are they?)

Considering Tungst is the leader of Phoenix Squad and has to wrangle his “children” on a daily basis, he has the patience of a saint. Every once and a while, they will push his buttons too far and he will snap, but he never becomes violent. He may raise his voice, bang his head against the wall, or scream in a room alone, but he would never hit a soul.

Q - Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)

I would say Tungst is somewhere in the middle. He will remember most of the important things and pick up on a few things his partner says in passing, but he won’t remember everything. He’ll pick up on things like favorite colors, favorite ice cream flavor, and things like that which can also be observed.

R - Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)

The first time he made his partner laugh.

S - Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)

Tungst is extremely protective. This man is a guard dog and he will bite. He would go to the ends of the earth for the ones he loves and there’s nothing he won’t do to protect them. Some say he’s overprotective, but he’s already lost one person he loved and was supposed to protect, and he’ll never be ready to lose another. Tungst is the one that once he knows his partner is safe, he will hug and squeeze them until they can’t breathe. He just needs to feel them safe in his arms.

T - Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)

Tungst tries his best to be everything that his partner needs. If his partner communicates that they want him to do something specific, then he keeps it in his memory. However, he’s not a mind-reader, so his partner needs to make their intentions and wants clear to him. Tungst also likes to surprise his partner with little gifts here and there. He’s mostly a practical gift giver, but he’ll also buy things like flowers or knick-knacks, if that’s something his partner is into collecting. 

U - Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)

Probably just his affinity for being lazy. Again, his bed is his favorite place and if he could sleep all day instead of doing things, he would. That laziness can get him in trouble, and also the reason why there’s a pile of dishes in the sink.

V - Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)

Let’s face it, Tungst is attractive and he knows it. He does keep himself well-groomed and revels in his physical appeal. He washes his hair to help maintain the fluffiness, keeps up with his hair trim schedule, and leaves just enough stubble to keep his ruggedness. He wants to look good for all the ladies.

W - Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)

Tungst is very self-assured. He is a whole person with or without a partner. He knows that his worth comes from who he is and not a relationship. That doesn’t mean he wouldn’t be devastated over a break-up, but it does mean that he’s a very healthy man to be in a relationship with. He knows who he is and he knows who he’s not, and a relationship won’t change that.

X - Xtra (A random headcanon for them.)

Tungst loves cinnamon buns, specifically the ones that Drip makes. He can’t find any that taste as good as Drip’s, so if his partner is either going to need to get the recipe or make a better cinnamon bun than Drip.

Y - Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?)

The man hates lemons. Don’t even bring that fruit near him. He will gag.

Z - Zzz (What is a sleep habit of theirs?)

Tungst is a hot sleeper and will eventually kick all of the covers off of the bed. It’s best for him and his partner to have separate blankets so that he doesn’t accidentally kick his partner off the bed along with the blankets.
