But when ur not out and about Liyue's nature with Qiqi,

U do little odd jobs around Liyue, like dog walking, delivering peoples' medicine, and u even registered w/the Adventurer's Guild so u could take on small commissions :D

U used ur money to buy ingredients to cook food for urself and the household (bc Baizhu cant make anything besides soup and tea apparantly srsly how is this man alive)

And thru a series of trial and error (and consulting Xiangling..)

U made coconut milk!!! ✨️🥥🥛

She's not tall enough to reach the kitchen counters w/o a stool, but she can peek her little head over it and put her fingers on the edge, which she does everytime u make it 😫😫🥺🥺

Shiv’s voice is far too distant in the apartment to be speaking to her, and it’s a term of endearment almost definitely not for Tom, and Karolina feels a small twinge of jealousy at the thought of Shiv on the phone with someone else in her own apartment. Then she hears a meow.

Karolina laughs quietly, choosing to ignore the prospect of being jealous of her own cat, and turns her head toward the noise.

“I know,” Shiv says. “I haven’t seen you in a while.”

Ten days since either of them has seen Shiv, but really, who’s counting?

“Oh yeah?” Shiv says, her voice closer. “You missed me?” Oliver meows again, and Shiv comes into view, cradling him like a baby as she lightly scratches his stomach.

“What’s that? Your mom was so bored with me gone?” Shiv doesn’t look up from Oliver as she approaches the couch. “All she did was answer emails and yell at people on the phone?”

“Is that what he’s saying?” Karolina asks. Shiv ignores her as she sits down, Oliver not moving from her arms as she leans into Karolina’s chest. Karolina wraps an arm over her, petting Oliver as well, his purring loud.

“She didn’t give you your bedtime snack?” Shiv faux gasps. “She’s a terrible mother?”

“Hey,” Karolina says, lightly hitting Shiv’s thigh. “Bedtime snacks are not a real thing, Shiv. He gets enough treats as it is.”

“See how she talks to you like you aren’t even here?” Shiv asks Oliver, who’s currently only invested in the fact that he’s being pet into oblivion.

“Yeah,” Karolina says, “He’s clearly upset.”

“Don’t listen to her,” Shiv says. “Your feelings are valid, Oliver.”

Karolina smiles, nudging her nose into the side of Shiv’s head. Shiv finally looks up then, smiling back as they lock eyes.

“Hi,” Shiv says.

“That’s reserved for my stepson,” Shiv says, and Karolina quirks an eyebrow.
