I’ve been rotating the brain worms I have abt Kakashi in the microwave for 10 minutes too long and I have some thoughts.
Kakashi makes the decision to move out of his family home because it was too much for him both mentally and physically. He then gets an apartment the size of a dorm room. He doesn’t want to fill it up with useless items so he doesn’t keep anything more than what he brought with him, which was a few books, and a picture or two. His time in ANBU really forces him to come to terms with his mortality. One wrong move and he’s gone. He wants to be forgotten quickly and easily, not wanting anyone to go through what he has gone through. The last thing he wants is to burden whoever has to clean his apartment. He still has that mentality after he leaves ANBU. He allows himself to keep his new team picture, Mr Ukki - which he only keeps alive because it gives him something to take care of other than himself - and a few notes from Gai.
He doesn’t really allow himself to heal until after the 4th Shinobi War and he’s a year or so into being Hokage. The world is still on fire, but the threat of war is no longer looming over his head. He starts by learning how to press all the flowers Gai gives him, and then keeping a few pictures Mirai draws for him when he babysits. Letters from people he has helped are placed gently in a box and placed on his now full bookshelves. He collects brightly colored books full of adventure and cheesy romance that begin spill out of the shelves and litter his tables and floor. He keeps more plants than he has windowsills, all the leaves are bright and green. Candid pictures he took on his Sukea Adventures of everyone he loves are plastered on the walls - since his fridge is covered in art work.
His once sterile and suffocating apartment is now full of examples of the life he has shared with the people he cares about. He rests easier at night being surrounded by more happy memories than bad ones.

I always wondered why Katniss factored marriage and children into the equation when it came to reciprocating Peeta’s feelings for her. It’s a rather large leap, especially when Peeta himself never expresses wanting children at any point in the story. He uses children as a tool to persuade Katniss and the Capital to save her life, but the only time we see him express any desire/feelings of having one of his own is when he’s crying after the baby bomb. But we never hear his real thoughts.
But you wanna know who does express wanting children? Gale.
It’s one of the first thing he mentions in chapter one. And it pisses her off so much.
(I also want to add that Gale reframes/establishes the dynamic of Katniss and him caring for their siblings from something that is sibling-sibling to parent-sibling. And he is not wrong. Katniss doesn’t refute him. Both Katniss and Gale are surrogate parents to their siblings. Which is also why Katniss love and affection of Prim, is not just sisterly. I’ve seen people say Katniss is only sisterly to Prim- but she’s not. She’s parentified their relationship to the point she subconsciously see Prim as her child, which makes this a tragedy because she’ll loose her first child no matter what she does by the end of the story.)
But Gale’s phrasing here elevates himself as a potential suitor to Katniss by placing them both as the parental roles to these children. (Which irritates her a lot ). Which is why she brings the topic up with her relationship with Peeta. Because she’s subconsciously aware of Gale’s efforts and knows it will be a point of contention between them. It hangs over her head in a way.
With Gale, children are extra mouths to feed. (But Gale will do fine. He can work. He can hunt.) It’s all framed with calculated survival in mind. But it’s also not something she had planned in the future at any point.
But Peeta’s children? Oh they deserve to be born because Peeta deserves to be a father. He would be such a good father. They deserve to exist in a world where they can be safe and happy. (Even if it’s not with her.)
This is also why I think she subconsciously sees Peeta’s baby as her own. And I don’t think of it as a cruel/heartless thing, it’s just you’d be more protective of your own child compared to someone else’s. Katniss sees Gale as a reliable person who’s equipped to look after a kid. She doesn’t express the same kind of maternal instinct/yearning for the Baby Hawthrone’s safety as she does with the idea of Baby Mellark, because she doesn’t think of Gale’s child as her own. She never hopes for a better future for them, but she does with Peeta because he and that baby gives her hope. And she loves him that much.

Steve begging for Robin to act like she’s buying a dildo for herself even though it’s for Steve - because he’s too nervous to by it - and it would be one the biggest fucking dildo’s Robin has ever set her eyes on.
”Why the hell do you need it to be this big?”
”It’s not that big.”
”Yes, it is, Steve! It’s… like the size of your wrist!”
”… I like big dicks okay!”
After she gags at him and makes Steve pout next to her with a ’you asked, Robin!’, she buys it and makes Steve pay for all of their dinners and give most of their shared tips from work to her for the next seven months.

stobin’s lavender wedding is beautiful and full of tears and love. (it’s a late spring wedding, erica is a bridesmaid, dustin is the best man. he and steve have matching coloured ties, and robin wears an incredible 80s puffy wedding dress). robin’s dad sobs walking her down the aisle, steve’s crying before he even gets to vows, robin starts crying during the vows, and there’s no way dustin’s getting through his speech without tears, let alone the rest of the wedding.
they give each other a little peck, their vows are heartfelt, and from that day they call each other husband and wife. because yeah, it’s not sexual, but that doesn’t matter!! they love each other. they’ve chosen to get married, not just for tax benefits, but because they want to stay at each other’s side for the rest of their lives!! they’re still dedicating their lives to one another. their love being platonic doesn’t make it any less real than anyone else’s.

i do still (occasionally) (also when keith mentions it) think about how noone really interacted with phrygian much outside of their humanoid shape much (room, place, objects etc), and when they did it usually went with a general sense of that being so strange / weird / kind of offputting. and of course part of it is that it's jokes from the cast & saying things like 'i don't want to party inside of you' are just kind of funny, i guess*, and on the other hand (watsonian) i can buy it from the characters who were raised with/under anti-branched propaganda, HOWEVER
Get over it!! Get over it!!!!! Skill‼️ Issue‼️
