synopsis: since eddie joined your friend group, you’ve fallen for him. but sometimes the feelings you’ve harboured for him make you feel guilty—but he’s just too dreamy, so how could anyone blame you?

note: i just had to get this out of my system but i’ll write my next ttpd fic based on the winning things on the polls don’t worry!!

“just so you know, you’re staring at eddie like you wanna fuck him” robin whispered in your ear as she came to your side with extra vcr tapes to stack near the back of the store.

“jesus! am i really?” you asked in a hushed whisper, face crowing warm with embarrassment. you couldn’t help it when eddie just looked so good as he leaned on the front counter talking to steve.

while you mentally face palmed yourself, robin gave your shoulder a reassuring squeeze. “just a little bit”

peeking back over her shoulder at eddie to make sure he wasn’t looking at you (because you’re anxious & paranoid), you let out a breath of relief. “you think he noticed?”

she laughed “i hope not”

letting out a quiet gasp, you shoved robin’s shoulder “thanks for the vote of confidence, rob” you said sarcastically.

“i’m sorry, i’m sorry!—but seriously…” she paused for moment to create dramatic effect. “when are you gonna fess up & tell him how you feel?”

the big question.

with a big sigh, you shook your head in retreat. “probably never. it’s just some stupid crush—& besides, we’re just friends. i don’t know if he’d like me like that, rob.” you said while getting back to work, trying to get the image of eddie’s ring clad hands out of your mind so you could focus.

“is that really how you feel? or is your fear of rejection speaking for you?”

narrowing your eyes at her, you rolled your eyes knowing she was kidding (but was she? were you really hiding behind a guise so you wouldn’t get hurt?).

“you know,” she paused to look at eddie. “if he doesn’t want to jump your bones, i’d be floored” she said cheekily, causing you to nudge her rib cage.

“he doesn’t” you stated, but in your mind you hated the thought of it.

“if that’s what’ll help you sleep at night” she chided before moving onto a different shelf, the open space letting your eyes drift back to eddie, only to find that he was looking right at you.

“you coming to the party by reefer rick’s place on the weekend? i convinced stevie boy here to tag along—“

“—& to be the DD. i don’t know how i got roped into this” steve cut eddie off with an exasperated expression.

with the spotlight (eddie’s eyes) on you, you couldn’t help but feel stuck in place & your mind was running a million miles a minute.

clearing your throat, you nodded. “yeah sure! i should be able to if keith doesn’t make me come in last minute”

the last sentence caused eddie to roll his eyes.

“who cares about what keith says—you’re coming & you’re gonna have fun! you’re deserving of blowing off some steam, right?” eddie said convincingly.

“he’s right! fuck keith & his stupid last minute shift calls“ robin agreed with steve soon following suit.

jokingly with your hands up in surrender, you finally agreed. “maybe you guys are right…”

“of course we are, babe!”

the pet name eddie called you made your stomach flip in six directions, your face growing warm until steve beat you to speak.

“when the hell did ‘babe’ get into your vocabulary, munson?” he asked eddie with a quizzical eye.

“oh calm your tits harrington—“

“hey man, i don’t have tits & i am calm so shut—“

“hey!” you yelled, shutting them both up. “no bickering on my watch, idiots” you pointed to them both, causing eddie to place his right hand in his heart in apology.

“what do you expect,” robin chimed in. “they’re five year olds”

you both laughed a bit at her comment while the guys just rolled their eyes.

“well, i’m gonna head out & prep for my next campaign. butttt, i’ll see you geeks saturday?” he asked while twirling his van keys around his index finger.

before steve could try to rebuttle against eddie about him calling you all “geeks”, you beat him to it.

“yes—we’ll be there! bye eds” you waved sweetly, your hand flattering when eddie shot you a wink before heading out the door.

as the glass door chimed & shut after his departure, you immediately turned to robin.

“he winked at me!” you mouthed to her with excitement.

“are you guys secretly talking without including me, again?”

turning to steve, you gave him an apologetic look. “she was just fawning over how eddie winked at her” robin said with a nonchalant smile, causing you to gasp.

“robin—“

“why do you care if he—wait… ohhh… that makes sense” he lit up like a light bulb, going back to checking through the return log on the computer.

you stood there stumped at his reaction.

“is me liking eddie predictable?” you asked aloud, causing steve & robin to share a glance.

“yes” they said collectively, leaving you to sigh & turn back to the shelf to finish stacking the pile of tapes.

it was now saturday, & you were on speaker phone with robin as you were getting ready for the party.

you had decided to wear a short flowy black skirt, fishnet tights, your favourite black boots, & a dark green babytee with your favourite band on it. it was simple, but cute (& you secretly hoped eddie would think the tights were a nice touch).

“do you think you’ll tell eddie how you feel once you get some liquid courage in you?” she asked genuinely.

with a thoughtful sigh, you stopped applying blush to your right cheek. “gosh, rob—i don’t know. i don’t think it’s a good idea”.

you could tell she was shaking her head from the other side of the phone.

“remember when i was too afraid to tell vicky i liked her?”

you knew what she was gonna say. “yes, i do”

“so, you remember how you told me i should just ‘go for it! do it before it’s too late—what’s the worst that could happen?’, right?”

you slumped in your desk chair, fidgeting with your makeup brush. “yes…”

“sooo, you gotta practice what you preach—tell him before you regret it!” she encouraged, but still, you were horrified to.

“what if—“

she shushed you. “no what ifs. don’t do that to yourself—just be honest when the right moment comes along”

staying silent for a moment, you thought it over in your head before coming to a conclusion.

“maybe you are right, robin”

“i’m always right—regardless of what steve says” her words made you laugh, relieving you of a little stress.

it was now nine-thirty on the dot & you could hear steve’s beamer honking from your driveway, signalling that it’s time to go. as soon as you stepped onto your driveway, you were met with hollers & whistles from your friends in the car—including eddie.

as soon as you saw him with his head out the window, whistling & vocally saying “shit y/n, looking good!”, you could’ve sworn you were going to collapse then & there.

shushing them before their hyper annoyed your neighbours, you (coincidentally) got into the backseat with eddie.

“you have everything?” steve asked before reversing the car.

“yes, dad” you joked before a silver flask was shoved into your lap.

“got you your favourite” eddie told you with a smile, causing you to audibly “awe” & thank him before taking a swing from it.

despite steve having a fancy car, the backseat was surprisingly small, so you knew it was going to be a long night with how your thigh is already pressed into eddie’s & his fingers were tapping his jean clad thigh dangerously close to your exposed one.

you caught him every now & then staring at your tights too, which didn’t help the fantasies brewing in your mind of him taking them off you.

“you excited?” you asked him while steve & robin were caught in their own conversation.

swiping his tongue across his teeth, he looked at you with a gaze that made your stomach tighten. “as long as you stick close by, then yeah i’m excited” he nudged you gently, allowing you a moment to process what he just fucking said.

tucking your hair behind your ears (a sign that you were nervous & liked him & were going insane), you let the conversation drift into comfortable silence as steve turned the radio up.

thank god for that.

the party eddie brought you guys to was packed at some random house on lover’s lake.

& it reeked of pot & beer, which was normal & expected.

with the flask eddie gave you in your right hand & eddie’s hand in your other (because the front lawn was packed & he didn’t want to lose you), your group maneuvered your way inside to disco party lights, sweaty bodies, more pot & more beer.

your grip on eddie’s hand was taut as you continued sliding past more & more people while muttering “excuse me, sorry!” over & over until you guys arrived on the dance floor.

“do you want anything?” eddie leaned down & whispered into your ear so you could hear over the music.

you took a second to answer because of how warm his breath felt against your skin. “no i’m okay, i got this remember?” you said with a smile, holding up the flask he gave you.

returning you a smile, eddie let go of your hand because robin was pulling you to dance a little.

“be back in five!” eddie mouthed to you, holding up five fingers & looking at you until you waved in acknowledgment.

“okay there’s no way he doesn’t want you” robin yelled into your ear as the song changed & people roared happily.

laughing & shaking your head, you disagreed.

“cmon! let’s just dance, yeah? destress!” steve yelled to you both before bopping his head to the music, causing you & robin to look at each other before laughing & join in.

the more songs played & the more you swing back eddie’s flask, you could feel yourself letting loose a little—possibly even making you feel courageous.

so much so that when eddie returned with a red solo cup with some sort of drink, you slung your arm around his middle for a quick hug.

“missed me?” he yelled in your ear.

“just maybe” you replied, feeling his right hand rub your arm up & down before fetching a joint from his pocket.

“missed me more now?” he asked again, laughing when you nodded your head, eyes glassy from the smoke in the room that was building.

“outside?” he yelled again, & you were the only one that agreed.

departing from steve & robin to go smoke, eddie grabbed your hand once again & kept you close as you both made your way to the back porch that outlooked onto the water.

the backyard was still filled with people, especially jocks who were doing dumb keg games, but you didn’t mind. with your back against the siding of the house & eddie in front of you, caging you in, all you saw was him.

& god he looked hot. his hair was a bit frizzy, but his leather jacket managed to showcase his muscular arms & his slightly cropped band tee allowed you to see the happy trail on his abdomen.

it took everything in your power not to fold then & there.

“you want the first hit?” eddie asked as passed you his drink & pulled his lighter out of his pocket.

with a simple nod, you placed the joint between your lipstick covered lips & leaned forward for eddie to light the end of it for you. the action felt extremely intimate & already hand your skin tingling.

with the joint slotted between your fingers, you took a few hits & relished in the buzzed feeling it already gave you. & knowing eddie & is interest in pot, you knew whatever was wrapped within the joint was the good shit.

while you were taking your hits, eddie was reminding himself to not get hard at the thought of your lipstick rubbing off onto the joint or how you looked pretty with smoke exhaling from your mouth—he could feel his pants start to feel the tiniest bit tight at his view of you.

when you handed the joint to him, eddie stood beside you on the wall & took his time (possibly so you could look at him a little longer?).

& you didn’t care because he just looked too perfect with his head tilted up, the veins in his neck showing in the porch light, the joint rested between his ring clad fingers—you could already imagine yourself getting off to this image of him later—but you reminded yourself to stay cool.

everything was fine! you guys were just friends!

“you feeling okay?” eddie asked, turning to you who was already giving him soft doe eyes.

“better than okay” you smiled, leaning your head against his shoulder because you felt too warm under his gaze.

“wanna get off inside?” you heard him ask, causing you to cough & blink for a moment.

“shit—what did you say?” you looked at him, feeling his hand begin to interlock with yours again.

“i asked if you wanna go back inside—you sure you’re good?”

oh god, now you were hearing things.

“y-yeah, good idea” you mumbled as you followed his lead, holding on tight to avoid getting broken apart through the sea of teenagers & college students.

you only broke apart when robin pulled you in for a hug, hearing her say “it felt like you were gone for ages!”

for the rest do the night, you told yourself to he lost in the music rather than thoughts of eddie munson doing nasty things to you, which was going pretty successful until you felt his breath on your neck again.

“wanna dance?”

& how on earth could you say no?!?!

you let him pull you into his arms, his hands firm on your waist while yours were loose around his neck.

with the pot & other alcohol mixing in your system, you felt on top of the world. especially with eddie’s eyes on you. he’d twirl you around in circles & give you room to dance your heart out with him in your grasp & steve & robin would give each other knowing glances about whatever was brewing between you too.

you felt hot, sticky, & tingly all over your skin (not just because eddie was touching you) so you pulled his head down a bit to yell in his ear. “i’m gonna find a washroom!” & he was leading you around the house to find one without a question.

once you both found one of the third floor of this outrageous house, you pulled eddie in with you & turned on the light, thankful there was a dim setting.

“jesus, that was bright!” eddie shielded his eyes, causing you to laugh as you hopped up onto the counter.

exhaling a sigh of relief, you let your head lean back & rest against the mirror while eddie leaned against the closed door.

“do you need me to like, turn around or something…?” he asked, wondering what you were going to do.

“no—i just wanted to go somewhere quieter. less sweaty bodies”

he nodded understandingly before shamefully looking you up & down, telling himself to not get hard at the sight of you so pretty. you were already falling down a rabbit hole of all the things you want to do with him right now, each more dirty than the next—it would be just so easy for him to take off your skirt & unbuckle his pants—wouldn’t it?

but the guilt started to seep in & make you hide your face to groan in annoyance because why on earth were you spiralling like this?

“is something wrong?” he walked to you, holding your wrists & pulling them away to uncover you.

“just going insane is all” you replied, causing you both to laugh until he reached up to wipe off some of your smudged eyeliner from your under eye. he just needed to touch you somehow.

“guess what an old friend told me while i was getting a drink earlier”

you tilted your head in wonder, staring directly at eddie’s lips as he spoke.

“he saw us walk inside & told me that we looked like some couple from a movie—don’t remember which one though…” he ended with a murmur, too focussed on swiping his thumb on your cheek until you spoke up.

“is that a bad thing?” you asked, suddenly feeling small in this washroom with his hand directly on your skin.

eddie was closing in on you now, & you didn’t want it to stop.

you instantly felt sober now. especially with how each swipe on your skin felt like he was making you his—which was definitely an exaggeration but how could you need feel that way when he was holding you so delicately?

shaking his head ‘no’, eddie’s brows furrowed. “of course not—it’s not a bad thing. i-i just thought it was, i dunno, cute—“

“cute?” you questioned softer than him, a smile in the beginning stages of forming on your face.

was this your moment that robin was talking about? you sure hoped so.

“i-i think that’s the right word” he stumbled over his words, feeling your right hand brush some hair out of his face.

“i think so too”

& then there was comfortable silence.

you weren’t sure how to move forward from here. do you tell him all your feelings for him that you’ve keep hidden in a vault at the back of your mind? do you tell him that you’ve been fantasizing about him for weeks? that he’s the only one that makes you feel so many things?

you wish this part was easier.

“would it be, i dunno, uncalled for if i told you that you’ve been driving me crazy?” eddie asked, immediately unlocking said vault inside you.

“are you serious?” you asked, completely sober now as you pulled his hand away from your face & fixed your posture, eyes locked on his for the answer.

“as serious as the dead” his breath hitched, unsure if he made things worse or misread whatever signs you sent, but before he could apologize your hands were already on his face to pull his lips to yours.

it was a messy, top lip & hungry kiss that you’ve been dying to experience since you first laid eyes on him. & god did it felt right, with his tongue meshing with yours & his hands gripping your fishnet covered thighs as he pulled you closer to his body with aching need.

it was the kind of kiss that tried to convey just how you felt about him, the wanting & lusting from afar, the longing glances & lip bites when he made you feel a certain type of way.

it was catastrophic & heavy but sweet with laboured breaths of beer & smudged lipstick.

“holy shit” eddie breathed out against your lips, chasing him for another kiss because it was just that good but you were smiling & clashing your teeth against his & giggling from how silly it all felt.

“that is why i’ve been going insane” you panted against him, hands falling to grip the cotton of his shirt.

“i’m crazy about you eddie. & it’s not the drugs talking, i promise” you swore, scouts honour.

with his forehead pressing against yours & laugh escaping his lips that had little bits of your lipstick, he squeezed your thighs. “i would hope not, ‘cause i’m really crazy about you too”

you closed your eyes now, relishing in the weight lifting off your shoulders & how his touch felt electric. “eddie” you exhaled.

“yeah, sweetheart?” his fingers were pressing different patterns on your thighs to the point where you asked in yourself if he was writing ‘mine’ across the fishnet material.

“can we do this again tomorrow?” you asked, already longing for this feeling to last, praying this wouldn’t be just a one time thing at a party.

“i don’t plan on letting you go anytime soon, so yeah, i think we can make it happen” eddie smirked, kissing you quick before pulling back to see your swollen lips.

“wanna go back to the party & surprise the geeks?”

& with eddie whisking you from the counter, hand on your hip as he lead you back downstairs, you both immediately saw steve & robin jumping up & down happily when they witnessed you two looking like love sick idiots who finally fessed up.

        “Getting to Know The Iudex, Monsieur Neuvillette”

     You knew it was silly, you did, but when you first saw The Iudex Monsieur Neuvillette up close, you couldn't help but fall for his looks. You also knew he wanted to keep the people around him at arm's length, not wanting to be close to anyone, but you wanted to try to at least befriend him.

You first met him during business matters for a person's case, you being the investigator of the case. You were relaying the information to Neuvillette and when you two had a moment of silence to take in the information, you had a chance to take in his features.

He was very handsome and pretty, not that you couldn't see that from where he sits during trials, but with the sun shining through the windows onto his face made it all the more better. You decide to propose that you come over weekly to the Palais Mermonia to keep giving him updates on the case so he can take things into evaluation before the trial — when the culprit is caught of course.

You continue to see each other, the bond between you two deepening, though Neuvillette still kept his distance from you emotionally. The case eventually came to a close, the criminal was found and charged, and the trial was over. You were disheartened and almost gave up as a result, but the Melusines helped Neuvillette open up to you.

When he personally requested you to his office, it was surprising to you. You obliged and did as he asked, and he asked you to be his friend. You happily said yes, and from that point on, you grew even closer with him as you solved more and more cases and came to him to relay more and more information to him about different cases.

He sees how you treated the Melusines and the people so kindly, and you eventually weaseled your way into his heart. Who will confess first is still a mystery, and whether or not Neuvillette will let you in fully is all on him. ✧

Complex Dissociative Disorder refers to dissociative disorders that are characterized by the presence major Identity alterations resulting in the presence of a system. It is used as a catch all for DID, OSDD-1, P-DID, and some presentations of U(S)DD.

You may ask "why specifically CDDs?"

Our answer is we like disability headcanons. If this was a system swag bracket, many of the character submission would be supernatural multiples(e.g. possession). Rather than disability headcanons or characters that have a CDD in canon.

Character Submission

Submission rules (submissions are closed for now)

-They have to be a character. So no celebrities, friends, some guy from down the street, ETC.

-Both characters that have a CDD in canon, and headcanons are allowed -The character does not have to be good representation

-You may submit as many characters as you would like. However if you are not submitting multiple character as being part of the same system, they must be submitted separately.

-If you want to submit characters as being part of the same system they have to be from the same media. Sorry.

-Some degree of supernatural nature of experiences is fine. Particularly if it's considered very normal for the world the character is from.

-Submitting your own OCs is not allowed. You can submit characters are not well-known, but they cannot be made by you.

-Please give actual reasons for why you think the character has a CDD in the explanation section. So no "I don't know just vibes" or "because they are in our system" or anything like that can't be your only reason.

-You do not need to have a CDD yourself to submit a character.

Submission reason:

The mcu/netflix daredevil show was inspired by Man Without Fear, one of the worst DD runs written by Frank Miller that was so bad it got retconned. Thanks to the mcu's popularity, comics are now getting mcu-ified and Matt is one of those cases. In all of Daredevil, a majority of runs showed Matt being non-religious or at least have some aspects of lapsed catholicism. Unfortunately because the netflix show is so popular, chip zdarksy, the current writer for Daredevil, decided to make Matt just like his mcu counterpart except 100x worse. You know how ao3 fanfic writers write characters in such an OOC way that it hurts to read? Zdarsky does exactly like that but worse. He made Matt a caricature of what a catholic person would be. Matt is extremely unlikable in a way that isn't entertaining where he goes around preaching about god 24/7 and calls anyone whose killed someone a murderer especially if they did it by accident. First red flag was when he interacted with Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist. He's interacted with them many times in older runs, knows who they are, knows that they have killed before, and is their lawyer. Here, he learns about them killing (again) and calls them murderers and leaves them. I'm not kidding when I say Matt preaches about God every second because even in his thoughts he's like ""This is God's way"" whenever he goes out as Daredevil, pretty much ignoring the real reasons why he's Daredevil in the first place. He became Daredevil because he wanted justice for his father's murder, simple as that. He knows the law system is flawed and wants to change it and also go against it. Matt being a hypocrite is fun, but in the current run, he's absolutely obnoxious about it. In previous runs, he has hung out with Elektra multiple times with the knowledge that she kills people only for this run, she suddenly isn't trustworthy because she kills people. Matt's characterization has gotten so bad to the point where Daredevil fans joke about him being in his youth pastor era and how the way he preaches about god and uses it as excuses to commit violence comes off as very much crusader colonizer. Daredevil fans like myself are only wishing for Matt to die at this point because the character we've come to love and enjoy reading is no longer there and until a better writer shows up, we have to deal with this version. And this version pushes the whole ""Catholic Matt Murdock"" narrative despite the fact that in a majority of dd comics he isn't religious. It's so bad, just go through breifcasejuice, daresplaining, and xycuro-illuminati's blogs on why this run is terrible.

idk if it'll count as inspiring others bc I am also legit writing this again but I hope it does also inspire others and let this be a lesson kids if you abandon your wip and find it again u can always start again <3

OKAY SO it starts out after Defenders/where dd s3 starts, Matt was crushed under a building, Foggy and Karen, despite having a strained relationship with him, are heartbroken because they still cared about him, he'd still been their friend.

so when Matt washes out with the rubble, like in the canon, instead of the church, he gets Foggy. and naturally I am twisting canon a bit, as I do to more specifically mean, he ends up at Foggy and Marci's apartment door kitted out in full bloody, almost dead, daredevil suit and 3:17am. and Marci sleeps through the doorbell while Foggy grumpily gets the door before realizing it's Matt and the panic sets in.

Once he's got him inside, Foggy insists he's going to a hospital and Matt is, frankly, not in a fit state to disagree, so Foggy wakes up Marci (who was never a fan of Matt, they just never got along) to borrow her car. She ends up driving them to the hospital, knowing this will mean a lot to her boyfriend (especially since canonly Foggy hadn't had a peaceful night sleep since Midland Circle) and promises to pick them up after.

while Matt is being seen, Foggy calls Karen and panics. he thinks about other people he should possibly call, but in the end leaves it with just them 3

after Karen arrives, and Matt wakes up, Foggy feels himself aching for the shared life they all left behind, where they would work together, laugh together and tell each other everything—well he thought they told each other everything. seeing Matt behave like, well, Matt was also resurfacing some old feelings that frankly he had tried to convince himself were never there in the first place

and suddenly foggy is torn between his new life with marci and his old life with matt

so in basic terms, a love triangle because I'm a basic dumbass, apart from tbh I'm thinking if Foggy gets this conflicted, he probably would break-up with Marci bc he knows she deserves better than that and he doesn't want her to have to be in a relationship where he's no longer sure what he wants. and also marci would (in this case affectionately) take no shit because homegirl knows she doesn't deserve to be second place in someone's life when they're first place in hers. I do think overall they'd stay friends though. I'm not sure yet how I wanna tackle the ending though, I might make a poll

I laughted when I see one of the options: Kinn awkwardly trying to give Kim a sex talk. Like, okay Kinn. But I don't think it will go well with Kim:). Besides, it is too late. KimChay are already having sex. Also Kim literally googled how to give the best head to partner before he went down on Chay (and both enjoyed it). I mean, it won't end well for Kinn (like it didn't for Porsche when he tried the same with Chay). :DD I really look forward to whatever you write.

I'm glad you like the poll and the story! And LOL, you're right. Although, I think Kinn knows sex or some kind of romance/physical intimacy may have happened while the boys were away but wants to be a good big brother, especially considering what Kim went through right before his rescue. While Porsche was more hurt that Chay didn't come to him prior to or right after he started having sex, Kinn likely won't have the same reaction. However, he is probably hoping for a bonding moment with Kim. Knowing Kim, he will probably just stare his brother into submission or share very little. But who knows? He and Chay haven't done everything yet, and this is still very new to Kim. Kim may have some questions eventually!

Ok, as the poll was positive about it, I'll share MY HEADCANONS and MY LORE about Hal...

1.- Hal have a slightly Marfan syndrome. (He described himself in my one shot "look at me~!♥" )

"All my life I've been skinny. I've always had a rather delicate appearance than masculine. I'm not a man with a tanned, toned body like Snake, for example.

I'm rather flabby and my chest is slightly sunken due to my mild Marfan syndrome: flat and long feet, a slight scoliosis that luckily didn't worsen with the use of the PC since my early age, hands with long fingers, and vision problems. I was lucky that this wasn't so noticeable, and that I didn't have any problems with my internal organs, but it could have been much worse with my father's "genetic background".

Now that I'm 37, I consider this nothing compared to what could have really happened to me... I consider myself a completely healthy person" 2.- Older = Calmer. He has an obsessive compulsive disorder with tidiness. As we could clearly see in the Nomad in MGS4, his neat and clean desk, at his 30, he started to acquire a taste for order and doesn't feel at peace in an environment with a lot of chaos. He likes to read and being at home: "I'm rather... boring" 3.- Hard-worker. This is no secret if we think about how many "In-game hours" Hal is supporting Snake, but in "TEC" (Hal's fanfiction) He is quite careful when it comes to work: as a boss, he is an attentive and understanding boss, however he is quite easy to get on his nerves. He usually works a lot from home, programming; A short period in the evenings, but the main work is always done early in the mornings: this way he ensures a free afternoon to share with Snake/Sunny (and Lina♥). 4.- Mental gaps. Sometimes, due to the amount of information accumulated in his mind (and as a good otaku, with a lot of "Random" knowledge) Hal has lapses where he simply "crashes" or gives the impression of suffering "mental lags". But the truth is that he also has a lot of memories blocked in his mind, especially as a child, due to traumas. As a result, it is important to recognize... 5.- He knows (all) the truth about Huey. What things he did in DD and all the events that happened in MGSV (Confirmed by Chris in an old interview) (I don't want to go so deep in this point, because I have a complete chapter about this in Hal's Fanfic) But there is something, punctually, that Hal never knew: Where were the remains of his beloved mother?

6.- He have a sweet tooth. Do I need to explain?: * Sweet personality, like candies, snacks and sweet pastry= Good and Sweet boyfriend, father, and friend♥ 7.- He is nearsighted (Myopic). As I explained in another post, in MGS4 he showed that he could see most of the things around him without the glasses, but when Snake asked him when and where Naomi left, he replied "I don't know, I didn't see her. I was without my glasses."

8.- A concerned Father. Hal will always, always have Sunny first in his mind. He will always be concerned with trying to give Sunny all the tools at his disposal to ensure her well being and will always try to give her everything he didn't have in his childhood. (This includes thinking of Lina as a possible mother figure for Sunny, due to the absence of a mother figure in his own life (?)) (Although it is a sort of justification/self-conviction at a certain point).

9.- He's Gemini. He's birthday is a few more days than Lina's. And they do party together. 10.- He likes red-haired women... Just like Snake... (Or maybe is his way to share a taste with him... who knows...) (at least He said to Lina that he likes her more with red hair)

11.- He had some problems with an anckle

After twisting his left ankle in Shadow Moses and neglecting the sprain by moving around the base helping Snake, Hal was left with a sore ankle, adding to the awkwardness of his "naturally" stiff movements. Now in his 30's, he's sometimes just like grandpas, feeling a bit of discomfort with the cold weather; "Ah! it's going to rain… my ankle tells me so…"

12.- Common grounds with Lina: Common interests with Lina are: Anime (particularly Macross, works by Go Nagai, Sailor Moon), video games (fighting games and survival horror), and music from the 80s and 90s (specially Lina's favorite band, Jamiroquai).

13.- Softy but Pervy. Hal's personality quite mellow and needy for affection: As a complete inexperienced in his sentimental side, he is always looking for ways to get the attention of his loved ones, being quite demanding of his partner's attention. And although at times he can be a huge stalker (staring at erogenous zones, fantasizing, being a consumer of some "adult content" particularly Hentai) his fetishes have NO BDSM connotations (it is quite difficult for him to be a little rougher with Lina; for example, he can hardly " spank" or "pull her hair" Because of his own experience as an abused person in his youth.). He is rather soft, tender and affectionate, but he does have a certain fixation to latex, derived from his taste for Super Sentai series.

I would like to clarify that the reason I want CAR-11E to advance in @best-hifi-rush-character’s polls is not because I want CAR-11E to take the trophy home. That’s not the goal and it never was. (Though it would be rather sweet.)

No, the reasons why I wanted CAR-11E to get to this specific fight against Kale are three-fold:

CAR-11E units, like many of the older Vandelay models, have had their lives made worse by Kale in ways that frankly disgust me. He deserves to be shoved off a very tall podium and who better to do that then the little box-moving robots he’s been overworking? (Well, a lot of people. But CAR-11E’s in the best position to do it right now for maximum comedic effect.)

I realized CAR-11E would be facing Chai even if they did manage to kill Kale and at first that disheartened me. Chai is my beloved blorbo and I would have to lay down my cause the moment we got to him in the brackets. Then I realized that didn’t have to be a bad thing. If I made the goal getting to Chai instead of getting past him, then I could have my cake and eat it too! And draw adorable art about them being friends. :DD

I initially just really wanted CAR-11E to kill that fucking bird so it would lose and now it’s turned into CAR-11E being unironically my second favorite hfr character. (I lump Chai and 808 together in my heart. <3) CAR-11E has already won in my heart and in some of yours so all that’s left is for Kale to get swept by an embarrassing margin. I believe in us. We can do it!!

My intention for when CAR-11E sweeps Kale off this mortal plane is to either draw a comic or animate smth really rough where Chai and CAR-11E meet up. It’s gonna be so sweet and so fluffy and I’m so excited!! Thank you so much for getting CAR-11E this far. (We’re so close!! The goal is within reach!!!)

One night, Jo decides to rob Lucille's mansion and kills her without meaning to in the process, escaping the scene anxiously thinking she's going to go to jail once the body is found. However, Lucille wakes up the next day, with the events of the murder burnt into her mind but her body spared of any wounds. Turns out getting killed is EXACTLY the spice in life she was waiting for! So she decided to track down and knock on her murder's door— not to rat her out, but to ask her to do it again. Jo wasn't really for murdering again, especially with how anxious she ended up getting in the aftermath, but begrudgingly accepts. And it seems that Lucille IS actually very fun to kill for her, too. Cue to Jo murdering Lucille on a Weekly basis, getting very Gay about it each time. Lucille get the thrill of death she wanted, and Jo gets an outlet for her violence. A relationship starting as purely transactional at first slowly turns into a murder romance. They're both kinda fucked up in isolation to one another but complete eachother awfully well. Like "you two are perfect for eachother but never pull anyone else into your bullshit" kinda deal. They keep eachother contained. You feel me.

syscourse musing: so much discourse seems to hinge on "do non-disordered systems experience plurality The Same or Differently to how disordered systems experience it?"...but the problem is, that question is fundamentally subjective, and the answers to it absolutely personal & on a case-by-case basis. And a problem with the endo/trauamgenic binary itself is that it erases the experiences of the many systems who have complicated & genuinely ambiguous relationships to trauma/dissociation/disorder.

Yeah, I'm personally not a fan of the endo/traumagenic binary either, because I don't want to define myself by whether or not I've been traumatized. They also specify origins, but most systems originate in very early childhood so I wonder how so many can remember what specifically caused it, you know? Something might stick out in my mind but for all I know it could've been kickstarted by something completely different and way more subtle. How would I ever know for sure? It's not like I can go back in time and look at my brain and watch for the specific moment the plurality switch was turned on.

That being said, I can see why a lot of people like the terms. They're just not for me.

I also don't see a point in emphasizing this huge divide between different plurals. Some people in the DD community act like the idea of non-disordered plurals relating to their experiences is impossible when it's incredibly common for people without specific disorders to relate to people with specific disorders! And I definitely find a lot of non-disordered plural experiences relatable (although usually not from a DID perspective...I usually relate more to non-disordered plurals as an author than I do as a disabled person).

It's also extremely common for people with DID to think that they're non-disordered at first. Not only did this happen to me, but in one of the polls I did, 1 out of every 2 participants experienced the same thing. For me, that was because of the lack of boundaries and information in the communities at the time, but I'm sure for others it could be because they felt like it was the same as their experience.

So, while I don't think there's a point in emphasizing a divide, I do think there needs to be healthier boundaries and better information out there.

As for whether we experience the same thing or not, I agree that on a case-by-case situation it's definitely subjective. But, I think it also needs to be seen from a broader picture. Are the concepts of non-disordered plurality and something like DID the same? Certainly not. And mashing them together was the reason why I didn't seek out professional help, because the community at the time didn't want to acknowledge that some systems ARE different from them.

If we started enforcing that DID should be treated just like non-disordered plurality, or vice versa, then I think that would hurt a lot of people. But it doesn't matter if a handful of people out there fit into both categories, or something entirely different.

I hope that makes sense! It's sorta difficult to talk about this stuff in a bit of a broader sense.

You said once that the type a men have don't matter, even if they like big boobs if they like you don't matter you have small boobs, but I saw a man saying "I’m usually only turned on by a woman with big breasts. It can be tough for me to find any sexual satisfaction when I’m dating a girl with small breasts” and it seems to be a common opinion

I’m going to be frank right here. If you are hearing that, you are hanging around the wrong type of men. 

First off, I have been a tomboy my entire life. “One of the guys, but with boobs.” Boys, men, whatever have no issue talking in front of me, never have. And I’ve never heard any one of them talk about not being able to find sexual satisfaction from small breasted girls if they prefer the bigger boobs. Maybe it’s just the men I’ve been around versus the men you’ve been around. But for the most part they are just happy to see boobies.

Now, this is also generalizing men. Are there going to be some that hold that opinion? Yes. There are assholes out there that believe that there should be a beauty standard that someone reaches for them to be ‘hot’. If it were me, I wouldn’t bother with them, they aren’t worth my time. Either that, or get them to pay for breast augmentation if they are so hyped up on having bigger boobs. If they want them, they can pay for them. 

Look at it in a non sexual way. I prefer men who are much taller than me, at least 6 inches taller. That’s my ‘type’. But the boy who I gave my virginity to was half an inch taller than my short ass and my ex husband was 4 inches taller me. Even though they weren’t my ‘type’, I still found them attractive. 

Is every man going to go against his type? No. That expectation is just not based in reality. But neither is the mentality that no one will ever find you attractive because you have small breasts. My husband has slept with women that range from barely there boobs to one that were so big the bra needed to stay on during sex for comfort. Not once did he disparage the ones that had the smaller breasts. (and we talked about this before we were ever involved so there was no expectation of trying to impress me. plus my husband is sometimes tooooooo honest)

The real issue is your acceptance of your own body. The average model has A-B cups. While most of us might never walk down a runway, there are far more smaller breast women that you think. A poll states the average breast size in the world (amazing what they will run statistics on nowadays) only 5 countries had the average breast size at DD. 15 at D and the rest were C and below, with the largest number being average cup size of A.

If having small breasts bothers you, have them changed. The beauty about this time is that if there is something that we don’t like about ourselves, we can have it augmented. Whether it’s our nose or the way that your chin is shaped or your breast size. Instead of having to wear padded bras or stuffing, you can have them enhanced to any size you want. Although I would caution weighing the risk versus reward for any type of surgery. 

At the end of the day, all you really need is your own acceptance of your breasts. Because they will change throughout your life.

I read the other day that homosexuality is not illegal in China, just talking about it and showing in the media, so could not someone as brave and crazy as dd attempt to come out outside of the media? after all they are the first 3 shipped real couples in china, they do have support. Disclaimer: fake fake fake. Why would you think that we believe in bjyx?

Preface: this post might not be exactly a controversial opinion, since I think many will have the same one. However, it’s alright to disagree: we all have our own perception of the matter, which is coloured by our own experiences (let’s just say that an absolute objective view is difficult). I present here with the most objective post (at least in terms of data and facts) I could write.

Oh, and you all might have noticed, but being concise is not my forte. I tend to digress.

First of all, I assume that the concept of “coming out outside of the media” means that they could have told just close friends and family, without announcing it to the media.

But how would we know that they have done it? (and I don’t mean we should know for sure, ofc). For all we know, they may have already done this, and, from my pov, they probably have. Without entering in “fake” rumours:

TTXS bros know something (repeating myself for the nth time). From the way DZW jumps in whenever it remotely looks like dd is slipping up, how WH poses his questions, how QF teases him. It all seems references to a real, tangible thing, instead of baseless friendly teasing. It’s also very interesting that they have stopped their matchmaking mission and have instead started to defend why dd is “single”.

Their parents are their cover. Even if dd parents didn’t watch TTXS, wouldn’t someone else watch it and ask them about it? Wouldn’t they wonder about the supposed clothes that dd sends home, the medicine, the market stroll? Maybe I’m just projecting, but I wouldn’t use my parents as a shield if they weren’t aware of the situation behind it, because I’d be subjected to their questioning later. That’s why, unless I wanted to tell them or I had already told them, I wouldn’t use my parents as an excuse. So, once is alright, but dd has done it several times, and that, for me, means that his parents know.

That’s what I would consider “coming outside the media”. Of course, this doesn’t involve us fans, and it’s their decision, of which we probably will never hear about (or, at least, not soon, and that’s fine!). 

In my opinion, it’s also the best course of action, especially with all the rumours that are always circulating about them. It wouldn’t be a “brave and crazy” course of action, but rather the most sensible and rational, since it’s the best way to avoid misunderstandings with your friends and family. It’s also considerate for his friends at work, just so they know what to expect when they are on stage and it allows them to understand dd’s reactions.

(Again, we are talking about dd because that’s who anon asked about. I think gg’s circle is less close to him, so it may not be the case with him, but I don’t know enough to say what would happen).

Just let’s suppose his TTXS bros didn’t know anything and just kept trying to act as matchmakers for dd. That’s the kind of situation that’s bound to be uncomfortable for everyone because dd isn’t the kind of person who’d lie (and he doesn’t fast enough to improptu questions). 

The second thing I wanted to talk about is their fans’ support. I want to talk about numbers.

I’m going to explain why I only take the c-fans data as reference. We int fans don’t really count, because we don’t affect their careers directly, as c-fans do. Of course, our support is very useful in showing how many people are rooting for them, like what happened when Roseonly’s livestream with gg was live. And I like to think that they would feel better knowing that there are a lot of people in Chn and overseas that support them and whatever there is between them.

So int-fans do contribute to give more views and likes to their Roseonly livestream (if they can access it, which isn’t always the case), but they won’t buy the roses and impact with real money, so to say.

We don’t really participate in their endorsements, many won’t stay long enough to watch more dramas from them (and I do understand that the lack of eng subs is the main problem), and many don’t/can’t/don’t know how to push them up in the charts. We’ve talked before about how the c-ent industry doesn’t really need the int audience to make a lot of money, and to be highly profitable, and it still applies in a smaller case, like a single idol. 

That’s why I think that in matters of real, tangible fan support, c-fans still make a bigger percentage (around 80-90%) of their support.

So, as of now, there are 3 supertopics in w/ibo that features gg/dd (let’s leave the difference in supertopics for another day, but I don’t support the discussion about people’s sex life, thanks for your understanding):

BJYX. The largest supertopic (top 1) with a wide margin from the others. It has 2.570.000 fans.

ZSWW. It’s the number 5 in the CP supertopics, with 910.000 fans.

LXFY. The number 23 in the CP supertopics with 590.000 fans.

All of them added make 4.070.000 fans. But we have to take into account the overlapping in these three supertopics: many people (like me) are following the three supertopics at the same time. That’s why, in a not scientific way, I’m guessing that those 4.070.000 come to around 4.000.000 once you take out the people that are following the three at the same time.

Even 4 million people is still a huge number of people: that’s more people than the population of the capital of my country, and one tenth of the total census here.

Yet, in China, it means 4 out of every 1400, which translates into 0′003%. It’s also from a very specific demographic (mainly female and young). Of course, it doesn’t mean that they won’t get support from other people if it ever got out, but they can’t know what would happen then for sure.

It means that, in actual 3D world, there are a lot of people who don’t know about their CP. I read the other day some tumblr blogger saying that “we bxg are in our own little bubble, not that many people know about their cp” (was that you, @jcisthebestfightme?) which I agree a lot with. I mean, my w/ibo account and tumblr is filled with bjyx/yizhan, so much that it’s easy to forget that I arranged it to be like this, but that the majority of the people don’t receive so much info about them, nor they analyze their every move like we do.

The only thing they can know for sure is what general population thinks about same sex relationships.

In a recent poll I saw, with thousands of answers about what netizens thought of the legalization of same sex marriage in Taiwan, the supporting votes didn’t get to 50%. In Taiwan, public opinion was like this around the time same sex marriage was legalized:

An opinion poll conducted in November 2016 by the Kuomintang found that 52% of the Taiwanese population supported same-sex marriage, while 43% were opposed. Another poll commissioned that same month found similar numbers: 55% in support, and 45% in opposition. Support was higher among 20–29-year-olds (80%), but decreased significantly with age. (I just want to say, I can’t wait for the younger generations to take over).

More data: the public stance in China could be described as: “no approval, no disapproval, no promotion”, and the public opinion is becoming more and more tolerant, but there’s still a deep-set homophobia, as in only 5% of the lgbt people comes out completely (around 20% comes out to their family), and around 80% of gay men are married to women due to social and family pressure (ofc, these data is from a few years ago, and new polls and surveys are needed, but don’t expect them to carry out a wide-range survey about this nor I think the situation has changed drastically).

In my opinion, society is slowly taking more steps towards tolerance first and acceptance second. One of their best achievement was the lgbt community and many netizens’ refusal to allow w/ibo to instate a ban on content related to homosexuality, which led to w/ibo actually reversing its decision and stop banning that content in less than 3 days.

However, the fact that a lot of people express their support doesn’t take away the truth of a lot of people openly opposing it (let’s remember that there weren’t so many antis to start with in 2/27, but its effects were undeniably large and unjust).

(If any of you read more data about lgbt rights in China, please remember that Hong Kong receives a lot more Western influence, and that public opinion in HK does not represent the actual situation in mainland Chn. Ofc, because they’re more open to lgbt, there are also more data and polls carried out in HK, so a lot of info is HK based).

Leaving this kind of data aside, let’s take another matter of numbers. While they have in total 4 million fans in the supertopics, dd has as of now 35,400,000 fans following him on w/ibo and gg has 26,690,000 fans.

One thing I’m sure they are aware of is the discussion that arises from time to time between the solo fans and the bxg. Another thing they must be aware of, specially dd, is that their fanbase has a lot of females who are their fans, not just because of their talent, but also because they’re single and therefore they can fantasize about being with them.

All in all, even though a lot of people support them, there would be also quite a number of “disappointed” people, with the danger of them becoming antis.

So while I do think they appreciate it, and leave clues specifically for us, and dd goes as far as interacting with bxg, I also feel that gg and dd might not see widespread support, enough so they’d feel comfortable coming out completely with the current public stance on homosexual relationships in Chn.

(And again, from my pov, they aren’t in the closet with their family and friends).

And last, but not least, does “coming out respecting the censorship and not talking about it with the media” mean that it would be known by the general public, or, at least, their fans (in a very hypothetic case, since I don’t know how this could be achieved)? Because then, even if they didn’t talk about it with the media, it would be as good as coming out publicly.

In an idol’s life there’s no “private” and “public”. There’s only “public” and “secret” (and by secret I mean things they “hide” in public/don’t talk about, even though people next to them might know about it). The line between public and private is very very blurred in the c-ent industry.

I always remember the case of an actor who had an affair. Because of his affair (he was married and had a son), he lost endorsements, he was taken out of tv programs and literally erased from filmed episodes. The things he did in private affected very directly his job (I don’t approve of the affair, but the consequences it had surprised me a lot). 

So, while I do think that gg and dd are getting bolder with time, when they were both very startled by the “you’d lose your job if you were in a relationship” phrase, the fear was real and palpable. However, I’m aware that that was their stance a year ago, and that a lot of things have changed (heck, we’ve gone through a pandemic, something I couldn’t have imagined a year ago), so I’m going to observe how they act from now.

That’s why, “coming out willingly would also save them from being eventually outed..” is true, but it’s also true that it would push them into a storm I’m not sure they’d come out completely unscathed. And it may be selfish, but I don’t want them to be the ones who test the public’s tolerance to gay idols.

I think I’m missing my point, so I’ll spell it out: if they want to come out, I’ll support them with everything I have, as I think many fans will do. If they ever prove us wrong dating another person, be it male or female, I’ll support them as a fan too. But I would like any action they take to be decided by them, instead of pressed by fans who just want a confirmation at any cost.

I’ve seen people saying that if they were really together, they should be “honest” with themselves and the audience and come out publicly. In my opinion, it’s easy to judge when you’re not the one who might lose something if you take a step in the wrong direction, and it’s not your income and your job in the line.

I’m sure (reminding you all that I believe that bjyxszd) that they’d come out completely if possible. I’m also sure that they have consulted with managers and public relations experts (and their team would have talked with them about it even if gg and dd didn’t bring it up). Therefore, I strongly believe they are doing what they think is better at the time being. 

To sum up: I’ll support whatever they do, but I don’t want others to push them to do things they don’t want/aren’t prepared to do. They are already between a rock and a hard place, so whatever they do with their relationship is absolutely their call.

So, anon, I hope I have answered you, but I leave here a short summary for you in the case the info was too scattered for you:

They might have come out to friends and family, and, based on dd’s interactions with the people around him and the words he has said, I do believe he has. Because gg is also an honest, sensible person, I think he might have done the same.

Chn is a big country. That means that in terms of public support, sometimes numbers that would be astronomically high in other countries, is not so much in Chn. Translating numbers into percentage, a 1% means 14 million people.

So it’s true that they have a lot of people supporting them, of course. 2 million people is a lot of people, especially considering that many don’t know about them. But when you have to take into account the general public (because it’d be a scandal), since their fans aren’t the only ones interacting with them, it’s still a low number.

Coming out willingly would also save them from being eventually outed.. 

That’s true in the case of family and friends. But if you’re talking about being outed in the media, that’s not possible. Known by the fans = Public.

And remember that in this case, the media wouldn’t talk about them, since talking about homosexuality in the media is prohibited. The problem would come from within the industry and the antis.
