Casual reminder that the following things are considered traumatic to small children
- neglect (physical and/or emotional)
- living in an emotionally unstable environment (for example, having parents that fight often)
- any kind of physical, emotional, or sexual abuse (not just from parents)
- consistent bullying
- etc
Remember that what is traumatic to a child is not the same as what is traumatic to you now. So think again before saying your trauma ‘isn’t bad enough’

Hey, it’s not your fault. You were just a kid. You may still BE a kid. But I know a few things for certain:
You didn’t ask to be born into this world.
You didn’t ask to be treated the way that you were treated—whether it was by bullies, parents, or other family members.
You didnt ask to “be a burden” to your caregivers, you deserved that space to be loved and safe
You didn’t ask for your consent to be broken.
You didn’t ask for the shame and guilt someone put you through.
You aren’t bad for something happening to you. You aren’t your trauma.
I’m sorry if you were ever made to feel that way, and I know that may never mean much coming from a stranger, but I know it’s something I wish I heard more.

DID but not as in presence of "evil murderer alter", DID as in buying two drinks instead of one because someone came to front after seeing a blue raspberry slushie and DEMANDED to have it, but the alter who walked all the way to the gas station refused to leave without getting what they wanted to get initially.

Hey, you! You who suspect you might have PTSD, DID or another trauma disorder, but you think you didn't experience trauma "bad enough" to have developed a mental disorder from it? Let me suggest looking at it differently:
"If there's smoke, there's fire"
Do you experience symptoms of PTSD, such as hypervigilance, trouble sleeping, flashbacks, memory problems, dissociation, ect? Then yes, it was "bad enough". Maybe you don't remember anything "really bad" happening or you don't "feel like" it affects you, but listen to your body. The body remembers and the body doesn't care if you think it is "stupid" or "weak" to have a panic attack when someone touches you or that you still have nightmares about that thing you saw when you were 4 years old
Trauma isn't what happened. Trauma is the reaction to what happened. So what I'm trying to say is that if the reason you think you can't have PTSD/DID/OSDD/ect is because you didn't go through anything horrific enough for that, then maybe forget about what happened to you for a moment and just look at the evidence your body and mind are showing. And then, most importantly, be compassionate with yourself. You're going through a lot and it's gonna be okay in the end. Take it easy, okay? <3

doing actual research on DID is so freeing. i mean literal books and scientific journals. we're still trying to save up for all the books we want, but man these journals are so great. so are the legitimate articles on childhood trauma. so are the trusted youtubers who actually link their research and have studied / read up on this shit.
its so fucking relieving to read something scientific and go "yes. thats me".
it feels so much better than online debates with number names and introject doubles.
it feels so goddamn nice to actually touch grass and look at the facts of this disorder.

I have a hot take and opinion. I find it so strange when other systems say they support all systems (those with DID/OSDD), but the moment they have differences within their system, suddenly some of you become cold.
A common one is how people feel when a person talks about their inner world as a real place. Why does that bother you so much? I’m genuinely wondering. And don’t hit me with the “it’s weird, it’s not okay, that’s not how systems work” or something else that is absolutely ridiculous. I want to know a full-depth answer on why someone with DID or OSDD (a fellow system) talking about their inner headspace causes such distress for you?
In my opinion, who really cares lol? Why are we policing how people interact with their system if they are a legitimate traumagenic system that is not spreading misinformation about systems? It’s like when people say they have a front room, cool! If someone talks about how it’s like an empty void, also cool! A person mapping out their inner world or drawing it? Lovely! But then god forbid someone talks about the inner world like a real place (which usually they know it’s not real as far as IRL goes).
It’s always systems support systems until they’re a little different from you (and no I do NOT include endo’s/nontraumagenic people, they are NOT systems). A professional wouldn’t put down someone for talking about their inner world so why should you?

SYSTEMPUNK
Systempunk: A term or Subculture surrounding the liberation of plurals and the critique of psychiatry. We're outspoken on how the psych community mistreats us and how we will force the breaking of the chains that continuously fakeclaim or harm us whenever we do something singlets/psychiatrist do not like. We have been silenced and told that if we are open, it is a sign of us lying. We have been forced to follow the strict guidelines of the dsm5 in order to avoid being told that our experiences are false. We have been forced into psychiatric wards and abused because we are not singlet. We have been the face of the liars for too long, plural liberation is something we must push. The future is plural.
ANTI ENDOS AND RADQUEERS DO NOT TOUCH.
Meaning of the flag:
Brown and Black: The POC-bodied systems who are put down by both the community and the society around them. POC-bodied systems who have had their diagnosis's rejected due to their race. POC-bodied systems who have a cultural origin or connection and are hurt because of it. POC-bodied systems who are appropriated by other systems and are not listened to. POC-bodied systems who are hurt by the white dominated psychiatric system. POC-bodied systems who deserve to be heard and understood.
Purple stripe: Endogenic Solidarity, allyship, love, liberation. Endogenic systems are continuously harmed by antis who remain uncritical of psychiatry, are against the liberation of plurals, and deny a plural future in order to push singlethood onto others. Endogenic systems are also used in a lot of fakeclaiming content made by singlets and psychiatrist despite the research that supports their existence. It's because singlet society hates plurals and hates any form of existence we have. Love your endogenic siblings. They are the diverse experiences of plurality, they have helped us through so much.
Yellow Stripe: Disordered and traumagenic system solidarity and liberation. Disordered systems are horribly abused by the psych system, we make up most of those hospitalized and we are put down as too crazy to make our own decisions. Even if our existence is from trauma or a disorder, we shouldn't be forced into a singlet cure, we deserve autonomy.
Pink stripe: Abolition of psychiatric wards used to abuse us, hide us away, and silence us. Our autonomy is stolen from them, we deserve resources that help us instead of force us into a place that fucking hates us.
White stripe: Psych-critical beliefs or Anti-psych beliefs, despite their differences we still stand together against the harms of the psychiatric system. ACAB included in this.
Barbed wire: Anti-fakeclaim culture, systems deserve to be believed. Pro-plural protection. Protect another no matter your beliefs, cops and psych wards fucking hate us and want us dead, protect those you love. protect the closeted, protect all systems.
Fangs: Fight for your existence, be loud about it, write essays, make art, do whatever you can. Force plural liberation down the throats of singlets. Force the future to be plural.
Ampersand: PLURAL PRIDE, PLURAL ACCEPTANCE, PLURAL LIBERATION, PLURAL HISTORY, PLURAL FUTURE

sometimes i wonder why people "want" to be system or have a trauma disorder, you really want the sleepless nights? do you really want the horrible flashbacks? do you want to feel like a monster for having basic human reactions? do you want to have everything rush back because you put a song on?
stop thinking systemhood is "just fun little friends in youre head" stop thinking cluster b is "cute" and "quirky" its not, it never will be these disorders ruin my life, i get systems and trauma finding fun in a shit position, but they are not for others to find "fun" or "cool"
stop being fucking weird about us

guys, can we stop pretending that being wrong about a self dx is the end of the world
worse case scenario, youre back at square one with figuring out exactly whats going on and you dont have any other leads or explanations to why you behave certain ways or why things in your life go the way they do
its actually far more harmful for a doctor to be wrong about a professional diagnosis (which they pretty often can be in the abnormal psych area). a doctor misdiagnosing you can lead to you being put on medications you dont need that could end up making things worse. in some cases, this can be life threatening. it happened to our moms boyfriend when he was little. he was given an adhd diagnosis and was put on adhd meds he didnt need when he was actually bipolar. and yes, it did end up doing more harm than good. at some point he just lied to his mom about taking them and then showed her all the pills he hadnt been taking when he was doing better because he wasnt taking the meds that were supposed to solve his problems. he got rediagnosed after that and everything was good, but it still doesnt change the fact that a professional misdiagnoses can be really harmful
self dx literally doesnt do any harm to anyone. as long as the person in question did their research, who are we to dictate what they can/cant suspect about themselves and their experiences?

no we are not "privilege" for having trauma. It's fucking crippling we can't go anywhere with alcohol without having a ptsd attack. We can't handle being touched, we can't handle being screamed at or left!! It's fucking us over and we also have to deal with being a fuckijg system!!
Which, no, it is not fun to be a system. If you call systems "traumascum" or "syscum" your ableist plain and simple!!
(Btw plural isn't a endo only term dumbasses think of that before you make a "call out" post abt us lmao)
