sometimes, you have to pile things on nonsensical math because it is evil and does not like children. I mean me neither but c'mon man, you could at least try to be nice. You could just not have a thing called systems, that'd be really helpful. My husband is watching spn for the first time, he's currently somewhere in mid-season 6. Tell me why I remember absolutely nothing about this season. He's asking me things about episodes and I'm just like ??? I'm unsure as well, My Guy. What is wrong with Sam? Who are the Alphas? Does this season even exist? Who am I? Who are you? Where are we?

So i put some cork down on a miniature’s base to look like rocks

And then i painted them yellow to match the sand on the rest of the base

But then they looked a lot like big chunks of cheese, so i did a heavy drybrush of grey to make them look more rocklike

But then they looked kinda boring, so i slapped some agrax earthshade on there

And now the cork is brown. And it looks like cork again 🙃

In another chapter of random gax thoughts, did anyone else think that back in Melbourne this

was Max being upset because George left him to stand there alone?

This was when Max finished his post-race interview and went to where George was, Lando leaving them tet-a-tet (to be interviewed), and then (in the background of Lando's interview) we could see George going somewhere to the opposite side. I was like 'damn, no gax interaction then', and seconds later they show Max standing there with the kicked puppy expression.

I saw the sentiment that Max was upset thinking about his car not being as good as McLarens, but he was too upbeat during his interview for this to be the case, imo.

All of this to say, I think Max was going through it during the self-inflicted breakup

The Earth is spinning at about 1,000 miles per hour. The Earth is orbiting the Sun at about 67,000 miles per hour. The Solar System is being dragged at about 490,000 miles per hour toward the area known as the Great Attractor, a region of space about 150,000,000 light-years away. The Solar System, going almost half a million miles per hour, is in an orbit that will take approximately 230 billion years to complete, going around the Milky Way. We're moving at a rate of approximately 250 miles per second through the Universe.

Our atmosphere has to go with us. The ultimate apocalyptic biohazard is that the Earth stops spinning. If it stops spinning the atmosphere would keep moving, instantaneously ripping everything off of the surface of the Earth, stripping it down to absolutely nothing, taking with it the magnetic field which protects us from the Sun, and the Earth would be instantly incinerated.

Everything in the physical world operates on absolute, fixed laws. Violating those laws has consequences, sometimes deadly. If there was any question about the absolute nature of these laws, the whole thing would crumble. The physical Universe is complex, structured, and perfectly balanced.

We're 1.6 million miles away from where we were yesterday, and all this movement and motion is happening seemingly unnoticed. Life is happening here, now. Isn't it wonderful?

The traveler will be like "wah, I don't wanna do work! I don't wanna keep helping all these random people and getting into trouble! I've done enough" and then dig their heels in and refuse to even explore the easiest option

The thing that bugs me about Ai's plan is also the thing that makes me not trust her as a problem solver.

She knows that May isn't over her first love and, she knows that she (Ai-oon) is May's first love. Ai also knows that Oom was sending her to break up with May. So for her to sit there and say "I'm going to make you happy like you used to be." Thoroughly confuses me. I know it's for the story and it makes sense for the story and it also makes sense for her character who's kind of a martyr.

Neither May nor Ai-oon are dumb. But this plan was never going to work. Mostly because, Ai basically stopped pretending to be Oom early in their relationship. Oonmay have so many unique memories that Ai would have to keep filling Oom in on them for forever (or until Oom gets her memories back) assuming that May does not notice the switch. If it "worked" no one would be able to move on.
