On the topic of live action Azula...

I'm sick and tired of people hating her on Azula's new design because they think it's not right. Her outfit isn't right, that's true, but what's with everyone complaining about her facial features? The only off thing about her facial features is her eyes not being gold.

That being said, some of y'all's complains are uncalled for.

Her eyes can very much be wide. And they can also be narrowed and sharp. Can I tell you a secret? The way your eyes look changes depending on your facial expression. I know, it's crazy! And who could have also thought that her eyes can be wide too, if she's surprised. It's almost like she has a normal face that moves and her eyes can take different shapes, and if she's just resting her face and not making a particular expression, her eyes will have normal, semi-narrow, semi-wide shape. Who could have thought Azula has a face that works the way faces do 🤯

People like this want an excuse to talk down to religious minorities under the guise of polite language, and if you don't want to be associated with them, you have to put in the work to not be like this. I say this as an ex-Catholic, and a former anti-theist - do better.

If you are making objective assertions about someone else's religion that you have not studied and cannot answer basic questions about, you're not being critical of religion, you're being an atheist supremacist. If you pull a "gods are more harmful than helpful" like this person but cannot tell me the impact of Kali or Sàngó on their respective cultures, you are not being critical, you're ignorant and self-absorbed. If you have not studied religion, you do not know what you are talking about, and if you are only accepting xtian interpretations of other religions as true, even as a basis for hatred of religion, you're just a xtian with a new wallpaper.

If you are advocating for anti-theism, you are advocating for the cultural genocide of hundreds of different cultures around the world. Random list of Clark Kent Headcanon's that I have y'all can use/adopt

He has a lisp - his mouth, throat, vocal cords, etc, were NOT made for human languages so for a long time he had a lisp and it's still noticeable in certain words/if he is tired, he leans more into the lisp though when he is Superman and has learned more Kryptonese words as it helps pass off as an alien accent

he is lactose intolerant, treading on allergy - there's no milk (or anything similar) in krypton, he can howerver drink almond milk and stuff

Can't eat carrots (allergic, barely made it), poor guy

He can't cross his fingers, but he Can cross his toes, don't ask why

His eyes don't reflect light like human eyes, his glasses are Bulky to help draw away attention from it/have a reason to blame for it

because he strikes the 'uncanny valley' affect, he unnerves a people every once in a while, and they don't know why

(particularly in an au of mine) he, as superman, convinced people he was learning English - this helps him always getting shorter written reports in the league (in part also helped because of an accident involving him not understanding a written word and people thought he wasn't understanding the word not the way it was written)

His body is made for different actions/movements, so every once in a while he will do something his body was Not meant to do/no longer did thanks to evolution

thank the gods that Clark's invulnerability only truly kicked in when he was an adult, or else Martha and Jonathan would have to Fake being anti-vaxers to explain why Clark couldn't get vaccinated

is 'colour-blind' (sees colour differently because of him having different eye cones, the thingies that let you see colour)

He was VERY lucky to have lived past childhood because uh. non-human baby with no one trained to treat him medically correctly while he was around human illnesses

This actually lead to him getting sick often as a kid btw, helping hide him being superman from the people of Smallville because The Kent's sickly kid? Sick Clark? No, no way he is Superman

Hello! I wanted to share some thoughts about the comic so far. I took some time to skim through the story and have a fair idea of what it's all about. There were certainly a whole myriad of feelings I had for the cast, but I wanted to share the most relevant ones currently.

I will warn in advance, it is very long!

I found the introduction of Kua to be a very pleasant turning point for the story! :) I connect with them very well since they seem like a being that truly respects Ru as someone with thoughts, feelings, and genuine motivations. I too, am someone that strives to treat people with kindness and understanding no matter their condition so long as they're not hateful or scornful people. Even if some are, I do my best to stand my ground and evaluate them as people who make their own choices or have their own ideals.

I look at the rest of the Family and see how poorly they all treat each other :( even if their hearts are (apparently) in the right place. I can see, through their characterizations in the chapters and QnAs, that most of the Family are simply holding to their own creed of life & living, and seem to know no other way to live, and that is why they treat children like Ru and Tashi the way they do. However, it is very sad to see how deeply it blinds them from seeing them as 'people' that feel and think and understand the same way they do. It is even sadder to see how absolute they hold to these ideals of having to be "perfect" and to mold to the 'ideals' of the Spirit Tree, even if the Tree is only doing so out of a desire to survive, to establish an environment of peace and safety. It is ironic then, how turbulent and unwelcomed our poor friends Ru and Tashi have been in their own home and depsite being Children of the Tree (and probably Ashi too if/when we ever learn more about them). Seeing a character like Kua, someone who lives and thrives outside of these ideals and the society of the Spirit Tree, reminds me that nothing about neurotypical society (relative to this world) should be absolute like the Tree believes it is. Why? Because it reminds me that there are people out there who have the capacity to see through one ideal, and to welcome other views and synthesize them into a greater understanding of the world at large, the great diversity of the people that live in it, and *how* they go about doing so. I look forward to seeing how the story unfolds now with their involvement in Ru's life.

I have always found myself reflecting on life and the human condition whenever I read your material, especially as someone who majored in psych and have always had a strong affinity towards the understanding of people in general. A lot of people seem to feel like Kua is a breath of fresh air in the comic, a lot of other characters are jerks so I get that. XD I love her, so I'm very happy the readers seem to like her too! She's a major part of the cast so y'all get to enjoy her presence from now on!

The situation with the family sucks, def. I think family can OFTEN suck. We gotta write fiction that explores these stories because as a society, we are so ready to ignore that the family is so commonly a place of pain or trauma. It's not like CotL is anti-family propaganda or anything, family is also a very sacred and important thing, and that will be explored in the story as well. But with how common familial abuse is in our society, especially parental abuse, it just has to be spoken about. It's important.

Erasing Sakura from Team 7 dynamics and adding Hinata isn't an uncommon practice in the fandom, but it is odd considering they preach about hating Sakura but giving Hinata all her characteristics.

I don't understand why that particular anon feels like they're betraying anyone.

Anon was talking about betraying mainly sasusaku because they like narusaku, so what about Sasuke? Because from a shipping pov that is closer to canon standards like anon is saying, it's very difficult to ship Sasuke with anybody that isn't Sakura. All simply because: one, Sasuke has had a hostile behavior with the female character he has interacted with (besides his mother) and second, he has completely ignored the rest. The only woman he developed a bond with was Sakura, to whom he ended up marrying despite his hatred blinding him during part II.

"Betraying" Sasuke feels like it goes completely against his judgement to put him together with another female simple based on his behavior towards them i.e rejecting Karin more than once and ignoring Ino. So seeing narusaku as a potential ship is betraying sasusaku and Sasuke.

However, Sakura is very shippable because she has interacted with every single character at some point of the series and they have never expressed hostile behaviors with her i.e Rock Lee, Naruto, Kiba, Neji, Sai... and that would "betray" Sasuke for the same reasons I explained above.

And the same with Naruto except Naruto loved Sakura and his bond with Sasuke are the bases of sns.

But anon feels bad for Hinata because she has had no interaction with other people other than her cousin and her teammates, so pairing up Naruto with sasusaku is "betraying" Hinata from a shipping pov. That's why anon feels bad about her.

Anon's shipping preferences are mainly based on how the manga portrays these characters and the feelings you get while reading them. At the end of the day, you're free to feel and ship whoever you want. I gave anon the idea to completely forget about Hinata's existence if that made them feel better.

I should have been on the pill when I was 14. You're probably thinking, "14 year olds shouldn't be having sex!!" You are correct. And I had never had sex, I was just laying in my room in my own blood.

The pain from my periods was AGONIZING. It was nonstop bleeding and horrific cramps for days. I would lie on the floor and cry and wish it would stop.

Mom never took me to the doctor for it but when I was 22 I read up about female issues online and it suggested ovarian cysts. So even though I had never had an intimate exam before and I was scared I went to my doctor and said I thought I had cysts. She found some in me and prescribed me birth control. My whole abdomen was bloated and painful and I could hardly function until the pills took effect.

When conservatives hear "birth control" it means sex to them. The HPV shot means sex to them. And now they're trying to ban the abortion pill which means more moral failings to them. They are trying to slut shame and control women even more.

Whether you are pro-choice or pro-life it doesn't matter because it is NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS. I repeat. WHAT A WOMAN DISCUSSES IN A ROOM WITH HER DOCTOR IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS.

I got the HPV shot because I have had 2 boyfriends who had it. But people think it's the left encouraging immorality when doctors encourage the jab for children. Like, no. He then started complaining he didn't understand why women rejected him.

I went to the doctor today to renew my birth control that saves my life. I have cysts so aggressive they would stifle my body if I wasn't on the pill. If not for the pill and I got surgery instead I would need to get surgery every year or something. But alongside the abortion pill, some conservatives want birth control options compromised too.

Women go through enough. To stay on the pill I once had to shell out $500 a year for invasive exams. Now they've lessened the exams because they were found to be too violating and meaningless. 1,000s upon 1,000s of young women getting unneeded vaginal exams since the 60s. So on top of being forced to get healthcare we are now getting it forcibly taken away?

Today the only thing I did voluntarily was get 2 vaccines. It's all stupid, especially the eye exam. The nurse was surprised I couldn't read ANY lines without my glasses. I told her I was almost legally blind which is the truth. I have very low vision and partial blindness in one eye. What does that have to do with birth control?

They need to make healthcare easier for women not harder. Conservatives need to focus on fixing the economy and reducing regulations on the working class, not controlling women's bodies.

I am against government control, gun restrictions, and all of that, but because the right demands the government to regulate women's bodies they are hypocritical and they aren't worth voting for. Their mindsets are dangerous and they are hurting women.

I just want to be happy, protected, and free from horrific periods. Don't take that away from me.
