danganronpa is so fucking crazy bc it’s like “hi. this is a game series with a fucking amazing premise. unfortunately the writing sucks and is bad and you will spend half the time going ‘eugh why did they write that’ but you will play the whole thing anyways and get attached to your favorite characters and cry when they inevitably die. also it is filled with romance subplots that will stay in your brain forever” HUH??????

Solaris/Fabricator/Prism - Triple Threat Self explanatory...Each of them became an antagonist at least once, and I like the alliteration too! Science Gals/Science Wives is nice but I feel bad since. technically there's another science gal in this game and she's not invited :( sorry ashley lincoln </3

I'm aware it's a bit one-sided which is, for me, the point since that's how I'd think their relationship would start out

Prism/Phoenix - Bluebird / Kinetic Mocktail Credit to tumblr user solobodor for Bluebird since she used this as her roxanix art trade's filename and I Really like it.............it's simple and cutes! Blue for Prism and Birdie for Phoenix. But I also wanted to think of something with the drinks again since they've got that in common. I chose mocktail specifically since the fruit mocktail recipe card says it's 'meaningless without kinesium', and Phoenix has kinesium.. etc etc

I would like to make an addendum to this piece with the new chapter out and say that I was wrong about Phillip, he's great, 10/10 he went from being a giant red flag of a character to being genuinely relatable and man do i feel bad about side-eyeing him for that line he said last chapter

Also this chapter finally wrapped up another plot thread I was waiting for it to return to and waaaaaah seeing someone else's POV on Helene is so nice (and we finally got another flashback of OG Helene for like,, the first time in literally forever). Helene being called out as a lonely person who hides her kind feelings behind a cold expression...man suddenly my fondness for Helene is increasing thousandfold

Like literally how the fuck does this manga keep making Helene better and better there's literally nothing disappointing about her character and im STILL shook about it
