clones accidentally but deeply getting into jedi trading cards. when a battalion meets another in the field, they can be found in huddles playing swapsies. GARComm has a flourishing marketplace. when different corps go to new planets, they scour the stalls for cards. rarer cards are sent in internal mail so everyone gets a chance to see them.
the jedi, observing from a distance, think it’s great for the clones to have an interest. none of their business, though! :):):)
then they see padawans trading with some of the corries and … okay… they can be a BIT nosy, right?
the force is rich with embarrassment that day

i can't stop thinking about sphinxford from monster falls i, metaphorically, bashed my head at a wall for like the entire time i was drawing this. anyway. since i have my own sphinx depiction i realised i can just blast everyone with a fixation from years ago LMAO enjoy some sphinxford. six fingered freak. the faux eyes are green because he has green vibes To Me while the actual eyes (and true third eye) are brown because thats his canon eye color. anyway i'm not gonna bore you all with my sphinx lore

ftr Armand was named Amadeo ("Beloved of God") because he didn't remember his real name at the time he was rescued, and he needed some name, so Marius gave him one that proved how much he was loved. Amadeo is not his "slave name." He didn't have a slave name. That's part of the dehumanization. He doesn't know what they called him in the brothel, if they bothered to call him by a name at all (they might have just referred to him as "the mute" or something similarly shitty) but if he didn't know his name, they didn't call him Arun.
(I don't believe his parents sold him, which might have meant his name going onto some sort of record. I think that's a story he was told aboard the ship, when his memories first started shorting out.)
My read on the show is that the same thing is true, but that in the years since, Armand has gained an inkling he was originally named Arun, but he isn't sure.
Lil factoid we learn in Blood and Gold: Marius could read Amadeo's suppressed memories and knew his real name, but wanted those memories to return to him gently and naturally because he wasn't sure what the consequences could be if he started just telling him things. Where he's concerned, those memories got locked away for a reason and he doesn't want to inadvertently hurt Amadeo.
