Adrasteia - female SkyWing soldier with a dead husband and lots of trauma (tm). Mother of Ares and Hera, widow of Halcyon. Questioning loyalty to Queen Burgundy. I think she had an insanity arc or something and died at the end in my original plans, that sounds cool I might go with that again.

Ares - young male SkyWing, Adrasteia's son, protective brother to Hera. Reminds Adrasteia a lot of his father. Falls in love with Jet. Protective of his sister and wants to bring justice and end the war, but is concerned for his mother's mental health.

Frigid - male IceWing soldier in the First Circle, secretly Queen Brumal's lover. After Queen Brumal's death, he is forced to continue his role while also trying to keep his children with Brumal a secret, thinking it could cause him to be demoted in the Circles. He wants Ghiaccio to become king so he can continue to keep his secret.

Hyacinth and Snakeroot - duo LeafWing (PoisonWing) couple, Hyacinth is female and Snakeroot is male. Their love isn't exactly forbidden, they were happy that their marriage was arranged, but they flee to Pyrrhia and get caught in the war just trying to live peacefully without any SapWing and PoisonWing tension. Their children are Ash and Sycamore. Hyacinth's sister Arnica is furious with her sister for leaving and she and her husband Foxglove become major antagonists.

Ghiaccio - male IceWing, Brumal's cousin who hated the royal life and fled. Due to Frigid and Brumal's relationship being secret, Frigid wants to find Ghiaccio to take the throne so his secret is not exposed. However, Ghiaccio fled and lived in the abandoned Night Kingdom, where he finds a shiny amulet that gives him visions, and flees to Pantala to escape Pyrrhian drama, where he meets Julia and Pollen. Eventually travels back to Pyrrhia with the two to help end the war after he discovers more knowledge.

Julia - a female SilkWing living in Honeycomb Hive. Besties with Pollen, a HiveWing. Helps Ghiaccio with his Pyrrhian trauma (tm) and gets him settled into Pantalan life. Goes on a journey with Ghiaccio and Pollen back to Pyrrhia to help end the war with the shiny necklace that causes trauma (tm).

Earthquake - male MudWing soldier who just wants to be a dad to his kids, but his mate took the kids. Determined to find more about the cause of the war and to get more involved in his kids' life. Becomes best buds with Treefrog, who unbeknownst to him is actually the RainWing prince Radiance in disguise.

Radiance - male RainWing prince, is disappointed in his mother's choice to not affiliate herself with the war, escapes the Rainforest Kingdom and disguises himself as a MudWing named Treefrog to be able to fight in the war, becoming best buds with Earthquake.

what is mesa's lore

I spent the last couple hours drawing and writing these. Like I know his story but (like with most of my OCs) it’s not written down anywhere haha

His family is extremely musical and he was born into the love of playing music. He loves dancing too. His father was not present in his childhood so he always felt the need to step up and take on a leading role. He has a younger half-sister, her name is Ocotillo. He plates the flute and she plays lute (dragon equivalents of these instruments because of different anatomy). Zeugen’s (their mother) age is starting to catch up to her and she finds it difficult to join in on their playing. She usually played tambourines but can't keep up with their high tempo anymore. She usually supports them in other ways such as helping them travel, or advertise them though posters.

Mesa and Ocotillo busk to get treasure for trade or food, or anything that people throw to them. They have a collection of all the odd gifts they've gotten from dragons. A couple they have are; a carved wooden elephant, a petrified lizard in amber, a small pot with little carvings on them and what they think is a barb from another sandwing, long dead, but the shape is eerily familiar.

They use the gold and treasure to help Zeugen because she can’t work. When Mesa was a young adult 24 dragon years,(he's currently 67 in dragon years), a dragon dashed past him and his sister performing and stole most of what they had earned that day. As performers they couldn’t stop and cause a disturbance but this was common in the Scorpion Den and the theft wouldn’t severely hinder them. They had been travelling more since the war ended and were on their way to Possibility and were robbed again during a rest along the journey, this time taking way more than they could handle losing.

They made it to town the next day in the evening and set up to play music and hopefully earn back some of what they had lost. A dragon swept over them from above and attempted to take more of their possessions but Mesa had been on guard since the last incident and tackled the thief to the ground. A lot of dragons around caught the commotion because Possibility is a lot safer than other towns and cities in Pyrrhea. A young female dragon was the culprit. Mesa held onto her and dragged her off to their camp and interrogated her.

She admitted she was the dragon who stole from them the first 2 times but she wasn’t targeting Mesa and his family for any personal reasons. It was because she had a hefty debt to pay back. Her name was Oryx

Oryx owed a lot of gold to a supposed healer. Her grandmother (the only living relative she had growing up) had been sick for years and was slowly deteriorating in the last decade. She had gone to the border of the sandwing and rainwing kingdom to meet a healer she got wind of. The healer was giving her all these ointments, medicines, herbs and creams for ehr grandmother but she didn't have any possessions to trade for it. He promised he wouldn’t make her pay now if she couldn’t afford it.

Oryx became a regular and just assumed she could pick up work and pay him back once her grandmother healed. But she never seemed to get any better, in fact she got worse. So he gave her more herbs, more medication that she also didn't have to pay for upfront. Her grandmother died several agonising years later because of these fake medications not healing her sickness and causing her more trouble.

Oryx was so furious with this fake rainwing healer she hired an assassin to kill him. The rainwing outsmarted the assassin somehow so now she owes the rainwing, and the business the assassin worked for (owe the payment for the services and now the death of a worker). Oryx has been hiding from the sandwings and this suspicious rainwing for the last 5 years trying anything to pay them back and get a hold of her life again.

She steals because she can't find work. Word got around from the assassin business that she has debt so most businesses wont take her in. So she resorted to thievery.

Mesa took sympathy to Oryx because he is also working to look after his family. She fought him to keep the gold because “she needs it more than him”. Mesa considered that she could play music with him and his sister. Oryx was desperate and immediately said yes. He agreed that she can keep a small amount of it but they need to rest to trade for food etc.

She agreed and was given Zeugen’s tambourine to play. She picked it up fast and now their music had improved, they were earning treasure faster. Mesa Ocotillo and Oryx split their earnings 4 ways, a quarter each and one for Zeugen.

Over their time together Mesa and Oryx started getting closer and eventually fell in love. Sandwings don't typically follow traditional marriage rituals, commonly using the term “mate” instead of husband or wife but they live in Possibility now and each wear a ring, Mesa has his piercing into his wing, and Oryc wears hers as a nose ring. They don't have any children but throw parties often and participate in festivals to play their music together.

Ocotillo has a partner too. A mudwing named Pickle who is into artistic architecture. They built a gazebo just for Ocotillo to play music in.

Hi! Any lore for Coal?

Yeah! Thanks for asking about him, I quite like him even though I haven't posted about him much...

He's a Night/Sky hybrid, who lives on the NightWing island!! His story is set sometime after Darkstalker causing the NightWings to move, and before it goes kaboom.

However, there is one thing in common with the canon time - he's getting experimented on by the NightWings!

First, let's talk about where he comes from. He's the offspring of some SkyWing and some NightWing. Both were killed by the NightWings for their betrayals, and were going to kill Coal too- until they grabbed him and one of their claws got burned. Coal has different levels of firescales on him, with some patches being warm, others burning, some normal scales.

SkyWings have never had a firescales that only had it in parts, so the NightWings wanted to study him, and how it works. So, they did. He has a multitude of scars from surgical procedures in which the NightWings cut him open to take a look inside.

One day, they manage capture a SkyWing firescales to compare with him. This SkyWing is fresh out of the egg, already being subjected to the same horrors as Coal. Life continues, except the SkyWing is shoved in the cell with Coal, whom he takes care of. Obviously, he gets pretty attached.

Another day, another experiment. This one is nothing out of the ordinary, except for the fact it wasn't an experiment. It was an execution - for the SkyWing. It wasn't needed anymore, so they got rid of it.

Coal didn't hear about this until his best bud (who was like a 6 month old dragonet at time of death) didn't come back home to their cell that night.

That's when he just snapped- he wanted out. So he waited until the guards came to give him food, and 'accidentally' kicked a rock into the door, keeping it open. The guards didn't notice, so he snuck out that night. He swam, not knowing how to fly because that wasn't important for the experiments. Somehow, he was washed up on the shore of one of the continents. I haven't decided yet- that's all his lore so far!!

Azalea and Nex

A little piece of their lore that sums up their relationship

Nex saved Azalea when she was just a few years old, from then on he basically became her mentor. Training her hard and pushing her to become better so she would be able to fight and survive. He does so through strenuous training sessions and he is quiet strict and leaves little room for mistakes and will punish Azalea for her mistakes and train her even harder next session. Its whats best for her…

So if you didn’t see my post for Microphone’s design, My AU has this thing called Dracanthropy. It’s basically Lycanthropy but dragons instead of wolves. There are two types of dracothropes:

Lunar Dracothropes

A stereotypical werewolf situation cranked to a high. Every time they fall asleep at night, they go into their dragon form. If it’s a full moon (doesn’t have to be just one if it’s in Savior there can be two full moons), they go into a hybrid of normal and the dragon form which is basically them with wings and a tail, sharp teeth, and whatever abilities the dragon form has. If the dracothrope is skilled enough, they can go into any form whenever they want.

Pathos Dracothropes

Basically instead of the day-night cycle controlling the form, it’s the dracothrope’s emotions. If they feel scared or angry or anxious, they’ll go into either dragon form or hybrid form depending on how intense the feeling is (hybrid means the feeling is extremely intense). Like Lunar Dracothropes, they can control it if they’re skilled enough, but it will go rogue a bit. This type of Dracanthropy is extremely rare.

In the II X IOSAU, there are four Dracothropes. The objects in order of first to most recent bitten is:

Microphone: bit by Adam (a Dracothrope who works for the Starwings) and is a Siren/Night. She has the mind-reading teardrop and very strong hivemind song. Bitten because Adam thought the mind reading would drive her insane or she would go power-crazy with her hivemind song. He was wrong.

Nickel: also bit by Adam since he used him as a threat to hurt all of Mic’s friends (she then proceeded to beat him up). Nickel is an Ice/Night in his dragon form, with frostbreath and foresight. He kept his Dracanthropy secret for a long time because he kept having a reoccurring vision of him biting Balloon. He’s outed eventually and the vision does come true, but he’s comfortable openly speaking about his visions with others afterwards.

Balloon: Balloon is one of the rare Pathos Dracothropes. His constant panic of being a Dracothrope causes a lot of chaos (specifically him not being allowed to be in the hotel if he feels nervous so he doesn’t destroy it) he can control it pretty well but it still gets out of control occasionally.

Trophy: this one is kinda funny. Trophy wasn’t exactly listening when they were explaining everything that had happened to the objects that weren’t there when Taco was temporarily back at the II universe. Trophy was bullying Balloon when out of pure instinct and anxiety-induced rage he went dragon on him and bit his arm. Trophy didn’t even believe Nickel, Mic, and Balloon when they tried to explain it to him until he woke up with wings and a tail and was surprisingly about as tall as the trees in the forest! His dragon form is a Sky/Mud with fireproof scales.

In BFDI X IOSAU, there are two Dracothropes:

Pencil: Also bit by Adam as a way for One to psychologically torture her, her dragon form is a Sand\Ice with frostbreath. She does get a bit psychologically tortured, but she gets used to it eventually.

Needle: bit by Pencil accidentally when Needle falls and Pencil accidentally grabs her with her teeth out of instinct. She’s less skilled than Pencil and can’t control it often, but once in a blue moon she can control it. Her dragon form is a Night/Silk with normal silk and fire (oh god imagine calling her Needy while she’s in dragon form oh you’re just dead).

This drawing actually has a lot of symbolism hidden in it, try and find it all. But to find some, ull need just the tiniest bit of lore, just a smigen. About 800 years ago, there was a huge silentfeather(one of the dragon species) massacre, killing just about 12,000 dragons in just under 6 hours, all by one dragon. A scorcher (the only kind of dragon able to breath fire, essentially a wizard, but with every spell, they lose a bit of sanity, originally body but it was changed by that exact scorcher) who was nic named, “The Great Scorcher”. The Silentfeathers who survived either followed their new queen, Lotus, as the old queen just died, into hiding, because the Whiptails(another dragon species) would probably invade as soon as they heard. The ones who didn’t, most of whom, adored the great scorcher, amazed by her pure power, and decided that if they worshiped her, they might be granted those same powers. Every so often, a dragon born in their cult looked close to the great scorcher, and was deemed the next leader, being told that they could speak to the great scorcher, that everything they believed, she believed as well. But often, dragons outside of their cult would look like the great scorcher, which the cult took offense to, they would kill them as soon as possible, saying that if they didn’t kill that dragon, that dragon would be maimed much worse by the great scorcher than by them, like doing them a favor. The cult believes that a dragon, only one born identical to the great scorcher, in the cult, will be the great scorcher again, and when she grows up, she’ll give the cultist the same powers she has.

The character in the drawing is named Char.

"nightwings, they/them, raised by the seawings, animus (thanks to anemone) mind reader, her necklace hides her appearence to all outsiders till it gets broken by clay (accidentally) they are very smart and make tons of gadgets, queen coral took them in as her own when they found them in the summer palace when eclipse was 2"

Reading this today, gosh, I realize why I made eclipse. they were everything I couldn't be, they were with a woman when I couldn't be, they were smart when I felt anything BUT smart, they were friends with my favorite characters! their pronouns were mostly chosen to be different and unique when I felt like I couldnt be different and unique! I was in maybe 6th grade when I made Eclipse, and I had been reading wings of fire since fourth grade, I'm in tenth grade now. that's six years of wings of fire, and four years of eclipse... four years of change and they have grown with me through all of that! their lore is extensive and detailed now, what used to be one page and like six sentences is now like 40 pages of info! I made my own dragons before making Eclipse but they were the only one that's ever STUCK you know? sigh, they mean so much to me man anyway, happy OC-tober guys!

Scarlet and the Skywings: A discussion on fashion, politics and culture

Setting the scene - Skywings and the French

I won't pretend to know the Skywing kingdom inside out, but tailwind's section in guide to the tribes gives good insight to the kingdom's situation during Scarlet/Firestorm's reign. the extract suggests that the Skywing kingdom was an economically thriving center for the arts, as well as a kingdom which followed some semblance of an aristocracy with noble families and an upper/lower class divide - similar to the situation of pre-revolution France.

We must also consider the scope of how bad things actually were before/during Queen Scarlet's reign. Social class is never directly mentioned in canon, but it could easily be reasoned (from her + Queen Firestorm's behavior) that Scarlet's rule created tons of problems for the kingdom's commoner. between fighting 20 years of sandwing succession war, uprooting major cultural practices and dumping heinous amounts of money into self-portraits, it's safe to say Scarlet and her mother were probably the two worst things that could ever happen to the average working Skywing. Like this is the Queen who threw Osprey (A public figure old enough to be long loved) into a ravine for... teaching Peril the law.

Starved of kingdom funding, ripped from their culture and sent off to die in a sandwing war, I really feel that the Skywings deserved to crash out French style on their high society.

(That's not to say that I dislike the canon plot of the kingdom: in fact, I think it's good - it completes its duty as a plot device and still manages to make sense and be cool. If I was Tui, I would absolutely call it a day there. Lucky for me, I'm a tumblr artist and not a bestselling author. I get to write about violent revolutions.)

The revised timeline

Given the context on why I think the Skywings needed a good revolution, here's how I personally would've structured the timeline after Scarlet's rule, including the events of Escaping Peril. If you haven't read that book, I suggest skipping down to the next image.

Scarlet comes into power. Bad things happen to everyone. Skywings are pissed for 20 years, but between the war, economic issue and the fire demon (Peril) nobody really has the energy to revolt. They stay quietly angry, and (perhaps) form something similar to the chrysalis.

One day, the dragonets of destiny arrive - something happens in the arena and the tyrant is gone. The kingdom sits in aftershock for a moment, before springing into gleeful celebration. The real bloodbath is never for Scarlet - presumed to be dead or missing, they turn to the Skywing nobles who supported her instead. The WoF wiki states Skywings enjoy entertainment and fighting alike, so I like to think their last gritty celebration of freedom was making the (oppressive) aristocracy their last arena victims. Dragons like Tailwind (born into nobility but low-lying or unsupportive) were probably spared.

Queen Ruby is elected to be the new skywing ruler by default - some Skywings may feel hesitant or reluctant to have Scarlet's daughter in power, but tradition + scares of another sandwing-type war keep them from kicking her out. She does a great job, so it doesn't matter anyways and they love her.

Scarlet comes back in Escaping Peril, and for a brief moment the kingdom is turned upside down. Stories spread like wildfire, and the Skywing population are ignited with a new sense of rage at their old Queen's return. At this point, I don't even think Peril's presence would be able to stop riots and uprise on the streets.

Ruby challenges Scarlet and the canon ending happens, or Peril (somehow) realizes Ruby is Tourmaline another way and the fight can be avoided altogether. Instead, the nature of Tourmaline's erasure (using animus magic, changing her identity) is so offensively un-Skywing that the population snaps and jump Scarlet together, right then and there. She dies like Scar from the lion king.

Back to the fashion - high society

Plot lost, plot recovered. I will talk about fashion now - starting with that of the aristocracy (specifically during Scarlet and Firestorm's reign.)

Extravagant garments crown the nature of upper-class fashion: big bows, long dresses, feathered headpieces and fur wigs are what make you well-dressed here. Curiously, upper-class Skywing attire is not very Skywing at all: imports are in, tradition is out! The dragons of the aristocracy order pearls from the sea, pelts from the north and the finest tailors to put it together. As the sandwing succession war starts, trade deals are interrupted and these garments become rarer: more valuable.

Function and Logistics

These garments are generally viewed as unisex, with the urge to be best dressed outcompeting the urge to have gendered clothing within society. Most of them have intricate mechanical makeup, which is a landmark to the Skywings and their long history of design. Copper wires braided together are bent to form skirt cages, and headdresses are fashioned in place using a complicated network of leather bands and iron clips. Putting these outfits on would undoubtedly require a team of assistants: maids clip the headdress in place while tailors edit the radius of the skirt cage, fixing it in place with a small plume of flame. The final result is a splendorous, inconvenient piece of clothing meant to show your wealth and absolutely nothing else. I imagine that flying is near impossible with these garments (or - one can fly, at the expense of their gown) so most dressing and undressing is done within palace walls.

Queen Scarlet and her mother, obsessed with beauty, would likely uphold these garments as a uniform standard within balls and celebrations. Skywings were expected to look as best as they could, with absolutely no exceptions and a very deadly consequence for disobedience. Fashion is always, in some aspect, political; seeing this type of needless extravagance as a working-class Skywing would've undoubtedly sparked anger, and I'm sure the French revolutionaries would agree.

Clothing for the Skywings: past and present

As it tends to, the fashion of the elites will bleed into the world around it - and with the removal of their culture and tradition, the Skywings of the kingdom would most likely follow suit in how they dressed themselves - abandoning traditional garb in fear of Queen Scarlet, and adopting new fashion trends.

These trends would include simplified, practical versions of High-class clothing: petticoats and puff sleeves replace pearl necklaces, fitting in with societal expectations while still being functional. These coats could be used to store day-to-day necessities like gold coins, trinkets or herbal medicines, with the sleeves made from thinly stretched fabric. Some Skywings may choose to embroider their coats and shirts, or even wear a hat - a slightly impractical item which could be used to flaunt one's financial security. While this fashion is nice, I'm sure lots of Skywings would be old enough to remember their traditional wear: some may even have it in their home, tucked away in the attic with other relics of home.

I imagine these garments were much more fluid in shape: made to be beautiful and flyable, they consisted of long fabrics trailing down from the base of one's neck, made from local materials found on the mountain - feathers, wool, flower dyes etc. The clothes themselves were beautifully detailed through pattern, not shape: beads, embroidery and stitching could be used to create a high-class garment, which would be used during weddings or balls. Some hats may have also been present, although these would still be largely difficult to fly with. These clothes probably returned as the Skywing kingdom began to heal, alongside the old traditions buried under tyranny.

When sketching these garments, I looked to traditional Kazakh clothing for inspiration, as both cultures share their mountainous location and use of local material. I understand that Kazakh and French clothing are different fashions from wildly different cultures, and the only reason this really works is because I'm writing in the context of fictional dragon world and not real human world. I considered keeping the fashion solely French, but honestly they're both so beautiful I had to include Kazakh clothing too!

Choosing which cultures to investigate is always the hardest part about making these posts, and so I'm trying to incorporate a lot of diversity as I plan - and maybe even explore one tribe in the lens of multiple cultures.

HUMONGOUS GLITCHYKNIFE DUMP AAAAAHHHH

ALSO I've cooked up an entire glitchyknife wof au with lore and everything that I'm trying to write a bit, but it probably won't ever be finished or posted anywhere. but basically 3gs runs away from pantala, crashes into the ocean, and is found stranded on the beach by knife. he takes care of him and then they kiss and live happily ever after yaaayyy!!! probably takes place around 3,100-4,900 AS (some time after clearsight and before the tree wars) also it's cold and 3gs is constantly wrapped in fur and blankets and looks stupid. they'll travel south for the winter and fall in love in the rainforest❤️ sorry I just love wings of fire and glitchyknife and had to combine them

HOLY HECK, WE CAN INFO DUMP ABOUT OUR AUS HERE?!?!?! /Pos

Okay! Me and my sibling made an Au together called Dragontale, and imma dump the lore here. We've decided that there wasnt really a war, but since monsters have two forms, their usual monster form and a dragon form, humans began becoming dragon hunters, so the monsters hid underground to stay safe!

Most of the main og cast were the original hiders, like Asgore, Toriel and everyone's favorite character to debate on, W.D. Gaster! Sans and Papyrus were still lil guys back then though, so they don't really remember the change from above to underground.

Monsters can still technically go above ground, it's just very unsafe, so nobody really leaves.

Oh yeah, Undyne and Alphys were born underground lol.

Chara and Frisk are probably the only humans to have ever fallen, Chara being adopted by the Dreemurs and dying in some way we haven't decided on yet. Frisk is really interesting, cause they grew up in an orphanage hearing magical tales of dragon hunters, leading to them wanting to become a hunter as well, but once they fell down and actually met the dragons that they've wanted to kill for so wrong, they had a DRASTIC change of heart!

Color schemes for horns and tails, which all monsters have in their normal form, is based on soul traits, for example, Sans has yellow and light blue things! Dragons are usually that big, usually a wingspan can go from 10-45 feet, depending on the size of the monster.

Also, we've sorta based the dragon designs off of WoF dragons hehe, like, Undyne is seawing based, W.D. is Nightwing based, and all that :) /INFODUMP :D

Now that I think bout it, do the monsters have much room to actively shift to dragons? Cause living underground, i can imagine is kinda cramped, and they can't really fly as bigger dragons :(

LORE DUMP‼️‼️ Buckle up losers, I’ve got a new WoF AU and OCs to boot. Welcome to my shitty dragon crime drama.

It currently doesn’t have a title or anything, it just exists. Here’s the deets:

1. This story takes place several decades after Arc 3. A lot of canon characters still exist, meaning I’ll be referencing them and what they’ve become. Eventually I might develop this into a whole future AU, and write all the alliances and everything, but for now I’ll just mention some key players.

2. These characters live in a city called Unity. In A Guide to the Dragon World, Anemone mentioned wanting to build an intertribal city for MudWings, SeaWings and RainWings. Well, guess what! She did, and that’s Unity. Unfortunately, it’s hard to make dragons to get along, especially when generational wounds linger from the War of SandWing Succession. To make matters more complicated, many Pantalan dragons have settled in Unity, bringing with them unfamiliar ideas and abilities.

3. To outsiders, Unity is a gleaming beacon of hope for intertribal cooperation. Most visitors don’t stay long enough to witness anything more. Residents live in an entirely different world. Unity is ruled by multiple factions, known colloquially as Hordes. Hordes control anything and everything they can get their claws on. Some Hordes, inspired by the Outclaws of the Scorpion Den, try to maintain justice within Unity. Most exist to amass wealth and power.

4. Hordes may be intertribal or tribe-specific. Even those exclusive to one tribe may call upon agents from another for their unique abilities. Alliances are constantly shifting, and if you gain a reputation with the Hordes, it’s best that you make yourself forgettable—or risk getting swept up in their plans.

AND NOW FOR OUR CAST:

Iridescence is a sly RainWing-SilkWing hybrid living in the city of Unity. Her striking colors make her stand out in any crowd, but more striking is her reputation. She is notoriously clever, conniving, and coy, using her delicate appearance to lull others into a false sense of security. She primarily trades Pantalan imports, but under cover of night, she deals in more…sinister goods. Poisons are her specialty. With the help of Kudzu, her leafspeaking assistant, she cultivates dozens of toxic plants to use in her concoctions.

Kudzu is a reserved, cynical LeafWing. He hails from a small group of LeafWings who, resenting Queen Sequoia’s push for peace, left Pantala in pursuit of isolation. To avoid his parents’ preaching about Pantalan politics, he spent most of time studying the flora and fauna of Pyrrhia. He would later move to Unity, where he studied under a SeaWing doctor and eventually opened his own practice. Soon after, he began working with Iridescence, helping her make poisons in exchange for funding his studies. His true passion is medicine.

Salamander is a timid, quiet MudWing. MudWing troops are a common sight in Unity, but nobody knows which she hails from. Salamander prefers to keep it that way. Her Bigwings, Caiman, is one of Unity’s deadliest Horde bosses. Salamander is rarely involved with her sibs’ crimes—they consider her much too anxious to bring along—except when they need her fireproof scales. As of late, Salamander has been spending more time in Caiman’s neighborhood, raising suspicions about her loyalties. Fortunately, she has an alibi. Rumor has it that Caiman has developed smokesickness, a rare and potentially fatal disease. As one of Unity’s mail carriers, it’s simply Salamander’s job to deliver her medicine.
