So while listening to Episode 6's case, I remembered that during the early premiere stream Jonny and Alex talked about Needles a bit. So I figured I'd put them together to make a nice little intro for Needles because I fell in love with him immediately.

So I’ve been on my re listen of the magnus archives
And something that I’m thinking about allot is the “I see you” line, the way it’s used as an anchor. You have the obvious and wel known season 4 lonely “I see you, Jon” but I want to talk about the one in season 3
Because I lost my absolute marbles hearing that line in the season 3 finale. It is Jon suddenly being able to anchor himself and recognising the situation around him, seeing through the stranger.
But the most import part, is how it relates to Tim. Tim has previously stated that he can only be sure Jon is real. He doesn’t trust anyone because anyone could be a stranger, but Jon, Jon is real to him, he knows Jon can’t just be magically replaced.. that’s Tim’s anchor, Jon.
This is THEIR “I see you” moment.
Jon helps Tim Anchor himself which makes him able to recognise the situation and save everyone.
The phrase “I see you” is used in every season finale now expect season 5 (I think?). I don’t know if I’ve fully figured out what that narrative through line means (especially in the case of Sasha) but god is it intresting. Especially cus it’s every member of the original crew that gets the line in some way

the thing is that if jonathan sims and sydney sargent met, i do not think they'd get along. it'd be like epic rap battles autism vs. adhd. sydney would take one good look at jon and go "this man has zero sense of whimsy and fun i want him dead" and jon would take one good look at sydney and go "this man is dead. who did this. is he an avatar. i am scared get me out of this fucked up summer camp"
and if jonah magnus and elijah volkov met, it'd be a whole different kind of disaster. it would turn psychosexual before you can say sigmund freud. and they would both be hypocrites about it too just thinking "damn this bitch is crazy. i'm so glad i picked the correct religion, unlike her" about each other the whole time.
but if gertrude robinson and lucille bertuccelli met, it would be the best thing to ever happen to both of them. they would be best friends without ever expressing a single emotion towards each other. if they met, the world might go up in flames, though.

pov weirdly pixelated eddie is rizzing you up outside of a random shop where you 2 had some overpriced coffee machine drinks previously (5 seconds later he will trip over his shoelaces from keeping his excitement bottled up to seem more cool and youll have to catch him by the waist romantic style)
