i have always had more trouble with plastic bottles than glass ones. if it's small enough to fit in the palm of my hand— look out. blackout city, midnight express. you: i can fit your heart in the palm of my hand but it's only been good to me. how long can that last? how long can my hands stay clean? i wash them constantly— i pick up when you call— i do all the right things. even so: they have become so worn and so tired. is that how i'm supposed to remember you? the girl who finally got the better of my hands? couldn't you be kinder?

Sometimes writing about nothing important can actually BE important to writers. Writing nonsense on paper (separate from your books note book) can actually get the creative juices flowing. It can also be the safety net for a writer, because knowing something is not going into your book’s manuscript can be very liberating. An inspiration book is about letting go of perfection. It’s bout writing like no one will read it. It doesn’t have to be perfect.

Sinisterly Yours concluded, W. Ink named winners

After over a month of its run, Writers Ink’s special AU festival, Sinisterly Yours, concluded; winners and special awardees were named on the night of August 21, Sunday.

"For those who have had the heart of brave[ry] to partake in this sinister journey, we, Writers Ink congratulate you for surviving. Let us all raise our red-stained quills as commemoration for the last time. Till the next sinister event, Writers!" Writers Ink tweeted before they announced the winners of the event that started last July 2 with roughly 40 entries of Alternative Universe (AU) fictions from different fandoms and writers.

@chrmndrrrr was the recipient of the Unique Screamer, an award given to acknowledge the entry’s sinister twist, and at the same time landed on the top 4. @MortieBongie was awarded with the Frankenstein Award for a ‘mind-blogging’ title of their entry and concluded at top 7. First Screamer, an award given to a participant that completed their entry earlier than the rest of the participants was secured by @snkivers. The Fright of Night Award was awarded to @BMaestrXO ‘for embodying the theme of the fest’, while @MissAevi claimed the Sinister Award for best plot.

Top 4–10 winners will receive a 1 month YouTube Premium, P300.00 for 3rd place, P400.00 for  2nd place, and P600.00 for 1st place.

Writers Ink also hosted a Horror movie marathon based on their Tweet last August 20, a night before the awarding, with the participants of Sinisterly Yours Special AU Fest. 

“Last night was fun! With the fest nearing its competition, we hope that you enjoyed the movie night with us. The time we spent together was not long but it’s special,” W. Ink captioned in their tweet with an attached short video of the participants watching virtually via Discord.
