Sui Language Writing System
I always had a fascination for picture- based writing systems. Today I was reading a book about the languages of China and read a bit about the Sui writing system. I thought it was particularly cool looking.
https://omniglot.com/writing/sui.htm
Does anyone on Tumblr speak this language or know of any cool characters in it?

𝐒𝐄𝐍𝐒𝐄 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐎𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐒𝐏𝐄𝐂𝐈𝐅𝐈𝐂 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐂𝐀𝐍𝐎𝐍𝐒: Wolfgund Waidmanns
WHAT DOES YOUR MUSE SMELL LIKE ? Having lived for years as a servant to Asada who after all was infected with leprosy , Wolf had developted certaine habits in her hygiene that are easy to smell. Every morning and every evening she washes her whole body with vinegarwater. Every morning she puts fresh lavendelflowers into her fascia pectoralis to smell like lavendel and whenever she goes out of a house or into a new house she washes her hands ( and her feet, if she visits a muslim or jewish household, let alone a Holy place because Asada ain´t raised a barbarian) with a few drops of lavendelpoil that she carries in a small flask. Vinegarwater and lavendeloil are obviously antibacterial, antifungal, antiseptic and antiphlogistic and had been used since the antike for cleaning (in vinegarwaters case, it was even the clean-water-option for roman armies as the water was cleaned with the vinegar). Accordingly Wolf smells starkly of lavendel and on certaine times of the day also after vinegar.
WHAT DO YOUR MUSE’S HANDS FEEL LIKE ? Wolf can use as much lavendeloil as she wants to make her skin smooth, but as Poxscars cover Wolfs hands her fingers feel very rogue and uncomfortable to touch. Due to her work as a laysister as she is often doing the much harder work the nuns in their strictly tacted day could not go after, she also had build up thick corneal on her hands and fingers were no scattissue is present.
WHAT DOES YOUR MUSE USUALLY EAT IN A DAY ? After Asada was murdered Wolf lives as a laysister in a christian cloister, so her meals are those of the nuns she is working for- if there is not a lenten period and its not one of the 156 days of celebration she has two meals a day with flour-and-corn-groats, vegetablebrooth, herbstews, berries, cheese, bread and fruits. Every member of the cloister is given half a pound of black-bread daily to eat during this two meals. Flesh in any form is not often eaten inthe cloister especially not on a celebrationday. Normally she would also drink with water mixed wine or beer to the meals, but as Wolf has lived for years as a servant in a muslim household, she instead only drinks vinegarwater or tea. She never drinks only water, as this usually means drinking dirty water and noone wants to risk that. Wolf has the habit of binge- eating or hamstering food, when she notices that she has no food near. Which is a complete normal and suprisingly mild reaction considering she had been through months of starvation during the Peregrinatio Puerorum. Accordingly, as she had lived with those sympthomes already for over ten years, Wolf usually has a bar of walnut-Halva or hardcheese wrapped in a cloth in her beltbag which she eats of during the day, so she always has the security to have food with her and therefor feels safe.
DOES YOUR MUSE HAVE A GOOD SINGING VOICE ? As someone who lives in a very oral-tradition heavy society, Wolf has indeed a very good singing voice. Songs and music carry informations in societys where not everyone speaks the same language but especially where not everyone can read or write or read or write the different writingsystems used in Pisa. Accordingly Wolf can not only carry a tune but it is easy for her to come up with rhymes and melodies herself to memorize informations. She can also very well play the lyre and sing along.
DOES YOUR MUSE HAVE ANY BAD HABITS OR NERVOUS TICKS ? Wolf has the gross habit of scratching the poxscars on her cheek or suck on the scars in the left corner of her mouth when she is uncomfortable, thoughtful or bored. She is also a rather witty person and as every spiderman tends to quip constantly which might be very annoying for the people around her.
WHAT DOES YOUR MUSE USUALLY LOOK LIKE / WEAR ? Wolf lives in the era around 100 years away from where the clothes are slowly given more shape and instead of pulled over the head are fixed on by buttons and cords and which artists nowdays love to draw on medieval characters. Living in italy she has still byzantian influences on her clothes. So in her life as a laysister Wolf therefor wears a simple undyed linen tunica- interior down to her ankles that she can change daily, and a green dyed wool Dalmatik with shorter sleeves hich she cogs under her chest with cords. On a leatherbelt around her hips she wears a pouch for her belongings. As Wolf is a laysister she usually pulls up her undertunics sleeves and fixates them with leatherwraps to have her arms free for work. She also wears long woolsocks and fingerless woolglovs to soften the pressure on her scarred hands. Wolf has a rectangle woolcoat , but usually only wears it when its cold or when she has to hide. She is not married,so she is only hiding her hair under a cap when she is going to holy places.
In her spidercostume Wolf wears a kneelong redish dyed gambeson, a hauberk, and a shoulderarmorless leatherlamellar armor. She wears a red and a blue legling fixated around her shins with blue legwraps, flat leathershoes, a red Gugel and a helmet with a Grimme to hide her face. All of the clothes in this costume were given originally to Asada by Knights and Templars who after all had sworn a oath of poverty and therefor could only pay her their thanks with pieces of their armor. Thats also why the design of the helmet Wolf wears is distinctive over a hundred years old and most likely from denmark as it was probably a knights recycled heirloom. Wolf only dyed the pieces and painted the helmet, when she put the costume together.
Years later, when Wolf joins Friedrich II on his peaceful crusade, she wears the green and black tabbard of the Lazarus Order over hauberk and gambeson, but does not different in her attire from the other knights beside the colours she is wearing which means that she is wearing a polstered cap, a chainmail hood, a tabard a hauberk, a gambeson (usually a wooltunic beneath but the woman is already going for the heatstroke with the black tabbard) a chemise beneath, trousers collected around the knees with legwraps to keep ticks out, a latherbelt for bags and sword, and anklehigh cowleathershoes.
All in all it can be said that Wolf is not exactly stretching her societys norms of clothes. She wears what she needs to wear to do her work and thats all. If she would be something else than a propertyless laysister or a alchemists servant than she might would use her clothes to show her social rank or pretend she is of a different social rank than she is, but as she is very much propertyless there is nothing to show.
IS YOUR MUSE AFFECTIONATE ? HOW SO ? While Wolf is affectionately she is also not especially fond of touching people she is not specifically having romantical or sexual relations with and especially not if she had not washed her hands with lavendeloil before. Its something one picks up when living almost a decade with a with leprosy infected medicus. Wolf might pat someones shoulder and thats about it.
WHAT POSITION DOES YOUR MUSE SLEEP IN ? Wolf tends to sleep rolled on her stomach with her face pressed into a pillow. Sleeping in this position is a habit that had only developted after she had been bitten by the Spider, her skull had changed form and she had grown three more pairs of eyes. Her eyes are now specifically senstive to light and even starlight will be too bright behind closed eyes to make her fall asleep, so she burries her face in pillow to make her enviorment dark enough to fall asleep in. Wolf is a very restles sleeper adn will constantly roll around unless she os pressed down by a weight- that could be sevral blankets,a weighted pillow or a person.
COULD YOU HEAR YOUR MUSE IN THE HALLWAY FROM ANOTHER ROOM ? One only hears Wolf when she wants one to hear. Which mostly means that she sneaked up to someone and than made them jump out of their skin because she made a joke.

If there is one thing that separates the great achievers and average people, then it is persistence. Have you ever thought about how an advanced alien race could use a language? I sometimes find myself thinking about higher levels of civilizations in the universe. Maybe there are some civilizations out there using really cool 😎 symbols for their languages and communications. Who knows? Here is a possible alien language I am currently working on. This is called Izotonic Universe. I hope some movie producers can use it in their projects. 🔷🔷🔷 #fonts #fontstyle #language #alien #symbols #writing #conlang #conlanging #fontcreator #movies #writingsystems #developer #aliens #alienlanguage #alientattoo #art #artist #shape #beauty #drawings #space #universe #planets #ufo #mystery #movieproduction #conlanger #script #fontdesign https://www.instagram.com/p/B0Dy7pQB7Lb/?igshid=7u61778ui367

Rhythm, shapes, forms, letters composed in a round form express emotions. The origin and development of all early systems of messages adheres to a strikingly similar scheme. First of all, drawing is the source of the origin of writing throughout the world. Most signs of early writing systems are pictographic in origin. The fact that the Egyptian hieroglyph denoting "the sun" and the oldest Chinese character with the same nadpole means not that these two systems of writing are similar, but that they both started with attempts to draw the sun. #sun #drawthesun #circle #rhythm #shapeup #shapofyou #forms #pictographic #pictographicdesign #writingsystems #originalcharacter #originartistic #hieroglyphics #chinese #characterdesign #calligraffiti #graffiti #calligraphy #acriclicart #artoncanvas #artforinteriors #artforinteriordesigner #luxuryinteriors #luxuryinteriordesigner #veradg

Blissymbols s a constructed language conceived as an ideographic writing system created by Charles K. Bliss in 1949 and found use in the education of people with communication difficulties. Pasigraphy : is a writing system where each written symbol represents a concept (rather than a word or sound or series of sounds in a spoken language).

Reflection of the Video Entitled “#WordOfTheLourd – Baybayin”
After watching the short video clip showcasing Baybayin being committee-level-approved in the Philippines, I have reflected to agree to the few things mentioned in the video. The committee-level-approved House Bill No. 1022 or the National Writing System states that Baybayin will be the official writing system in the Philippines. What is Baybayin, you ask? Baybayin is the old writing system of the Philippines before the Spanish colonization. It was used by our ancestors back in the beginning of our history.
Having Baybayin brings great pride to us, the countrymen; because it is our own written language before any colonial influences that came to our country. But the question is that, “Would Baybayin be very accommodating to each and every Filipino if it will be used completely as the official writing system in the Philippines?” Because if you think of it, there are a lot of types of Baybayin. And one of the biggest issues here, which was also mentioned in the video, is that there are a lot of dialects here in the Philippines. Plus, there are missing characters in Baybayin that we all use a lot which are the letters “j, v, and, f.” Not to mention, it is very complicated to write. So, how can we start learning Baybayin considering all these contradicting factors?
It is very understandable that historians and major protectors of the Philippine culture are opposed to the declaration of this bill because if you really think of it, Baybayin is an information that is too much to be in-sync with in this modern age. Maybe it was easy back in our early history when times weren’t too complicated and our culture, still being virgin. But now, after being through years of colonization, influence is inevitable. Our culture became flexible; it became adaptable through countless changes, and has found the medium of written and spoken language that we all use up until this age. I’m not saying that Baybayin is impossible to learn and be used as the official writing system here in the Philippines, but is it really that necessary to the point where we change our current writing system?
For our culture’s preservation’s sake, it is deeply necessary and important. Neglecting such beautiful, ancient, and unique writing system of our ancestors is a foolish and disrespectful act for the modern Filipinos. It’s one of the biggest innovations of ancient communication. Maybe giving importance, recognition, and awareness to Baybayin to all Filipinos is needed, but for it to be our writing system now is not really necessary, in my opinion. It is a thing from our history, that us, millennials, are honored to know and treasure. But practically speaking, necessity of using it the official writing system is not customary.
