Self Aware Wuthering Waves (WuWa)

I don't think SAGAU WuWa is the correct term since SAGAU means self aware genshin au. I think SAWuWaAu is too long, ick.

ᯓ★ For you, you had simply started your gaming journey in WuWa. You made your account, stressed over choosing which rover to play as and entered the world.

ᯓ★ Ah but it was a very different case for the inhabitants of WuWa. Ever since you created your account and first set foot albeit in the Rover's body, there was a sort of sound, a vibration or a frequency that could be heard all over the land, the seas and the skies. Something the inhabitants almost glossed over and the resonators find themselves straining their ears and using their gadgets/gourd to hear.

ᯓ★ It was muffled at first, barely audibly or translatable. Perhaps it was because you were still but a weak human? god? a monster? they have no title for you, yet.

ᯓ★ Of course over time as Rover got stronger, and your union level rose, the frequency they could hear was much clearer. It was a sort of frequency that seemed to come from your mood, your voice, and your area.

ᯓ★ Sometimes they could hear music or disgruntle sounds, and a word clicky noise (keyboard/mouse for laptop players). Sometimes they could hear foreign music, sometimes with rather.. colorful language.

ᯓ★ but sometimes they could hear you, your voice.. Mostly during the times you had something to say, to comment or complain-

"Shit, Rover no!"

or to compliment..

"Lord Scar is just *lip bites*"

ᯓ★ Your frequency is familiar yet strange all together for the sentinels of the world, your sound is familiar to a friend long ago, but again it was different.

a/n: my heart was stolen and sadly enough, i'm not loyal to jiyan anymore😔

He's such a gentleman.

I can see him as someone who's really sweet and caring towards his partner.

The type that would definitely bring flowers to your first date. Then, buys different gifts that you would like once he's gotten to know you better.

He has a list of the things you're interested in based on your conversations with him—whether it'd be games, books, shows, etc. He memorizes them so he can give gifts later.

If it's not obvious enough, his love languages are gift giving and quality time.

No matter how busy he is, or how he loves to be couped up in his lab, he will make time for you.

You need him to pick you up? He's on his way. You need necessary items? He's checking out. Need cuddles and attention? Yes please, consider it done.

He wouldn't mind you coming to his workplace, he'll let you stay in the lab while he does his research.

The one time you accidentally knocked his crucible off the table your heart dropped.

He saw your scared expression—your eyes so shiny with your tears begging to stain your cheeks—but he never had the intention to yell at you like you were a kid to begin with. He knows better that it was all an accident.

He approached you and there you started rambling about how it happened and apologized repeatedly until he picked up both your hands and asked, "Are you hurt?" with the most gentle voice you've heard and a worried look. You melted!

He loves to secretly and not-so secretly take pictures of you. He has a camera specifically for you only.

He loves to make plans ahead—for tomorrow, next weekend, next month, heck, even next year and years ahead. He even slipped out his plans of getting married to you and having kids and such. Boy, you never thought it was possible to see how red he can be.

He's always so calm and keeps a cool head. Even when you're yapping about your day and such, he'll attentively listen to you. However, his habit of watching you talk always gets to you and annoyingly, he doesn't get it. His face would look so soft, his gaze is gentle and he always puts a smile.

"Don't look at me with those eyes!" "What eyes?" Definitely happened.

He just can't help it. The way you get excited, or have that angry pout, it was all too adorable for him. He's just so in love with you.

If you're the one to tease him, expect lots of stutters and blinking eyes. He can hide his blush all he wants but the sudden silence and avoiding eye contact are obvious hints he's flustered.

When you patted Xiang-LEE's head when you are fully aware that Xiangli Yao was taking control, he went speechless and stumbled with his words.

But when you patted his actual head, he malfunctioned. He could not maintain eye contact with you at all after that.

Another thing he loves is when you play with his soft hair, but he gets way too shy the whole time no matter how hard he tries to stay calm. If he feels comfortable enough to succumb to the embarrassment, he buries his head into the crook of your neck to hide his blushing face.

If you tease him too much, he might actually burst his bubble.

He usually doesn’t show physical affection but when he does it's heavy.

Kisses your back whenever you're wearing something revealing or when you're in front of him.

“What’s this about dear?” You chuckle at Geshu Lin seeing his narrowed gaze when he picks up your chin.

“Just wanted a closer look.” He said his lips parting, staring at you.

Writers note: Back at it again with writing I wrote at 1am on my Kindle that I cleaned up in the morning ‼️

Possible Warnings: I accidently implied a bit of a more yandere tone, but it’s not that mentioned and can br easily ignored. Reader is Rover (this is important to like two parts), but you can imagine being called whatever name you like since I didn’t actually mention readers name.

- He finds you interesting at first: You being an outcast yet so important is quite interesting, yes?

- He believes there is no reason for you to reject the offer to join the Fractsidus, you're an outcast anyways, why not embrace it?

- Your resonence ability is being able to emit mercury, that can only harm those around you and doesnt harm you at all. He finds quite a bit of use in this... (stay far away from this man. The way he admires your mercury is NOT normal.)

- Despite you not wanting to work along side anyone (in fear you’ll hurt them when you use your ability), he constantly tries to get you to join him. Nobody else works with you, so why not work with him? (He refuses to accept that you prefer to be alone.)

- The way you seem to never sleep (he sometimes sees you walking around during the night, for hours on end occasionally...) is another part of you that he finds interest in. How can one stay awake so long, yet fight like they have the energy of sleeping for days?

- If you accept the offer to join the Fractsidus, you probably still avoid the members. No worries, though! Scar will get you to be more social (even just with him. No need to talk with Phrolova.)

the general of the midnight rangers is a pretty tough guy; he understands that you’re a sight for sore eyes, so of course people are going to look at you. 

i don’t imagine him getting very jealous, he knows that you can handle your own and trusts that you wouldn’t flirt back with any of the people that try to hit on you.

but, if someone’s flirting with you for longer than a few minutes, or you’re looking uncomfortable, he’s quick to stir into action.

after all, you’re his partner, no one gets to flirt with or dote on you except him. 

will smoothly slip a hand around your waist, give a quick glance at whoever’s hitting on you, and usually one look is enough to drive anyone away since he’s in a position of power in jinzhou. 

if for some reason they’re stupid enough to fight back on him, that’s when he’s quick to snap back, mentioning how you’re his beloved and to back off. 

jiyan will always turn to you and ask if you’re okay after anyone flirts with you, wanting to make sure you’re not uncomfortable.

he’s kind of like a dragon in that sense, guarding his lovely treasure with a level of protectiveness. 

he sometimes gets jealous also when you’re gone for long period of time or vice versa, because he loves spending quality time with you and being unable to do so makes him jealous of those who can spend more time with you.

after he’s done being jealous, the feelings subside quickly and he quietly will hold your hand for a while, as if to let people know to back off. 

overall jealousy score: 4/10, not easy to stir to jealousy but will be protective and stand up for you if you need him to. knows you can handle your own and that you’re strong enough to deal with the situation.

he loves having your attention, so when you’re getting flirted with or your attention is elsewhere, he gets very pouty very fast. 

you’re meant to only have eyes on him! how can you be talking to someone else?

“love why were you talking with them and not me? :c” “scar that was a child-”

if someone has the guts to flirt with you while he’s around, he’s there in a flash and stands behind you protectively like a bodyguard. 

very confrontational. he’ll tell them that you’re taken and that you have the best boyfriend in the world so he suggests they piss off. 

will not hesitate to get physical and fight someone if it means protecting you and getting someone to lay off the flirting.

the only way his jealousy will subside is if you give him the attention he wants or tell him to stop getting upset before anything escalates.  

he’ll immediately comply, even if he’s resistant or grumbling about it. 

scar just wants to make sure no one else makes a move on his beloved, and even the simple idea of someone taking you away is enough to make him see red. 

gets clingy when he’s jealous too, always wants to reassure himself that you’re his and his for life. 

overall jealousy score: 10/10, it doesn’t take much to rile him up, and he gets very snappy when anyone even dares to look in your direction. you’re his and his only. some kisses and sweet words of affirmation will calm him down fast though.

in the middle of the pack when it comes to being jealous. 

the main reason he gets jealous is because of possessiveness, but he’s almost never vocal about it. a silent guardian of you. 

he can control his temper well, but his whole aura changes when someone even gets close to you, and it’s enough for most people to turn away from even flirting with you.

however, one touch from someone other than him and he’s ticked.

quickly grabs their wrist with a strong grip and gives them a deadly look. 

“leave.”

his voice is deep and drips of venom, and if looks could kill, they’d be dead in an instant.

afterwards, he silently will just give you a nod and the two of you will go back to whatever you were doing. 

he gets on the defensive though after someone flirts with you once during an outing, and he’s almost hyper aware of everything going on around him now. 

is also the type of person where, if someone’s persistent with their flirting with you, or if you tell him that you’re uncomfortable with the other person, he’ll simply nod his head in acknowledgement. 

the next day, they’re either dead or seriously injured, and it’s the talk of the town; you know he was the cause of it. 

he won’t mention anything about it unless you say something, and if you do, he’ll huff. 

“no one makes my lover uncomfortable.” 

overall jealousy score: 7/10, not very vocal about it and is level headed, but if someone dares to try and flirt with you, he’ll turn the scene dark fast.

Hoyofam at award shows. [the mobile game awards.]

A couple months ago, HSR got nominated for mobile game of the year at the mobile game awards 2024. Along with the people’s choice and best storytelling categories. His sponsor and nominator; Genshin was helping him with his victory speech, and just overall helping him.

“UGH, why do I have to practice my speech…? I don’t even know if I’m going to win!” Hsr said, slumping on the table.

“And if you do win, you’re going to look foolish if you don’t know what to say in front of all those people. We don’t want a repeat of last year when you won the game award for best mobile game… Not to mention the other award you weren’t able to claim on stage because you were hiding in the bathroom…” Genshin said, reminding him how difficult it was to get him out of the bathroom that Genshin had to sedate him in order to get him home.

HSR could only groan, burying his head in shame.

Days later, the evening of the event arrived. The entire hoyofam was invited as hoyoverse got nominated for best developer.

The fam were getting ready, dressing up in pretty dresses and fine suits…except for the one person that’s supposed to be receiving most of the rewards…

HSR was ripping off the suit that they had just recently tailored for him. It was too itchy, he claimed. Too tight and suffocating.

“Why do I even try with you, anymore…” Genshin said, as he bought one of his own suits to lend HSR.

HSR disliked wearing new suits, and opted for just wearing the ones that Genshin has, since they’re usually worn down, with him using them so many times.

Genshin thought it was ridiculous, and that he would someday mature and grow into liking suits more… but alas seems his baby bro is too much of a man child…

Good thing Zen was being great, and actually wearing a suit to his first time attending an award show. Though… he might get blinded by all the flashing lights. But it should be fine.

Once it was time to go, the fam hop into the limo and drive off to the venue. At the entrance, paparazzi were getting ready to snap pictures of the fam, flashing lights everywhere. Genshin was the first to get out, then Honkai, Themis, Zen, and finally… Star. The lights were flashing sm that Zen had to hide his eyes to shield away from all the glare. Which will make hilarious and cute pictures of him to be posted online.

At their table, they were seated in the front row, sharing a table with kurofam. [Pgr and wuwa]

Pgr was sponsoring wuwa for game of the year.

“Raven.” Genshin said, greeting the gal. “Is that really wuwa…? He’s gotten… taller.” He pats wuwa’s head, surprised at how much the boy he used to babysit had grown up.

“I go by W, now. Just you wait… there’ll be a time where I’m taller, handsomer, and more successful than you!” W said, being cocky. Though it earns him a chop to the head by Raven.

“Sorry, he can’t help it, he was programmed to hate you.”

“It’s fine. I’m actually glad he’s doing better than all the other ones that were meant to ‘kill’ me.” He pinches W’s cheeks. “Good job, buddy. I really can learn a lot from you.”

W only yells at him, pushing his hand away.

“Gege… why do you put up with this pretentious brat…?” Zen asked, staring daggers at W.

“Well… if it isn’t snoozefest. Are you really part of hoyofam??? You’re a tad too boring aren’t ya?” W said, tryna pick a fight.

“At least I don’t need to attach my name to being an already successful games’ ‘Killer’.”

“You’re only famous because of your famil-“ Raven shuts him, by covering his mouth.

“I apologize… this is really just how he’s wired…”

“No need, I apologize for him as well.” Genshin said, looking at Zen, motioning him to apologize for his words.

He does so, and bows his head. Although reluctant and lacking in enthusiasm.

The event starts, and they all take their seats. Though SR should be grateful for the opportunity, he can’t help but feel a lil degraded, being matched up with an angry tween.

“So, you’re my opponent, huh?” W asked, but SR only ignores him. “My victory will be even sweeter once I know I’ve defeated Genshin’s brother.

Ah, there it is again… being referred to as ‘genshin’s brother’, again.

“You’re so going down.”

“I wanna go home…”

scar-centric headcanon!

(mostly for the readers who are simping or genuinely like his characters)

warning: since i posted this in the first patch, he might seem ooc in the future.

ᯓ★ in headcanon pt#1 in this series, there's a short line where you practically simp for him, this continues on here- plus im biased for him at the moment ehehehehhe

ᯓ★ So they can hear you now, through your frequency, your voice is a bit garbled still but it's understandable. So it was very awkward and a bit annoying for scar when he first made his grand entrance to the rover!

"Guess you won't need need my self introduction-"

and you're probably like "oh my god, oh my god, oh my god!"

and he nearly messed up shuffling his deck of cards when you squeal and dote over him.

"it's scar!" (a line for those who were already aware of his existence through leaks and being updated in the fandom)

"he's so attractive!" you'd dote on his hair, his scars, and his voice.

"what the fuck-?" he looks at Rover who looks dead inside as you continued to gush.

ᯓ★ and again, he's bothered how chatty you are when he fights.

ᯓ★ butttt he gets used to it, and plus the compliments and the doting? he couldn't really complain.

he basically ate those shit up!

ᯓ★ and then in the future he gets so smugged about it, he's sure he is one of your favorites.

ᯓ★ but its a dang shame your frequency is attached to the rover, and he could only hear it clearly when he's nearby.

ᯓ★ Your affection towards him simply proves he was just that charismatic to get a disembodied voice to like him!

ᯓ★ He'll take your positive opinions of him as a sign that his and his group's plan is totally right! and he becomes even more confident!

ᯓ★ He'll probably be more interested and stalky with the rover when scar realizes that the frequency was strongest when he is near the rover!

ᯓ★ its a dang shame your frequency is attached to the rover, and he could only hear it clearly when he's nearby. it's even more a shame when Rover rejects to join him/them.

ᯓ★ So yeah, Rover kinda wishes you were physically there, with your own body ofc, to get that predator off their back!

ᯓ★ speaking of Rover, Scar probably uses the fact that you're so smitten with him to try and coax the Rover to join him.

"don't you want to make them happy?" Scar asked with a smile.

But Rover immediately shuts down that idea, "I want them to shut up about you honestly."

➥ You know, Scar would think that as soon as you see his monstrous (boss) form your compliments for him and doting would cease, and maybe you'd feel fear, or disgust or repulsion for him.

➥ but then, the minute he transforms, you let out a sound. sadly it wasn't one of fear or horror, but simply and yet again-

awe.

Like pure awe, your frequency was almost drowned out by the fighting, but everytime he got close to the Rover, even when he had round house kicked the main character or legit smacked them on the ground several times, you keep complimenting him!

"Oh god, he looks so cute and cuddle-able!" you'd squeal.

No he did not look cuddle-able, he was threatening! he was scary!

"and his attacks are so cool! he's legit pumelling me down to the ground!" you'd say in an almost adoring way.

➥ he'd be confused for a second or more wondering why you were referring to Rover as yourself.

➥ And then there's this strange aura, sound from the rover, like two frequencies combined together in some sort of symphony or melody.

➥ The rover felt like a different person, and as their mouth moved, he can hear your voice! "sorry Scar baby, I have to beat you" you'd say in an almost confident way as you controlled the Rover and fought with him in a more serious manner.

➥ As you fight, you'd still compliment him, admire his attack style, his short cutscenes, and talk over his lines.

"he's such a cute psycho"

➥ and you probably have a few screws loose as well if you're simping for him (no offense, I am too)

➥ and you know, with the amount of how much you fawn over him he might as well call you a fawn (young deer)

➥ you'd be kinda sad you can't accept his offer to join him, and that would be awkward for Rover, the magistrate and her loyal right hand woman!

➥ and maybe, scar started to like you a bit more. cause hey, you were willing to join him and his group's cause! if only you were the one in control of the Rover's body..

officially I shall be referring to the Self Aware Wuthering Waves au as SAWuWa, i saw someone use this tag so might as well for consistency 𖹭

Also asks are now open, I haven't set rules and guidelines, but if you have any requests please be about Wuthering Waves, I'm fixated on that, I'll try to accomodate other characters by researching them, I've only only been paying attention to Scar and Rover tbh-

ᯓ Now that we focused on scar, let's focus on the actual main character of wuthering waves!!

ᯓ Now everyone is certainly confused, enthusiastic, curious and in awe of the frequency that has been taking over the lands. But our Rover here isn't for the most part, especially at the beginning.

ᯓ sure you say the funniest, out of pocket and confusing things depending on what's happening, and your commentary brings some color to their life (if you're talkative) or how those clicky sounds bugs them or how the music in the background makes them hum along

ᯓ you were stuck in their head, at first, when they first woke up, disoriented, with no memories and in a place they didn't feel safe or familiar with! and then they stat hearing you! Any sane person would be totally afraid!

ᯓ When you first started to talk, they were wide-eyed and shock, base on your words, you could see what they could see, hear what they could!

ᯓ It was overwhelming, so much that they had to wonder if you were the true owner of this body, especially when they felt that someone was controlling their body. And when they first explained it to the people they first met (Yangyang and Chixia), they looked at them weirdly like they were a bit crazy, so they backtracked and joked a bit, saying it was probably just their imagination so they wouldn't leave them in the wilderness, alone.

ᯓ But now, now everyone in the world, even the TD can hear you through your frequency, and they weren't worried that they were a lunatic now since they could hear it too! but then people started to ask them "what do you hear?" "what are they saying?" "what kind of person are they?" they didn't think to ask them how they were feeling with having this voice in their head.

ᯓ Rover often felt more like a puppet, a tool, rather than their own person, it was bad enough having no memories, but now someone was sharing their (or maybe they weren't the owner of this body--???) body!

ᯓ and then there were that people that regarded them like an experiment! or something that they had to be cautious about, they were cautious of your voice, your frequency, and possible power, and since you were mainly attached to the Rover, their eyes turned to them.

ᯓ the students and professors at the school nearly experimented on them, interrogated them.

ᯓ and then there was Scar who was clearly stalking them to get to you

ᯓ have mercy on the Rover

ᯓ they are definitely praying that you get your own body in the future, preferably sooner than later.

Themis:

I like to think that Themis mostly interacts with the other Chinese otome games. And she’s friends with most of them, despite how competitive they are with each other.

Greatly respects international based otome games,

She recognizes that all of them have the same or similar fanbases

But everything changed when love and deepspace got into the market… At first, it was fine… especially since new games flood into the market pretty often. She wasn’t too worried… but then; He started getting more popular… gaining traction… she was still fine with it, a lil good competition is good after all. Then… he became no.1 on downloads worldwide… This was when she started to panic a lil bit. Okay, not just a lil bit… it was driving her insane. She asked her brothers to do something about it… yk… Makes him disappear. But typical brotherly fashion all they said to her was; No, that’s unethical. SINCE WHEN HAVE THEY EVER CARED ABOUT ETHICS… She’s interacted with the new guy here and there, but it was purely professional. She hated his handsome, bad boy-esque charm! He’s such a… a playboy! Shamelessly flirting with her in front of the press, cornering her in a secluded hallway…SHE HATES HIM, OKAY?!?!

Within the family; her and hi3 are best friends, she shops for and decorated zzz’s room, She likes to buy fashionable stuff for hsr, along with hygiene and bath stuff for him, genshin’s TWIN who she could rely on,,, uses her bro’s connections more often than she should

Genshin

Doesn’t have any worthwhile relationships outside of family.

Him and pgr are sort of friends

Hoyofam and kurofam get along quite nicely despite being pinned as competitors in the press

It’s nice to think that he sort of mentors and guides wuwa,,,

Him and hsr are always on pedestals during award shows,,, it’s kinda funny when the real competitors are just themselves

Very nice and courteous to other people when he thinks the vibes are right,,,

Everyone else hates him

Inside of the family; he spends most time with zzz, He talks to themis the most, him and honkai have a mom/big sis/ grandma relationship where he reminds her to take her meds, tells her to tone it down a bit when she’s being too loud, gets coddled and taken care of by the most. Relationship with hsr tends to be a bit rocky and tense at times,,, they aren’t too sweet with each other like they are with their sisters,,, cuz yuck yk. But they are the funniest with each other. They have the most insane brother lore ever

Hi3

A bit of a playgal, but also sort of a loser and the same time…? The hoes love her tho

Was one of the few anime gacha games at the time [I think?] So she was a bit of an outcast

She was already on the video game hall of fame, but she wasn’t too popular. Atleast not as popular as she is today

She has a loyal fanbase that she adores

Made tons of friends during her working days that she doesn’t talk to that much anymore

Inspired a lot of games’ release.

A lot of the people that she meets that are like super successful now are all like “omg you were literally such an inspiration to me, growing up.” And she always feels so old cuz wtf wym you were inspired by her 7 years ago…?

Family; she raised them for Christ’s sake! Not the most maternal parent figure. She didn’t really know much when she was raising genshin since she herself never had a mentor/parent figure. She didn’t raise Themis much since I mentioned in my previous posts that she stayed in this big hydro chamber thing for the first year of her life. Which is why her relationship with Themis is a bit more friend-like since she didn’t have to act like a parent. With Hsr tho, she went full on mom mode. It was her mini me after all! The vessel that will continue her legacy through her retirement and death! She got the hang of it and did take care of him pretty well. With ZZZ tho, it was more like she was the aunt rather than the sister. Not much different with how she raised hsr but she became a lot more chill and secure.

Hsr:

In professional spaces he was always referred to as: Genshin’s brother.

It annoyed him allat, it def didn’t help that he was literally always by his brother’s side

People would approach him, asking about his older siblings

In conventions he’s a bit shy and nervous speaking to large crowds

He got used to it and started liking attending events with all his fans.

Not social with other games but really wants to hang out with them

People hate his brother so much that they don’t want to be associated with him…[ he feels sad about it but also sort of feel bad for his bro]

For his siblings; zzz, an annoying lil bro that just won’t stop pestering him. Themis; buy him stuff! Genshin; his brother, dad, and bestfriend all in one. Hi3; grandma.
