[Both versions of the flag are primarily composed of nine stripes, with the odd stripes (first, third, fifth, seventh, ninth) being thinner than the even stripes (second, fourth, sixth, eighth). The even stripes fade from dark grey at the top to light grey at the bottom, and the odd stripes display the colors of the catgender flags (being different between each version). In the center the two different catgender flags’ symbols are laid over each other; the cat face-like symbol is colored olive green, whereas the paw print-like symbol is colored blood red. In the very center of the flag, over the catgender symbols, is the Homestuck symbol for Leo in white.]

Variation of catgender associated with Leo (the western zodiac), the variety of Felidae (domestic vs. wild vs. big cats etc.), the contrast between cats being both cute and silly as well as excellent predators, and/or the track Walls Covered in Blood. May also be used as an alterhuman identity.

more xeno troll things... i love the concept of a modified lower jaw and skull in general :)

my trolls are built similarly to like... a combination of salamanders/frogs, bugs, and hyenas. nepeta here is shown with a more salamander-esque head shape, as opposed to the usual thicker foreheads trolls have designed for headbutting. this is more of a stylistic choice than anything, as i was focused on drawing the mouth this time around!

hey, homestuck fans. do YOU like when homestuck characters are drawn as freaky aliens? well, do i have news for you!

this is a blog catered towards those of us in the fandom that enjoy everything xenobiology and xenosociology in relation to homestuck!

as is implied by the premise, this blog is focused on the alien species of homestuck-- trolls, carapacians, leprechauns, cherubs, et cetera. there's no ban on other types of requests, such as ones involving humans and the ever-so-popular gender/sexuality headcanon requests, but the focus is intended to be on everything alien in nature, so keep that in mind. this is also not limited to just homestuck: i am more than willing to do hiveswap requests!

requests will not always be open, as this isn't just a request blog. when they are, though, you can format them like this:

hey, i was just wondering what's up with those giant claw fingers you draw trolls with? and gamzee's with fins and gills even when he's a landweller? thanks!

bare face gamzee because I'm too lazy for clown paint tonight, avert your eyes lol The level of xeno I bother to put into troll drawings varies depending on my mood but here are some of the most common things I put in my art

The big claws just feel really fun--normal claws are plenty dangerous, but it seems very trollish if it's physically HARD to be gentle or nonthreatening with your hands--it's a physical effort to be careful, when your entire fingertip is a chitinous claw with limited flexibility. They're horn-colored because I like how that looks, lol.

Hair that trails down the back of the neck and down the shoulders/arms, especially as blood color gets warmer.

Trolls with worse nutrition or caretaking habits having paler/flakier horns and claws.

I like to give trolls pupils reflective of their lusii! Goat-eye Gamzee, slit-pupil Nepeta, cuttlefish pupils for Feferi, etc.

RE: Gamzee specifically, I started drawing him a long time ago with half-seadweller traits because of his lusus/sign, capricorn. So he gets long ears with half-fins and dud gills. Sometimes if I'm feeling spicy I try to draw him with digitigrade legs but I'm bad at those so I often don't bother

I have lots of thoughts about fun options for gender on alternia but suffice it to say I intentionally try to mix up which trolls have curves or don't, relative to pronouns. don't try to tell me these pansexual aliens have strict sexually dimorphic anatomy that determines their societally-acceptable gender, Hussie!!! don't come into my house and try that shit!!
