Thinkin about tf141 underestimating reader to the point of dumbification and when it's time to bring you on mission, they let you stay covered.

You obey- obviously, not because you agree with their thoughts about you, but because you didn't want to mess stuff up.

But when they get caught and their last hope is days away without counting you in.. well, everyone please brace yourself and buckle your imaginary seat belt up, because we're in for a wild ride.

Let's just say that reader is the opposite of the word dumb. With little gear (because the bastards left scraps) and a mildly good weapon you took the enemies down. One after the other, falling like domino, with nothing to halt the collapsing.

And when you're done, you wildy grin at your bruised and tied up teammates.

(I only get 12 options, so I focused on mainline ones only AND only single player ones. I think not many people hold FFI-FFIII as their favourites so I put these out in order to be able to fit everything else. I'd prefer for people to vote based on the "original" game- So, discarding stuff like the 30000 other games in the FFVII saga for example. Remasters are ok to vote for tho.)

one of the things about imprisoned XII and uika more broadly is that i love people in the exact same way she does, that overwhelming obsessiveness, the need for enforced exclusivity, the intense changes in viewing the love, knowing the right kind of love is impossible and yet not being able to not try constantly, like i do all of these things, and there is a possibility that i am reading into things that are not there to see her more like me but like i dont think any of this is a stretch

This weekend (5/17-19/2024) my parents and I journeyed through central Illinois seeking evidence of the 2024 double emergence of periodical cicadas, Brood XII and XIX! Our mission was to

1) take clear and detailed photos for citizen science apps

2) go to locations cicadas had NOT been seen yet to search for them

3) go to locations cicadas HAD been seen to verify their presence.

We used Cicada Safari (recommend!) and also iNaturalist (highly recommend!) to map our path… and boy oh boy, our mission was HIGHLY successful. 5/5 of our planned stops had cicadas in varying numbers - from a single sighting in a small woods near the Illinois River to thousands singing in a central public park in Jacksonville. I'm not able to confidently ID them to a species level (there are actually 7 distinct but similar species in the genus Magicicada), but I still took tons and tons of photos. If you are confident in your IDing skills please DM me and I'll share my iNaturalist account with you!

On the way down we listened to the Ologies episode "Cicadology with Gene Kritsky" (recommend!) and also an episode of 30 Animals That Made Us Smarter on "Cicada and safe surfaces". I also listened to "Cicadapalooza" from Sidedoor, a podcast by the Smithsonian on my own time and got even more cool insights.

This was probably one of the best vacations I've ever taken because we were just driving around and looking for bugs!!! Would you ever go on a road trip just to look for a specific bug?

The Hands of God

Currently thinking about Medic Reader saving lives and resuscitating soldiers who are at the brink of death like nothing. As if you were simply looking at a pitiful child with no candies and filling their basket to the very brim, letting the child skip away in joy.

Soldiers and other medics call you Medic (x), The Hands of God. Every patient that was assigned to you came out alive and well, without exception. No matter the situation.

That's why you got assigned to many secret task forces and suicide missions, you never failed to get one more breath than the enemy and with you, the whole team.

Now, think about Medic Reader saving Johnny. Yeah, bye.

It feels so strange and unfair that being aware of how problematic my tendencies and desires can be doesn’t stop me from having them. My deep desires to find someone who will love me that I can latch onto, obsess over, keep all to myself and never let go are obviously red flags that would make having a healthy relationship difficult, but that doesn’t stop me from feeling that way. I hate being alone I don’t want to be alone I want someone who will be mine who will never leave me. I keep obsessing over a certain song about imprisoning the object of your obsession so she can never run away because it speaks to me and that scares me. I’m horribly jealous and clingy, and I can’t really imagine myself being anything other than that. When I think about this and how it will cause me so many problems in my future relationships I just feel so hopeless and alone. I don’t know why I’m even posting this. Just need an outlet I guess. Whatever of you followed me you’ve signed up for seeing ramblings like this sometimes so enjoy or leave I guess

I want to suffer while dying. I’ve already been doing some light hanging recently. If we opted for drowning, I’d tie anchor neck to my bathtub drain so I couldn’t pull away.

i get it, i tried hanging myself on the stairs maybe a year ago, i think, and it did feel good, for the first few moments before i panicked, that is. it’s a classic, almost a bit cliche but still very beautiful in my opinion.

ahhhh the relief i just felt after deciding avery convinces the veilguard crew that the veil's gotta go (if for no other reason than besides it's the practical, prudent thing to do given its state and nature)(lol and lmao at 'veilguard') and they all figure it out amicably (or at least nonviolently) while facing the larger threat and solas helps clean up the south (after putting up like one million more wards around the black city) and then when the dust has settled he and avery go soothe the blight tesseract thing (takes a few centuries) and then-- ok i'll stop

is it as high tension as the narrative in canon? nope! but it felt like getting in a warm bath
