All over his face felt like it was an exaggeration. Ed was well aware that the blood was there, at all, starting to dry and definitely needing cleaned up, but it wasn't everywhere. It didn't look like he just walked out of the latest Scream movie or something else equally dramatic. There was a decent cut to his head from the fight he'd gotten in that was bleeding a lot more than it had any business to, but at best it was more like half his face had some streaks of blood to it. Wide streaks, that went down the length of his face, but it wasn't really that bad.

"I thought I had too much in my body and would let some of it out." he deadpanned instead, before immediately trying to step around Mustang to find a bathroom and wash it off. Or even a water fountain that would earn him several confused and concerned looks. It would work well enough, he guessed, "Don't you have, you know, work to do or something? What do you want?" something that hopefully didn't involve checking in on him, again, and asking questions...again. Different from the obvious attempt to start a conversation, that Ed was already kicking himself for falling into and stuck with now. More like the probing, concerned and responsible adult kind and Mustang was infuriatingly insistent when it came to those ones.

Which was kind of the whole reason he was annoyed and didn't want to be talking to her right now in the first place. Thinly veiled stress and concern that he really didn't want to be dealing with right now.

"Now, let's see 'bout rustlin' you up that grub." Ginger and secured, the cherub his picked up and tucked against the feline-avian and he begins walking towards the hotel's kitchen.

I’m coming down from an insane high because I;m lucky that my strongest hyper fixation in years hit me a week before a new book came out and now i can’t process that it’s over and it’ll prolly be 1-2 years before the next book but regardless… @korakos thank you for everything, these books and Neil and Jean and all the foxes and Trojans mean so much to me

(I’ll be posting way more tomorrow but im liegit tweaking out right now so no coherent thoughts for you)
