Hi! I only just found your blog the other day but I absolutely Adore your work. The energy of them is just incredible :D
I don't know if you do any Nuwho Docs or if you even watch NuWho but I'd love to request a Twelfth doctor if that's at all interesting to you :D
If not, I don't know much about classic who but perhaps a punk Jamie? Though I imagine him still being a little cutie despite the harsher vibe.
Hope one of these inspires you ^^ So excited to follow your work!
Ahw thank you so much 😭😭😭 I will absolutely draw 12 later on for you! I do like Nuwho i havent watched most of it (i just always get sad Nine is on for such a short while- he's my favourite from the ones ive watched) but PUNK JAMIE JUST SPOKE TO ME SO HARD I HAD TO DO IT IMMEDIATELY. Do electronic bagpipes exist?

so 😕 about how Tessa has all these moments in internal monologue about how deep down she’s always known Aunt Harriet making excuses for Nate wasn’t right and that he didn’t deserve all they both did to coddle him and that she always compartmentalized to see him as a good older brother, and how that’s all come to the surface now she knows he was willing to sell her out (though not the full scope of that) but then when Mortmain comes she still instinctively doesn’t tell Nate and goes instead ‘to protect him’ ugh. Like it feels so real as a depiction of a woman internalizing societal norms even though part of her is aware…

If there is at least one thing I can credit FE for doing better than Tales in localization, it's not trying to actively go out of their way for an entire game to avoid subtext or direct text between two men that is romantic or implied romantic. Funny when it's so present that the attempt doesn't even work; infuriating that it was attempted to begin with.
So as much as I often have issues with some of FE's localizations, at least they have a leg up on loc Tales for that.

Hello to the Buddyfight fandom it's been a hot minute but god do i miss this show and have been making fanart for it in the background so i thought i'd post to tumblr too ^^
I swear every year I end up coming back to this show and wishing that it kept going, that it got rebooted, that i could just erase my memories of this show and just watch it all over again from the beginning to enjoy everything once again from Tasuku's own sense of justice twisting against him to Gao's suffering of PTSD and how heartfelt it was handled.
There's something very special about this show that I haven't been able to find replicated elsewhere. It has the most perfect world to exist (so much so that i'd love to be isekai'd into it if i could!!!) and while i have my own gripes with it (hi S3+) i honestly sometimes wish i could go back to my high school years of watching this show just to relive it all again :'D
Anyways!!! I hope there's still people out there who enjoy this show even ten years later who'll like seeing new funny artwork for it!
I wanna add too that i'm hoping to create a rewrite of FCBF (ft. seasons 1-3 + Ace) or at least create more artwork for my interpretation of it and its world!
Because, sincerely, this show is one of the few that, for all its flaws, hasn't disappointed me in the years that've followed unlike many other things i've seen and i wanna try to keep the spirit of it alive while I can thanks to that. And if there are any fans still in existence who love it, i wanna provide some food while its once again in my orbit because damn do i adore this show <3 <3 <#

my brother in christ, you need to stop hating what people are posting about mark hoffman and start posting all the deep character analysis your heart desires or something because being pissy at the fandom won't achieve shit, i'm being sincere

Taichi: Who the hell are you?
Despy: It's me! (Desperado notices he's being filmed and starts flashing the camera) You really wanna see this that badly?
-
Taichi (to Despy): Who are you? What's with that look?
Despy: You already know! Look UP HERE (pointing at his masked face)
Taichi: Who the hell ARE you?
Despy: It's ME!
Taichi: But these... (pointing at Desperado's exposed thighs)
Hiromu (off camera): Hey! I wanna fight that guy!
Taichi (to Hiromu): Who the hell is this guy?!
Despy: COME ON
-
Hiromu: You really do look like Desperado
Despy: Of course I do, I already told you!
Hiromu: Hey are you the real him?
Despy: YEAH I'M THE REAL ME!

im gonna put together a longer post after this for my other reactions but im putting this one here separately because i think it encapsulates my thoughts on this version of simm!master and its. they don’t really capture how he antagonizes the doctor. and what i mean is he simply would not let the doctor monologue at him like he does when twelve’s going off at him and missy. like ten fucking tries So Many Times to talk at the master, and consistently, the master cuts him off, snaps out a joke about whatever serious topic the doctor wants. he just doesn’t let it get that far, you know?
the stand-out moments he does are, from what i remember, the end of last of the time lords, when he literally Can’t stop the doctor from monologuing at him because he’s become jesus through Thought Power or some shit. and then the end of time moment we all love, stone-cold brilliant, which is a complete reversal where the doctor is the one (seemingly) securely powerless. when they’re on equal footing, he simply does not let the doctor talk at him.
and like yeah, the ‘didn’t listen to a word you just said’ thing is funny but. god, i don’t know how to put it. yeah, he would have listened. that’s why he always cuts the doctor off when the doctor tries to connect on the his terms rather than the master’s. that’s why he doesn’t let him monologue at him. that’s why he’s practically shouting over the doctor to be heard first.
if that makes any goddamn sense. do his bastardness properly, moffat. he would not fucking do that.

idk how to start this so this post is ab individual action, trying to motivate positive change in the world, etc etc
a lot of growing up in the US for me makes things feel more scary than they are. like it’s actually not that difficult to go out of your way to get a bottle of water or iced cup of water from some random drive through if you think you should do it. either fast food conglomerate or local actually, it’ll usually be cheaper than 5 dollars to get drinkable water. i try to have 5-10 dollars i can justify spending on water, and asking for change, because sometimes when i’m out driving i need to go grab water.
i do not do this for me as much as i try to do it specifically when i see someone who’s most likely homeless on a street corner. i’m sure one day i might do this and they might not be there when i come back, but what have i lost really? a bit of time and a bit of money that would’ve meant more to them, that i can hold onto until i see them next.
the pressure that a lot of people feel when they think “what can i do” comes from this grand narrative that the average citizen can singlehandedly fix the housing crisis. rich people? maybe. nonprofits? not in a day, not all one person still. what can i do is a question i ask a lot. what can i do, not just because it feels bad to move along like nothings wrong with the world, but what can i do that will do anything. what can i do that makes even the smallest change.
i feel like it took me too long to figure out a personal method to what i consider individual action. it’s taking time to get to my own financial stability to be able to do more. but for now it’s as simple as water and cash. not water and food, but water and cash.
individual action means a lot in small steps, go get a bottle of water bare minimum and the price of a meal if you can and then just give it to them. if it wasn’t such a miserably hot place where i live i would keep a pack of water in my car, which i still want to do for the sake of having immediate access to water to give someone who might need it- hot or cold sometimes won’t matter. but when it’s hot out, get cold water, if it’s cold out, a warm tea will hydrate more than coffee will as long as it’s not super caffeinated.

Something I find fascinating about Melkor's character as a villain and how he fits as the satan-figure of the Tolkienverse is that he's ridiculously powerful and strong, he's brought kingdoms to their knees and marred the earth and yet...he's totally pathetic.
This guy is second in power only to God Himself and yet he's a complete coward and a loser. It's almost laughable, the sheer levels of pure lameness Melkor is able to reach. This is the dude who once went to the ocean just to scream curses at it in one draft; who was practically peeing his pants at the thought of having to fight Fingolfin; who put the largest bounties on the heads of thieves despite Melkor being a thief himself, with the evidence of it burned into his very flesh. He wanted to rule the world but then the moment he realized it could never be his and only his in its entirety, instead of admitting defeat he decided that throwing an eternally long temper tantrum about it all the while destroying everything and everyone around him was a much better idea.
And its so, so different compared to other fictional depictions of demonic/satan-esque characters I often see in the media, where they make him into this cool, attractive noble suave guy. It's honestly kind of refreshing, finding a fictional depiction of a Satanic figure who is none of those things whatsoever.
Can I see Melkor as an attractive, charming guy at the beginning? Sure. But at the end of the war of wrath, when he has wasted so much of his power and fallen so incredibly low? When he's in constant pain all the time? When he's just so incredibly awful that even his most devoted servant comes to hate his guts? No way.
Especially when Evil in the Tolkienverse is often associated with physical and mental deterioration(think Gollum), Melkor was bound to be a complete and utter wreck, a sad pitiful shell of the once great ainu he used to be, by the end of it all. Because that's what evil does to a person. It destroys them from the inside out until there's practically nothing left.
