im gonna put together a longer post after this for my other reactions but im putting this one here separately because i think it encapsulates my thoughts on this version of simm!master and its. they don’t really capture how he antagonizes the doctor. and what i mean is he simply would not let the doctor monologue at him like he does when twelve’s going off at him and missy. like ten fucking tries So Many Times to talk at the master, and consistently, the master cuts him off, snaps out a joke about whatever serious topic the doctor wants. he just doesn’t let it get that far, you know?

the stand-out moments he does are, from what i remember, the end of last of the time lords, when he literally Can’t stop the doctor from monologuing at him because he’s become jesus through Thought Power or some shit. and then the end of time moment we all love, stone-cold brilliant, which is a complete reversal where the doctor is the one (seemingly) securely powerless. when they’re on equal footing, he simply does not let the doctor talk at him.

and like yeah, the ‘didn’t listen to a word you just said’ thing is funny but. god, i don’t know how to put it. yeah, he would have listened. that’s why he always cuts the doctor off when the doctor tries to connect on the his terms rather than the master’s. that’s why he doesn’t let him monologue at him. that’s why he’s practically shouting over the doctor to be heard first.

if that makes any goddamn sense. do his bastardness properly, moffat. he would not fucking do that.

gepard

would be on the look out when you mentioned about your hidden power. heavily protective of you and would prefer you both fought together always. would keep this a secret between you to avoid gossip from silvermane guards.

when it triggers, he would try his best in calming you down by making you look in his gentle eyes or making him listen to his words. he would never want to resort to fighting you. if you somehow just cant snap out of it, he would just hug and hold you tight. that way you know hes right there.

would ask natasha and other doctors about your condition and how to contain it. even better how to make it in a condition where it is controllable and not harmful to yourself.

would reassure you that you are not a monster and that you’re you, the one he loves and cherishes everyday.

blade

he sense your strong energy and aura the first time you both met. tbh thats what intrigued him about you anyway is how come he feels a sense of very powerful aura around you and yet you never mention a thing about it.

when you revealed it to him, he isnt surprised. he himself abandoned his body to become a blade, to possess terrifying power of self-healing which in the process, was probably the most painful thing to get through. to the point he probably got used to it. he eventually knew how to control it and lived with it. (a/n: correct me if im wrong abt this part but blade’s lore still confuses me ++ some of these are plain speculation if he did feel any pain when he abandoned his body!)

during random hours of the day or week, he would give you unwanted advice on how to live with your given powers. he would also make you join him and the stellaron hunters because he believes in your abilities if you havent already.

when you do get out of control, i feel like he’d let you release everything (except when its drastically making you insane/lose health, etc.) until you calm down a bit. he will pat you on the back and would give you treatments that he used to drink or take whenever he felt out of control before.

jing yuan

he knew from the look from your eyes that you have something powerful and absurd hidden. he just couldnt shake it off. kinda like blade except he wouldnt bring it up or question you.

when you revealed your struggle for control over your own powers, he will not be the one to judge. instead, he comforts you and maybe would help you control it by regular training with him. would search for more optimal ways that can help you.

when you get out of control, i feel like he would spar with you (obviously not hurting you) until you get tired. that is when he gently carries your body and take cares of you.

he is very detail-oriented/observant and he knows the symptoms if youre about to lose it. he asks his servants to grab him medicine for you to drink to help it subside and eventually not be as bad. mimi is also there to calm you down. would rub up your legs or arms or lay by your feet.

An Ideal Ending For Bnha

I would like to talk about what can/SHOULD happen at the end of Bnha as good and realistic happy ending. By ending, i mean what should happen to villains and society at the end.

Since Bnha is a positive story about change, we know things has to change. Killing villains or locking them up forever (Tartarus) is not solution. Society should focus on rehabiltion of these villains. So how to do that? Lets get into it.

In-Prison Rehabilitation Programs

Rehabilitation does not have to begin once an offender is released from prison. Most prisons now offer at least some programs that are designed to help inmates more easily adjust to conditions outside of prison once they are released. These programs are often aimed at helping offenders acquire job skills, overcome substance abuse problems, or learn how to deal with common challenges they may face upon release. Some in-prison programs include:

Adult education courses

Religious services

Mental and physical health programs

Language courses

Job skills workshops

Before i get into this rehabilitation part, i would focus on league of villains (especially main villain trio) to explain this.

I think league of villains at the end should live in some kind of mental institute. The reason is well they clearly need mental and psychical help with their quirk. Society is own to them since they are victims of society, thats why society has to help them but at the same time, they did many violent things so leaving them free doesnt make sense. But locking them doesnt work either so i would say best option is social works. Forcing villains or the ones who want to rehabilitate should clean the messy they made.

This is good solution because

1- This means less work for heroes and other people

2- Consequences

3- Help them to learning good things, especially with their quirk, it would be very helpfull.

But of course, society wouldnt trust villains to do job by leaving them alone. And lets remember; it is heroes job to deal with villains, right? Then how about hero job gets categories? Heroes who catches villains (maybe Bakugou or others), heroes who support other heroes, heroes who make support items, heroes who protects civillians, heroes who help people with weird/dangerous quirks, heroes who help rehabilitation of villains. Hero job doesnt necessarely needs to be gone, it can still exist but this time, it will be really for everyone’s sake.

So every villain who gets rehabilitation should get at least one hero partner. For example;

For Spinner, it can be Shoji. (Not sure about Mr Compress).

For Toga, it can be Uraraka and others.

For Shigaraki, it can be Deku and maybe if he lives, Allmight can help them too.

For Dabi, it can be Shouto, this would be amazing opportunity since they get to know each others as brothers. Isnt that good, Dabi? Shouto will give the all attention you ever desired. Shouto and Touya would be amazing together because Touya is kind of person who express himself with actions more than words and Shouto is the kind of person who pay attention to someone’s actions more than their words. I can imagine them being the silliest brothers ever.

Tenko and Touya always wanted to be hero, not only they can be hero/help people but also they can take responsbility for their actions at the same time. Isnt that good, Tenko, Touya? You can be hero too.

If a villain wants to go out freely (maybe once or twice a week) and if that villain is dangerous, then their hero partner should join them. I am not saying that they should live like this forever but at least, for a period of time, they should.

+ Also Hawks should get this rehabiltation with Tokoyami as partner too since honestly, he really needs therapy and needs to face consequences too.

Also, i think society really needs to hear those villain stories, that the people they called villains are humans and their suffering. Society should make support items for every person for their quirk, like, actualy quirk doctors who will help people, not respressing them or shutting them down. They really need, especially next generation, they need well prepared education.

At schools, these new historical events between heroes and villains should taught to kids and reminding them that the meaning of heroes so that they will never forget. Of course, not everything will be solved by this but at least, we should see the effort and some positive change in society.

Also, another reason why i want league of villains to live in some kind of mental institute/house type of place is because i think they shouldnt be separated. They are family and friends, they can heal together.

Especially, about Dabi’s ending with Todoroki family. I think family needs time to heal and a little space. Both side accepting each others wont be easy. Touya needs therapy and letting him go to his family as nothing happenned doesnt make sense, especially considering that he is the only one whose family is alive and accept him.

Also, league is Dabi’s family too. They should be together. Todoroki family can visit him sometimes, maybe he can go to live with them once a while with Shouto by his side.

- If Endeavour lives at the end, he should definitely loose his hero job and get out of his family’s life at least. (Though, i think this wouldnt be enough to punish him since he hurted so many people, not just his family.). And also heroes shouldnt get away with doing wrong things, just because they are ‘heroes’.

And i dont think Dabi ever will forgive Endeavour, him accepting Endeavour would be unrealistic and terrible message since some victims have a right to not forgive and have space from their abusers forever. Best development that can ever happen between Dabi and Endeavour is Dabi’s giving up on killing him and respecting other family members choices to forgiving him or not. For example, Fuyumi or maybe Shouto or others can forgive him and if they want, they can still meet him but Endeavour should stay away from Dabi forever. Btw since Todoroki family can really help Dabi a lot, Fuyumi can teach him many things, Natsuo can help with medical issues, Shouto with hero issues, Rei can help him since she also lived in mental institue too before. So many options.

- Izuku’s bullying and his feelings for the bullying gets explored and Izuku takes his time for it too, especially some space from Bakugou.

- If Kurogiri lives, Aizawa and Yamada can help him and also by helping some noumus who can still be human.

- If league lives (they should,), they live together and heal together.

- Happy ending for Todoroki family.

- Tenko finally achieve his dreams to be hero.

- Hero kids being actual heroes. I really want them to think about how to improve society and them constantly trying to reach out villains, failing over and overi sometimes giving up but eventually reaching that point, that would be amazing.

- Aoyama and Deku’s quirkless history hsould get explored more.

- Quirkless people can help others too.

- By helping villains and spending them with them, they can also learn many new perspectives that they never considered.

- Izuocha/Shigatoga canon.

- Prisons like Tartarus should end forever.

- Afo-Ofa should end for good. I mean, Afo lived enough and Ofa souls too. Time to rest in peace.

- I think at some point in story, everyone/hero kids and even with league of members, they can fight against Afo to save Shigaraki, that should happen, that would be really epic.

If you actually think about it, it makes sense, especially since we already get chapters that called ‘This is the story of how we all become heroes’. Its also interesting that even in villain chapter we get this, it says ‘minus 1′, i think it also shows that they will also get that point too. I also kinda think this is the kind of ending author want to make, even if he cant, this is what he write.

There might be things i forgot to say but for now, thats it. This is the best possible ending i can think right now. Anyway, author might mess up the ending and all so if it ends up messed up, then you can consider this as real canon ending because thats what they deserve.

i think about gillion tidestrider an unhealthy amount. i just experienced the “my final sin; i hate you” monologue for the first time last night and let me tell you i have some WORDS

(i’m using this ask as an excuse to ramble about gill because i’m usually a jay main but i adore all of albatrio so much and gillion is just AUUGH)

obligatory no spoilers pls as i’m on episode 80,, so also like. spoiler warnings!!

the more we learn about the past the more it just fucking stings, and you can so clearly see the way it’s shaped his friendships on the overseas. he was forced into the box of something incredibly demanding, ie the chosen one, at such a young age. it practically seems to be to the point where he wasn’t even allowed to think for himself.

i honestly think a lot of his journey with the albatrio has been healing in the sense that he feels like he’s able to be the thing for chip and jay that he never had growing up.

despite his hardships with chip, he always encouraged him to be a better person, he made him a better person, but every time along the way he assured him that he was always good to begin with. he let him know he was enough at every step of the way, and he regarded him highly even from the very beginning, like how he put so much significance into that battle in episode 15.

no one ever told gillion he was enough. that he was good. they only ever told him to be more.

in the block, he allowed jay to shoot him, and he went down to (what he thought was) certain death with a smile on his face. he begged her to just tell him what it was he had to fight for, because he would fucking fight for it because she was jay. he supported her freedom to choose her path in life. and after it was revealed that she betrayed them he still trusted her. he let her move on after she fucked up.

nobody supported his freedom. nobody let him choose. nobody let him move on from his mistakes.

nobody fought for him.

AND THE IMPACT HE’S HAD ON THEM IN RETURN?? IS CRAZY. OHHH MY GOD DONT GET ME STARTED.

its really hard not to get angry sometimes

i know im a full time college student so doing classwork and networking and whatnot is my job. but like i have two jobs, and im taking 16 hours of classes, and one of my professors is the worst.

this man told me he wouldnt excuse any absences for a surgery i was supposed to have this wednesday. but since i had sepsis and could have died i GUESS i can have that excused.

im on a very liberal campus. and i am a very liberal myself. but jesus christ i'm starting to get why disability gets denied so often and why nobody believes me when i seek help.

im sure some of it is just my anger spilling over, and i feel the need to get angry at people with less severe symptoms than me, but there are also just so many people here who don't have what they claim they have.

you would think as people studying mental health and illness and the brain you would know that not having any sensory or social issues prior to college means you dont qualify for an autism diagnosis. but that just slips right over so many people's heads.

im not even kidding, i had someone tell me that because im diagnosed autistic that i cant make autism jokes because it isnt fair to the people who self diagnose.

it isnt fair to some of the people who take the resources i need and delegitamize my illness.

and ofc not everyone who self diagnoses is wrong. i mean i cannot tell you the amount of people i know who suspected autism, saved up their money, and bam, autism diagnosis. Even those who can't go get a diagnosis are often correct, they have the symptoms!

but these people literally cannot stop themselves from divulging information about their pasts that proves they just have ADHD and social issues.

if you take psych classes in college people will trauma dump. its inevitable. but to trauma dump, give us a full look at you and the issues you've had, then claim a disability you don't have the symptoms of makes me upset.

i think its hard for me too because i want to pretend that autism is becoming more socially acceptable but it really isnt. the idea of "quirky childlike autism bean" is becoming popular. i miss a lot of social cues, and sometimes i say things that are not appropriate because i misread the room. accepting autism would be like my friends who explain to me why what i said isnt appropriate and help me understand nuance. accepting autism is understanding that i cant go to every social event we plan because i cant handle new people, so you plan events just for us.

it isnt people who coddle my destructive symptoms and let me get away with stuff because "well you have autism."

no autism isnt an excuse you can use for stalking someone. (yes someone tried this excuse after i reported them to administration for threats/harassment)

its not an excuse you can use for why you dont do chores or help around the apartment. (seen this one on our college yikyak)

its not a badge of honor that grants you access to some secret club.

its got perks but its got a ton of downsides. i have to consciously manage my symptoms daily. and its exhausting! but thats what its like to have something like this.

i dont wanna devalue other people's experiences, and i really just want to know why people think its so cool to be disabled. i guess i just wish i could be them. that i could have something mild or not at all and just get to claim the title and manage a couple symptoms.

but that wasnt what i got.

i think everyone who suspects a disability of sorts deserves recognition and the access to doctors who can help them for cheap or free.

even if you dont have what you think you do, you might have something else. or maybe you are even atypical!

i just get upset because i had to jump through all of these hoops and have so many people treat me different just because of some words on paper that i had to pay for. i mean seriously testing is expensive and its all for what? a piece of paper that says i cant make eye contact or handle loud sounds (/s)?

that i had to be so uncomfortable and treated so badly to find out thats whats wrong with me.

and some people just dont have to go through that.

im angry that i did and they didnt.

but thats life. its different for everyone. and i know that. i just wish i didnt get so angry sometimes.

i just- his hands trying to stop you from pushing him away and get ahold of you- “BASTA mija, ella no es nada para mi, let me fix this, tu eres la mejor cosa para mi” i- and him looking at you todo perdido when you push him away angrily,, wanting to get as much space away from him

and theres this tense ass moment where you can barely even look at him through your eyes,, taking a shaky breath like- “cuantas mas hay,,,, dime la verdad-”

but-  ,just him looking down, silent becasue he cant bring himself to lie to you again,, not with they way he can feel his heart in his throat if he even tries to- “dejame arreglar esto, profavor mi amor, i never wanted to hurt you”

so i LOVE the doctor trope w stephen and tony to death, like probably a lil too much, but hear me out

--canon tony and the avengers with not canon (aka powerless) little peter

--im thinking how they met is before peter became classified as a little, he was smart smart. so, he still gets the internship, but a real one this time.

--hes hanging out with the other interns when he feels himself regress. he freaks and goes to hide in a bathroom or something

--he runs into (probably pepper??) someone and they help him get out of the tower because he's obviously very vulnerable

--they (pepper?) take him to the hospital to get tested and find out hes a high care little. once they find out peter freaks out because omg he cant work like this

--(pepper?) assures him that they will figure it our, but with no CG, and just for plot sake, he also is living alone at this point so they dont feel comfortable sending him home, so he stays overnight, at least, in the hospital

--(pepper?) goes to talk to tony himself about this since hes the one who chose and hired the interns. tony isnt quite sure what to do because peter is one of the best in their group

--(pepper?) suggests that he go have a one on one talk with peter and see what the boy wants to do with his future, and also meet with the doctors to see what they think is best for his future

--now, tony has met peter a few times, and the kid is pretty cool, but he never really cared about him (harsh, but canon tony is pretty reserved so yuh) so, when he goes into the hospital room to talk with him, hes mentally preparing to never see peter again

--but, when he walks in, he sees peter sat on a cot carefully coloring in an avengers coloring book, and his entire aura is different and /adorable/

--as if he wasnt already kinda done for, when peter notices he's there, he looks up, eyes blown wide and a kid-like face on full of awe

--he sits on the end of the bed and they simply stare at each other before peter finally gets the courage to ask why tony is there, stuttering through it like an adorable mess

--tony freaks out, because as good as peter is, he planned on letting peter down, but now that hes here, all he wants is to see the boy.

--instead he smooths his nervousness and easily asks about how the boy is doing. he asks if peter has a CG, and predicably, peter just sadly shakes his head

--anyways i dont really know how this part would be worded, and it probably wouldnt happen in just one day, but eventually tony asks peter if he wants tony to take care of him

--peter is a cutie and accepts, again dont really have this part planned out, im akward when it comes to writing about the adopting of a little

--he goes with tony and since he lives in the tower, he also gets the avengers as glorified CGs. now this is the part i LOVE

tony stark- he's obviously the main man and does all the main caring. hes the one who sleeps with peter and makes sure he gets food, and plans the days. he also sometimes will hand make little gadgets (safe ofc) to occupy peter. he gets peter little engineering/inventing kits and will hold back any groans he has as peter hits his leg with a plastic hammer and screwdriver. he also is the one who is ALWAYS there, when he cries, when he's happy, when he's sad.

thor- he lets peter play with his hair, and even lets the boy snuggle, and sometimes even chew on, mjolnir (because of course peter would be worthy)

steve rogers- he lets peter look at and hold the shield. one day he finds the boy curled like a cat dosing on the inside of it

natasha- she speaks in russian to him, and when he goes outside to the park, shes there making sure no one disturbs him

wanda+sam (i had an idea for them when i originally thought of this, but i cant remember it now :/)

bucky- he lets peter also mess with his hair, although more rare than thor, but he does let peter suck on his metal fingers when hes really small, and will scratch peters scalp with it, the metal scratching much better than normal skin. also if he ever gets a fever, the cold of the arm feels amazing on his forehead

bruce- not strictly canon since hes more sciency than doctor, but i imagine bruce is the one who does checkups and takes care of the meds when peter is sick

stephen- he doesnt do it often, plus he's not at the tower much, but hell do little harmless "magic" tricks to excite Peter and when peter gets grumpy, stephen will give him a little stress spell thing to calm peter down

peter quill- i imagine hes the one who is down to do lots of fun stuff, but is also the most reckless towards the actions suited towards littles, getting a lot of scolding from tony. also, he has great taste in music, so when peter has bursts of energy, he'll bounce around the room dancing to old 80s music

rocket- hes the closest peters ever gonna get to a pet, and with lots of bribing from tony, rocket /occasionally/ lets peter pet him and feed him "treats", sometimes peter will ask rocket to do a trick like jump or spin, but rocket with always decline...at first. peters trademark pouts do the trick because either rocket will concede and hurt his pride, or tony will see and threaten rocket into making his little boy happy. its always worth it to see the happy little squirms and claps

gamora- she's the resident story teller. when its bedtime, she'll share her cool space stories, leaving out the gory/scarier aspects. it always does the trick as hes out in minutes. sometimes hell catch her and peter q engaging in loving activities (ie kissing, hugging, whatever), and he'll just giggle away, and as embarrassed as gamora gets, not being an openly affectionate person, she might just go to the extreme to hear the cute giggles out of the little boy

clint- hes pretty chill with peter. he also likes to play games with the boy, playing things like peek-a-boo when he's super small, or playing darts when he feels older. tony isnt /too/ happy about it, but its better than quill so he doesnt say anything.

pepper is there too because i love the idea of tony working away somewhere and pepper calling peter in, handing him a few sheets of paper, sometimes actual documents, sometimes just scratch paper to entertaim the boy, before asking peter to deliver them to tony. she always has a smile when peter eagerly nods with his whole body before running to the office to give tony the papers. it almost always ends with peter in his lap, but it /always/ ends in tony praising him, saying something along the lines of 'theres my little helper boy. look at you'

--on any particular day peter wakes up aged up, he doesn't even miss his old internship because this life is so much better, although on these days tony actually lets him help with some safer stuff in the lab with him

--also, they are still the avengers and still have to save the universe. tony leaves him in the care of Happy or Pepper, trusting them both to handle him. sometimes, it ends in disaster. sometimes, they are lucky enough to find happy laying on the couch, with a drooling little boy soaking his suit

--no matter how things end up, it never gets old being able to come home and cuddle up with the reason tony wants to save the universe.

--its no surprise peter is able to help the man just as much as tony helps him. tony stops locking himself up so late at night so he can put peter to bed and cuddle up. he stops drinking when he's stressed, instead finding his boy and reading a story to him. his hookups end, he wants to be there for peter all the time. he gets more work done, the added bonus of having a pretty little boy in his lap helping keep his mind on track.

--tony still has his canon issues, but having peter there makes everything a little more manageable. and when he eventually gets too old to be ironman, its okay, because his universe is lying in bed, a red pacifier in his mouth, and a family of superheroes softly arguing about who the boy loves most

--and despite tony being a narcissist, he knows this is not that, when he thinks that without a doubt he is peters favorite. after all, peter helped him see the good inside the bad

What Im thinking about today: BNHA n stigmatization of psychology.

The thing is, we as humans are very ready to help each other (most of the time). Thats why we try to rehabilitate prisoners, thats why we volunteer, thats why proffesions such as doctors, social workers and psychologists etc exist. I think we talked here before how most villains in the series havent been failed by heroes, they've been failed by societal safety nets that were meant to catch ppl like them, just like social workers try to catch endangered kids and psychologists try to catch people with mental problems.

Now i study psychology so ill concentrate on that. Obviously it depends from place to place but mental care is still very often looked down upon as 'something for crazy people.' I have personal expirience with that as when i suggested to my dad that maybe he should look into a psychologist too (after my brother started going to one) cuz he has some issues that he could use a hand dealing with, his response was 'what? But im not crazy'. I study psychology and he still often makes jokes about me treating crazy people in the future. I interviewd a school psychologist for a class and she told us that one of the first things she has to do in a school is get students to relax and feel comfortable coming to her with problems cuz there is a very clear stigma in everyones mind that asking for help with your mental problems is something bad, something wrong, something that means you are crazy, wierd, other and people do fear that stigmatization. Going to a psychologist doesnt mean you are crazy, it means you are having problems that you cant deal with on your own and that you need proffesional help with. Nothing more, nothing less. Those problems can be depression or they can be helping you to deal with lingering emotions from your divorce. Big or small, psychology is simply there to give you support and tools you need to feel good again. You wouldnt stigmatize someone for going to the doctor for a soar throat or cancer so you shouldnt stigmatize someone seeking p much the same help for mental illness.

But people still do because things ingrained in society are very very hard to uproot and things are going for the better with every generation but its a painfully slow process and there is no telling how many people fall through that net because they dont seek help when they still can because they think 'im not crazy im not gonna go to those mumbo junbo psychologist that mess with your head' which is very much like going 'im not gonna go to a doctor for my infected wound, they would mess with my body'. Untreated infections spread and get worse and people fall through.

This is what leads me back to bnha. We dont know exactly how long the world of quirks existed, i think i saw a post breaking it down to be for about 100-300 years but for the life of me i cant remember. We know its not terribly long. 100 years may seem long until you remember a single human can live to 100 years old. Now my question is, if a science such as psychology that has been present since like ancient greeks n egypt n stuff can still be stigmatized.

How accepted would quirk counseling be?

Lets not forget that quirks were heavily discriminated against in the begining, treated as monsterous and the other and the acceptence of them is still something fresh and more extreme mutations still face hate groups. Like its completly canon that there are people alive now in bnha whos parents or grandparents faced discrimination or died because of quirk discrimination (cough redestro cough).

Imagine being Togas parents.

Your child displays a quirk like that. You still have in memory your parent or grandparent who was discriminated and monsterized because of a similar quirk. Quirk counceling exists but why should you take your daughter there. Shes not a monster, this isnt something you should get someone else involved with, its a family matter and what do those counselors know anyway, they will treat your daughter as a monster and make everything worse. You can handle this yourself, you can teach her to supress it. Shes not a monster.

The wound festers.

This especially goes hard for japan whos big on the keeping things in the family aspect and not discracing the family. The stigma is still fresh in the memory and you dont want to be that family whos kid goes to quirk counseling. You shut the doors, you shut the windows, you deal with it within the family.

I think that while quirk counseling exists in bnha, it would most likely be seen as something thats shameful to atend, a admitance that you dont have control over your own quirk. Your friends might say 'what the fuck man why are you going there, you arent a monster' even if a quirk that has negative effects should be treated as shortsighted eyes that need glasses. Just because it doesnt function well, doesnt mean its bad. But well stigmatization of disabled is a whole nother thing our society also has problems with and that also connects to bnha (cough aoyama cough). I think thats why its so easy for people in bnha to fall through those safety nets. I do belive they exist but they are new, probably not the most super effective as most new things tend to be and are probably looked down upon.

And hate to break it to shiggy and the crew but thats the kind of a problem that can only be fixed my longterm education and normalization of asking for help rather then burning the systhem to the ground.

Mental health is still stigmatized everywhere, even here in the UK where we’re supposed to have some of the best health care available (which is debatable). To bring something a little personal into this, my flatmates and I were playing a guessing game where I had to describe a word with other descriptions being taboo (in my case it was headache) and as my flatmates know I suffer from chronic headaches, I said as a clue that it was something I get often. Well, a flatmate who was a little tipsy at the time who knows about my depression shouted depression to my other shocked flatmates (I didn’t mind, in fact I found it hilarious). But after we had all calmed down, one of my flatmates said something that stuck with me: “Maybe you shouldn’t overshare things��.

Now, I don’t see telling people I have depression as something I’m oversharing. It’s not private, it’s a mental health condition I suffer from that can kill me if it goes unchecked (before starting medication again, I was very suicidal). In fact, it benefits both me and my flatmates to know that I have depression just in case. And yet it was viewed as something that I was “oversharing”.

This attitude has only arisen because people treat mental health as something that is shameful and should only be known among family members. In fact, I had no clue that DASS (a disability service in uni) was actually also for mental health issues because we’ve been raised with people treating mental health as something “in our heads” and so isn’t as important as physical disabilities, it was only until my uni pointed out that it was there for every condition, physical and mental.

The point I’m making is that I can totally see mental health in BNHA be treated as a shameful secret. Japan doesn’t have the best track record when it comes to mental health anyway (don’t they have some of the highest suicide rates?) so it wouldn’t surprise me if the BNHA universe is the same. In fact, the only mental health issues we’ve seen in BNHA currently are the extreme examples of it such as Twice and Dabi’s mania.

I would love to see Horikoshi delve a little more into quirk counselling and the potential stigma behind it. I know it’s been brought up once or twice (UA treats it as something normal but as teachers who see mental health issues all the time, it’s no wonder that they do) but not enough in my opinion when it’s probably one of the most important stop gaps between making villains.

I don’t have much hope, admittedly, but it would be something fun to explore in fanon too!

A/N: @obxmermaid​ welcome to day 12. where we find that YN has just recieved an owl from her parents that her father was in a car accident and is in acoma, she goes to stand by the frozen black lake but is immediately submerged when something or someone knocks her into the water and no one realizes she is missing till a few hours later. again apologies for the word vomit.

Prompt: “her body is freezing, she needs help.”

25 days of hogwarts

the water flooded your lungs, the light disappearing, your voice not vocalizing. no one around. you were alone. you were drowning. you had fallen through the ice. 

you werent sure how, you werent sure why, you didnt know how to call for help. but lets figure out what happened to get you to this point. lets retrace your steps. 

you were sitting in the quad, you were waiting for Draco to finish helping snape with the potion replenishment and for their evening/afternoon together to start. suddenly a fire message appeared before you. 

“dear YN, this is to inform you of an accident concerning your father. he was out driving back from a grocery shop when he was attacked, his vehicle was run off the road on the way back to your family house. your father is in a coma. dont worry my daughter, the doctors say he will be fine, their doing what they can to heal his injuries. i know this will hurt alot, but you will have to be strong. draco will comfort you in these times during this time i know that much. cause you are a strong brave girl, you are going to be an extraordinary witch one day with a extraordinary wizard for a husband. you both will live in peace, you both will live in harmony. with every breath in our family, There will be a family reunion for Christmas, and i invite you and Draco to join in the festivities. please dont worry too much about your father. he has been through worse than this in his lifetime and this is not gonna be the last time. write back soon dear. all my love, mother.”

that was it by the time the last word left your lips, you had started walking out of the quad. you had your cloak on and was ready to run. you had to go somewhere quiet somewhere the opposing people wouldnt find you. or anyone for that matter.

you found yourself now standing in front of the black lake. half frozen half not. but something happened, for you were being stalked, then chased, by something or someone behind you, moving at great speed. before you could react you were thrust through the ice and into the freezing lake. 

the sound cut out, your blood pumping loudly in your ears, you were inaudible. you were unsure of how to vocalize anything right then, your mind numbing from the frigid temperatures, confusing you. As you slowly grew colder and colder, you knew not of your own locale, your brain foggy from the chill. 

at the very moment of you running to the lake, Draco had been coming to find you. he had tried to send a fire message to you, but it came back undelivered. he had asked around and still could not find you anywhere. he figured you were napping in your room or something and would see you for dinner. 

when you didnt show he went to the professors. he went straight to the exact ones who he thought might need to know. 

Draco: i was supposed to meet YN a few hours ago. i figured she would have been napping or something but none of the ghosts have seen her, they say she isnt in her dorm. she isnt in any of the classrooms, the quidditch tent or the astronomy tower. im worried. 

Minerva: its gonna be dark soon we all need to search for her. make sure nothing bad has happened to her. 

Snape: ill stay here and make sure i have the proper antidotes and things ready in case of the worst or injury. 

Flitwick: ill search in the lower half of the school, perhaps she went on a quest through the lower ravenclaw tower. 

Minerva: Mr Malfoy, you and i are gonna go search the grounds. see if hagrid has seen anything. or knows of anywhere she may be. 

draco follows Minerva through the rest of the grounds. both of them reaching the path to hagrids hut before Fang comes barging up the path. and running down towards the black lake. 

Draco: hargid whats going..

Hagrid: fang senses some danger, come on, follow that dog. 

both minerva and draco follow in suit. hagrid had a head start... 

arriving at the lake all 4 of them stood there where the ice was broken. the look of shock and horror that bewildered Draco’s features now allowing him to with the fleeting fact of this is an emergency. 

he took off his shoes, used the bubble head charm, and dove into the lake. Minerva and Hagrid took the time to use a simple fire spell to melt some of the ice around the docks. 

Draco down in the lake now using his wand to search for you. his idea of shine the light in the lake to find you. instead he used in-audible magic to place out a tracker. 

he swam with all his might, using his strength to attempt to get to you. it was another 5 minutes into his swim that he finally saw the light had stopped, he had found you. he reached you. gripping you around the waist with one arm he started to make his way to the top. 

but it got too much. the weight was too much. he ditched both yours and his cloaks and it made things a little easier. but as they neared the top he sent out red sparks with his wand to alert that he had found you. 

Minerva: there they are. hagrid be ready with those blankets we are gonna need them. ascendio.. 

she pointed her wand at the place where the sparks had come from. in moments you and draco came shooting onto the dock. 

Draco: her body is freezing, she needs help... we have to get her to snapes classroom now. 

Hagrid stepped forth, handing a blanket to Draco while placing a few around you, with the help of both Minerva and Draco.

minerva: hagrid would you like to come along for this travel or will you meet us there after you clean this mess up?

Hagrid: go on ahead ill come by later. 

minerva in moments poofed you, draco and herself to Snapes classroom. 

Draco placed you on the clear table as he sat on a stool on one side of the table with a blanket around his form, then watches as Snape expels the water from your lungs and assesses you for other injuries.

Snape: go get into some dry clothes mr malfoy. miss YN will be fine... she will still be here when you get back... but we dont need you out of commission as well. thats an order mr malfoy.

draco reluctantly went out of the classroom, he went to his dorm and got into some dry clothes and then went back to the potions classroom. snape turns in his direction as he enters the room.

Snape: she is gonna be fine, she should wake in the morning. you may take her to her dorm and stay there with her till she wakes. im sure she will want to see you first. 

Draco scopes you into his arms, taking you back to your dorm. he lays you on your bed. he uses in-audible magic to get you out of your wet stuff and into something dry without seeing anything that he knew wouldnt be right. 

he kicked off his shoes and placed both your wands on the stand as he sat on the edge of your bed and held your hand in his own. he lit the fireplace to heat the room, made sure you had blankets over you. 

he sat there waiting for you to, he gripped your hand and waited very patiently for your body to warm up, for you to stir, to move, for something to happen.

A few hours later your fingers started moving, Draco moved closer to you. His own hands gripping yours tightly.

Draco: come on love. Come on I can't live my future without you.

A few seconds more and your body sat upright and took a deep breath... you coughed a bit as your body shook. Draco’s hands held your own, his voice the only thing keeping you on planet earth. 

Draco: YN shh hey hey its okay. you are alright love. what happened?

YN: something or someone pushed me into the lake. i got a fire message from my mom, my dad was in a car accident that has put him in coma.. no doubt caused by your parents. 

Draco: and they will pay for that... i was so afraid i had lost you. but right now you need to rest. here scoot over let me in. ill stay with you. that and professor snape told me to keep an eye on you. 

YN: well this is excellent. i love having you here. i just hope my father is ok. 

Draco: and he will be... lets just get some rest right now so we can figure all this out tomorrow. hopefully with less of you or i almost dying and more of us being normal ish or about as normal as can be for a magic couple.

YN: i like the sound of that.

you moved over so draco could slide in beside you. he laid down all comfy with you laying against his chest and the sound of his heart beat lulling you to sleep. his eyes shutting as well for it had certainly been an exhausting day.

OH MAN i dont know a lot about what to say im just!!!! thinking about him so much. i said that i wouldnt go too in-depth with him because hes supposed to be just for funsies but im stupid so! ive been sketching out something of a plot for him & fifteen nd them Bonding and Escaping The Evil Laboratory Together and ive just been thinking about them like. living together after its all over n trying to live a normal life even when theyre all like. fucked up. idk but!!! because im rambling im gonna go into a list of random facts so i can try to stay a lil organized.

for a bit, Daniel just has the big mouth on his face and he can't really speak with it for a lot of reasons, so Fifteen teaches him sign! at first he just learns fingerspelling and spells out every word, and thats fine for a bit! but once theyre out daniel prefers to use sign in public because he tries to cover his face and neck as much as possible, and speech just doesnt... feel all that natural or comfortable with the second mouth anyways, so they both end up learning a lot more!

after they get out, daniel very impulsively rips off his number, which is a peice of cloth (or something? idk) the doctor actually like, sewed onto his skin, so that was probably not a smart move on his part. but later he gets a tattoo around the scar. i havent decided what of yet, but yeah.

fifteen actually leaves hers on! shes okay with her name being a number because like, shes never had any other name and she doesnt really like. give a shit what people call her. so for her its just a fun little name tag!

before everything happened, Daniel used to play guitar! he gets back into it after they get out as a sort of stress relief/distraction. he's not great but thats not really what matters.

he gets back into fishing, too! he doesnt hunt anymore, and he never keeps the fish he catches, he just finds it calming. sometimes he just doesnt put any bait on the hook and he'll just sit there for like. hours. just chillin. being by the water is nice, too.

they tried living in an apartment in the city for a bit but the noise and all the people around was just. so overwhelming for daniel. he spent most of his time inside and didnt ever go anywhere or do anything unless he absolutely had to. so as soon as they had the money to they got a place further into the countryside, near a smaller town. i still havent really decided like, where the fuck they are but dont worry about it. maybe like the midwest or the south or something. idk

fifteen gets into puzzles and video games! she finds an old console and absolutely slams through all the games she can get her hands on. she loves turn-based strategy games and also minecraft :D. she also eventually learns about online shooter games like overwatch and tf2 and. she is so fucking good at them. gamer gf.

fifteen is also super hyped to learn about fashion!!! she didnt wear clothes in the facility because she didnt have any and didnt see the need for any because she doesnt have like, boobs or anything. but when she learns that clothes can just be worn because theyre colourful and fun? she goes ham. she loves big long skirts and colourful t-shirts and anything brightly coloured. never shoes tho, she doesnt like them.

that said her fashion isnt like. good persay. yknow that post about how femmes all dress like miss frizzle? she does that but with slightly less coordination.

daniel doesnt have good fashion sense either sjdbdhdh hes a redneck butch at heart. genuinely owns at least one pair of camo cowboy boots, 90% of his wardrobe is denim.

their house is very sparsely decorated but at the same time very odd. like the few things they have are all things that they really, really liked and since neither of them have Normal or Good taste, they have some very uh. questionable decorations. basically just scroll thru shiftythrifting for a while and u will understand the vibe.

neither of them have cell phones. not for any real reason just. they dont have anyone to call. they dont need or want social media. if they really need something they can use the computer or the landline.

fifteen is very monotone with a pretty non-expressive face and she mostly just looks kinda o_o all the time.

daniel on the other hand is expressive to the point where he's embarrased about it, even when its harder to tell with his weird face. he's usually just like. in a state of mild crankiness but when its just him and fives he actually like. idk shes very calming for him in a way that is unfamiliar, but not unwelcome.

their home is usually very quiet! daniel doesnt speak a ton and fifteen is okay with that, and neither of them are really that big on music, preferring just to let it be quiet. its especially nice once they live near the river.

daniel has a lot of issues with chronic pain from his teeth, which just kind of. keep growing, all the time. once they get to the point where its like, he cant close his mouth anymore, then it becomes a problem that they actually have to like, Do Something about. (the doctors solution was to just rip out all his teeth every few years. obviously he's not too keen on that.) they end up just filing them down which still sucks and is difficult and annoying but. u gotta do what u gotta do yknow

i still dont know how but they do figure out a way to kiss that is good and comfortable for both of them. theyre not like, super outwardly fluffy and affectionate all the time but. they do still have their moments of softness

Shigaraki is NOT Free

Guys, i dont believe shigaraki is really free now. we saw how all for one manipulated him for years and now, he is becoming SOMETHING that all for one wants him to become. now why i am think like that?

we are seeing afo at this panel, big posibility its him. i dont believe he conciedencely find tenko, big posibility. i think most of us think like that.

how many times we saw this scene? just four times! like what the hell?! if you wont save this poor tenko, why do you keep showing this? horikoshi doesnt show things without reason. he is adding secret messages to his scenes so it means this scene has a lot of meaning than we thought.

and do i even need to talk about the perfect manipulation in this scene? look at the words he used. he doesnt talk randomly. he is choosing perfect words to manipulate tenko s mind

all for one showed his family s dead bodies. well maybe its not dead body but shigaraki believes they are so. if all for one really cares about shigaraki, would he do that?

shigaraki was abused all his life. his own father punished him for doing good things (tenko just wanted to help people, big posibility thats why he wanted to be a hero and yeah his father cares about his son but still, his father did hurt tenko even though he didnt mean it.)

while all for one basically praise shigaraki for doing bad things. he gave him toys. can you imagine how much this kind of raising can destroy a little child s mind

and he gave his lastname after he killed those punks. its like “you can join my family as long as you become a villain”. now for some people, it might have no meaning but for an orphan who lost his family , it has a lot of meaning that a lot of people cant understand that feeling.

there is no way shigaraki wanted to kill his family. i dont believe he meant it and i dont believe he is ok with that. he is just running away. if it was his own will, then he wouldnt be affected by that trauma this much. definitely he is feeling extremely remorse but he is saying “there is no tragedy”.

look at the moment tenko killed his family. dont read future shigaraki s thoughts. just look at tenko s despair. look at his eyes. this is why author showed that tragic moment brutally.

tenko s reaction is so similar to eri. so there is no way what shigaraki think can be true. its so tragic that words cant describe it. so basically what shigaraki thought is still wrong.

he is not finding a way he is believing what afo wants him to believe. “only exist do destruction”

afo knew eventually shigaraki will be destroy these hands. thats why we saw afo s words to shigaraki in chapter 239.

we still dont know a lot of things about shigaraki s past.

about these hands, bonus hand. how all for one find him. the mysterious memories doesnt fit. there are a lot of mysterious about that. and blah blah. why author keep making shigaraki parallel with other characters s victimhood. he is doing this only for shigaraki.

all for one doesnt see shigaraki as a person but something. we know all for one clearly manipulate shigaraki and now, he is supposed to be free but we are still seeing all for one s word to shigaraki.

all for one is saying “you are truly free”. (big posibilty, shigaraki is remembering all for one s words). it means that shigaraki became what all for one wants him to become. he is still affecting from all for one.

is that really the end for shigaraki s development? i dont think so. this series are all about character developments. not just for shigaraki, also for the sake of the story, this shouldnt be the last development for shigaraki.

shigaraki is different person from all for one. some people are saying that all for one also cared about his comprades or followers too. but i dont think its fair comprasion. all for one basically desroyed a little child s mind and used his trauma for his own selfish desires.

believe me, to be able to do that, you need to be more than just a murderer. you need to be extremely cruel. yeah, even there is a line that murderers shouldnt cross. cause its an another level of cruellness. someone like that wouldnt care about his comprades or followers and you can see how manipulative afo is. so i dont believe that. lets suppose he is someone like that or he was but...

shigaraki doesnt care about himself. he is making self destruction. he is keep hurting himself or most of times, he does nothing when he got hurt. i dont see that for all for one or anyone else, other villains. someone like that...it means he isnt enjoying his life, it means he is not really happy. i dont believe he is really happy. its too forcefull. he never cares about himself but you can clearly see there are people he cares about.

he cares about his family. this is why exteremly guilty about it even though he is denying it now.

he cares about afo cause he “saved” him

and he cares about kurogiri cause he was taking care of shigaraki.

he cares about his comprades and want a future for them cause they were besides of him, no matter what reason they did that.

he is killing people and destroying a lot of lifes but cause of doing this, he doesnt expect a future for himself. its like he knows what he is doing and he thinks that he doesnt deserves a future.

so it doesnt makes sense that someone like shigaraki can become someone cruel like all for one. (dont even need to talk about doctor who is the evilest character in bnha, at least he looks like to me).

i think future will be different from what we thought. look at this scene. shigaraki saved redestro from his weigh of destiny. (even though gigantomachia see afo in shigaraki but i dont think so. i think gigantomachia is wrong. i believe shigaraki is different from afo.) redestro isnt a successor anymore. he is something else. shigaraki has to be something else too.

also do you know what would be more epic? shigaraki s saving gigantomachia from all for one s manipulation, not just himself. shigaraki or people around shigaraki might believe shigaraki is free but he is clearly not. i dont think so.

its the ending of League of Villains? so what might happen?

shigaraki might betray them (well i dont think so but he is still affected by all for one so i expect everything but still dont think so.)

someone/some people will betray lov or they will destroy lov somehow? idk.

lov might change to something else. shigaraki is the one who will destroy and change it. well, honesty this one i want this to happen.

or maybe shigaraki will fail somehow? idk.

this hero society has to change. heroes have to make up for their mistakes and should be better heroes. shigaraki has to be saved. there shouldnt be victims like them. justice should happen for the sake of bright future. maybe thats why chapter 231 s name was bright future. the moment redestro destroyed shigaraki s hands. it was trigger for the beginning of the bright future? idk.

this arc was a my villain academia arc so basically shigaraki graduate from his villain academia but then, what will happen? in the future he will only stay with this character development or will we get another my villain academia arc? or shigaraki will be something else from a villain (this is what i hope honestly. well whatever as long as ending is a fair epic and happy.)

this anime s name is my hero academia cause our kids are learning how to become a better heroes and i dont think they will until this story ends. in the end, they will graduate while changing this messed up society and saving people. with creating a new world, hopefully.

but this scene show makes me think future will be different than we thought. Successors will choose their own path and they will be something different.

i also expect this kind of scene for shigaraki when he really become free from all for one s manipulation but looks like for a while, he will become what afo wants him to become.

(people are saying he is happy or he is free. honestly its so frustrating to hear that. cause its so sad cause i think its not true. i dont believe that he is free & happy. i want see his real freedom and his real happiness.)
