should i watch shogun
Short answer: yes.
Long answer: Shōgun is simply great television. As a historical drama (especially one focusing on an incredibly eventful and complicated era), it succeeds not only in telling a good story but staying true to the realities of the time period. The performances are fantastic: Cosmo Jarvis and Anna Sawai hold their own as a marooned English sailor and his stoic translator-turned-lover, and Hiroyuki Sanada is completely mesmerizing as the embattled warlord Yoshii Toranaga (inspired by the historical Tokugawa Ieyasu). (Seriously, he can speak volumes with just a tiny quirk of his mouth.) Plus, it's got something for everyone: intrigue, betrayal, power politics, a clash of cultures, earthquakes, Cosmo Jarvis getting naked almost every other episode, men being torn apart by cannons, and an exquisitely angsty romance. Last but not least, it's visually stunning, as evidenced by all the beautiful gifsets floating around after each episode. So, yes.

my second favorite spn headcanon is that Raphael is actually perfectly alive and it was just his vessel that died. when Cas went psycho and declared himself god Raphael was like “yk what, i don’t think i care about heaven anymore. i think I’m good” and noped-out of there Gabriel-style.

Hey folks, if you like the vibrant chaos of episode 4 of the web series or the inside of yellow guy’s head in episode 4 the tv series mixed with existentialism, old school game graphics, circus and playhouse aesthetics and a bit of body horror then you might wanna check out:
THE AMAZING DIGITAL CIRCUS
It’s pretty fresh off the press [the pilot dropped like- 2 days ago] and a real delight. Not to mention it’s just downright hilarious, so I highly recommend giving it a watch.

tuning into fairy fm 🧚🏻♀️✨ . . .
today's song recommendation is never need me by rachel chinouriri! i have recommended one of her songs before on fairy fm and i'm back with another one! this is an indie/alternative song (indie pop according to nme) that talks about "taking your power back the moment you realise that helping someone is actually hurting you because they aren’t willing to change" as stated by rachel herself. i would say rachel is an artist to look out for especially this year since this song (like the hills) will be included in her debut album called 'what a devastating turn of events' which will come out may 3rd! if you are really into rock/indie/alternative music like i am, i am sure you will definitely like her music

The other night I was having trouble going to sleep and then I imagined setting up a nice house/apartment for Cassian Andor with a bed tucked under a curved stone eave and piled up with quilts and blankets, a window-sill full of plants, a table and two chairs (so Jyn or Bix or hell, this is my bedtime AU, Nemik) can come over/live there and eat dinner there with Cassian and I drifted off trying to decide whether to give him a hand-knotted rug under the bed so he could walk around barefoot when he woke up or whether that would be too fussy.

If you live in Poco or Burnaby, you seriously need to visit Sushi On. This is hands down my favourite sushi place that's relatively close even though I live in Coquitlam.

You look like you season your steaks wrong
"As far as I am concerned, their are few ways to season a steak wrong. Nearly any combination of savory flavors compliment red meat well. My favorite preparation includes fresh herbs and a paste of black garlic.
Would you call that 'wrong', Stranger?"

True love type shit
If you need a classic soul song to remind you what love is, please listen and absorb the lyrics to Cigarettes and Coffee by Otis Redding.
Yes, it's from 1966. Yes, vices are in the title. But the words, you'll get the point I promise. The kind of love that makes you stay up late, talking about nothing important and everything that's meaningful at the same time.
Just have one more with me, before you go.
